Starting point is 00:00:00 Keep hammering collective. Prank call to Truitt Haynes. See if he answers. Sorry, I'm just got really excited. Hey, hey, Truitt. This Craig. How are you doing this evening? Oh, good. How are you doing? Good, my man. Hey, you still working for Mountain Ops over there? Yes, yes, I am.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Yeah, yeah. They're Salt Lake, huh? Yes, yeah, Salt Lake. Yeah, I like it. How long you been with that company? Um, three years, three years. I just hit the three years. Well, man, uh, that's good. That's good. That's good. I'm just, uh, man, I'm kicking around some ideas and I've been, I've been doing a lot of, a lot of fitness and whatnot. And I really think that I could do a lot for you guys on the endorsement side of, uh, of this of for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, for, I got this, your phone number and a email thread. And, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, I'm just, I'm really fit. I feel like you and I go head to head on some, some chin-ups, and then, I don't know, I feel like I'd be a good, what do you think? You think you can recommend me, connect me with the boss?
Starting point is 00:01:19 Yeah, yeah, no, I definitely could. Yeah, I guess we could just figure out as far as, like, what the partnership looks like, but, yeah, I'd have to connect you with a person that oversees that, for sure. Do you want a three-way call them in right now? Probably not right now since it's 9 p.m. I don't think they would. I don't know. I just turn work hours tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:01:41 I will. But yeah, not right now, I don't think. What if you just gave me their number? If you're busy now, I don't mind calling them. No, I don't think I'll do that right now, not this evening just because I'm sure they're home with their families right now. I'll make sure to connect you guys tomorrow, though. This is a big opportunity because, like, I mean, I got all kinds of supplements. Companies coming after me, and I can just.
Starting point is 00:02:05 man, I'm just, you might have, can I send you some videos of me doing some chin-ups or something? Um, yeah, go ahead. You have an Instagram? Not, well, yeah, I mean, right now it's currently disabled. I put some of those videos up there and I don't know what they don't like about them, but I put some of them up there. And I, right now, long story, yes, yes, it'd be hard to look me up right now because I'm, you know how they are, man. They just, they like to block everybody. You put one video up without a shirt and some other clothing, and all of a sudden they're done with you, you know, and it's like, golly, cool it, man.
Starting point is 00:02:45 You know what I'm saying? Yeah, and sorry, what was your name again? Craig. Craig. Okay. Jackson. Yes, sir. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:53 I'm over here on the West Coast, and sometimes we like to call it the left coast, you know what I'm saying? But I'm not like left left. I'm more right, but I'm like, but I, look, man, what do you think they're going to say to like, I don't know? I'm thinking like five grand a month, man. You think like they'd be down for that, like 60K a year and all the mountain ops I could drink? Yeah, I mean, honestly, it just. What do they pay you?
Starting point is 00:03:25 What do you make after taxes? I'm going to answer that. I'm like sponsored by them or anything, but I'd have to have. You don't have no pull up there. Well, no, I mean, it's not, this isn't my job necessarily. You can do like 9,000 chin-ups, and I mean, what you do, just load trucks? No, no, I'm on the marketing team. I'm on the marketing team there.
Starting point is 00:03:51 You're like a social media guy? Not social media, no, no, more so just marketing than like the marketing campaign aspect of it. Do you want to be in charge of mine? We could like team up. I would have to think about it. I would have to figure out more about you, learn more about you. What about your dad? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:16 You don't know your dad? Well, now he's a busy guy. You think you'd get me on his podcast? That helped me. It helped Mountain Ops, too, you know? We would have to see for sure. I mean, it's up to him. It's up to him who he brings on.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Could you and I do a chin-up contest? Yeah, I mean, it's a. Sounds like a good idea. Are you a sore loser? No. No, I'm not a sore loser. So it's not going to bother you. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Cool. All righty. Well, I'll tell you what, I'll have to follow up with you tomorrow. I'm just hanging out here right now, and I'll call you during work hours tomorrow. How about that? Okay. Can you give me your dad's number? No, I can't do that.
Starting point is 00:05:09 I'm sorry. man you haven't man you I think it all right I'll call you tomorrow you're not much help in the evening
Starting point is 00:05:16 I'm sorry if you're grumpy all right no it's okay all right I'll talk to you tomorrow all right I love you bye all right he's so nice
Starting point is 00:05:34 how was he so nice to Craig Jackson I don't know oh god that was I was Oh, man. If it wasn't him, I would be scared with what somebody would say.
Starting point is 00:05:48 He was just like... Oh, he was so nice. I would have lost it. How much you make happen? And he was sold on it. Okay. So we got the Keep Herman Collective Q&A bonus edition with Dale Brisbane. Old son.
Starting point is 00:06:07 You ready? I'm ready. Yes, sir. Q&A. If he calls back, I'll... Yeah. We got to. I'll have it right here.
Starting point is 00:06:14 So here's a question I have. I also put a post up asking if followers might have questions for you. But best all-time cowboy. Here's your options. Okay. Tough Heedeman. Trevor Brazil. Lane Frost.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Bud Davis. West High Tower. Me and Wes don't get along all that great. No. You know, and Bud, for that matter, too, Sissy and I just had our thing. You know, Trevor Brazil, he's on that end of the arena. And so he's got a lot of world titles, but I'm a lot tougher than he is. And then tough heat him in and I, we go head to head, baby.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Yeah, I beat him that one year in San Angelo. He beat me that one year in Austin. I did not get jerked down. I jerked the bull up, knock myself out. Made it look fun. I forgot J.B. And J.B. of course, but we're just too tight.
Starting point is 00:07:14 We're too good of friends to really even. It's too close to call. But I mean, do you think anybody could really beat Bud Davis? I mean, you saw what he could do. He won the championship at Gillies. What's he doing back there? He's turning it up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:31 So who was your pick? I'm going to have to go with Dale Brisby. Oh, yeah. 10 out of 10. No, that's, yeah. I mean, I think that makes a lot of sense. Actually, if you look, look at your stats and your career.
Starting point is 00:07:44 I got the receipts. Yeah. You know, there's no doubters out there. That was one I was very curious about. So thank you. All right. So here's from the social media world. Is you going to shoot a bow off the back of his horse?
Starting point is 00:08:05 Ooh, that's a good question. And it can be, that is a, that, you know, know, I've gotten in close to a lot of pigs. I've roped pigs before. Oh. Horseback. Yeah. That is a neat idea.
Starting point is 00:08:19 So I think. Shoot one off your horse. And I'm so not steady with the bow. It's already moving a lot. Right. So I might as well just be horseback. It could offset. It could offset and you could be right on because you're not steady, but then the
Starting point is 00:08:33 horse makes you less steady. Maybe that's going to cancel each other out and you'll be dead nuts. Uh-huh. I like the sound of it. But to be continued. Okay. Favorite thing about Texas, old son? The weather.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Mm-hmm. Because the heat is pretty hot in June, July. So if Joe gets you convinced to come down there, you may want to visit up here a lot in July and August. Don't you guys have big freezes all the time now? And it's really hot in the summer and it's really cold in the winter. And that sounds normal. Yeah. Until you get there and you're like, wait a second, this is like an abnormal.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Yeah. Other than that, the women, you know, the ladies are beautiful. Most of them can ride buck and horses. Yeah. A lot of them do dip. Yeah. Is that good? So that part's not as fun.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Yeah. No. I mean, but they're tough. But they are tough. Yeah. Tough. Will he film another Netflix series? I should find out a lot about that this next month.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Okay. Come to find out. Netflix is like Long Hair Don't care. They do what they want. Oh. And they don't really tell you when. Could call in an hour.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Yeah. But we will find out some stuff next month. How did your series turn out? Did you, I mean, was it great for building your brand? It was huge. Yeah. Like each video, each collaboration podcast that we end up getting to do is a big brick. It's a brick.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Right. And this one, the Netflix show, those are large bricks in building a brand. Build that wall. Build that wall. It was R-O-I positive, I'll say that. Okay, that's good. We'd like to have experiences like that, don't we? That was James' question.
Starting point is 00:10:25 I almost read it. Shooting bows or riding bulls, which is better, old son? Well, you guys got me on the path of shooting a bow from a bull, so we'll see. If it can be done, Dale Brisby's the one to do it. Right. But I'm already 90 points on a bull, so. Yeah. But, you know, I think they both have their place.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Thankfully, bow hunting isn't done on Saturday nights. Mm-hmm. Typically, you know. Because that's a rodeo time? Correct. Okay. So I think I can manage both. Do both.
Starting point is 00:10:56 And, yeah, if you, I mean, guaranteed 90s on bowls, 90 yards with the bow. What'd you call it? Dead nuts? Dead nuts? Yep. I mean, it seems. Rodeo time. Bodeo time.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Right. Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah. I'll just work on. Full work. We've got to flesh that one out. We'll flesh that one out.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Did you ride a horse to Eugene? Okay, come on. Let's not be silly, guys. We have thought about riding bulls cross country for a YouTube video, but not Eugene. Writing bulls? I mean, horses. Writing a bull across country would be... That would be a good YouTube video.
Starting point is 00:11:36 I'd watch that. They're tough to steer, ain't they? Yes, they are. Let's see. Bull bands and barrels looks right up your alley. Bull bands. I think it's an event. Oh, that's an event. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:52 What does that mean? Somebody's putting on an event and they've previously invited me to it. Bull bands and barrels. Yes, sir. So like barrel racing, bull riding, and then some bands play. Yeah, that sounds fun. Yeah. No, I can't make it.
Starting point is 00:12:07 I'm sick that weekend. Well, you get an appearance fee, don't you? Well, right. You bet. All of a sudden, I feel better. All right. Who is Dale Brisby? The greatest bull rider of all time.
Starting point is 00:12:22 That must be one of the three people that doesn't have. If you don't know, now you know. Right. That's like Biggie Smalls, right? Yeah, P-I-M-P. Mm-hmm. How much easier was Piscua than Tack Road? Who wrote that?
Starting point is 00:12:40 Texas Woodsman How do they know I'm running on Tack Road Texas Woodsman He might be in the woods next to my house Is that where you run? Yes Oh I have to go I have to go buy a janky trailer house
Starting point is 00:12:55 With some pit bulls Yeah So your boy keeps one on him And then there's this one It's got to be that other little house I go by Wow Well Pittsgo was way tougher than Tack Road
Starting point is 00:13:07 Texas Woodman So man I gotta watch my six out there you got people paying attention I got people paying attention yeah you gotta keep that head on a swivel um
Starting point is 00:13:19 the what's the best technique best thing you took away from Cam and Wayne about about bow shooting easy for me to say I think the biggest thing that I really didn't even think of was like
Starting point is 00:13:35 instead of just like slamming the trigger is like pulling the trigger and your hand should come back. Yeah. But we don't call it a trigger. Do we call it a trigger? Of course, yeah, no, we called a trigger. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:46 I took that way too. So, and then, like, getting on the end of it, there's just a lot of little things that I'll just say, I'm going to have to rewatch this episode of Lift Run shoot to kind of refresh. Yeah. Because I was also under the weather while I was learning, but. Yeah, well, I mean, Wayne has a lot of great tips. And for people that don't know,
Starting point is 00:14:08 going to an archery pro shop like the bow rack. It's going to be tough to beat a shop like the bow rack, but there are a lot of great pro shops out there. You can learn a lot, shorten that learning curve by going to a pro shop and working with somebody who's been experienced and helping others learn the basics like Wayne did with you today. And, I mean, it paid off.
Starting point is 00:14:29 You guys just get there so fast. Yeah. Like I could watch somebody in rodeo or maybe roping a dummy and immediately see like, all right, we need to do a lot of things. but let's start with this one thing and you just get you guys are like you just look at me when I pick up a bow and it's like whoa whoa yeah yeah and you can tell you guys are it's more than it's
Starting point is 00:14:50 just a hobby yeah Wayne is real I mean Wayne looked at Chris who came Chris from the UK and he said oh your left eye dominant huh and he's like how do you know that he's like well your eyes bigger your dominant eyes usually bigger and he was like Chris Chris called him a wizard, which Wayne didn't want to be called a wizard. So Wayne corrected him on that and said, no, he's just seen a lot of people shoot a bow. So to your point, Wayne's a Christian. He's like, I'm a man of God, don't you put me in that Harry Potter bullcourt? That's what it was.
Starting point is 00:15:25 He corrected him right away. And Wayne will do that. And God bless him. But he's looked at so many people and helped so many people that, to your point, he can just quickly summarize what's going to be what's going to help them be successful what might be a challenge and then help them work it out it's pretty amazing i fought this bull once and cody webster he's like the greatest bullfighter of all time and i went to that bull's left and i drove in and he was like see and then afterwards he we get that bull in the shoot and he was like see this bull is left which whichever way
Starting point is 00:16:04 i went right horned dominant and you can tell because of how much more it's rubbed down and this one's fresh when he goes to fight something. Yeah. And so, like, he went to his strong side first. Not good. And, like, he just, just like the Wayne. Yeah. But, like, when you're the best in your field, you notice those kinds of things.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Yeah. I mean, that's good. That's good insight. Those bullfighters are, I mean, incredible. But also learning, I think I'm so impressed with how they can read the animal. I mean, just that's kind of a deep track. That's an attribute there of the bull itself. but watching how they're going to turn what their inclination or their preference might be and going against it is so amazing.
Starting point is 00:16:47 I mean, so you've bull fought too then. Yes, sir. I have my PRCA card in that as well, so I could go fight a pro rodeo and they would let me. I wouldn't be as good as Cody Webster. That's the man there. Is he one of the best ever? Yes, sir. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:01 Yes, sir. Oh, so much respect for those guys. He would go up, Pitska with you. He's pretty fit. Really? Well, come on, Cody. Let's go. I'm always down to hang out with the best of the best because I want to learn from them.
Starting point is 00:17:16 That's the whole point to this podcast is spending time without liars, and that's why you're here. Dale, yeah. Yes, sir. So why didn't he bring J.B. with him? He'll be here in an hour. Oh, good. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:32 The legend. Anytime he and I are at appearances, that's like, where's you? J.B. And I always tell him he'll be here in an hour. Sometimes I tell him I'm joking. A lot of times they'll come back in a... Yeah. Hey. He gets tired of people asking where's Dale Brisbane? It's good to keep that crowd engaged. They keep coming back every hour. You're good to go. Also, don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. Exactly. Well, who's, who is your biggest rival as the greatest all-round cowboy? Oh. Well, you've named a lot of them here, J.B. and you know
Starting point is 00:18:09 Trevor Brazil but I mean I'm more their mentor than anything so that's a friendly rival Earl Dibble They look up to you They're like
Starting point is 00:18:18 They're like your son Yes that's more Right Yeah Earl Dibbles Jr. Probably Yeah he's your biggest rival He's probably my biggest rival
Starting point is 00:18:27 Yeah I could see that I don't even think That's his real name Is that Granger Smith Is that who that is That's what I've heard No I don't think so No, it's probably not.
Starting point is 00:18:38 No. Nobody would. I've heard people say that Dale Brisby isn't your name. Oh, my. I mean, president of the United States doesn't have to supply first certificate. I mean. Right. But I will.
Starting point is 00:18:50 I will. Yeah. Why should? I mean, were you even born in the U.S.? Or are you like Obama? I am the U.S. of a. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Good. All right. Well, then I guess you can be president. Dale, it's not. I've not ruled it out. Right. I mean, I can see that.
Starting point is 00:19:07 happening. Yeah. You know, they talk about Oprah or The Rock or whoever. They wouldn't even stand a chance against you if it's come to a popularity contest. I'm going to let you and Rogan run this year, 2024, but, you know, maybe in 28, me and J.B. Oh. Might step it up.
Starting point is 00:19:24 You never know. I think that's what the country needs. And it's probably what they want. Yeah. I mean, it's, they think it couldn't get worse than Biden and Harris. Wait until I get there. All right. Well, that wraps up our Q&A unless do you have anything you'd like to add? Oh, no. I mean, you know, not that we haven't covered in the Lyft Run shoot or the podcast that's coming soon.
Starting point is 00:19:54 How did your day go? You know, I survived it. Yeah. I survived it. I was, it was, I was questioning myself. It was touch and go for a while. They're in the bathroom afterwards, but I survived it. Yeah, no, you did great. We'll talk about it in depth tomorrow. We got, yeah, we got a busy day tomorrow too. Yep, looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:20:16 We got the podcast. This is just a bonus experience for us to go through a few questions from the followers. And I appreciate your time. Dale, yeah. Appreciate you having me. Keep on to the next one.
