I use ketone IQ when I need to stay sharp for the long haul.
Long runs, lifting, before I shoot my bow, even when I'm podcasting,
anytime I want steady focus without crashing.
What I like about it is how it feels.
It helps me stay locked in during long efforts and mentally demanding sessions,
not jittery, not wired, just clear and steady.
Ketones are your brain's preferred fuel source.
So instead of that spiked caffeine feeling, the focus feels calm and controlled.
It lets me push without leaning on caffeine or sugar.
I'm not chasing another cup of coffee or something sweet just to get through a workout or a long day.
I can train, work, and think without that roller coaster of energy.
Physically, I feel ready to go.
Mentally, I'm locked in.
That combination matters when you're putting in long hours and real work.
Visit ketone.com backslash cam for 30% off your subscription order, plus receive a free gift with your second shipment.
Or find ketone IQ at Target stores nationwide in the hydration and protein aisle and get your first shot free.
When you're deep in the backcountry and everything depends on your gear, your knife can't be the weak link.
That's why I teamed up with Montana Knife Company to build the keep hammering pack out.
What matters to me in all things is performance.
The packout is built to do one thing really well.
Break down animals efficiently.
The blade shape gives you control when skinning.
The steel holds an edge and it's light enough that you don't think twice about carrying it all day.
Montana Knife Company is American made and that matters to me.
I know Josh Smith personally and he doesn't cut corners.
He cares about quality, doing things right way and about building products here in the USA that actually perform in the field.
That's why I trust this knife.
If you want to check it out, head to montananknife company.com.
And right now, podcast listeners, get 10% off any knife with code cam 10, C-A-M-10.
To keep hammering pack out, built for the backcountry, built to work.
Every step I take, I move my truth.
Every time they tell me stop I use.
Every comment hate that makes my feel gather up my energy and boom.
I hear them talking, saying the way that I move is so reckless.
That is a part of my mind I've been blessed with.
blood so I am relentless.
You're alive.
This is the Keep Krammer and Collective.
Shit Talker's Weekly number.
Let's see.
Let's do this.
21 times three is what?
74.
Divided by two.
Yeah.
Plus six.
31.
Exactly.
Shit Talker's 31.
Fucking math checks out.
I thought you weren't going to carry the one, but you did.
I know.
I always forget to carry the one.
but I've been working on that.
Well, God.
We're back, baby.
We are so back.
Hasn't...
We never left.
Has it been a while?
Or have we...
It's been a little while.
Not as long as it was before the last time.
Yeah.
So we've had worse blue balls.
We should talk with blue balls, right?
Yeah, we haven't edged them so hard this time.
Good, good.
Let's get, wait.
Do I need a...
Holy shit.
Pause.
Oh, there you go.
This is the only thing that got...
me through that crazy McGregor fight was my keytone IQ with Michael Brandt, Jeffrey Wu, and everyone
else and oh the guy who interviews the billionaires. I saw him. Yeah, he was there.
Did he interview you? I'm just a little bit short still on that on the billionaire part,
but I told him yeah when I get there he's got the exclusive. Nice. Yeah. So where oh okay here
oh that's what this was. So do you remember that yeah you were there I think right where the rock and the
a letter up on Pisca. That's what this is. Oh, okay. And he said, I think he said he wanted me to read it on
shit talkers weekly because he has come to terms with his past or whatever it was. So,
I started reading it. We were up there with, with Forrest and Dylan and all the guys. But so this is
it. Maybe this will be the intro to the podcast if our real intro is a little too hot.
Yeah. If you're seeing this, it's because you're a select special few. Right. Yeah. It's a,
this isn't for everybody. We, this is because we really,
love you. Yeah. So, Cam, there are people you'll probably never meet whose live you've changed
forever. I'm one of them. I wanted to write this letter simply to say thank you. My name is Nick Brochu.
I'm a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from Paxton, Massachusetts, and in many ways, you helped save my life.
I served in the Marine Corps from 1998 in 2005 with 3rd Battalion First Marines out of Camp Pendleton.
During that time, I deployed three times, including the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003. So,
first of all props i mean these the guys that went over there to that shit show to start off is
fucking crazy um and i just have so much respect for for them um and you know a lot of them have to deal with
shit coming back and it's you know my heart goes out to him but uh okay so it says when i was
honorably discharged in 2005 i came home carrying PTSD from the war therapy helped for a while but
the depression and anxiety slowly took over.
I withdrew from people, stopped taking care of myself and bounced from job to job
because I couldn't get my mental health under control.
For nearly 18 years, I was surviving instead of living.
The biggest reason I'm still here is my wife, Lauren, she stood beside me through years
of drinking, anger, and emotional distance.
She never gave up on me, even when I had given up on myself.
She has been my rock through every high and every low.
Quitting drinking in 2019 was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
and I don't know where I'd be today without her.
That's another huge part.
Somebody, you know, that believes in you and loves you is, you know, we go through life
and sometimes we take people like that for granted, but, man.
Unconditionally.
Yeah.
That's true love and that's, I wish everybody could know that feeling.
It goes on.
Everything changed in October, 2023 when I entered an inpatient PTSD program to the VA.
Before I went, my wife had taken me.
my belt because she was afraid I was going to take my own life. Wow. That's how bad things had
become. That program started my recovery. While I was still on medical leave afterward, I listened to
Joe Rogan's podcast with David Goggins. During that conversation, Guggins kept talking about you.
Then I listened to your episode, and before long I had fallen down the Camhane's rebel hole.
Your books endure and undeniable have each been through my audible library at least three times.
Along the way, I discovered Keep Hammering Collective and so many other people whose stories inspired me, Courtney DeWalter, Eli Weeby, Andy Glaze, Andy Stomp, and others.
I watched your sons, Tanner and Truitt grown to the men they are today, and that has been just as inspiring.
It says everything about the example you've said as a father. For more than anything, your message taught me that discipline isn't about being the toughest guy in the room. It's about showing up every day, especially when you don't feel like it. That mindset became fuel for my, for,
rebuilding my life. The first goal I set was to run in 2000 or the 2025 Marine Corps
Marathon at that time I couldn't even run a mile. So I started showing up every day. Running strength
training, eating better, refusing to quit when I got hard. Every workout became another small
victory over the person I used to be. Since beginning that journey, I've lost over 100 pounds,
completed the 2025 Marine Corps marathon and on July 12th I'll be running my first ultramarathon,
the Mount Hood 50K. I chose that race because I wanted a chance.
I'd never been to Oregon and I'd never been to Oregon.
Somehow I convinced my wife to take a detour to Mount Piscuit so I could leave this letter
on the pedestal with a hope that it would be eventually that it would eventually find
its way to you.
That's this letter right here, by the way.
That's what we're talking about.
So amazing, Nick.
Thank you very much.
This goes on.
Back home in Massachusetts, I train on Wasatichet's Mountain.
Probably said that wrong.
Almost every weekend.
This past Memorial Day, my friend Jake and I carried rocks to the summit to on.
honor those who never came home. I dedicated mine to a friend, Corporal Dale Allen Berger Jr.
It is a simple act, but one that meant a great deal to me. And yeah, man, rest in peace.
Dale, running has become more than something I do for myself. For my first ultramarathon, I'm raising
money for homeless veterans. My wife and I created the average Marines paying palace for homeless
veterans because helping veterans has become my purpose. After this race, my goal is to start my own
nonprofit and continue taking on bigger endurance challenges each year, eventually working my way to a
100-mile race. When I jokingly mentioned Kokadona, my wife immediately put her foot down, maybe someday.
One of these things you said that has stuck with me is to chase hard things. That's exactly what
I'm trying to do, not because I'm an elite athlete, but because I know there are veterans out there
who need someone fighting for them. I'm just an average runner. My Marine Corps Marathon,
took me five hours and 51 minutes and I'm guessing the 50k will take me close to 10 hours.
Those numbers don't matter much to me. What matters is continuing to show up, embracing the grind and using every mile to help someone else.
You may never know how many lives you've changed to your example. I want you to know about one of them.
Your message, help me rebuild my health. Your message, help me rebuild my health, strength, and my marriage,
rediscover purpose and dedicate the next chapter of my life to serving veterans in a different way.
For that, I will always be grateful. Thank you for everything.
Keep hammering, Semperfy, Sergeant Nick Brochu, USMC.
Man, thank you, brother.
It's, this means, I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep this letter forever.
But this means so much to me.
And just the kind words and the,
and just knowing more of your story
and just how you're just crushing it,
it warms my heart.
So thank you, Nick.
He also ran that 50K in 745.
Did he?
So, it was 45 minutes.
So crushed what he thought he was going to.
yet. Wow. That is actually good. You just looked that up? Oh, you sent a message. Oh, nice. Well, Nick, man,
someday I look forward to shaking your hand, giving you a hug and telling you I'm here for you and I believe
in you and just keep up the good work. And if I can do anything to help you, please let me know.
But to all the veterans out there that have served and fought for our country, to all the
veterans who've lost, you know, um, teammates and, and members, uh, or fellow soldiers
on their deployments and have to go through the pain of that and knowing, you know, their friends
and, and, uh, you know, their friends and brothers didn't come home. Um, my heart goes out to you.
We, we can pray for each other. We can, we can hope for strength and we can honor each other's
memory. And, uh, I just want to lift with, lift everybody up who fought, has fought, has fought.
for a country and sacrifice for our country and especially let's hold those deer that that didn't
come home fighting for our freedoms here we we live them and get to enjoy that sacrifice every day
and i think we should always keep that in mind that there's that comes with the price and
some paid the ultimate price and i'm forever indebted to them as we all should be so thank you
Nick and thank you to all who served. Appreciate you guys. We got to talk about this thing. Trump
just signed. God. I fucking hate him so bad. What the fuck are you doing? And that Mike Lee
standing back there like a grinning idiot because he's getting what he wants. So they want to
remove protections on 91% of Bears Ears' Monument, National Monument. Great idea. One of the most
beautiful places you can go. Oh, it's gorgeous. It's unreal. It's unreal. It's.
And I think that'd be a good place for development.
Don't you?
Reducing it by 3 million acres.
I fucking hate this administration.
So.
And people are,
are you voted for it?
Shut the fuck up.
Here's what I want to know is you got
Roosevelt, right?
Yeah.
Who's remembered.
Teddy Roosevelt.
His legacy is remembered forever
because of what he did for national parks.
Yeah.
National land.
So in your mind,
if you're Trump.
Do you think this is going to get you remembered forever?
Yeah, as hated.
And he's actually put his fucking picture up on some,
I don't know if it's a White House
or some other fucking probably Trump building he renamed.
Maybe the White House is now the Trump House
because he renames fucking everything else.
And I voted for this bitch.
He had his name on NASA.
Yeah, but so he, like a picture of him
and a picture of Roosevelt on the same,
like he's fucking, oh, what's this of?
the fucking opposite ends of the spectrum.
This guy was great for public lands
and for protecting the natural resource and beauty
and everything else of the greatest part of our country, essentially.
And this guy is doing all he can to fucking ruin it.
Is that what that example is?
I also saw that he's going to put his face on a gold coin,
$1 gold coin.
He should put his face on toilet paper.
Now, that's something I would pay for.
I'm fucking so sick of it.
Dude, I don't understand what the thinking is.
I mean, why can't he fucking die?
With all of?
We're not making any threats.
No, natural causes like Lindsay Graham, or no, did Lindsay?
Yeah, Lindsay Graham.
How the fuck is Mitch McConnell outliving him?
He looks like he's been dead for fucking months.
Decades.
I think they're just like wheeling him in
and then putting his arm up.
All right, hold the picture.
Yeah.
He voted for it.
That was it.
That was it.
Yay.
Here's just what I'm going to say.
When your elected officials are having to prove that they're still alive because they look so old and decrepit.
Yeah, fucking killing it.
They're fucking killing it.
When did we start doing that?
Like, oh, prove you're alive.
Take a picture with today's newspaper.
Yeah.
Got to do that again now because bitch has been dead forever.
It's full of fucking formaldehyde order today.
They embalmed him.
I think this is maybe it's not a good time to do a podcast.
I think I'm came in a little hot today.
No, no.
It's all positivity and all love.
I need my notes from Rogan's podcast because I don't want, I really want to talk about that fucking twink, twink candidate.
But I guess I need to just be positive.
We're going to take that part out?
No.
Fuck that bitch.
I call him T-wink.
you know, because his brown star wakes up.
What's that dork up to?
Just walking around pretending to not be gay?
Well, I don't know.
I mean, he blocked me too, so I'll never know.
Anyway.
Yeah.
All love.
Well, I think that is something.
That is love.
That is love.
Did it sound?
I hope that wasn't misconstrued.
No, I don't think.
That couldn't be taken.
Because that was supposed to be positive.
Yeah.
When I listened to that, I felt warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Right.
I almost come to my britches.
Good.
Come to your knickers.
I was at knickers in a while.
Is that where Knickerbocker comes from?
Fuck.
I don't know.
I don't know shit.
We do have to talk about that because it's on the list, which is we just had Mike McKnight here.
Are you talking about the dark McKnight?
The dark McKnight.
Yeah, okay.
I didn't know who you're talking about.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
And we had to talk about this BBC thing.
Big black cock.
Yeah.
How did that tie in again?
Because everybody's panties are in a wad when you say it.
BPC?
Yeah.
Yeah.
But now we have an elite here who said he took it for something and I haven't heard it.
Sure.
Okay.
It was never fucking about the peptide.
I hope people can realize that now.
But yeah, I'm glad Mike took it because it.
he avoided, I mean, like a huge surgery.
Yeah.
And it was scheduled and he was going to do it.
And instead he fucking took BPC,
could cancel the surgery and won the Arizona Monster 300 instead of maybe being debilitated forever
because of a fucking back surgery.
And there's some people would be like, oh, that's illegal.
It's like, shut the fuck up, you dumb bitch.
He just fucking won a fucking race.
he avoided surgery, that should be celebrated.
Positiveity.
Oh, yeah.
Thank you for your opinion.
And yeah, it's amazing.
It's great.
So I don't want there to be any negative feedback for him.
But that just shows that the little fucking twink in the cuck chair, it was only about me.
It wasn't about any fucking peptide or clean sport or safety or any other bullshit he said.
So I hope everybody who fucking, even,
gave him a hint of any legitimacy can see now it was all fucking a personal vendetta which i said the whole
time here's what i think though is even with mike being able to see how you were treated after you
talked about openly telling truth is he still stepped up and told the truth which i know i can admire
oh he could i mean who would do that most people just avoid it and because most people well not not most but
there's tons of people who are doing shit that is not technically allowed by usada
because we do multi-day races but when the heat comes fucking everybody forgot how to talk
it's like oh fucking laryngitis bronchitis i would say something but can't talk so so many
people fucking do it they're not going to take any heat they're fucking too much they're too worried
about the fucking mob right mike
could have avoided all of it.
I took the fall.
I got it out there.
But he fucking stepped up.
He's got balls and he said,
hey, I just want to be honest about this
and say that I use BPC too.
So much respect for that.
So much respect.
And there's tons of other people out there,
which I understand.
Nobody wants to be criticized over and over every day
and comment after comment.
So I get it.
But so I'm not like,
I don't want to detract from the people
who do shit that's maybe not 100% legal
if you were an Olympic athlete
and just don't want to wade into the nonsense like Sage started,
so I get it.
But it makes me very much admire Mike for just being honest.
For sure.
And I'm hoping what it creates is space for other athletes that have used it
and have had good experiences to talk about it.
Because like we've said from the beginning,
it's obviously a conversation that needs to happen.
Yeah, that's why I brought it up.
The only way you can have a conversation is if people talk about it.
So maybe they'll realize.
That's a key part of a conversation is talking.
Well, some people like Cuckaday would like to have you believe that conversations are one-sided, you know, and the only truth is what comes out of their mouth.
It's such a fucking fake. What a, it's just so stupid. But I do respect Mike. He's the most winningness multi-day athlete in history. And he avoided fucking a big-time back surgery. And it's incredible.
And months later won the Monster 3-0.
Yeah. And it's like I just, and I, you know, potentially avoided surgery myself, multiple surgeries, maybe affecting my gate forever. And with him, maybe his back and we were saying, what would people rather have him get surgery? Because that's legal. You're not taking any legal BPC and never be able to run again. And they'd be like, well, he did it. He did the right thing. The right thing. His whole fucking identity in life is over basically for what he's his job. It's like,
And you'd be happy with that?
In everything he's worked towards.
First whole, like, this is what he does.
And you think that's better?
People are just, God, this fucking community drives me insane sometimes.
Well, in the note of talking some shit on people, I've got someone that we need to talk shit on.
Yeah.
And because he's asked for it.
Oh.
Matt Johnson, welcome to the podcast.
A friend of the show.
Friend of the show, Matt Johnson, the little crack baby.
What does he want?
Well, obviously he wants attention and how bad does he want it?
I don't know, but he's doing he, I can't even keep track all his projects.
Yeah.
And apparently he's doing seven full-length triathlons in seven days.
He can't even call it Iron Man because they've trademarked it.
So that's cool.
I would choose something too that's trademarked.
I can't even name it the right thing.
Yeah.
So what does he want to talk?
Well, so here's one thing.
He's doing seven.
Do we, we do know that James Lawrence did 100 and one.
The Iron Cowboy.
The Iron Cowboy did 101 in a row.
So what's seven?
Yeah.
Matt, we're trying to do shit
nobody's ever done.
Okay, so that's...
That's step number one.
Does that qualify as shit talking?
I think so.
I mean, I'm going to say props.
Like, I've never done a full Iron Man.
So, yeah, what the fuck am I talking about?
But props for doing that seven days.
in a row because even just running a marathon every day is hard right so now you're swimming 2.4 and biking
112 on top of it took tons of respect and we kind of have to pull the props back because he hasn't
done it yet right so all so maybe props potential props potential props the props are pending
props pending the way my bank account works is it's three days to clear props at three business days
Right, right. So it was a weekend.
Give us some time.
National holiday.
When is he doing this shit?
In a month, I guess.
I don't know.
Like I said, I can't keep track of all of them, just like I can't keep.
Why is that fucking empty too?
Did you pick that out?
That's what you just took, isn't it?
You threw the first one as everything.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, no one.
Okay.
Okay.
The other thing we got to talk about is you were just in Vegas.
You mentioned it at the beginning.
Yeah.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?
Okay, good.
And podcast is over.
Yeah. It was crazy. It was, I don't know, there's a lot of stars there. Fucking big show.
Dude. A McGregor fight, well, that's this last one probably, that it's going to be as big as it was.
But a McGregor fight is like, unlike any other in UFC. I mean, he brings so much attention.
So many stars come because they want to see it. He hasn't fought in five years.
years. So everyone was fucking there. And yeah, it was, it was amazing fights except for the
last, the big, the big show, the main event. The main event. I was going to say title,
but it wasn't a title, but the main event. What a disappointment. Yeah, I mean,
I've seen a lot of things of people like, oh, he was injured before and I don't know about any
of that. But I do know he didn't quite have the same.
aura when he walked out. I saw like a glimpse where he looked unsure of his I saw a little like when he's
in there his face and I'm just like wow he kept looking around he looked like worried it seemed
different for sure yeah as his walkout I was telling I was like this I don't like this.
Yeah he wasn't like hopping or you know on his way out to his song all hyped but I don't know
the way I want to see people come out is like Patty came out.
Mm-hmm.
He looked relaxed.
God.
I love him.
That guy, he is amazing.
I mean, I've been watching shit on him now since I got back.
And, you know, his first profile when he's 16, he looks like, he looks like Tanner when he was 16.
This little skinny blonde kid.
And, but he fought like a 24 or 30-year-old guy and won.
but he looked
I mean he's been doing this for a while
yeah freaking stud
yeah and it was good
obviously he lost his last fight before this one
so yeah it was good to see him
Gachy was a tough matchup for him
but he lasted at five you know
I mean Tupuria didn't didn't do that
he got fucking busted up
and you know Patty got
busted up but not like that
no and also to submit
someone in whatever it was 31 seconds
and that guy looks scary
and it's not like
you know you come out okay you could get caught by like a big shot and it could be over in 30 seconds
but winding up finding yourself getting submitted in that amount of time yeah that's tough i mean
he comes out guy had i guess i don't know if it's a good game plan but uh i'm not a pro fighter
i don't know if you do that yeah comes out amateur fighter though yeah oh yeah i've been in on the streets
dude look out um um
out, I think throws a head kick and then shoots right in.
Head on Patty's side.
Not where you want your head, dude.
No.
Not against a fucking anaconda.
Yes.
Or like a boat, I don't know, or like, no, it's like a crocodile because how he
latched on and then that guy was rolling.
It was like, remind me of a crocodile rolling and just could not, it just got sunk in deeper
and deeper when he rolled because Patty somehow put his legs up on fucking top.
I know.
He's bent down like his head by his head.
Like these legs could have went behind his his own head.
So flexible and just like, yeah.
And I thought, I thought that guy tapped like on the first roll.
I thought I saw something.
Then he was fucking out for a while.
I know.
Well, Patty was talking to the ref.
He's like, he's out.
He's out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was, can you imagine?
Because if you saw that guy any other setting.
Oh.
And somebody said, hey, that guy's a, he's special forces and wherever the fuck he's from.
And he's a UFC fighter.
Would you be like, yeah, I'm going to go fuck with him a little bit?
I mean, he looks like the thickest, manliest beard ever, jacked and ripped.
And you're like, and pro and tough?
No, I'm, I'm, I think I'll watch this one.
I think I got to go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But, and then Patty, who looks like, he,
I mean, he's obviously in great shape, but looks happy and just fucking
relaxed chokes him out in under a minute.
Yeah.
Insane.

Out in the mountains, there's no room for wheat gear.
When I'm packing out meat in the heat or loading up for a long-range training trip,
I need a cooler that holds the line every time.
That's why I use grizzly coolers.
These things are bareproof, rugged as hell, and keep eye.
I've locked in for days, literally.
I've had coolers on the trail, baking in the sun,
still holding ice after hauling out out quarters.
That's performance you can count on.
Whether you're running deep in the backcountry
or just stacking meat for the weekend,
Grizzly is built for that grind.
Right now, you can get 20% off at grizzlycoolers.com
with the code, keep hammering.
And that's all one word.
And I'm not going to spell it.
Keep hammering.
Again, keep hammering.
one word for 20% off.
Don't roll with weak gear.
Go Grizzly.
It's like that compared to McGregor's,
and I obviously have seen a ton of McGregor's early walkouts
since the loss.
People have been making edits.
But it's like in those early ones,
it looked like he knew he had already won
when he walked out to the fight.
It was like so much confidence.
Yeah.
The problem is,
do you know that when he came out,
out and was on his role.
Like when he beat Mendez for the interim,
then he beat Aldo,
and then he beat Eddie Alvarez in New York.
But when he beat Mendez,
he was like 25.
Yeah.
Dude, it was a while ago.
Yeah.
And now he's 38.
So when you're 20,
you're so much different.
That's 13 years.
But then five of those years,
he's partying,
drinking fucking Coke,
you know,
steroids trying to,
or whatever he took to heal
from that broken leg,
not training or probably training a little just because he wanted to be jacked but not training training
like fight training like all these guys in that time period of from when he's 25 to when he's 38
these guys have got so much fucking better i mean these fighters the level every almost every
card but for sure every year it's like the skill goes up because everybody's learning more
working harder and he's he's still living off that aura from yeah when he's in his mid 20s
and king of the world is fucking over.
It is over, baby.
It is so over.
Yeah.
And when you haven't trained your body,
so at that time, he was so obsessed with training.
It's like all he thought about.
He was so flexible,
rolling around on his neck and doing all this crazy.
I remember Nate Diaz said he's in the park playing touch butt.
He had this movement coach.
Yeah.
And he was so fluid.
Yeah.
And when you're obsessed,
and that's all you think about all you do.
You're not insanely rich.
And I also think this is part of it too.
He fought at 170 this weekend,
which doesn't hardly require any cutting.
When he was fighting Aldo 145,
he looked like a corpse.
And that much suffering and sacrifice to get to 145,
you are reminded every day why you're doing it,
how hard it is, how much it hurts,
and why it means so much.
So without that cutting and sacrifice,
I just don't think you're invested
like you are when you have a hard weight cut to do.
Yeah, 170 is easy.
Right.
But everything's easier now.
You got money.
You probably don't train as hard,
so that's easy.
You don't have to weight cut.
That's easy.
Everything's easy.
But guess what?
Easy doesn't make you a fucking savage.
No.
And I mean,
who knows who would have won that fight?
We didn't get to see anything.
But I think you're right.
it's you got to have something like or at least the win makes it all worth it so you're hungry for
it's like if you're going to go through all that suffering you better fucking win that's it's just
that job if you're not a hundred percent in that's not the job to to take i mean i i understand
how what it might feel like walking into arena channing your name the music the lights
and like a gladiator going into the colosseum that must be like a feeling unlike any other but
if you're not a hundred percent in that shit it's fucking disaster yeah i mean and it's like when we had
cowboy here you know and he was saying like if you're not a hundred percent in it that little crack
those doubts and then trying to find a way out seeps its way in and then you find that out you give that
you get given that door you'll take it yeah at end
any cost.
Not the same as like working as an accountant.
And you know, you find it out.
I always also like wondering, just thinking out loud, hey, I'm a fucking huge Connor
fucking dick writer.
So don't don't, don't think that this is critical in any way.
I mean, I want to be a little critical just because I'm trying to be honest.
But I just don't.
I don't know.
It's, uh, God, what, what was my point?
Um.
while you think yeah you said you know every card the fighters are better and better if you take
connor at his peak do you think he doesn't stack up against i don't know i mean he was so dynamic
at that time and like what do you tried to do i i saw him in the back practicing that kick yeah
and what he was trying to do and he he used to be this guy who here's a problem he used to be
the mystic mac yeah he'd say he's like when he's fought all that
Aldo, he saw Aldo's right hand twitching, right?
Who knows if he did or not?
But he said he saw it, so he knew he was going to come with the big right, and he's going
to counter with the left.
So he has these plans in his head, and it did happen.
Yeah.
Like what he was saying happened, right?
So people, like when he walked in the cage and the Octon, I believe he knew he's going to
win and his opponent knew he's going to win, right?
So then it was just because he manifested that shit.
would say that. His most famous
thing was like, if you see it here, you think
it here, you envision it, it's going to happen.
So he's still trying to do that.
I just don't think he believes anymore.
I think he
and so what happened is he tried
that thing he's trying in the back
that move spinning fucking
wheel kick or whatever the hell was. But Max
moved, so he tried to
overextend and it put him in a position
that his body wasn't warmed up for.
It's the first kick of the fight.
It's like, fuck.
Why are we, come on.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
It's a huge bummer.
I'm a huge,
huge Connor fan.
I hated to see it.
I wanted to see a good scrap.
I like Max too, though.
Max is like, you know,
he's just a freaking warrior.
But man, I just,
I want that excitement.
Here's what reminded me of.
It reminded me of Tyson in his glory days
was unbeatable.
And then you always,
all his fights when he's old,
you were hoping for that young Tyson again
and it just doesn't happen.
Yeah.
It's just the fight game is fucking brutal.
Yeah, it's like, you know, I don't know.
I guess people so badly want to see that again
because the energy was insane.
Yeah.
I mean, turn on the counter fight
and everyone would be rooting for him.
It would just be nuts.
Yeah.
I don't know if he's going to come back for another fight,
but if he does, I feel like it'll be less.
Who's going to trust it?
Yeah.
I mean, nobody's going to, we all still sort of believed because we were like still on that, that McGregor magic.
And now, I, fucking dude, I don't, it's going to be, I'm not going to say it's not going to sell at all.
He's a huge star.
But it's not going to be the same.
Did they release like an official statement of what his injury was?
I didn't see.
I haven't seen it.
Because I was going to say, I mean.
Oh, that's what I was going to say.
Dude, got it.
Thank you.
Okay.
So here's what I don't understand.
Um, we just saw Yuri.
Do you know who he is with the ponytail up here?
He had his guy.
I can't remember who he fought now, but blew out his leg, blew out his knee.
And Yuri's like, didn't know what to do.
The guy was hurt.
So the guy backed into the cage fucking knocked Yuri out, won the belt.
Yeah.
So it's like, Connor, yeah, your knee.
I've seen Tim Sylvia get his arm snapped and say, no, it's fine.
He wants to fight.
I, Corey Sandoaghan got his.
fucking hamstring ripped off yeah i don't know if you saw it today or yesterday it's bruised but his
hamstring kind of got ripped from behind and it's like huge he won the next round that's so brutal
so maybe you blew out your knee some people said maybe it's meniscus but fight come on
what the what the fuck so your so your knees blown out yeah fight go out on your shield or
there's either there's other fights where a similar thing has happened and the ref let it play out
Let Max beat the shit out of him
Yeah, and then stop it if he lands some hard shots
I mean looking at the ref and waiting for it to stop is like, come on
No, that's what I don't get.
It's like, okay, there's an injury.
Fight.
Yeah.
What the fuck are we doing?
Yeah, back into the cage and throw some haymakers.
Yeah, because that's what the guy who fought Yuri did
and fucking caught him and dropped his ass.
Yeah.
With a blow, and he had a blown out ACL.
And at the least, the crowd gets a little bit.
I mean, they got fucking nothing.
Nothing.
And they paid to be there.
I was sitting by Ariana.
She used to be like a ring card girl.
And we were like, I was saying, who do you want Patty?
Yeah, I want Patty to.
And then like when that happened with Connor, she's just like, she goes, what's going on?
I said, it's over.
She's like, what?
I said, it's over.
He's hurt.
It's done.
Could not believe it was over.
Yeah.
It was fucking nuts.
I mean, I would be pissed.
So that's the, that's the juxtposition.
Connor the ultimate showman
Showman put on the biggest star
Every time you went to McGregor fight he delivered to this
Fucking nobody satisfied with this not one
Max Holloway couldn't even be satisfied if it wasn't for the money
I mean and I don't even know how it's a real fight
I don't even know how I mean
He never threw a punch no
Not a single one yeah it was a huge bummer
I mean I get
got to hang out with ketone that was fun we went to this crazy nice restaurant um who else did i hang
out oh yeah then i went out to after the fice with joe this place god this place is this restaurant
nice nick is the owner of it it's an italian restaurant in Vegas or it's in henderson but best food
i've ever had it was i don't even he said something about the olive oil like he's like this
olive oil here. He goes, I don't even know how it goes. It goes something like this. But this olive
oil is a first harvest after seven years, the olives after seven years of this plant growing. So for
whatever reason after seven years, it's like prime olive oil. They get that. And that's what he
uses. So these ingredients of this shit are like, I'm like, hey, dude, listen, I, I,
I eat eggo waffles and cereal with water.
So I don't want you to waste.
Keep the seven-year-old olive oil.
I don't have, do you have a corn dog?
I fucking, this, I did not feel like I was worthy of this food.
I had a van I sold when I was 20 to this guy who said he was an olive oil salesman on the West Coast.
Yeah.
I just assumed he was a drug runner.
But maybe he actually was.
I don't know.
I didn't know all of oil was that sought after.
There's a market for it, I guess.
I guess.
I don't know.
But you and played touch butt in that van with him, didn't you?
I mean, I gave him a good deal, so I'd get something out of it.
That's cool.
Yeah.
That's cool.
I said, I'll give you two grand off if you let me suck your teeth.
Oh, this is my trick with the girl with the licorice.
If you let me ride your bike, I'll eat your liquor.
Yes.
See?
Girls are smart.
the um taking advantage of the mentally impaired one of my favorite pastimes yeah so fun um when you were
there i was looking i was waiting for them to show you on tv yeah like you know the title or
whatever so i could take a video and be like having to work from home and then i was going to take
photos of you on the tv oh yeah but you never got put on the big screen and that's probably because
they were fucking up the celebrity i know title so bad yeah yeah
Yeah, I felt I could, I could sympathize with Dana at that moment.
He was pissed, wasn't he?
We're the worst.
The worst.
Oh, God, that was an awesome rant.
I mean, you would think you'd get that part right.
You'd think.
But knowing the logistics behind it, I don't know how long of a delay there is, but you put a title card, you get a title card popped up.
And then if the camera guy, if the director cuts to the wrong camera, and it's just on
some random dude.
Well, okay.
Also, this, you get some
badass black guys with a bunch
of jewelry.
They're all fucking studs.
Yeah.
They all look amazing.
They'll have all this bling on.
If they're a fighter,
we're not used to seeing all that.
If they're a basketball player
or I don't know who they mixed it up with.
There's a fight.
It was a boxer, right?
And, uh,
oh, Kendrick Lamar.
Or no.
No, no.
That was a different one.
I'm trying to remember the name of the guy
that they had on screen.
played for okayc
oh yeah i don't know
anyways but when they're not in their normal stuff
when they don't have a number on in their last name on this
yeah exactly it's just like so but somebody should
if they haven't they have tickets or their VIPs
they're in a seat that has their name on yeah
so i think that the camera guys
or the producer should have that floor plan
with the seating and they should go okay go get
whoever that got
that guy was and it shouldn't be that hard.
No, but.
And if you're unsure, fucking double, can you double check?
Yeah, maybe just quick look up on the phone.
Could be Snoop Dog, could be.
Yeah, Chet Holmgren.
He was there too.
Oh, was he?
Yeah.
Was David there?
Who?
Guggins?
Yeah.
Yeah, that's what I thought.
I thought I saw him standing behind you.
Like the one time you were flashed on TV.
Yeah, yeah.
You were in the background kind of blurry at one point.
And I was like, oh, there he is.
and Brooke was like, I don't see him.
And I was like, I can recognize the mannerisms.
Yeah.
No, Joe's wife and daughters were there.
So they got the VIP seat.
So we were behind them.
You were with the peasants.
No, not exactly.
Because like the ketone had the seats.
It was still first level, but like up off the floor.
And I was like, how much were these seats?
Five grand.
And then I'm looking down.
And it's like good seats, but I'm looking down.
I'm looking down where I normally sit.
I'm looking down where I'm,
was sitting with ketone,
then I look where I was normally sit.
I'm like,
I gotta go do something.
So I watched,
I did sit up with Jeff and watch a couple fights,
but for the big fights I went down.
Yeah.
For sure.
And I got a pass.
I can go anywhere.
Ooh.
That's nice.
Yeah,
it's pretty handy.
I mean, in your video,
it looks like you were right there
for like when McGregor walked out.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, no, I was sitting down right by the octagon there.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's sick.
Yeah, so it's, I mean, great seats from Michael Branden, Ketone.
That was an awesome, I mean, it's so fun hanging out with them, but not as good as seats as ringside.
Yeah.
Or cage side.
And that's all love.
Yeah, no, I do love those guys.
I went, I went to the gym.
The gym where I stayed was sick.
It's like a really good gym.
But Michael Brandt was in there.
I said, what are you doing?
Getting your 10 miles?
He's on the treadmill, sweating his ass off.
He's like, nope, 12.
I mean, he, he fucking grinds, dude.
I would rather shoot myself than run 12 miles on a treadmill.
I know I've never done, I've never done 12 total on a treadmill my entire life.
I haven't.
I hate treadmills.
I do too.
But yeah, he's freaking so dedicated.
And he's like, he wants ketone to be a billion dollar company.
Yeah.
And they just passed five-hour energy in sales.
That is a big deal.
That is huge, dude.
That is huge.
I'm so, so, so his video.
actually actually like coming to life and then you know Joe talks about him I think it's not
it's not like they just Joe used to say like ketones are great he says ketone IQ yeah and it's it's huge
I mean I remember you know when we first took him on as a sponsor we'd have guests they're like
oh what's this now most people know what it is oh for sure use it yeah you know well Taylor he's doing
that hundred this weekend he came by and wanted to get a couple boxes of them for his race yeah it
fuck it work yeah they do so yeah uh i saw alp Tucker Carlson was also there yeah yeah Tucker's great
everyone was kind of sit in the same area or yeah it was uh man all the uh i don't know
theo huh theo theo oh god i love theo he's hilarious yeah he's i mean those fights dude that is
fuck dude it is so fun yeah well my last topic is what's today wednesday so a week and
Two days.
Picnic?
My picnic.
You ready?
I'm kind of scared shitless.
So let's recap.
Tell everybody what the picnic is again.
The picnic is...
Because every time you say that when I'm with you, everybody's like, the next...
Because you say the picnic and everybody's like, what the fuck's out?
Yeah, it's really not.
I just don't.
I've chosen to stop telling people.
Yeah.
It's a mountain triathlon.
It's not an actual event.
I'm not gay.
Dober.
It's not wasada.
Wasabi?
It's not wasabi
I'm not
Matt Johnson doing seven
Ironmans in seven days
You should do seven 5Ks
In seven days
I don't think I could
No him
Oh
Why not make it eight
Okay yeah get crazy
Eight 5Ks
I don't know what the record is
But he's going for eight
Yeah
Anyway
Did he really wants to talk shit
Are we just doing it for free
No he wants us to talk shit
He does?
Okay
He said every time we post a shit talkers
he's like, why don't you guys talk shit about me?
Oh, fuck.
Okay.
Well, I thought he was like, you know,
busting his ass trying to do cool things.
But, yeah, we can definitely talk shit.
Oh, yeah.
What about Mark Doudal?
Where the fuck's he?
So he was going to come on,
what was he going to come on?
Your face.
After,
after BC,
he's going to come before hunting season.
But he's going somewhere
that's, I guess, publicly not known.
he's running in a race
that I'm not allowed to share
an Ultra
not a backyard
so we're going to get to see Mark Dowdell
in ultra format
I want to guess
which one it is
okay guess and I won't show
Badwater
No
oh I want to do bad water
Yeah can you get me in
I think it's like in two weeks
I'll pull some strings
That works out really well
when I get in races
last minute. Yeah. Well, this says you, you're thinking about doing one. I know. But also,
dude, people love that fucking me being a fucking, oh, coconut. Quitting puss. Yeah.
That's what we should have named it. Quit a lot of puss. Yeah. It's like, yeah,
that's my, what are those called? Dinosaur names. Quit a lot of puss. What are dinosaurs
called? Or, uh, lick a lot of pus. Yeah, no, but you guys crush that film.
Oh, that was all Tyler.
He's the goat.
Well, he did get, I don't know, you filmed it.
Yeah.
Or wait.
Yeah.
We both did.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, it was fun.
I'm glad it came out well for, you know, and you fucked us over by not finishing.
Yeah.
But.
For not even making it halfway.
Yeah.
Turned out pretty damn good.
I mean, I saw, I think, I saw some films on guys who won actually big ultras that have less views.
And I'm like, fuck.
that would be irritating if I was them.
Yeah.
This fucking old dipshit bow hunter.
A couple more tips to you saw that just came in.
I guess.
Jeez.
Yeah.
But you guys did a great job.
I thought the storytelling was good.
I thought the camera work was good.
Yeah.
It's all good.
But anyway, picnic.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
So it's a mountain triathlon, not an actual event.
It's just a thing deemed by kind of dirtbags to go do.
Yeah.
And a picnic is you climb, you bike, you swim in the mountains, and this is like the granddaddy of them all.
So you bike from Jackson to Jenny Lake, it's 23 miles, swim across Jenny Lake 1.3,
and then some at the grand 10 miles, 7,000 feet of 7, 720, 7,200 feet of vert.
And then do it all again on your way back to town.
And the crux is the second swim because the water is like 55 degrees.
So I've been cold plunging at 50 pretty fucking gold.
Yeah, let me think, but no wetsuit.
I got a wetsuit.
Okay, yeah.
Well, that'll help.
And does it float?
Yeah.
Okay, that helps.
Why is it harder on the way back because you're just tired?
Yeah, you're tired.
A lot of people take too long on the ground.
They get down to that second swim and it's dark again and you just lose all motivation.
Yeah.
So the plan is to start at two.
So I am, so I get down to that lake when I'm hot, it's the middle of the day, and hoping the water will feel good for the first couple hundred meters.
How, why is it called the picnic?
That's just what people call doing that in the mountains.
I don't know.
I mean, other people call it the Grand Teton triathlon, but triathons are gay.
What about high rocks, no.
Oh, hybrid rock star.
Yeah.
No.
What about time?
What's your time goal?
I'm going for sub 16.
That would be like, I would feel like I didn't just survive it.
I actually did.
Pushed.
Yeah, push.
Okay.
So we'll see.
I don't know.
I mean, the running, I'm not, like, I'm not too worried about that.
I think I can do it.
I have some confidence.
Where's the running from the lake to where you got to kind of get the big vert?
Yeah, so you get out of the lake.
And the first, like, three miles are flat.
You just run along the base of the mountains until you can take the trail up.
And then even then, there's a lot of switch back.
It's not too bad.
A little bit of gain, obviously, until you get to the saddle and then it's fucking straight up.
Okay.
So we'll see.
I mean, you don't see anybody for 20 miles, so you got to carry all your shit on your back.
Oh, yeah.
But there's a little mountain stream out there that spits out.
And it was going to do with Nicolino, who was going to go for the FKT.
But he's getting surgery beginning of August on his knee.
It sucks.
Yeah.
So he's a quitter.
Everyone's quitting.
So now I have to carry a.
the boats alone.
But I'm excited.
Oh, that's going to be sick.
It's been a lot of training amounting to this.
Who's all going with you?
Brooke, her parents, and then Larry Connor Larry.
Oh, nice.
For support.
Oh, good.
Yeah.
Well, that'd be fun.
Yeah.
It'll be fun to be at the bottom of the lake.
Yeah.
And have them, like, can they drag the bottom of the lake for bodies?
Is that how it works?
I think probably just in a dive team.
Yeah.
So we'll see.
I don't know.
Good times.
I'm ready for it to be over, that's for sure.
It reminds me of there's a new Sydney Sweeney movie out.
Did you see it?
No.
And there's a body in the lake.
What's it called?
It's actually pretty fucked up the movie.
Really?
Yeah.
I can't ransom.
Or no.
I don't know what it's called.
Does she show her boobs?
If not, it's not a Sydney-Sweeney movie, because that's the only...
I don't think so.
I think she has to offer.
But she's kind of a drug out, like a strung out druggy.
So you could talk her into lots of shit probably.
But I don't think it showed her boobs.
That's good.
She's being wholesome now.
No, she was not wholesome.
But yeah, just like fucked up on drugs.
It's pretty sad, actually.
But yeah.
Come out in the theaters?
I don't know.
But it's not bad.
The Odyssey comes out this week.
I know.
Comes out on Friday.
You know that guy who was in.
in the movie in the what was the movie i did oh yeah yeah he's in that movie what yeah the dad
the dad of the kidnapped girl oh really he was like getting all pissed and i had to like settle down
he's in odyssey oh that's sick yeah he had a good i think he's got a good role in it
he was good when you were doing that movie yeah he's really good actor so i think he you know i don't
know what you know what it'll be edited out but i know he had a decent role and he'd been filming that
Good for him.
I know.
That's a sweet, apparently it's really good.
I was skeptical as Helen of Troy's person of color.
Oh, yeah.
And then Achilles is a tranny.
Oh.
Right?
In Troy?
No, Helen of Troy.
Oh, Helen?
I don't know if I saw that.
No, in Odyssey.
Oh, really?
Troy is a person of color.
No issues with that.
But Helen of Troy is supposed to be like this beautiful woman
that they basically start the war over.
Oh, I didn't know all this.
I'm sure you're not.
Yeah.
I mean, so should be Margo Robbie.
Thank you.
Right.
It's not that fucking hard.
Write a check.
Yeah.
Should be fine.
Be perfect for that.
So what's the tranny?
It's supposed to be Achilles who was played by Brad Pitt in whatever movie that is.
Definitely not a tranny in them in Troy.
Yeah.
That was Troy.
No.
Who is this person?
It's not that fucking Elliot.
Yeah, Elliot Page.
Elliot Page.
That's it.
What?
Did you not know this?
I mean, I saw, I think I saw something like they were trying to be like a gladiator type.
Yeah.
It looked fucking tiny.
I remember I saw, like, what is this supposed to be?
That's in, I mean, okay.
Well, that's.
That's going to fuck it up for me.
I can't.
What does Elliot Page weigh 100 pounds?
If that.
What would happen in a battle?
They better do a good job with this movie showing because I know it would probably happen in a battle with somebody like that.
You can't tell me that he.
I don't know.
That they.
I don't give a fuck about trainees.
Fine.
Do whatever you want.
But I can't.
You can't expect me to believe this shit.
Now, this is like.
Casting Ariel and Little Mermaid as a person of color.
Or snow white.
Or casting Pocahontas as a white girl.
Doesn't make sense.
Or casting Moana as a Mexican.
Right.
Come on.
I'm not just hate everybody.
No, there's a certain type cast that needs to fit.
Now, and if I, if we went back and we asked Homer, who wrote The Odyssey,
what he thought of these cash choices.
I don't think he would be very happy.
Right.
So isn't that how we should be,
if we're trying to make these movies,
I guess there's realistic as possible.
Yeah.
Shouldn't we nail that part?
I think so.
And did we give it to them just for the DEI?
Diversion equity included.
I know.
I don't know.
Do they get?
Tax break.
I mean, I don't know why you do it.
I don't either.
I'm still going to go see it because I've been super excited to see it, but.
Yeah.
I know I was talking to somebody in Vegas.
They got, they bought tickets and they're showing they're going to is August 8th.
But it's on some screen in LA.
I think even bigger.
Oh.
I don't even know what the fuck would be.
So that the sphere?
That would be sick.
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't think it was there.
I thought it was in L.A.
But, but I don't know.
Anyway, he had to buy him that far in advance.
Whoa.
Yeah.
it's yeah it'll be cool but huh i don't i hate that dude just fucking make the movies like
history details i mean to be fair the greeks did kind of crumble because they became obsessed
with sexuality so yeah maybe maybe this is part maybe it's part of it maybe it's more accurate
than we think yeah maybe we're the idiot oh we are the idiots yeah but yeah bigger idiots but
that's it that's all i had yeah um did i have anything else
I don't think so.
I saw you driving around shirtless today.
Yeah.
That's not safe.
Piss test.
I did you have a piss test on that.
Cheater.
Oh my God.
Doper.
Yeah.
I think I've, now I've worked that out at the beginning of the podcast.
Now I'm not mad anymore.
Well, I don't think you came across Matt at all.
No.
No.
It was all love.
It was all just jocularity.
Yeah.
All right, guys.
That is Shit Talkers Weekly 31.
We appreciate the love and support.
And Sirenara.
Sarenara.
Sara.
Sara.
Or what else do we got?
Alveda Zane.
Okay.
Keep cramering.
Later, guys.
One of the hardest parts of hunting is glassing big country to find animals you know are there.
That's why I run Sig Sauer Zulu imaging,
stabilizing binoculars.
when I'm covering a lot of ground and need to see everything.
These binoes are a complete game changer.
After long climbs, when your heart rates up and your hands aren't steady,
shaky glass makes it hard to stay locked in.
With image stabilization, everything settles down.
You can slow the process, really pick apart the country,
and catch movement you normally miss.
I found more animals and saved a ton of time because of these binoes.
I actually just talked about how impressive.
this technology is on the most recent episode of the Joe Rogan experience.
Once you use stabilized glass, it's hard to go back.
It gives you a real advantage when you're hunting big open terrain.
And here's the rare part.
Optics companies almost never offer discounts,
but Sig is giving listeners of this podcast 10% off.
Just use code cam at checkout.
