Queenstown and then just like kind of like drifted on the west coast and the like all of the crazy beautiful things you see anytime someone talks about like how ridiculous New Zealand is it's 90% South Island right like it's really kind of nuts where it's like everyone lives up in the North Island and the North Island is where the big populated cities are and like the places that look like here yeah and the South Island is all just like sheep and farms and nothing well the reason why it looks so pretty is because it's untouched it's untouched exactly and it's the place with the most like hyper protected land you

know don't fuck with this we need to film movies reservations and shit yeah pretty much a fucking sometimes film Japan in New Zealand it's like last samurai wasn't filmed in Japan was filmed in New Zealand because it's like similar topography a little bit especially in the forest it's it's kind of interesting though and said in the sense that like when you hit the road for so much of it it feels like Canada a lot of the time yeah it's a if Canada had less trees like it feels like you like if you could get all those dumb forests out of the way you'd see some really cool mountainous shit yeah well

I mean dope shit you went far enough west you'd see that cool mountain yeah the Rockies you got to drive through all the shitty parts of the country to get there and there's so many like like it's it the South Island is overwhelming in terms of just like fuck pull over the car look gotta go look at that yeah and it just doesn't stop and it was it was an insane obviously like the most yeah it's like without her probably the most beautiful place I've ever seen like it's out of control and you know and so like as you were going along and I had a couple spots planned where I was like hey maybe this would be a good place to

for a pet do something do something nice and the checking the weather and I was checking the tides and making sure I yeah because some of the I don't have that lunar luck some of the space but some of the places I was picking out involved like checking to see if the water was oh because that's not very romantic when you're like hey and then the tide just sweeps all your shit yeah well in particular like because there's there's again like at least two spots that involved water and I'm like let me make sure that that looks good because I looked up to check out like certain times of the year that nice romantic sort of

looking lake is just mud is a bomb and you're like oh no that's that guy on the stilts from fucking Mad Max in the background so that's no good we can't use that so no I just checked all that info and and and in the end it was hilarious because like all of that just went out the fucking window because we drove by a field and I was like oh that's where the boss fought snake yeah it's right there that's where that's where moonlit wilderness happened you know that's your intro to Xenoblade that's your perfect and like Windows desktop endless vista moment and yeah it's like what do you boot up when you

Lord of the Rings with the hobbits and shit and the album and all that crap oh on Christmas day on Christmas all right fuck thanks and so yeah and then whatever so why right like a few miles north of that is glaciers right crazy this place like really diverse so how is it glaciers it's on the south part so we're on the south part but there's a place called Mount Cook which is the large the tallest mountain in the in New Zealand and there's fucking glaciers on it and like you can go walk on them get helicoptered on to them and check it out and basically be like snow trekking you know and doing like ice level shit

and so we did that not we didn't go we didn't go on the glacier but we walk through the valley including through like like super deathfall rock tumble places and it's really kind of nuts how like people that like kind of live out there and do tours and stuff are pretty much putting their lives on the line every single morning but you got to go find out so that other tourists don't like you know eat shit too hard so you gotta do it first and it's see if it's safe yeah it's that moment where you look over I say oh careful about that shit why that's where Jimmy died basically I I'm like hey so tours over

that was really awesome thank you you ever see any fucked up shit and like the guys was like yeah no there has been like seeing a backpack on its own somewhere going that's not correct why is that there would that even get there sort of femur next right and like spending what little time you can in this sort of danger zone because rocks can fall at any minute it's literally like don't stop moving when you're standing when you're here and kind of looking around going like that shouldn't be there trying to figure out okay I guess hmm looking up triangulating let me go report that in and then after

reporting in like like getting back to like chaos at the base where people are like yeah helicopter just went down and you just saw part of it basically you know and not to mention seeing like at like spot at like potential romantic spot like four of many we like it was like really really gorgeous but there's a plaque there that's just like back in 1989 some 21 year old kid took up like five or six you know tourists and didn't know what the fuck he was doing in a helicopter and you know so yeah that does happen people are doing bungees off of like the world's largest like drops that you can cliff size and what yeah

yeah the god that thing is specific name for it but yeah doing bungee jumps into chasms it basically right and like and then there would be terrified of hitting the sides more than it's it's it's nuts it's nuts you know and like and some of the places we stayed because it's such a high demand like time of year we're all like you have like hotels motels in and then there's these special places like backpacker inns that are made for like extreme backpackers man going in on all the stunts and and and and skydives and shit and like we're just bagging along with our garbage up to the room and just hearing everyone telling their stories

of like diving out of planes and fucking dancing on lava and doing amazing crazy shit and you're just like fucking on lava you basically you know and I'm like like wow okay we just want the room like that's all we're here for but you know you kind of you kind of get a get a feel for like what other people are here doing in this in this particular town anyway past the glacier you make we made it up to the friends of friends Joseph Glacier made it up to Nelson where you go from being on a glacier to literally at the beach in the water tropical sounds like you're playing through a sonic game it makes no sense on

the same like again within miles of each other within a day's drive you're on the beach right you didn't go with us last time but it's like all that's some of that maybe it's cuz it's so big but it's like California is like you can see mountains with ice yeah you can see a beach there yeah you can see a canyon there desert over there and like a gigantic redwood trees it's like it's such a big area is New Zealand like just in terms of mass really huge I mean it's not bigger than us but it's not enough space and it's placed right on that spot near the equator where you can like you're getting again and you're

getting a huge gamut of hodgepodge of weather and flavors exactly so you know like if you're looking at it like that Yoshi's Island kind of rotation of like there's the cold there's the warm yeah you know the forest and the caves went to caves right again from beach over to bioluminescent worm caves what level of claustrophobia like level caves that we talk in not that plenty of room huge really every time I think about caves I think about that fucking guy I got fucking stuck in that thing yeah no no no this is start to freak out so this was we walk through like a bunch of cave like in the darkness and then

you're seeing like the cool glowing worms and stuff and it looks like stars on the ceiling cool and then they kind of turn the lights on for a bit so you can see like where you're standing and you're like imagine like you know like the castle where you fight Emilia right you know like the church room that you kind of you fight yeah right yeah like imagine that but like almost like and that level of like almost like like reverence and like church feeling this but just built out of stone and rock like completely organic super incredible like stupid beautiful kind of thing and you're like okay yep that's happening

here and you get in a boat and then like you go through silent like back with channels and the kid the worms overhead to get out of it so again video games you're just video gaming it through the whole time and it's silly death cave zone yeah so anyway I basically ended up filming like just ridiculous amounts of beautiful panoramas and going like oh this is a terrible video oh yeah there's no bit here there's no jokes to make there's nothing actually just so I kind of yeah Matt Matt made this thing where you walked in right when he first saw you today before he records the hey big adult it's like not only did the

isolation yeah and this was after a New Year's Eve trip up to a place called Gizborn aka Gizzy because that's how everything is abbreviated you know Wellington is Welley and Nintendo's Ninty so that was and it's just like you can't do seven hours go do a New Year's like thing celebrate that and then drive another five like you're just gonna die so we had to skip out on the the Hobbiton I have to like check the the thing on this but remember they're supposed to be that sequel to what we do in the shadows yeah we're wolves we're wolves I think I read something where they want to change that slightly to be

like the New Zealand cop show but they only find paranormal shit that did that they constantly disregard like in what we do in the shadows like this is clearly a werewolf attack but it must be this golden retriever he's gonna have to be put down like that's the show or the movie where it's just paranormal like NZ cops I find that apparently that the what should we call it the original show there the flight of the flight of the Concord is the band like they actually pitched that to be aired on New Zealand TV and got shut down and rejected and thus they then went over to the States and like and it got accepted

there and then aired there but like the New Zealand TV stations didn't want flight of the Concord so I was like that's fucked up exotic to other nations so so yeah so that was all cool had a cool fan meet-up slash fighting game meet-up and Wellington had another one in Auckland chilled played some good games had some fun times that was cool thank you guys for coming out there yeah like there's people a lot watching our dumb shit everywhere man everywhere you just look at the world map and you just look at what is the thinnest it cracks me on the YouTube analytics and you're just like that one's white that no one

is watching and there was like one guy like Madagascar and it was like one wow and then you look at China and it's like 12 and it's you know and so on and so forth it's there and it makes sense though it's there I mean and who knows how many people are actually like watching that monitor you know like none of them as I viewing party yeah all 12 people looking at one screen as it's in the background while they play video games so I was gonna say I saw Kiwi saw birds seen it name Ivy it was not however was it walking back and forth in a sepia tone it was it was like like protected and isolated because those

things were worshipped as a god because those things get wrecked by everyday random shit like cats dogs and stoats so it's like what wait what are yeah okay so here's the fucked up crazy awesome thing about New Zealand when it comes to animal population there were originally no land animals whatsoever they're just brought over they were all imported they're all non-indigenous when they got there the only things that were indigenous were the birds because they flew and found out wow okay not right so like unlike crazy Australia like New Zealand had zero zero land animals so everything there was brought in and can

be basically tracked back so Kiwis some dumb ass to some fuck that you or some guy that was like hey sheep hey guys sheep yeah super cool let's do it cows got it yep do it like Kiwis do they do they fly or they not fly I don't know Kiwis are flightless birds so then they must brought over now they must have flown over and then they fucking forgot yeah so yeah the how do you well let me is my full extension there's nothing that will attack me so fuck it if we're if we're to go on the lore right of the Maori then the Kiwi was actually one of many birds that was asked because though the basically there's a suit there's a you

know badass Maori god warrior guy cool that like was walking through and seeing how the trees were all dying and rotting because bugs were eating my way and shit and then like they're like that's terrible we need to save the forest and help out birds you need you to help me get rid of these bugs and stuff fair enough right and then like he goes one by one to all the different birds and then the birds are all like bitching out and like nah fuck you we can't help you like he's like oh I want one bird is like I can't I got to go deal with my eggs I got them I need to focus on them the other ones like nah I'm too busy looking at my

pretty fluff feathers and it's each one is like a thing that that bird is sure the Kiwi's like yeah I got you bro and he's like really because the Kiwi has nothing going on and he's like are you sure and he's like yeah yeah I'll take care of it I want to help out it's like okay but if you do this you're gonna lose your wings you're never gonna be able to fly again and you're gonna get sick badass like feet though right but also you'll never see the sunlight again right you're gonna be nocturnal and you're gonna be down there forever in the dirt but you're gonna be a badass and he's like yeah let's do it it's a

great and then from then on basically he's like okay so he put the Kiwi down and the Kiwi is nocturnal picks away at the bugs and saves the trees and he's like the Kiwi's the most famous and badass bird everyone loves it and everything yeah but the others you are now marked as cowards right like the one that must have been all over this it was amazing like the full the one that has the the plume of feathers and whatnot it's like it has two like white feathers on its chest and it's like yeah those two white feathers are given to you as the mark of a coward right you're you'll forever be with that scarf and ninja

guidance and then the other one was that the type of bird that like doesn't have its own nest but has to lay its eggs in like nests of other other birds and hope that it's like super cow and it's like yeah you'll never get to have your own badass you're right you get no nest for you right that and then there are they were all cursed with some dumb shit which is fine exactly which and that's like you know though that's an amazing story but all I hear in my brain is like that the Kiwi is too stupid to get out of jury duity I mean but now the Kiwi is like the most now it now lives in the dirt and gets clowned on by cats it

does it does but again it's celebrated and it's a it's a high as icon and it's a hero like the it's a martyr the the people of New Zealand liken themselves with its moniker they literally call themselves Kiwi yeah that kind of confused me when you said so I saw Kiwi and I in my brain I'm like how did you go this entire story so far without seeing one key oh yeah that's the favorite noise not to mention there's also the fruit yes which that was actually I learned that that was actually just a whole like ridiculous marketing gimmick where the fruit Kiwi was actually originally known as Chinese gooseberries and they decided

that's not a great name let's do something about that shall we let's just use the name we already used for other things and so they went with Kiwi because they were like yeah we can just pitch that and everyone knows what that is and food's names are they don't make a lot of them to make no sense it's it's yeah exactly so you know anyway oranges aren't even orange it's true it's it's goofy but like yeah one thing and then I'll get into I guess other things when I've actually slapped that thing together but no one fucking told me about the pies dude what pies are a quintessential part this is a little on everyone's diet I

people of New Zealand that kind of realized how awesome that was because for a long time they had a they had a whole thing where it's like they didn't have as bad of a of a cultural landing as let's say Australia did or some of the other places where they're just like let's go fucking let's just go the history of interactions with indigenous peoples has not been universally positive worldwide let's cut a path through this forest and some of these trees are people all right but they got gold son and it wasn't perfect but they still had a a much like better deal overall in a lot of different ways but

to a series of podcasts by Dan Carlin his hardcore history podcast is what it's called I've heard about hardcore history and we listen to the Wrath of the Cons which was about Genghis Khan and how he fucking owned the world Cal Drogo style it was incredible and super good and they're very long it's a lot of listening five episodes each one is multiple hours long you're in for a haul but it's an audiobook it's basically and it's history so it's all real shit that you're trying to like learn in detail about that's a good fucking air airplane killer oh yeah for sure and it's and it's really intense in the way

that it's like we learn about Genghis Khan or Genghis Khan I should say yeah really yeah it's actually you can flip the syllables around because there's different ones it's like this is how I felt one of us like glory to Kaisar Kaisar that sucks I didn't know about that it's not Kaisar right it's not that type of thing but it's more like it's whatever video games told me there's different there's different pronunciations for certain things and you can go either way with it he chooses to say Genghis yeah you know but you yeah if you want to say Genghis everyone knows what you're talking about the point is

is it's a really cool like detailed lesson and not just the glossing over that you get from their history books which we got in in you know grade 10 and it's also kind of really framing the whole thing in a way where you look back at like great man of history as you would you know and you kind of go like yeah these conquerors man these guys were badasses and did all these things and you know and you know and you really go like how many millions on 2030 yeah okay well anyway he brought this got that check mark in the history book and you kind of don't realize especially when you take that insane number like you get

legal like you know you take your like 20 million people killed in a time when the population of earth is one billion maybe barely yeah it's unthinkable how many people you kill oh I'm on a percentage point scale now oh and like they and like getting to the point where you have to have a system for like how you get through this many people and and have your army rolled out and still not be exhausted to go to war the next day type of it's it's madness dude but it's such an interesting listen and you learn about how close like the world was to actually just being like New Mongolia yeah like fuck Nazis conquering the

world like it was so much closer right and like and it was just because of crazy shit with like their rule set and like how things work basically it was just like like within seconds almost of like Europe getting rocked and taken over from the entire for all the way to the to the coast like every time a condyce everyone's got to roll back and so it was just like we're about to take over the world our condyce we got to roll back and then everyone just pulled out and left that's a bad system yeah it's fucking but it's like that's the only reason why we're not all speaking Mongolian it's insane anyway alright

running around doing his filming dipod was there and dipod had his build for his shit and like trying to get in to figure out where that's going on and like time frames I had the fight night guys pointed out to me no less than three times crew yeah just never ended up making the 10 foot journey over to them it's it's madness in that way the one that got me though is me and me and I patch wolf we're talking shit at each other for third strike for like two full days and we're never at any point able to make the the actual thing happen yeah so that that that bullshit is ongoing yeah and when online edition comes out

that whatsoever all right this is being built as a thing where it's like base it's almost like an art installation actually it is an art installation okay where the intent is so that you can't actually get good or win at it it's just meant to be a mass simulator of sorts and you are effectively like and she's like surprised at how the FGC is like oh my god this is amazing and like super embracing it and she's like gonna be taking it to CEO and stuff but it's a super weird outsider project that is like not didn't expect that this would be something the FGC would love and she thought it would be like actually she

thought everyone would hate it and it's like no this is what we need no words like a hundred button fighter and I immediately like if you said 12 button fighter yeah a hundred button fighter cuz the the thought is let's bring that skill ceiling down to the floor but what the FGC guys see is the skill ceiling kicked up into space and now it's a challenge and that's what I'm trying to explain I'm like and she's like I'm telling and she's like no no I'm making changes to make sure that people are not gonna consistently win and I'm like I'm telling you no you can't not going to there's that people will see that as a
