I'm just I'm just like oh so It's my favorite moment of E3 Speaking of boy E3 happened and this is the first time in like I think the entire history of the podcast that we're doing the podcast After not having streamed the conferences together and all the conferences are done by the time we got to the podcast They're all finished is Sony done. Sony's didn't show up this year. Oh, so Nintendo was the last one Yeah, that was the last one. So E3 is ostensibly for major announcements finished great now. So It's all today. Great. Great. That's good. Um

I You might know I've noticed over the years that I've always been a little bit like To what specifically to the to the the stream watch sort of thing. Oh, it's a like watching E3 with everybody. Yeah Yeah, and and it's not that and I mean it's what it's worth it It's worth it when it's not it's not and I guess I I I kind of think of this well given the options. It's like I always weigh the pros and cons And I'm like I feel like given the options that I have I feel Personally the most satisfied just getting a nice list when things are done

Yeah, I'm just reading through a roundup and going cool trailer play trailer play trailer play and that's that right There's definitely things where you're like, oh, you might miss the magic of Um Ikumi son going meeting And you know and whatnot and and canary's having his things but you catch those two as well So you can get it all in the roundup the biggest thing for me that you miss out on is I Think the biggest bummer of any one of these kinds of events is that you go and you know you hit your feet or whatever Yeah, it's like check out this new trailer for thing you didn't know existed

But you've actually secretly wanted for ten years Yeah, and you're like, oh, I would have actually been way more like for examples Think of the difference between the people who saw hey double my cry five announced check out this new trailer Yeah, between the difference between people seeing a capcom logo and then the van and going Yeah, right. Yeah, so that's one thing. So that's you get exactly right and in this case Love like like compounding on top of that is like if it's something that were How mega fans of then you you miss the opportunity to go like to get that awesome reaction of that thing because that's a Once in a lifetime once in a lifetime pop, right? Yeah, so I do understand those but unfortunately those basically represent

seven to eight percent of an entire like weekend of Events E3 and it's the rest of that is all either Things I wouldn't care about or things I'm kind of interested in but ultimately wouldn't have an opinion on either way And I feel there's a there's a fourth one there. Yeah, there's there's the Abjects like disgusting lie section. There's that too. There's a right, but I feel like so I feel like I mean Gross shit aside. Yeah, right the stuff that is just not like that other people would care about that I specifically don't would kind of just lead to My stream this morning, perhaps

Where I just can't I don't want to be somebody that's just like I'm not seeing what I want to see therefore I'm just gonna sit here and be negative. I don't you worry, buddy. I got it covered. You don't seem yourself. You don't usually nuke people on Twitter or like just go ham on things I don't know man Is it all going on right if you manage to get Willie to nuke you on Twitter? Are you really transcended to the real asshole? But it but it's more just the subject matter right because game of Thrones was something where I'm like I like I said I I Mean to anyone that the word gets to then they get it

I guess but if you don't get the word then you might not know but I was just like no I'm like I specifically picked that topic as something that I'm like I've watched all of this I feel pretty confident you're in Fighting back on this you're in the subject. That's you know what I mean I'm not so I feel like if it was something that I'm like there's a huge gray area or a huge part of this that I feel Like I maybe wouldn't be aware of like book arguments. I'm never gonna have book arguments I don't you know, but as far as that show goes. I'm like I saw every goddamn episode I don't even know what a book and enjoy it a whole bunch of it

I feel confident like arguing my point here, you know, so yeah I think it's when it's something that I really feel comfort comfortable going in on then I'll do that You know, maybe it depends. Also. I was really really angry at how it went Shoutouts to Emmy nominations This week. I like the one story that was not E3 related on the docket this week is the fucking glory That is people telling me about There was Emmy the game of Thrones People HBO submitted the finale to the Emmys as the for the best writing category

And it's just like is this the world? Yeah, I know like it's wild. I I in my chest Feel that that was decided to be submitted Before it was ever filmed. I think it can't be like genuine or real It has to almost be like a this show needs to have something submitted into this category Has to say Emmy nominated on the box It doesn't matter who feels what about what something must be submitted because X Like when the budget when you cross a budget line, you got to submit yourself to every award an academy and thing

You have to it's just you know, it must so yeah, that's hilarious. That's hilarious. All right I watched LG Hudson's video about why you should watch judge dread titled just dread or dread 3d I got 12 minutes in before the spoiler warning. I'm like LG Hudson. You seem to be a good youtuber You convinced me I then watched dread dreads awesome Dreads like robo cop 1.5. Oh, you just just just got around just saw it yesterday. It's fantastic

It's fucking awesome. How great is the fact that they're like we don't need to see his face Yeah, why would you see his face? He's judge fucking dread and also it means that in my mind I get a better version of I am the law that's the loans. I am the law. Yeah, right? Did you like the raid? I Those movies came out a month apart. That's wild It's good shit. It looked like they're filmed in the same fucking building. It's good shit Yeah, it's good movie good movie thumbs up also a played I decided after last week's catch conversation and conversation about grand blue fantasy that I should figure out what catch is about

I asked people in my discord. Hey, should I play grand blue fantasy? Is that the good one? They said yes That's the good one. Oh you you just spiked loaded back into your phone. No, it was not spiked loaded but it quickly became spiked fucked because I discovered it was a browser game bad impression And then I the tutorial on that game is not only really really really really awful and incredibly long It's also really buggy the gacha game. Yeah of the tutorial like the tutorial specifically Um, I ran into no bugs afterwards

But what I did run into is that because it is a japanese server based game When you click on menus, there's like loading times in between every menu I can hear fists being clenched in the apartment right now But there there are like significant like one to two second like black screen style loading screens between every type in the menu And that more than anything after the bad tutorial experience just had me going Jesus, but here's the thing. Why would you get this game knowing that it's not a game as much as a Like roll to win the cards and get the newest card thing. It's so popular I want to get it

But you know that there's no chance that you would enjoy it because there's no actual video game there On my twitter timeline that I think are smart In fact, I know are smart who are way into this Like mom and clamps both play grand blue fantasy So i'm like they seem like smart knowledgeable people people with good taste. You let's give it a shot You've never been uh, uh achieve ohore You've never been I was actually a small time Not to the point where I well to the point that I never even reckoned. No, but I do like you've never been a

There's an rpg there But it is underneath a lot of layers of like Like I hate the art in the battles But I like the art outside of it And it's a whole fucking thing and I came away very frustrated and I get it even less now Like I I understand even less what I do What I did gain is that

Prior to actually playing it. I thought gotcha games Were literally Just getting cards Aren't they just getting I thought it was literally fill out your collection And buy a card pack and maybe your waifu will be in it Well, then the cards fight against each other sometimes. Yes, but I didn't think that was the case I thought gotcha games were literally Just open up a new pack of magic cards. Oh, that one's pretty

Oh, that one's really pretty I thought that was the entire game It is but then you just level up the cards and add things to them and yeah, well grand blue has a Weird rpg. Yeah. I mean dragon ball does the same thing and then whatever but uh, I know a little more I get it Even less It seems it's very tangled up and gambling Right, but again, there's no game there that no there is there actually is a game in there

Okay, well, it seems kind of basic, but maybe that's just because I was at the beginning It was just a tutorial, but there is a video game in there What if You walked around the world and then challenged other kids And then played the game With the cards first like snk card fighters clash What if there was an overworld that'd be cool? Would that help there's a pseudo overworld in grand blue, but it's like point-based

It's I shouldn't I I don't know. I've never played it. I I'm not going to take guesses My my outside impression has been it is it is tough to ignore the impression that the oh like there are three parts to this Right. There are three parts to your gacha. There's whatever gameplay system you happen to have And it seems to be one third of the the whole appeal is just that And that apparently ranges from simple to somewhat complex there's um gambling And do you like gambling?

And there's how big are the tits on the anime girls Okay, once you have your card collection The things you can do with that collection consist of they are essentially party members buying Yeah, but you can level them up and then you can fight other cards Well, no, you do in grand blues. You do story content. Okay. Oh, okay And and individual characters unlock their individual story content. Gotcha. It's less pokemon more mmo All right, so how much time did you spend on this about five hours cool got nowhere had Incredibly miserable time. Yep. Uh, I feel like I wasted my whole night. Guess what you spite loaded that game

That's a spite load. I did not spite load it Maybe in retro you had zero chance of actually enjoying it I gave it an honest shot right up until it's shit on me You never would have walked away from that happy with I gave it a goddamn honest shot You were you were you walked away happy that it was garbage? No, I didn't I walked away miserable that I had wasted my night and it's no closer to understanding I almost don't believe you but fine if you say so here's the thing though You can go I you know if you think you think it would have back and fucking well

No, I was gonna say would have helped to have like had a a handhold or a hip guide or along the way while you did this Oh, I spoke with the people on my discord for like the entire period I like 30 40 people Handholding me during that process as someone who has um has his hips guided through many new genres. Yeah, um I I'm like Yeah, I'm used to that version of things where someone's right on the line with you though I don't know what the discord group version of that is compared to say chaotic

Yeah ipatch wolf has been around town and um He uh, yeah that boy that tell me about hunter hunter woolly. Yeah, and basically the only thing was to just figure out Okay, how do you want how do you want this to go down the easy way or the hard way? and he chose the hard way so, uh We're going to be putting out some form of content. Was the other small piece of my week was catching up to the basement and getting to attack on titan and So there's more to that. I'm not going to spoil anything. And then feel like you kind of got something this just sure i'm doing for those who are listening in audio format

Is the setting of the table or the picnic? Yeah, as you put the you put the blanket down and then you reach into the basket and start putting items out Yeah items that don't belong there Are now on the picnic the uh on the picnic I'm just I I so I I you know, I read up, but I didn't read I didn't like read the manga. I just read up on what happened I really like the staging they use in that Last couple minutes With where the camera points

So I think it's really really fun So uh with with that and again no spoilers, uh attack on titan season three part two is just reminding me How much I enjoy well thought out pacing plot character development writing and action Uh, I saw a really good, uh, I was talking about it because I caught up all in one shot like damn like in one sitting And I was talking about on twitter and I got pointed out that there's an episode of that season That is a couple people

arguing on a roof For the whole fucking episode. That's the whole thing and it is the actual most tense dramatic episode of the series I have never been more invested in a conversation. Yeah and um Everything leading up to these points like I talked we talked a bit about how last season People tapped out at the political drama and I did it because I I loved the the how they set it all up I really enjoyed what was going on and some people were just like man. I just want more action. This sucks

And I'm like, there's plenty of action there. There's great action. There's a few monsters But but either way like the motivations behind the like I get like I don't know it's hard to say right It's like if you're tuned in for Not for like not because of the world and the setting and the characters in the mystery But just because of the the premise of like giants eating people. Yeah, then I guess you're not going to be satisfied Yeah, it's a what a six to ten episode But if you are there's no giants eating people But if you are in there for this whole thing then you're going to be really satisfied with where that second season goes

So with three now I'm just like reminded after going through All that game of throne shit and all that you know recent garbage just like I'm like, oh man God, it's really it's just so good to be like like That's what I think this character should do and or would do and act and they're like, you know They're acting consistently consistently. Yeah, right for better and for worse All the way around

Right and in some cases it's like we talk about how peter quill Being a dumb ass is the best thing in guardians 2. Yeah, and the worst thing in Infinity war part one despite being identical acts right his explosive anger does the same It's the same side of the coin and it just it's all a matter of context and perspective So you get to see that version of things happening with these characters in takatine And I just I enjoyed it the whole way through it was thoroughly thoroughly great And you just inject that money You take that syringe out and you tap it and you inject the money into the show and watch

Static shots of characters faces Are now even more expensive because they put more lines. Yeah, they found a way to make the horrified wide-eyed Uh, a thousand yard stare. Yeah, look even more gruesome because the the the individual cracks Underneath the bags of their eyes. There's something really special There's a shot in the fourth episode of the second part of the third season. Yeah, where it's getting really confusing Actually, where there's like a character Who it's really wild because it's like wow There's like a whole science to how this money is getting used because it's this long pan of a city

And then a shot of a guy's unmoving face Yes, and then the then a single still frame of the character looking to their right and a slow Pan of the scenery to their right and we're talking like a minute two minutes of like four pictures And you're like, oh a bunch of money's gonna happen And then a ton of money happens. It really does It really really does. Um, and the last thing I'll say about it is uh, the magic of Designing a good opening for your anime. Yeah cannot be understated because What we get to see here in part two of this is the boyfriend music is gone

And now we're back to what I would basically call Gurren no yamiya part two feels like An amalgam of the first three themes it and I say specifically the first one. Yeah, right? it feels like the sequel to the first opening of the show and Uh, the the this season's intro is basically one moment. Yeah, it's one moment It's one like 10 second piece out of the whole show for the whole intro But you're just appreciating All of it together with dramatic camera angles

Nice coloring nice music nice just direction, you know, but it's basically a music video of a single moment That is the whole season. Yeah, and fuck it's been great so far So attack on titan continues to wow me and uh, yeah, god bless. I saw that post spar and then by the way, uh, whoo. Yeah. Hey, yeah Guess what? What hey? Yeah got rocked. Yeah. Yeah You good. I'm good. Okay, but it went the way it changed I really feel like combat sports teach a lot of people really good good lesson Which is you're not gonna die if you get bopped one in the face

It's gonna suck ass though. Yeah, or the gut Um, I would way rather be punched in the face Then get a real just deep. Oh, no. We went we went guts. We went guts on it. Um, you know dudley's Uh forward throw. Yeah, that was basically me Getting hit, you know for a bit so it's the difference between uh and whore Yeah, um, but then and then we did a little bit of training and whatnot and yeah, man, um, my apps my cardio is Nowhere near where it needs to be for proper proper ring sparring, you know, like it's just three minutes, man It's just three minutes and then a break and then another and then a break and then another two actually

3500 hours in there too. But uh, so yeah, it was but it was really fun to do that And I really appreciate a hunter who was a fucking real boxer for taking me out to his gym and Getting some some some training in and whatnot even if it was very brief that we went next door and had some fucking steaks Mm-hmm. Uh because his dad like prepared some and they have a like a deer processing That's that's good boxing. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, and um Shout outs to abjurgo soul the artist who was out to hang out as well little vmills was there as well working out and playing some music for us and getting some push-ups in

And uh later on we were joined by one cura buckland last but definitely not always aka to be AKA damn better be jolene. Yeah. Yep. Better fucking be but for now, uh, ramie on the uh, on the on the part four Yep, and hey, um, like you may have seen her tweet, but literally on the plane back yesterday Gets her ticket. What seat are you in to be too fucking? It's like Dead like we watched it happen. It was like way to suck. It was wild. It was wild, but um Anyway, so yeah, combo con was fucking great. Um got to enjoy swerving by deer on the road a couple times Oh for real. Oh, because that's central michigan though. Oh, yeah, okay. It's that time, you know and um

The con the tournament itself was a really good time played the fighting games And this time the fighting games the fighting games were good And I actually finally got the chance to sit down and re Acquaint myself with my marvel And my bread and butters And then I was like I can play now I don't feel super bad and embarrassed anymore because I know how to do the things So I went and then I entered and played and you know, it whatever it went like terribly. I got wrecked

But like I didn't feel bad because I couldn't remember what to do. Yeah, that's a pretty god damn awful Right now I got to play and remember what to do I just got beat by things that I couldn't stop And I'm like that's fine as long as my game plan is still going So I reacquainted myself with marvel and rekindled the fire and god damn. I miss marvel 3 man That game was so much fun. Um playing as virginal so much even I know that playing as virginal is a lot of fun Yeah, sure is sure hope that sure feeling can be continued. Yep. Somehow. Anyway, I don't know how And uh beyond that. Hey, there was a uh, we got our nice. So it was a nice little like

drink of Rum apple pie and you drink it and it tastes like apple pie and that was delicious and uh the Grand finals wild card fucking tournament being a jenga match was awesome and hilarious So combo con was a good time. What legal backing is there on this because people are getting really pissed and there's probably gonna be class action lawsuit backing or not And the answer is well in the Kickstarter terms of service. Yes Kickstarter says the project can change No It says you got to give what you promised or give people their money back now nine times out of ten When you can't give people what you promised There's no fucking money to give back Because you ran out of money
