Starting point is 00:00:32 And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. All right, so I'm looking at a story about Sean Diddy Combs. And he was just, well, and Judge said that he now owes a sexual assault judgment against this embattled producer and entrepreneur who claimed that Sean Diddy Combs sexually assaulted him. And the judge said, yeah, you owe him $100 million. And you're going to pay him $10 million a month starting October 1st. And so that case is still going there, fighting it back and forth. The judge followed this restraining order against Combs. The guy's an inmate.
Starting point is 00:01:19 He's in prison as we speak. And he has a history of challenging the judicial system. And the lawsuit claims that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted this guy. in 1997 in Detroit, and the judge set out a payment schedule of that $10 million a month, starting October 1st. Now, there was a default judgment since Combs had failed to appear for a virtual hearing. They claim that they sent the information to the wrong address, and they're swiftly fighting it, no problem.
Starting point is 00:01:53 My favorite part of the whole story, though, is that's an agonizing story to think that this actually took place. And that, you know, the judge said, yeah, 100 million to this prisoner. Go ahead. And you owe him $10 million a month. So the guy claimed that they were at a party and he was having sex with all these people that they met at this party, two women. And he claimed that Combs later offered him a drink, which was spiked, caused him to pass out. He said he woke up, saw Combs having sex with a woman.
Starting point is 00:02:27 Combs allegedly said to him, I did this to you too. So, I mean, is it true? I don't know. But, you know, we'll see. Now, we'll see if it's perceived on what happens with it. And so, you know, he said that he claimed that Combs offered him a settlement of 2.3 million. But he declined and said he would proceed with the legal. action and then, you know, this is where we're at right now.
Starting point is 00:03:03 But my favorite part of the whole story, the whole thing, at the end of the story, it talks about, well, Combs has denied most of the multiple sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him. In June, he admitted to insulting his ex-girlfriend, Casey Ventura. Yeah, we saw the video, Sean Diddy? But, and that's why he admitted it, because there was the video from the hotel. And now he had later apologized and said to the reason that there was the video, yeah, I was f***ed up. Oh, oh, okay, yeah, yeah, what are you going to do?
Starting point is 00:03:43 What are you going to do? Yeah, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assault her, but, you know, I was f***ed up. That's awesome. It's awesome. So terrible. Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. All right, let's go around the world and see what's happening around the world.
Starting point is 00:04:04 We'll start, I guess, in the United States here. We'll start in the U.S., and then we'll end in the U.S. We'll go all the way around. We'll start in, I don't know, Alaska. Alaska National Forests have unveiled the 2024 U.S. Capitol Christmas tree logo. And, man, it is beautiful. It is, you just don't see a national Christmas tree logo. tree forest logo like they've got from Alaska this year.
Starting point is 00:04:34 It is, man, it is gorgeous, just gorgeous. It features the Tungas and the Chugat National Forest. And it's the 2024 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree logo symbolizing Alaska's national forest and the theme, where nature people and tradition come together. The logo represents the people's tree to Americans across the country. Team Alaska is proud and proud to unveil the 2024 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree logo. And what a symbol to represent Alaska's gift to the American people this season. The People's Tree, the annual icon of hope and celebration.
Starting point is 00:05:16 And this year's logo offers an opportunity to highlight Alaska's majestic landscape, unique culture, rich traditions, diverse ecosystems, and abundant resources. It also speaks to the deep connection. Alaskans, especially Alaska natives, have what the lands they call home. Now, they went to Alaska to look for a Christmas tree. They hunted everywhere all around, and they wanted to find the perfect Christmas tree. They used this aerial-based LIDAR system,
Starting point is 00:05:50 so they were able to model individual characteristics for over 13.5 million trees. and then filter those characteristics to provide areas of where ideal candidates may be. Then they narrowed down the selection to just seven trees, and then they went out and took a look at all the seven trees, just stopping through the Tungas Forest, and even journeying by boat to reach islands in the National Forest, which is where they got the tree from.
Starting point is 00:06:18 So how do they get the tree from there to Washington, D.C.? Well, they're going to cut it down. They're going to kill it. bastards and then they're going to ship it to the land and then they're going to put it on a truck and it's going to go on a Christmas tree whistle stop tour across the country on its way to Washington, D.C., the people's tree. So, man, that's something to look forward to there, huh? Then we go across the Pacific to Fukushima.
Starting point is 00:06:50 And amazingly, Fukushima is hawking their peaches, the Fukushima peaches. Now, I'm guessing that they're fine. I just know that since the Fukushima disaster, you know, they really haven't sold a lot of fruit from that particular area. Well, now shoppers in London are paying high prices for the Fukushima peaches in London. Now, if you spend a hundred bucks in London, You can get three of the perfectly formed ultra-sweet delicacies, the Fukushima Peaches, excellent fresh fruit, where produce is carefully nurtured and grown to develop its flavor.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Yeah, it could have anything to do with the nuclear disaster at all, at all. Now, would I have a Fukushima peach? You bet. you bet i'm all for it let's cut it up put a little sugar on it i'm good with it let's have a little you know probably don't even need sugar it's so sweet coming from fukushima but man do i want fukushima peaches oh man i just i tell you what uh i'm not positive that this is actually a selling point for them but i'm pretty sure after you eat fukushima peaches you're going to radiate I know. See what I did there?
Starting point is 00:08:26 Then you go to Israel and we have airstrikes hitting humanitarian zone in Gaza. You bastard. You Israelis. Yeah, 19 people and wounding at least 60 others. Per Hamas run health ministry. So we know that that isn't true. But whatever. Israel says it targeted senior militants.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Yeah. Yes, we did. And we're just going to continue to attack. Do more. Let's end this thing by ending Hamas. Ukraine has targeted inland Russia, including Moscow, with 140 drones, killing one woman and sparking building fires in the largest attack of its kind. Wow. So they're finally doing something with the money we've given them instead of deep pocketing and buying homes and cars and yachts. So that's kind of good.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Then we have southeastern Sudan, where we have a huge. artillery attack there, where 21 people died, 70 others were wounded. Attack comes after the U.S. and Saudi brokered peace talks failed. They tried to add to civil war, and of course, it didn't. And so just another African country divided and fighting and telling us to get lost. That's great. Good times. Good times there. And then we have Tiger Woods meeting with PGA tour officials
Starting point is 00:09:55 and with members of the Saudi Arabia's public investment fund. They're getting ready to invest in the PGA because they've already invested in into Live. And I forget how much they've given Liv. But they're looking to invest a billion dollars or more into the PGA.
Starting point is 00:10:15 And so does, I mean, is it always about the money? Yeah. is. I don't care how much money you have. If you're Tiger Woods, if you're the public investment fund from Saudi, no matter how much money you have,
Starting point is 00:10:32 if you need medication and can't get it, that's a problem. And that seems to be a problem going on around the world and specifically in this country. And it should make you nervous. And you should
Starting point is 00:10:48 be prepared. Even if you have a billion dollars from Saudi Arabia, you still should be prepared. And there's something you can do that you and your loved ones have medication on hand when it's needed. It's a solution that thousands of people have already discovered. It's called the Jace case.
Starting point is 00:11:06 And it'll allow you to start stocking up on medication now, so you're prepared. So whether you're... I don't care how much money you have. A billion? Or a lot less than a billion like me. The Jace case is something that is really nice to have.
Starting point is 00:11:23 The Jace case is a personalized emergency kit that contains essential antibiotics and medications that treat the most common and deadly bacterial infections. Starting point is 00:12:28 And we'll begin when passenger Fisher is done celebrating. 19 plus Ontario only. Please play responsibly. concerned about your gambling or that if someone close you, call 1-8665-312 or visit comicsonterio.ca. You know, we've talked about how times when the lotto is really big and, you know, like it says you, then it says there was a winner in the state that you live in that you purchased the ticket in. So you still think you got a shot and you don't want to check your ticket because
Starting point is 00:12:58 you want to just have that moment of it could be me, it could be me. and most times like me, it's not. Well, yesterday I'm filling up my car and I see the sign in the window that says Mega, $800 million. $800 million. And I thought, okay, I'm in a hurry. Mega draws on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:13:20 I'll get my ticket tomorrow and I'll go and I left. Well, actually the drawing was last night and very disappointed. And someone won in the state of Texas. And I know that it wasn't me because I didn't have a ticket. That is heartbreaking. Heartbreaking.
Starting point is 00:13:39 So congratulations. I mean it. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. It may not sound like I mean it, but, well, you take it whatever you want. But congratulations to whoever won the $800 million mega millions jackpot. Oh, that just, that just. 1-2-16 24-66 Mega ball 6 that was my numbers
Starting point is 00:14:03 that would have been my numbers congratulations so it doesn't say let's see the Grand Prize is the 7th largest prize in games history four players in California Florida New York and Washington matched the five white balls to win a million
Starting point is 00:14:20 Grand Prize carries one-time cash payout of $404.2 million dollars doesn't say where in Texas the mega millions was purchased. Okay, it was at a Murphy U.S. convenience store. Okay, that's Walmart. That's their Murphy gas stations. In Sugar Land, Texas, the player chose a quick pick ticket
Starting point is 00:14:48 where the computer picks the numbers. Congratulations. I mean, I'm happy for you because that hurt. That hurts. So now it's back down to 20 million, almost worth not even looking at the sign for 20 million. I guess I can play the Powerball, which is today, if you're listening live,
Starting point is 00:15:08 the 11th of September, 2024. Wow, 9-11. Wow, it's 23 years since 9-11. Let's pause for a moment. I'll get back to 9-11. The Powerball is $134 million, 67.6 million cash payout. I will have a ticket for that tonight.
Starting point is 00:15:27 and I planned on having a ticket for the $800 million mega millions, and that obviously didn't happen. So it's been 23 years, 23 years since 9-11. Wow. There are times when it feels like, yep, it just happened. I watched some of the footage this morning on some of the cable networks, and it brought back all these memories of the day
Starting point is 00:15:52 and what happened and following the attack. And then on the other hand, thinking 23 years that's i mean the people are voting in this election that have no idea nothing no idea and uh it's almost it's at least one lifetime ago uh man 9 11 uh 9 11 2001 that's just a that's another lifetime ago and really for me two lifetimes ago uh there's been a lot that's gone on in that time frame so you know never remember or i mean never forget has turned into, yeah, we remember that. Yeah, we remember that.
Starting point is 00:16:33 Never forget. Yeah, we remember that. Yeah. Yeah, they ring the bell and read off the names every year in New York. We see the memorial. Yeah, we remember. Never forget, though. Never forget.
Starting point is 00:16:48 I will say it's hard to forget. For me, simply because any time I think to myself, man, I've almost forgot about 9-11. Then I stand in a TSA line and I realize that's why. That's how I'd mean. I'm sorry. I'd never, I'd never forget. Never forget.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Because I'll 9-11. Never forget 9-11. Yes, I'll take my shoes off. That wasn't even a 9-11 thing. That was a guy coming into Detroit with this shoe bomb. Don't even. All right, I'll stop. 9-11.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Never forget. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink. Desperately. So if you are looking to be an actor, an aspiring actor or actress, there is a casting call extras needed for Yellowstone. It's in North Texas. Your chance to be in the limelight. Yellowstone is filming in Fort Worth, Texas very soon.
Starting point is 00:17:54 And they put out a rush call for extras. So the casting company announced they are looking for extras for a concert scene. featuring a country singer, songwriter, Laney Wilson. So get out there and be a star and make yourself known at the concert venue for Laney. You might get on screen. I'd be out there all day, sweating your butt off, and you can watch Yellowstone in the camera.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Oh, flashback. That's me! I do that all the time. Wide crowd shots in TV shows, I always pause it. That's me right there. My kids are, I've been doing that forever. My kids are like, stop it. No, that was me.
Starting point is 00:18:33 That was me right there. Yeah, I did that. It took, that was a two-day shoot doing that right there. Shut up, Dad. No, seriously. And so anytime you see a crowd, just pause it. Tell your family, yeah, that was me. They don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:45 I don't know. If you watch a movie and they're walking or running down a street of a busy city and the crowd behind them is walking and stuff, that's me. You see me right there? I back up, I rewind it. Look, you could, yeah, that's me. That's a fun little game I play. My family just loves me to death.
Starting point is 00:19:06 It's amazing. I have to watch shows by myself. Anyway, so if you're in San Antonio, Texas, speaking of Yellowstone, if you're in San Antonio, Texas, 1923, the sequel to Yellowstone with Harrison Ford, they are shutting down San Antonio for the next, the end of this month,
Starting point is 00:19:28 because they're filming in San Antonio. So if you want to see, Maybe you want to see some of the big stars Go down to San Antonio. They'll be filming 1923 in the streets of San Antonio. And you can be pissed if you live in San Antonio. Sorry about it.
Starting point is 00:19:44 The road's closed. They're filming. Go around. Speaking of filming, I see where Spider-Man 4. Spider-Man 4 with Tom Holland is in the works with Destin Daniel Creton. Creton? Creton?
Starting point is 00:20:00 C-R-E-T-T-R-E-T? TTO, I don't know how Daniel pronounced his last name. Sorry, it was directing. Sorry, Daniel, the director. Ah, nobody cares. Anyway, it's in the film. And then we have Happy Gilmore 2, his beginning production. I don't know, do we need it to?
Starting point is 00:20:15 I guess if you were a Happy Gilmore fan, you needed to. And Adam Sandler doesn't have enough money. And he said, you know what, I'll do it, whatever. I just do what I love instead of playing basketball or going, I'm walking down the streets of New York. Yeah, I'll do it. Fine, that's fine. In fact, you know what?
Starting point is 00:20:32 I don't even want to travel far from home. We're going to film it in New Jersey, okay? Because I don't want to... I won't do it in New York, but I'm not going to do it too far from home because I want to be able to, you know, come back home during the day, okay? All right, that's fine. So we have that going for us.
Starting point is 00:20:47 Then I saw this. This is amazing to me. So Call of Duty, often, I mean, it's regarded as, what, the benchmark first-person shooter game forever. it has collectively spent people playing Call of Duty have collectively spent more than 25 billion hours, 2.85 million years playing Call of Duty. Now that's longer than the course of human existence.
Starting point is 00:21:25 So, I mean, if you're hooked on calls, Call of Duty, you're not alone, that's for sure. And Activision is, you know, they've made, I don't know, they made so much money from this stupid game. But congratulations to those of you that have participated in the 25 billion hours playing Call of Duty and doing it for 2.8 million years. That's the time frame, obviously. and longer than human existence. That's congratulations to all of you playing that. I love all the trends that the influencers try to push on you.
Starting point is 00:22:09 And, you know, my daughter says, look at this, look it is. Most of it's stupid. But, you know, it makes me laugh. Put the smile on my face sometimes. Well, the latest drink trend, I could get behind, I think. It's a gator wine. So it's a concoction of light blue gatorade. mixed with any kind of cheap red wine.
Starting point is 00:22:30 And I guess there was a YouTuber, Andrea Ray, who started doing this as a binging with Babish, who reviewed the drink and a special tasting edition on his channel. So the recipe calls for equal parts of Glacier Freeze Gatorade and a bottle of red wine priced under $12. Yeah, I mean, you could just, $12 is too much, too much for that. So I can get behind that.
Starting point is 00:22:53 So if you want to, you know, want to get on a new trend and you think I'm hip, go ahead and start drinking Gator Wine. I will say when I first saw the Gator Wine thing, I thought for sure we were talking about Gatorland and actual Gator Wine. We're going to use alligators and crocodiles. Well, alligators, because it would be Gators, I get it.
Starting point is 00:23:14 But we were going to use some kind of gator wine from Gator World. My favorite place in the whole world. Oh, I've got to, I keep forgetting to bring it in. I got a gift from one of our listeners. has sent me a little Gatorland Bobblehead Gator where they went to Gator
Starting point is 00:23:31 Thank you so much. I love the stupid thing. I love it. It's awesome. I'll thank you. I'll show it either on Pat Unleashed or on Saturday morning live and I'll share the letter, but it's awesome. So you know who you are. I don't remember. I have the letter in the box that you send it in.
Starting point is 00:23:50 It's awesome. I love it. It's my little gator, my little gator from Gatorland with the Babbol head. Love it. Best place in the world. Anyway, so that's what I thought it was, and obviously it was not. It was Gator A did red wine, not
Starting point is 00:24:05 actual gator wine. So, yeah, that's what my head was at. Be sure to follow me on my social media at Jeff EJFR on X, Jeff Fisher Radio, on Facebook and Instagram. You can follow me on YouTube, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher.

Starting point is 00:24:46 It's the way it is. And that's the way it works. You pay. You pay to play. You pay to play in life. And you pay cameo. They give me a cut. and then you get a performance.
Starting point is 00:24:56 You're welcome. With Amex Platinum, $400 in annual credits for travel and dining means you not only satisfy your travel bug, but your taste buds too. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Who died today? Who died today? Well, we'll begin with Herbie Flowers.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Who Herbie Flowers dead at the age of 80? Now I know what you're saying. Who is Herbie Flowers? Well, the bass guitarist and collaborator of David Bowie and so many other musicians. I mean, he was instrumental. He'll be remembered for a string of timeless songs. He was part of the Golden Age of Rock. I guess people that knew him and loved him called him Uncle Herbie.
Starting point is 00:26:03 I did not. So I never called him Uncle Herbie. So I guess I wasn't a friend or a loved one. Anyway, there has been no cause of death listed for Herbie. So I know, don't look at me like that. I'm just saying there hasn't been a cause of death listed. I mean, he worked with McCartney and David Bowie and Elton John, and he worked with a tribe called Quest.
Starting point is 00:26:27 And, I mean, he's one of the guys that these bands all knew if you needed a bassist. Call Herbie. Call Uncle Herbie. He'll take care of you. So rest and peace. Herbie Flowers dead. at the age of 86. Then we have Ed Cranepool.
Starting point is 00:26:45 Ed Cranepool. I know dead at the age of 79. He was part of the Miracle Mets. Original New York Mets baseball player, he made Major League debut as a 17-year-old during his inaugural season in 1962. He spent 18 years in the major leagues and was all every time, every season was with the Mets.
Starting point is 00:27:10 I mean, every team wants people to play for them that long and have the respect and gratitude to play for the team. But if they don't like you, then they kick you to the curb. So you just live with that. I know, I know. But he didn't. He stayed with the Mets for 18 years. So he has passed away in Boko-Raton, Florida,
Starting point is 00:27:32 at the age of 79, suffering cardiac-aract. Arrest. Now, he was 79, so, you know, could it have been brought on by that? Sure. But they don't say that. It just said he suffered from cardiac arrest. Anyway, the Mets are incredibly heartbroken, and he was one of their guys, man. Everybody cherished time playing for him, and he would show up for some of the old timers days. And the whole organization is sending out their condolences and very sad. So Ed Cranepool, New York Mets icon, the longest tenured player in the history of the franchise, has passed away at the age of 79. All right, so we know the NASA, I mean, not NASA, SpaceX, SpaceX, Polaris Dawn mission launched yesterday. And the mission is going to take the four-person civilian crew 870 miles above her. farther than any human has traveled since NASA's Apollo moon missions and more than three times higher than the International Space Station. We know that Jared Isaacman, the billionaire entrepreneur,
Starting point is 00:28:47 is the one who's footing the bill for this, going up with him and he's on the ship. Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Scott Poteet and SpaceX engineers Sarah Gillison and a menion on the mission, they're going to attempt the first ever civilian spacewalk Thursday. So we still have tomorrow, sometime tomorrow. It doesn't give an exact time of when they're going to do that. So just follow SpaceX on their X account,
Starting point is 00:29:14 and you'll be watching videos of that. So the two crew members are going to spacewalk. But they're all going to be exposed because the way they have it set up, they're all going to be exposed to space. So hopefully it works out. I don't want to see. Hey, with Jerry. I don't want to see Jared.
Starting point is 00:29:30 I don't want to see Jared flying through the... Stay tethered. Stay tethered down, man. Tether yourself, man. You know what? That's good advice. That's good advice no matter where you're at. Tether yourself.
Starting point is 00:29:45 So anyway, the crew is going to spend the next five days testing Starlink laser-based communication systems, medical technologies, and new SpaceX design spacesuits. Yeah, because they're all going to be exposed to space once it opens up. So we'll see how it turns out. I'm looking forward to seeing the video shoots of the spacewalk. Then, speaking of NASA, I saw it got one thing that I did not know actually existed with NASA.
Starting point is 00:30:13 So they snuck this in on me, all right? They have a solar sail mission finally flying after deployment glitch. So the microwave oven-sized CubeSat unfurled its massive sail. It's going to test a novel way of traveling through space. It's like it's a giant solar sail. But they had problems with it all along. And I finally opened up. So the advanced composite solar sail system now fully deployed
Starting point is 00:30:47 after NASA succeeded in extending the mission's experimental booms last Thursday. So they announced that they're going to be testing new form of space travel, initiating different maneuvers to see how well the sail. flares in orbit. So the sail mission launched in April. I remember that. They had a sail mission and then it just kind of went away and I didn't see any more updates
Starting point is 00:31:10 on that. But they had a problem with when the mission's sail became stuck and on board power monitor detected higher than expected motor currents. Oh wait. It was more windy than what they had planned. Huh? So
Starting point is 00:31:25 they paused the unfurling process. Which is weird. Maybe that's why we didn't hear about it. Stop it, stop it, stop it, stop it, it's going to break. It's going to break. It's too windy. So now they were successful on their second attempt to deploy the solar sail, fully on furling it to stretch across the 860 square feet or about as large as a half a tennis court.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Okay. I mean, all right. So it's going to gain altitude and overcome atmospheric drag using the subtle force of sunlight on the sail. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. The solar sail orbits Earth at a process. approximately twice the altitude of the International Space Station. I mean, it may hit Polaris Dawn as we're speaking right now. Would that surprise you?
Starting point is 00:32:09 Would that surprise you? Well, it was a lot windier than we thought. And next thing you know, we're flying and we're running into Polaris Dawn. We don't know what to do. I said something to hope for, man. I kind of want that. Anyway, I don't, though. I don't really.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I don't want the solar sail flying into Polaris Dawn, okay? But that's about where it's at. So that's awesome. So we'll be getting more news about Polaris Dawn and the solar sail as this week continues. Then I find out that NASA has greenlighted a launch of mission to search for signs of life on Jupiter's moon Europa. That's quite a ways away. I mean, it's not like hopping in, you're not zipping in and zipping out to Europa. It's not like going to Wisconsin.
Starting point is 00:32:57 You zip in, you zip out. that's not happening. So it's the largest spacecraft ever built for planetary missions. The Europa Clipper could launch as early as October 10th. Yeah, it could launch as early as October 10th. Probably not going to happen, though. We have to, let's figure out what we're doing with our astronauts up there in space, with our Boeing astronauts, our Starliner astronauts.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Let's figure that out first. But after resolving a threat to the spacecraft circuitry, it's already screwed up. The U.S. agency said, yeah, we're weeks away. It's fine. We figured it out what was wrong with it. Okay. So we're not just dreaming about Jupiter's moon Europa anymore.
Starting point is 00:33:45 We're going to figure out the vast ocean that probably lies beneath its icy service. Scientists are now weeks away from sending a spacecraft there. So NASA confirmed that Europa Clipper launch is on schedule. significantly delayed owing to possibly faulty transistors installed on the $5 billion spacecraft. So we're confident that our beautiful spacecraft and capable team are ready for launch. Uh-huh. So we'll see. With a mass of more than 3.2 tons, a height of roughly 5 meters,
Starting point is 00:34:19 and a width of more than 30 meters. With its solar panels fully unfurled, Europa Clipper is the largest spacecraft that NASA has ever built for a planet. planetary mission. And now we're ready to go and launch it and head to Jupiter's Europa. How long does it take it to get to Europa is my question. So it says here, based on its four-year baseline mission orbiting Jupiter, the spacecraft will be in the worst of Jupiter's radiation one out of every 21 days. The rest of the time, the orbiter's transistors can partially self-heal from radiation damage when gently heated.
Starting point is 00:35:03 So Europa Clipper does dip into the radiation environment. Once it comes out, it comes out long enough for those transistors, the opportunity to heal and partially recover between the flybys. Okay. So it's a four-year baseline. So it's got to take more than five years to get there, right? No matter how, at our speed, I feel like it would be more than that. okay
Starting point is 00:35:29 it's got to be at least more than five years before it even gets there so five years to get there then you're only going to get information once every 21 days once it starts orbiting if it starts orbiting and if the chips survive the radiation
Starting point is 00:35:47 after it passes through it gives it time to heal like they said so I mean We've got that to look forward to That's going to happen right around the corner You know what?
Starting point is 00:36:02 2030 is going to be here Before you know it And Europa Clipper is going to be right there for us It's hockey season And you can get anything you need Delivered with Uber Eats Well, almost almost anything So no, you can't get a nice rank on Uber Eats

All right, a couple of health headlines that you need to be aware of. Researchers have discovered multiple species of fungi, bacteria, and viruses
Starting point is 00:37:05 floating in the air at altitudes close to 10,000 feet. Now this may represent a new pathway for the regional spread of pathogens. You think, really? They've probably already been there the whole time. Follow-up study on the first partial face transplant to include an eye shows no signs of rejection by the patient. Vision has not been restored to the donor eye, but has achieved blood flow.
Starting point is 00:37:34 So... the body hasn't rejected the eye he still can't see out of it but it does have blood flow that's pretty incredible even if we even if he ends up not being able to see out of the eye we at least are at a point where we can
Starting point is 00:37:52 put in the eye and it will accept blood flow so once it does that then we can figure out a way for it to you know start seeing again that's that's pretty awesome the test that assesses the eye's ability to react to light detected a small response
Starting point is 00:38:10 is that a false positive although this result does not mean sight will return the medical team shirt to point out James doesn't have sensation in the eyes surface and the eyes lid remains closed he will be on immunosuppression drugs for the rest of his life
Starting point is 00:38:29 well yeah he's doing the facial implant so they're hoping that this will be a solution to blindness. Well, okay, that may be about where are we going to get the eyes? Are we just pulling them out of dead people? Are we just walking up and saying, hey, want to buy my eye?
Starting point is 00:38:50 I'll sell you my eye. I'm a little low on cash right now. I mean, people are selling body parts. You might as well sell your eye too. I'm a little low on body. That's awesome. I mean, it's a terrible thing because when you talk about donating your donating your body parts after you're dead.
Starting point is 00:39:09 If you don't have that figured out yet and then you get in a terrible accident and it's bad and you, they start at the doctors, they start asking you or asking the people who are speaking for you, hey, his liver is still good, his lungs are still good, his eyes are still good,
Starting point is 00:39:26 and now his eyes are still good. We're going to cut them out, right? We're going to take them all. We're going to take them all, everything. That's hard for people to put their head around sometimes. I'll never forget my first wife Oh shoot She was working at the name of that hospital
Starting point is 00:39:41 Anyway There was a really bad accident like this And a little girl was in a very bad accident And a very bad place And she was going to die And the parents were there And they were distraught And it was horrible
Starting point is 00:39:51 And they were talking amongst themselves Saying you know Yes we want Yes And we want to donate her organs Yes we want to help other people And then they started talking to her And going down the list
Starting point is 00:40:02 And they got to her eyes even back then this was you know 100 years ago and even back then they couldn't do it because it was their daughter's eyes and that's all they could think of was
Starting point is 00:40:16 you know their daughter's eyes and how beautiful they were to them and we can't do it we can't donate anything I'm sorry so it's a difficult thing that's something that you need to work out I mean I get it you know for me I want to be donated
Starting point is 00:40:30 to the meat farm to the just you know let me blow down out in the woods and see how long it takes bugs to show up. Whatever, I don't care. There's a few of those farms around the body farms, and it just sent me there. I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Now, my wife may have, you know, other plans. I don't know. But she can come and visit at the body farm. Yep, that's him. Underneath that concrete brick there, he's been there for a month and a half. See how his body is? Yeah, we just want to know how that happens.
Starting point is 00:41:00 All right, just stop. Okay. Okay, have you seen the airbus, the beluga airbus? It is awesome. I don't know why I haven't seen it before. It certainly hasn't flown into DFW that I'm aware of. You know, I tell you, I will say this, speaking of flying into DFW,
Starting point is 00:41:19 just as I take another ADD side moment. You know, when you're driving, like the highway that I take to and from Mercury Studios here every day in DFW passes by DFW International Airport. And most of the time, depending on, the winds, the planes land over, they come over the highway that I drive on every day. And so I see them.
Starting point is 00:41:43 And some mornings you can see them all rowed up, ready to come in, the lights on, some afternoons you can see them all rode up. Sometimes you don't see them. Sometimes you see one coming in over there. They've got about three to five different landing strips that they come into.
Starting point is 00:41:57 And that's just fascinating to see them fly in and land at DFW. When you don't think about it, though, like the other day I'm driving and I'm not thinking about it, I'm thinking about something completely different. I'm really just kind of dead driving. So, I mean, if something bad happens, it's on me. Because I'm not, I'm just driving. I'm not thinking about anything.
Starting point is 00:42:12 I'm going, you know, 85 miles an hour, 90 miles an hour. And I'm just thinking about other things rather than driving. So if something happens, it's your fault. But that's what will happen, though, because I'll be driving along and I'm thinking and an airplane will fly over land and that shadow of the plane comes across your car. and you get that and that's what it sounds like in my head. There isn't a sound
Starting point is 00:42:38 okay, it's just in my head I hear because it's the shadow going over my car and it shocks me. It's like, what the hell? Oh yeah, it was the plane. I forget that I'm going by the airport. That's a little side note. Anyway, this plane, I'll drive better, I'll try. This plane, the Beluga Airbus, it looks like the whale. It is
Starting point is 00:42:59 hilarious. It's a I guess they built it to haul different airplane parts around. It's a British Airways plane and it's been carrying parts. It's awesome. It's a really cool. The Baluga Airbus,
Starting point is 00:43:17 really, really funny looking. And I want to see it, I want to see it flying in the air more. I just want to see the air. Beluga. I don't care what it's delivering. I just want it to be in my neighborhood. Because I live that far from another airport.
Starting point is 00:43:41 My house lives over there by another airport. That's a private airfield. And it's awesome. But flights, I mean, flights come in and out of there all the time. I'm in there, air path. Ugh, it's just agonizing. You know, every morning I get in my car at 4 a.m. There goes one of the Amazon planes flying out of every morning.
Starting point is 00:44:01 He and Aaron in the same time frame, man. He's landed and I'm taking off. And that's just the way it is. All right, let's get out of here. Call it a day. Just remember that it's 9-11 and be sure to say a prayer for the families
Starting point is 00:44:14 and the people who are still suffering from that horrible day. I was watching a show the other day that showed a family that didn't know what happened to their son on 9-11. And then they finally, someone had a picture
Starting point is 00:44:28 of a fireman in the tunnel going toward Manhattan. And it was him. It was their son. And then they found a piece of something that was his in the debris at the World Trade Center. I mean, and that's all they have.
Starting point is 00:44:44 I mean, that's all they have to remember. So sad. And it just brings back all those memories. So I know. I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for bringing you down. I'll leave you with this.
Starting point is 00:44:55 This is more of a little, I don't know, thought. not really uplifting. It's more of a thought for the day. Just something to think about. Something to think about. Because you could be this person. I know I am.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Maybe you are as well. Some of my friends exercise every day. Meanwhile, I'm watching a show I don't like because the remote fell on the floor. I mean, that's me. I didn't write that, but I have lived it. Stream and subscribe to more Blaze Media content at theblaze.com slash podcasts. Unwrap holiday magic at Holt Renfrew with gifts that say I know you.
