Hello, my love. Welcome back to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jane Haley. If you are new here, welcome. This is a community and safe space to talk about all things, wellness, self-love, and ultimately becoming the best version of you. I'm so excited to record today's episode and just motivate you guys. And this can be an episode that you refer back to in the future if you ever need some boost of motivation. It's honestly the perfect morning episode when you're working out on the treadmill,
making a walk to really give you a boost motivation for the day.
Without further ado, let's get into today's weekly review.
So guys, this week, it has been so chilly.
Who else is getting the chilly weather?
Because I know it's not just me.
I'm ready for the summer.
I know I just put out a summer episode last episode.
And I was really channeling the summer and don't get me wrong, I am.
But if you live in L.A. or SoCal, you know that the weather has not been very summer
friendly yet. Another thing this week is I have been really trying to stay consistent with my new
routines. I've been having my new morning and night routine and just my daily routine of how I work
and I have been so much more productive. And the last thing this week is I have been loving,
living with balance. Of course, it's very important for us to live with balance all of our life
all throughout the day no matter what, but sometimes you just got to reground yourself and
remember that balance is key and it's so important to take care of our personal self to be able to
perform best for our career and success and goals. Now on to my current obsessions. My current
obsessions of the week are getting dressed up to go nowhere. I honestly have just been loving getting
dressed up for myself. Who else loves that because I know I'm not the only one. I love to get
dressed, feel gorgeous, feel classy and elegant. But for who? For me? For me? For
no one else but myself and sometimes nowhere to go but you know what sometimes just getting dressed up
for ourself to see in the mirror is all we need another current obsession right now is posting over
youtube i have been loving to post over youtube i have a ton of new drafts all lined up to post
and i'm really liking getting back into youtube i feel like it's a space where it's making a comeback
and long-form content's making a comeback another current obsession for me right now
is my vanity setup. I fully reorganize my vanity and let me just say it is so much more
cleaner and prettier. Like I always say, you need to have a clean desk space and a clean
environment to work in in order to be successful in your job and your work and overall your
productivity. So if you haven't yet, this is your sign to clean your desk today and just
straighten up to be able to work in a healthy environment. My last goal of the week is Sex and the
city. I am amazed, like, where has this show gone all my life? I feel like there's so many
great shows out there. And honestly, I realized for me the past few years, I hadn't watched
any TV or any movies. And just being able to take that time for myself is really nice,
very soul-feeding. And I really encourage you to just take some relaxing time for yourself,
even if that means looking at a screen. Okay, also, who else saw that the Victoria's Secret Ren
is making a comeback. I am so beyond excited. I mean, the OG runway was definitely in 2013,
2014, but it's okay. I'm going to still love the runway this year. But I feel like quite a bit
of you listeners also love Victoria's Secret. So I feel like we are all excited for it and are
ready to have a watch party. Now moving on to the goal of the week. My goal of the week right now is
to make my own nut milk at home. I feel like it's really good to make your own nut milk.
milk and I truly believe the more you make from scratch the healthier it is. So I'd personally
love to try making my own nut milk at home and also I want to try dairy again. I cut out dairy
for a while for my skin and honestly I tried it a little bit again and honestly my skin's not
breaking out too bad. I believe trial and error is so essential and everybody's body and
reactions are different which is why it's so important not to compare yourself to anybody
else. And my last goal of the week right now is to have new flowers every week in my place.
I feel like it just is so cozy and feel so nice and alive when you have plants and flowers
in your home. So if you have none right now in your home, go buy some today because I promise
you it will just change the mood of your environment. Moving on to a self-love question.
How do you check up on your mental health? I love that question so much and it's really good to
sit down and ask yourself that question. Now onto the affirmation. I am proud of who I am and how I live my
life. I love that affirmation so much because we can get in such a toxic cycle of you bullying yourself and just
trying to constantly critique yourself and it's really good to just remember and affirm to yourself that
you're proud of who you are and are proud of how you live your life. Now on to your challenge of the
week. Reach out to someone that you feel speak to and ask how they're doing.
I love that so much because sometimes we just have an acquaintance or an old friend that we haven't talked to for a while and just taking the time and effort to reach out and ask how they're doing can significantly improve their day and also maybe start a new friendship.

Okay, my loves, let's get into a very big boost of motivation that you're going to have today.
If you're listening to this episode when the episode comes out, it's been winter.
and we're almost out of a spring going into summer.
Yet, I swear, we are somehow stuck in a slump from the winter.
And, you know, we have those poor winter habits that we kind of stuck onto.
But it's time for us to finally move on, get into summer, and actually feel good about ourselves.
It's time that you wake up and get to work on the life that you deserve.
So many of us.
So many of us, that includes you, that includes me, that includes everyone you know.
So many of us waste time over consuming than actually creating.
Of course, it's great to be a consumer, but it's even more great to be a creator.
Spend time more creating than consuming.
But again, we are all guilty of this and we love a good TikTok scroll and it's good to be
able to allow yourself to relax and have a little TikTok scroll.
But right now, it's actually time for you to live your life and to begin to take action on the
life that you desire. We tend to think that we have so much time in the world for us to finally begin
working hard and most likely we do have a lot of time. But what if for some reason your time was
God forbid cut short? I know it's hard to think about but really you have to remember that you have
to start living every single day like it's your last day. Or let's say even if you really did have
all the time in the world, what if you never even started? We often just push our dreams and goals and
desires off and the entire life in person that we want to become because we think that time is
endless and we'll get to it one day. But many of us lose that dream and it never happens. What if you
just start now? Stop caring what people think. Stop caring what if it doesn't work out and just start
doing, creating and living. Life in the universe is on your side and not against you. So many of us think
why did this happen to me? But you have to change the way you view situations and things that
happen to you. Things don't happen to you. They happen for you. Why did this negative thing
happen to me? Or instead, why did this negative thing happen for me? It happened for you to learn a lesson.
When you finally realize that you cause the majority of your own suffering and are the one who
creates the path to your future, it is a weight off your chest because you finally realize that you
are fully in control. This is towards the actions that you taking your life, as well as the unavoidable
actions that happen to you. This is in no way, shape, or form to excuse past traumatic experiences.
Many of us have experienced very traumatic or horrible things that have happened to us that we are
still healing from or don't feel healed from at all. But by saying you cause your own suffering,
when it comes to the case of something that happened to you, you have to realize, you have to realize,
that it's in your hands how you view the experience that happened to you. Even if there's no good
that came out of that experience, at least it made you stronger of a person. And becoming a
stronger person is a positive. When it comes to being productive throughout the day with school,
your career, work, anything. With every single thing in life, there are most definitely tasks
that you need to get done and every single person has a to-do list. Let's say that you don't
actually have that many to-does during the day, but you have a goal in mind that you want to get to,
no matter what it is, a to-do list or a goal, the common denominator is that they are all steps
involved to achieve or to get those things done. My personal favorite quote is that you can either
have a month of progress or a month of excuses why you didn't. There is always a time in your life,
even if you don't feel there is, but there's always a time in your life throughout your day,
your week or your month that you can use to work towards getting things done.
Same with your goals.
There's always time in your day, your month, or your week to work towards achieving your goal.
So there's always time throughout the day and don't use that as an excuse because even if it's
two minutes of your day, five minutes of your day, it's how you use your time that matters.
Please wake up and realize you are the only one capable of creating your dream life and no one cares
about you like you care about yourself. Time is precious and we don't want to spend it procrastinating
or having our to-do list or homework just clouding over the back of our head. We want to simply enjoy
life and live the life that we desire. When you're thrown a task, get it done. Get it done ASAP
rather than putting it off, sitting on it and suffering on it. Get that roadblock out of the way
and complete it. You need to start shifting your mindset in the morning. Wake up in the morning and start
your day off on a positive note. It is so easy to wake up with anxiety. Trust me, I'm someone who does.
But then waking up with anxiety and then thinking of all the things you have to do right away when you
wake up only causes more anxiety. But rather you waking up, breathing, counting your blessings,
taking some time to journal, go on a walk or stretch, whatever you can fit into your morning
schedule before work or school or your kids wake up. Every single minute that you have free is so
valuable so use that time to care for yourself and cater to your needs i can't be the only one who has this
like dream item of theirs that they always see whether it's a bag a sweater a top and you're like i just
need that but it's like sold out everywhere that's me with this one vintage duneian burke bag

You have to replenish your mind, body, and soul in order to have success in other aspects of your life.
And those other aspects being career, school, relationships, goals, anything.
I'm someone who has a desire to work hard.
And I know many of you do.
And maybe some of you don't.
and some of you guys have to have that extra little push for motivation.
But regardless, if you were someone who is born a hard worker or born needing a little extra push,
if you're entering that quote, work hard mindset, it is essential that you understand that consistency
will always win over perfection.
A little is better than none.
Even you working on a minimal, minimal step towards your big goals, that is still progress.
Every little step and every little ounce of every single,
that you put in adds up. And the same goes for your well-being. When I say wake up and get to work,
work doesn't necessarily just mean your task and homework. Work also includes your morning routines,
self-care, yoga, eating healthy. You need to start taking care of yourself and stop neglecting
your needs. This is your life. Do you want to live happy or do you want to live always trying to
be somebody else unhappy with yourself, hating yourself, hating your life, hating your life,
life because trust me, it is easy to find and pick apart things you don't like about yourself.
But stop wasting time and shift your mindset.
Start loving yourself, loving your life, love your life into having your own dream life.
And what I mean by that is so many of us are just trying to compare ourselves or, you know,
have our mindset on a goal that we want so bad, which is good.
But there's a point where your goal needs to become your reality and stop and not just be a goal.
We can always just put something on a pedestal of it as a goal,
but there's a point in our life that we actually need to not have that be just a goal anymore,
but make that our life.
And that time for you is right now.
Start living your life the same way you would if you already achieve the goals you have lined up,
and you already are the person that you desire to become,
and you're already having your dream life.
Believe you have what you want, take action, and you will receive it,
and it will become your reality.
Going back to consistency over perfection, it is so important that you realize that because
things will never be perfect.
Every single time you work on something, it will never always end up perfect.
And if you always strive for perfection, you'll never become the person you desire.
You'll never achieve your goals or live your dream life.
It's as simple as that.
I put off my podcast for a while in the very beginning because I was scared that it wasn't
perfect. And you know what I said to myself because I've heard it before and I've seen other people
do it? Launch fast, perfect later. Imagine if I just continued to put off my podcast and never started.
I would just trying to make it perfect, trying to have it exactly how I wanted it, then there would be
no you listening to this episode. There would be no busy yet pretty community. There would be
none of this. Instead, I started and I perfected as I went. Start now and perfect later. Your future
self will thank you for that because you're going to learn things by first-hand experiences
that are more valuable than any other thing and way more valuable than just pushing it off
and waiting for it to be quote perfect. Do you think your favorite actor was perfect right
off the bat? No. If you go look at their very first audition tapes, they would cringe at them.
They would think, oh my gosh, I was such a newbie. I was horrible at this. That's what every single
successful person thinks looking at their first line of work. You can't expect for yourself to be
perfect, especially at the first time of doing something. But what is perfect is consistency and
progress. And let's say that you get on this mindset of work hard, take action,
Becoming your dream life and your dream person, that's great, but you need to realize that you also need to start taking care of yourself and continue to maintain a healthy relationship with how you care for yourself in order to perform your best.
Because if you get on this quote hard work journey, you're going to easily burn out.
Every single person burns out. I have burnt out. Everyone burns out.
but the thing is you realize that burnout is caused by not caring for your personal needs.
Prevention before the problem.
That goes for everything in life.
But prevention before the problem translate to self-care before burnout.
So if you actually want to maintain a great career and great success in your life,
you have to maintain great success and your own self-care and personal needs.
Now let's be real.
You need to begin eating healthier.
nutritious foods and start working out. And I don't want to hear you don't have time because even
10 minutes or 15 minutes a day will do wonders. I'm someone who has a very crunched schedule and don't
have a lot of time to work out. But when I do, I feel so much better, which is why even 10 to 15
minutes a day makes such a huge difference. I want to share a few quotes with you guys to me that
are very, very motivating and can help motivate you on your journey ahead.
The first one is, it does not matter how slowly you go as long as you don't stop.
That is so important because, again, consistency over perfection.
If you try to aim for perfection, you're going to burn out.
Another quote I love is, every day is a chance to change your life.
It is so true.
Every single waking day is a chance for you to change your life.
There really is no excuse.
Even if you can't do anything physically taking action yet, what you can do is take action mentally
with how you talk to yourself, how you view things, and how you view your life.
Another quote I love is, life is a mirror of consistent thoughts.
That is also very true because if you are constantly saying, I hate this, I hate her, I hate that,
I get so much homework, I hate that work is so hard.
Let me just say, life is going to give you a lot more things to hate on them.
If you want to attract good things in your life, you have to seek the good and positive in life.
Point it out, even if you feel like there's no good in your life, make it up.
Be grateful and think of the positive, even if you don't have it yet, but things that you want in your life, think of them.
Because it's true that life is a mirror of consistent thoughts.
Another quote that I think is really important is, everything you can imagine is real.
It's already yours.
Just go and get it.
I love that so much because it is true. It is already yours. Go get what you want. Your dream that you have in your mind and your manifestations are meant for you. Let's say you try. It doesn't work out. Guess what? There's something better for you out there. The universe is on your side and you have to realize that. Think about this. How beautiful that this is your life. This is your life. It's nobody else's life. This is yours.
So begin using it wisely.
Get off your booty, go clean your room, take your everything shower, start working out, start
eating healthier, and become the person that you want to become.
Nobody else is going to do this for you.
You were the only one capable of creating the life that you want and becoming the person that you desire.
You should get the most out of your life and complaining about every single thing in your sight,
complaining what you don't like about yourself in the mirror,
and sitting on your goals and not taking action is the worst thing that you can do for yourself
and you're literally wasting so much time that you could be enjoying your life and living the life
that you deserve. Live the life that you want to live. Consume less and create more. Nobody is going to do
this for you but you. I love you guys so much and I hope you enjoyed this episode to get a little
