Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. Oh, how I love today's
episode. I am so excited. So without further ado, let's get into today's weekly review. This week, I have just
been really enjoying the rainy day and the rainy weather. It's been so nice. I am someone who loves the rain. Everyone
hates the rain. Why? I love the rain. I feel like it just is cleansing out any bad energy in the air and
bringing in that new sunlight for the new energy.
Another thing this week is I have been trying to declutter.
Decluttering is now starting to become my middle name because I always say it, but it's true.
I feel like every single week I just am trying to find more things I don't need to have a clear, more minimal space.
And lastly this week, I have just been trying to do more self-care, which has been really nice,
because not only when you do self-care for yourself, which self-care looks different on everyone,
and there's so much different forms of self-care, but when I do self-care for myself, I just feel so much more better and happier, and my mental health is just so great when I really focus on self-care.
Moving on to current obsessions. My current obsession right now is the Goop Beauty Exfoliator. I swear my skin is so soft every single time I use it.
Another current obsession is the Four Agreements. I just started reading it, and it is amazing. I love it. I am just a just, just,
a little bookworm right now. I feel like when I was younger, I hated books because I was made to read it for school.
But now that I'm out of school and no one's telling me what to do, I began liking books now that I'm
not being forced to read them. Another current obsession right now is old Big Brother seasons.
As you guys know, I am a Big Brother fan. I love Big Brother. The only show I will ever watch is Big Brother.
So I just rewatch all the seasons. I love it. I'm a huge fan of the show.
really recommend you guys watch it if you haven't yet. And my last current obsession right now is
oatmeal. I feel like I've gotten on my oatmeal kick again. I just feel so good and I love it.
Now moving on to the goal of the week. My goal of the week is to really focus on de-stressing and
trying to balance my cortisol. As you guys know, I did a really in-depth hormonal test.
My results were not surprising whatsoever because it really just confirmed why I'm feeling
the way I do. My cortisol was definitely imbalanced.
So I really just trying to balance my cortisol and be mindful of being less stress.
Another goal of the week right now is to focus on doing lightweight workouts.
It's really good to do lightweights for your bones in the future.
So I've been really just trying to do it with my bala bands and my little ball of weights.
I love them.
The ones I use are linked over my Amazon storefront, but I love them.
And they make it fun to work out.
They're pink.
My last goal of the week is to start doing more lymphatic drainage at home.
Whenever I do a dry brush and a lymphatic drainage massage on myself, I swear, I feel so toned, so much less water weight, and I just feel so much better.
I'm definitely going to try to incorporate that more into the week.
Moving on to affirmations, I am the first pick for all opportunities meant for me.
I love this so much, and, you know, we are all affirming this to ourselves that we are the first pick for all the opportunities meant for us.
Moving on to a self-love question.
How do I mentally care for my?
myself. I love that question so much because it's so simple yet you're really able to ask yourself
and reflect on it to see what do you do to actually help yourself mentally thrive. Moving on to a
challenge of the week. Give yourself a physical hug when you begin to feel sad. I love that challenge
so much because I know it sounds kind of stupid to go give yourself a hug, but when you're alone and
you're feeling sad and you just need a hug, give yourself the hug. I do it all the time and I don't
care if it looks weird, I will give myself a hug. No one's looking at you. You're alone,
but that little hug that you give yourself could feel so much more of like a warmth and soothing
your soul. Now on to the podcast review. This review is from Maddie and Maddie said.
This podcast has helped me with so much in the past year. Relationships, school, work life, everything.
It really puts you in the positive mindset and feels like you're talking to a friend.
I love Jaden's perspective on everything. Definitely recommend to anyone.
This is my second most listened to podcast this year on my rapt.
Thank you so much, Maddie, for your sweet review.
And I'm so glad that this was on your wrapped.
To hear so many of you guys tag me in your stories and tell me that I was on your Spotify
wrapped, just made my heart so happy and I'm so beyond grateful.
I'm so proud of you.
And if you want to be featured on next week's episode, please feel free to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts.
Without further ado, let's get into today's episode, which I am so excited for.
today we're going to talk about how you can create a perfect nighttime routine if you want to have a successful morning routine it begins with your night routine it is so important to use your time wisely and not fall into the infamous form of self-sabotage which is temptation
temptation for you may be scrolling on tic-tok all night long until the sun goes up constantly ordering fast food in my eyes it's kind of like the easy way out is what i view temptation as you know how i love my nightly big
brother and TikTok scrolls, okay, you guys know that. But what's good to realize is that everything
is great in moderation. It is finally time for you to actually incorporate balance into your life
and into your routine. I assume most of you either go to school or work throughout the day,
maybe even both, maybe you do school and work, but I assume throughout the day you are occupied.
Your evenings are the time for you to recharge and refuel. Most likely your day was an energy
drainer, which is why your evenings are the perfect time to work as an energy giver. Because if you're
going to school, you're going to work, your energy is being drained. You're being very social. You're
having to put a lot of time and thought into what you're doing, what you're working on. So that's an
energy drainer. But when you get home, this is time for it to not be another energy drainer, but an energy
giver. Everybody's evening routine will look different based on their responsibilities, such as if you
have kids, if you have a significant other, a husband, whatever time you get off of work, if you live
alone, if you live with someone, our evenings are all going to look different than one another,
which is where I always say, create your routine according to your own needs and your own schedule.
Not based off of the girl that you're saying on TikTok, going to bed at 7 p.m., and you're literally
getting off at 7 p.m. With that being said, let's begin to chat about evening routine inspo. I say this
with every routine, morning, evening, afternoon, whatever it is, but your routine should always
cater to the big three, mind, body, soul. Again, this is your time to recharge and actually
refuel yourself. So it's time to recharge and refill all three of those aspects being your
mind, body, and soul. Not eating any dinner and just eating snacks from your cupboard,
watching TV and scrolling on TikTok all night long, not changing your clothes from what you wore
that day, that is not healthy, okay? That is not a healthy evening routine. Let me just say
your evenings should not look like that. On the other hand, journaling 20 pages, reading an hour,
doing a yoga class, having a huge reset every night, cooking a long extravagant dinner,
having a long self-care routine that takes three hours. Then going straight to bed is also not
necessarily healthy, okay? It should not look like either of those things. It should not be the
bare minimum and it should not be over the top. Doing the bare minimum will not leave you a happy person,
but doing the over the top will not leave you consistent. You don't want the all or nothing mindset.
Oh, I didn't have time to journal. I'm just going to not do any of my other healthy habits then because
I'm already off track. That is the all or nothing mindset, okay? You will get nowhere in life,
but stay still or get worse by having the all or nothing mindset. Rather than creating a healthy morning
routine that you're capable of maintaining and that you actually look forward to. You're a golden
class girl, pink Pilates princess, classy, whatever you want to be it girl. So cater to yourself
and believe that you deserve that. When you come home, I instantly want you to begin decompressing.
Don't sit and scroll on your phone to catch up in all that you've missed. You'll get there, okay.
First, I just want you to take a deep breath in and center yourself. If you feel like working out,
stretching or go take a walk, definitely do so. Movement is so important and something that I even
struggle with is I have the all or nothing mindset with movement. I either do a full huge workout or I don't
do any at all. Instead, I've been trying to do 15 minutes, 20 minutes into my routine and I've been
able to do so much more and be so much more consistent. So if you didn't in the morning,
incorporate some bit of movement in your evening routine. Personally, I love morning workouts, but I tend
to find myself loving afternoon workouts lately because I feel like having an afternoon stretch or
workout it's just the perfect way to smoothly transition into my evening get out your pretty pink yoga mat
your ball of bands your cute workout outfit do what makes you excited to work out and stretch use your
favorite equipment do a little movement after your little yoga your workout whatever you did
instantly begin to cue your evening routine playlist now it is time for you to take a shower whether
it's in everything shower or a quick body shower take this time to relax and allow yourself to
wind down you can even add in essential oils to your shower go exfoliate use your shower to decompress
and think about what you're grateful for this is your time to truly and really transition into your
evening post shower it is time for you to do your skincare and self-care rituals without rushing
okay take time with it to really use this time for yourself maybe quasha do a facial massage
a lymphatic drainage, moisturized, hydrate, whatever you would like.
Do it in your pretty pink bathrobe or your silk PJs or your favorite pajamas and use this time to tap into your feminine energy to care for yourself.
After you're done with your shower and self-care, it is finally time to catch up on text, emails, whatever you want.
Scroll on TikTok, go on your phone, catch up. I dedicate a good 20, 30 minutes to do that after I do my shower and my self-care routine.
And you don't need to be anti-phone, anti-blue light your entire evening because this is the time you actually have time to catch up.
Assuming you're busy all throughout the day, this is your time to actually go on your phone, catch up, answer your text, scroll on TikTok, and enjoy being on your phone.
But it just is important for you to be mindful with how much you allow yourself to scroll and the content you allow yourself to consume.
Same with TV.
I love TV.
I love my one show, but I love watching TV.
and I will watch multiple Big Brother episodes in one night,
but I'll limit myself and not watch it all throughout the night.
I'll do it before my bedtime and once all my stuff is done.
If you haven't eaten dinner yet,
it is time for you to make yourself a healthy, nutritious, and fueling dinner.
Food is medicine and what you eat actually does matter.
The 80-20 rule is my favorite rule to follow.
Eat a healthy meal that you enjoy but is also in favor of your mind and body.
And then for dessert, eat something to fuel your soul.
I love getting creative with my little dessert snacks after dinner.
I swear I look forward to it every single day.
Healthy eating does not have to be boring.
I posted a reel on my Instagram like a week ago that was all healthy meals,
but they were fun.
They were cute.
They were interesting.
And I loved them.
If you want to spice up, ways for you to eat healthier,
you can look on Pinterest, buy pretty cutlery dishes,
make it exciting, make it fun, try new recipes.
And the dividends you'll receive from eating,
healthy is truly priceless. I know I have so many business listeners in here. And I've seen some of your

Dedicate your evenings to you.
Even if you have responsibilities such as kids, a spouse,
still dedicate time to yourself with them in the room
or even include them in your routine.
There's no picture perfect evening routine.
Whatever works best for you is picture perfect.
Once you're getting in bed,
my personal favorite thing to do is fuel your mind with a book.
It can be a self-help book, a self-improvement book, a fiction book,
a fiction book, whatever you enjoy, or a podcast, maybe even busy yet pretty.
I love reading self-improvement books before bed.
They just motivate me so much for the morning ahead.
As I say, your morning routine begins with your nighttime routine.
In the show notes, I have all my favorite books linked that I've read and I'm currently
reading.
And maybe while you read your book, you want to have a little magnesium drink.
It's so easy.
I think it's called like the Hot Girl Evening Drink or something.
I don't remember.
but if you search up cherry tart magnesium drink, you'll find the recipe.
But you can make a tart cherry magnesium juice to drink while you're in bed reading your book,
and I promise you it will relax you, it make you feel so good, and ready for your night.
I love a good moktail.
I don't drink personally, so I love moktails, and they just are fun, and they taste so good.
I'm not an everyday journaler, but I am a five-minute journal girl.
If you don't like journaling, it is okay, but I promise you the five-minute journal.
journal you will actually like I am not a long journal girl I don't do that I can't and I don't
have time really which is a stupid excuse but I really don't I don't have that much time to journal
but what I do have time for is my five minute journal which I start every morning and night
I swear I never skip a day I really recommend you get a five minute journal because it just
starts your day on such a positive note and ends your day on such a positive note
lastly I want you to pray or count your blessings before bed think whatever higher power
you believe in, God, a higher power, whatever it is, we so often forget to show gratitude because
we are so caught up in thinking and showing what we want or what we want to change. But this is your
time to come to peace with your day and be grateful for your evening. Your evening is not mine.
Your evening is not your friends. Your evening is not your husband. This is your evening.
Take your time for yourself, okay? Take this time for you. Look at your beautiful day and reflect.
even if this was the hardest, toughest day that you've had, you still did it, you got through it,
and you should be proud of yourself. And I promise you there is something still that you can find
to be grateful for out of your day. There is always something to be grateful for. I love you guys
so much. I really hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it. I love, love talking
about routines. I'm a routine girl and most of all I love seeing your guys's routines.
