Howdy, friends. Amber Lee Frost here on behalf of Labor Campaign for Single-Pair Healthcare,
and I have a mission for you. As you probably already know, Labor Campaign for Single Health
Care is an organization of unions who are bringing more unions into the fight to win
Medicare for All. They don't accept corporate or foundation money and many of their union
affiliates have experienced mass layoffs, so they have to cut back on their contributions.
We are going to fill that gap. So, as an employment-based healthcare system melts down in the face
of the COVID depression, taking healthcare off the bargaining table by making it a right
for every American couldn't be more urgent. So, they're getting ready to challenge the
Biden administration's narrow view of healthcare reform as a market reform and they need your
support. I know a lot of people are spread really thin right now. There's a ton of worthy
charities and volunteer opportunities that are desperate for your help, but this is
something different. This is organizing for the long run, and it's an investment in work
and power. It's an investment in your own healthcare, and they need help to keep fighting
for everyone, including you. You might have heard us on the podcast talking about how
left politics are going to need a big, strong, organized we to get anything done. That we
is going to be workers and unions and organizations like Labor Campaign for Single Payer. Labor
makes us big and strong, so donate what you can as soon as you can and tell everyone you
know to donate. In fact, you should donate, tweet about it, and say that Amber sent you
because sometimes when I do these plugs, I get union swag out of it. And I love presents.
Also, if you are interested in getting more involved in Labor Campaign for Single Payer,
their strategy conference is being held virtually January 23rd to 24th. We'll have a link to
the donation page and the conference registration in the description. Give what you can so we
can all have fucking healthcare one day, and so that I can get presents.
