Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my dolls. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. This is your reminder that this year you're walking into the most successful year of your life. So far, not the most successful year because every single year is going to keep getting better and better for you. But so far, this is going to be your most successful year. I'm very excited for today's episode. So without further ado, let's get into today's weekly review. This week, I have been really trying to concentrate. follow my new routine, where I've been even trying to time block my routine so I can really follow it, and it's been so helpful and allowed me to be so much more productive than I usually
Starting point is 00:00:52 am. Another thing this week is I have been deep decluttering for the new year. It feels so nice to just let go of things that aren't serving you anymore or ones that you do not need anymore. So just decluttering my space has been so helpful. And lastly this week, I have just been really trying to take time for myself. I feel like my mornings and my evenings are one of my favorite parts of my routine and self-care. I really try to prioritize slow mornings and slow evenings, and I'm telling you, it will do such wonders. But taking time for myself has been such a game changer, especially when getting into the new year with new routines and new habits, you want to incorporate always the self-care while you're trying new activities. And,
Starting point is 00:01:40 new routines. Moving on to my current obsessions. Right now, I'm just so obsessed with warming foods. Something about the winter months and warming foods is just the best combo. Another current obsession right now for me is morning movement. I'm usually an afternoon movement girl, more because I try to put it off until the end of the day. But I realized how starting my morning off with movement is so much of a game changer rather than in the evening. It allows me just, wake up and have so much more energy throughout the day. Another current obsession right now is light-dewy makeup. I am always a light-dewy makeup girl.
Starting point is 00:02:19 Honestly, I'm never in a full glam unless it's a rare occasion. But I just love a nice, dewy look no matter the season. Another current obsession is good hair days. As you guys know, I love, love, love, love my hair routine. Because taking time on my hair just makes me feel so confident. when I have good hair days. Moving on to the goal of the week. My goal of the
Starting point is 00:03:52 week is to learn about Airbnb owning and buying property. I would love to have my own line of Airbnb's one day. So that's something I really want to learn more into and I just love the whole business aspect of it. Super interesting if you get to learn about it. Another goal of the week is slower mornings, which I definitely have been practicing this past few weeks. But more of, I really want to make sure I do not touch my phone in the morning because it does such a big difference on your stress levels when you just wake up calmly without looking at all your emails and all your notifications. And it can really just take a tool on your morning, waking up with all that stress. And my last goal of the week is to move into my new space. I am so happy.
Starting point is 00:04:39 I was approved for my new space. It's a slight little upgrade, so I'm really excited, and it's going to be so fun to have a new space, a fresh start from the new year. Moving on to the affirmation. I'm constantly attracting the right opportunities and people into my life. I love that affirmation and really affirm that to yourself. Moving on to a self-love question.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Who can you show up for today? I love that question so much because not only do we need to show up for ourselves, but sometimes it's good to show up for someone else who may be needing that at the moment, or just how can you show up and give love, energy, kindness to somebody else? Moving on to the weekly challenge. Your challenge is, if you run into a problem this week, do not run for the quick fix solution,
Starting point is 00:05:28 but instead target the root cause of what is causing this problem. I love this so much, and I really try to incorporate this into my daily life. Whenever I get a problem, I don't just try to do a quick fix, but really just figure out what is causing this problem and target the root cause. Same with my health. I think it's always better to target the root cause and to work from there. Lastly, is a podcast review.

Yes, you heard that right. How to be hot. And hint, this begins with your mindset, okay, not your appearance. Okay, don't we all want to be hot. I don't know one person in this world who does not
Starting point is 00:07:02 want to be hot. I don't. I know you don't either. Nobody wants to not be hot. We, all want to be hot, but there is one thing I do know, and that is the majority of people who want to be hot don't realize that it doesn't revolve around your physical appearance. Of course, physical appearance plays a role in being hot, but the majority of hotness will always stem from your mindset, because your mindset will determine your presence, your confidence, and how you carry yourself, and how you take care of yourself. So many people are sad and they wallow that they don't have the physical features that are currently trending on social media right now, like a BBL look or a tiny nose or a thin body, short hair, long hair, blue eyes, blonde, brunette.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Whatever it is, everything is just a trend, okay? There is not one typical beauty standard. Beauty looks different on everybody. Everyone is beautiful, okay? Think about this. Years ago, being thin was trending. All of a sudden, it's now BBL. Now, it's to be thin. Like always why are bodies trending? That's stupid. Bodies should not be a trend, okay? How you are and what you look like should not be a part of a trend. Stop listening to society, okay? Because I'm going to give you the real truth to how to be hot. This doesn't involve you going to get surgeries done to look a certain way or to not eat or to eat certain foods or to do a certain thing. No. This has to do with your mindset. And other
Starting point is 00:08:34 factors, of course. I'm not just going to tell you to change your mindset because there's other ways how to also be hot alongside your mindset. But let me just say, you and everybody else is wasting time right now that you could be living hot. When you think of someone who is, quote, hot, who do you think of? I guarantee you, whoever you're attracted to, you're attracted to their confidence in the way they hold themselves. If you want to be hot, it is time for you to stop hiding and crawling in your shell, okay? I'm not telling you to go be loud and outgoing. That's not what hot means. You can be quiet and reserved and that can be hot.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Being beautiful and feeling beautiful all stems from within. How do you view yourself? When you look in the mirror, are you kind to yourself? Or are you picking yourself apart and wishing you look like somebody else? We all have off days and that is totally okay. When we are PMSing, we just feel gross. We all have those off days where we don't feel. confident or we could have looked better that day and that's good that's normal that's all a part of being
Starting point is 00:09:41 human but what is not okay is for you every day every single time you look in the mirror every waking hour you think or say negative things about yourself that is what is not okay nothing gets better and nobody benefits from that if you're thinking if you beat yourself up it will give you the motivation and discipline to eat healthier work out more and do your makeup better you're wrong. That's temporary motivation. Self-hate will never be the answer to consistency. And yes, maybe it is time that you work out more, eat healthier, take better care of yourself, have better hygiene. But the motivation needs to stem all from self-love, not from self-hate. So giving a quick review on what we just talked about, step one, change your mindset in the way
Starting point is 00:10:29 you think and talk about yourself. You must change the way you talk about yourself and think about yourself. How do you expect for anybody else to love you if you don't even love yourself? Truly, if you think about something, if somebody's saying, I hate myself, I'm so ugly, you're going to believe they are because they keep saying that. You're more going to be attracted to somebody who says, I love myself, I'm so confident and I love who I am, you're going to be attracted to that. You and others are attracted to confidence, self-respect, and love. So when you love yourself and are attracted to yourself and actually take time to be kind to yourself, others will see how you portray yourself and become attracted to that. Now onto number two,
Starting point is 00:11:12 make a conscious effort to stand up straight, shoulders back, chin up, and do not run away and huddle in the back of the corner when you're in a group setting. This is something very easy to forget. I do myself even. It's hard to remember to stand up straight and put your chin up, but when you're around people, I don't care if it's strangers or people who you're intimidated by, I don't care who it is, do not portray yourself as insecure. Act confident, even if you have to act it, act confident. Don't look down at your phone, swiping back and forth on your phone pretending you're busy and you're too busy to talk just to avoid the social situation.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Do not take the easy way out that will bring you nowhere in life. Right now, you may be thinking of some situations where, this has happened or places that you do this in, maybe work, maybe school. Let me just tell you, these people who you were surrounded by are all people. They are just people. So stop putting people on a pedestal. You deserve to be where you are as much or more as they do. I'm sure you're familiar with imposter syndrome, which is the feeling of not feeling worthy of deserving of what you're receiving. Maybe you get into a really good school and you just have imposter syndrome. because you don't feel like you actually deserve it or it's actually supposed to be meant for you.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Or maybe you're at a high school party or a college party and you feel like everybody surrounding you is so much better than you. So you have imposter syndrome. Like, am I actually deserving to be here? Was I actually supposed to be invited to this party? That right there is self-doubt and self-sabotage. You are putting something and someone else on a pedestal. Stop putting people. and opportunities on a pedestal.
Starting point is 00:13:02 In order to grow, you must allow yourself to be uncomfortable. The more and more you do something that you're scared to do, you will be a bit more comfortable the next time. Of course, that's easier said than done, but I promise you, if you just do something once, it will be one step easier the next time. In order for you to become hot, you must feel comfortable in your own skin,
Starting point is 00:13:24 let alone comfortable, but own it. Own who you are. own your body, own your facial features, own your personality, be your own Barbie doll. Nobody knows when you're nervous or insecure unless you show them. So when you're in a public setting or when you are speaking to somebody, be consciously holding yourself with confidence and allow yourself to be uncomfortable. So to summarize step number two, hold yourself with confidence and be okay being uncomfortable. Even if that requires you to act confident, do it. Betray yourself as the person that you want to be.
Starting point is 00:14:00 There's many things that you can compromise with in life. Maybe that's with shopping and you didn't get the price that you wanted. But something that should never, ever be compromised is your health. As you guys know, I am a health advocate for many different reasons. One, because I've been struggling with potentially having PCOS this past year. And as a wellness and self-care advocate, I'm just someone who always preaches self-care, taking time for yourself, and that means getting the right care. care you need when it comes to health because your health should not be compromised.

Invest in yourself. Take time for yourself.
Starting point is 00:15:37 You are your own project. The more effort you give, the more outcome you'll get. A good example is, if you neglected an animal, they would be sad, they would be unhealthy, they would be unhappy and unkept, common knowledge. You would never neglect an animal. So why are you neglecting yourself? Why are you neglecting the person who is capable of living the life that you dream of?
Starting point is 00:16:00 Why are you actively trying to tear yourself down when you could spend time building yourself up? You are your own empire and you're capable of becoming the woman you've always dreamed of becoming. As for investing in yourself, this is both mentally and physically. Stop putting yourself last and making excuses to not take time for yourself. You should have no reason to not spend at least five minutes on yourself a day, Whether that is a skincare routine, meditating, getting a pedicure, or getting Botox, I literally don't care what it is. I don't care what self-investment looks like for you, but whatever self-care looks like to you, cater to your needs and pamper yourself to make you feel special. Do your skincare. Put lingerie on and dance around your room. Work out. Do Pilates. Buy, thrift a new wardrobe. Get a facial. Do whatever is going to boost your confidence and make you feel your best. I swear if you begin to change the way you think about yourself, hold yourself with confidence, and invest in yourself, you will become confident, feel sexy, and become the woman you've dreamed to be.
Starting point is 00:17:07 You are hot, and you don't even realize it, because you've been so busy picking yourself apart. This is your time to be hot. Whatever age you are, gender, income status, if you have an illness, a sickness, have had a hard life, or mentally struggling, Anyone and everyone can become hot. Stop putting yourself last. Get up, change your mindset, do a face mask, have an everything shower. Go right now and take yourself on a date because you are hot.
