Starting point is 00:00:00 I'm going to say yo, can we set up a new film? Hello, I'm Daphne. She made me watch a movie about a bear. I was really frustrated. I don't watch that movie. It's coffee snake. Good morning. Hello, I'm Nair.
Starting point is 00:00:11 No, don't say that. Yo, I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair.
Starting point is 00:00:19 I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair. I'm Nair! No, don't say that! Yo! Hi everyone! Happy Ramadan!
Starting point is 00:00:32 It's funny. No, but it's just to mention the conditions under which we record. Because my Nair is... My Daphne is having a big Ramadan. Not eating, not drinking coffee, nothing like that. Welcome to Café Snake. Today, there is an episode that's available only on our Patreon. So if you want to listen to it on Spotify or Apple,
Starting point is 00:00:49 no matter what, the episode is only available on Patreon. Thanks to everyone who subscribes, it's really a nice community. What are you going to talk about today, Daphne? I'm going to do a review on a topic that I mentioned in the DJ News in the previous episode. I'm going to talk about natalism and its link with eugenics. And I think it's really a very important topic that is very, very, very present in the media discourse, but sometimes we don't make the link between eugenics and natalism. The dramatic voice.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Yeah, you see, what are you going to talk about? Well, today I'm going to go back to the scandal of all names, the fiasco, the hack, the implementation of a modern government service system that has totally failed the report of the General Verifier in Cablan which led to the dismissal of the rickers. Oh my god. Well, I took notes on your subject. Yeah, so if we're going to talk about the hack, let's just talk a little bit about the industry of digital transformation
Starting point is 00:01:44 as we call it in the consulting circles I'm in right now. Digital transformation. I'm going to take this opportunity to go back to your topic, but when we talk about the die-happer discourse for coffee and snake OGs, you probably recognized the discourse of the generation. So, without further ado... The DG News! Tadadou!
Starting point is 00:02:06 The chocolate from Dubai has arrived! Tidou dou! Go, go, go, go! That's who you should honor! I thought I was gonna come back for more, you dumb, dirty bitch. The Dubai chocolate is here! How much do you need, in 2025, as a party leader, to say, hey, I need to do TikTok, I need to do it on Instagram? Why this bitch obsessed with me? I just don't understand. You suck the dick straight out my ass. Who got the upper hand? It's a bit mandatory as people find themselves there. You set my burn down, why she took a second? For me, in my work, I find it really important, as people get together. For me, in my work, I think it's really important and it's indispensable today.
Starting point is 00:02:40 François Lombier, François Lombier, Lombier. François Lombier, François Lomb, François Lambert, Lambert François Lambert, François Lambert, Lambert François Lambert, Lambert Don't tell us what we're gonna feel I'm not telling you Because you're in no position to dictate that Remember that You're in no position to dictate what we're gonna feel
Starting point is 00:03:01 Oh my god, got Chiqui can't have all night The big body can't do like Groovy boy he pop his mugs what we're gonna feel. We're gonna feel very good. We're gonna feel very good and very strong. You're right now not in a very good position. You're a bootlegger! Fuck you! Bootlegger! Go to hell!
Starting point is 00:03:32 I hope they give you fake maple syrup tomorrow! Damn Alabama, you a tramp Alabama Wait it straight, got the window guys playing Alabama Simon says, fuck your feet. Move your hands Alabama. Baby says, I'm up the street like here I am Alabama. Stop the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian people. About two months ago, I became a father and my hope to my daughter that she will not
Starting point is 00:03:57 have to live the same life I'm living now, always fearing, always fearing settlers' violence, home demolitions and forest pill displacements that my community, Masaf Riyatta, is living and facing every day under the Israeli occupation. No other land reflects the harsh reality that we have been enduring for decades and still resist as we call on the world to take serious actions to stop the injustice
Starting point is 00:04:30 and to stop the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian people. We're going to start the DJ news with the Trump-Zelensky confrontation, it seems, from the Oval Office with JD VD. Vance who was in Chipmunk. For real, the person I like the least of United States of America and the president who's trying to save your country. For real, the person I dislike the least in this whole interaction is GD Vans. It's funny because I was at our place, I was editing, and my brother texted me and he's like, bro, check this out live. He sent me a live stream of Fox News, like, live at the White House.
Starting point is 00:05:21 And I click, and it's literally when you're like, you're not gonna tell us what we're gonna feel. You don't decide, we're gonna be really good, Jolique. You texted me just at the time I was leaving a meeting with students in the class of cultural journalism at the CGF Édouard Monpetit. And we had just talked about the importance of live in the kind of current media economy. That's it. Everyone is like that. It's never been seen. We've seen negotiations live. I wouldn't go that far.
Starting point is 00:05:50 We haven't seen negotiations live. I think what we've really seen is a head of state, Zelensky, and another who are doing their case in front of the public about who we should love the most. So a media spectacle. A spectacle, but more like a seduction. Not seduction, but a political work to make people ideologically convinced.
Starting point is 00:06:08 It was more like that. I didn't see it as like, oh my god, we are witnessing geopolitical negotiations between Ukraine and the US. No, I saw it as a show to court us. Honestly, I think that Zelensky made a mistake when he said
Starting point is 00:06:24 if you don't help Ukraine, you'll feel it later and you'll see it, blah blah blah You're lucky to have the ocean It's just a psychological mistake to know Trump Like he was going to tell Trump in front of him that he was weak That one day he was going to feel Russia, but if it wasn't because of their oceans, blah blah blah Like that's where it goes wrong. That's where Trump snaps. And for real, I think... But isn't it because the US want to get closer to the Russians to counter the Chinese threat?
Starting point is 00:07:03 Well, no. The Russians and China are... China has been selling oil to Russia and water since the beginning of the war. So I think it's a matter of ego. Trump said that Day One was going to settle this. Now he realizes that it's more complex than Day One to settle this conflict. Trump likes strong men, he likes people who have power. There is much more affinity with Putin than with Zelensky, the artist, comedian who is kind. You know, the politician.
Starting point is 00:07:25 In a way, you say that, but the two personalities that were at stake, Trump and Zelensky, they are two media personalities at the base, these two people that we saw on TV. Yeah, but Trump is also a business man at the edge. That's the story he built that got you going, because if we really get interested in Trump's business journey, we realize that he has done several, we realize that he did several wrongs, he did several failures, and he was born in money anyway. Yeah, but he still has a lot of money. I think that the kind of vision that comes out...
Starting point is 00:07:53 How is he a grime? He worked in the New York real estate company, he built big towers, he managed to accomplish... Yeah, he made a lot of money, for sure, but that's the game. I think that the vision without nuance, that it's not an entrepreneur who didn't have a lot of money, that he spent everything and just made a lot of failed all his life, he never had anything. That was the end of the free extract available to everyone on our Spotify, Apple wires. If you want to listen to the rest of the episode, you can go to patreon.com bar oblique, tchao, my son.
