Every step I take, I move my truth.
Every time they tell me stop I use.
Every comment hate that makes my feel.
Gather up my energy and boom.
I hear them talking, saying the way that I move it's so reckless.
That is a part of my mind I've been blessed with.
Giving my blood so I am relentless.
Keep hammering collective.
This is Shit Talkers Weekly.
This is Shit Talkers Weekly version 5.0 and it's just 5.0.
It's not 5.0.
Mustang.
It's Mustang.
It's Mustang GT.
So here we are with James Gideon Williams.
Hobbitmaster Williams.
The one and only.
And Connor, Larry Connor.
What?
Westover.
He doesn't want his real name out there anyways.
No.
Have you guys ever had like blueberry turnovers?
Do you know what those are?
Like Petridge Farms.
Did you ever have those?
Oh yeah.
Like flaky, super flaky with blueberries in them.
Well, probably no, I don't know what if it was actually blueberries, but it's purple.
Booberries?
No, no, that's cereal.
Oh.
And I did see booberries in Courtney Kardashian's, like, pantry.
Okay.
But anyway, yeah.
So when I said conover, does I say conover?
Westover.
Westover.
I thought of turnover, which made me think of when I was a kid and eat.
would eat blueberry turnovers.
And when you'd cook those in the oven,
the key is like you want them kind of crispy
and burnt a little bit.
But then it makes that supposedly blueberry filling
like lava.
And have you ever tried to eat lava?
It'll fuck you up.
Why don't they call them blueberry cream pies?
I don't know.
I don't know.
But if they do make those anything,
I'm not.
Hot lava filling.
Hey, that's a nice twist.
A cream pie that's purple.
That's a little fun little twist on a cream pie, isn't it?
You haven't seen that every day.
Hey, babe, I want to try something tonight.
I've been pounding down those Petridge Farms,
bluer turnovers.
Let's see what it does to my load.
Speaking of loads,
I have a fun little fact toy.
Oh.
Fact toy to the week.
I got more, too.
Oh, beautiful.
Yeah, go ahead.
All right.
Let me think what mine was.
Something about boners.
All right, this is the same category.
Okay.
All right, factoid of the day.
The average male ejaculation travels about 28 miles per hour.
That's faster than the average speed of a sprinter in the Olympics.
Usain Bolt's top speed was around 27.8 during.
his world record 100 meter dash.
So, at some point in time, at some point in time, I was faster than you said.
You came faster than you said.
The problem is, it's hard to time that start with your load.
I mean, because I would like to see how that, not, well, no, I don't actually want to
see it.
I don't really, I actually want to see it.
Hypothetically.
And I don't know if it goes 100 meters.
I mean, maybe after a few months.
I don't know.
Babe, grab the stopwatch.
I want to try something.
That's got to be a faster zero to 60 than a Mustang 5.0.
Wait.
Wait.
Way to bring it back.
Oh, yeah, I got to tie it back together.
Yeah.
Whatever sponsors we have left, we definitely are going to need new sponsors.
for this segment.
Yeah, but it's shit talkers weekly.
Like, Oshuaganda, they could be it.
Is that a brand or just?
It's a vitamin, I think it makes more, more hearty loads.
Jesus.
So, like, they could sponsor, I mean, just because it ties in so well.
Yeah, we're sponsored by the supplement.
All right.
Okay.
Do we need another start?
we might i don't know how much of that is useful sorry macy god that's probably one of the worst
that's got to be one of the worst or worst or best however you want to what do we at minute-wise
20 did we just talked about load for five of it 837 wow it's a lot of loads
Yeah. Okay. All right. So on to our regularly scheduled programming. Yeah.
Our shorts sold out. Yeah. Didn't take that long. No. A couple hours. Yeah. I'm so sick of Mark. I'm so sick of making every decision. That's all. I think that's what I said in my rant. I'm surprised I didn't hear it.
Yeah, no, it's like every photo, every word, part of it is my mind because if I don't,
then I'm like, you dumb fucks, why would you put, so.
And then, yeah, publishers calling, lawyers calling.
I don't think people, have we talked about I get sued?
Like, we really haven't.
Fuck.
It's getting sued is actually getting old.
Yeah, so getting sued all the time.
Seems like.
Oh, yeah.
It's been.
And then, yeah, then the marketing.
But they were going to say getting sued is gay.
That would be a good T-shirt.
It is.
But being gay is fine.
Yeah.
Well, no.
And it's a suit is great.
All love.
Yeah.
It's shit talkers weekly.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
It's all good.
But no, short sold.
They're in really short.
So that's good
But people like them
They got cool design
They sold out
I think a couple hundred
I don't know how many
But anyway
We're gonna have
I told them to make
300 more
Because those sold out so fast
Most people are like
Apparently people have jobs
And they work
I wouldn't know
But yes
People were saying that
By the time they saw it
Or were they at work
By the time they saw it
It was they were gone already
so we're going to do 300 more pair and get them while they last.
Well, to overcompensate the shortness, the next ones will make below the knee.
Basketball shorts.
Yeah, I know.
Then you can just mix and match.
If you average the two, it's perfect.
Yeah.
No, they're definitely for runners.
If like some more thicker guys put them on, they'll be like hot pants, which great.
Well, yeah.
That's great.
You'll like it.
I'd like to see those thicker guys.
Show me those cheeks.
It's all caked up.
Double cheeked up on a Thursday.
Oh, my Lord.
I mean, if I'm going to see like cake, I want it to be, can just, no, no, guys.
I don't, I want to see hairy legs in a, like, the little,
like the little ass cheek hanging out.
I mean, if people do want to see that, God bless him.
God bless him.
God bless him.
I don't.
Unless that's like baby skin smooth and just.
So if it's a guy, you got to shave your ass.
I don't know.
Let's just say dolphin, like dolphin skin.
That's how if I think girls need to be like more like dolphins.
Okay.
Well, for you.
I'm into dirty feet.
and Harry Pitts and a little B.O.
I mean, it's Eugene.
I call it fairmoan.
There's some hot hippies.
Yeah, I haven't seen them.
I mean, theoretically, there's got to be.
Somewhere.
They're under the bridge.
My little bridge troll.
Yeah, so yeah, kicked up guys, no thanks.
Keep those to yourself.
But the shorts are cool.
Yeah.
No, I'm glad those sold out.
I'm glad we got more coming.
We got a little bit to catch up on from this past weekend.
We went to Seattle for Supercross.
That's right.
So I wanted to run through the story of the whole event.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah.
Do it.
So first of all, we took the whole team.
Everyone, dude.
We took everybody.
Yeah.
I mean, Connor was like, you know, didn't want to say, do I get a go?
Yeah.
So he worded it is kind of a song.
soft, a little soft serve cell a little bit, but he's like, are we going to take the whole team?
I'm like, sorry, what, are you fucking asking if you're going to go?
It just sounds better, though.
When is it, it's more, more, uh, just vague?
Yeah, so we took you and me and Connor and me.
And I went.
Yeah, I went, you went.
And then Connor came.
Yeah. So it started off hot. We got there. We flew from Eugene to Seattle.
Good, good. And we went to check into the hotel.
Oh, for sake. This is another thing. Yeah, now hotels like, it's bad enough for at McDonald's, you have to, you order yourself. You might as well go make your food yourself.
Nobody works anymore. So we go to the hotel and there's like one lady with 20 kiosks and she's like, yeah, just go ahead and check in.
I'm like, yeah, I fucking remember when hotels used to have actually people that would help you.
And whatever.
So, of course, mine didn't work.
Yeah.
You put, I don't even know what you put in there.
But it didn't come up, which didn't surprise me because I didn't have a reservation.
Yeah.
Oh, I thought this person was, oh, no, I thought this.
It's like, so nobody fucking made reservations.
It's super cross weekend in Seattle, which there's about a million people.
trying to find hotels.
Yeah.
And they did have one room for that night, luckily, because it's a really nice hotel.
Jeez.
Worst hotel I've ever been in.
What was that f***ole called?
What was it called?
Citizen M.
Oh my God.
It is like you're in a prison cell.
I'm like, is this what hotels are coming to now?
It is, my room was as big as this table.
And then you took a shit in the shower, which was also on.
on top of the bed.
The toilet was in a drawer over the bed.
And then I couldn't figure out how to even turn the fucking lights on for a while
because I hung my shirt up and it was over the light switched by the bed.
So I'm going everywhere.
It's like, is this?
So I took a shower in the dark.
I'm like,
what are we saving?
Electricity,
electricity now?
What is going on?
Is this so advanced?
I'm picturing you fuming in your top.
Yeah,
I was already, I don't need any reasons to be upset generally.
The best part was is Connor and I shared one of those jail cells.
I know, I actually felt, I never feel bad for anything, but I actually, well, except for
that one comment I made to you that had to apologize for, but other than that, I never
feel bad, except for when I thought about you dumb fuck in that tiny little bed, spooning, or
however, and I don't even know how you got in it, because the room is the same size as the
bed. So whoever had to get like on the wall, I mean, I guess you're dragging your balls and
dick over one another. I guess over your face. Excuse me. I got to go to the bathroom.
Oh, excuse me. Excuse me. Sorry. Gosh, your whiskers just gave me a whisker burn on my balls.
Oh, I see you shaved it.
Thanks. That's awesome. God, I can, I will, I always, I don't know, is there a Yelp or is there
hotel? Probably. But I wanted to go and say, what a shit hole, why did I struggle saying
shit hole hotel? Yeah, and basically we do have pictures and video of the hotel room,
so those will be supplied for this real. Yeah. And you have, did you have a video of him crawling over
you.
Slow mo.
Yeah.
I got a video of my cheeks through the frosted glass shower door.
Yeah.
So the toilet, where the toilet and shower was this like frosted glass.
Yeah.
And the problem with that is if you touch it, it breaks the refraction.
So you can see through clearly.
So if you smash your wiener against it, you can see it.
Exactly.
Yeah.
So checked in there.
Great.
Awesome.
Night was off to a good start.
Then we went and got a steak dinner.
I forgot what that place was called, but the steak was good.
It should have been called Big Tits.
Yeah.
Steak house.
That's why I put it in my notes because I met my wife.
With her husband.
If I met, I mean, I drooled at her while I stared.
Yeah, man.
I don't know what it was called either, but.
I'm glad we went.
No, that steak was
fucking amazing.
Yeah.
We all got a rib eye
and it was so good.
It was really good.
Yeah.
Best steak I've had in a while.
That would,
that,
it might be the best steak I've ever had.
It was good.
Okay, so then we went.
It was right by Shaken Shack.
So if people want to know in Seattle,
go to Shaken Shacks,
but not to Shaking Shacks
to the steak restaurant right there.
Yeah, you'll find it.
Okay.
So the next day was,
was race day.
So we're off a hot start and we get there.
And every single event, this happens.
It's like, no, you guys will be fine.
You can get in with the camera and the bags.
I mean, I guess it was never in question because people were working on it the whole
time.
Shout out to Neil from Kawasaki.
He's made it happen, got us there.
VIP experience is incredible.
But Supercross is a big event, apparently.
and they got lots of rules
and wherever the f was,
Lumenfield, I think.
They got lots of rules.
Everybody has their jobs to do.
So, yeah, it was not a quick process.
Yeah, I had to fill out about 16.
Connor and I both had to fill out like 16 forms
to get in, social security number.
Taking quizzes on gambling.
Yeah, we had to take a quiz on gambling.
It's like, we're just taking photos.
What is going on?
But finally, it worked out.
Yeah, got in.
Then we got in.
We went straight to the Kawasaki truck, which was pretty cool.
I mean, that thing is dialed in.
Yeah, there's some money in that.
Here's what, here's the coolest thing that I saw.
And I see a lot of comments too.
So it's a smaller group of people that do that than hunt, apparently.
I think it's like 5 million people.
I don't know.
Do motocross?
I don't know.
But it's the number I was told.
There's 14 million license hunters.
So, and I was thinking about it too.
It's like motocross still is like, it's not like there's a track everywhere.
This shit's expensive.
But the people there is like, thanks for coming.
Thanks for helping grow the sport.
Thanks for getting awareness to this.
And I was like, man, this is a lot different than hunting.
Because in hunting, you get crucified for growing the sport.
Yeah.
You're ruining everything.
And their attitude is like, man, thank you.
We want more people doing this.
Even though it can be same barrier to entry, money, opportunity, tracks.
The more people do it, the less chance, if your dream is to be a pro.
Right.
The more people doing it, your odds go down.
They don't care.
They're like, no, we want fucking everybody loving this stuff.
And it's like, that was super refurb.
Yeah. Yeah, I feel like at least in hunting, if you're kind of a greenie and you come in, you get, I don't know, you definitely get made fun of a lot more. But. Or, yeah, I mean, or just don't talk about hunting. Don't. Whatever. Yeah. And then we met. So, I mean, this isn't totally in order. But Garrett, what was Garrett's last name? Marsh Banks. Marsh Banks. Yeah. He rides for Kawasaki. Yeah.
seemed like a super nice guy you talked to him for a while um you got second yeah and the 250 yeah he
good run yeah that was cool to see good race yeah um and then we went over to yamaha and met
brian degan seemed like a super nice guy yeah i mean what i'm super impressed with now i've been
watching all his content and shit i mean i obviously everybody knows him yeah it was i didn't you know
because I haven't been involved.
I didn't know like the whole,
it was metal militia,
Brian Deegan versus Travis Pastrana.
Brian was the bad boy.
Travis was a good guy.
They didn't really,
they had like a rivalry,
good versus bad.
And I heard Brian saying on some podcast,
you know,
Travis didn't party,
didn't get in,
I don't know what he said fights,
but didn't get crazy.
Just was a nice guy.
And Brian was like,
what this guy?
What's wrong with this guy?
Because Brian went hard.
Apparently. Anyway, so they were rivals, X game, competition. But yeah, now, I don't know, whatever. But what I'm, Brian has built an incredible brand. I mean, the Deans. They basically, I mean, I don't know, because so is who mighta say, but they seem bigger than the sport almost. I mean, I didn't know. The only two people I knew before going into it were the Deans and then Jet Loire.
And I knew Travis Pistrana and Ricky Carmichael, but that's, I mean, yeah.
Eli Tomac, I knew him.
Yeah.
Bow Hunter.
But, yeah, Brian, you know, that, that Yamaha truck was, man, it was crazy.
But the crowds there, pretty insane.
Yeah.
My favorite part of the crowds were all the girls with their boyfriends who would leave them
in a second if they got an opportunity.
Normally girls don't, I don't think they go to those by themselves.
So they're always with their boyfriend.
Yeah.
And yeah.
If their boyfriend's not a pro, Super Cross Rider,
you got an uphill battle in that arena.
Because those guys are studs and badasses.
And what I also love about it is I like something where young men are competing,
are fucking sort of ruthless a little bit, but it's hard.
They're training.
there's a lot at stake.
So it's like for young men, I'm like, perfect.
We need this shit.
Yeah.
We need these guys have fire.
And I love to see it.
And I was lucky enough too that when I went over and met Brian,
I hadn't met his son before, but Hayden is, you know, coming up.
He's a star.
And his daughter, obviously, is, she's a NASCAR too.
So the whole family's kicking ass.
But anyway, so I go over there and then the owner of the team,
for Yamaha of that truck was his name's Bobby so it was like oh well Bobby wanted to meet you and so
they're having a meeting back in this back back room there so I'm like oh sweet yeah they said well yeah
he's a character he's you know hardcore I'm like perfect sounds like my guy I'm my kind of guy
and I knew I go back in there and I saw there are some guys I knew and then he's talking to the
writers he's talking to Hayden and then he's talking to the 17 year old it's a pro who won he won
He won that event.
What was his name?
Do you remember?
Hayden got third.
Oh, I didn't know.
He won.
Yeah.
And the other kid,
17-year-old from Australia or New Zealand.
Oh, yeah, he's from Australia.
What was his name?
Or no, he was from New Zealand.
Yeah.
Let's look at out real quick.
Yeah.
I want to get that.
But anyway, they were both sitting in there.
And Bobby, this team owner, was,
I loved it.
I didn't know.
this is how they talk but do you find his name cold davies yeah yeah yes just studs studs so cole
had a great race one um yeah as i said hayden got third he laid his bike down had to come all the way
back from ninth or something like that to get third but uh he's a beast um anyway this guy is
the bobby is like telling him hey you guys just signed new contracts big contracts and he and he goes
you know what that means need to fucking win he was
we're not out here just to show up.
Yeah.
We're here to win.
And I was just like,
God dang.
This is,
I mean,
and he's intense.
And they're just like,
the boys are just looking like,
not saying anything or maybe yes, sir.
But I'm like,
for kids,
17 and 19,
it's millions of dollars on the line.
And it's like,
that's such a huge,
well,
it's not a huge industry
when I talked about like 5 million.
But there are,
the pinnacle of it. Yeah. And there's a lot at stake. And so that was, I got a chance to stay back
in there after the boys left because they had to get ready for the races. But, um, and talk to Bobby and the
other, and the rest of the guys, studs. Just loved it. Yeah. I liked, because, uh, Hayden also laid his
bike down in qualifiers too, but he was burning after he laid it down. I mean, he had the fastest
lap on the track both times. Yeah. To come back. I mean, yeah.
crazy watching him catch up with people and then i like watching him get chippy on the track too they're
kind of hitting each other and there's fire after the race yeah it's good shit no it's i i was super
impressed i was so thankful to be there um just be immersed in that world because we had adam on here
on the podcast you know before we went up there then i got to do his show up there race day live which
i didn't know how popular that was yeah that was pretty sick but uh and adam is
a legend everybody loves him everybody respects him just as i don't know just a badass and just been a
fixture in that industry for a long time so he's so well respected um to do that show was big uh just
i mean be able to talk to everybody and just see the inner workings of that but but what i saw and
i saw when i was watching these clips too i saw brian talking about how uh and he put up a post
I think of his son, and it was like the engagement on that post.
And it got, I can't remember what,
it's like 3.1 million views or something.
And so he's saying something like the sport wins because of this.
You know, like, but to my point is his marketing is bigger than the sport.
And we're talking about that too.
It's just like he's built something so special,
which I'm so impressed with,
that it is hard to,
it's hard to be bigger than what you do.
Yeah.
But he is.
And I heard him talking about it on this old podcast is like from three years ago that he goes,
if you look at my analytics on our channel on what we do, nobody can touch it.
None of these companies can touch what we're doing.
And he's just like, so do want to be involved or not?
Yeah.
You know, and it's like that, having that powers, you know, or that influence is a big deal.
It's a big deal.
also a big deal for the sport too.
When someone's bigger, it's, I don't know, I look at it.
It's kind of similar to what you're doing too is bringing new people in.
It's the only way to get that many new eyes on it, you know?
So, yeah, so we did Race Day Live.
And then we also talked to Will Hun.
Yeah.
Who, I thought that was interesting.
Han, H-A-N.
Yeah.
Yeah.
H-A-H-N or something like that, or H-A-N-H?
I don't know.
But yeah, he's super dialed in too.
Yeah, I thought what was interesting,
kind of what you guys were talking about,
the similarities of like nutrition, fitness, and endurance
with the racers compared to what you do as well.
He had some pretty interesting points.
Yeah, I didn't know that, so those kids,
I don't know not all kids, but most of them don't go too much past young 30s
just because they're so beat up.
and surgeries and broken bones and all sorts of stuff.
But I didn't realize.
So for a 20 minute, whatever,
they usually race for 20 minutes and then it's 20 minutes
and then one more lap, I think is how they do it.
But their heart rates up at like 201 for 20 minutes.
That's how intense that shit is.
That's insane.
Yeah.
So we're looking at when I was back there in that meeting with Bobby
and then with Hayden Deegan and Cole is they have,
they have their practice run
and then they have where the other riders are
on the track compared to where they were
and then they have it ranked like
so the track has six segments
where they ranked in each of those six segments
so interesting yeah so he was saying
you know Hayden needs to get better
and I'm like looking at it going
I mean I don't know I said am I looking at this right
I said doesn't he have the fastest qualifying time
by over a second and he did yeah he's like yeah but he goes but look at i think it was segment six
he was like down mid pack huh he's like that needs to be better because yeah if you look at the overall
thing yeah he was the fastest but where could he improve so they break it all down and then i know we
were just looking at that and you know it's in that one segment where maybe he wasn't at his best
I'm like, do you guys got his heart rate data for going into this segment?
Could, is it just a matter of, because I brought up like, when I used to Elkhunt,
sometimes I'd shoot, I couldn't remember anything.
I couldn't focus.
I couldn't remember what pin I used.
And then I got to a point where, okay, I knew this bowl was coming in.
And I could just be like, consciously just like, relax my shoulders, deep breath, make a perfect shot.
I said, so could he constantly?
Consciously feed his body oxygen going into that deep breath lower that a couple beats his heart rate from 201
Even it got down to like maybe mid one 90s and then he's making better decisions on that segment because when you're fatigued
You're you can't you're not making good decision so would it be something like that and then that could elevate that
So it was just cool looking at I mean they're looking at everything. Yeah, I didn't know that no I did either I had no no clue
but I was fascinated by this.
So yeah, and then just like, how are they getting fueled up going into it?
Because it's no different than an ultra race where you're pushing your body where carbs, calories, salt, whatever, whatever you got to do to focus.
Because really they have, I mean, they're making a lot of split second decisions and they got to be right on.
Yeah.
So, yeah, there's a lot of stake.
But I was super fascinated by all that.
Yeah.
But Will is,
Will is, he was in there too
and he's a master of training,
specificity,
getting those guys at the highest level.
So it was him.
So the guy from South Africa,
another trainer,
just all top of the game there.
Yeah,
that's pretty wild to compare the two,
analyze those.
Watching it from the suite,
you're like,
oh, those guys are going fast.
When we got down into the dirt,
yeah, I know.
They are flying.
Yeah, it was pretty sick.
And they'd come out of a turn and be like, you know, their weight would be a little off.
I'm like, oh, that guy's going to come off his bike.
No.
No.
Right back into it.
Yeah.
There's a lot of little things that I notice just because I don't know.
But like all of them going, like say if you're, if they're going hard to the right, they always bring their foot off the peg.
Yeah.
And like, but it never touches the ground.
So I'm like, is that a balance thing?
Why are they doing that?
because that movement is extra movement.
And then also I know they, you know, like Eli, he broke his leg.
So I'm like, what is that?
Maybe it saves them sometimes.
Maybe having a foot there, maybe, but they're going so fast.
I'm like, if they're never using it.
It's a good point.
I saw Hayden touch his one time and it like hit the ground and flung backwards because
they're going so quick.
Right.
So I'm like, I was just looking at just because I don't know anything about it.
Yeah, right.
So sometimes you have a different perspective just because you don't know.
And I never had never got the chance to ask anybody, but I want to.
I want to go to more super fascinated by people at the top of their game.
And those guys are at the tip of the spear in Supercross.
And it's a big show.
They, you know, do a great.
They make money.
They elevate the sport.
They're professionals.
I just love to see it.
Yeah.
I loved it.
Got to give a big shout out to Jose.
Jose.
God, dang.
What a stud.
Yeah.
What a stud.
So he was, I don't know who the fuck he worked for.
I couldn't figure it out, to be honest.
But he told me BBC, and I don't know.
But all I know is we were up in the suite and, you know, Brian was up there.
Neil was up there.
It was like a VIP thing, right?
And then Jose, who's sitting there with his buddies.
he comes up and said,
doesn't know me.
He's like,
would you want to go down onto the,
it's not the field?
I don't know what the track, I guess.
And I'm like, yeah.
And so I was super appreciative
because he didn't know us,
but he was willing.
And I told him when we were down there,
I said, thank you for, you know,
giving us this opportunity
because it's so much different
than being up in the suite.
And I said,
you didn't need to.
You're sitting there with your buddies.
most people just sat there and kept bullshitting because your job isn't to entertain me.
Right.
But he took it upon himself to take us down there a couple times and it changed everything.
Yeah.
Changed the whole experience.
But yeah, Jose, love that guy.
Took awesome photos.
Send us everything.
One of the nicest people I've ever met.
Yeah, he was super nice.
And he also brought kids.
Satoa.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, no, he also had some kids come and meet people, too, that...
Oh, really?
Just to be nice.
But, yeah, no, the Seahawks' right guard is what he is.
Super nice guy.
So we got to hang out with him, too.
Yeah, he was super nice.
Oh, my gosh.
So down to earth, just like, such a regular guy.
Oh, I know.
It started, like, the last six games last year for the Seahawks.
But just a stud.
Yeah.
Some girl was like, oh, can I take a picture with him?
He was, like, holding the door.
And I was like, no.
I'm sorry.
Yeah.
Okay.
The other thing I kind of wanted to talk about is the similarities between, and we kind of touched on it, but bow hunting and supercross is niche sports.
Kind of, it almost feels like there's a weight on the athletes or with hunting the hunter's shoulders to, you know, celebrate the sport and the culture and kind of carry that torch to the next generation.
So while you were there, we obviously talked about the Deans, how they're doing that really well.
But was there anyone else you were impressed with?
All those kids.
I mean, they're all so young and such badass.
Garrett, yeah, he's doing a good job.
Yeah, I mean, all the big writers, because it's like, I don't know how it works,
but it seems like of the however many writers, I guess probably anybody could win on any given night,
but not really.
Usually I think it's about maybe five different guys
actually have a decent chance
because they're just so good.
Yeah.
So the rest of the field,
I think, yeah, I don't know.
Maybe I have it wrong,
but it seems like they're stars for a reason
because they're always up there
and getting the big finishes
and putting on a show and whatever.
So it seems like all those top writers,
kind of everybody knows.
Other people I hadn't really hurt.
I'm not involved in the sport.
But yeah, I don't know.
I mean, somebody who knows it better than me
could probably weigh in on that.
Yeah, true.
There is, I guess, one other kid in there
that I knew before, and he's from Springfield.
Oh, yeah, yeah, Max.
Yeah, no, I know.
Yeah, I knew him.
I was keeping track on him during the race.
Yeah, I don't think he did too well, but it's okay.
No, I mean, and that's what I say. It's like, even if you're not winning, just to be, just to be involved, you're a stud.
Pretty big deal. So, yeah, I mean, I think there was, so if he was in the finals, that's the top 22 riders, I guess, well, on the West Coast, because I think there's West and East. So if you're in there, come on. It's a big deal. You're a stud. And he wasn't last. So even better. No, no, he wasn't last. Yeah, pretty cool. Yeah, I know. I wish I would, I would have got a chance.
to say hi. I got, and I don't care whether they're winning or even if they are last,
they're studs, because that shit looks so hard and so competitive and so fast and the stakes of being
injured. It's like, I can't, you can't throw shade on anybody. I know. It was like, I don't know.
The guys that were there that maybe were retired or whatever, they were all so pretty beat up.
Yeah. It's like, their bodies are just. It's a rough, rough business. Yeah, no shit.
That's probably, I don't know, that's got to be like, yeah, yes, you have to be good.
But chills also have to find a way to get lucky and stay healthy.
Because if you're hurt and you can't race, how do you build this following?
How do you build this name?
How do you build these earnings and these opportunities?
So staying healthy is probably one of the biggest challenges.
Yeah, it's got to be because to get better, you also have to put yourself in the line of getting hurt again.
I was, and I was saying I was watching some of that old Deegan stuff.
And like, he used to have to practice that shit with no foam pits.
So he said he broke so many bones just practicing.
Because you can't, you can't expect to be able to do it if you can't practice it.
No.
So you can't just show up to X games and do a 360.
That can't be the first time you've done it.
But trying to do that, and he landed that, I watched that.
he landed at 360 at X games and he like did the 360 and the ramp kind of came down and it was right on the edge of it but he landed right on the edge of it and luckily his back wheel went over the edge and his front wheel and he was able to kind of muscle the bike around because he under rotated and he because it landed on the edge it saved him holy shit otherwise he just would have went boom boom and who knows what the hell would have broke well you even
those guys, they land that shit and they still break their wrists or ankles, you know, and they'd land it.
I know.
It's rough.
I couldn't do it.
I just take little pictures from the sidelines.
Yeah.
I mean, so much respect for those guys.
And then it's just like anything.
It reminds, you know, bow hunting.
So you say, bow hunting is hard anyway.
And you're probably not going to kill anything.
So does that mean you suck?
No.
It just means it's really hard.
Yeah.
But you might suck too.
But so to get to where you're like killing, say, a bull every single year, you're separated from the crowd right there.
And then to get to where, okay, now I'm going to kill a big bull every year.
Well, it's no different than kind of what they do in that comparison regard where everybody can do it.
everybody can get a bike everybody can get all the same gear everybody can do whatever but what separates
those guys from the best so we saw the best yeah and i don't i don't know enough about it to know
what separates them but i know that hunting has the same same kind of that's not criteria but um
trajectory like it's you start off you just love to do it if you get it get out the
and find some success, then you're already in the 10%?
Yeah.
90% fail.
10% are successful.
And usually it's the same 10% every year.
So if you're that guy, you're in the top category of the space.
Yeah.
I mean, after watching that too, it was even more mind-blowing that Ricky Carmichael did it 10 years
in a row.
One 10 years.
I don't know how to fuck.
Yeah, because how do you get luckies?
I mean, just to stay healthy.
Yeah.
I mean, I'm not trying to take away from skill, but just how do you stay?
stay out of wrecks. Yeah, I know. And stay healthy to win 10 in a row. I don't know because,
I mean, the launch and into that first turn is a mosh pit. No, I mean, it's just coming off.
I mean, gate drops and it is balls out to that corner. Nuts. And I don't know how. So,
because Hayden seemed like he was right up near the front each time. How? I don't know, but he was
his reaction. He was the first through the Turner and qualifying. Yeah. I got that picture of it. That's
him in the front. Right. I know. So is it.
And that's a big part of how the race is going to go.
Yeah.
I mean, if you can start off in the front, okay, then, yeah, I mean, because when he laid it down and he was back to ninth or whatever, I mean, you got to pass all those guys again.
It's not like they're letting up.
No.
They're not letting you get by them.
So it is, you know, then he got in and had that little kerfuffle with the other rider.
Yeah.
on the one corner.
I ended up slapping his helmet.
I can't remember what his name was.
But yeah, I mean, so much from the start, yeah, can kind of dictate how the race is
going to go.
So how does Hayden get that jump on everybody?
I was kind of fascinated about that.
Like, is that just reaction time or what?
Yeah.
Or the bike or what?
I don't know.
Because I also wondered with the time trials when, so Hayden had like a 47 second lap.
So does he get a specific position in the launch or does he get to choose?
Is it like that inside spot is the best?
Yeah, I don't know.
Or is it this, maybe it's the spot closest to the corner.
I don't know.
Yeah, of course, we don't know shit about this.
So it's like take any of what we're saying,
fucking don't get super upset because it'd be like somebody who's never bow hunting
critiquing what I do.
I'd be like, would you shut the fuck out?
So that's what these guys are going to be saying right now.
Well, we're not critiquing.
No, no, no.
We're just, I don't know what we're doing.
We're shit talking.
I'm not even shit talking.
I'm just like trying to figure it out.
Yeah, shit talking in the way that just, you know, a bunch of nonsense is coming out of our holes.
I want to understand it more.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful to anybody.
And I don't, maybe somebody, maybe anybody could win any night.
Maybe I'm talking on my ass.
But, um.
Well, if people know, throw it down on the comments.
Yeah.
Oh, there you go.
Give it smash that like, buddy.
Hit that like button, subscribe.
Real trap shit.
Yeah, I have no idea how all this works, but I'm
Yeah, very thankful that everybody's so welcoming and
Just you know was willing to share their world with us so
So I don't know, they're just so gracious and man, it was pretty cool, but yeah, I'm I want to understand it more
I want to go to more I want to get some more I mean I want to get Eli I want to get I want to get I
Brian's coming on.
Yeah.
Pretty sweet.
Yeah.
Travis, love to get you on here.
But yeah, I mean, I just want to know more about it.
And if we can shine a spotlight on what they're doing and what badasses these guys are, then that's what I want to do.
Yeah.
You heard it here first, folks.
That's first take news.
Thank you.
I think that was it for the event.
So coming up this week, got a couple things.
What?
Well, one on Saturday you have shotgun.
Yeah, today I walked eight miles.
So that's how my training went today.
So we talked about all these high-level athletes.
I'm the opposite of that.
I'm some old piece of shit man.
God.
Yeah, so thinking of how long it took me to walk eight miles,
and then I got to run 31 on Saturday.
I was thinking how long will it take me to walk 31?
Should be good.
We have a podcast this week too, right?
Do we?
Let's check.
We thought we did?
I don't think so.
Oh, no, we don't.
I'm on vacation.
I thought you said you had someone.
Oh, Shelby Hoolhands next week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, I got to get in shape for her too.
She's a badass.
She can run.
Yeah.
She can run.
But no, that's coming up.
Yeah, got the book.
A bunch of book bullshit I got to do.
The book's coming out May 6th.
Yeah, get the people excited about it.
I mean, the book's going to be good.
The bullshit associated, not good.
I'm fucking really burnt out already.
But I think it's just because I'm just obsessing,
or not obsessing, but I got this race hanging over my existence.
I don't know why I said I'd do.
race trying to think of what it
oh it's just that little
turkey trot fun run
250 mile or oh that's the one right
okay just that one yeah yeah yeah that'll be
probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life
so I just thinking about that every day
wondering
how I can get
either can I die before then
or somehow get younger stronger faster
and better at running
Damn, it was almost that Kanye song.
What?
Better, faster, stronger.
Is that the name of it?
You've been trying to use some fucking song
for every reel you sent me lately.
Is that Travis Scott?
That's the first time I've used that song.
No, he used it on another one
that I never looked at that you fucked up.
Well, remember the second grade graphics?
I didn't use Feen on that song.
Oh, it wasn't?
What was that one?
That was Kendrick.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
So you hated that reel, too?
Yeah.
Well, I didn't use it.
Did I?
No, the Supercross one.
Oh.
I mean, it's all right.
Well, I think that's it then.
Shout out to Neil Storce.
Thank you for the awesome experience at Supercross.
A lot of people reaching out.
Yeah, I loved it.
Washogel, we're going to be back up there this summer, I think.
Well, I know Brian's coming in for that.
So I think that's when he's going to do the podcast.
Yeah, I've heard good things about watching.
It's a big tons of people here go to it.
Yeah.
Big camping thing, I guess.
It's like a music festival.
Oh, yeah, a bunch of dirty people from camping.
Dirty feet, hairy legs, and hairy armpits.
I'll be there.
Yeah, those country music festivals, that's the only thing.
It's like they're so dirty.
Yeah.
You know, that dust and it's in the summer and fucking people are just drunk and sweating.
That's the thing.
You're so drunk you don't care.
Yeah, but if people aren't like staying there for three days and coming in just for a day, they care.
Those people care.
There's shit talkers.
So does none of it counts?
No, none of it's real.
Actually, this is all AI anyways, so.
Yeah, that's right.
Hey, yeah, Macy did pump out the AI graphic.
Action figures?
Yeah.
I know.
I kind of think we should make that.
I look life size.
Yeah, it looks like, it looks like I'm standing there in real life.
Well, we got the, what are those called?
Little bobbleheads, we got.
Double-ended dildos.
Yeah, Funko pops.
Funko pops.
We got Gid Larry Funko Pops.
So we need a Funko Pop, Cam Haines.
I'd like to see a try.
Yeah.
Let's see.
I think.
Did you, oh wait, did you tell your joke already?
He told his factoid.
You said you had some.
Yeah, you said you had facttoids.
What was my factoid?
Factoids.
It seemed like it was related to the...
You said boner.
I know.
Was it, was it boner related?
Because I thought I was thinking of, I mean, the rabbit, the rabbit factoid was pretty popular.
Yeah, that was a big hit.
That was a big hit.
Actually, no, because any reel we put out sucks.
Yeah, just like the one I set you.
Yeah, I mean, I didn't post it, but obviously it sucks.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I don't know.
I mean, it's, we have good reels.
They just, Instagram just like, nah, we're not going to pump that one.
Instagram hates us.
We're not going to pump that one up.
Yeah.
Anyway, all right.
Well, that's all I had.
Stay tuned for something else.
Damn, are we going to have to do a wellness check on you later?
It's not like you're going to tie yourself off.
I'm tired.
I'll do it.
I'm tired.
My shitty run.
I know.
I'm going to hold my breath until I pass out.
It's my shitty run.
It's amazing that a good run has you in a good mood.
A shitty run has you in a shitty mood.
Is that amazing?
I need to start running.
That's what I need to do.
What I was thinking about is like on my shotgun run,
because I was thinking I was underfueled today
because I was like been obsessed with trying to get lighter.
So I forgot, didn't want to eat, then felt like shit.
So then I was thinking about for that race,
I'm buying a box of old fashioned glazed donuts.
And I am going to be calories.
up. Those are so good. I know. That's the best. I'm going to have those shoved in my shorts.
Without your prison pocket? No, I'll just have them right over my shaft.
I should be able to get three or four. The old donut holder. So then I can just slide one off,
pop it in, and we're good to go for another lap.
That would be crazy to see that
And then if I have one left afterwards
What's that game where like remember at the fair where you try to win a
Stuffed Animal?
If you get the ring over the bottle.
Right.
So we could do that afterwards.
Dang it.
There you go.
You won a stuffed animal.
All right.
And we'll wrap this up like always.
Sorry, Macy.
Keep hammering.
Ha ha ha ha.
