Every step I take I move my truth.
Every time they tell me stop I use.
Every comment hate that makes my fuel.
Gather up my energy and boom.
I hear them talking, saying the way that I move it's so reckless.
That is a part of my mind I've been blessed with.
Giving my blood so I am relentless.
This is shit.
Talkers Weekly.
Holy shit.
33.
Where have we been, dude?
It's been a while.
We got abducted by aliens.
It's been a long time.
Well.
It's been a long time.
And then before that, we had James Visser.
We had a guest shit talkers.
Right.
So the pure shit talkers, it's been a while.
It's been a while.
Yeah.
People are angry.
The OG.
I mean, we haven't done one.
I had a gold tooth the last time we did.
Yeah.
I knew there was something different about you.
Yeah.
So that's how long ago it's been.
But, man, what a freaking grind.
We're on shit talkers Weekly 33.
So guys, just remember.
Just remember.
please we don't know what we're going to say
actually we do because it's scripted
it is 100% scripted scripted but
it is all love baby
it is all love and especially
now it's all love because you and I are changed
I
dude we are
our hearts got changed on the stone
sheep hunt in northern BC
with the legend Kurt
McGee and Wes
Yoder yeah legends
like the legend
let's see he'll say legend A
and legend 1A.
Yeah.
I think Kurt's a little bit higher.
Yeah.
Right?
I mean, yeah, he's got just a little bit.
Yeah.
40 Rams under his belt.
And just the craziest stories.
And like he's 30.
I don't know how you get 40 Rams at that age.
But I mean, he's, you know, we say he hasn't killed him.
He's guided him.
I don't think he's even killed his sheep.
But for the guy, it's basically, that's,
it's kind of their animals how we kind of determine it like how many of you guys just like
reg 125 yeah also a legend okay starting off we might as well talk about that YouTube
what's the do what's wrong with you guys I know we've and how did that so we took out every
reference to um god now I just oh yeah beers that bleep all these all of these Macy yeah
So you take out every reference, why is it still taken down?
YouTube hates us.
I don't get it.
We're victims.
We are.
Yeah, we are.
This is why we can't catch a break.
Maybe in the appeal, Macy needs to put in there that we had a change of heart.
Oh, right.
And we forgive YouTube.
And it's all love.
Oh.
What are we going to talk about on shit talkers?
Do we have a list?
We got a list.
Okay.
It's been a while, so I had to go back and find some other lists.
But I think we'll probably have some stuff that comes up organically and then this list.
But we've got to explain why you sound like you've been smoking cigarettes for.
Yeah, God.
I've got sick as shit somehow.
So first of all, I didn't sleep.
So we were in BC for about three weeks.
And I didn't get.
one good night of sleep in three weeks.
And also, on top of it, so stressed out from this freaking hunt.
And it's like, this is all going to come down to one shot.
So I was like, I had stress, no sleep.
So anyway, on the heels of that, got the ram killed.
Amazing.
Couldn't have done it without the guys.
We've said that in the captions.
But getting home is very similar to Kokadona.
last year. Yeah. I think there's these things where when I lay everything I have out,
I am freaking ripe for some sickness, illness, something to attach to me. So anyway, it's,
yeah, I got something after I got back and had a little fever. And so just kind of been
been battling that. Shoot my bow a lot. When I was younger, I used to know if I was really
sick because I couldn't check off.
You know it's bad.
Yeah, you're not even into that.
Yeah.
I think that's, yeah, so I'm, I guess I'm pretty sick then.
Yeah, but anyways, a little, a little change of pace.
Anyway.
Anyway.
Yeah.
I use ketone IQ when I need to stay sharp for the long haul.
Long runs, lifting, before I shoot my bow, even when I'm podcasting, anytime I want steady focus without crashing.
What I like about it is how it feels.
It helps me stay locked in during long efforts and mentally demanding sessions, not jittery, not wired, just clear and steady.
Ketones are your brain's preferred fuel source.
So instead of that spiked caffeine feeling, the focus feels calm and controlled.
It lets me push without leaning on caffeine or sugar.
I'm not chasing another cup of coffee or something sweet just to get through a workout or a long day.
I can train, work, and think without that roller coaster of energy.
Physically, I feel ready to go.
Mentally, I'm locked in.
That combination matters when you're putting in long hours and real work.
Visit ketone.com backslash cam for 30% off your subscription order, plus receive a free gift with your second shipment.
Or find ketone IQ at Target stores nationwide in the hydration and protein aisle and get your first shot free.
I've been shooting Hoyt for over 20 years now, and they're a lifetime partner of mine.
That's not something I take lightly.
I stay with partners that prove themselves, and Hoyt continues to do that year after year.
They shattered the industry standards and built the AX-90, the first 90-pound bow to exist and be offered to consumers.
Why? Because I want a hard-hitting arrow delivered with enough force to push through, say, a rib or the edge of a shoulder blade.
Because it's bow hunting. Not every shot is going to be perfect.
But when the animal reacts, or maybe I don't make the most perfect shot, I still want to deliver a lethal arrow and a 90-pound bow-hound.
bow gives me more room for error. Unfortunately, they don't offer discounts on bows, but if you
want to grab some Hoyt merch or selected accessories, you can use my code, CAM for 20% off. If you're
serious about archery and you want something you can rely on, shoot a Hoyt. Get serious, get Hoyt,
and keep hammering. We did miss the last sole ultra, so we got to talk about that. God, okay. Yeah, and
even bigger than that the project seven that's on here and i did message him and i said i don't want to
but i got to talk shit on it no okay let's get that another way mad johnson good job buddy you did
your seven uh iron mans in seven days six and a half six and a half he didn't do all seven
what that's what the shit i had to talk on it why
So the six day he took, it took all day for him to complete it.
And then they had an event on the seventh day planned.
And he couldn't complete the seventh Ironman before that event.
So he did as much as he could up to that point.
Now, please tell me he finished after this event.
Please tell me he finished it off.
And that's where my problem lies.
I didn't know all this.
that being said he did raise a lot of money for veterans that's awesome it's a great cause he raised it was a
good chunk of change um but yeah props for that yeah of course that's that's actually the important part
and and he did it did seem like you know in in the amount of time he gave himself he laid it all out there
but in my mind and i'm going to use buffrunner as an example you know we in jest in good fun we talked a little
shit like 15 days wasn't going to happen and he didn't hit it but he didn't give up after 15 days he
stayed out there and finished all thousand miles and how can you not respect that yeah you're still
getting done what you said you were going to get done so i did i i i get so i've been involved
not personally but in both sides of this before so that buff runner one that's a good one
finishing off when she started no matter how long it takes right um when truitt did is one
to get his first hundred done.
He's doing a 24 hour out here at Bristow.
And in 24 hours, he was at, I think, 90 miles.
So this is before he's the freaking beast who he is right now.
This is years ago.
But there's a rap at 90.
The race was over.
And so I don't think, I can't remember when we discussed it.
Probably after we left, but I said, you know what Goggins would have done?
And Gagins did do that at Moab.
He fucking got pulled, was an ER, went back out on the course and finished.
But I said, Gaggins would have fucking got his 100 miles, whether it took 25, 26, 27, 30, whatever.
Right.
100 miles is a goal.
So, but there's a time when you've been pushing so hard and you've given all you've had every day and you hurt.
I get, hey, it's over, race is over.
I did the best I could.
And who's going to say anything other than dumb fucks like us?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. It's all a good fun. Matt, you did a great job. And you were the one out there doing it. You did six and a half or whatever. It ended up being Iron Man's. Yeah. That's still a crazy accomplishment. I just would have loved to see you after the event get back out there. I mean, how epic would that have been?
Yeah. That would have raised a lot more money. Yeah. On top of it. Just because people love to see that dog. You know what I mean? Yeah.
And so was it called Project 6.5?
What was it?
I just,
and I do remember in his promo.
This is shit talkers.
You can't,
don't hold it against us.
It's all love.
We're just having fun.
And I do remember in his promo that he clipped our voices in,
one of us,
me,
said,
what's seven?
Well,
apparently seven is too much.
I think we even got beat up for that.
Didn't we?
A little bit.
People that didn't know that it was, you know, we were just joking around.
No, hey, we're on team, Matt.
We're on team, Matt.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think this is just a very important lesson that we all have learned from right here.
Definitely.
No, Matt, nothing by respect.
Good job.
Yeah, do you know how much you raised?
I know the organization hit 500,000 lifetime.
I don't know how much from the event.
Oh, sick.
But a good amount.
Good job.
Good job, Matt and his team.
And, yeah, way to push.
Way to.
It's hard coming up with these projects.
Yeah.
You know, so I get it.
And here's the other thing.
I saw a video the other day of Matt, someone posted, not him, that he was in a bike
and some kid was there.
He had saved up his money all summer to buy a bike and Matt bought it for him.
Oh, yeah.
So, yeah.
That's the kind of shit I like.
Yeah.
So he's fucking whatever.
Yeah, exactly.
It's really easy to be in the cheap seats and criticize.
I mean, the show is just love, though.
But it's like, I get it and I respect it.
You're doing great things.
Keep it up.
Yeah.
Let's keep dreaming bigger.
Helping more people if we can and just making an impact.
Like buying a bike for that kid, fucking amazing.
I think that was super cool.
It's amazing.
So I love it.
We're team Matt, just fucking talking shit.
Just talking shit.
That's the name of the show.
What do you expect?
Yeah.
But yeah, okay, so back to the last soul ultra.
Oh, God.
We got to talk about this.
Yeah, this is, there's some drama in this one.
Yeah.
So Mark Dowdell, one of one.
Friend of the show.
Friend of the show.
Where the fuck is he, by the way?
October 1st.
Okay.
That work?
Make sure it works before.
He said that work, because he has Biggs October 17th.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No, I think, I told somebody else something about beginning of October now.
Okay, well.
Be nice if somebody could keep tracking this shit.
But yeah, let's do it.
Okay.
You heard it here first, folks.
Then he can be here for my birthday.
Perfect.
It'll be a marked outal birthday present.
Yeah.
And, okay, so 306 miles, last soul ultra,
Kim, Gottschawago.
Gotwold.
Gotwold, yeah.
Well, German.
Gottwald.
Whatever, but these guys, they're also complete savages,
but also put on amazing events.
This like with the coins and all the shit that he did.
The coverage.
So sick.
Incredible.
Yeah.
So in Rapid, I think, is his brand.
Yeah.
a fucking private jet.
Yeah, I think Kim chartered a private jet for him.
Yeah.
And he showed up like 15 minutes before the race started.
And normally like if you know anything about ultras or like stuff like this, these people
are so, I mean, I'm like the antithesis of this, but they're so structured.
All their stuff is so perfect.
You're showing up 15 minutes is like disaster for most people because you want to get your sleep in before.
or you need to get the calories in, your, your car blow,
your shakeout run, all the shit.
And then for Mark to do that,
and then also go and crush it and beat everyone,
it's,
it's unreal, dude.
I don't.
I don't know.
I, I, I texted him and I said,
I'm at a loss for words because what is his ceiling?
I don't know.
It didn't look like he was even close to it.
I mean,
you know,
after every race,
he says he has his dark moments out there and sure you can see it.
But then he always comes,
in and he always turns around and always keeps running.
So it's like.
And at the end, he seems like he's just sitting here just like with us.
Sit down, has a press conference, gets in the commentator's booth.
I mean.
How?
It is, I mean, it is seriously incredible.
I'm so impressed with that kid.
It's like, is he like 25?
He's 28.
Okay.
Yeah.
Still a kid.
30 years younger than me.
So I can call you a kid.
Yeah.
But yeah, what a freaking beast.
And he's huge for an ultra runner.
I don't know, understand that.
He looks like he's like 200 pounds.
Yeah.
But yeah, I'm just, he definitely is, I don't know, he's a name in the space for sure.
Like one of the biggest names, I mean, between the backyard, I think Harvey and him.
Phil Gore.
Phil Gore's.
Which is on my list to talk about it.
Oh, yeah.
He's a.
These guys are free.
I love it.
I think, I don't know.
And he also, while he's doing it, he has these incredible quotes.
How?
How does his brain even work?
I don't know.
And I mean, we, I don't know how long ago it was when we first talked about him, but
not as well known.
I think he only had 30,000 followers or something.
And it's so cool to see all of his hard work paying off.
Yeah.
Like everything, you know, he said he was going to do.
He's done.
And he's finally getting ready.
recognition for it and all these people know who he is and know his mindset. It's like, it's just super
cool. Well, I don't even know. Maybe he's full of complete shit, but it sounds so good where he says
that like his identity is not as a runner. Yeah. And not to go win the race. It's not, the goal isn't to
win the race. The goal is to see what he's capable. It's like, it sounds so good. And like he's,
he's a child of God. So he's not defined by being a runner or being the champion.
Right.
It's just, and I'm like, how the hell can you have this of perfect of an attitude?
I mean, you can't even say that it's easy to say that when you're in the winter seat because it's not.
When you're in the winter seat, you want to, you want to be like, yeah, you fuckers, I showed you.
I showed you.
And I told you the whole time.
I've worked, people I want to say like, I've worked too hard to fail and then forget about the God's blessing and the gifts you've been given to.
to do you're bestowed upon that give you this edge and you want to take all the credit that's what
most people do when they win they want to they like it's about me right and he's he's not and i don't
so you say it would be easy it's easy once you win but sometimes the ego gets out of control when you
win definitely and it hasn't with him no i mean he had that quote he said uh every step is evidence
that then what did he say the story in your mind is a lie and that was on like lap 84 and then he yells
forward well and then he's also fucking with the guy yeah we got to talk about that because there's a
split there's a split some people think it's unsportsmanlike yeah other people so there was a
heat signature camera i don't know what it was but anyway it showed like the two runners two two left
The guy in front of him, I think he was staying right behind him, right?
Right on his ass.
We got to talk about the lap before.
Okay.
Is that the slow one?
Yeah, Mark was slow.
And he was kind of laying down and stretching.
And he only made it back in with, I think, three minutes left.
Yeah, or two or something.
He's close.
And Ello, when it kept going out hot.
And so Mark turns around, doesn't even go into his tent hardly, gets his nutrition or as much as he could.
and Ella goes hot, out hot,
and Mark is right on his heels.
Yeah.
I mean,
that has to be such a mind fuck,
87 laps in.
And for people that don't,
most people know,
but the backyard ultra is 4.2 miles every hour.
You finish within the hour,
whether it takes you 30 minutes or an hour
or 59 minutes,
you either have 30 minutes off or a minute off,
but you have to be in the line
to start the top of the next hour.
Yeah.
So he came in,
what we're talking about,
58 minutes. He only had two minutes to hydrate, to get some fuel, whatever. You can't even rest.
So it wasn't looking good. When you're that close to cut off, that far in, you're like,
oh, is this, he's kind of fading. It looks like he maybe might be over. So instead of like,
oh, he got weak, then this L.O. took L or whatever, took off fast. Mark stayed right on his
ass. The guy couldn't get, couldn't get away from him. So we got frustrated, stopped.
Mark stopped.
They're both stopped.
Mark acting like he's tying his shoe.
Yeah.
Both stopped.
This guy, like, he throws up his hands.
Like, he's so frustrated.
This is like four days in with no sleep, right?
Yeah.
And then so I think we heard reports that Mark was barking at people.
Yeah, he was barking out there and yelling.
And, I mean, I don't know.
This is the thing is no one really, that was lap 87 that all this happened.
No one really knows what happened on lap 87.
because it's all, like you said, just heat signature camera.
Yeah.
And, and I mean, I was watching it live right there in our hotel room.
Yeah.
And people are like, oh, he tripped him.
You go back and watch it.
He was nowhere near him when Elo decided to stop.
Oh, yeah.
And he pulled off and then he laid down.
Right.
Mark kind of looked at him like, should I wait?
And then he took off.
Yeah.
38 minute lap.
Was it on that lap?
Yeah.
That was 38?
Yeah, because they were cooking.
I texted you.
And I was just like fucking 38.
That is flying.
And that was days into this thing.
87 laps in.
Yeah.
I mean, that's 87 hours.
That's 300 and what is that?
Like that's almost 400 miles.
Wait.
No, no, no.
Four times 87 is 320.
Right?
Yeah.
So it would have been.
So no, it couldn't have been that.
Was it?
It was 87 because it was 84 lapsed.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, it'd have been like 365.
How many miles did he go?
Let's see, 94 times 4.1s.
390.
Oh.
So anyway, deep into the race.
Yeah.
And he's crushing a 38 minute lap.
To have 22 minutes.
Yeah.
I mean.
That's a long time.
That's dangerous for a guy.
I don't know how he'd get his leg turnover that quick, that laid into it.
I don't need.
And after cramping and,
Yeah.
I don't know.
I mean, he is an animal.
Yeah, I don't get it.
I wonder what his, like, is that his talent just for that?
Because he seems too big for a straight up, like, 100.
I don't know.
He won Arrowhead 135, but that's different.
It is because you're pulling the shit.
Yeah.
So it's like more muscle helps.
I'm just wondering, I know he used to do the beer miles, right?
Yeah.
So he's got to have some speed.
I wonder what he what like a what do you do a hundred in I wonder I'd like to see it I'd like to see him in a traditional ultra yeah um yeah and then man
ello's last lap also was just so good like just pulls off into the field and lays down yeah it's like so good
yeah a lot of drama yeah that I can't wait for the film about that is going to be so sick and if it's
anything like their coverage was, it'll be above and beyond. Yeah, it's, uh, I really love what they're,
what can't, I don't know if it's just Kim or his team, but man, they're making an impact on the
space. I mean, it seems like it's a whole team. Kim has been super forward about, you know,
um, appreciating the team that made that happen, which is super cool. But yeah, also I'm sure
something like that takes a whole team. So man. Yeah, they're, they're crushing it. So
congratulations to everybody there. Mark, dude, you're a fucking, I don't,
even know what you are.
I don't either.
But I'm impressed.
Is it M.J. Egan?
Yeah.
He was there, too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How did he, I guess I didn't see how far he went.
He did 20, man, was it 20?
Like 80 miles?
Yeah, I want to say, it was just under 24 maybe, or was it just over 24?
Oh, man.
Anyway, he was 25, yeah.
He's like, he was made famous basically for his grit show during the BPN, like in a wheelchair,
mud just like caked on everything.
He's still out there like pulling his wheelchair.
Just freaking stuff.
I loved it afterwards.
He was like,
everyone was showing their feet and he's like,
oh, you guys got to check this out.
He goes down with the wheels on his wheelchair.
God.
That guy is a legend too.
That's what I love.
I just love stuff like this
because we're learning about these new people
or people that we wouldn't have.
And we're seeing, wouldn't know them otherwise,
but we're seeing them just,
just push and just like show the human spirit and it's and it's just ultimate form and it's like
it's inspiring to people oh it's so so crazy so i'm super thankful that this is happening right now and
warning this product contains nicotine nicotine is an addictive chemical no corporate playbook
just a brand that does its own thing and doesn't apologize for it that's what got my attention it's
It's tobacco-free, comes in enough flavors that everyone on the crew finds one that actually like.
And four strength levels, 3, 6, 9, and 12 milligrams, so it fits you, not the other way around.
Tuck one in, go run, go hunt, go put in the work.
That's Alp.
Head to Alpouch.com and use code cam for 10% off your first order.
One of the hardest parts of hunting is glassing big country to find animals you know are there.
That's why I run Sig-Sour Zulu imaging stabilizing binoculars when I'm covering a lot of ground and need to see everything.
These binoes are a complete game changer.
After long climbs, when your heart rates up and your hands aren't steady, shaky glass makes it hard to stay locked in.
With image stabilization, everything settles down.
You can slow the process, really pick apart the country, and catch movement you normally miss.
I found more animals and saved a ton of time because of these binos.
I actually just talked about how impressive this technology is on the most recent episode of the Joe Rogan experience.
Once you use stabilized glass, it's hard to go back.
It gives you a real advantage when you're hunting big open terrain.
And here's the rare part.
Optics companies almost never offer discounts,
but Sig is giving listeners of this podcast 10% off.
Just use code cam at checkout.
So if you're serious about glassing and want the same edge I've had the past couple of seasons,
head to sigsour.com.
Grab a pair of Zulu Bino's and use code cam for 10% off.
Sigsour Zulu binoculars.
Seymour, miss less, keep hammering.
I got to say something that it fucking hurts, but Jeff Browning today.
He's over at UTMB.
I'm not really sure what happened, but I haven't got all the details, but I heard that he fell and hit his head and he broke his glasses.
And I think he was joking around.
And somehow the fall or maybe the impact on his head, the speculation is that it led to a heart attack.
And now he's in coma.
So I don't I don't I haven't heard anything but I'm like was there a brain bleed did that I
don't know that could lead to heart attack I didn't know what happened but it's all I know is he's in
the hospital in coma and it just breaks my heart I mean Jeff is such a nice guy I mean he's
such a legend I know yeah I love that guy and it's like he loves the ultra space and
and just to be over there, you know how he was.
He's so excited about to talk running.
Imagine at UT&B, that's like, I mean,
probably one of the greatest weeks of his life
to hang out to see everybody and just to be on a high
and then also to be racing and he's very fit.
Yeah.
I just, I really hope he's okay.
Yeah, me too.
Freaking kills me.
Definitely thinking about him and keeping his family
in my prayers and that's the other thing too,
is, you know, I think about his family and how much he loves them and talks about them.
Yeah.
You know, that's just, it's scary.
And especially, I feel like I didn't hear the thing about him hitting his head.
Yeah.
But for us, that hits close to home with Kocodona.
It's, you know, that stuff is so serious.
And again, it's, you know, it's fun to follow these things and to see these races, but
you're putting yourself at risk.
Yeah.
These things are dangerous.
It's not all fun in games.
And so I definitely hope he's okay too.
That's terrible.
I woke up this morning and I saw from his account like that long post.
And I was like, you always see those long posts.
And it's like, I hope it's not something bad.
Oh, I know.
I was going to try to get a hold of Dill.
I didn't know if Dillon was over there filming or I was going to try to,
I know Max is over there.
But then I'm like, just got to let his family and let them deal with it
instead of trying to figure out the news.
All I know is that, you know, we're going to be praying for him.
and praying for recovery and praying for his family and I don't know just it breaks my heart
I just it doesn't sound obviously coma's never good heart attacks aren't good head injuries
none of us good yeah so let's just hope for a miracle here yeah that's that's definitely uh what we'll
be doing yeah love love you jeff little old bronco it's just like I mean he's
He's an icon.
Yeah.
And sport needs him and loves him.
Yeah.
We're thinking about you, Jeff, and Jeff's family and everybody else, too.
So, yeah.
Well, let's hope for good news.
I know.
It's a big week over there.
They started, I think they got races all week, cumulating with the big one.
You know, Courtney's in, Rachel's in.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All the big names.
But it's kind of a cloud over it now.
Yeah, definitely.
We mentioned Phil Gore earlier.
He's currently doing his 168-hour attempt at the world record for the backyard.
Solo.
I do wonder if he gets this, if it'll be like a Kipchoga thing when he ran the first sub-two marathon.
Yeah.
So there's no competitor.
No.
Oh.
Just Phil.
Yeah.
See, it's not really the spirit of backyard ultra then.
Well, if that's being said, then the competitiveness of Mark and L.O.
If the spirit is to push each other to the furthest length, is that frowned upon?
Is what Mark did kind of, you know?
No, instead of encouraging and like, hey, we're on the same team.
Yeah.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's, yeah, mind games are part of competition for sure.
I don't know.
I think about it like
I like it
I like a little fire
I like you know
okay big big sports stars
like Michael Jordan
used to talk so much shit
yeah and I love it
I think it too
if anything
it has drawn more attention
to the sport
I think the sport needs
it needs it needs passion
that's passion yeah
that's it you know
it doesn't have to be poor sportsmanship
it's just like no I want to win
you want to win
we both can't fucking win
yeah so what's it gonna be
I love it.
Yeah, I did do.
That's life, dude.
Yeah.
I mean, there was a lot of people complaining, like, classic American and all this.
Yeah.
I mean, if we want to talk about competitive, let's start with the Germans.
Yeah.
Yeah, no kidding.
Fucking badasses.
Yeah.
So I think Phil is currently 96, well, 97 hours in.
So he's got a long ways to go.
How many?
What does he have to get?
168.
Oh, God.
You want to do it for a whole week.
A week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So it's like that's getting to be a little bit different.
It's because then it reminds me of like, you know that we've talked about that record that, um, uh, Ned Brockman was going after a thousand miles on the track.
So I guarantee he didn't take breaks.
You know what I mean to get to get a hundred miles a day.
I mean, he had to take, they had to sleep at some point.
Right.
But it's like, it's getting a little different when it's just a solo effort as opposed to the last man standing.
Yeah, right.
It's definitely there's a different atmosphere to it.
So it's like, is he trying to go as, so what's the record, as far as he can go with doing 4.2 every hour?
Yeah.
Because that's really the only rule.
Yeah.
I mean, and maybe he's just doing it to see what the human body's capable of.
Yeah.
You know, it might, like you said, Kipchow game.
Right.
You know, if he's able to do that, maybe it'll then further the races.
I don't know.
But I know one guy that could probably get up there.
Yeah.
I know.
So those, they haven't raced, huh?
No.
Okay.
That would be a good one.
Yeah.
I want to see Mark, Phil, and Sam Harvey.
Because there's a little, there's a little beef between Sam and Mark.
Really?
I mean, seems like it.
It's, you know, Mark during the race.
Who's a Harvey?
was he in it he's the he was the assist to phil gore's 119 oh okay yeah and and he was the coach he was
elo's coach oh so he was there and during it mark comes up to the camera and he's like i have a message
for sam harvey you know i didn't come here for 168 souls i came here for all 169
oh i love that shit dude i love that cinema there yeah and then afterwards you know mark's giving
his speech and he's like you know
how proud he was of everybody, even the people that he kind of butted heads with and he pointed over to their camp.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, easy. After you win, that's easy. Yeah. Well, I know I wouldn't want to be on that side of Mark.
Yeah. I'm good being on the friend of the show side. Yeah, he's a little nuts. It seems like. Yeah.
In a good way. Yeah. I'll love Mark. Well, we also got to talk about Dolly Parton. Yeah.
Who passed away yesterday. I know. I know. Yeah. I know. Yeah. Icon.
Another icon.
Industry plant.
I've been what this is like the new thing now.
It's like, because people say that about jelly roll too.
Wow.
You know, it's just like, what is, what is going on?
Is everything a conspiracy?
I think Dolly Pardin was just fucking been through poor, been through so much shit, became the giant star.
And now she passed away.
That's sad.
Is that it?
Can we leave it at that?
Yeah.
Isn't that?
Does it have to be fucking paid by Israel too or something?
I think somebody with that long of a career you can't call.
I thought an industry plant was like somebody that comes from nowhere and rises to fame way too quickly.
Ella Langley, industry plant.
Industry plant.
And Ella, if you want to come on and defend yourself.
Yeah.
Well, speaking of that, do you see a little video clip of her, like going up to the stage, like dancing?
Huh.
it is like what is this song that they're playing oh was it when she came out staying alive staying
something like that no no it's like i could watch it a hundred times like she's walking out with
i think there's a few other like on her team and they're just walking it'd be like backstage going to
the stage right and she's just like skipping and like doing this dance thing and it's just like
mesmerizing.
So if the industry plant people made her be able to do that, well done.
You fucking crushed it.
Good job, BV.
So, yeah.
So Macy, find that clip.
Yeah, but anyway, I don't really know what the whole industry plant stuff is lately.
It's just like, that's what, you know, oh, there's another thing.
So MAGA lost their shit because jelly rolls hosting Jimmy Kimmel made some jokes about Trump.
and now they're just like
gonna want to cancel them
I'm like what the fuck are you guys talking
you can't joke it's a late night TV show
what the fuck is this and have you heard
the shit Trump says about people?
Oh yeah so are those not jokes?
Yeah because we got some we got plenty to cover there
if they're not joke crazy but uh yeah so
jelly roll hosting late night which is or I don't know what show it is
but it's Jimmy Kimball show but uh seemed like he's doing good
Yeah.
And also, we're going Elkhont.
Yeah.
I think.
Stay tuned.
Yeah, yeah.
That's the plan.
But yeah, so I did say, I go, because this Elkhunt is, it's any weapon.
So I said, if we're not feeling confident with the bow, are we good to have a little backup with the rifle?
And are you good with that?
And I said, I go, you know, most people's first bull is killed with three.
rifle. I said, so it's not like a failure. Right. So, and he said he could do that because he got,
he got the pardon too. Nice. So, uh, anyway, we got, we got some options there. Just bow hunting.
I just don't, I want it to be positive. Yeah. You know, it's so fucking hard. But, uh,
yeah. Um, was that your, what was your, what was you talking about? Oh, Dolly. Yeah. Did you have
anything to, uh, well, I liked what Jelly Roll said, which was she might be the last American that everybody
liked, but it sounds like you were able to find some people.
that didn't like her.
No, they're saying she's an industry plant.
It's just like, how do you, how do you have shit to say about Dolly Parton?
I was thinking about this actually yesterday, not really that, but it kind of ties in.
It's like, our lives have been so upended.
We've been shown a little bit of like what's going on behind the scenes.
And I've been out of the country.
We were just in Canada, but I was like, and I've been to South America and I was thinking about
Japan.
And I was like, I don't even know if it exists.
I don't.
I mean, it's a rumor.
It's like everything doesn't have to be a conspiracy theory.
No, I doubt.
I don't think there's,
I think the earth's flat, actually.
Yeah,
I mean,
we saw the ice wall in Canada,
so.
Yeah.
Well,
also,
my whole existence is fucked
because I was watching the show on ballet.
This series,
pretty good.
Flesh and bone is called.
And I'm like,
oh,
it's kind of cool.
I like,
like,
the,
the grid it's kind of like did you see whiplash yeah yeah yeah anyway the guy's kind of like
that some hardcore fucking yelling at these dancers and ballet is fucking hard dude yeah these
these they're fucking shredded but anyway the lead girl there's like something with her brothers
like she left home and then he was he was like chasing her down and i'm like did he rape
his sister is like what's what's going on and then i'm like okay that no wonder she fucking
alcoholic father i'm like okay it's kind of sounds shitty brother tracks her down in new york she
says get out get the hell away from me good good then she goes back for thanksgiving on this last
episode and i'm just like okay well i guess it's the only family she has you probably you know you
You love them and whatever.
Probably is complicated.
And then she goes into her brother's bedroom.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
And lays down beside him.
No.
No.
And then they talk about the baby they had.
No!
A girl.
And I'm like, I can't fucking watch his show.
What?
Who wrote that?
I mean, the gay stuff in every show, movie, commercial has been enough.
I mean, and I'm fine.
You fucking be gay, whatever.
But I think...
Do I need to see it on every show?
I think we need to find the incest.
The writers of that show.
And we need to check their hard drives.
And beat the fuck out of them.
What is that?
What?
Yeah, I mean, because what I was saying is like, I like the show.
It was gritty.
She got a job in a strip club because she's like, whatever.
And she's been through all this shit.
But then she's this amazing star that was, she hadn't danced in three years.
And now she's like, they're creating this whole, this whole whatever the fucking ballet is for her to star in.
Isn't that enough?
Why do you need incest?
It's like, oh, you know what this is missing?
You know what would make this so just perfect?
It's like, what?
Who the fucking watch?
Who thought of it?
Why?
I mean...
That's like the smut books.
Have you heard of those?
They're like books that are basically just porn but for nerds.
Well, no, I haven't, but it makes sense that you have.
But there's shit like that.
I think there's incest and weird.
Did you say you think?
Yeah.
From what I've heard.
I don't know.
I mean, I'm old school.
But is that old school?
Is that what you guys are into nowadays?
We got bigger issues that that's what people are into.
God.
I just, yeah, so anyway, I'd like to show
now it's fucked
so i mean i guess it's not the only thing that's fucked no
she is too god
that's crazy well maybe you'll find out
if the baby comes out normal
they said they had it i don't know what
were they step siblings
is there a loop that's what i'm looking for a loophole
that's what i thought so i looked up rotten tomatoes i'm like
is this actually fucking incest or is it like
i've seen the stepbrother movie
you know, stepmom.
That's one of my favorites.
Yeah.
It's a backdoor sluts nine with steps.
So I'm like, there's got to be some loophole.
There's always a loophole.
And so I look it up.
Is this actually?
And it is.
And it's like, oh, it was we wanted to develop this character.
And it was like this taboo subject.
It's like, yeah, fucking taboo, yeah.
You mean illegal?
Well, then I was thinking why, I mean, murder's taboo.
Yeah.
We see that all the time.
I just don't want, you know how they tried to make the gay and whatever trans stuff, like seem normal?
So it's in everything.
Are they going to try that, is incest going to be like, hey, let's get these people used to it?
I mean, if incest is going to become normal, I'm going to wish that I had a hot sister.
Or at least a hot mom.
How is your mom?
I don't know.
She might be hot.
No.
No.
Remember?
Oh, that's right.
We changed.
Yeah, we're changed.
Change heart.
Well, I'm disappointed in the writers, but I can understand there.
I can't.
No.
You got to find a loophole or something.
That's crazy.
That is.
So now I'm watching a different show.
Okay.
Brad Pitt.
Like it?
It's something like the murder of Jesse James.
I think I've heard of that.
It's actually pretty good.
It's old.
But it's like, what's his name?
No, Joaquin Fiener.
No, no.
No, what's his name?
Casey Affleck.
Casey Affleck's in it.
Brad Pitt's in it.
It seems good so far.
But anyway.
Well, no incest so far.
I'll have to.
So that's good.
Incest free.
I'm going to have to start looking that up.
Incest free.
Top 10 incest free shows.
Yeah, sucks.
That's crazy.
Yeah.
Anyway, so that's what I'm on now.
Out in the mountains, there's no room for wheat gear.
When I'm packing out meat in the heat or loading up for a long range training trip, I need a
cooler that holds the line every time.
That's why I use grizzly coolers.
These things are bareproof, rugged as hell, and keep ice locked in for days, literally.
I've had coolers on the trail, baking in the sun, still holding ice after hauling out out quarters.
That's performance you can count on.
Whether you're running deep in the backcountry or just stacking meat for the weekend, Grizzly is built for that grind.
Don't roll with weak gear, go Grizzly.
Summer doesn't wait.
The sun comes up early.
the miles still need to get logged, the work still needs to get done. That's why Black Rifle Coffee
Company is bringing the fuel to keep up. While some companies are suddenly talking about patriotism

Veteran founded, American Roasted.
This is America's Coffee.
Well, one of my other subjects was weight loss in the morning.
Yeah.
After we had gotten back and eaten a lot.
So somewhat of a refeed.
Yeah.
And this was two days ago.
So plenty of food had been eaten.
In the morning, I weighed 100 and 78 pounds.
Whoa.
Yeah.
What were you on the hunt?
I wonder what you got down to.
I had to be 175.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, dude, 20.
So what is that?
25.
It'd be almost 30 pounds.
From like not that long ago.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You were two.
205, 205.
206.
yeah yeah dude that that hunt was a grind and it you know granted I gave up I wasn't
lifting and I was just started training for the only lifts I were doing were like
you know stuff to prevent injuries yeah my knees bullet right but I got back in
the gym this week starting Monday yeah let's just say 225 is a ways out yeah it was
bad yeah so we got some work to do it goes
Well, we laid it all out there on that hunt.
You had the picnic.
Here's one other bat.
It's not bad, but I have to run tomorrow.
Oh, yeah.
With that Brady MacDonald.
He's doing 50, I think 50K in all 50 states and 50 days.
Is that what it is?
That's a shit-time.
Yeah, I think that's what he's doing.
So tomorrow we're meeting at Piscuit 8.
Okay.
and i'm not doing 31 miles i was going to say are you doing all hell no i don't even know what i can
do but i haven't run since it's been a while because we were up there forever i never i haven't
run since i've been home no so i didn't even i haven't even tried yeah i don't know i mean my body's
pretty now that i'm this light again i don't like it yeah i feel frail really yeah i mean
you kicked ass on the hunt i know that yeah i got to put some a little a little more meat back on the
the bones. That is interesting. I'm like, I don't have a goal. The picnic was something I had so
much emotionally tied to. And it was like, I wanted to do it for so long. Now that it's done,
I'm like, I mean, there's nothing that I'm like, yeah, that's my next thing. Stone Sheep Hunt.
It's got to be achievable. God. I know we're not going to talk about this, but how hard was
that hunt. That seemed pretty hard.
It's harder than anything else. That actually was the hardest thing I ever
done.
I mean, that was a grind. Yeah.
It was a...
We had to earn that one.
Yeah. Had a little bit of taste to everything.
Mental, physical.
Sexual.
I mean, spiritual.
Right.
Yeah. No, it's a...
I don't even...
know how to explain that huh but how's that filmed is it done it's done oh good did you see the reviews
yeah yeah the academy is uh oh good next for 2028 oh okay they already made the selection so yeah
sweet uh i don't know it's uh yeah it was it was eventful but man it was tough yeah so if you guys
are wondering we are going to talk about that of course but it's got to be good it's got to be perfect
You got to be feeling better.
Yeah, I do.
Yeah.
So we're going to, I don't know, I've been doing all the research on the Fred Bear stuff.
That's been fun.
You did the, we tried to mimic some of those photos.
You did a kick-ass job.
Yeah, it actually turned out, seeing them side by side, it was actually not too far off.
No.
You're a little closer.
Yeah.
And then the Rams in a slightly different position.
Slightly different, but pretty close.
Pretty close.
But yeah, I want to put up, because those are the pictures that we're looking.
at before we left.
Yeah.
We were sitting there and like talking about Fred, what's the score.
Oh, what was this?
It's just so fun going through all that shit.
Well, it was cool because we realized he was, well, maybe I shouldn't say that.
He was in a-
Same area?
Yes.
Yeah.
He was also in BC.
And we were also in BC.
Yeah.
And also the sheep were in BC.
Yes.
A lot of people don't know that.
Right.
So it actually worked out fairly well.
Yeah.
Kurt chartered a 747 and blew the sheep.
His stories, dude.
I've been trying to remember all his stories,
and it's pretty fun.
I know.
Brooke was asking,
because I said he has crazy stories.
She was like,
tell me one of them.
And I was like,
well.
Yeah,
I don't know.
See that if you,
what,
yeah,
I said,
I sort of what I can't remember what I said.
Something about the Aborigines.
If they have a twin,
then they,
They, one's evil, one's good.
They kill the evil one.
And like, I think I missed a lot of it.
His neighbor's wife adopted the evil twin.
Yeah.
Then five years later, the Aborigines came in and killed it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that was one story.
Yeah.
I just said, all you need to know is he's died.
He's almost died about 20 times.
Yeah.
And he's the most positive human alive.
I never saw.
there was like maybe
it wasn't even negative
but it was like
if there was a mention of
if we don't get it done
we can we can come back next year
and I remember you and I were like
there's a crack no and I was just like
when he said
I was just like
excuse me
I fucking I'm not leaving
until
either I'm dead or a ram's dead
That's what you said.
You said, someone's going to have to tell me we have to leave.
Yeah.
Because it's not going to be me.
Because I will, I just didn't know if he knew that I will never quit.
So some people, when they hear that, everybody says that shit.
Yeah.
But most people don't mean it.
Yeah.
So then I think he was like, well, when I said that, I think he was just like, oh, fuck.
I guess I better clear my schedule.
I don't know.
But he was so positive.
Yeah.
That was, it was.
I mean, I'll never forget the hunt.
Oh, me either.
Never.
It's just like, it's always going to be,
probably think about it every day.
That's a good point.
I've probably talked about it once every day.
Someone's asked me or something.
Yeah.
So definitely thought about it every day.
Well, I don't even need,
people don't even need to ask me.
They can say something and I'll be like,
you know what?
That reminds me of my stone sheep hunt.
Oh, really?
Getting bread at the store?
Yeah.
Yep.
Yep.
You know, this walk you had to do it from your car to the store.
Yeah.
This one time.
And also...
This guy.
Fred Bear.
Yeah.
So we had a character where I was going to be this drunk guy in the bar if I couldn't get this ram killed with my plaid Fred Bear's shirt.
With mustard stains all over.
Yeah.
Just haunted by the memory of this hunt.
Because the bottom line is,
I had this ram of a lifetime, one of the biggest any bohunter's ever killed at 32 yards and did not get him killed.
So if you've bow hunted or like you've had like opportunity to like slip through your grasp, that's about as close to a slam dunk for a stone sheep as you're going to get and I didn't get it killed.
Yeah.
Didn't even get a shot.
After not having seen one for a week.
Yeah.
Right.
And then so it wasn't looking great.
Or it was, man.
So we created that character to cope.
Which one?
You drunk in the bar.
Oh, yeah.
That's right.
Yeah.
So anyway, that was going to be me.
Dude.
I can't even imagine.
Like, it took us, I don't even know how many days to get home from the bush.
And if I would have had to go through three.
Three weeks of hunting, all these days, all this, like, couldn't get to Portland or couldn't get to Eugene, had to rent a car, all of these things without killing a ram.
I mean, I was pissed even though I had the greatest hunt of my life.
Yeah.
If it would have been bad, I don't even know what my mental state would be.
The bartender would have to call Tracy.
Oh.
He shit his pants again.
Yeah.
Again.
Yeah.
Yeah.
his what are what are those pants i had oh the uh fial raven or however we fall rave yeah there's a j in
there yeah fj a l l fj a l f yall so i'm gonna i'd have those on with shit in them and my
my beat-up flannel yeah talking about stone sheep and fred bear um we do have to talk about the
roadless rule yeah and the retarded decision to rescind it so the
There's a month long comment period, I think.
So I'm like, I'm exhausted with this stuff too, dude.
It's fucking never ending.
Why are we just getting raped from all sides?
It's never ending.
It's just like, I don't.
I mean, we keep going and thinking we win.
And then all of a sudden, here it is back again.
So, yeah, I mean, backcountry hunters and anglers.
I got this girl Nicole Brown.
she's freaking on top of this shit outdoor alliance everybody's like on the same page yeah fighting against
the administration trying to fuck over public lands just like why why are we so opposed i mean
we want to protect we love public land it's our the greatest resource of our the western
in the United States basically is just the mountains.
And being high, wild and free out there.
And now we got to, it's nonstop combative to try to develop this or get the minerals
out of it or make money off of it or sell it to somebody else.
It's like, fucking chill out.
Nobody wants this.
Nobody, except for fucking the administration and I guess people who all the you fuck about is
money.
Yeah.
I mean, surprisingly,
I've seen a couple people who are in support of it.
And I'm like, what rock do you live under?
I think people just want to like assume it's not as bad as everybody's making it seem.
And so they're trying to be positive because I did see like even, you know, I like, I can't remember his real name now, but shed crazy.
Oh, yeah.
He made a bunch of big comments on that.
Like it's good to shrink.
That was about the National Monument, which there's so many things.
because that's just one thing.
It's just like, okay, fine.
If you want to, like, somehow turn this into a positive,
like, this is good.
I don't think it is.
But that's just one fucking thing anyway.
It's...
Anytime they're changing designations,
it's never to help us.
No.
If we could trust our government, maybe.
Yeah.
If we didn't have to look out for setting precedent
for future things, maybe.
Right.
But everything that's ever been like,
oh, this will be good.
And then later down the road,
it's like,
it's just a little door
for them to creep in.
I know.
And it's just like any of these, like these, the big beautiful bill and all the shit.
So it's like pages and pages of pages.
You don't even know what the fuck got signed into law or approved because it's all hidden.
Yeah.
And so they say, oh, this is to fund whatever fucking new roads.
It's like, oh, no, the transgender shit in fucking Uganda.
Uganda, right.
It's like, so they, that's why we don't trust this.
Yeah.
So I see shed crazy.
like saying like, hey, I live in Utah.
This is good.
This isn't been like whatever.
And I'm just like, I doubt it.
I fucking doubt it.
I know that you want to believe that.
But I fucking doubt it.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, sorry.
I mean, are our public lands?
And how could it be, I guess what I'm trying to say is like they're not,
it's not terrible.
We have access to public lands.
Yeah.
So.
And they had,
they had access to it with that three million acre
designation.
Yeah.
And they were hunting,
fishing,
all sorts of shit.
So it's just like,
how is this better?
No.
I don't think so.
Because they can put
roads on it.
It's just like
the big,
the Big Ben National Park
down there in Texas.
We don't need a fucking fence
down there.
And they awarded all the contracts
without bids.
And now it's fucking underway.
It's wrong.
No.
We bitched about it.
I bitched about it on a
Rogan, nothing fucking happened.
No. And it's corrupt.
Yeah. It's just fucking dirty politics.
Everything, everything about is dirty.
And yeah, I don't know.
It's fucking, it's never ending. It drives you crazy.
It'd be cool if we had a government that was actually for the people.
That's a crazy idea.
Weird.
I might write a big doctrine that starts with that.
You should.
Thank you.
Yeah.
We the people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know. It's a, I don't know, it's super frustrating, but, you know, we want to make a difference. We want to, I don't know, we just want the right thing to happen. And I don't know, I don't know how to do it now.
Harder than it seems, I guess.
So she said.
That's what that guy's sister in the show, you're watching.
God.
but that is that's it that's it it i had in here to um mention the exalt chamber but that was a
old from an old note oh we did a podcast with them so yeah that came that i don't i hope that was
when i was sick that day so hopefully it sounded okay i mean nobody said anything no they haven't
yeah but uh yeah those guys are studs um i'm gonna get i think i'm gonna do well i got to do that
McDonald thing with him tomorrow.
Is he going to do a podcast, too?
I don't know.
I don't know if he has time for it.
Yeah, if he's got to do 31 miles.
I mostly just want to get caught, just like help him help elevate his message.
So I figured even if we're up on Piscan, I do like a phone thing, I can tag him.
That's, I mean, I'm not feeling very good.
Are you guys going to go the long way?
I don't know.
Yeah.
See.
I mean, I'll go up and.
I want to go the shoreway, then go to breakfast.
That's on my agenda.
So I'll go, I'm just going to, let's meet over there at eight or whatever you want to do.
You can write it with me.
But, and then we'll at least do some miles and then go eat.
Cool.
Yeah.
Well, I think that's it.
I wraps it up.
Yeah, I got some, I got some big news offline.
I do have to say, I'm going to try.
we're going to try me doing a solo podcast oh so if you guys hate me let me know in the comments
hit that like button no leave some ideas of what you guys want me to talk about maybe i'll cover them
there you go that'd be good yeah so yeah um because what we're thinking about doing is this going to be
the keep hammering collective with gideon gideon late at night get yeah gideon after dark
i gotta figure out how to set up a phone line or something so i could do like
Theo Vaughn when people call it.
There you go.
Yes, that would be fun.
So we got some good ones coming.
We're going to talk about the picnic.
This was Shit Talkers Weekly 33.
We're going to talk about the sheep hunt and then Gideon's going to do a solo.
It's going to be sick.
All right.
All right, guys.
Thanks for tuning in.
We're back, baby.
Keep cramering.
