Hello, my love. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. If you are new here, welcome, and get ready to be excited because we are going to become the best version of ourselves. We're all in this together. And speaking of this episode, this is really going to make you motivated to become the best version of you because today we're getting into the topic of fitness. I talk about fitness here and there in episodes, but this episode is going to be dedicated to your personal fitness journey.
It's going to be the ultimate motivation and honestly just how to get started.
So I'm really excited for this episode, but without further ado, let's get into today's weekly
review.
This week, I had an intense Sunday reset, which was so unbelievably needed.
I feel like sometimes we can just feel so unorganized and messy, and then when we have
that free day to actually clean up, it can change our entire week and weeks ahead.
And in my case, that definitely was the answer because I'm feeling so much.
much more organized and ready for the week. Another thing is I have been cooking at home lately.
I've been making salmon dishes, chicken, everything, and it feels so nice and rewarding to cook at
home. It's so funny when people say you save money cooking at home because let me just say that's
not the truth. Or in my case, it's not because I'm buying salmon, I'm buying steak, I'm buying
chicken. I'm buying probably the same amount I would spend somewhere at a restaurant, honestly.
But regardless, it feels so rewarding to actually cook at home and try out new recipes.
And my last weekly review is I've been feeling excited for the future. And honestly, there is
so much for us to accomplish an experience in the near future. So I'm just so excited for us.
Now on to my current obsession. My current obsession at the moment is reading. I literally
love reading. I am always a self-help reading, girly, but honestly, this is the first time since I was
literally in elementary school or middle school that I'm actually reading a fiction book, and it feels
so nice. I like to read all summer-themed books in the summer, and then when it's fall, I want to
read all type of fall books. It just really gets you in that seasonal excitement. Another current
obsession at the moment is self-driving cars. Yes, you heard me right.
self-driving cars. I have been taking self-driving cars lately and it is absolutely insane,
but to me it feels not very different since I don't have my license and I don't know what it
really feels like to drive around town. So me taking self-driving cars are not very scary
personally, but I absolutely love it and I feel like it's such a crazy way to get around town.
And my last current obsession at the moment is Pinterest every night. I love just at the end of the day
going on Pinterest and just seeing some inspo and what I want to do for the week.
Outfits I want to wear and honestly the ultimate motivation.
And I encourage you to do this every single day or if you can't every day, every single week
because it really just gets you in that motivated, excited mindset.
Now on to the goal of the week.
My goal for the week is to buy non-toxic candles.
I think that's something that is very important,
especially with healing my hormones, is to get rid of,
any toxic things in my house.
Another goal of the week is to learn about different types of flowers.
Every week I love to buy flowers for my place.
My mom's the sweetest.
Every single time she's in town, she will buy me flowers,
and it just feels so lively and comforting
to have flowers in your space.
But I want to look into which ones actually last the longest,
so they don't start molding that quick within the week.
And my last goal of the week is to have a morning stretch outside.
I feel like that's very important
both wake you up but also just have that peace and quiet in the morning without your phone.
So I really am going to try to encourage myself to do that.
Moving on to a self-love question.
What do you love most about your smile?
I love that question so much because it just is so sweet
and what do you love most about your smile.
Now onto the affirmation.
There are exciting and positive things coming to me.
I love that affirmation so much because, one, it's true.
there are very exciting and positive things coming to you and two it's the perfect way to affirm to yourself that
regardless where you are right now in your life there is going to be good things coming your way now moving on to your
challenge of the week begin by trying handcrafts like pottery stationary mail a friend of card this week i love this challenge
because i personally have been doing this where i have been painting or just doing little crafts it just brings you back to the purpose of life which is to enjoy life and just sit with
yourself so I really encourage you to do that. Now moving on to a podcast review. If you want to be
featured on next week's episode, please feel free to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts,
and of course rate over Spotify. I'm not just saying this, I'm being totally serious. It helps
the show so much. Every single week, we are in the podcast charts for education over Spotify,
and I am just so beyond grateful. We're always in the top 20, so it is so exciting. So thank you for
rating and reviewing the show.
But now on to the podcast review, this review is from Robin, and Robin said,
I've been listening to this podcast for about a year and a half now, and I am beyond obsessed.
Not only have you helped me become the best version of myself, but I have also gotten to see you and your podcast grow.
It's always so hard to believe that you're only 21 when you seem to have a lifetime of knowledge.
Thank you for everything. Love you.
Thank you so unbelievably much, Robin.
That is the sweetest review.
I'm so proud of us for growing together and just becoming the best.
best version of ourselves. Now without further ado, let's get into the episode, which I am very
excited for, because we're going to be talking about beginning your fitness journey with Pilates,
a Hot Girl walk, and feeling good about yourself. And I want a preference that this episode is
coming from someone who was not born with a passion to exercise. Sometimes I quite literally
despise exercising. Like I would choose anything over going to the gym or taking a run.
because sometimes I just hate it.
It's simple as that.
I hate it sometimes.
But I've learned to love my approach to movement
and that is what matters.
Your approach and routine to what you just like
can be the make or break to stay consistent
and actually enjoying that thing.
People either naturally just love working out
or they hate working out or maybe they feel neutral so-so about it.
But let me just say the majority of us
do not love working out because it takes a lot of physical effort.
But when it comes to you exercising, it should mean much more than just a chore that you dread, do, then check off.
You would be so surprised how much exercise improves not only your physical health, but your mental health.
Every time you exercise, you release, feel-good chemicals in your brain,
and that can improve your mental focus and reduce brain fog.
And not only that, your sleep will drastically improve.
So if you do kind of struggle at night with falling asleep or you wake up in the night,
exercising can help you exert energy during the day where you're able to feel well rested during the night.
And of course, exercise is so good for your hormones.
One reason that I really value exercise, specifically lightweight, around menopause.
Many women suffer with bone loss and are diagnosed with osteoporosis around that time,
and it's very important to do prevention before the problem when it comes to that.
but women who have walked in their daily life and did lightweight training in their early years
had a significantly reduced chance of bone loss in osteoporosis.
Sometimes we think, okay, well, when it comes to a point of being diagnosed with something
or running into a health problem, we'll just fix it then.
But why not start now and do prevention before the problem?
There is so much that you can do to prevent things from happening with your health,
both physically and mentally.
When it comes to your fitness journey, as I always say with everything, you are the only one capable of both creating the life you desire and becoming the person that you want to become.
There is not one person who's going to do your workout for you.
You can either have a month of progress or a month of excuses why you didn't.
Think about that.
You can either have a month of progress or a month of excuses why you didn't start.
You may have a physical fitness goal that you have in mind that could be,
losing weight, toning up, building muscle, feeling strong, or maybe you have no physical fitness
goal at all. Regardless if you have a goal or not, exercise can change your life. You should not just
exercise to achieve a goal. You should exercise a part of a lifestyle. Think about this. If you are so
lucky enough to be able to physically move your body, then do it. There are so many people who
are unable to walk, jump, or do Pilates or yoga due to being physically impaired, and they would do
anything to be able to live like you. So do this for you and those who cannot do what you're
fortunately able to do. You are so fortunate. You are so fortunate to be able to move your body and
feel good and exercise. So take this opportunity and do it. Do this for your future self.
Feel strong. Feel like you're able to go run a mile. Feel like you're able to go take a walk or
do Pilates. You want to feel capable of doing that. And yes, it is so hard to get started and to start,
but starting is the hardest step and from there it's going to be smooth sailing. The most common
pattern that you may have noticed when you do any type of journey, whether it's a healthy eating
journey or a workout journey, is that you may start and then go all in for a full week and
completely just stop one day. When you begin your fitness journey right now, you have to
to remove the all-or-nothing mindset. Begin to understand that a little is better than nothing.
Even 10 minutes, 15 minutes is better than doing no workout at all. First things first,
get a Pinterest board started. I want you right now or after this episode to create a fitness
journey Pinterest board. Yes, you may have some already but start a new one, start fresh right now.
We're going to just be starting fresh, a blank new sleep for a new
fitness journey. But what's going to be different from this fitness journey rather than all the other
times that you tried starting a new workout and then it didn't end up working and then all of a sudden
you quit is that we're going to be consistent and just incorporate this into our daily life rather than
this be our only life. Sometimes when we start things, we go all in and then we become so obsessed with it,
but then we forget about everything else and then we become sick of this and then want to quit it. Or we try to be
too perfect about it and then it doesn't work out. So let me just say consistency is always better than
perfection and that is what we're going to be doing with our new fitness journey. So create a pindra
board all about fitness. You can put Pilates on there, pickleball, cute workout outfits, celery juice,
things that make you excited to work out. You have to realize when you begin your fitness journey,
you're going to do so much trial and error. I'm going to list some different forms of movement for you
and regardless if you hate or love these forms of movement already,
I want you to start fresh this week and trial and air all of these
to see what works the best for you.
Even if you think that you hate it,
you may like it this time trying it new.
Some of the best and fun sorts of movement that you may enjoy is Pilates.
That could be reformer Pilates or Matt Pilates.
Then there's yoga, cardio, biking, walking, kayaking, running,
paddleboarding, weightlifting, swimming. Gosh, I'm trying to think. There's so many different forms of movement
that you don't even realize that exist. And you won't know what works best for you until you physically actually try it.
You can try all of these different types of forms of movement within a month and you can reflect on it and think to yourself,
what did you really love and what did you really hate out of all of those forms of movement? From there, you can confirm what you want to have in your daily movement routine and what you want to have in your daily movement routine and what you want to have in your.
your weekly routine for movement and what do you never ever want to do for exercise now you may be
thinking but jaden i have such a hard time getting up and actually starting let me just say we all do
you were not original there is no original experience you're having thinking that it's so hard
to get out of bed and get started babe i feel that your friend feels that every single person in this
world feels that way you will never feel ready to start you will never wake up
and just feel ready. You will never feel perfect that it's the perfect time to start. So it's the perfect
time to start now. If you have ever heard the five second rule by Mel Robbins, then you know it works,
but basically it's you count backward from five and then you'll physically force herself to get up.
So you're going to be like five, four, three, two, one. And then you're physically going to move your
body up at one and get started. So if you're laying in bed and you're thinking to your
okay I'm gonna do the five second rule so you're gonna say five four three two one and then at one
you physically get out of bed and you go put on your workout outfit to get started because by you
saying you're gonna do the five second rule you're already mentally making the decision in your head
that you're gonna start all it takes is you just getting up and getting started okay when it comes to a
workout start easy don't promise yourself you're gonna do a full hour of working out because it's gonna
to make it harder for you to actually get up. You don't need to put a time to how long you're
going to plan to work out. When you're just getting started, you can think, okay, you know,
I'm just going to get up and work out as long as I want to. Even if that's five minutes,
that's five more minutes that you did than not working out. And that's five more minutes closer
to your goals. Plan ahead for your future self by laying your cute Pilates outfit out the
night before, lay out your yoga mat and have a playlist of different podcast episodes and music
ready to play for your workout. Do your future self a favor and set yourself up for success.
And let's say you wake up one day and you realize you didn't plan ahead for your workout.
Still do your workout. You don't need everything to be perfect and plan to take action.
You could be in a t-shirt because your cute workout set is not clean and still work out.
You could be at the gym and realize that your phone is dead so you have nothing to listen to and you're still going to work out.
There should be no excuses.
Think about this.
Any time that you've skipped your workout, you've planned, you've most likely regretted it.
But when have you ever regretted working out?
I can guarantee that you have never once regretted the Pilates class you did or the walk that you took.
Do this for yourself.
Do this for your mental health.
Do this for your physical health.
happiness, for your confidence, for your future self. You need to do this for your future self and give
yourself a hug and realize that you are the only one capable of doing this for you. No one's going to do this
for you. Only you. I know I have so many business listeners in here. And I've seen some of your guys's
work. You guys are insane with your own little shop. And since I started my podcast, I know the feeling
of putting so much time to something and wanting the recognition that you deserve.
So when it comes to your own shop and selling, of course you want the recognition,
which is why I love Shopify.

at Pretty now to grow your business no matter what stage you're in. Shopify.com slash busy yet pretty.
I promise you guys will not regret using Shopify. I talked about this in the last episode, but follow a reward
system when it comes to any of your goals, especially fitness goals. I feel like are really important
to follow a reward system. So number one, you're going to set a goal.
or intention, that could be in your head thinking, okay, I am going to work out for 30 minutes today.
So number two, you're going to take action.
You're going to work out for those 30 minutes.
And then three, you're going to reward yourself.
After you took action, you're going to give yourself a reward that could be a really good breakfast,
a favorite sweet tree, go shopping, or it could be taking a break on Pinterest, any sort of reward
that makes you happy.
Make sure to reward yourself.
and I promise you that's a really great system to follow, especially when starting a routine.
When it comes to staying consistent with achieving your goals, you could even buy a planner
or a calendar to check off every single day the days that you did movement or what type of movement
you did just to make it fun and I promise you doing that every single day after working out
can make it so rewarding too. And the most important thing to keep in mind when starting your fitness
journey is don't become obsessed or as I should say over obsessed. You will most likely get on an
excited role of working out maybe for a week or even a month. But let me just say there will be a time
that will come that your life is going to become so busy, you'll miss a day of your workout or
you'll miss a few days, a few weeks, or even a few months. Number one, do not beat yourself up over it.
Okay, the point is, is to enjoy life and we're talking about how can we incorporate exercise
and working out into our daily routine.
Not our daily routine into working out.
Our life should not form all around one thing,
whether that be fitness or health.
It should not focus only around that.
Our point of life is to enjoy life, experience life.
So do not cancel a fun, exciting outing with your friends
to get your workout in.
Or don't cancel a fun brunch date with your mom
in order to go to your Pilates class.
It's okay to skip a workout.
It's okay if you aren't consistent every single day.
But consistency isn't about achieving every single day,
but it's about doing the best you can and stay consistent with that.
There are times in my life where I have missed an entire months working out.
I was busy with moving and I kid you not,
I have not stepped foot on a Pilates mat for so long.
I literally hadn't done any workouts.
But guess what?
I'm doing great.
I bounce back. You can bounce back any time.
As I always say, I am preaching for you to have the best in life.
We're driven by the search for better, but when it comes to hiring,
the best way to search for a candidate isn't to search at all.
Don't search match with Indeed.
If you ever need to hire, you need Indeed.

daily life, but don't beat yourself up the minute you miss a workout. Another thing is you don't need to
work out every single day. If you miss a week, your progress will not be, quote, down the drain.
You can always bounce back. Get yourself a new workout out for.
it said, okay, wherever that is, it doesn't need to be top-notch or expensive. Get yourself some
nice ball of bands or lightweights that you can use throughout your workouts. Get yourself some
resistance bands or a mat and start your workout. Get yourself a cute cup for your workouts wherever
you go, whether it's a hot girl walk or a little gym session. Just make sure to have your go-to
cup for your exercise. That is also really fun to always bring around to keep hydrated. And most
importantly, one of my favorite things is find yourself a friend who is also beginning their
fitness journey. I want you guys to hold each other accountable. And I promise you, it is so
fun when you actually are able to hold each other accountable. You can go to Pilates together
and it'll just make you realize that you're achieving much more when you're not only in it
for yourself, but you're in it for someone else. You're motivating each other. It feels good and you
will actually start seeing progress. Please know that you will not feel strong overnight. You will not
hit all your goals overnight. But if you stay consistent every night, you'll become the girl you've
always wanted to be. You are the only one capable of becoming the person you want to become.
And I know I say that all the time, but it is so true. And when I see you guys post on your
stories and on TikTok and you tag me and say how much your life has changed because of the
podcast, yes, I'm so glad the podcast has helped you. And that flatters me so much. And that's all I
put out these episodes for is to help you, but most of all, you're doing this for yourself.
When you take this action, yeah, of course, maybe the podcast inspired you, but you did this.
You did this so you should be proud of yourself. I love you guys so much and I hope you enjoyed
this episode as much as I did recording it. Please make sure to tag me in your Instagram stories,
your YouTube videos, your TikToks, anything that you post about the podcast on because I always
love to repose. I am so excited for your future and all that you have going on for you and all that's
going to be happening to you soon and you should be excited. I love you guys so much. Remember that
you are the only one capable of living your dream life and do not forget to stay busy yet pretty.
