It's also where plot goes away No, there's still a plot, but it's still but it's pretty much just like hey Do a bunch of optional quests and track some some random you go find that pink rathian

We're gonna talk about some shit going on Okay, cuz you know like there's definitely they're that and there's new things to him like hey Why are a bunch of like skull kids popping up out of the ground? Oh the Lachas yeah, and i'm like clearly there's a there's something going on with them. They're insanely strong. They can kill you easy Um, I kill them hard. Oh you you actually go after them I'm not gonna get bombed and and grenade from a distance so here's the deal though If you're fighting a monster near them and the monster clips them with any attack They will throw all that shit at the monster and they will fuck that monster. Oh interesting. Okay, huh?

But either way yeah right now fucking bagel goose is So there's there's it's it's the it's the problem that you can't I clearly cannot fight yet So there's a couple so that is uh, you know that remember they put out the dlc trailer that said devil joe is coming It's gonna be the same thing right that it devil joe Was invader the 3u invader monster. Yeah, and before that it was rajang and rajang's like a monkey He's like a he turns super sane. He's literally a go is this going to be a gameplay thing until that mission comes up No, it's going to be a gameplay thing on every single map that basil goose is on Which in most of early high rank is every single map. Yeah

So there's there's that problem go away that problem will go away somewhat As you get later in the game that you're doing more investigations rather than just missions Uh, there's oftentimes basil is not on the map Also, there's two things that you should know to deal with basil one throw shit in his mouth Throw a dung bomb in his face. Okay. He doesn't like it. It makes him run away The dung bomb was created to solve this problem, but it has to be in an open mouth No, no, I just I just liked it. No, you just hit any part of their body

And they get this huge shit aura that pulses off them Oh, that's how you make things run and they they hate it. They're like i'm covered in shit I didn't know what the dung pod was for. Yeah, that's what's for And the second thing is to figure out why he shows up. He shows up. He attacks anything that roars on the map So You you know when he's gonna come So when you when you know when you I thought it was just a timer No, he attacks anything that roars on the map and when he leaves that's because something else on the map roars

Oh Otherwise he just floats around forever I've noticed he does his own I ran away and I watched him from a distance and i'm like, are you gonna leave and it's like No, he's not so he like he will he will hang out for a while with you And so like say you're fighting rathian or whatever, you know, you the monster discovers you yeah the monster roars Yeah, there's your timer. There's your timer. You now have 40 seconds until you get dive bombed. Yeah. Yeah. Um So what I found out was actually probably the most useful thing is just just Like let him show up

And then just stop fighting. Well, I do what am I the current solution is stop and then The thing he's fighting will inevitably run from him He's so much stronger than the stuff you're fighting and then fight the thing on its own when it gets to its new location So my favorite part is because he's explosive He often breaks monster parts for you sure and uh what sucks is how those parts disappear sometimes Like especially in like the arena matches where you're fighting like two things at a time You kill one early and then yeah, the rain matches is when it's actually really bad And you're like, are you fucking kidding me? I can't pick up both afterwards. Like that sucks just carve carve now

Yeah, carve fast. Yeah, um, so anyway, there's that and uh, we can we can jump back in and take a look at Different because I'm significantly different from the last time you should be the the shittiest I guess I won't I won't spoil what's different But a lot of the shittiest High rank armor is way better than the best low rank armor. Yeah, like it is it is a quantum leap Also, now that you're in high rank, you can start like building shit with the the The purpose of keeping it forever like oh, I really like the skills this gives I can build it and upgrade it and upgrade it and upgrade it. Yes, but but no it's uh, it's it's definitely

You know, there's been some interesting like like discoveries and and whatnot um Some shit is like way more annoying to track than others um Like uh, uh, god, what the fuck the the thing that inflates with air palumas. Yeah palumas is the worst He puts two

Footprints on the ground and then just picks up and goes out palumas is the worst. You're like, are you fucking kidding me multiple reasons? One is Yeah, he leaves little tracks two When he moves around the map for whatever reason the spots that he moves to are insanely far apart It's crazy flies the whole way It's crazy and I saw I like eyes on and then it was like no that's not good enough to show you where he's at Well, luckily if you want to hunt palumu a bunch you will eventually get him like hit your familiarity with him Will be high enough that you'll just load in and immediately know where he is

But but the but the problem is because he leaves so few tracks You don't get as much as you do anything else So the so it takes long to get the the last part about palumu is that because he flies so often He flies the most of any monster and the longest distances He often will freak out and fly too high. He'll fly like a thousand feet above the map And uh, oh doggie ron's turf war with him does not have a fucking y-axis limiter Oh, no, so that's where those videos come in in which a dog Oh dog ron starts to freak out and you see the turf war

Yeah, yeah, and then you see oh dog ron Just jump and just start to float up like a thousand feet and grab him and their little dots And then they come all the way down and he slams them on the ground. That's ridiculous You there are those monster fights are cool though. I will say that not enough. They're way not enough There's some really awesome like kaiju battle us battle moments in terms of like two giant things fighting each other Yeah, they're not kaiju though. They're not they're way smaller. There is one that is kaiju animals. They are But there's also demon dragon things. Let's assure in terms of elder dragons are a threat to ecology They're biology fucking refutes all known science

but like they're but like it's interesting seeing like when like uh one thing into like for example when like a Badass like a dragon thing interacts with like a giant like snake thing And it grabs it by the like with its talons and then fucking just like suplexes it You know and then like are you getting like these really like it like interesting animations or like the wrap around Oh, Joe Thomas versus bear versus bear is really good, right? There's these unique things and like yeah, there definitely isn't I think oh dog rons or odogadan whatever looks is All the best because he will attack everything. Yeah, he has a turf war with almost everything in his area He'll attack rotobahn and bite its face off

He'll attack palumu and shake it around like it's like but yeah, that was nuts That was one against a monster that you haven't seen which is uh his turf war against the monster that beats him Which is the elder dragon volzak the zombie one from the trailers In which he jumps on it and bites the shit out of it And vol doesn't even notice and then just spreads his wing and does a burst That just knocks odogaran away and he runs away This Does kiran ever show up naturally or is it just a selective? I thought he meant jiren. No, he meant he meant kiran

Just a giant unicorn guess what kiran fulfills the same role. He's so strong and he's so annoying So I have really bad news for you about kiran How do you like to fight kiran? Is that a fun fight for you? It's not well Well, I got the thunder mantle, but still yeah, you need that shit So kiran kiran, you will get a regular optional mission to fight him. Yeah, I have that Yeah, the next time that you get a mission to fight him So here's the deal once you beat the game you there's there's some post game stuff in terms of like ranking up and unlocking newer stuff Because there's a progression like a third progression after high rank sure

um the first The first mission you have to clear is to tempered basil geese Which is basil geese that that do 50 percent more damage Okay, and the The second one is you have to defeat a tempered kiran whose lightning will one shot you no matter what Okay, well that can go fuck itself It's um Gaijin hunter was on twitter at one point like right after the game came out like fucking screaming

Why is the worst fight in the game what you need to beat to get into the end game? What the fuck is this? That is ridiculous. Don't worry. You'll do it. Sure. Um, Um, yeah, I mean the the the the trick of like calling in the Japanese Eventually I saw Stops, I saw something that was like hey if you need some help fucking put out an sos and three level 400 Japanese guys Will just show up. Yeah, and that does work for the most part, but eventually it doesn't yeah, you know Well, there's a really specific point There's a like a lull in which anyone good enough to do this is doing the stuff past it. So that's why I'm having I'm currently at that point to anybody who has trouble with that tempered basil geese quest I do have a piece of advice you have 50 minutes to do that quest because basil goose is so aggressive They will attack each other and can kill each other That's crazy They at around the 40 minute mark one of them will kill the other And then the remaining one will be at like 10 percent. Oh, wow. How about that? So just wait it out if it's just too hard Damn, it's because they they don't stop and when they get mad they roar and that draws the other one towards them

And it just it just never stops and then you just fucking hide and watch. Yeah, um So there's a whole lot of that was was that was a lot of my week because Despite what you say I can turn my brain off and play a pve game. Yeah, no problem. Well, yeah, that's what it is I was making a joke because it's like it it becomes more involved like every step further becomes more involved Yeah, like no now that now that i'm fucking sending out tail raiders and and miss melting and using decorations and everything It's becoming really complex, but it's still pve. Yeah, or you could play something like the impatient world like wow that was incredibly disappointing This is the first playstation vr game I'm playing like I'm going to boot this up again and I want to continue this because it is a good game That happens to be in vr rather than But its vr components are also really interesting. Okay, so you're already like what the fuck. Okay, you play as a little red wall ish mouse and a red wall ish style universe Does it feel like you're playing a little toy on a field and you're looking like let's say the perspective of pickman You're looking down at a forest floor. Yeah, but it's all red wall Like type a like a little mice and badgers and squirrels and there's armies and knights and stuff Okay, and you are just watching this play out and you're controlling the mouse then the mouse gets a um a guffin Looks up and notices you okay You then look down at a reflection in the river and you're this forest god

Cool that is watching this all play out and you can manipulate really interesting in the environment to help the mouse out In terms of platforming but like the mouse can just do like fight and do combos with a sword And you can upgrade your sword and you have a dive like sword strike and i'm like that's really fun So you're directly controlling him Yeah, okay, but you're also just moving like mystical blocks around that only you can move And has a really interesting story thing where they were like we're unconfident with how to make these animals sound So when they need to dump a bunch of story you go to this ancient library And that's done in first person you're reading a story book of someone reading this story

And you're called the observer. It's much like um The the never-ending story where the person reading the book is in the story now, right? And I was just like wow. This is fantastic. This is awesome And i'm looking around at like the forest canopy and i'm like sunbeams coming in your face I'm like, this is so gorgeous. It is a 37.7 gig by demo For yakuza 6 that was released last week The demo was advertised with a couple of relative the unique features one your progress in the demo will carry over 100 to the real game Two you'll get achievements in the demo. So the reason why that is is because the demo is literally the full game with a lock on the end of chapter one also, guess what it's way easier like, uh Like build wise to just not put the work in sure with that shit

Well, guess what one those builds way less testing when there's when they're so similar That you can't tell which version you uploaded to the north american playstation store This happens so that's so crazy because like I so behind the scenes on that is Those two builds have completely different version numbers. Oh, yeah, that can't happen Well, it can if the premastering guy is doing his job What if you're lazy and stupid it clearly it clearly happened and sega said that a technical error has allowed players to Unlock the full game. But that's not it. Is it horseshit? Yeah, just the full game was uploaded You just play it and there's no lock. There's no lock. Yeah, that's that's ridiculous

If you're connected to the internet, this has since been fixed. They've revoked everybody's licenses, obviously But people blew through the entire game in like two days But if you have it sitting on your hard drive, do you get a message saying it puts the lock symbol on it? Because I was not aware, you know, I don't I never worked in game dev, right? So I'm like even if this is not any particular specific person's fault It has to become someone's specific fault at the end of the day with this kind of not there is a minimum There is a straight up This was your job. There is a minimum of two people that blame needs to be laid at Yeah, there's heads need to roll for sure And there's a minimum of two people that would need to get to to eat that shit because it was their specific job to Right let this happen one person versioned it another person filled out the paperwork or the the white papers if you would and uh

The quickest way to do it Just break this thing at the end and if you do things like say you'll have your achievements and you'll keep your saves That's not because hey look we're giving you this cool bonus.
