Blaze Radio Network And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. So after pleading not guilty, we are now pleading guilty. The Missouri woman, Lisa finally, F-I-N-D-L-E-Y, has pleaded guilty to one count of male fraud in U.S. District Court in Memphis, Tennessee. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss one count of aggravated identity. theft that was previously filed against her.
Starting point is 00:01:03 What did she do? Well, she is the evil human being that tried to fraudulently take Elvis Presley's Graceland estate. No, that is not going to happen, and it did not happen. So the judge said, you understand what you're pleading guilty to?
Starting point is 00:01:23 Finley said, yes. She did not make a statement after that. Prosecutors are recommending. Finley receive a 57-month federal prison sentence. That's not long enough. Trying to take Graceland like that. I mean, she admitted that the government's factual basis in the case, true and accurate. And that the case had gone to trial, the evidence would establish her guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
Starting point is 00:01:53 Yeah, hello. You tried to take Graceland with your little fraudulent scheme. of, oh yeah, I've got signatures of Lisa Marie Presley and I've got the It was notarized by Kimberly Philbrick from Florida and they haven't paid any
Starting point is 00:02:11 They didn't pay me back the $3.8 million So I'm going to auction off Graceland. No. The, the, uh, what's your face from Florida? Philbrick said, uh, no. I've never met this woman.
Starting point is 00:02:26 I've never, I've never done anything. at all that uh to notarize a lisa marie presley signature and so um i have no idea yeah no idea how my name got involved in the scheme because this lisa finley picked you out of uh picked you out of a hopper and said yep she's good i'm just using her name and uh they tried to it was a you know to be fair i'm just going to back up here a little bit to be fair. It was a pretty good scheme. Except that it was Graceland. Can't mess with Graceland. That's
Starting point is 00:03:07 an iconic place in the United States of America, let alone the world. So you don't be, they'll be messing with Graceland or the king. Okay? What happens to you? You get at least 57 months in federal prison. And, oh, I better be more. Better be more. Because we can't let this kind of thing happen. again ever. Welcome. Welcome to Towing the Fat. So we all have our problems with AI, or at least many people do, and more than a thousand British musicians have just released a new album to protest
Starting point is 00:03:51 the changes to UK law that may allow AI models to be trained or copyrighted, be trained on copyrighted material. So the UK law may allow the A. A. models to be using the musicians' music to train the AI. And the musicians are not happy about it at all. And so they created a new album called Is This What We Want?
Starting point is 00:04:20 And it features a stellar list of a thousand musicians and the sound of silence. So contributions from Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Kat Stevens. And they, I know that the album was released yesterday to protest these changes that the Great Britons, the Brits, the UKers are doing artificial intelligence. And the artist fear they're going to erode their creative control. Yeah. So the UK government is consulting on whether to let tech firms use copyrighted material to help the train the AI models.
Starting point is 00:04:59 and are they going to do it? Probably with limitations, of course. Well, we're going to have an oversight on that. Uh-huh. Okay. So critics of the idea fear that will make it harder for artists to retain control of their work and will undermine the creative industries. I don't know that Elton John and Paul McCartney actually were part of this creation on the album,
Starting point is 00:05:24 but they definitely are against, they've been outspoken against the plan. on AI in the UK. Now, the protest album, almost silence, said the 12 tracks, there's 12 tracks, all right? And I'm going to play a couple of tracks for you, just to let you know how good they are. There's 12 tracks on this album to symbolize what we expect will happen
Starting point is 00:05:54 if the government proposals go through. so let's play let's play cut one wow powerful powerful I mean holy cow I don't want to play cut two
Starting point is 00:06:10 let's go to there's 12 cuts let's go to cut four all right let's go to cut four oh my gosh I mean that really actually sounds good incredible we got time for
Starting point is 00:06:25 yeah we got down let's go to cut 10 no you know just take it to the end play cut 12 cut 12 the new album is this what we want
Starting point is 00:06:33 and this is the sound of silence cut 12 man is that that that's beautiful so the 12 tracks consist of recordings in which you just heard a few of them of
Starting point is 00:06:53 empty studios and performance bases so man that's that's good and to prove how pissed they are they went ahead and they went ahead and recorded nothing
Starting point is 00:07:09 I'm sorry. Silence. You know, we mentioned that Party City was closing down. They filed for bankruptcy like for a second time in the last couple of years. And they couldn't pull out of this second one. And so, I mean, they still were saddled with a bunch of debt. So they were going to shut it down. And they said we're closing all our stores.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Well, there's good news on the Party City story. Okay. Dollar Tree and five below have scooped up many of them. them. Okay. So I don't know if you, you know, maybe if you're an employee at Party City, you can still hang out. I still have a job, which is good. And some of the franchises have opted to stay open and be independent party cities. So then, I mean, those employees there still have a gig and are still hanging on by a threat. And maybe those 29 locations will be able to pool their resources together to buy merchandise for the stores,
Starting point is 00:08:13 which would make the prices just a little bit cheaper. Just throwing it out there for you guys. I'm sure you're way ahead of me on that, but I'm just throwing it out there for you. That's what I do here. During the fat consultation, I'm here for you. You know, we have John Fabrics, though, is closing,
Starting point is 00:08:30 and I know you dry your eyes. You won't be able to get the yarn you need. I know. But they're expected. 15,000 closures are expected. Holy cow. Very sad. Joanne Fabrics was,
Starting point is 00:08:45 and they were monsters. And so it's going to be going to be tough to get my yarn when I'm ready to crochet. Oh, look at me like that. I know. I'm crocheting. I can crochet.
Starting point is 00:08:57 I learned like my wife and my daughter crochet and knit and people in my family crochet and knit. And then I had learned, I was taught how to crochet 100 years ago. But I, I never learned how to turn it around. So like I could make a mile long,
Starting point is 00:09:15 just one row. Could be multicolored. You know, just one row, crocheted together, but I don't know how to hook it and turn it around to make another row. So the blanket is really thin and really long, but it's been a long time since I've actually crocheted something. But it's going to be, that's interesting,
Starting point is 00:09:38 because that's an interesting market is fabrics. And so my father-in-law owned his own fabric store for forever in Philadelphia. And he was like, I'd be buying up that stuff left and right. I need that.
Starting point is 00:09:55 I'll put that stuff in my store. So it's really, it's interesting that Joanne Fabrics couldn't stay alive. But good news for you, party city people. Many of you still have a gig. And those that don't, sorry about it.
Starting point is 00:10:11 And I want you to have a gig bad. Maybe you go over to some of the independent locations and say, that guy sucks. You need me to work here. Maybe you do that. You're going to keep him. That person is terrible. I can run this joint.
Starting point is 00:10:25 And, you know, get yourself a gig at one of the independent party cities. Or you tell Dollar Tree in five below, yep, I can sell your stuff too. And I'll be here tomorrow morning at 9 when the store opens up. and you save your job that way. But good luck to all. And it's a sad, sad day. Sad day, week for Party City. We may have to throw some kind of air horn salute or something to Party City.
Starting point is 00:10:56 No, I don't want to hear the damn airhorn. Please, no, don't. Let's have a party, baby. With AmX Platinum, $400 in annual credits for traveling. dining means you not only satisfy your travel bug, but your taste buds too. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. So you remember Billy McFarlane? He went to prison back in 2018 for fraud related to the Fry Festival. And I mean, he had, it was a fraudulent event. And he made a bunch of money. And he has to pay a bunch of money back, right?
Starting point is 00:11:55 And so he's out of prison, and he was thinking to yourself, how do I make some money to pay the people back that I owe from Fry Festival 1? I know, I'll do another Fry Festival. Let's do Fry Festival 2. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:12:15 So it's supposed to take place in Quintanaru, Mexico. Beautiful this time of year. Arriva, Arriba! You were correct. And also, you'll be probably dining on. Avocados from Mexico. You just don't know.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Now, he claims that it's going to take place from May 30th to June 2nd. The other details are coming later. Oh, okay. So there's no lineup yet. And he promised that, I mean, he promised that there's going to be electronic hip-hop, pop, and rock artists. Uh-huh. Tickets start at $1,400. go as high as $1.1 million.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Attendees can expect water adventures, extreme sports, leisure and wellness, cultural and creative activities. That's what the website says. So, okay. I guess he still owes money to the investors from the first Fryfest. And that was billed as the luxury music festival.
Starting point is 00:13:20 But he claims, that at least 500,000 of the proceeds from Frye 2 will go to his debt. You think he's going to get enough people to sign up to go to this Fry 2 after the Fry 1 debacle? I don't know. Good luck. Good luck. God bless. Maybe you can pull it off. Who knows? But I certainly, like I can understand wanting to go to Frye 1 because it was a big deal. And what was being offered was pretty good. Almost too good to be real. Oh, wait, it was too good to be real because it didn't happen.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Do you believe him that he can make it happen in Quinteru, Mexico for a second time around? That answer is false. I know. because I don't think people will. But hey, good luck. You know, I did this story on Pat Graham Least this morning during my Fat Five segment. Oh, no, it was Wednesday,
Starting point is 00:14:28 so it was the Chewing the Fat Fat Reon Leashed, which takes place every Wednesday, on Pat Grey Unleashed on Blaze Television and Radio, and wherever all the peoples are. Part of the show, Pat Grey Unleashed. I didn't realize that Berkestatstats, thought so much of themselves, but apparently they do. So they believe the Birkenstock people in Germany that they've been making shoes since 1774.
Starting point is 00:14:57 They believe that their sandals are copyright protected works of art. Oh. The sandals are a copyright protected work of art. Okay. If you say so, well, not really. Because they filed a lawsuit against three competitors who saw. old sandals that were very similar to the Birkenstocks, and they were not happy about
Starting point is 00:15:23 the people that are taking sales away from Birkenstock. People buy them offshoots that look similar to Burkestock, but they aren't. So they claimed that it was a work of art, and because under German law, works of art enjoy stronger and longer-lasting intellectual property protection than consumer products. Okay. So the company asked for an injunction to stop
Starting point is 00:15:46 its competitors from making these copycat sandals and order them to recall and destroy those already on the market. Now, the defendant companies were not identified in the court statement. I think there was two or three different companies that ended up being in this lawsuit. So a regional court in Germany initially said, yeah, you know what? Those burghestock's, yeah, they're applied art. And we're granting orders. Then it went to a... higher regional court. And that court said, oh, no.
Starting point is 00:16:22 They are not works of art. They are just sandals. And then they were unable to establish any artistic achievement in the wide strapped big buckled sandals. So then on to Germany's federal court we go. And the federal court took a look at the case and said, nope. The second court is right.
Starting point is 00:16:46 You were dismissing the case. These things are not works of art. They are just sandals. They said for the copyright protection of a work of applied art, as for all other types of work, the level of design must not be too low. For copyright protection, the level of design must be achieved that reveals individuality.
Starting point is 00:17:09 So all that being said, they're just sandals. They're not works of art. Sad day for Birkenstom. Sad days for Birkenstocks and I mean I think we all know who it's a I mean you can still consider them a work of art I don't care you know how you identify you know if you identify as a well you know a person of the LGBTQIA plus persuasion you dare still art on you don't let anybody tell you that you're Burk andstocks. are not art because they are. But in real life, well, they're not. All right, let's go to the break room.
Starting point is 00:17:53 I need something cool to drink. Desperately. Be sure to follow me on my social media at Jeffrey Jafr on X, Jeff Fisher Radio, on Instagram and Facebook. You can follow me on my YouTube page, Chewing the Fat with Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com, right? I think YouTube is Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher.
Starting point is 00:18:18 That's what it is. I've got to remember the damn YouTube page. and you can email Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com. That's where that one comes in. It's the email, Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com. The YouTube page is Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher. Duh. Anyway, be sure to follow me on those.
Starting point is 00:18:37 And I also coming back on May 3rd, no, May 5th, will be talking walking dead because the new season of Dead City was just announced that it's going to prevent, mere Sunday, May 4th. So I'm looking forward to Dead City. Season one was really, really good.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And I thought it would, it's taken forever for them to get this second season done. I saw footage of them filming months ago. And we've had a second season of Daryl already played out. But, you know, the dead world. But
Starting point is 00:19:16 Dead City will be out on May 4th. May 5th, you get talking, Walking Dead again with myself, Jason Butchrell, and my son Maximus, and we'll give you a rundown of all things dead on that particular day.
Starting point is 00:19:33 So that's good news to get that back. You see, we talked about how Michael Creton's wife, that's what I, that's on a caller, okay, I'm calling her that, Creighton, okay? Mike, it's Creighton, Jeff, that's how it says he's the star. Yeah, he's dead, I know.
Starting point is 00:19:50 I know, but his wife, the estate of Michael Cretan, has got to go ahead to continue the lawsuit against the Max show The Pit. Now, I don't know if you've been watching it. I've been enjoying it. It's a really good show. They break down, it's in a Pittsburgh ER, and they do it hourly. It's with no while. It's very good.
Starting point is 00:20:17 It has done very well. and so Cretan's widow Sherry has sued Warner Brothers alleging that the show bears unmistakable similarities to ER. Yeah, it's in the ER. That's what it does. That's what the show is about. So apparently the studio had cut her out of the deal in violation of the contract.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Oh, okay. The defendants who also include producer John Wells and Noel Wiley filed a motion to throw out the lawsuit. Yeah. Which offers, you know, they have the slap statute in California that throws out frivolous lawsuits and intend, you know, just be done with it. And the judge said, you know, the lawsuit has enough merit to proceed. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:21:16 So on we go. The court finds that evidence submitted by plaintiffs meet the minimal merit standard to demonstrate at least prima facie case that the pit is derived from ER. All right. So, you know, Sherry Creighton said the decision was, yes, it's important win for the entire creative community. Is it, is it, though? Because apparently, this is her contention, is that she, was thrilled that the original team behind ER wanted to do a
Starting point is 00:21:52 reboot and was shocked when Warner Brothers abruptly broke off negotiations and announced the pit, which is a carbon copy of the ER reboot that was pitched to her. So the Kreet Estate looks forward
Starting point is 00:22:08 to presenting its case to the jury. Yeah, they're going to have to find out if that's true then okay, fine. But they claim that even, they claim that it was not going to be in Chicago, the reboot was still going to be in Chicago, which is where ER originated from. And it wasn't going to be what the pit is. So the pit is, obviously, in Pittsburgh. And it shows, you know, they say they, the challenges facing emergency
Starting point is 00:22:42 and medical providers in the post-COVID world. And it does do that. And it also, it also, you know, also does it minute by minute. I mean, each episode is an hour of the show, or at least so far. Maybe we'll get an episode that's two hours or something, but they give you the time, you know, 8 a.m.
Starting point is 00:23:03 9 a.m. It's very fascinating. I like it. I like it a lot. But it's, you know, we'll see if it'll see if this comes through. I'm sure, you know, the Cretan estate, just wants their money.
Starting point is 00:23:20 And Noah and John Wells is like, no? And we're not giving anybody. So if they have proof, though, that the reboot of ER was supposed to be like the pit with the hour by hour time and even if they called it ER, but it was going to be, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:39 a breakdown of that ER post-COVID stuff, then, you know, she's probably got a pretty strong case. So we'll see. But you can't have every, every ER. I'm sorry. Every show about an emergency room belongs to you? No. So I was right.
Starting point is 00:23:58 They will create a documentary behind the Ozzy Osbourne last concert with Black Sabbath in Europe. They've already been filming this documentary. And I guess it's going to be titled No Escape from Now. So they've been filming for the last couple of years. years and it starts out with him creating his album patient number nine and then they're going to film the final performance with his Black Sabbath bandmates in the UK. So it's interesting to me how they talk about how, well, we're going to do this documentary
Starting point is 00:24:40 and of course we're going to be talking about Ozzy. We'll discuss his health issues. Yeah, that's his life. Hello? No, we could do this documentary and we can talk about my music, but we can't talk about my health. Shut up. Of course it's going to be with,
Starting point is 00:25:01 it's unbelievable how you would think that you wouldn't talk about his health and the spine injury and the Parkinson's diagnosis. I mean, his retirement from touring, the struggling with that. I mean, Ozzy's been in front of the camera now, for a long time, a long time.
Starting point is 00:25:21 His life, his guts are on the table, man. I mean, I talk about talking to you every day and my guts are on the table. You can pick through them any day you want. But his guts truly are on the table, man. Don't look at me like that. I'm not talking about that. You know the analogy I'm trying to make, okay?
Starting point is 00:25:42 Don't stop. And he's already been paid, I'm guessing, because they already say, well, we don't have a specific release date yet, but we know that it will air sometime in 2025, so obviously after the concert in July. And it's going to air on Paramount Plus. So he's already got the money.
Starting point is 00:26:05 Already been paid from Paramount Plus for this. And I'm sure then he'll get the rights to sell, you know, the DVDs or the streaming dock that you'll be able to get. So it'll be, it'll be awesome. I mean, he's just going to make another fortune and good for him. Bless his heart.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Bless, no really. Bless his heart. It's right there on the table. Oh, and speaking of concerts, Wu Tang Clan. The Wu Tang Clan have announced what they described as the start of their final tour
Starting point is 00:26:40 titled Wu Tang Forever The Final Chamber. Wow. Okay. So it's going to be produced by A.E.G. And the 27-date tour will kick off in June in Baltimore at the CFG Bank Arena. They're going to visit L.A., Atlanta, Houston. I mean, they're going to go around the country to all the major event centers. And the Tour Support Act will be the hip-hop duo, Rum the Jewels, Killer Mike and LP.
Starting point is 00:27:14 That's exciting times when you get Woutang Clan. and rub the jewels. I mean, you can't. You can't stop that kind of show. Now, according to insiders on the Wu-Tang clan, the tour may visit multiple territories and could continue for at least a couple of years. So, okay, I mean, they just had a residency invents.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Vegas. I've forgotten that they were part of that. So, I mean, now they've done with their residency in Vegas. And they figure, you know what? Let's go ahead and do a final tour. And we could just tour the world and make a bunch of money. Okay. So look for those tickets if you want to see Wu Tan Clan, the final chapter. It's hockey season, and you can get anything you need delivered with Uber Eats. Well, almost, almost anything. So no, you can't get a nice rink on Uber Eats. But iced tea, ice cream, or just plain old ice? Yes, we deliver those. Goaltenders, no, but chicken tenders, yes. Because those are groceries, and we deliver those too.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Along with your favorite restaurant food, alcohol, and other everyday essentials. Order Uber Eats now. For alcohol, you must be legal drinking age. Please enjoy responsibly. Product availability varies by region. See app for details. Well, who died today? Who died today?
Starting point is 00:29:05 Let's begin with Robert Orsi. Robert Orsi, O-R-C-I. You know him, you love him. He was a been a writer behind the late 2000 reboots of Star Trek and Transformers, creator of fringe. You know, who doesn't love that show? He died at his home in Los Angeles from kidney disease at the age of 51. Apparently, Roberto,
Starting point is 00:29:32 and I called him Robert, but it's Roberto Orsi. Had a serious drinking problem. And so, oh yeah, it's typical for a writer. Am I right? So his partner, Alex Kurtzman, co-wrote projects, including Transformers, 2009 Star Trek. He did producing work on the Now You
Starting point is 00:29:59 See Me franchise Enders Game, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, credits on Mission Impossible 3. He developed a reboot of Hawaii 5-0, which ran over a couple hundred episodes. Sleepy Hollow, which I loved Sleepy Hollow, Friend, Sleepy Hollow.
Starting point is 00:30:16 During that show, it's funny because the guy comes back as one of the from 1700s, and he sees a receipt that shows the tax on it. And we are being taxed so much, man. He gets so pissed all over again, over being taxed so much.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Everybody got time for that? There's no doubt about that. It was really funny. Anyway, apparently he had a real drinking problem and had to struggle for quite some time with his alcoholism. And so it finally caught the best of him at the age of 51. Rest in peace, Roberto Orsi dead at the age of 51. Then, very sad, as if Roberto wasn't sad enough.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Chris Jasper, Chris Jasper, rock and roll, Hall of Fame member from the Isley brothers, dead at the age of 73. Wow, I mean, a Juilliard trained hitmaker, he was diagnosed with cancer in December. I wonder if he had anything to do with that, that are just, you know, they fired up the cancer. Nah, they would have said something about it. It was just cancer. Never mind. So he will be deeply missed, of course,
Starting point is 00:31:38 and his legacy will live on as an inspiration for generations. He was award-winning Isley Brothers, songwriter, producer, and a keyboardist. Wow, he's only 73. He was really young. The Isley brothers were been around for a long, freaking time, man. Holy cow.
Starting point is 00:31:54 He was born in 1951, so he had been performing since he was a kid, man. If he's, if he's 73 now, and he's had this such, I mean, huge fame with the Ozzie brothers, two of the world with that group, man. Wow. Right. Just, anyway, fight the power. That's what I'm saying with the Aussie brothers.
Starting point is 00:32:15 Fight the power. So, I mean, you look at, they turn a dozens of albums, man. They were, they were monsters. They were monsters. He's been induction of the Rocker Roll Hall of Fame along with the rest of the Ozzy brothers. uh the grammy's out of the group with the lifetime achievement award a song writer's hall of fame members yeah i mean survived by the wife who was a new york attorney okay and three sons so life was a pretty good for uh my man and uh he was a hard worker and was very sad to see him go
Starting point is 00:32:49 chris jasper dead at the age of 73 then we have uh larry dolan larry dolan the owner of the Cleveland Indians. This article calls them the Guardians, and I refuse to do that. Dead at the age of 94. They're the Guardians, I know. I got it. A true fan at heart.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Larry Dolan has passed away at the age of 94. He's a Cleveland native. His family's, they've owned the baseball team for him. I don't know. 20, 30 years, long time. Long time. And so, you know, everybody from Major League Baseball is, you know, sending their condolences.
Starting point is 00:33:38 Does that mean that we're going to go back to the Cleveland Indians? Since we're rid of the Dolan who helped move it to the Guardians, does that mean that? No, Jeff, it doesn't. Okay, you racist, son of... Okay, that's fine. So I guess rest in peace to Larry Dolan. Cleveland
Starting point is 00:33:56 great and a fan at heart dead at the age of 94. Okay, so now we've got to talk about an unknown illness. An unknown illness. And when you think of unknown illnesses, what do you think of?
Starting point is 00:34:14 You'd be right to Congo. Yes, northwestern Congo in the other continent of Africa. So apparently, the unknown illness first discovered in three children who ate a bat has rapidly killed more than 50 people in northwestern
Starting point is 00:34:35 Congo over the past five weeks. The interval between the onset of symptoms, which include fever, vomiting, and internal bleeding. Right. And death has been 48 hours in most cases. That's fast. Holy cow. I mean, one day you're... And the next year, you're dead. And that's what really is worrying. Yeah, no kidding. These hemorrhagic fever symptoms are commonly linked to known deadly viruses like Ebola, Dengue, Marburg, yellow fever.
Starting point is 00:35:12 But researchers have ruled out these based on tests of more than a dozen samples collected so far. So we don't know what it is. It could be something altogether new. It might be, you know, Dengah 2, Ebola 3 we were working on Ebola 2 or D or whatever the hell it was that's still going spreading in the DRC so as of January 21st this latest disease outbreak in the DRC duh is 419 cases 53 deaths that's not I don't think that's including Ebola I think this is just the the new yeah we don't know what it is some kind of amorrhagic fever. I don't know what it is. So I don't have to tell you.
Starting point is 00:35:59 Yeah, we're going to test some more samples. Got to figure it out. I don't know. Maybe we'll try to tell the kids, hey, don't need a bat. What are you going to do, though? Kids are out playing and how often when you were a kid, you were out playing and you thought, you know, there's a bat. I'm going to go ahead and eat a bat.
Starting point is 00:36:24 Yeah, and I don't think the Ozzy Osbourne thing, I don't think that ever happened, did it? I think that's a wise tale. Okay, if you tell me that Ozzy ate a bat, okay, fine. I don't think he did, though. I don't think he did. I think that was a make-believe.
Starting point is 00:36:43 But, you know, whatever, that's fine. If he did, he did it. But don't eat it. He probably bit the head off and spit it out because he's Ozzy, although he may have eaten it. If he bit the head off, he ate the head. A good rule of thumb. You see a bat.

Althena IM2 mission will be launched on the SpaceX Falcon 9
Starting point is 00:38:08 block five. Now they're going to go back to the moon. I think these intuitive machines, this is the same company that went up there the last time and they landed on the moon and then it tipped over. And then we had the only was where the camera was. So hopefully they've, I don't know if it's the same company.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Now let's put another camera on it though. Okay, just so we can see, watch what the hell's going on. So they're carrying this off. I'm going to launch later today. the launch intuitive machines lunar lander Athena will spend approximately one week in transit to the moon before landing on the lunar surface. It'll be there on the surface no earlier than Thursday, March 6th. The lander will carry NASA science investigations of technology demonstrations to further our
Starting point is 00:38:56 understanding of the moon's environment to help prepare for future human missions to the lunar surface. Yeah, because we want to use this as a launching ground to go to Mars. I mean, that's Among the items on the intuitive machines lander The IM2 mission will be one of the first On-site demonstrations of resource uses on the moon They're going to drill and mass spectrometer
Starting point is 00:39:18 We'll measure potential presence of volatiles or gases From lunar soil Lunar Plateau, Moon South Pole, in addition Okay, here's what we need to remember to as well We need to remind everyone that the moon is ours belongs to the United States of America. Yes, you can send up your little thing. I know India just sent up a thing.
Starting point is 00:39:40 China just sent up a thing. And I am okay with it. That's fine. You can send up your little things. But the moon belongs to us. Okay? We put our flag already. It's ours.
Starting point is 00:39:53 And so we're not worried about when you start thinking about well, we're just going to start building over here. Now you're going to meet with our people first before you start building. I don't start building anything until you meet with our people, all right? Because we got our own Monet toys, all right? And so we don't want anything to hear from you until we decide.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Okay? So we want. So we'll see what happens with the IM2 delivery. We're doing all of this. I know that it was already, you know, they're making it a big deal about the astronauts at the ISS. And Trump's saying we got to get them back and it was all back. And Milan saying, you've got it, sir. It was already in the plans.
Starting point is 00:40:34 It was already in the works to do it. They were just waiting for the transition team to show up, which was delayed a couple times. And so sunny and whatever his stupid name is, was it been up there longer than expected. A lot longer than expected. You're going up for a week. You zip in, you zip out.
Starting point is 00:40:53 Eight months later, you're still hanging out there. That's an issue. But they already, the rocket is there. The spaceship is there to bring them back to the Earth. they just have to wait until the timing is right and when the replacements are there, I believe is what the detail is because they sent back the Boeing rocket
Starting point is 00:41:16 that they were afraid would not make it, and it did, but they, you know, would it have made it with humans in it? Who knows? But it made it without humans. And so I'm sure Sonny and Butch, that's his name. Sunny and Butch were at the ISS watching that Boeing land, without any hits going, shoot, we could have been back on Earth already.
Starting point is 00:41:40 But nope, we're stuck here at the old ISS. So anyway, we'll have some new launches coming. I mean, SpaceX is launching those rockets all the time now. And so this is a specific launch, though, that will get us to the moon and have us running around and taking care of things on the moon and just reminding people, the world. The moon belongs to the United States of America. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:04 that's just the way it is. Sorry about it. All right, let's get out of here. I'll leave you with the joke of the day, sent to Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com from Brian. Brian sent today's joke of the day. What does the sun and a pair of breasts have in common? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:29 What does a pair of breasts and the sun have in common. Both will get you in a lot of trouble if you stare at them too long.
