Starting point is 00:00:00 Blaze Radio Network. And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. So I was really bummed that I missed the Pittsburgh area balls out bowling event put on by the Pittsburgh area naturalists. It happened this past weekend. If you're listening live, today is the 15th of July 2025. It happened on Saturday, the 12th, very disappointed. You could spend $30. You got four hours of unlimited bowling and shoe rental.
Starting point is 00:00:34 And the group said the only clothing allowed for attendees are shoes, which are required, and optional bottoms for women. I'm not quite sure why. I mean, everybody has to be nude. But shoes. Shoes are required. Got to do that. But no problem.
Starting point is 00:00:55 Make sure that you bring a towel. and sexual activity is not permitted. Nudism does not equal consent and harassment will not be taken lightly. Violators will be asked to leave. Yeah, okay? No photos or videos are allowed during this event either. Participants must be 18 years old
Starting point is 00:01:19 and all genders, sexuality and bodies are welcome. So you need a towel and a bag for your belongings. longings. And we missed it. It was this past Saturday put on by the Pittsburgh area naturalist. They do a yearly balls out bowling event. I was looking, last year was $25. So it went up $5 this year. Plus another thing is I went to the Pittsburgh area natures Facebook page. They're advertising an international skinny dip day, which was Saturday as well. What are we doing? doing? So they had the balls out bowling event and then they had these, this skinny dipping event, the international Skinny Dip Day road trip, which started on Saturday and ended on Saturday because I guess
Starting point is 00:02:12 they were skinny dipping in all five great lakes to help Skinny Dip Day.org raise money for the Fistula Foundation. Okay. So we missed it though. Yeah, we're going to start with Lake Superior at sunrise and ending at Hanlon's Point Beach about 7.30 p.m. And man, what fun that would have been to just travel around and skinny dip in all five great lakes as you go around the state of Michigan. Am I right? Yeah, I am. But we missed them both. If you didn't miss them all, you can email me chewing the fat at the blaze.com. I'd love to find out exactly how the events went. But man, I got to sign up for their alerts so that I, because you don't want to miss balls out bowling.
Starting point is 00:03:07 Am I right? Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. So I'm reading this story this morning about some secret menu that Starbucks has that they just shared. Oh, what? Yeah. But you can only get it.
Starting point is 00:03:30 through their app. And I guess to celebrate their new secret menu reveal on their app, Starbucks is holding a contest for drink customizations with the grand prize getting $25,000. And I thought, okay, well, that's kind of a cute little thing. Good. It's not going, am I going to use, I have a, I do legitimately have the Starbucks app on my phone because I'm asked to stop there from time to time.
Starting point is 00:03:57 And so, I mean, I just use the app. because it's cheaper and people in my world have money on the Starbucks app account. But then I see the story that actually is the Starbucks story of the day, and I can't believe this is still ongoing. Starbucks has told their remote workers that they need to return to the office four days a week. Oh my gosh. starting in early October instead of three days a week. Yeah, you need to be in the office.
Starting point is 00:04:33 That's just what needs to happen. Oh, okay. I mean, we are still on that. We're coming down off the COVID era changes for this at the major corporation. Incredible. Incredible. So they originally said, and some of the people are going to have to move, right? So the company said all hiring for future roles and lateral moves,
Starting point is 00:04:57 will require employees to be based in Seattle or Toronto. Oh, okay, because originally they said that they were going to require vice presidents to relocate to Seattle or Toronto. And I feel like I remember talking about that because they talked about their people leaders must be based in either Seattle or Toronto. And that was, I don't know, they had to do that within a year. now we're re-establishing our in-office culture. We need to do our best work when we're together.
Starting point is 00:05:33 And we share ideas more effectively, creative, solve hard problems, and move much faster. So you guys need to figure it out because we have to move. And you need to make sure that you're coming to Seattle or Toronto and you're going to have to be there for at least four days a week in the office. The horror! Also, the CEO, Nicol, who, I mean, he's trying to make some changes there. No question about it.
Starting point is 00:06:03 He said that, look, the affected workers who choose not to relocate, they're going to be eligible for a one-time voluntary exit program with a cash payment. So you get a buyout. You don't want to move to Toronto or Seattle and go into the office four days a week. You'll get a buyout. But that's a one-time deal. That's a one-time deal. So choose wisely.
Starting point is 00:06:28 And that goes for anyone, really. Choose wisely. And especially now, if you're looking to move, man, whether you're moving in the same town or somewhere else in the country. Let's say Toronto or Seattle, you're going to want a real real estate agent. Yeah, not just any agent, you're going to want someone who's really good at what they do. The fly-by-night moonlighters are not going to. to cut it. No way. Glenn found this out years ago when he used to have to move a lot and he got tired of dealing with mediocre agents right and left. So he created the free service called real estate agents,
Starting point is 00:07:06 I trust, and that connects you with the top performing agents who actually care about your outcome. Agents who are experienced, vetted, fully committed to helping you buy and sell with confidence. See, that's what's supposed to happen. You're supposed to buy low and sell high. Oh man, I wish I would have known that in the past. I know that now, and I'm glad that I know it now, but I wish I would have known it in the past. You have the advantage of knowing it now. Real estateagentsitrust.com can help you through that process
Starting point is 00:07:40 because the move that you're doing isn't just a move, it's your life. And you deserve to work with someone who treats it that way. Real estate agents, I trust.com. Real estate agents I trust. The name pretty much says it all. Real estateagentrust.com. Real estate agents I trust.com. Boarding for flight 246 to Toronto is delayed 50 minutes.
Starting point is 00:08:32 What? Sounds like Ojo time. Play Ojo? Great idea. Feel the fun with all the latest slots in live casino games and with no wagering requirements. What you win is yours to keep groovy. Hey, I won! Feel the fun.
Starting point is 00:08:49 and passenger Fisher is done celebrating. 19 plus Ontario only. Please play responsibly. Concern by your gambling or that if someone close, you call 18665331-2-6000 or visit Comex Ontario.ca. Did you know that the newsletter platform, substack, has 73.9 million visitors a month? Well, this is saying that it had a record 73.9 million
Starting point is 00:09:14 to the site last month. Okay, so 70 million people are visiting. substack every month. I mean, that beats the traffic on Wall Street Journal.com. Yeah, that's pretty good. This is, now this is according to similar web data
Starting point is 00:09:32 analyzed by Sherwood. I love Sherwood and the analyzing that Sherwood does. So according to this, Substack isn't a single news org, but a social platform with newsletters, an X-like feed, and video content.
Starting point is 00:09:51 The visitor's surge reflects its growing cultural cachet. Subs-subs-sax revenue derived from a 10% fee on writer's subscription halls, reached $45 million a year, and is probably getting a boost from heightened interest in political content during President Trump's second term. Yeah. The platform is looking to raise up to $100 million from investors and hoping to attract sponsorships according to Substacker,
Starting point is 00:10:18 Eric Newcomer. Okay. I may have to visit Substack a little bit more. Now, along with, you know, you can get updates from friends and neighbors about the jewelry business and whatever updates you have about your neighbors, writers have already made a name for themselves. They're driving Substack popularity. It's 500,000 creators include, I mean, there's all kinds of journalists talking all the
Starting point is 00:10:48 time saying, I just wrote about that on my substack. The Atlantic had Derek Thompson, celebrity wonk bloggers like Matt Iglesis, and bestselling authors craving creative free reign, including Juna Diaz and George Sanders. Many substacks have found that the platform can give them direct access to six-figure audiences that they can monetize. Are they monetizing it, though? I mean, are they actually monetizing it? They claim here that top writers with paying subscribers are rolling in it.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Yeah, uh-huh. Substacks saying over 50 of its creators rake in a million plus per year. Okay. So they have how many 500,000 creators on the substack? 50 of them rake in a million plus. That's good for them. But it doesn't give any of the, what the average that you make on substack. So a lot of journalists have spun out their substacks into publications.
Starting point is 00:12:01 Okay. U.K. Telegraph is creating substack content in Washington Post. It's apparently considering distributing its journalism on the platform. Okay. And some creators have ditched substack for, competing newsletter platforms like Beehive and Ghost. Yeah, I wasn't making any money at Substacks,
Starting point is 00:12:25 so I'm going to go over to Beehive and Ghost. I'm not aware of Beehive and Ghost. I'm going to have to try those out, see if there's worth anything at all. In protest against what they view as substacks lacks content moderation. Oh, they're pissed that. People are saying whatever they want.
Starting point is 00:12:41 I hate that. Yeah, me too. Me too. Go over to beehive and ghosts, and if you want people to regulate what you can say, wow. Okay. So there's many people talking about how, you know, can substat continue to grow? And I would say yes, the answer to that is there's plenty of business out there. It's just difficult to find the companies that are going to provide commercial content to keep you alive, right? But if they have some subscribers,
Starting point is 00:13:14 some I'm sorry they're not subscribers there they have some sub-stackers who have plenty of subscribers are getting a million plus a year it's pretty darn good it's pretty darn good but again it is only 50 out of 500,000 so what's the average what's the average that the old sub-stacker is raking in
Starting point is 00:13:44 Now, I do not have a substack. Maybe I should, but I do have an X account at Jeffrey JFR on X. Jeff Fisher Radio is Instagram and Facebook. I do have a YouTube page Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher. I've been posting a little daily updates on my YouTube page as well, just daily shorts. You're welcome, by the way. That's Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher is my YouTube page. You can email the show anything. time chewing the fat at the blaze.com. Chewing the fat at the blaze.com you can send in your
Starting point is 00:14:20 comments, good, bad, indifferent. I do see them all. I may not comment on them all, but I do see them all. You can send in your submissions for joke of the day and you can send in your submission for you to be a contestant on what's the lie, the game show that we play here on Friday's. So Chewing the fat at the blaze.com. Then you can catch myself. every Saturday on a show called Saturday morning live. Yeah, we ran that through focus groups, and they decided, you know, it's on Saturday, and it's live.
Starting point is 00:14:54 It's in the morning. You guys should probably call it Saturday morning live, and so we did. It starts at 9 a.m. Central. I do that with Brad Staggs, who hosts his own show. Daily Mojo, 5-0 in the morning. Yeah, we'll go with that.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And he also joins me on Saturday morning live as well. I know he puts it up on some different platforms, but the most important platform, obviously, is my ex-account at Jeffrey JFR. So it's really all you need to consume yourself with. And then a reminder that you can order a cameo from me at any time, at Jeffie JFR on the Cameo app. At Jeffey JFR on the Cameo app.
Starting point is 00:15:41 It's not free, but it's worth every doggone nickel. that you spend at Jeffrey JFR on the Cameo app. I mean, this is kind of sad news. I don't really care much except that I wanted to say that I knew he had the car. Joe Burrell, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, is part of this new Netflix show called The Quarterback. He was on Hard Knocks last season when Hard Knocks did the AFC North teams. and he mentioned on that hard knocks that he was going to buy the Batmobile that was like for three million dollars and he just thought that'd be really cool uh yeah Joe Burrow would be really cool to own the Batmobile and now we find out in the quarterback show yeah that he's not going to get it yeah I just didn't want that canceled the purchase yeah um I don't know I just felt like after my house got broken into
Starting point is 00:16:42 you know, I just, I was going to buy the vehicle and then I decided not to. So he got nervous? The criminals kind of put him off his guard a little bit. Now they've charged three men, believed, to be operating as part of the South American theft group. That's according to the U.S. Attorney's Office of Southern District of Ohio. Okay. So, you know, he was on the road, and the law enforcement responded to his home at night.
Starting point is 00:17:10 and while Burrow was away, a bedroom window on the backside of his house was broken, rooms were rummaged through. Okay, well, guess what? That wouldn't happen to people who have the Batmobile parked in their house. I think Batman gets his house broken into? I think not, Joe. I think not. So you're concerned about that.
Starting point is 00:17:38 I would say maybe you need to think again. Now, you know, maybe you've got other things you want to spend three million on. Whatever, you do you, Joe. But I would say that you were probably safer at your house with the Batmobile than you are without it. Again, though, that's just me. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately. I know we've talked several times about how songs get stuck in your head and they're there for several days.
Starting point is 00:18:23 And I have had Viva Las Vegas from the movie Army of the Dead, that version, in my head, since Saturday. Maybe even before Saturday because I was thinking about it on Friday. And I ended up watching it on Saturday after Saturday morning. live. I said, I just go, I'll just watch it because I didn't, and I didn't watch the whole thing. I felt pretty proud of myself. I didn't watch the whole thing. I fast forwarded it
Starting point is 00:18:53 past the first eight minutes and then I watched the rest of the movie. Because the scene where that's when Viva Las Vegas starts, that scene and through the entire song is the taking over of
Starting point is 00:19:10 Las Vegas as the dead are taking over Las Vegas and they are busy closing off Las Vegas and saving as many humans as they can. And they use that song and the, between the audio and the video,
Starting point is 00:19:25 it is absolutely genius. I, one of the best scenes ever. And I know that, what's his face? Zach Snyder thinks that, I mean, that's what he did.
Starting point is 00:19:42 And he was awesome at it. I mean, that's just absolutely genius. But, and I like the movie. It's on Netflix, Army of the Dead. I like the movie. I enjoyed it. And it's, you know, it's an Army of the Dead. It's a, it's a movie about the government, about crime.
Starting point is 00:20:02 I know, big surprise, government and crime. And about trying to, you know, change your life. And I just, The version that Richard Cheese and Allison Crow do from that soundtrack, from the original, I mean, Elvis is the original Viva Las Vegas. Hello. But this version is just awesome. And I was looking at the soundtrack from Army of the Dead, and they don't have the,
Starting point is 00:20:34 at the end, they play Suspicious Minds. That's not on the soundtrack. They play the cover of Bad Moon Rising. Literally, I mean, there's some other songs in there that I guess didn't make the soundtrack. Okay, whatever, you didn't ask me about that. But the version of Viva Las Vegas is so good. So, so good. And I can't get it out of my head.
Starting point is 00:21:04 And I must have listened to it. I bet you have since Saturday I've listened to that song. A million times. Maybe it's just, maybe it's under a million, but it feels like a million times. And just when I think that it's gone, nope, it pops back in my head again.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Congratulations are in order to Bluey. Yes, the kid's favorite show, Bluey is still on top. It's holding the top of the U.S. streaming rankings for the first half of this year. and it's been, I mean, I think it's been number one for like 143 straight weeks. And that's no joke. I don't think that I'm not making that number up.
Starting point is 00:21:50 It's 143 straight weeks that it has been number one. Let's see. Bluey has appeared in Nielsen's streaming ratings, either the overall list or the top 10. Okay, so it hasn't been number one. But it's been in at least the top 10 for 143 weeks. Okay. So it is number one right now. It is the most streamed show of 2025.
Starting point is 00:22:16 And it's the most streamed show of 2024. Holy cow. That is incredible. So it's got 25 billion minutes viewed. From January. to June, it's amassed 25.06 billion minutes of viewing.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Congratulations to Bluey because that's incredible. Now, I will say that that probably because parents put it on and just let it go. Put it on and just let it go. But you know what? Good for them. Good for them.
Starting point is 00:23:05 So let's see. What is in the other top 10? Let's see. Netflix's Squid Game is the lone original. It ranks 9th with 15.07 billion viewing minutes. Okay. Most of that is tribute to viewing of season two. All right.
Starting point is 00:23:29 The show's third and final season, I think. That's already out, right? So I got lost on the Squid game. I'm going to have to get back into it, though. I enjoyed, I mean, the first squid game was awesome, and I just didn't get back into it after that. Don't look at me like that. I know, I have to.
Starting point is 00:23:48 I just haven't. It's something that I have to talk myself into, and once I get there, I'm there. You can quote me on that. Once I get there, I'm there, but I'm just not there yet. Okay? So back off me, all right?
Starting point is 00:24:03 So five other streamers had original series land in the top 10. Reacher, Prime Video's Reacher, 13.31 billion minutes. Apple TV's severance, 9.28 billion. Max is the pit. Yeah, I love that. 8.23 billion. Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. Yeah, my house had some of those, but it got pretty, and let's see.
Starting point is 00:24:30 The only outlet other than Paramount Plus is the only other outfit outlet other than Netflix to have multiple originals in the top 10. 1923, 8.4 billion minutes, 6th place, and Landman in 10th place was 7.38 billion. So those are your streaming numbers for the top streaming shows, but they don't even come close. They become close to Bluey.
Starting point is 00:24:56 Incredible. Over 25 billion minutes of viewing for Bluie. Really, just amazing. Who died today? Who died today? Well, let's begin with British marathon runner Faj Singh. F-A-U-J-A-S-I-N-G-H has died at the age of 114. He was in a road accident in Punjha, India. So the athlete is believed to be the oldest runner to complete a marathon, was hit by a car and suffered fatal injuries while trying to cross a road in his birth village. So I don't know if he was running.
Starting point is 00:25:58 I don't know what the deal was, but he got hit by a car and he did not survive. So his London-based running club and charity seeks in the city, get it? Confirmed his. death and said their upcoming events will be a celebration of his life and achievements. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:22 So rest in peace to Faj Singh, Faj Singh, dead at the age of 114. Then we have a sad story as if they're not all sad. But this young, 25-year-old Radica, young. from India as well. She had a successful career in tennis, and she was busy coaching and helping other people succeed in tennis. And her parents were not happy about her being the breadwinner and having money. And they were also apparently ashamed of her for wearing shorts and talking to boys.
Starting point is 00:27:09 And that's so the dad shot her. oh okay um yeah i would i would say no let's let's not do that okay uh she was found with bullet wounds and when she arrived to the hospital and the local police were say what's going on and then the dad said uh yeah yeah i was that shot her and it was uh i just i couldn't take it anymore she was uh she was making more money and providing for my and I didn't like the clothes she was wearing, so I couldn't take it anymore. And I asked her several times to, you know,
Starting point is 00:27:50 stop being so independent and she refused, so I couldn't take it anymore. Oh, okay. Thank you. Love you, too, Dad. So, Radhika Yadav, murdered, dead at the age of 25. Rest and peace.
Starting point is 00:28:11 And I have to be. haven't mentioned this guy. He's been dead for a few days. Andrea Rousseau, 35, died when he was sucked into a gas turbine at the Milan-Burgamo Airport earlier this or last week. And we all saw the footage and most of it was blurred out there were some, there was some footage out there that was not blurred out of him. And it's funny how they word this here, how he was sucked into the gas turbine. Yeah, he wasn't sucked into it. He jumped into it. He was at the international airport, and he was running around the tarmac, not sure how he got in. I think they said he drove in the wrong way down a road, and then he got out, and he started running around. He ran into the terminal,
Starting point is 00:29:00 back out into the tarmac. And then at one point, you see he runs into one side of the aircraft engine, like he just jumps up against the side of it, which was really weird. And then he ran back underneath the plane over to the other side and jumped into the engine. And he did not survive that. He was not sucked into a gas turbine. He jumped into that turbine. And I don't recommend that for anyone. So I hope that wherever André Russell,
Starting point is 00:29:38 also is that he is getting the help he needs because he definitely needed some kind of help. He is dead at the age of 35. Then we have Samuel Haskell Jr. The son of Emmy winning producer and former William Morris agent Sam
Starting point is 00:29:56 Haskell, who was accused of killing and dismembering his wife and in-laws. Yeah. He was set to face a judge and answer for the alleged triple murder. He was in the Los Angeles jail, and he has committed suicide.
Starting point is 00:30:17 He was 37 years old. So I guess rest in peace, who's Samuel Haskell Jr. Dead at the age of 37. If that was his only way out, boy, that's a, that's just a terrible way to go out after you have murdered your wife and in-laws. Perhaps you should have done that earlier. But hey, you know, I don't want, suicide is a bad thing.
Starting point is 00:30:40 If you, if you or someone you need, someone you love needs help, dial 988. That's the lifeline available 24-7. That's it. You know, I know everyone feels like the world would be a better place without them in it. And that's just not true. But for Samuel Haskell Jr., maybe it is true.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Maybe it was true. Because instead of committing suicide or getting the help that he needed, he murdered his wife and in-laws, and then he went ahead and killed himself. Really, really sad, the whole thing. Then we have Teresa Peroni. Teresa Peroni, who went missing and apparently was killed in 1983.
Starting point is 00:31:29 She was 27 years old. Rest in peace, dude, Teresa Peroni. and they just arrested someone for her murder. So she went missing in 83. Then in 1997, 1997, someone in the area found a human skull. They were out there. Just like, hey, what is that?
Starting point is 00:31:54 Oh, is that a skull? It sure is. And so then they sent it for DNA testing and they searched the area. And the case reopened after 40 years of her missing, her disappearance. And so then they investigators looked at people Peroni knew were still alive and knowledgeable about the investigation. They collected more DNA. And then it was confirmed that the skull found in 1997 belonged to Peroni.
Starting point is 00:32:25 And they tracked down multiple people associated with her before she disappeared. and then they said, hey, you know, this guy, San Fratello, yeah, he was kind of dating her at the time, but they didn't have anything to charge him with back in the 80s, and now they do. Yeah, they arrested him for murder. Mark Sanfrollo Sanfretelo Mark Sanfretelho I'll make sure I pronounce his name right
Starting point is 00:33:01 S-A-F-R-A-T-E-L-L-O 72 He was arrested at the end of last month June of 2025 charged with murder Wow I mean he's been thinking he got away with it since 1983
Starting point is 00:33:18 Nope sorry about it Mark You're going down Then the news now is that John Elway, former, you know, Super Bowl champion quarterback for the Denver Broncos, will not face charges related to the death of his longtime friend and business partner and former agent Jeff Spurback, who died back in April at the age of 62 after he fell off a golf cart being driven by John Elway. John, and he's in the Hall of Fame, too. Of course he is. so apparently he fell off the golf cart
Starting point is 00:33:55 hit his head at this golf club and he was standing on the back of the golf cart before he fell and it was just a horrible accident and I'm sure that John has been John Elway has been devastated from that I mean they were friends and just golfing and the next thing you know
Starting point is 00:34:13 he's falling off the golf cart and hitting his head and he didn't die right away he went to the hospital hospital and he was he had was in I think he was in a coma yeah it was a few days later that he died so he fell off the golf cart and smashed his head on the concrete I'm sure and or hard ground and it was just a complete accident very very sad but anyway John Elway will not be charged within his death it will be ruled an accidental death So I don't know that he actually ever had anything to worry about, but to have something like that hanging over your head, especially when you're mourning, you know, a good friend and trying to be with family members trying to say,
Starting point is 00:35:05 it was an accident. I would never do this on purpose. And in today's world, when we have seen such horrific things on purpose, does make one feel better that John Elway is not a murderer. When I got a great deal on a great gift at Winners, I started wondering, could I get fabulous gifts for everyone on my list? Like this designer fragrance for my daughter. At just $39.99, how could I resist?
Starting point is 00:35:46 This luxurious wool throw for my sister. This gold watch for my partner? A wooden puzzle for my niece? Leather gloves for my boss? Ooh, European chocolate for the crossing guard? At these prices, could I find something for everyone at Winners? Stop wondering. Start gifting. Winners find fabulous for less.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Boy, between the flooding in New York, and now we've got more wildfires to worry about. Firefighters in Arizona are battling a pair of fast-moving wildfires in and near the Grand Canyon. Okay, the Dragon Bravo Fire and the White Sage Fire have burned more than 55,000 acres of land together, roughly, I mean, 55,000 acres at the city. Washington, the Dragon Bravo Fire started by lightning on July 4th.
Starting point is 00:36:41 It was destroyed up to 80 structures, including historic lodge and wastewater treatment plant, which caused a chlorine gas leak. Blaze also forced the closure of the Grand Canyon's North Rim. There goes my vacation. A less popular area that draws in fewer than 10% of the tourists. For the rest of the year, it's shut down. No more North Rim. Don't put that on your bucket list.
Starting point is 00:37:02 It was burned around 5,700 acres. The white sage fire, also caused by lightning, began July 9th. About 35 miles north of the Dragon Bravo fire. That's burned around 50,000. Wow, the Dragon Bravo fire is the one that's burning. Both fires, zero percent contained. So maybe they burn themselves out? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:26 But it's not pretty in Arizona right now as they're trying to get catch up to this Dragon Brom. Bravo fire and the white sage fire as it continues to burn. And it is zero percent contained as of this writing. Ooh, that is not good. And then I saw the pictures of New York flooding. Show me that we're cloud seeding and making it rain over specific areas without telling me your cloud seeding and making it rain over specific areas. It does seem to be an issue as of late around different areas of the country.
Starting point is 00:38:09 Doesn't it? And we talked to this Matt Landman, the maker of Franken skies on Petcreon unleashed. It's available on Blaze TV right now. You can go to BlazeTV.com slash Jeffey and save $20 on an annual subscription. or you can wait until the last Friday of this month when the show airs on Pat Gray on Leash, a regular show. And we talked about all the cloud seeding
Starting point is 00:38:37 that has been happening since the 1800s, and we've got it down pretty good now. And around the globe, let alone here in the United States. And maybe, just maybe, you know, there may be a time when Mother Nature decides to fight back. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:54 We're seeing a little bit of that now, but holy cow, it is not pretty. And so they believe, I listened to Rainmaker, the guy out of California who cloud seeds in multiple states around the country right now, of which the state I live in now, Texas is one. He does not believe, he said the flooding in Texas was not because of him. and they can pretty much detail what clouds are going to rain. They can make it rain. They send the drones in. They make it rain and they're done.
Starting point is 00:39:34 He was pretty confident on that on the interviews that I saw. So we'll see. We'll see. I mean, is it a way of keeping your enemies in check? Yeah. We've used it before as a weapon, according to Matt. And it certainly makes sense that we would use it. as a weapon now if we could.
Starting point is 00:39:58 Doesn't it? And we've got the Major League Baseball All-Star game tonight. I don't know that I'm going to watch it. I may catch some of it. We'll see. It starts tonight 8 p.m. Eastern on Fox. Good. The home run derby was last night. That was fun.
Starting point is 00:40:13 The big dumper is the winner of the Home Run Derby Seattle Mariner Star Cal rally. He's the first catcher to win the event in four decades of existence. So he edged out to Tampa Bay Ray's third baseman junior Camerro with 18 to 15 and the final. And which, I mean, if Caminero would have won, he would have been the youngest champion ever at 22 years old. But and I'm not, I don't follow baseball, you know, wholeheartedly. I do love baseball. But the big dumper has 38 home runs already this year.
Starting point is 00:40:52 He leads the league in home runs. So he has a chance to actually set the record. And good luck. Could be a fun run. And it would definitely a reason to put the Seattle Mariners on your baseball viewing during the last half of the season because he's fun to watch. All right, let's get out of here.
Starting point is 00:41:17 Let's do the joke of the day. This sent to me from Jay at Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com, Chewing the Fat at Theblaze.com, the state's most regarded cardiac surgeon successfully completed a quadruple heart bypass on a 38-year-old woman. The woman was transferred into the recovery room, and when she regains her bearings,
Starting point is 00:41:40 she sees God at the foot of the bed. And the woman asked God, am I dead? And God replied, No, you have 35 years, or however God sounds. to you. And she was relieved at the good news. And she decided to have a tummy tuck, neck and eyebrow lift.
Starting point is 00:42:02 Of course she did. Collagen in her lips, Botox in her forehead. Of course she did. You're going, no, you have 35 years. Okay. And I need to get three cuts to clownface. Of course.
Starting point is 00:42:15 So the woman is released from the hospital and walks over to her car when she's hit by a city bus. That funny. That's funny. And two days later, the woman sees God in heaven. It takes a couple days, apparently, to get an appointment with God after you're dead. And she said, hey, God, what gives?
Starting point is 00:42:35 You said, I had 35 years left. God was like, sorry, I didn't recognize you. But you're God. it's got now that you got it he didn't recognize her we'll move on stream and subscribe to more
