Welcome to Canadian True Crime, a new podcast that will take you on a journey through Canada's most notorious murder stories and some of the lesser-known ones too.
No one would argue that Canada is one of the most beloved countries on the map.
It's the second largest country in the world after Russia and is full of beautiful and diverse landscapes.
Canada has a reputation for being a peaceful and liberal country with citizens that are nice, polite,
friendly. But dig a little deeper and you'll find that the average Canadian is much more of a
stereotype than reality, because aside from its Aboriginal population, Canada is essentially a country
of immigrants with a diverse cultural and racial mix. It doesn't just boil those cultures down into a
universal melting pot like a pile of brown sludge. Instead, Canada is more like a cultural
mosaic that emphasizes the diverse backgrounds and cultures of the people who call the country home.
As with any country or group of people, there are always a mix of temperaments and personalities.
People are people.
As for me, I'm one of those Canadian immigrants, an Aussie true crime fanatic.
I've lived in the Greater Toronto area for many years and I'm a proud Canadian citizen.
Although I'm an expert at listening to podcasts, unfortunately for you, I'm a total
novice when it comes to producing them. This recording is currently being brought to you from the
floor of my walk-in wardrobe, where I have my laptop and mic balancing on a laundry basket. So please
bear with me, this will get better, I promise. The Canadian True Crime podcast will tell a range of
stories, including those that are well-known to people outside Canada, and will also feature
lesser-known stories that you've probably never heard of. Stay tuned for episode one of the Canadian
