Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my love. Welcome to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. If you're new here, welcome. We talk all about how to become the best version of you and ultimately just enjoy your routines, your days because that's what life's all about. Why live a boring life that feels repetitive? And even if your life is hard or even things are not exactly where you want to be, there are things that you can do to make your life a little bit better and a little more exciting. So that's what we do on the podcast. But I'm very excited about today's episode because today we're talking about what. What does being rich mean to you? We're going to be rewriting the definition and just creating a new perspective on the word rich and what we think rich really means because honestly, I think we can all think of what the word rich means. Obviously, we're going to think of wealth and we're going to think of things that like bags, cars. We're going to think of that as being rich. But what else does rich really mean?
Starting point is 00:01:02 So we're going to talk all about what being rich means to you. But before we get started with that, let's do our weekly review. This week, I have been really just feeling locked. in with my career and personal goals, which is really nice. I feel like I finally have exited any slump that I felt in the winter. We were out of the winter blues. We're out of the winter slump and we're just locking in for spring. And remember, locking in doesn't mean that we're like necessarily on our 100% grind with working out or eating healthy or just even getting things done. Rest is productive, doing things that are slower and just like hobbies. Those are all productive. So that is
Starting point is 00:01:35 my version of locking in, having both that productiveness as well as being productive and my personal life. Another thing this week is I have been just enjoying the spring weather. I feel like it's been also a little rainy, which I do not mind. I love a good rain, but it's also been a little warmer, so that's been nice. I'm going to start a garden soon, so I'm very excited about that. And lastly, this week is I have been focused on building consistency in my daily life. I am someone who always preaches consistency over perfection, but especially right now where we're going to have some off days, especially with the summer coming up. And we have to realize that there's going to be off days, but we can't just forget all of our progress when an off day occurs.
Starting point is 00:02:13 It's important to remember consistency is what builds the success that we need. It's the little habits of our days that add up. So consistency over perfection. Now and two, my current obsessions of the week. My current obsession right now is yoga and low impact workouts. This is my first week. I feel like I've really been consistent with yoga. And I cannot tell you the difference it has made already on my mental health, my physical health.
Starting point is 00:02:38 I just feel like it has made me so much more relaxed and has made me look forward to it. Like I really look forward to yoga and just stretching. So I have been absolutely loving that. Another thing for my current obsessions is a matcha with cookie crumbs on top. Okay, I got a few messages on this. But as you guys know, I'm trying to eat low sugar right now and really follow the protocol that my doctor's assigned me to have for my stomach since I have so many stomach issues. But I can't lie.
Starting point is 00:03:07 I love a good snack and I love a good little sweet. So I'm just, you know, treating myself accordingly. And then once my stomach is healed, I'll be able to kind of just eat regularly again. But something I have been loving for a little like sweet treat is having just like little cookies crumbled on top of my matcha. It just tastes so good and divine. Another thing that is my current obsession is my green Brandy Melville, 100% cotton set. It literally is like the green matcha color as a like a cute little.
Starting point is 00:03:37 set. I love a yoga pant. I love a little top and it just is my favorite set to wear around. Now and to my goal of the week, my goal of the week at the moment is to schedule less on my to do list to avoid overwhelming myself. Something I learned from therapy recently, which I think is so helpful, is instead of even picking, well, I personally like picking like three things to do in the day that are my main priorities and then having a separate list of things I can go back to if I finish those things. But something I think is really helpful that I learned was to just mark down for your daily task, all your time sensitive things. So things that are due that day, write it down. But if it's not seriously due that day, but something that you do need done,
Starting point is 00:04:17 but it's not time sensitive, put it on a separate list. So you can finish all your time sensitive things and just get back to the other things once you finish those time sensitive task. To another goal of the week, it is right now to start my five-minute journal again. I used to be so consistent and have gone through so many books of my five-minute journal, but I'm really just looking forward to getting back on it because it was something I look forward to every single morning and evening. And another goal of the week right now is to cook more at home instead of ordering takeout. Forgive a girl for loving a sweet green kid meal. Like I literally love the sweet green kids meal.
Starting point is 00:04:51 It is my favorite or just a regular sweet green bowl. But I just love sweet green right now and I need to stop ordering out so much. But it just has been my favorite easy, quick meal to get that's healthy and just fulfilling. but I am looking forward to actually just shopping, a farmer's market, getting some nice produce and things I haven't really cooked before, and start cooking more at home. Now on to your affirmation of the week. I am rich in every aspect of my life. I love that affirmation so much and it's so important to affirm that to yourself.
Starting point is 00:05:21 Now for yourself of question of the week, how do I define being rich? I love that so much because it is very important we ask ourselves that, especially before we get into today's episode, for us to be able to compare it. in contrast, how we feel from the beginning of this episode to what we think of being rich means at the end of this episode. Now to the podcast review. If you want to be featured on next week's episode, make sure to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts and leave a rating over Spotify. This review says, this is my first podcast I've ever listened to and it was really refreshing and motivating. Love it. I absolutely love that review and I'm so grateful you're here and listening
Starting point is 00:05:58 and I'm just so grateful for you. I can't be the only one who has this like dream. item of theirs that they always see whether it's a bag, a sweater, a top, and you're like, I just need that, but it's like sold out everywhere. That's me with this one vintage, Duny and Birk bag. I literally was looking everywhere for it and I somehow found one on a Poshmark. But not just one. I found multiple of them at such a good price and I was like, wait, this is just too good to be true. So if you know me, you know I am a Poshmark girl. Poshmark is a marketplace where you can list and sell as well as buy new items, vintage, pieces gently used, luxury pieces, they really just have it all. And I feel like there's no better time
Starting point is 00:06:43 to go on Poshmark now. Everyone's cleaning out their closet and listing good things. Get in bed, get cozy, and go in Pashmark to add to your new spring wardrobe. New deals and sales are listed every day, so don't wait. Download the Poshmark app and use code busy when you sign up to get $10 off your first purchase or shop now at Poshmark.com slash busy and get $10 off your first purchase. That's P-O-S-H-M-A-R-K-com slash busy. So with that being said, let's get into today's episode. As I said, today's episode is on the definition of rich. What does being rich mean to you? And we're going to be rewriting the definition of rich and creating a new perspective. When it comes to being rich, being rich goes far beyond money, far, far, far beyond money. But like I said earlier, we often think, and you know, it's classic,
Starting point is 00:07:34 we're going to think about money when we think of the word rich. Your definition of richness shapes your daily happiness and mindset. It really does because if you're someone who thinks, okay, I'll be happy when I'm rich. Okay. And let's say your version of rich is wealth, then let's say you never get wealth. Let's say you never get it. Are you just going to be unhappy your whole life? Or what is your definition of rich? Because I can tell you some of the most wealthiest people are the happiest, but also some of the wealthiest people are the unhappiest. Same with some of the poorest people are the most unhappiest, but some of the most poorest people are the happiest people you will ever meet. Because it all factors down to how that
Starting point is 00:08:13 person defines and looks at the meaning of being rich. You can intentionally redefine what wealth means in your life. And again, wealth doesn't even mean money. Rich, wealth, all those things are just abundance. What does abundance look like to you? So let's talk about where your definition of rich even came from. Most beliefs about, quote, rich came from social media, upbringing and comparison. Obviously, if we're going to see something on social media, see someone doing like a, let's say, a Birkenbag hall, obviously you're going to say, oh, they're rich. Yeah, they're rich. Or someone got a new car, like one of your friends got a new car and they constantly are getting new things. Maybe you'll think that's rich. But often we just see it as how we were raised,
Starting point is 00:08:58 what our parents told us. Maybe your parents are. like, oh yeah, they're a pretty rich family or this is pretty rich that they have all of this. So we're often taught richness equals money, luxury, and status. But it's time you question whether this definition is actually yours or something that you absorbed. Because I know when I grew up, like, obviously, everybody, 99% of people are going to use the word rich as meaning money. So my parents would say, oh, yeah, that's like something like a rich person would do or like, you know, someone would say the reference the word rich, even on social media, friends, whoever, people are going to reference that word majority of the time talking about money. So you automatically
Starting point is 00:09:40 just think of money when you think of the word rich. But is that the definition that you absorbed from other people or is that the definition that you put in yourself? Because let's talk about emotional richness. Rich looks different on everything, but not even money. It's not money. Money is a factor of abundance, which can lead to being rich. But, But being rich doesn't mean you have a lot of money. So like I said, let's talk about emotional richness. So that could be feeling safe, calm, and mentally at ease. That all can feel rich. Like having safety, that's rich. Having peace in your daily life is a form of wealth. Having less stress can feel more valuable than having more money. Like, don't get me wrong. I love, like,
Starting point is 00:10:25 I have a lot of money goals and a lot of financial goals. And I think we all should. I think we all should have a like financial goal of things that we want to work towards because a lot of time, let's be honest, financial things are what gets us to where we want to go. Like, of course, I want to have a big, beautiful house and I want more time on my hands and stuff. But a lot of times, those things are brought from money. Like, I'm going to be honest and transparent because I'm not going to be one of the people that come online and be like, you know, you know, if you want to be rich, then just don't work. Go enjoy it and live your life. Okay, how are you going to make it? Like, let's be real. Like, I love myself a relaxing day. People love themselves a relaxing day,
Starting point is 00:11:06 but I'm going to be honest with you. I'm not going to tell you, oh, go travel the world and go do that. That's being rich. Yeah, that's being rich. But honestly, we need financial wealth to get us to where we want to be. Many opportunities and many lifestyles. come from financial safety. So I have to just put that out there because I, not that I don't like when people come online and say this, but I don't like when people come online and are like, oh, just go live your life. Like don't work. Well, let's not fall into work culture. But yeah, we also have to make a living. We have to get groceries. We have to support herself. We have to have an apartment. We have to live. So I'm also not going to say it to you that way because that's
Starting point is 00:11:43 not reality. We don't live in La La Land. Like we have to support herself. But again, it's about having balance in our life and we can be rich in all different aspects of our life when balance is involved. So like I said, one of my main things of goals is a lot of like financial goals. I just have a lot and then I know a lot of you, you have a lot of financial goals. We all have financial goals. But as I, you know, like as I became a teenager and then started working and then, you know, I started making my own money and then to wear all up all from now, it's like, okay, I know it's like, to make money. I've been making money for a while and I've made I make more and more money every year. But in the grand scheme of things, my time also runs out more and more, the more I make money.
Starting point is 00:12:30 So I think after I've made money throughout the past few years and I've kept making more money. Every year my income has gone up at the same time. I'm like, you know, my time is also gone. So I have really redefined my own personal goals from what I think wealth and what richness looks like. because a lot of my goals would always just land in achievements and most of all achievements under financial amounts, how much I make. And now my goals are like my end goal, like things I really want for like my end goal, what I define as rich, is time. Like time is so you can't buy time. So there's things where I'm like, okay, sometimes it means giving up some things where you would have made money from or giving up some things where, you know, maybe I would have gotten a higher
Starting point is 00:13:17 paycheck or a higher amount, but it also would have cost me so much more time. So really try, that's something I've done is really trying to outweigh the pros and cons. Is it worth my time? Even though it will make me more money, I can't be a yes woman. I can't say yes to everything. And also I don't want to say yes to everything. I also need a personal life. We all do. So we also have to think of it in the way of, okay, we of course have to make money and we have to make enough to support the lifestyle we want. But at the same time, we want a certain. and lifestyle. What if we worked all of our life when we were young to think, okay, I'm going to work really hard and have no personal life. So when I'm older, I can then enjoy my life and not have to
Starting point is 00:13:57 work at all. But God forbid, what if you didn't make it to that age? Like, I think about that. And I'm like, okay, of course, I don't want to think about death and I don't want to think about those unfortunate things. But at the same time, I'm like, why force myself to disrupt my nervous system and make myself so stressed under pressure just to think, okay, and when I'm older, then I don't have to work at all. No, you have to enjoy the process and the journey. So you have to sometimes take a step back and think, okay, I know this will make me money, but also will it bog me down more than I can take? I need you to remember that less stress can feel more valuable than money. It really can. You can be the poorest person and be the happiest person and you can be the richest person and be the
Starting point is 00:14:41 most unhappiest person. And half of that comes from perspective and half of that comes from the boundaries you set. So let's talk about time richness and money richness. Having control of your time is a form of wealth. The freedom to rest, the freedom to slow down and to choose your schedule, that all that is a freedom and an abundance of time. Remember, like a full calendar doesn't always equal a full life. It doesn't because sometimes we are also thinking, okay, I have my, I let's say you have control of your own schedule. So you're like, I'm going to book as much as I can to live as much life as I want. But it's okay if a majority of the days of the week, you're just staying home and resting because there's times where you need to rest. You need to stay at home. We don't always
Starting point is 00:15:25 need to be go, go, go. That doesn't also mean that we're being rich in time in our life if we're always on the move. Of course, it may look productive on paper as if we're doing a lot of things, going to tennis practice, going and traveling, seeing our friends, all those things. Yes, those are nice experiences, but it's okay to also have time where you're not doing as much stuff. Being home and enjoying your home, enjoying your room. That's what a room and a home is for, is to enjoy it and live in it. If you are constantly on the go, you're not living at your home. You're spending the night there, you're getting up and living the same day on repeat
Starting point is 00:15:58 and having a full book schedule and being stressed out. It's okay if you don't have a full schedule because a full calendar doesn't always equal a full life. Now when it comes to relationship and experience wealth, like I said, relationships and experiences, those are all things that are wealth. They're all things that make you rich in life. So one of the things could be feeling supported and connected in your relationships that can be with your friends, your family, your significant other, feeling connected, feeling loved, that is abundance, that is rich.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Sometimes we're overlooking the things right in front of us that are truly what it means to be rich in life and have abundance. Another thing, quality time, meaningful experience over material accumulation. Yes, I love to shop. Yes, I'm a maximalist. And yes, we all love to get, you know, treat ourselves, go shopping and collect things. But at the same time, quality time means more than material objects. One of the things I wanted for my birthday, I even told my mom, I'm like, mom, I could care less.
Starting point is 00:17:01 I don't want anything for my birthday. All I want to do is just go to like a hotel and go stay. together have a little girl's day, that's all I want for my birthday. Of course, ask for things you want, and I still have things I want for my birthday and like things that I want and like things on my list of things when it's like Christmas and my birthday. But I'm also saying, there's sometimes you may realize, you know, instead of even wanting a gift for something, you want an experience with that person. Same if you're having a solo date with yourself. It's easy to think, okay, let me go take myself shopping. That'll be fun for me. But maybe you'll even have a better experience going outside, touching grass,
Starting point is 00:17:35 grounding, reading a book, all that is free, by the way. You don't even have to spend money versus you are at the store. I'm not saying don't go to the store, don't treat yourself, but at the same time I'm saying, there's things that you could do that are experiences and living that mean so much more than even materialistic things. Another thing in your relationship and experiences that I think is so wealthy is feeling seen and understood by people in your life. That is so unbelievably wealth. That is being so rich. If someone understands, you and someone listens to you, that is something that many people can't have. They just don't have that in their life. So think how rich you are if you do have that person that you can talk to.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Maybe you're not rich in that aspect of your life. Think of what other areas am I rich in that aspect? Maybe somebody is helping provide for you financially. Even though that's a financial safety and stuff, they're giving that richness of abundance and giving you that safety to you. Another thing when it comes to lifestyle richness, small daily luxuries. We all have them, okay? It doesn't have to be big shopping sprees, like I said. It doesn't have to be big things. It can be the small little things in life that we romanticize that are small little luxuries.
Starting point is 00:18:48 That could be your daily coffee, skincare, your daily routine waking up in the morning, getting some sun, feeling like your morning is aesthetic or just doing a face mask. All those little small daily luxuries are rich and warm. wealthy. Another one is a basic and a classic, but it's so true when we look past it, it's almost like when we think ourselves, like if we think, okay, what am I grateful for? One of the most classic things we say is, oh, I'm grateful for a roof over my head. But honestly, living in an environment that feels aligned and calming to you that could be a lifestyle richness. Like, one of my richness in lives is that I know when I come into my bed, my cat's there and I feel relaxed. Like, that is a richness to me. And again, that has nothing.
Starting point is 00:19:32 nothing to do with money. It doesn't. And we think of the word rich. We think of our favorite influencers or celebrities or people we know that have a lot of money. But again, they're just rich in a financial aspect. Okay. But they also may not be rich in the aspects that you're rich in. And let's be honest, the ones you're rich in, like possibly having a supportive family or something that's abundance in your life, like maybe a lot of love in your life, maybe they don't have that. And guess what? The ones you have are priceless. You can't put a price tag to it. So how lucky are you that you have things that you are rich in in life that are priceless? Let's talk about internal richness. So confidence and self-trust are internal richness. So if you have confidence in yourself, if you trust yourself and you know,
Starting point is 00:20:17 okay, I trust me. Like I am my own advocate. I love myself. I know who I am. That is internal richness. So lucky to have that because many people don't. Another one is feeling grounded in who you are. without comparison. Many times we compare yourself or we think, oh, I wish I had that life. I wish I had that face. I wish I had that body. I wish I had that lifestyle. Anything. You can think anything. But feeling grounded in who you are without having to compare, that is a richness because many of us jump to comparing ourselves or wanting more than what we have. So just feeling grounded, loving who you are. Instant richness. Another one is emotional stability and self-respect. if you have self-respect for yourself, be your own advocate and know who you are, kind of like what I said in the first one,
Starting point is 00:21:03 but having respect for yourself knowing if this person is not serving me right and this person is being a disgrace and disrespectful to who I am, I will leave them. I will not stay in that friendship. I will not stay in that relationship. I will not support that and I will not stand for that because I know myself, I love myself. Instant wealth. Wealth that could never be bought. It literally could never be bought. So think about if you have that, you are instantly so rich in the self-respect for yourself. So now that we've gone over kind of like what richness means in different aspects in life, let's talk about how you can feel more rich that are just practical shifts in perspective and daily life habits. And I honestly feel like are things that you can just incorporate into
Starting point is 00:21:48 your routine. First step is slowing down and noticing what already feels good in your life. we're always usually jumping to the next thing or wanting more. It's human nature. Like we wake up and think we want something. Like I do it myself. We all do it. We all want something. And I have my wants.
Starting point is 00:22:06 And it's good to have your wants because in order to have to know what you want in order to get closer to those things. And that's where setting goals come and intention comes and taking action. But at the same time, while you're on that journey to getting the things that you want, you also have to slow down and notice what you already have. and those things you already have, acknowledge them, be grateful, and understand you are rich in those aspects. Another one is romanticizing simple daily movements instead of waiting for big upgrades. It is so easy for us to just wait until we have a big overnight success or an overnight reset
Starting point is 00:22:40 or like a makeover to finally feel like, you know, we can romanticize those things. Let me tell you, you can be living on the street and still find things to romanticize. And of course, I have never lived on the street. so it's hard for me to say that. But also I want to say, like, we've all gone through things that are hard in our life. Even at my lowest point in my life, that was my personal lowest, I know. I wish I could have gone back and like, I know I could have found some certain things to enjoy in my life and find things that could have made my life better.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I just wasn't educated in knowledge that I could have done that. But there's things even in my daily life. When I have even daily struggles, I still seek out, okay, what am I rich for in life? What am I wealthy in in life? I'm just trying to motivate you and tell you it doesn't matter how low of a life you feel you have or how bad you feel your progress is of who you are, how behind you feel, where you are as a person. It doesn't matter how bad you feel it is. I promise you there's something you can find that makes you feel rich and you don't need to think,
Starting point is 00:23:43 okay, when I am full of money or when I have a good job or when I look, prettier or lose weight, that's when I'll start enjoying my life or finding things I can do in my life. No, you don't need a full reset to start now. You can now, today, right now, start thinking of what you are grateful for. And I'm not just saying, oh, think of it and move on. I'm talking really embrace it. The things that you would look past in the morning, such as eating your breakfast, even calling your friends, like things that so many people don't have the opportunity to do, or even let's say, because those are very cliche things. It can even be like having a very close relationship, like having like your mom. Maybe you're really close with your mom. That is something that not everybody has. It's not common to be
Starting point is 00:24:31 very close with your mom. Really think about that and acknowledge where so many people don't have that. And look how lucky you are to have that. Like you are a lucky person. Another thing to feel more rich is clean up your environment so it feels lighter and more intentional. That's where like I always say this, do a 15 minute clean before you go to bed. So it sets yourself up. in the morning for success? Because if you wake up in the morning, your desk is a mess, how are you expecting to sit down and be productive in the morning at your desk, on your computer, when everything is a mess and you can't even put your computer down? Like, set yourself up for the success that you want to have. Because if you have a messy room, your environment
Starting point is 00:25:10 in your head is going to feel messy. Set your environment to how you want to feel inside. I can't be the only one who has this like dream item of theirs that they always see whether it's bag a sweater a top and you're like i just need that but it's like sold out everywhere that's me with this one vintage dune and brick bag i literally was looking everywhere for it and i somehow found one on a posh mark but not just one i found multiple of them at such a good price and i was like wait this is just too good to be true so if you know me you know i am a poshmark girl poshmark is a marketplace where you can list and sell as well as buy new items vintage pieces gently used luxury pieces they really just have it all and i feel like there's no better time to go on poshmark now everyone's cleaning out
Starting point is 00:26:00 their closet and listing good things get in bed get cozy and go in poshmark to add to your new spring wardrobe new deals and sales are listed every day so don't wait download the poshmark app and use code busy when you sign up to get $10 off your first purchase or shop now at pashmark.com slash busy and get $10 off your first purchase that's p-o-s-h-m-a-k-com slash busy when becoming the girl on your vision board it so important to have a set wellness routine but it doesn't have to be a lot of time whether you're traveling or just having a spring refresh have something for your health that you can rely on that's why i love age one age one is a daily health drink clinically shown to support your gut health and fill in common nutrient gaps age one is so loved between me and my family i drink it all the time my mom my dad my
Starting point is 00:26:57 brothers my grandpa like we all love age one here most importantly because it's so easy you can literally just pour it into water, shake it up, and you're done. And it just feels so good to know that your energy, your immune health, and your gut health is all being supported. I seriously could not have a spring refresh without it. It's literally my favorite right now. Go to drinkag1.com slash pretty to get an AG1 flavor sampler in a bottle of vitamin D3 plus K2 for free in your AG1 welcome kit with your first AG1 subscription order. That's $72 yours free. Only while supplies last.
Starting point is 00:27:30 Go to drinkag1.com slash pretty. Another thing is prioritize routines that make you feel regulated. So that's sleep, movement, hydration. So just doing the basic daily things that you need can go such a long way, even though it's so easy to be like, oh yeah, I went on a walk, or yeah, I drink water today, or yeah, I slept. I know those things even may be hard if you're going through a hard time in your life. I promise you prioritizing those things can make you feel more regulated and also feel more rich in life.
Starting point is 00:28:04 Structure, wealthy. Structure is so wealthy. So rich, I'm telling you, so many people lack structure. Having that structure is going to make you feel better and make you feel way more on track. Another one is be intentional how you spend your time and spend time in ways that feel expansive, not draining. And I did not say expensive. I said expansive. So how are you going to expand your days? Expand your life. Again, we don't need to be booked and busy every single day. But let's say maybe days feel like a broken record. You're working every day. It feels very exhausting and it feels like you need to just do something else with your day.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Have a 10-minute meditation after work that you can look forward to in the evening. Have a show you can watch for just 30 minutes if you have time in the evening. Have a little sweet treat that you look forward to, a hobby you look forward to that you can spend even five minutes on. You have five minutes of your day, even though you may thinking, I don't. I have no time of the day. Any time you have scrolling on your phone or any other time, you have just wasting time that you know you're procrastinating, you're just doing something that's mindless, that is time. That is time you can be doing something for you. So anything, anything to add to your day that can feel more rich and just make you feel more, again, expansive. With that, I want to say,
Starting point is 00:29:24 stop thinking of the word busy with successful. Okay, like the busy yet pretty. Okay. That's my title of the podcast. We're busy yet we're making our lifestyle pretty. So that doesn't mean it needs to be busy. and stressful, busy and ugly, it's busy yet pretty. So you have to remember that. To have a booked non-stop schedule doesn't mean it's successful, doesn't mean it's productive. If anything, it's going to be draining. We want to make our life pretty and exciting. That's where the balance comes from. So yes, have a busy lifestyle, but at the same time, yet pretty, make it pretty. So that's going to be solo hobbies, taking time off, setting boundaries to have those moments for yourself, having time to decompress, to nap, to relax. Another thing is practice gratitude for stability, not for achievements. A lot of times
Starting point is 00:30:13 we'll have something really good happen to us and we'll be like, oh, I'm so grateful. Thank you so much. I'm so grateful to the universe, to God, whoever you look up to. And yes, that's great. You should always be grateful. But at the same time, don't be grateful for just the big things that happen. Be grateful for waking up today. Like I asked the cashier, I said, oh, how's your day going? They said, well, I woke up today. so I'm happy. I'm like, that's the attitude we need. We woke up today. It's as simple as that. Anything. Anything in your life. Your drink of water. Your daily coffee. Seeing your friend. Like those little things, be grateful for stability. Be grateful for just the random things that happen in your day that aren't big things, but just little things. Be grateful for those
Starting point is 00:30:52 things. And lastly, reduce comparison triggers. So social media over-stimulation, clutter. All those things, again, are going to take us back to what rich means in a, financial wise, because if we're seeing people constantly go on trips, or we're seeing people constantly have all these things, we're going to, it's easy to be like, gosh, I want that, or gosh, I wish I had that. And we don't know their lifestyle. We really don't, even though you think you know them. And even if they have that, okay, perfect, great for them. Use that as their goal. You can think, okay, I want to have that lifestyle one day and use that as a goal. But also, don't compare yourself thinking, I hate my life. I just want their life. No, that's not the way to
Starting point is 00:31:31 think. Again, we're thinking and being grateful for stability for the every little day, the every little little things that happen in our life, not just the big things and the big achievements. What keeps people from feeling not rich enough is the constant comparison to curated online lifestyles and only finding value from financial wealth as real success. Like those two things are so, so important to remember because those are the things that are going to make you feel not rich enough. And also just ignoring the emotional or lifestyle abundance that you already have in your life because there's so many things again you have that somebody else doesn't and there's things that you have that are literally rich and wealthy that you're looking straight past so a little reflection
Starting point is 00:32:12 because i know i asked in the beginning what does rich mean to you right now what does being rich mean to you right now from after we talked about this what does it mean to you right now and i want you to comment it if you're listening from spotify or maybe if you want to share it like on your instagram story and tag me i'd love to see it but what does rich mean to you right now? now. And also ask yourself, where do I already feel rich in my life? And lastly, what is one small change that I can make in my life to feel more abundant today? So really ask yourself that. You can journal it. You can comment it in the comment section and talk to other people in the comment section. But just remember, you do not have to wait to become rich in your life. Richness is something
Starting point is 00:32:52 you can notice, build and live into your daily life. I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did recording it.
