Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, my love. Welcome to the Busy Yet Pretty Podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley. If you are new here, welcome. On this show, we talk all about how to become the best version of you and ultimately live your dream life. That's from self-care, self-love, how to navigate life in general, home decor. We talk about it all. So welcome and I'm really excited to have you here today. I would also like to say, please bear with me. I am trying out different mics at the moment and seeing what sounds the best, because we have some exciting things coming up and I want to make sure I master how I like the audio to sound. But without further ado, let's get straight into what today's episode's going to be on. I just had a really strong macha and I had a croissant and a biscuit with lots of maple syrup right before this episode because I'm like, you know what, I need to get prepared. I need to get some energy. Not that croissants and biscuits are giving me energy, but a macho will give me some energy and I'm just really excited for this episode. Today's episode, said, we'll definitely be a motivational episode because would you rather have a year of progress
Starting point is 00:01:15 or a year of excuses? And I want you to really think about that question. Would you rather have a year of progress or a year of excuses? Because time goes by so fast and we can either build onto the life that we want and take time creating it or we can just use that time wasting it and wishing that we had a different life. But before we get into the episode today, let's get into our weekly review. So this week I had a really deep clean in my apartment, which feels so nice when you actually just take a full day or two to have a really big deep clean and get rid of things you don't need. I don't know if it's just me, but I am a victim to home goods and I am a victim to T.J. Max. I love it. Absolutely. And I will leave easily spending $200 every time I go. And now I'm like,
Starting point is 00:02:06 you know what? I need to slow down a bit because I don't need this. much home decor. I only have a small space at the moment. And I think it's really important to try to prioritize quality over quantity. And right now I'm just trying to almost not be disgusted by overloads of stuff. But I'm really trying to think, I don't need all of this. I don't need everything. I only need what I need. So trying to let go of things, donate things I really truly don't need and being more mindful before purchasing things because not even on a saving money type of mindset, but more of do I really need this and need to fill my space with something I'm going to use just a few times. But let's be real. If I go into home goods and see some pretty plates,
Starting point is 00:02:49 I will always leave with them and end up using all of them. Another thing this week is I have just been starting my sourdough journey and it is definitely a process. If you have ever seen any of those sourdough videos, props to the people who can master it and do it every single day, I have pretty much, I feel like almost gotten a full hang of it. And I've made a few loaf so far and it's come out so nice. And I just really love dialing into being my own like homemaker and baking my own stuff for myself. So once I master sourdough, bread for you, bread for your friends, bread for everyone. Okay, now into my current obsessions.
Starting point is 00:03:28 My current obsessions at the moment is herb plants. I love buying some like basil, thyme, and mint at the store and I put it in my cute little pots in my apartment. one, it looks cute and two, it's really nice to add them to your meals. Another current obsession at the moment is cooking at home. But that is something I have not really done this past week, but it's more of whenever I do it, I just feel so good about, you know, I loved what I cooked and I loved trying out new things. So even if it doesn't turn out that great, it's okay because trial and error is key.
Starting point is 00:03:59 If you want to learn, you have to try. My last cramp session at the moment is my Cizan bag. It's the cutest little like flower tote. It's like a woven tote and I just think really nice quality items are great because you can have them for years long and it can be used for everything. Now for my goal of the week, my goal of the week right now is to prevent any waves of overwhelmingness. And by that, that would be me staying to schedule and prioritizing destressing. And next week's episode is going to be all about how to de-stress and manage stress, which I think is so important,
Starting point is 00:04:33 especially if you're in school or working a job. it's really important knowing how to manage your stress so you can work your best. Another goal of the week is to do some toning workouts. I am someone who really preaches to add, not subtract, and unless, you know, it's really not needed. But I always believe that adding is going to do better than subtracting. And to me, what that looks like is I'm going to add in more workouts than remove certain things from my diet. And same with your diet.
Starting point is 00:05:02 If you want to eat healthier, you don't have to necessarily subtract all your favorite things that you like to eat. I'm still eating my croissants and biscuits, but at the same time, I'm adding in more greens to my diet. So it gives that healthy balance. And my last goal of the week right now is to not touch my phone an hour of waking up, which I feel is a goal that's been a goal for many, many years now. And same with you guys too, but I feel like it's really important to do that because it really just starts your day off on a much more less stressful start of your day. And you can slowly transition into waking up, enjoying your morning and having your own personal time, and then getting to work. You don't need to be hit with a 15-piece clothing hall right when you
Starting point is 00:05:45 open Instagram or you don't have to be hit with 10 raging emails from your work. Start off your day just with something positive, something for you, and then you can tackle your emails. Now on to the affirmation of the week. This is my year of productivity, happiness, and fulfillment. I love that affirmation so much. I really recommend you affirming that to yourself because it is so good that we remember, we're still in the beginning of the year and any time of the year you can do this, but we're still in the beginning of the year where we're setting our new year resolutions. We're setting our intentions. So make sure you don't feel like, oh, we're so far into the year already. That's out the window. We're removing the all or nothing mindset. You can start at any time of the year
Starting point is 00:06:28 for a new year mindset and right now is the perfect time to start. Now on two, your self-love question. What can I do today for my future self tomorrow would thank me for? I love this question because it's a great way to think how can you be productive and prepare for yourself for the next day? That can be you laying out your clothes the night before. That could be you setting up anything you need for the next day to get a good start on your day. I feel like planning for yourself ahead of time is one of the best forms of self-care. And again, self-care is not just a face mask, but it can be planning ahead. Now into our challenge of the week. Go to bed before 10 p.m. to get well rested and an hour prior to bed, don't go on your phone. Again, we're starting our morning
Starting point is 00:07:15 not on our phone and we're going to end our day not on our phone because we don't need all that blue artificial light. And also for our mental health, it is really good to be present because I guarantee you you cannot remember the last things you scrolled on on TikTok or Instagram that you looked at. I I bet you cannot remember it. Name 10 videos for me. You can't. But you know what you can remember is something that you actually did in reality, like reading your book or doing some yoga. You can remember things like that, which is real natural experiences. But again, if it's your only time to scroll is at night because you've been busy all day, go have it. I love watching my TV at night and scrolling. It's like a little treat at the end of the day. Okay, now on to the podcast review. If you
Starting point is 00:08:02 want to be featured on next week's episode, make sure you leave a podcast review over Apple Podcasts and leave a rating over Spotify. This review is from Malz and she said, this podcast community is literally one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to. I love every episode and the newest one is always in my morning routine slash playlist. Thank you so much, Malz, for your sweetest review. I'm so glad that you enjoy the show and it's in your morning routine. It truly makes my day always reading your guys as sweet reviews and seeing all the posts of the podcast you guys share. Now it is time to get into the episode finally and I'm very excited to dive into this episode today. Again, the big question I've asked, would you rather have a year of progress or a year of excuses?
Starting point is 00:08:48 Really take a minute to ask yourself this question because it is so unbelievably powerful to realize your life is all in your hands. who you are as a person is in your hands. Your future is all in your hands. Your time is precious. I want you to start living your time in your life through this perception because it is so important to start living your life with healthy balance. You don't want to sit around and be unproductive wishing your life was different. And at the same time, you also don't want to have the mindset of working so hard and just
Starting point is 00:09:23 being fully in overdrive mode, working towards their huge goals and not enjoying the process. There has to be a healthy balance. You can't just be one way of sitting on the couch, wishing your life was different, scrolling on TikTok, wishing that you had their body, their lifestyle, their whatever, because, you know, are used to comparing yourself. And you also don't want to be so, so unbelievably working where you're not enjoying your life. There has to be a middleman and a healthy balance and you need to be in the middle. You want to work hard to achieve your goals, but you also want to enjoy the drive and the path there. With that said, this is your life. And let me remind you that you are the only person
Starting point is 00:10:05 who cares to make your life the life that you want. Nobody cares as much as you do. And if you don't care, then this is going to be your life. You need to have a why and you have to have a desire. But even if you do have a why and a desire and the life, you know the life that you want to live, still no one's going to want it for you as much as you want it yourself. No one's going to make that life for you, but you. Your friend is not going to create your dream life for you. And hearing that to you may feel exhausting. And if so, it's because you're tired.
Starting point is 00:10:38 We all are. We're all tired. We all want life easy and to be set up exactly how we want. And we want to snap and have our dream life. but that's not how it works. There has to be work, desire, and action put into it for us to have the results that we want. So like I said, your friend, your mom, your dad, your teacher, your boss, your boyfriend, your husband, nobody's going to try to make your life better, but you, of course they can help
Starting point is 00:11:04 and try, but nobody's going to do it as much as you can do it for yourself. The only person capable of creating the life that you want, you truly want, is you. And this, of course, is a motivational episode, but at the same time, this is not for me to just pull you off the couch and force you to be productive. This is an episode where I want you to leave with the desire and the want to create this best life and best year for you because there is no life or nothing without a desire. You have to have a want, a why, and a desire. And what I mean by that, it's like when people say, oh, therapy only works when the person. and wants to go themselves. When people try to force their boyfriend or their husband to go to therapy, or you're trying
Starting point is 00:11:51 to force somebody to go, if they don't want to go, it's not going to work. So if you don't have a want or desire for this life or this dream and vision of a career that you have, if you have no desire or want for it, it's not going to work. If you came up to me and said, you have the opportunity to take this job of being the best, highest paid sales associate for cars. You'll be the highest paid car saleswoman. I have zero desire to be a car saleswoman. I don't care how much it pays. I don't care if I was being offered the highest paying role for that. I don't have a desire. So one, the career is not going to work out. And two, I'm not even going to make it to the job because I'm putting no action into it because I don't
Starting point is 00:12:35 want that. So maybe your parents or someone is trying to pressure you to want something, where you don't even want that, it's okay to not want something for what someone wants for you. Someone may want you to be a doctor, but maybe you have zero interest in being a doctor. Instead, you rather be a business owner. So it's really important to realize what do you want? And again, you don't have to know what you want and stick to this career or this future for your whole life. Okay? There's so many things I want to become in my life.
Starting point is 00:13:08 if you think of someone like Ina Garden, she is very successful business woman. She has been in the food space and has produced many, many cookbooks. But something that many people don't realize is she's had so many different jobs before this. She's worked in the White House. She's got her pilot's license. She's got so many different type of jobs before she ended up doing what she's doing now. And this is your sign to remember that you don't have to do one thing in your life. You can do many different things, but as long as you know what you want and don't do something for someone else or don't do something because you feel like you should is when you're going to find success.
Starting point is 00:13:49 Even if you want to become something that's not a high paying thing, I promise you when you stick to doing what you love and what you want, the money will follow. Your happiness, goals, future life, dreams will only happen if you truly want them yourself. So maybe at the moment, you don't have an ideal lifestyle that you're trying to go for or you don't have any goals. And that's going to leave you when you have no goals or desires. It's going to leave you unproductive. That's common knowledge because when you don't want something, you're not going to try to pursue it. It's just like a relationship. If there's a guy that you know and you have no interest in him, you're not going to go out of your way to try to pursue him because you don't want him.
Starting point is 00:14:31 So why would you try to take action and risk you? your free time and put yourself in the position to work hard to achieve something that you're not wanting. You're not going to do that. And when you want something and know what you want, you will do anything to get that. I promise you. Knowing the lifestyle you're wanting, knowing your goals is what will get you productive. If you currently don't have that drive or motivation to be productive, it's time for you to stop and look inwards. And this is not for you to make broad goals, such as making a million dollars or traveling or having a mansion. Those are goals where they are very unspecific and they are just very broad in general. What you need to do is be specific. Why do you want
Starting point is 00:15:15 a million dollars? Why do you want to travel? Why do you want a mansion? What is your why? What is the why? Having broad dreams are just going to make them feel so unrealistic and far from you because having a million dollars or traveling. You're just putting the word traveling down as a goal. what is that one we're going to do? Traveling. Why do you want to travel? When you know specifically what you want, it will feel more realistic and leaving you more excited and having that motivation to be productive.
Starting point is 00:15:45 It's because you have a why. So why do you want a million dollars? Maybe your why is because you want financial security. Why do you want to travel? You want to travel because you want to travel to Sweden and Dubai because you want to see the landmarks there and you want to learn other cultures. Why do you want a mansion? The why is because you want an limited closet, you want space, and you want to host dinner parties. Being specific, narrowing down your broad goals to realistic
Starting point is 00:16:14 goals are what's going to help them feel more realistic and understanding how to break them down. So now that you've done that and you have your why, you're ready to get up and get to work, hopefully. But if not, no worries. And let me just pick your brain for a second. What is stopping you. Who is stopping you? You are so focused and yourself doubt and taking your life way too seriously and I promise you that because when you start to look at life differently, by not living life for anyone but yourself is when you're going to start loving you and loving your life and understanding you are the creator of your entire life. When you take things too seriously, care too much about what people think and live with such a perfectionist mindset, you'll never
Starting point is 00:16:58 live for you because you'll always be living for someone else. Life is beautiful. Your life is beautiful. Regardless of what your past looks like or even your current, your future is what matters. Focus on the future, not the past. You can learn from your mistakes. Yeah, never be afraid to try and fail because I promise you trying and fail will only add to the success of your future. But do not be afraid to fail. And if you failed and if you look at your past and think, gosh, all I've done is fail, This is all amazing life lessons for you to add to your future. Stop thinking of yourself and seeing yourself as a side character and start becoming the main character of your story.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Do you even realize how much a year can change your life? Like, all it takes is having confidence in your potential, knowing your why and taking action, and being grateful for every step of the way. If you think of someone like Dochi, who just won a Grammy, five years ago, She was fired from her job at Chipotle and she even has the video still up at YouTube saying she was fired and she doesn't know what to do but she just has a vision for herself and she knew she knew she was going to become the person she wanted to become with her music career.
Starting point is 00:18:17 I can't be the only one who has this like dream item of theirs that they always see whether it's a bag, a sweater, a top and you're like, I just need that but it's like sold out everywhere. That's me with this one vintage Duny and Burke bag. I literally was looking everywhere for it and I somehow found one on a Poshmark. But not just one. I found multiple of them at such a good price and I was like, wait, this is just too good to be true. So if you know me, you know I am a Poshmark girl. Poshmark is a marketplace where you can list and sell as well as buy new items, vintage pieces, gently used, luxury pieces.
Starting point is 00:18:52 They really just have it all. And I feel like there's no better time to go on Poshmark now. Everyone's cleaning out their closet and listing good things. Get in bed, get cozy, and go in Poshmark to add to your new spring wardrobe. New deals and sales are listed every day, so don't wait. Starting point is 00:19:20 I can't be the only one who has this like dream item of theirs that they always see, whether it's a bag, a sweater, a top, and you're like, I just need that, but it's like, sold out everywhere. That's me with this one, vintage Duny and Birk bag. They really just have it all. And I feel like there's no better time to go on Poshmark now. Everyone's cleaning out their closet and listing good things.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Get in bed, get cozy, and go in Pashmark to add to your new spring wardrobe. New deals and sales are listed every day, so don't wait. Download the Poshmark app and use code Bizzy when you sign up to get $10 off your first purchase or shop now at Poshmark.com slash busy and get $10 off your first purchase. That's P-O-S-H-M-A-R-K.com slash busy. And fast forward five years later, she's performing at the Grammys. She was. She won. won a Grammy and she was just like you. Five years before her winning a Grammy, she was living at like her little apartment talking about how she was fired, not knowing what to do, but she said, I'm going to go to studios and go look around and start doing like an internship, seeing how I can get
Starting point is 00:20:57 my foot in the door because I know what I want for myself and I'm going to get there. She had that mindset. She's just like you. She was listening to motivational speakers. And guess what? She got there. It can happen to anyone. It can happen if you believe. in yourself. Guys, I was literally eating lunch in the bathroom stall in high school. I literally did not see myself living the life I was now until I realized and until it clicked to me after high school. I'm like, openly people know the version of myself that I put out and I was insecure. I was not confident with myself. I was shy. But what I did was I turned my life around. I started acting like the person I wanted to become. I was not confident. But I started. I started. I started. I
Starting point is 00:21:41 started acting confident. Nobody knows if I was truly confident or not. And when you start acting that way, people will start treating you the way that you act as you want to be treated. Even if you were insecure inside, nobody knows that. Even if you think you're going to try and fail, nobody knows that. As long as you just do it, stop worrying about what other people think. Okay. If someone is telling you, oh, look, it's funny that you're trying to do content and you're posting videos. They're laughing about it. I have the same thing happen to me. Guess what? Do not take advice from people that you don't want to become. If you take advice from people you want to become, you're going to end up in the same position as you're at right now. You need to listen to the people that you want to become. You need to look and see
Starting point is 00:22:28 how other people are doing it. Do not be the smartest person in the room. When you're the smartest person in the room, it's time for you to move to a different room. You have to get uncomfortable. Do you realize being comfortable is only going to make you stay complacent and stay exactly where you're at? You're not going to grow. You're not going to learn new things and you're not going to become the best version of you. If you want to grow and if you want to achieve the things you have to do, you have to be uncomfortable. I've gotten to the point where if I'm not uncomfortable, then I'm not growing, okay?
Starting point is 00:23:00 I feel uncomfortable to being comfortable. I have to go make myself go out of my way and to find something that's going to make me comfortable. So I continue feeling that like mindset of thinking, you know what? Nothing's a big deal. As long as I'm treating myself with respect and going after the life that I want, then that's all that matters. Do you think I care what user 825725 comments on my video or DMs me saying something looks stupid? Do you think I care? And also, thankfully I don't get a lot of hate. I'm also really grateful for all the love I receive. But I do get some hate. And if I ever do, do you think I care?
Starting point is 00:23:39 Every single person is not going to like what you do. There's going to be people out there who do not like what you do. And that's okay. They're not meant for your life. Let me tell you, if you're getting someone not liking what you're doing, you're doing something right. Because not everyone is going to like what you do. And the people who don't like what you do and have a problem with you living your life and happiness are the people who are most unhappy with themselves.
Starting point is 00:24:05 I've never met someone in my life who has. happy with themselves who goes out of their way to hate on others. I literally have never met someone like that. Anytime I've met someone who goes out of their way, actively goes out of their way to be rude about someone living their own life and doing what makes them happy, it's because they're unhappy with themselves. And I know all our moms have told us that if someone doesn't like you, it's because they have a problem with themselves. But it is the truth. They are projecting, I promise you, even if something is far, far from my style, or I don't, you know, necessarily agree with what they're doing or I don't want that same lifestyle as them.
Starting point is 00:24:45 I don't care. I'm not going to go out of my way and tell them how to live or be negative about them. All that matters to me is what's happening in my life and how can I help others. And for them, for me to go out of my way and say something to them would show that I am projecting. I'm unhappy with myself because when you are content with yourself, and you're content with your career and you're content with who you are and your dreams and your morals is when you're when you're fulfilled you don't need to go dim somebody else's light
Starting point is 00:25:14 to bring up yours all i like to do is help other people and spread light to other people and i'm telling you when i get a girl complimenting me in public or seeing someone be nice to someone that right there just shows how happy they are with themselves spreading love to one another is one of the best forms of self-care. And you're thinking, how is that self-care by spreading love to other people? Because it's not about yourself. You don't realize that being nice to other people makes you become a better person. It really does. Kindness is something that is so looked past. And, you know, the word kindness is just so generic. But let's be real. Kindness is one of the best things that's going to help motivate each other. I have found so many people who are
Starting point is 00:26:03 truly kind and truly happy with themselves, and I could never see them pulling someone else down. I've also met many people who are very unhappy with themselves, and those are the people who actively could not shut up about talking about other people. Of course, it's okay to your, you know, close friends if you want to say something that you feel or someone bugged you, you can talk about that. But if you're constantly going out of your way to talk about someone else, when that person's not there to defend themselves is when you realize you have too much time on your hands and you're not doing things for you
Starting point is 00:26:38 and you're spending your time doing things that don't matter, such as gossiping. So if you hear your friend saying how so-and-so was talking about you, okay, and you don't even need to hear it. And let me just say, do not take it to heart. Because, again, it's projecting that they seriously have the time to go talk about you and care what you're doing with your life. so be it. So be it. Let them. Because you are busy creating the life that you want. Do you know how many
Starting point is 00:27:07 times people laughed at me for things I was doing when I was trying to build my career? And guess what? Those same people now, now that I've been pretty successful with what I'm doing, those same people, many, many years later have tried to message me saying, hey, do remember me from high school? We should do something soon. So remember, people are going to try to pull you down on your way to creating the life that you desire in your dream life, and those people pulling you down will most likely try to pop back into your life once you've made it. So this is to reassure you that you're the only person who will truly believe and understand your goals as much as yourself. When you were so fulfilled and clearly know what you want, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks because you're going to have
Starting point is 00:27:51 some fake people who cross you and you're going to have some really supportive people who cross you. But at the end of the day, understand and know who supported you throughout the whole process. support them back. Remember, always give the same support that you receive. But at that same time, understand that you are the only person who fully is going to understand your goals. So even if it looks weird on the outside or the process is unexplainable to somebody else, you know what you're doing. You know the process. So dial in and do it for you. All it takes is you making one decision to realize this is not who I am and I can build the person I want to become and rewrite myself to make a new version of myself in my head that is confident, happy, successful, giving, loving, and
Starting point is 00:28:35 full of gratitude. And once you have that person in your head that you want to become this new version of yourself, believe it, act as that person and you truly will become it. It's time for you to wake up and get productive. Lay out your workout clothes the night before. Put on a podcast while you work out. I even have episodes all, like all that you can listen while working out or doing things like cleaning your house. Go light a candle and have a little snack board while you do your homework or your computer work. Start thinking so highly of you that you know the highest version of yourself wouldn't allow distractions and would have self-discipline. Start falling in love with who you are and who you're becoming. Know your worth and add tax. Begin romanticizing every
Starting point is 00:29:22 little thing in your life and I know you guys hear this every single episode, but you have to do it. Whatever is going to make you excited to take action, then do it. I find that I and many others perform our best when we're putting ourselves and overall our daily life in a story in our mind. Like for me, my every day I love to think of myself in a Nancy Meyer's movie living in my beautiful farmhouse as I sit at my computer and work. Of course, I love my apartment, but I'm not necessarily in my dream place right now, but I can imagine I am. And doing that, that you're going to get to that spot in your life. The more you imagine and truly believe it's real is when it becomes real. I remember I had meditated and I was just like manifesting that same time
Starting point is 00:30:10 as I was meditating. And during this time, all I wanted was I just really wanted to be in the East Coast for the fall. So while I was meditating, I just closed my eyes and I truly felt like I was feeling the leaves below. I felt like I was walking in the East Coast with my jacket on and with my parents and truly just embodying those feelings. And I did it for about 30 minutes. I even put on some like outdoor music. I put on to make me feel like I was truly just taking a walk in the park. Let me tell you that next day, I got the opportunity to go to the East Coast and it happened. I cannot tell you how much this stuff happens. And I promise you, this is not just, oh, think about it and it works. I promise if you truly believe it, it's going to work.
Starting point is 00:30:57 If you truly believe and understand the person that you want to become, you're going to become her. If you truly believe and understand the life that you want, you're going to have that life. So put yourself in a story if that makes you become more productive. And that's going to make you feel just more excited about doing your stuff. So maybe putting on some music, you can even watch movies to kind of get you in that motivated mindset. Also, think and reflect on last year. I have an episode on this, but what did you feel about last year? What did you do wrong and what did you do great?
Starting point is 00:31:31 What do you want to bring into your future with your actions? Like what worked and what didn't? How do you feel about your achievements last year? And also, look how fast a year can go by. A year of progress or a year of excuses. Procrastination is something we are all fall victim of. And it's easy because it gives us temporary happiness. We do something else. because we're trying to shield what we don't want to do. But all that's doing is prolonging us living our dream life. No one's going to do this but you. You have to just dial in and do it even if it's uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:32:05 Even if it's not fun and exciting to do the work. Even if it's something that you just are not really confident about or knowing how to do it, do it. Take action. You cannot wait to start and launch fast, perfect later. That's what I did with this podcast. I was wanting to make it perfect before I launched back a few years ago. And I was really nervous. I was like, I just wanted to be perfect before I launch it because I don't want to start it and not do well.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And then I'm going to want to start over and wish I didn't start it. No, what I did, I launched and I decided to perfect as I go. I always look back and think, what if I didn't try? What if I didn't launch at that moment? Because let me just say, within weeks, I ended up on the podcast charts for Spotify. and have been climbing on the charts ever since. And if I just think to myself, what if I didn't start? It just blows my mind. And that's what you're going to be thinking. When you're sitting in your dream house, living your dream life, happy, fulfilled, and love the person you become, you're going to think,
Starting point is 00:33:09 what if I didn't just try? What if? Because you could have been sitting at home still, wishing your life was different and let all those years go to waste because you just had excuses. You gave into procrastination. and you let doubt win instead of letting your potential win. Stop procrastinating, especially the small things. Anything that can be done under five minutes, do the task as soon as you can do it, because think of how much you'll get it done quick rather than letting just build it up. A quick five-minute task you can do right now. You can get it and do it instead of putting it to the back of the end of the day,
Starting point is 00:33:45 then all of a sudden you have 10, five-minute tasks that are going to take a lot longer all to do because you just procrastinated them all instead of just doing it right at that moment. There will be no perfect time to start. So drop the perfectionist mindset and realize the cost of procrastination is the life that you could have lived. I want you to have the best year yet. And I want you to have the life that you deserve to have. So instead of having a year of excuses, it's time for you to have a year of progress. I know you are more than capable of having every single thing that you want in life.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Don't let doubt win. And maybe you're feeling motivated right now and really excited. And I don't want you to start this week or start today. I want to just start right now on becoming this new version of yourself. Start right now on having a year of progress than a year of excuses. Because right now is the best time for you to dial in and have the best year yet. And I have a year of progress, not a year of excuses. I hope you enjoyed this episode as much as I did talk.
