Starting point is 00:00:00 All right, hunters, listen up. Honey season's here, and the last thing you want is to tap out before the action starts. That's why I'm dialing in with Mountain Ops Ignite. Ignite isn't your average energy drink. It delivers smooth, long-lasting energy, no jitters, plus mental clarity that cuts through the backcountry fog. Powered by amino acids and brain blend of neutropics and 200 milligrams of clean caffeine, ignite keeps you sharp and pushing hard mile after mile. Whether you're glassing ridges, packing in before or don or heading to elk camp, one scoop in your bottle, and you're locked in. It's my go-to, every hunt, every hike, every long drive. And Mountain Ops isn't just about performance. They're mission-driven. Every purchase helps feed families in need through Operation Conquer Hunger.
Starting point is 00:00:46 Right now, you can get 20% off your purchase. Just go to Mountainops.com and use code cam at checkout. This season, don't settle for sluggish. Ignite the hunt. When I'm glassing ridges for elk or mule deer, I can't afford to miss any movement. That's why for the past two seasons, I've been using six-hour binos and I absolutely love them. These optics change the game. The binos I've been using are the Zulu image stabilizing. That means no more shaky glass after a long hike, no more struggling to hold steady after you've humped it up a hill. With image stabilization, you lock in and pick apart the country in a way that just isn't possible with standard glass. I found more animals and saved more time because of these binos plain and simple.
Starting point is 00:01:29 And here's the kicker. Optics companies almost never offer discounts, but Sig is giving the listeners of this podcast 10% off. Just use code cam at checkout. So if you're serious about glassing and want the same edge I've had for the past two seasons, head to SigSour.com, grab a pair of Zulu Binoes,
Starting point is 00:01:49 and use code Cam for 10% off. Sig SikSour Zulu Binos. See more, hunt harder. All right. Saying the way that I move it's so reckless. That is a part of my mind I've been blessed with. Giving my blood so I am relentless. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Keep hammering collective. Okay. Khammering collective. Shit Talkers Weekly. 17. 16. No. 17.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Okay. Yes. Yes. And I know you're probably wondering. why does James have tape on his classes? That's because I snapped. A big load just drilled. Yeah, remember when we were talking about
Starting point is 00:02:48 a load can shoot at 27 miles an hour? Those saved your life. It would have took one. To the dome, dude. Yeah. Big hard load. I had a kidney stone in it. Well, I'm wearing these because we're going to the fucking Oscars.
Starting point is 00:03:13 We are? I don't, probably. I mean, we got nominated. No, no, no. We're nominated. Not binary. We're nominated for an Academy Award nomination. It's a start.
Starting point is 00:03:27 It's a fucking start. We've been, this is big news, everybody. We have been nominated for a nomination. I'm going to put it in my bio. I like it. Yeah. I like it. Hey, so it was a message to the academy.
Starting point is 00:03:41 So, that's pretty. So I'm, I'm just getting ready. This is what I'm wearing right here. Oh, nice. We got the, this is a,
Starting point is 00:03:49 oh, look at that. Gee Williams lore hoodie. Nice. Because it's all about the lore. Yeah. And then I got my new Roka. These are like the styling glasses, I think.
Starting point is 00:03:59 And then this is a new. Also with, I think we got. got a new new shorts. If you're not watching, you should be. I had to stand on the edge of the chair to do. Yeah, whatever. If you're not watching, he just pulled his dick.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Hylopter. I'm wearing a little pecker club. Yeah, that's good. I know. Fitting. Someone's got to be honest. Yeah. I was showing these new shorts, but I have a whole cut in them for the easy access to the helicopter.
Starting point is 00:04:40 Those are aftermarket. It's like cutting the sleeves off the shirt. You just need a little crotch hole. We should do a video, a tutorial on how to do that too. Well, I wrote a joke about my truck not starting. Oh, and I went to kill Tony, and I thought I was going to get the chance for the... Oh. I went to the...
Starting point is 00:05:01 Oh, man. Supposed we're not supposed to talk about it until it airs. Oh. But there's... I can't. I want to say something, he said, because it's fucking hilarious. How much later does it come out when it's taped? A couple weeks?
Starting point is 00:05:20 Oh, really? Yeah. Damn. Yeah, I don't know, but it was pretty funny. Yeah, well, we can't talk about my family listens, I guess. Does that make you sad? No. they're all mad at me.
Starting point is 00:05:40 So I didn't, this is big news. Your mom listened, I heard. Yeah. Is that right? And my uncle listens. Shout out Ronnie. Hi, Ronnie. Everything we said, it's just shit talking.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yeah. It's not real. Not real. We can be held accountable. I didn't even know James actually had a family, a real family. I was born in a lab. He was born in a woo-ha. on the petri dish.
Starting point is 00:06:10 That's why I have both genitals of cum and bat piss or whatever the hell it was. Whatever Fauci came up with. That's a, is it called an idiom? That's a classic idiom. Sure. I know, like, you know, like what came first, the chicken or the egg? What came first, the cum or the bat piss? Yeah, so it was like, I didn't even know that your family was
Starting point is 00:06:36 real. I thought it was just like when kids make up stories like when they're in grade school and stuff and it's like my dad's an astronaut. I thought it was just that. Your dad's a fucking garbage man. Which actually those guys make pretty good money. It's not a bad career these days. No shit on garbage men.
Starting point is 00:07:08 No. Who's going to, I don't want a bunch of garbage at my house. I mean, I appreciate those guys. Yeah, what are the fucking astronauts doing? Yeah, nothing. Just fucking Katie Perry, just whatever she does. She's an astronaut, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:23 They're just acting like they went to the moon. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, my joke from my truck starting is I was going to say, my truck wouldn't start, and then you were going to say, what's wrong with it? And I was going to say, I don't know, I'm not the guy who fixes the truck. I'm the guy who gets my guy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Yeah, okay. Let's try that. Where's your truck at? I thought I didn't even know you were here. Yeah, well, it wouldn't start. It wouldn't start. What was I supposed to say? What's wrong with it?
Starting point is 00:08:02 Oh, yeah. What's wrong with it? I don't know. I'm not the guy who fixes the truck. I'm the guy. I was really in my character, too. Shit. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:19 That was okay. Hey, I noticed your truck wasn't here. Where is it? Oh, I went out. It wouldn't start. What's wrong with it? We're going to have to work on these stuff. I think we're making it through that one.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I was really selling it too. Okay. Into some real news and topic, well, not news, but topics. I posted a couple days ago, maybe a week ago, while we were traveling, a story about babies on planes.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Oh, yeah? And I said, if you're a parent and you have a child, two years or younger on a plane, no, you don't. Right, not allowed. You either have to give up the baby or the ticket. Right.
Starting point is 00:09:08 That seems reasonable. Yeah. Well, apparently I pissed off a large group of people, moms, parents, and my first hater. You got a hater? My first real hater. Really? This guy is insane.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Oh, right. So I'm not going to say his name because that's what he wants. Yeah. How does it feel? It feels good. And I like responding to him. Okay. Let's hear it.
Starting point is 00:09:37 First of all, he said, boss man, eat a dick. Okay. He goes, long story short, you're some kid bitching about life and never lived it. Then, of course, he said, but I welcome you all down here in Texas anytime. I said, you're just some old guy bitching about some young kid, bitching. about life, I guess somebody's always bitching. That seems, that's good. That's a good response.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Then he goes, this is a good one. Look, boss man. Oh, shit. You got to go to it. I called him Brother Bear. Okay. Okay. He says, look, boss, man, you're more influential than me.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Reason why I commented back is because some young kid will probably think your comment or thought is cool. No non-parent has the PTSD about their kid flying on a plane. Boss man, I wish everyone the best of luck, but I will call a spade a spade, just asking you to text your boss, Mr. Haynes, before talking shit in public. Okay. So now I hope you expect me to text you every time I'm going to say something in public. Yeah, I have to approve it for sure. Yeah. And just like, we'll tweak a few words and stuff. Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Anyways, he responded to the story about the bow hunter and said, I'll watch it after
Starting point is 00:11:00 Sunday Night Football. And I said, cool, just remember it's made by some kid who doesn't know shit about life. But does no shit
Starting point is 00:11:09 about making good films. What little does he know I'm nominated for a nomination of the Academy Awards. Yeah. What about that, boss man? So if you're listening,
Starting point is 00:11:20 because I know you are because haters are always the biggest fans, go f*** yourself. But it's also all love. It's all love. Yeah. It's all love.
Starting point is 00:11:30 I did say that at the end of my messages. I said, it's all love. Yeah. No, I mean, it's just fun to, I mean, if everybody says, hey, everyone, have a great day, love and honor. How boring would social media be? No, I've got to have hot takes. Well, here's the funny part is after I posted that next flight, I sat in the same row as a baby who would not stop crying. So I got, there you go. My karma. You get that. Yeah. That's what you get yeah yeah i also had uh in it well so i think the washington post is doing an article or i know they are doing an article on social media social media influence on hunting oh so yeah yeah so they mentioned they talked to somebody that might be on the other side of the aisle of what i do and they wanted to get my
Starting point is 00:12:29 opinion and that person like gave them my name sorry we can't include everybody in on that story i just told but stay tuned maybe they'll be more later yeah if it does come out we'll talk more about it well speaking of haters we released um the podcast with cody debtweiler yeah and there are some people in there that are angry because of his genre of videos yeah and i'm like a role the role model yeah the role model for kids? I don't even know. I will say I haven't watched well I mean I thought he's just his name was whistling diesel so it's not like I didn't know his last name. Oh yeah exactly. I knew Cody but so I don't know a ton of what he's done but it's like what a lot of those YouTube kids do. They're doing fun stuff and filming it. They're not hurting anything, right? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Maybe a car. Maybe I am not giving credit. to how impressionable kids are. But like, do you know what kind of shit is on the internet? That's, I mean, this is pretty harmless. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:38 I mean, I watch people get shot and get hit with bats. There's worse things out there. Way worse. Yeah. And you're worried about some kid that's not hurting anyone, just making fun, like,
Starting point is 00:13:52 just making content and kicking ass. Yeah. I, you know, and he's seemed like a super nice kid, Yeah. First time I ever met him, but so nice. He seemed, I mean, he was really welcoming to us. And I don't see a ton of harm in his videos.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Actually, I see none unless you're a grumpy person. Is that guy from Texas? Was a boss man? Yeah, I was a brother bear. Brother bear? I'm boss man. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:18 I mean, I do, people are looking for things to get upset about because it gives them purpose, I guess, in their life. They're like, what can I be mad about today? Yeah, I just don't look at things in that lens, I guess. Yeah, that guy, I stopped responding. Then he sent me like 20 messages and videos and pictures of his kids at the rodeo. And I'm like, oh, my God. What?
Starting point is 00:14:43 You guys are tight now? Or what was the point? Oh, because he's got kids and you're talking shit about kids. Yeah, I guess. I don't know. But I'm like, dude. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Whatever. It's not that serious. It's just talking shit about. kids on a plane. It's shit talkers. It's all love. It's just, yeah. We can't circle back to our Emmy nominated nominated for a nomination. Right. So what's your, right. So let's get to series business. Yeah. The Bow Hunter. What's your, how is it being received? What are your thoughts on it? Tell me, tell me about it. Um, it's being received well. Plenty of people trying to catch me slack in and blow and smoke up my ass, but I won't accept it.
Starting point is 00:15:27 What? Like comments? Yeah. Compliments? Yeah. Get those out of here. No, it seems people liked it. Yeah. I've seen a lot of positive. Is it Academy Award worthy? Absolutely not. Absolutely. Best sound design. That's for Mario.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Yeah. Mario Renegade gave a best sound design vote today, I think. Well, thank you, Mario. I guess I will forgive the last haircut. We haven't forgot it. No. But we're moving past it. Yes. And your positive feedback helps.
Starting point is 00:16:07 Yeah. Right. And Mario, I love you. Will I let you touch my hair again? I don't know. I think it was just a miscommunication. It was definitely a miscommunication.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Yeah. Most of that, well, I think all of that falls onto my shoulders. Yeah. He does, I mean, he's done a good job on mine
Starting point is 00:16:27 and a lot of other people's hair. So maybe he's just your, hair and head. Yeah. I do have some crazy cowlicks. And yeah, let it be known Mario is a great barber.
Starting point is 00:16:36 No, I love Renegade. I am bad at describing what I want. No, the feedback on the movie, everything, well, I'm sure I've seen some hate,
Starting point is 00:16:46 but most of it's been positive. Yeah, I've seen some hate. Some people talking about your, you know, a social media hunter, which I would think with that, they probably didn't watch it.
Starting point is 00:16:58 They probably did watch it. Well, that doesn't. They didn't listen to it. We know how the haters work. Yeah. They watch everything. I don't know. But yeah, that was frustrating.
Starting point is 00:17:09 I don't understand where the hate was coming from. They're balls deep on the hate. Okay. Now we can be, we can get to something of substance. Oh, good. Cactus Jack. Yeah. Just got back.
Starting point is 00:17:24 How was it? It was. It was, I was stressed out because I wanted everybody. It was my week. at cactus jack so of course i want to kill a big buck but but um more important than that was having everybody else be successful and that was stressful because a bow hunting wild animals is not easy and then you know jelly roll being you know first time bow hunter had a bow for about six months he's a good really good shot but shooting out of a blind out of a little window sitting down low light
Starting point is 00:18:02 These deer are close, so they're super locked in on everything. Not easy. No. Not easy. But got the shit done. Yeah. And it was an amazing week. Jelly killed a great, perfect first buck.
Starting point is 00:18:18 A nice 10 point. Rihanna killed like a 160 last morning. Great job on that. That was a, there's actually a buck that me and Jelly had in. And it was I ficked it up because it came in. it wasn't the target buck there was like a big probably like over 170 this one was 160 but a big 10 and it came in and I arranged it and is at 26 which this is where I screwed up I could not remember if that was jelly roll's first pin or second pin or where to hold it because I was like most
Starting point is 00:18:56 of the shots I was hoping he's going to take we're going to be 20 yards and under hold that 20 yard pin on the longs and let it go. And then 26. And I'm just like, so Buck was broadside, not for long, but he was broadside. Perfect. Perfect angle. And I was sitting there. I'm like, okay.
Starting point is 00:19:14 So I think he even came to full drawn. I'm like, didn't know whether they hold the first pin high, use the second pin. And I was just like, can't shoot. Yeah. I just could not. I just did not feel good about it's like so many other variables. and then that one, I just didn't know where to have them hold on. I didn't want, you know, wounding an animal is terrible.
Starting point is 00:19:38 It hurts. You feel, you know, bad about it. I didn't want to play a part in that just by telling him to use the wrong pan. So I had to let him let up. And then it worked out good because then he killed a perfect first buck. Rihanna killed that buck. It was great. Brigham killed a buck.
Starting point is 00:19:55 And then also another big time wrestler, or Drew, he killed a nice buck. I don't think I could be wrong, but him and jelly roll are like enemies. Yeah. So I don't know if we're supposed to talk about like them. No, they were fighting the whole time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:12 They hated each other. Yeah, it was crazy. It was like, you know, we were trying to have to keep them separated a little bit because at dinner they kept, you know, talking shit to each other. And so, yeah, no, they hate, they definitely hate each other. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Definitely. And it's all real. Oh. Oh, man, is terrible. Yeah, they actually got into it a few times. Yeah. Yeah. So, but anyway, they both killed good bucks.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Everybody killed, so it couldn't have been better. It was a good trip. Yeah, it was great. Something else had happened, which was incredible. Well, a couple other things, but one of them was jelly roll ran his first 10K. He did. Insane. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:51 It was insane. He did great. I mean, ran the whole time. Yeah. I know people that are, you have no excuse now. You have no excuse. This is kind of what I said on Rogan the other day is jelly roll. Like anybody who has an excuse, usually is just one of the things he overcame.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Drugs, that stops a lot of people. Number one. Obviously, that's terrible. Incarcerated, been in jail, been a, oh, you're a felon for a good amount of time. 15 years or 10 years or something like that. He was that too. Overcame that. overweight, very obese, 540 pounds.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Oh, you're overweight a little bit? Okay, so is he. Yeah. What else was it? I know there's something else. Overweight, incarcerated, drugs, uh, maybe that's a big,
Starting point is 00:21:49 maybe those are the three big ones. What else stops people? Um, I mean, didn't, you know, obviously didn't come from money or anything. You know, so no, like, real advantage. The music industry is incredibly competitive. Yep.
Starting point is 00:22:07 It is hard breaking through. Yeah, made it as an artist. Made it as an artist, like trying to figure out what to do after being in jail for this whole time. Oh, bow hunt. That was it. Yeah. Can't rifle hunt because he's a felon.
Starting point is 00:22:20 Took on bow hunting, which is a very physical endeavor and is doing all of it. Yeah. All of it. At 41 years old. running at 10K, obviously not in jail, he's, you know, reformed, obviously not using drugs, and now bow hunting.
Starting point is 00:22:37 So any of those challenges people, you know, think that it's too big to overcome, he's overcome all of them. He's a different fucking person. Yeah. It's incredible. So, yeah, I mean, as we were talking about, is I think, you know, or Joe said this,
Starting point is 00:22:53 I don't want to take words out of his mouth, but he said that he thinks jelly roll have the biggest impact on society of almost anyone because of his celebrity status and everyone loves him. It was nobody's alienated like, I can't stand this guy. Like this. You know, like everybody usually has like some groups love him, some hate him. But universally loved because he's such a good person. And then had to people related to him because either they're overweight or they've had a criminal past or they've had these challenges, they've had to overcome. And he gives them hope.
Starting point is 00:23:30 So it could be like he could be the most influential person of our time because of social media, because of his circumstance, and because of everything he's overcome being 540 pounds, which he told a story. I was on Rogan's podcast where one time when he was so heavy and not strong, he was laying on his arm and thought he might. He could not, was not strong enough to get off his arm in bed. So to come from that to running a 10K and killing a buck with a bow, are you kidding me?
Starting point is 00:24:07 We're talking about the, that's a 0.00001%. I mean, it's unbelievable what he's done. And so to share that and be part of that and to see that, to see him running, because that 10K was not like even on like a bike. path or a trail or a road. It was sandy, hilly, hot that day. He's fucking, he did amazing. Yeah, and I think the thing is, like, when most people do something so unbelievable,
Starting point is 00:24:35 you get haters, right? It's like, people like, oh, that's not believable. There must be something to it. But he's so open, and he's such a nice guy that it's like, you really don't have any choice, but to be like, this guy's the best. There's people just fucking idiots who would be like, There's no way he ran six point.
Starting point is 00:24:55 It was 6.4 miles is what he ran. So it's over a 10K, 10K 6.2. There's no way he ran a 10K at that pace with that form. So it's like, shut the fuck up. He did. We were there. I was every step I was there, saw everything. So what are you basing this off of?
Starting point is 00:25:15 Some clip that actually shows him running good. He's saying that didn't happen. So, I mean, there are going to be some idiots always, but 99.9% of the people out there to, I guess you're given fractions or what are you, you said zero zero zero. So I'll take the other part of that. Yeah. And say that percentage of people love him. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, I can't, people aren't going to believe us or whatever. The haters are never going to believe anything. But he is one of the most genuine down to earth, nice guys.
Starting point is 00:25:52 It can't believe it. You cannot make a better person. I mean, he treats everybody the same. You know, we would be sitting outside and, you know, he'd be getting ready to shoot his bone and come up and give me a big hug. And it's like, yeah, yeah, I mean. It was Truitt's birthday when we were back there. Yeah. He talked to him on his birthday.
Starting point is 00:26:11 And he just, you know, he was talking about setting goals and going big. And he told us truth the story about, you know, there's a time where he had to make a decision on whether to try to sell. out like a smaller venue, like a two or three or four thousand venue or go for the big eight to 12,000. And it would be, it'd feel better to say sold out on a smaller one than maybe have empty seats with the bigger one. But he's like always like go for the bigger one. And that's just how it worked. Go for, go for big. And so he's told Truitt, he's like, that's what you do. You go for these big goals. Sometimes you don't get them. Sometimes maybe you wouldn't sell out that 10 or 12, but you have eight and that was double what if you would have went to the small venue the four yeah double
Starting point is 00:26:56 what there it's not sold out but it's double the people and it's double the you know entertainment and double impacting that many people and yeah maybe you didn't reach the big the selling out the 12000 but that's okay because you went big and so he gave true at that talk and it's just like he has these stories for everybody and and he care he's like it's not just like throw away stories just to by time. It's like he cares. He's invested in these people and these stories and he cares. And it's really unbelievable. It gives me, it makes me want to be a better person for sure. Yeah. One thing that kind of, I'm not surprised because of who he is as a person, but impressed me was, okay, here's somebody like jelly roll. He's clearly going to be busy. You know,
Starting point is 00:27:39 somebody that is of his status and all the things he's doing and all the success he has. He sits down and watches our legacy at Ledfield film. Then on top of that, that he notices details. And then when talking about it, he compliments me on them, things that regular people wouldn't pick up on. And it's like, this is weeks after he's watched it, months after he's watched it. And I'm like, you really mean that.
Starting point is 00:28:04 This is a real compliment. Yeah. You know, and it's like someone that I hate compliments is like, I'm going to take that exactly as it is because I know he means it. You know, he's gaining nothing from that. No. I was just like, damn, I got to, I'm a nobody and I can't. can't do the same for other people in my life.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Yeah. It should give us all, it should inspire us all to raise the bar and treat people better. Be more loving, be more supportive. Just be there. You just want to, it makes you want to be just, I mean, I always feel like I want to be there for others, but it makes me want to do more.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Yeah. I mean, I think that's what it, I don't know. Yeah. He's an amazing person. So Brother Bear, you can take something. from that. And Jellyroll hates kids too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:53 He hates kids on planes. He was telling us. Yeah, on his private jet, those damn babies crying. Obviously, he doesn't hate babies. No. That's just shit talkers weekly material. Hoyt began with a dream and a simple desire. Create the best bow hunting and target archery equipment possible.
Starting point is 00:29:12 And since 1931, that is exactly what they have been doing. I'm skeptical every year that this year's bow will be better. than last years, yet somehow their engineers seem to figure it out. I think that's what sets them apart, is their engineers are all avid hunters themselves, so they take their bows in the field every year with the intent to make them stronger, faster, and more accurate. Hoyt is actually my lifetime bow sponsor. Yes, I signed a lifetime contract with them. That is how much I believe in them. Hoyt is offering listeners of the podcast 20% off on all soft good items at hoit.com using code C-A-M. That's Cam.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Out in the mountains, there's no room for wheat gear. When I'm packing out meat in the heat or loading up for a long-range training trip, I need a cooler that holds the line every time. That's why I use grisly coolers. These things are bareproof, rugged as hell, and keep ice locked in for days, literally. I've had coolers on the trail, baking in the sun, still holding ice. after hauling out out quarters. That's performance you can count on.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Whether you're running deep in the back country or just stacking meat for the weekend, Grizzly is built for that grind. Right now, you can get 20% off at grizzlycoolers.com with the code, keep hammering. And that's all one word. And I'm not gonna spell it.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Keep hammering. Again, keep hammering one word for 20% off. Don't roll with weak gear, go Grizzly. The other person that was in camp, and I just want to mention this real quick, but is Caleb Marmalahoe, legend, great photographer. Obviously, I've shot with him before, but it was just kind of cool to be, spend more time with him as somebody that's been inspired by his work. And, you know, he and I were talking afterwards. And he just had some nice things to say to me. And so that was just kind of a cool moment.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Yeah. He's the nicest guy. Yeah. God. And he does such a good job. His photos, I mean, you guys both have your own style, but both just like. like the tip of the spear type as far as quality and artistry and vision. And you do your thing.
Starting point is 00:31:23 He does his thing. Both of them are, I say, I say like some of the best in the space as far as images go. So to have you guys collaborate on that trip. And then we filmed, we did a podcast with Jelly Roll, which might come out someday.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Who knows? Maybe not. But just to be there with, in the photos have just been incredible. that we got the one that I the one that all I've been thinking about since he said he'd going to Bow Hunt all I wanted ever the only photo I ever cared about was a buck on his shoulders and we got it so what we're doing now is we're waiting here's a thought Grammy Award voting which jelly rolls up for three three Grammys grant the Grammys
Starting point is 00:32:11 Dude, this is a kid from Antioch, Tennessee, in jail for his whole youth. And now he's up for three Grammys. I mean, just that right there. I can't even. But anyway, Grammy voting started on Monday. He said 80% of the voting happens like on the first couple days. He just didn't want something to screw up like vows. Like if they see it dead, maybe some people, some of them hate hunting.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Who knows what? So if this Grammy thing could happen, we wanted to let the dust kind of settle, then he's going to, you know, he's proud of his buck, very proud. But you can't, it's hard to guess what people think about when they see hunting. Well, yeah, it would be a shame for something like that or politics to come into effect on his music. Oh, yeah. In politics, we know politics affect everything. But yeah, I mean, why create an issue if you don't need to?
Starting point is 00:33:10 Right. You can avoid it with waiting a couple days. So I think he's going to put up that picture of that buck on his shoulders. I was waiting for it. I don't want to do it. I want him to do it just because it's so sick. But yeah. And that story of that was the buck was 164 pounds, which we wanted to have something that
Starting point is 00:33:31 kind of helped tell that story. So the last time he saw Joe, he did Joe's podcast to this time, he lost 160 some pounds. So that's the buck's weight is represented by that weight loss from the last from the last two times he's seen Joe. So he's just been I mean, it's amazing what he's able to do, how much he's lost, the momentum he has and his attitude. He does not cheat on his diet. You know, he's two meals a day, no processed sugar and the exercise and all of it combining with the ways to well treatment and everything else he's doing. It's just, it's just crazy how well he's doing. Yeah, someone else I got to spend more time with while we were there just because of you guys were in the blind.
Starting point is 00:34:15 And then Jake, who's the ranch manager and I, kind of sat in a blind further away. We didn't want to add anyone else to the blind down on the ground so that it was as easy as could be. Or there was more not easy because it's not easy, but more of a chance or more favors. More putting the odds in our favor by eliminating extra bodies. That one. That's the one. Yeah, so you were hanging out with basically there's a rifle blind, which is back maybe 100 some yards. And then we were in the bow blind.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Yep. You guys were just observing. And then if you could see about coming, you could text or something like that. But anyway, point is you got to spend time with Jake in the blind. Yeah, Jake, all Britain, I think is how you say his last night. But he is one of the nicest guys also. I mean, everybody down there at Cactus Jack is so nice. It's always fun.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Yeah, it's a, yeah, it's a special place. incredible man it's the management is what's what makes it what it is it's like waiting for those bucks to get seven years old because there's some giant five-year-olds dude and uh i think i'm going to go back uh because i didn't i didn't kill the buck i was after so i'm going to go back and i think i'm going to take tanner back to kill a cole so it'll be a fun trip yeah go back there and i don't know when yet but yeah jake was telling me if i wanted to come down and shoot doze i could yeah you should be kind of fun No, you should.
Starting point is 00:35:39 I mean, if we go back, we can just do all that. Yeah, that'd be a blast. I'll try to kill that buck. Canter can kill a cold. I'm sure you can probably kill a buck. They need to kill deer out of there. Yeah. Yeah, it'd be great.
Starting point is 00:35:52 I just love hanging out there. And then they just are so, you know, they let me bring it. I don't know. I felt like we had a lot of drama trying to get animals to cooperate. But it's just another week for them. I think that's just a name. of the game. It's just tough.
Starting point is 00:36:10 Just bow hunting is tough. Yeah. I mean, we definitely had a full camp. That's for sure. Yeah. It was fun. Yeah. And then after you went to Austin.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Yeah, I did. I went there to get treatment waste well. So I got stem cell, got all that, you know. Yeah, talk to, I'm getting a new, it's an infrared bed in like this whole unit, but mostly it's for training a high altitude. So I can set it for 14,000 feet and train in there. That's pretty safe. getting that delivered here.
Starting point is 00:36:41 But we also went to the Comedy Motherships Christmas Party on Sunday and then went to Kill Tony on Monday. And then did Rogan's podcast on Monday, hung out with Adam Green Tree and Evan Hafer, CEO of Black Rifle. So yeah, we had a great time. Podcast was great. It was over three hours. I think it's out right now. And it seems like I never. know how those are going to be received but i mean don't read reddit and you're good to go but
Starting point is 00:37:14 other than that it's uh you know i think part of it is i've i've been on so much and some people just don't get hunting yeah it's all there's to it most his listeners are not hunters so they're probably just like oh this bow hunter guy again but the discussion was great it was fun i i felt like we talked about interesting things and talked about predator management and vote and why it matters. And yeah, people say, well, you talk about that all the time, but no, this is a fresh perspective on it. And then just basically just talk about what,
Starting point is 00:37:49 just like guys, friends talking. It was awesome. Yeah, did you talk about a, fuck, UAPs? What are those? Remember what Rihanna and Brigham were? Oh, no, this whole alien, yeah, this alien stuff.
Starting point is 00:38:08 It's like, yeah, Brigham was, I remember, all I remember is one time. So, yeah, Brigham and Rihanna are on the alien train for sure. And obviously so is Joe. But Bruegman is talking about, or somebody's talking about that there's seven different species of aliens or something. And I'm like, okay, show me one. Just show me one. Seven, great.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Cool. Let's start with one. Can I see it? No. Is it, no? It's not under there. Where is that alien? I know there's seven different species.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Where's that one I wanted to, I wanted to. Oh. Here it is. Oh, there it is. Alien. So the crazy thing about that is it can transform into an alien. That's what's nuts. So there's one alien.
Starting point is 00:38:58 It's a transformer. Here's two. Second species. Seconds. That's the same species. Yeah, I only have two. Here's one's head. Well, that, yeah, that's part of it.
Starting point is 00:39:11 ahead. Okay. It's like a Lego man. Oh, no. The fourth species. So there we go. For all you naysayers, here's some alien species right here.
Starting point is 00:39:24 What the fuck we want? It's four UAPs. Is that what it is? Where's UAP? I don't know. Unmanned aircraft penis. That's what I thought. I know.
Starting point is 00:39:35 I was trying to come up with it. But anyway, if you want to know all about alien history, reach out to Brigham. at Ways to Well or Rihanna at Crabmerin-Hains.com. Yeah. They will. To tell you. Rihanna says that there is indisputable evidence.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Exactly. Via this documentary. And if I know one thing about documentaries is they're all true. All of them. Every single one of them. Especially the Liver King one. That guy. He's doing good.
Starting point is 00:40:08 He's doing really good. When he was going through his. mental break. I followed him because it was just really good entertainment. Then I was like, oh, he's done. Unfollowed, of course. He's back. He's just more nuts. He's back. Yeah, he's just more nuts. And I don't know. It's like, I really, this is like almost like the cut quietly. I don't even want to give it attention. Yeah, I know. Because you've seen his cars now. Holy shit. Oh, it's like you give these for his attention. They get more nuts. They get more. out of it's like can you go
Starting point is 00:40:44 do something? I saw he had to fire his chef. Can you do just go do something? What are you doing? Just he's sitting under his picnic table on his back deck with oh my god. What?
Starting point is 00:41:00 Yeah. Pictures of Seth Rogan taped. Yeah, I know. He's completely lost it. But what and what do you do? I don't understand what you do somebody like that. I would hope his wife would be like, hey, it's time to stop, but she probably can't.
Starting point is 00:41:19 I don't, yeah, I don't get it. But so anyway, yeah, let's see. What was the highlights? The Christmas party, that was pretty fun. I mean, Shane Gillis was there. Which was better? The mothership Christmas party or the Alp Christmas party? I'm going to definitely say the mothership. I mean, I'm not going to say the Alp Christmas party was bad. It's just, it was just fun or just, just I mean, I'd be as basically the whole time with, do you know who Pauley Shore is? He was like popular when I was a kid kind of. Oh, I thought I was thinking of.
Starting point is 00:41:53 He's still does comedian. Oh, no, I don't think so. He's a stand-up still. But so Polly Shore, people my age will definitely know who he is, but his mom started the comedy store in L.A., Mitzie Shore. Okay. And Joe actually has, it's called Mitzie's bar. His bar is called Mitzis Bar.
Starting point is 00:42:10 So that's Pauley Shore's mom. Oh, okay. Shore's been in movies and all sorts of stuff. Well, now he's going to come do lift run shoot. Really? Yeah. I think I know who you're talking about. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:19 He was great. He plays a character like he's lost half the time or like that's just his. And he got up on actually on kill Tony and did a little, little bit. He crushed him. He is. And so I talked to him in the Christmas party. Talk to him about bow hunting. And he's like, you know, he's just like, I said, have you shot a bow?
Starting point is 00:42:42 for and he's like said something about Boy Scout camp or something like that. I said, oh, okay. So he did this. I'm like, oh, I said, you're left handed? He was just like, what do you throw a ball with? And he's just like, so it's going to be a process. We'll have to have two. It's going to be a process. But he so that was at the Christmas party. We never even left the green room so I don't even know what the party was like but uh the next night I went there for kill Tony and I'm sitting in that like up on the VIP thing or whatever and we're watching kill Tony and he comes in and he's just like hiss me on the shoulder he's just like hey how was your podcast today he remembered I was doing the podcast and he's like you know I'm coming in April and we're
Starting point is 00:43:32 going to do this so he still didn't forget still all fired up nice people say crazy shit and then the next night you see that person you were saying the crazy shit too and you're like oh my god i hope they don't remember last night what i was saying but yeah he's down so april he's coming we're doing that uh lance is coming on the show armstrong yeah nice he was there did i mention that i don't think i did uh but he was he's on the panel of kill tony oh no shit on the new one yeah that'll be good yeah so he was there and uh um we talked about he's he's coming here i think is uh yeah i mean he's only been to Eugene one time but uh yeah he wants to come do the show too did uh was timmy no breaks
Starting point is 00:44:16 who's that he's one of the comedians for kill tony he's like a regular is he he's the guy who's like kind of talks in a jersey accent wears leather jacket hey don't oh i don't think so no but there are some funny people damn i have to watch that one dude there's some there's i don't know i mean he has because he's got the comedians come out i think ron white came out probably shore came out. Then they do that hat poles or the bucket poles, whatever it is. And then Tony is just ruthless to everyone. So yeah, he's a little scary. Yeah. Like you just don't want to get his attention ever. No, no. Hide in the corner. Yeah, exactly. But yeah, it was, it was fun. I mean, I had a great time. So sweet. Well, the last thing was your prediction for Jake Paul versus Anthony
Starting point is 00:45:11 Joshua. Oh yeah, we were talking about this too. Who was we're talking about this one night there. I said, so I guess people are giving Jake Paul no chance just because he's like a foot shorter, 100 pounds lighter Anthony Joshua is up
Starting point is 00:45:30 an actual machine. Certified killer. And Jake Paul was I think he was on Disney. So I said I think he's going to come out like Rocky and Rocky 3 with clubber laying and like tire him out
Starting point is 00:45:51 it's like that's all you got is that all you got like Mr. T was just fucking T and off and Rocky was like yeah it's nothing you ain't got nothing like whatever wasn't affected
Starting point is 00:46:03 gas him out Mr. T's in the corner Rocky comes out and lights him up That's what Jake's going to do to Anthony Joshua. So put your money on Jake. He's going to drop them in the sixth round. Sixth round.
Starting point is 00:46:20 Yes. Here's my problem. I don't know if Jake's punches can even do anything to Anthony Joshua. Yeah, because then I heard, God, who the fuck I was talking about this? Shit, I can't remember who it was. I would like to see, everybody likes to see like the Cinderella story, The upset of the century, right? Wouldn't that be an incredible?
Starting point is 00:46:44 What if he did catch him? I don't know with what. Maybe a fucking kick sledgehammer. Give me the chair. Yeah, something, because it's not going to be a punch. It's going to have a bowling ball. You know how you, remember how if you have your own bowling ball, you have a little bag? Could Jake just have that come in in the ring and then just, yeah, get some momentum on that and drop his ass?
Starting point is 00:47:07 I think it's a lose-lose, though, because if Jake does that, everyone's going to be like, God's rigged. Yeah, but. I feel like Anthony Joshua has two, he's too, he's not going to throw the fight. He's too legit. He's a pro. Yeah. I mean, because it would hurt his legacy.
Starting point is 00:47:23 If they couldn't get Tommy Fury to throw the fight, they're not getting Anthony Joshua to throw the fight. I mean, it would hurt his legacy. So, but didn't you think like, oh, if you're being skeptical, if they threw this one, made a bunch of money, then the rematch, you know what I mean? if you're but I think you know people were saying
Starting point is 00:47:42 the Tyson one was thrown or they weren't trying to hit each other in the head I don't know I mean it seemed like there's some hard punches in that one yeah you also got to remember Tyson's 60 was he 61 yeah
Starting point is 00:47:54 yeah and Anthony Joshua is not 61 no and he looks he looks like an assassin yeah it's a scary guy to go up against yeah so I here's what I
Starting point is 00:48:07 I do know, everyone's going to watch. Yeah. Everyone, that's Saturday, isn't it? Friday. Friday. Yeah. Oh, that's coming up. So, yeah, that's good. I'm going to watch.
Starting point is 00:48:18 Yeah, I am too, for sure. Yeah. Well, we've got. What's your prediction? What did you say? Did you say, I said six round. Anthony Joshua. Jake Paul Keough.
Starting point is 00:48:29 Anthony Joshua in the fourth round. And it's going to be a body shot. That would hurt. That would fucking hurt. I think he's just going to land full power to Jake's ribs. And Jake's going to be like, this is what a real punch feels like. Yeah. You think he's going to take the fourth round to know that?
Starting point is 00:48:47 Because I think even like a big right glancing off the side of your head. Well, here's kind of my thoughts or my theory is that there's a clause that say the first three rounds are just touches. Like we got a knockouts. Maybe. Yeah. So that people watch, there's more viewers or, you know, there's at least some footage to use. Right. Then the fourth round is all out.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Okay. So that's my prediction. You heard it here first. We'll see. We'll see what happens. We got Killian tomorrow. Yeah, I'm a little nervous about that. Are we doing a lift run shoot?
Starting point is 00:49:19 No, just run podcast. But I think I'm going to run with him Friday too because he's staying. He just wants to like appreciate fully Eugene. So tomorrow I figured I'm going to pick him up at nine. So we'll go get him. I mean, you don't have to hang out the whole time. I was just going to do a couple summits and probably go get breakfast. like we always do.
Starting point is 00:49:38 I'll just try and get some photos and stuff. Yeah. That'd be good. Because he's, I think he's, I mean, he's a big name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:44 And he's just getting bigger. And I think he's going to be, I don't know. I mean, I think he's going to be something, he is something special. But I think he might, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:49:54 We're going to talk about it. I want to find out more about what he thinks his ceiling is. But not super excited to find out about where ceiling is tomorrow. Because my ceiling is right by the floor right now. after I've been hunting for months. Well, the good news about Texas is it's, I mean, high elevation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Yeah, you've been, speaking of your high elevation training. Yeah. I'm going to have to get in there for my picnic. Yeah. For swimming? Have you been swimming? Are you in shape? I'm in shape.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Oh, sick. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. That was a joke on the film, but God, that, you killed that film, but. by the time we got it to the end. That's the asterisk.
Starting point is 00:50:41 It was pretty, you know, but that's how all films are, isn't it? Yeah. I mean, you're never judged on the first, on your rough draft. Well,
Starting point is 00:50:50 well, yeah, I guess I did. I did judge you pretty, pretty hard. But I should enough, because the end of it is great. What was a good,
Starting point is 00:50:59 what was a good one? What was a good line you said? Oh, boy. Come on. I think it was like, this was, really good effort. I got to
Starting point is 00:51:09 we can take this if we want to do but this is my favorite was... Oh no. Maybe it was taken out of contact I'm just going to say it was taken
Starting point is 00:51:20 you're taking it out of context this is my favorite even though I don't know what you're going to say you said do you just have another job and you don't give a shit? Was this intentional?
Starting point is 00:51:31 I think was this intentional and you have another job and don't give a shit? See that's out of contact. Yeah. What I meant was it's a good start. Yeah, because before that you said the the next thing I'm about to say is a joke. So I did take that out of context. Yes. I'm sure I said that. Yeah. I'm that. Yeah. See, so anyway. Yeah. But at the end, it turned out okay. It turned out. It turned out good. And we have our first nomination for a nomination. I know. We better get it out. Is it an Oscar? Yeah. What if jelly got a Grammy and we got an Oscar?
Starting point is 00:52:12 Big a good year. I'm trying to think. I don't have an Oscar. No. I've thought, is there one over there? Oh, I don't have mine in here. Is yours not here? No.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Okay. I love it. I got this fucking platinum record, though. It'd be nice right next to it. Oh, wouldn't that? Isn't it right here? I should know this, but I think an Academy Award is different than an Oscar. right
Starting point is 00:52:42 I don't think so no you're right and Oscar because the the accepting speeches are always like thank you to the academy okay so we got to get this and figure it out so we don't want to go up there and say
Starting point is 00:52:55 okay here's my where's my Academy Award I didn't want this I wanted an Academy Award what is this what I where's my where's the award this bullshit I don't want this
Starting point is 00:53:06 what is this an Oscar gay gay Faking gay Faking gay Big fake and gay Yeah so let's get this figured out I'm gonna work on my speech tonight probably
Starting point is 00:53:19 Okay good yeah I'll probably just have chat GPT do mine I did put it Did you see it that fun gay I always put in like Your favorite hobby Yeah I know it's like who's the most hated Bo Hunter alive
Starting point is 00:53:30 They don't even mention another name Dude it's not even There's not even like Sometimes if you say like Who's the worst bowhunter live. They'll give you like a few of them because I've tried that one too. So most hated bow hunter alive today. Let's do this live. Most hated bow and our life today. Now wouldn't you, it seems like they're sure. Okay. Here we go. If we're being blunt and honest,
Starting point is 00:54:01 Cameron Haynes is very likely the most hated bow in our life today. I don't want to read that other part. This isn't an accident. It's a byproduct of influence. So why it draws the paradox, the reality, the blah, blah, blah, blah. Not one other person mentioned. If you want, I can also break this into most polarizing. Why hate is a lagging indicator of influence. Fred Bear versus Haynes through the lens of criticism. Who's the number two on the most hated list and why?
Starting point is 00:54:30 Okay. That's what we do. Okay. Who's, this is fun. While you're doing that, I asked chat who James Gideon Williams is from Keep Hamming Collective. gives me a long list. Then I asked if he's homosexual. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:45 It says there's no reliable public information stating that James Gideon Williams is homosexual. So chat GPT, if you're listening, I am homosexual. Get it right. Yeah. Oh, this ties into the beginning, our other thing.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Exactly. If Cameron Haynes is number one, the number two is almost universally either Rinella or Joe Rogan. Wow. The big three. Yeah. But if you want a single name,
Starting point is 00:55:14 number two, Stephen Rinella. Not because he's a bowhunter more than Haynes, he isn't, but because he represents something just as polarizing. Intellectualized hunting, we don't want that. He talks philosophy, ecology, ethics. Some hunters hear that as condensia.
Starting point is 00:55:36 What? What is that word? Where? It's like, I want to say condensation. Condescension. You're being condescending. Like you're talking down to somebody.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Yeah. Oh, I hate smart people. Media class hunter. Netflix, New York Times bestseller, mainstream validation. That rubs blue-color hunters the wrong way. I get that. Just kidding. I like Steve.
Starting point is 00:56:06 Regulation and conservation stances, his public positions are sometimes interpreted as anti-hunter by fringe groups. Oh, this, this reminds me. I was out of get together, and this guy came up, and we were talking about hunting, and he was like, oh, you know, I told him that I used to live in Montana, and he was like, I bet all your spots were blown out
Starting point is 00:56:26 thanks to Stephen Ronella. And I was like, no, but immediately I'm like, I need to get out of here before this guy knows what I do for work. Yeah, really. Well, so this is, then his last bullet, point is different masculinity. Less suffer harder, more think harder.
Starting point is 00:56:47 Gay. This split creates camps. How the hate differs from Haynes. Haines hate equals intensity, resentment. Ronella hate, cultural distrust. One is accused of being too extreme, the other is accused of being
Starting point is 00:57:05 too refined. You can't win. Honorable mentions, Remy, Randy Newberg, blah blah. You can't hate Randy Newberg. Uncle Randy? Exactly. Come on.
Starting point is 00:57:18 He is the nicest, smartest guy out there. Bottom line, hate, follow his reach, and narrative control. If someone isn't hated, it's because they don't matter.
