Starting point is 00:00:00 With Amex Platinum, you have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide. So your experience before takeoff is a taste of what's to come. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Blaze Radio Network. And now, Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher. So I keep getting these old headlines in my timeline. A middle schooler won an award for her science project,
Starting point is 00:00:28 which found that on average, is 70% of the ice that comes from fast food restaurants is dirtier than toilet water. Well, of course, I have to stop and read it. And it's a Florida student found that ice at fast food restaurants, obviously dirtier than toilet water at the same establishment. The 12-year-old, Jasmine Roberts, student, she hypothesized that the ice at fast food joints was probably dirtier than toilets.
Starting point is 00:00:55 So she went to five fast food restaurants and collected samples. She ordered cups of ice and put them in sterile beakers. She also went into the bathroom, flushed the toilet once, and collected a sample. Findings were pretty disturbing. 70% of the time, the ice from the fast food restaurants contains more bacteria than the fast food restaurants, toilet water. Now, that was what she said in her news report and in her report at the Hillsborough County Public Schools preparing students for life program, the STEM program.
Starting point is 00:01:28 And they did a news report on her. However, this was, I don't know, way back in the mid-2000s, something like that. I mean, she was 12 at the time. And then I know she went on Oprah when she was 12. And then I find a story about her in 2017 saying that she's 23 now in this story. so she's what, 33 now, something like that, maybe older, and this happened so long ago, my gosh, that water is clean.
Starting point is 00:02:09 We don't need to worry about it. These headlines are just scare tactic. The fast food restaurants are fine, sure. She placed first in the regional science fair and received $800. That's nice. But that was so long ago. We've taken care of the dirty ice issue. you at fast food restaurants and movie theaters.
Starting point is 00:02:31 I'm positive about that. Aren't you? Welcome. Welcome to Chewing the Fat. Coming to a Costco near you. So I received an email from a listener, Todd, at Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com. And he claims he went to Costco, and they're scanning your card as you enter. And he said, after I passed through,
Starting point is 00:03:01 I had a blown up picture of myself. Okay, so I have not experienced this yet. Now, I've experienced them checking my card as I go in, and they haven't actually checked the card to make sure I am who I am when I enter. They just make sure I have a card. Now, they do look at the back picture when I check out. They do double check that. Now, if it's a different picture, I would absolutely tell them that that,
Starting point is 00:03:31 me before my transition and see what they'd say because I feel like they can't say anything and they would just let me through. However, this means that they are scanning your card at the entranceway and then it comes up on a tablet, poop with your picture, and then it's okay for you to enter. Right? Now, I started reading about it and they broke this out in the San Diego market, I don't know, earlier this year. and it's like two iPads that on a stand with a screen that faces the employee. The second you scan your photo comes up on the screen, lots of people walking past and people are getting turned back to scan at the original store.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Okay. So what happens if, you know, I come in with two or three people, they just, we have to be all together and my card is good for them to come in with me as well. I'm not sure do both all people have to have a card now that's okay to even come into the store? I don't understand. And now this is just another example of where, you know, where is this information being stored, if it's being stored at all, because now it's another point of keeping tabs on who is in your store at what time they're in their store. I don't know where that information is stored
Starting point is 00:05:00 And you know, it's all been, we've all been hacked You can quote me on that We've all been hacked So the old Costco Charge me to shop there And now you want me to jump through hoops Just to get in, let alone jumping through hoops To purchase products
Starting point is 00:05:17 That I've already paid to get into your store to purchase Might be time to rethink The old Costco membership maybe because they do have a couple things that I really like to purchase but I can purchase them somewhere else someplace else I just I don't want to but it may be time for me to say okay I will I don't know why but I just like the senator Bob Menendez case a week ago maybe a little bit more than a week ago he was refuting reports that he's planning to resign Sure, he was convicted on federal bribery charges.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Sure, he was convicted on all 16 felony counts in the 18-count indictment, charged with bribery extortion under color of official right and public official acting as a foreign agent, among other accounts. I mean, he's accused of accepting lavish bribes and gold bars in exchange for political influence, and he acted as a foreign agent, agent to benefit governments of Egypt and guitar, as well as three other New Jersey businessmen. Now, he denied all those charges, but he was found guilty. And he said, I am not stepping down.
Starting point is 00:06:37 And there has to be a vote to, you know, get me out of Congress and I am not stepping down. I don't care what all you people are saying, no, I am not stepping down. Then, earlier this week, you know what, I will step down. I will step down effective August 20th. I'll stick around for a month, and then you can kick me to the curb, no problem. So, of course, we find this out from someone on the inside who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations. So Bob Menendez is history in less than a month now, August 20th.
Starting point is 00:07:20 And I just smile because he fought so hard. to not be found guilty, blamed it on his wife who has cancer, tried to get out of it, and they still found him guilty. And then he said, I'm not leaving. I'm staying in office. You're going to have to kick me out yourself. And then, okay, I'll step down. All right, I'll step down.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Now, his sentencing is on October 29th. He could go to, the guy's 70 years old. He could go to prison with all these charges. 222 years. I am not laughing at that. No one, and you can quote me on this, no one wants to go to jail, I'm sorry, prison for 222 years.
Starting point is 00:08:06 In fact, no one wants to be stuck anywhere for any amount of time, but sometimes you can't help it. Natural disasters come along, and you're without power, and you can't get to the grocery store, and you can't get to your doctor or your pharmacy, and it would be nice if you would, prepared, right? I mean, we saw that not long ago. In the wake of Hurricane Barrel, we've had
Starting point is 00:08:30 two or three million people left without power in Texas. And, you know, we're all trying to prepare for big storms, but we never can be 100% ready because it's going to happen. They're natural disasters. There's going to be power outages, and you need to be prepared because not only is it going to be difficult to get to pharmacies and or your doctor's office, they may not be able to get. get to their own pharmacies and doctors offices. So you won't be able to, they won't be open. And the deliveries of your medicines, if they have it at all, won't be able to reach the pharmacies or the doctors.
Starting point is 00:09:05 So there's something you can do to ensure that you and your loved ones have medication on hand when it's needed. It's a solution that thousands of people have already discovered. It's called the Jace case. And it will allow you to start stocking up on medication right now. So you're prepared. The Jace case is a personalized emergency kit. It contains essential antibiotics and medications that treat the most common and deadly bacterial infections.
Starting point is 00:09:34 It provides five life-saving antibiotics for emergency use. You just fill out the simple form online and you'll have it in case you need it. And there are add-on options as well, Epipens and Ivermectin. Jace Medical encourages you to take your family's health into your own hands. When you visit jace.com, you'll also see that they have a thing called Jace Daily. It's the prescription supply that will give you a 12-month extended supply on your current daily prescription meds. That is really cool and an extra advantage to being prepared. Go to jace.com.
Starting point is 00:10:16 Jase.com. J-A-S-E-D-com. You can enter the code Jeffie, J-E-F-F-Y, a checkout for a discount on your own. order. Jace.com, promo code Jeffie, jace.com. JASE.com. Starting point is 00:11:13 We'd love to talk. Business. Yesterday we talked about how Cruz is getting back up and running in San Francisco with their autonomous taxis. Yes, the driverless cars. Today we see where Alphabet is going to invest an additional $5 billion in its autonomous vehicle unit Waymo over the next few years. Company reports Waymo is delivering 50,000 paid rides per week, primarily in San Francisco and
Starting point is 00:11:48 Phoenix. Now, they provide, they have Waymo's in Los Angeles and Austin as well. Okay, we'll see. I guess they're trying to get the testing in Washington, D.C. as well. So they're already getting 50,000 paid Waymo Rise. No wonder Cruz wants to get back into the business. Yeah. No kidding.
Starting point is 00:12:13 And they are saying now that the robotaxi operator is trying to get approval to start offering pickups and drop-offs at San Francisco International Airport. If they can come and go at the airports, boy, the cab drivers are going to be and probably already are pissed. You can count. on that. Then I see where Philip Morris, you know him, you love them. They said, look, last week I saw a headline that talked about them opening up a new $600 million manufacturing plant in Colorado to boost the dwindling supply of the popular nicotine pouches.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Yeah, I mean, everybody's doing Zinn. I guess that's a Tucker Carlson thing. And he's, I don't know that Zinn pays him any money. I don't know that Zinn sends him free to. tins. I know we saw the video of him having this giant world's largest Zinn tin delivered to his wherever he was at at the time. I don't know if that was his house or not, but it was because they helicoptered in a giant Zinn tin for Tucker. So I don't know what kind of deal he has with them. But Philip Morris says, well, you know what? We're going to raise
Starting point is 00:13:27 our annual profit forecast as well. You know why? Because of Zinn. Yeah. We could we could hit 580 million cans this year. So we're going to raise our annual profit forecast. So Zinn is in, baby, and Philip Morris wants you to continue to grab the pouch from the old Zinn tin. I have not done that yet. I almost did. I asked, they were talking about there being shortages of it. So when I was buying a lotto ticket and paying for gas or whatever,
Starting point is 00:14:05 I said, you got any Zen? And they looked back there. Yeah, we've got plenty of it back here. And he pulled one out. And I asked him to pull the mint one out because if I was going to try one, I would want the mint one. And I thought, man, I came close. I came close.
Starting point is 00:14:21 But I didn't do it. I said, no, no, no. If you're going to, if you're going to, if you're going to, I'm going to start popping Zen patches. Let's make me miss smoking even more. I mean, I still chew some nicotine gum that I'm probably not supposed to be chewing. I haven't smoked cigarettes in five years now. And almost five years, right?
Starting point is 00:14:44 And so I still miss it from time to time. But I do still, you know, chew some nicotine gum. And if I start popping some Zinn pouches, I might pretty soon. I'll be packing a pack of cigarettes and going, I can still smoke. Shut up. All right, you can be sure to follow me on my social media sites
Starting point is 00:15:05 at Jeffrey JFR. I know I can't. I got it. I won't, okay? And I just, it's just I see people smoking sometimes. I've talked about it before, but man, some days I say,
Starting point is 00:15:18 wow, how could you be smoking? It looks terrible. And then other days, I see somebody smoking and all I want to do is smoke a cigarette right then and there. It would be,
Starting point is 00:15:28 it's everything I have. not to just either rob them or ask them nicely to loan me a cigarette and just smoke, light that thing up right now and just, man, that smoke, that hot smoke down into your lungs and then blow it out. Oh, man, nothing better. I know. Stop looking at me like that. Anyway, be sure to follow me on my social media sites at Jeffrey JFR on X. Jeff Fisher Radio on Instagram. and Facebook. My YouTube channel is Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher. You can email the show anytime Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com, and I really do appreciate all the emails. And I do see them.
Starting point is 00:16:16 I may not reply to them, but I do see them. And I tell you about some of them on the show. I appreciate all your emails. Chewing the fat at theblaze.com. If you'd also like to be a contestant on what's the lie, be sure to tell me in an email to Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com. We have a winner contestant this week. We his third opportunity to lose.
Starting point is 00:16:38 I mean his third opportunity to win. And I'm only going to give him four shots. I change the rules in my head. If you win four times, then you're out. And we get a new contestant. Because we'll see. We'll see how good our contestant does this week. He's been great.
Starting point is 00:16:55 He's been great. And I don't want to throw any aspersions on our contestant, but now that I'm talking about it out loud, I mean, I'm going to have to make sure that he understands the rules of not. cheating. That's just, I'm just going to have to do that. I'm not saying he is cheating. I'm not saying saying he did cheat. I'm not saying he was. I'm just saying I want to explain the rules to him that you can't. That's all. You can order a cameo from me at Jeffrey JFR on Camio.
Starting point is 00:17:20 On the app, it's at Jeffrey JFR. And then I believe on the Cameo website, it is Jeff Fisher. That's not free. You pay for the cameo. But, you know, you just let me know whether you want me to be happy, glad, sad, mad, mean, whatever you need. I'm there for. You. You're not free. I'm there for. on Camio at Jeffey JFR. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately. So I see where my boy Kevin Costner, they released Horizon an American saga
Starting point is 00:17:54 on video on demand earlier this week. And it hit the number one spot. So, I mean, that's pretty good. And that's what I said all along, is released it to start. streaming because the first one, which I, you know, I enjoyed the heck out of and I can't wait for number two. I've said that all along and they postponed that. They said they weren't going to release the number two in August because of the poor showing at the theaters for the first one.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Well, and now they released it to video on demand and it's number one. People will watch it at home. Just release them all online, Kevin. I know you're the big film buff and you want to be able to able to show stuff at the theaters. I get it. And you know what? Do both. Release it to the theaters and also video on demand. Or maybe you release it to the theaters. Use the Jeff Fisher plan. Release it to the theater for the first week. If it's not in the first 10 after that, video on demand.
Starting point is 00:18:53 And it was at 10 this weekend. So it was on its way out of the top 10. And they released it the first part of this week for video on demand. That should be the plan to all movies. Actually, if you want to make a deal with the theaters, make that deal. We'll release it to the theaters, and when it drops below number 10, it gets released to streaming. You can still show it at your theaters, but it's going to be able to be viewed at home as well. That's what needs to happen.
Starting point is 00:19:22 So that's what he needs to do, is just release the whole thing, video on demand or go the Jeff Fisher route as far as doing it at the theater and then the video on demand. But they've already postponed the release of number two, and that's what I want to see. I watched number one. It was okay. You laid all the groundwork. Now, let me see number two. You've already started filming number three. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:19:46 You've invested all this money. I keep seeing that it was a $100 million movie and he invested $30 million. Then some of it was him investing $100 million. So I don't know if it was his $100 million for all three or four. And the other money was from other investors. But, I mean, it was a lot of money. So they need to make their money back. and they need to do it quickly or they never will.
Starting point is 00:20:09 And then I saw rumors about Kevin coming back to Yellowstone. That's not going to happen. All right. He and Taylor are done. And Yellowstone is, I mean, they're filming if they've not already filmed the final half of the season already. So have a nice day. That's not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:20:26 He's over. He's even said, although I know in today's world, big deal. Oh, he said he wasn't going back and now he is? Oh, man. I never heard of that happening before. Yeah, I mean, that could definitely happen, no question. But, I mean, he was at 10th place this weekend at 28.5 million domestic total. Wow, that is not good.
Starting point is 00:20:46 So, I mean, he expected a lot better for that. And so did I. I did too. And then I watched it. I told you, I enjoyed the heck out of it. I love the genre. I love that time frame. All right, that time frame of after the Civil War and us getting into the early 1900s is a great
Starting point is 00:21:05 genre. I mean, the stories abound over people who were struggling. Everyone was struggling, but they were looking for a better place, and it was the land of the free and the home of the brave, but it really wasn't. It's just fascinating. I love that time frame, and those are great stories to be told. So, you know, come on, let's go. Release it all on video on demand so that we could
Starting point is 00:21:27 all just watch it when we want. Okay. Speaking of streaming, though, I saw where Netflix ranked fourth now among all media companies last month and share of TV use in the United States. That's the best mark to date. So Nielsen Media, we've talked about the Nielsen Media distributor gauges that they started doing a few months back, which is fascinating to me. And they give you the charts. And they have 14 media companies got above 1% threshold threshold for the inclusion on the distributor rankings. Disney, YouTube, NBC Universal, Netflix.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Those are your top four. Paramount as your top five. And then you have Warner Brothers Discovery, Fox, Amazon, Scripps, Roku Channel. Okay. You have the Weigel Broadcasting. You have A&E Networks, Hallmark, and AMC Networks,
Starting point is 00:22:30 with 1.1% is at the bottom of the rock number 14. They have to reach a, oh, go over one. And that's probably me watching hell on wheels. That's what pushed them on AMC plus over the edge this past month was me watching hell on wheels, which is in that time frame of horizon. That's the 1800s into the early 1900s, and we're building the railroad,
Starting point is 00:22:57 and the country is on fire, and we're looking forward to the future. and we're just, I love that whole genre. So congratulations to all who are, you know, now in the top of media distributors. Yay! I mean, we're all paying so much for these streaming services. I mean, Apple TV, I guess, is at, what does it cost you? This chart that I have here shows two different listings.
Starting point is 00:23:30 It's got start price and end price. And so like Apple TV Plus went from $499 to $9.99. I don't know if that's where they're at right now. Disney Plus is $699 to $1399. Netflix is $7.99 to $15.49. And I can tell you that I know I'm paying more than $1549 for Netflix. You know, because I've got to have all, I've got to have multiple devices able to watch Netflix at the same time.
Starting point is 00:23:58 and I'm paying for, I don't know, whatever their friend's plan is, so that, heaven forbid, somebody in the family have a password. So the peacock, I don't not have peacock. That's $9.99 a month. Hulu, we have Hulu live, Hulu and Hulu live,
Starting point is 00:24:16 and we get HBO Max through that Hulu live plan. Prime Video, 899 to 1199. I have that, and I'm very frustrated with them. I love having them, but, And I love having their, they have that all under one window. And so, you know, I love having to be able to deliver goods to my home quickly. And I also like their, you know, their video on demand program, but I'm really tired of them ramming commercials down my throat when I'm already paying for the service.
Starting point is 00:24:47 Shrutter, I don't have Shrutter. 599 to 699. Paramount Plus, I do have that. 99 to 1199. I'm pretty sure I'm not paying that much for Paramount. plus with commercials. HBO Max, I get that through the Hulu Live, but they're saying it's 15
Starting point is 00:25:02 bucks a month, $14.99 or $5.99? And crunchy roll, which I do not have for $7.99 a month. So I have AMC Plus. I'm not sure what paying for that. My son pays for that. My other son pays for the Disney Plus. I mean, we're trying to
Starting point is 00:25:18 find ways to, you know, make it work for everybody so that we can all get our streaming services and be able to afford it. and so they're making it more and more difficult for you to be able to do that because they want every nickel they can squeeze out of your fingers. So that's what I talked about. When they start bundling all these streaming devices,
Starting point is 00:25:39 that's what they're doing because people will order it and then watch the three shows they want to watch and then they'll get rid of it, which I don't blame them. And so now if you bundle that, it's going to be very difficult to get rid of the streaming service that you aren't watching because that's part of the bundle. It's hockey season and you can get anything you need delivered with Uber Eats. Well, almost, almost anything.
Starting point is 00:26:20 So no, you can't get a nice rank on Uber Eats. But iced tea, ice cream, or just plain old ice? Yes, we deliver those. Goaltenders, no, but chicken tenders, yes. Because those are groceries and we deliver those too. Along with your favorite restaurant food, alcohol, and other everyday essentials. Order Uber Eats now. For alcohol, you must be legal drinking age.
Starting point is 00:26:40 Please enjoy responsibly. Product availability varies by region. See app for details. Who died today? Who died today? John Mayall. John Mayall, dead at the age of 90. The British Blues musician,
Starting point is 00:26:57 a rock and roll hall of fame member whose influential band, The Blues Breakers, was training ground for Eric Clapton, McFleetwood, and many other superststand. stars, his Instagram page announced his death, saying the musician died at his home in California
Starting point is 00:27:16 health issues that forced John to end his epic touring career have finally led to peace for one of this world's greatest road warriors. So John Mayle, rest in peace, dead
Starting point is 00:27:32 at the age of 90. Oh, you know, we were just talking about streaming rights and broadcast moguls, media distributors. I talked about how Warner Brothers Discovery was trying to get into bed again with the NBA because they were saying that, oh, no, we got a match deal and Amazon can't outbid us.
Starting point is 00:27:58 Well, you're wrong. NBA signed the deal. It's an 11-year, $76 billion TV and media rights deal with ABC, ESPN, NBC, and Amazon. And Warner Brothers Discovery gets kicked to the curb. Have a nice day. No, you're not going to have NBA any longer. Congratulations to Salt Lake City,
Starting point is 00:28:23 as they were selected to host. They were the front runners, and they were selected to host the 2034 Winter Olympics. Wow, 32 years after previously hosting the games in 2000. And we found out, we know that LeBron James is going to carry the flag for the U.S. and the opening ceremonies. Also, Team USA's female flag bearer for tomorrow's opening ceremony is tennis star Koko Gough will carry the flag at the Olympic openings.
Starting point is 00:28:56 That's nice. It's wonderful. And speaking of the Olympics, I see where day one of the France 24 Olympic Games, because I believe they've already started some of the games. things are already happening, just the opening ceremonies haven't taken place. We find out that the Australian cycling team was robbed. Good to be in France, though. The match abandoned due to violence.
Starting point is 00:29:22 That's good. And a trans woman delivered the Olympic flame. So, man, good times. Good times in Paris, France. And I can't wait for more exciting news coming out of France around the Olympics. I'll be here for it. Another thing I'm here for is the crowd strike
Starting point is 00:29:42 apology tour. So last week's the crowd strike outage plunged a noticeable portion of the world into the blue death screens. They claim it was what, I don't know, 8 million people or something like that, whatever they claimed was way wrong. It may have affected officially that many screens,
Starting point is 00:30:02 but it was affected a lot more. people than that and oh you know hundreds of millions of dollars so they tried to send uh teammates and partners a ten dollar uber eats card the gift was an attempt to apologize for the global shutdown yeah you shut down locked us lost us uh i don't know tens of millions of dollars but hey here's a ten dollar uber eats card and the gift card was an attempt to say oh sorry yeah we locked up your computer systems ah sorry yeah with the bank in the hospitals and the airlines and we're sorry here's a ten dollar Uber Eats card okay thank you and I guess you know I guess thank you is in order we appreciate it
Starting point is 00:30:49 sure however when people started to use the cards they came up with they were flagged and you couldn't use them wait what yeah sorry about that And CrowdStrike wants to be clear that we did not send gift cards to customers or clients. We did send these to our teammates and partners who have been helping customers through this situation. But Uber flagged the cards as fraud because of high usage rates. You'd think that they would know if Crowdstrike bought a bunch of $10 Uber gift cards and we're sending them out, you'd think that Uber would realize,
Starting point is 00:31:40 hey, those aren't fraud. Those are the bunch of cards that were sent out by Crowdstrike. But no, and maybe Uber's pissed at Crowdstrike and just saying, yeah, flag them is fraud because we're some of the people that they're trying to be nice to. And we don't want them to be nice.
Starting point is 00:31:55 We want them to get our service back up and running. But, hey, thanks for the $10 card. How many times have you called 911 in your life. I know. I was trying to think, you know, very few times, very few times have I actually called 911. And this Ohio woman just pled guilty to calling 911 hundreds of times over fake emergencies for the thrill of getting countless ambulance rides. Huh? How much is that? Kisha Kennedy placed a massive strain on emergency services in the city of Zanesville. And I'm a man, I love Zane I'm going to
Starting point is 00:32:36 Disverting critical resources away from people in actual need. Yeah, that's an issue with the bogus calls. Dating back to 2020, the Muskingham County Prosecutor's Office said in one case, the South of Zanesville Fire Department was unable to respond to a call involving a person who couldn't breathe, who later died because they were occupied transporting the 34-year-old fakesst. they called her a fabulous. So that's an issue. And she may, I wouldn't be surprised us have her charge with that.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Kennedy called 911 nearly 400 times, sometimes several times a day and would complain about various illnesses. The prosecutor's office said she effectively used first responders for her personal entertainment for ambulance rides to the hospital. Once she was there, doctors would give her. a clean bill of health. Each transport and visit was footed by taxpayer dollars through Medicaid. A forensic psychologist who evaluated Kennedy said she demonstrated factitious disorder,
Starting point is 00:33:49 which means that she's a liar. A factitious disorder. Yeah, that's what she suffered from. That's a liar. So she pleaded guilty to charges of disrupting public services, false alarms, both felonies, both felonies, and another 25 misdemeanor counts of misuse of 911 systems. Man, she should be charged. If someone died because they were transporting her and nothing was wrong with her,
Starting point is 00:34:15 wow, that's an issue. Although, you know, you have to pick them up and you call 911, you got to, I guess you have to go make sure they're okay. I'm not sure why it wasn't picked up sooner. 400 times? I guess the number is 400. You could ask, you know, what's the line? What's the line before you go, hey, you know, she's called before.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Maybe we don't need to pick her up. Or maybe we send someone else before we actually send the ambulance. Send one of our police officers out to do a check. Something. Just incredible. They were even saying that 350 pointless ambulance runs is absolutely ridiculous. Yeah. And they said it was more than 400.
Starting point is 00:35:02 So that's a problem. And I'm not quite sure I have an answer. Because when someone calls 911, and if you don't go, you know, the one who cried wolf and then, you know, this person is sick and it passes away or gets sicker because you didn't pick them up. Now you're the one responsible. So, I mean, I don't know. I don't know. You just have to send someone else a preliminary check before we get you into the ambulance. We're going to go ahead and do that, okay?
Starting point is 00:35:31 So it doesn't say how long she gets to serve in prison, in jail. I'm not sure if she'll have to go to some mental institution. They'll even have those anymore. No. She's going to be sentenced at a later date, so we don't know. I'm sure that she'll be busy calling 911 before sentencing. Marshall's buyers travel far and wide, hustling for great deals on amazing gifts. So you don't have to.
Starting point is 00:36:14 They've bagged this season's Italian leather handbags. Designer. Handpicked the finest sweaters from the rest. Ooh, cashmere. Landed makeup pallets from the brands you love. Rushes too. And hustled all those wishless topping toys. So plush.
Starting point is 00:36:31 Our buyers have got you covered. Marshals. We get the deals. You gift the good stuff. I mean, I don't know if you could still hire ambulances. I know you used to be able to. Remember, Orson Wells used to, a hundred years ago.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Orson Wells, he told the story on television more than once, I believe, and we know of him using an ambulance to go from a radio show to plays in New York. He told, I think he, one story he told on The Tonight Show was that he hired an ambulance to take him around the city going from radio show to radio show. He worked for two or three different radio shows. and they were in different buildings and so he realized that hey I can get around in an ambulance
Starting point is 00:37:19 and I can do it a lot faster and my original story that I remember hearing was that he would go from a play to a radio show and so when the play's over he was waiting for his taxi and he saw an ambulance go by and he said hey I wonder if I could ride in one of those
Starting point is 00:37:38 and he did and they rented the ambulance I don't know if you can still do that Give it a shot. If you drive an ambulance, email me at Chewing the Fat of the Blaze.com. I want to know if I can hire you to take me places because that would be awesome. Another thing that would be awesome,
Starting point is 00:37:56 and you may need an ambulance if you were to drink all of these. I see where Pab's Blue Ribbon, man, Paps Blue Ribbon, is launching a massive 180 pack to celebrate its 180th birthday. That's what I need. I need a 180 pack of Pab's blue ribbon. So it's the equivalent to six 30 packs or 2,160 ounces of beer.
Starting point is 00:38:26 It's set to make waves in the beer industry. Yeah, okay. So PAPS has a history of innovative packaging from his famous blue ribbon wrapped bottles to recent eye-catching releases like the 99 pack, and the record-breaking 1776. This year's 180 pack isn't just about size. It's a nod to Papp's long-standing tradition of standing out in a competitive market. Who wrote this PAPS?
Starting point is 00:38:52 By leveraging its anniversary to cut captive consumers, PAPS continues to redefine what it means to make a statement in beer packaging. Rachel Keaton, marketing director at Papps Brewing, puts it, Our fans get really excited about these large promo packs. Do they? So we always try to bring something exciting or new to the market. Ha! They look, I mean, this 180 pack looks awesome. I can't wait to see them into the stores.
Starting point is 00:39:24 The 180th Papps Blue Ribbon in my drinking days. Paps was a beer a lot. A hundred years ago, I used to drink. And then I, you know, I actually moved up to, I don't want to say better beers. We'll just say different beers. But Paps was definitely front runner. back in the old days. Back of the day, it didn't matter.
Starting point is 00:39:46 I worked for a guy that used to drink. It was called red, white, blue. He would buy the cheapest rock gut beer you could possibly get. And that was not, I mean, Papps was, you know, a top of the world champagne compared to what he used to drink. And Ed would just have one. And after you drink about three or four, it doesn't matter. You're just pounded down more beers.
Starting point is 00:40:12 But the next day it makes a difference because you drink a night of rock gut beer and the next day, you are paying for it, my friends. You pay for it with Moosehead and Heineken and Bush and Mickelope and all those other Miller. You pay for that? Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:40:31 I know, but not the same as the rock gut, man. I lived by one guy. My man, the painter, down the street from me, he would drink Miller High Life in the bottle. And Trash Day, he would sit at his garage every, all night, every night, and just watch sports, and the men in the neighborhood would come in and drink a beer and BS and smoke and go home and Don would just sit there and drink Miller High Life. So on Trash Day, when they'd come and empty the trash cans,
Starting point is 00:41:01 all you heard from Don's house was, you know, multiple trash cans full of empty Miller High Life bottles clinging into the trash can. It was awesome. So look for the Pabst Blue Ribbon, 180 pack, and celebrate PAP's birthday along with Papps and sing them, Happy Birthday,
Starting point is 00:41:22 their 180th, happy birthday to PAPS Blue Ribbon beer. In honor of Paps, I'll give you a joke of the day that's, you know, kind of a big guy joke, but it's in honor of Paps Blue Ribbon and drinking beer, okay?
