Really, though, when you look deeper into those numbers, um, Vietnam is the most affordable country in the world, but it ranks 53rd out of destinations when it comes to personal finances.

So they provided insights, including the best and worst places to live, you know, quality of life, working abroad and personal finance. So number one, Vietnam. Number two, Colombia. Number three, Indonesia. Number four, Panama.
Starting point is 00:01:50 Number five, Philippines. Number six, India. Number seven, Mexico. number eight Thailand number nine Brazil number 10
Starting point is 00:02:04 China now I would have to say that for sure Brazil good luck God bless in that country in today in today's times and you know what I say good luck God bless into all these countries
Starting point is 00:02:15 but if you want to live in any of those countries good luck good luck God bless in fact that's the way I believe I mean Vietnam I guess This is beautiful this time of year. As a matter of fact, all of these countries, especially Vietnam, the Philippines, Panama, Thailand, China, just beautiful this time of year.
Starting point is 00:02:43 So go and enjoy. Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. You know, while I'm thinking of it, if you want to become an expert, you know, become an expert. Starting point is 00:04:31 Real estate agents, I trust.com. Real estate agents I trust.com. Congratulations to a person in Missouri. They are the first case of the H5 avian influenza without a known exposure to a sick animal. So congratulations to whoever this person is in Missouri as you become the first case of a human to get bird flu without, you know, gumming in contact with an animal. Ha! So that's fantastic. Now, it's the 14th human case of H5 reported in the United States and the first case of H5 without a known occupational exposure to sick or infected animals.
Starting point is 00:05:14 It's also the first H5 case detected through the country's national flu surveillance system. Huh, isn't that interesting? We now have a national flu surveillance system. surveillance system rather than targeted surveillance of the ongoing bird flu outbreak animals. That's great. So the case is under investigation by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. The person had underlying medical conditions, was hospitalized the end of August. The person tested positive for flu, I'm sorry, influenza A, was treated with influenza antiviral
Starting point is 00:05:50 medications and is now recovered and at home. sample from the patient was sent to the CDC, which confirmed the case was the type of bird flu. So, yeah, we sent it to the CDC because we wanted to, you know, be in compliance with the national flu surveillance system. So congratulations to that person in Missouri, who is the first person to get bird flu without coming in contact with an infected animal. That is so great. We also found out that there's a highly, evolved polio strain that may have been leaked from the same Wuhan lab testing COVID-19. Yeah, we don't know yet.
Starting point is 00:06:34 We just know that there's this polio strain. And that's most likely probably coming from the Wuhan lab that, you know, was testing COVID-19, you know, leaked that particular strain of disease. Anyway, now another story out of China. It could be a country, one of the top ten countries, the most. affordable countries to live in, according to expat, a study of more than 450 fur animals in China. Love that study. Has revealed dozens of new viruses and cross-species infections, including some with high risk of human spillover.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Raccoon dogs and minks carried the highest number of potentially high-risk viruses, according to the findings published. the latest issue of nature, including a mink virus closely related to those only found in bats. So we've got that going for us. Congratulations to China for having that. So apparently there's 36 new viruses found and 39 at potentially high risk cross-species transmission. Wait, viruses found include 36 new ones and 39 at potentially high-risk cross-species transmission.
Starting point is 00:07:53 at potentially high risk of cross-species transmission, including human spillover. So we've got that going for us. You can understand why China would be in the top 10 of most affordable countries. Because, man, when you go to China, who doesn't want to get a raccoon dog for a pet? And for those of you that have been concerned about whether you're going to get some new viruses, We also have a study from Harvard University, which claims that they're going,
Starting point is 00:08:26 they found out that high intake of hemeyiron, H-E-E-I-R-O-N, found in red meat, is associated with a 26% increase risk of type 2 diabetes. So this is just a way for them to give us to stop eating meat. Researchers identified a significant link between hemion, and if that I'm pronouncing that wrong, I apologize, but it's H-E-E-Iron, found in red meat and other animal products and risk of type 2 diabetes, as well as metabolic pathways underlying the link. So non-hemie iron found in plant-based foods, I bet it was associated. Nope, it wasn't. Oh, man, I couldn't have guessed that.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Was not associated with the risk of T-2D. So the study suggests that cutting down on hemion from red meat and a doubt, Adopting a plant-rich diet can help lower diabetes risk, and it raises concerns about the addition of hammy to increasingly popular plant-based meat alternatives. So higher intake of the hammy iron, the type found in red meat and other animal products, is going to do you bad, according to this new study
Starting point is 00:09:40 led by researchers at Harvard, T.H. Chan School of Public Health. So there you have it. cut down on your hemiron that comes from meat. And it could be, you know, the reason that you get type 2 diabetes couldn't be all the other stuff that you eat along with the beef. But whatever, that's what the new University of Harvard study claims from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. that the link between hemmy iron and T2D
Starting point is 00:10:22 may have been reported previously, but this study, this study, is more clearly establishing and explaining the link. So, watch out, lay off your red meat
Starting point is 00:10:36 full of that damn hemie iron. I feel like that's a car engine. I don't know. Why, every time I say hemmy iron, I feel like I'm talking about cars, but I'm not. I'm talking about meat. Boarding for flight 246 to Toronto is delayed 50 minutes.

Concerned by your gambling or that if someone close, you call 1866-5-3-1-2-600 or visit So for those of you listening live, today is the 9th of September, 2024. So since we last met, we talked about the Boeing Starliner, possibly being undocked from the ISS and returning to Earth. That has happened. They undocked it this weekend, and it landed on White Sands, New Mexico.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And so whatever alien was on board making those sounds a week ago are now. on Earth. So be prepared for that. Then we have SpaceX who was, they were supposed to launch Polaris Dawn. I don't know. Seems like forever ago. Sometime, sometime last month, for sure. It's been, it's been at least a couple of weeks, maybe longer. And then they said, now we're going to do it Monday, the 9th. And we're going to go. It opens up at 3.30 a.m. Eastern. We're going to do it Monday morning. And then late yesterday, Sunday, they decided, oh, yeah, no. You know what? We're going to do it on Tuesday, the 10th. Yeah. So they keep pushing it back. According to the latest reports, there's two additional additional launch opportunities on Tuesday tomorrow, the 10th of
Starting point is 00:12:49 September, 2024. So the original time is 333 and then, or 338, I think, is the the exact time that they said. And then 523 a.m. and 709 a.m. With backup opportunities available at the same times on Wednesday. So, okay, we'll see if they actually launched the Polaris Dawn mission. And I get why they keep putting it back, pushing it back, because they need weather for it to take off, and they need good weather for it to land,
Starting point is 00:13:18 because they're going to be up there for four or five days, and they're going to spacewalk, and, you know, it'll be kind of cool to see it actually happen. They're going to go up far. than the ISS and it'll be really cool to see but I would like for it to happen let's you know let's get on that I you know everybody that says we're never going to Mars this is the reason why they say we're never going to Mars because of delays like this Elon also said posted on X this weekend that the first starships to Mars will launch in two years when the next earth Mars
Starting point is 00:13:51 transfer windows open hello are you still standing in the line waiting for the Earth Mars transfer windows to open? Yeah, you might as well go home because you've got a couple years yet before they open. These will be uncrewed to test the reliability of landing intact on Mars. And if those landings go well, then the first crude flights to Mars will be in four years. Flight rate will grow exponentially from there
Starting point is 00:14:18 with the goal of building a self-sustaining city in about 20 years. Being multi-planetary will vastly increase. the profitable lifespan, the probable lifespan of consciousness, and we will no longer have all our eggs literally and metabolically on one planet. Okay, well, good luck with that, Elon, because you can't even launch a rocket going up, not going to a planet on time. I mean, I love it.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I'm all four. I love the space program, but we're not ready for prime time. Until we can get in a rocket and go, then we're ready for prime time. You know what I'm saying? I think you do. So then also we have Boeing. We talked about Boeing getting ready for their strike of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. They were getting ready to go on strike.
Starting point is 00:15:11 According to this, they have reached a deal that are going to avoid the end of the week's strike. Okay. So it was supposed to happen, I think on the 12th was the final day of their contract. So now they've reached a deal Now it has to be approved So if the agreement is going to raise the company's 33,000 production workers pay By at least 25% over four years
Starting point is 00:15:37 Wow, they wanted extra more time off to So what I said? It falls short of the 40% Raise the union had called for Yeah, come on, you're not getting 40%. You guys are you're lucky to get 25%. With all the bad press that you're getting And what you've done to that company stop. So in practice, however, wages will increase by an average of 33% due to seniority increases.
Starting point is 00:16:01 A majority of union members must vote to approve the deal for the contract to be ratified. So it hasn't been ratified by the union yet. It's just that the heads of the union and heads of Boeing have said, yep, that's the deal. We're all for it. Let us take it back to our people and get it working. So if it's not ratified, then you still may have a strike on the 12th from the International Association of Machinus. and aerospace workers since 2008. I'm sure they'll tell you that it's not their fault that Boeing is in trouble, but it kind of is.
Starting point is 00:16:32 It kind of is because some of the issues that Boeing has had would seem to me that it was because of an issue with the International Association of Machinos and Aerospace Workers not saying anything. Now, they've had a deal since 2008, which is outdated deal for the unions, no question. but that's the deal that they had in place. And maybe that's why they let things slide that they weren't supposed to at mowing.
Starting point is 00:17:00 And it shows in some of their final products. But what do I know? All right. Let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately. Wow, congratulations to Selena Gomez. That might be just the title of the show today. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:17:24 I mean, we're congratulating people. well over the place today here on chewing the fat. Selena Gomez is officially a billionaire. Good for her. She is estimated to be worth $1.3 billion, making her one of the country's youngest women with a 10-figure fortune. So the publication determined that most of her money,
Starting point is 00:17:47 and that's Business Insider, or Bloomberg, actually, not Business Insider, but it's Bloomberg's Business Insider. her most of her success comes from her makeup and cosmetics brand rare beauty which is available in the united states canada and mexico launched in 2019 selina's 32 now she started acting as a child before starting her musical career and then now she's in only murders in the building which according to this had just signed a contract to renew for season five of only murders and we're two episodes into the latest season of only murders in the building.
Starting point is 00:18:28 Gomez is also supposed to star in a Cannes-winning musical drama, Amelia Perez, which is slated to open and select theaters on November 1st before streaming on Netflix, November 13th. So, congratulations to Selena Gomez. It was going to open in theaters before hitting on Netflix. so it's going to be in theaters for a couple of weeks, then it's going to go to Netflix. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:18:54 I wish that we'd do that with more movies as they release to the theaters. Number one this weekend was Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. $110 million domestic opening. That's pretty darn good. They've got to be happy with that. The second highest September opening ever behind it in 2017,
Starting point is 00:19:15 with, as I said, $123.4 million. I mean, they've got to love that. $110 million. for Beetlejuice. I'm sorry, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Deadpool is still in number two. Reagan number three. Boy, Reagan got five million. So this is like it's what is second weekend. So they're up to 18.5 million. All right. I mean, I don't know what they spend. What do they spend on that stupid movie. So according to this, they spent 25 million was the budget. So if they've only made 18,
Starting point is 00:19:50 $13.5 million on week two. I mean, they're going to break even, and they'll make a little bit of money on this. Plus, they'll get whatever deal they make for streaming after it's in the theaters, because this is the second week, and it dropped 32%. So by next week, it'll be down to 6th or 7th,
Starting point is 00:20:08 and you're going to get up to, I mean, they're going to get up to past budget. Hopefully they'll get to the $25 million market. Once they get there, then whatever money they sell to the streamers. Hopefully they'll make a little bit of money. And then they have Alien Romulus with four. Wow, that's $3.9 million.
Starting point is 00:20:26 That might not be that great a movie. We'll see. 97.2 million domestic, 314 global. 100 million in China. Okay. All right. Good for you. I'm sure their budget was a lot more than $25 million.
Starting point is 00:20:44 So they claim here that their budget on Alien Romulus was $80 million. interesting that's interesting so if they had a budget of 80 million then they're loving they're loving where they're at they've uh they're over a 97.2 in uh the u.s and over 300 and a million globally so that's great okay then the forge which is uh i guess a solid hold for faith-based drama uh twisters uh still hanging on with another 2.25 million it's at uh 264 million domestic. Yeah, sharp drop thanks to Beetlejuice. I don't know what.
Starting point is 00:21:27 It doesn't skive the global for twisters. Blink twice. That's 20 million domestic? Wow. 2.1 million this past weekend. Despicable Me 4. Still doing a little over a million, 1.8 for the weekend. 357.8 million domestic, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And the front room with 1.7. 7 million domestic opening, which is A24's horror film. I guess it stumbles. That was supposed to do a lot better than it did. And that's what you have for the top 10 movies this weekend. If you live in DFW, the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, I see where Yellowstone, I guess still filming, said they're looking for extras. They're looking for, they put out a rush call for extras.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Paramount Network is looking for extras. They're filming in Fort Worth soon. The casting company announced they're looking for extras for a concert scene featuring country singer-songwriter Laney Wilson. So now's your chance. Maybe you can be part of the crowd to be in the front row at the Lainey-Wilson concert or you'll just be stuck in the back and maybe you'll get on screen. Maybe you won't.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Also in Fort Worth, I see where Cole Houser, speaking of Yellowstone, is going to be promoting his new coffee brand, which is why he's stopping in Fort Worth. He wants to hawk his new free rain coffee. And he's taking a bus tour, I guess. And his bus tour is going to stop September 17th in Fort Worth. It's going to be at the Walmart stores. He's going to, well, this tour is for just Walmart stores. Wow, okay, from Texas to Montana. And he's going to be at the Walmart on Airport Freeway,
Starting point is 00:23:26 which is not real far from the Mercury Studios. At Sunrise to greet attendees and sign coffee bags for the first 50 guests. So you got to be at this Walmart at sunrise to meet Cole Houser signing coffee bags. and he's only given away 50? Okay. That's a little chinty. But I guess they're saying there's going to be other fun activities, photo moments and several other surprises.
Starting point is 00:23:59 So just know that you could be there and see Cole. And he's a honk. And I'm sure he'll be happy to see everyone at dawn hawking his coffee that's available, I'm guessing, at Walmart since the tour stop. is at Walmarts. It's hockey season, and you can get anything you need delivered with Uber Eats.

Starting point is 00:25:34 That's the way it works. At Jeffie JFR on Cameo. At Jeffrey JFR on Cameo. Okay. Who died today? Who died today? A couple of people died. Young people died.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Football star Chance Gaynor died from a heart attack during a football. game this past weekend. He collapsed on the field, had no pulse when EMTs got to him, and was pronounced dead at the hospital. You know, they said he had world-class speed. He had a better than a 4.0 grade point. He was, had a bright future ahead.
Starting point is 00:26:16 And yet he died suddenly. Huh? I don't, you know, is it that? Yeah, one could make the case. Then we had a U.S. Air Force. cadet Avery Coontz, who died in her dorm room. 19-year-old was a record-breaking runner, competed with the Academy Track and Field Team.
Starting point is 00:26:39 She was found unconscious, and EMTs were unable to revive her. She was 19. Let's not forget that the United States Air Force Academy requires full vaccinations and boosters. I don't know why I threw that in there. I was just reminding you that that's the case if you're you know uh u.s air force cadet you are probably uh fulfilling the obligation of being fully vaccinated and boosted so is that uh is that what caused her death we don't know we don't know
Starting point is 00:27:16 i'm just throwing it out there so rest in peace to chance gainer uh the 18 year old who uh had heart attack during a football game and rest in peace to Avery Coontz who was found dead in her dorm room at the age of 19 huh so if you're wondering hey man the NFL is charging quite a bit for a hot dog and a beer at their games and you're wondering gee how I wonder why they're doing that well congratulations as an order for DAC press The Scott, the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, he just signed a new deal for $240 million, a $60 million a year deal. And I think, look, it's not all guaranteed. He's the $231 million of the 240 is all that's guaranteed to him.
Starting point is 00:28:17 That makes him the highest paid quarterback in the NFL above Joe Burrow. from Cincinnati, who's getting $55 million. Jordan Love in Green Bay, who's getting $55 million. Trevor Lawrence, who's getting $55 million from the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tua, Taga, Goloia, from, Taga. I never could say his last name. Tegoviloa. I got it. It's to a Tegoviloa. I got it.
Starting point is 00:28:41 The quarterback for the Miami Dolphins at $53.1 million. Jared Gough for the Los Angeles Rams. No, he's for the Detroit Lions. He was traded from the Rams to the Lions, and he won last night in a football Sunday night football game in overtime. Justin Herbert for the San Diego. No, it's not San Diego. It's for the Los Angeles Chargers. $52.5 million.
Starting point is 00:29:09 And Lamar Jackson from Baltimore, the Ravens, $52 million. And Jalen Hertz from Philadelphia gets $51 million a year. It's pretty darn good. Those are pretty good, darn good. Now I will say that, yeah, sure, that's the reason that for a hot dog and beer at the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington Stadium at AT&T is going to cost you $17.98 for a hot dog and beer in Arlington. That's not the most expensive, though. The Seattle Seahawks, it's going to cost you $19. $19.98 for a hot dog and a beer.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Then you have the Rams, who has one of the highest paid quarterbacks. The Los Angeles Chargers is 1949, tied with the Rams, who has one of the highest paid quarterbacks. $19 in Chicago for, well, that's Caleb Williams. I'm sure he's on a rookie contract with a signing bonus, so his next contract will be more than all of the rest of those guys. New Orleans Saints is 1899, the Jaguars highest quarterback, Titan, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Dallas.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Interestingly, they all have, you know, the highest paid quarterbacks in, well, Cincinnati doesn't. Cincinnati's way down the list. You get a hot dog and a beer at Cincinnati for $14. Maybe that's why they don't have a practice facility attached to their stadium. But whatever, I digress, they're fine. But that's one of the reasons that, you know, you're paying a great amount of money for things, including this doesn't even mention the tickets.
Starting point is 00:30:53 This is just talking about beer and hot dog prices at the stadium. It doesn't mention anything about the tickets because those prices are quite exorbitant as well. Then we have Tarek Hill from the Miami Dolphins, probably the fastest guy. in the NFL. Awesome. Tarika's, you know, he's been an awesome player and he was with the Kansas City Chiefs, then went to the Miami Dolphins. And yesterday we saw footage of him being detained on his way to the airport, not to the airport. On his way to the game in Miami.
Starting point is 00:31:36 And he was detained by, I don't know, I saw four or five Miami-dayed police officers, put him in handcuffs for speeding and reckless driving. I don't know if they do that for everyone. It is interesting that they had him in handcuffs. And apparently I did not see in the footage. There was another player who was detained with Tarek that was handcuffed as well. A Dolphins player, Calius Campbell, who said, witnessed the incident, said he was also handcuffed while trying to discuss the situation with officers. So he came up.
Starting point is 00:32:14 That must have been the roles that came up. There were a couple of cars that slowed down and looked like they pulled over. And one was this Rolls-Royce SUV, which I'm pretty sure that's a football player. And he said he was handcuffed while talking to the officers about Tyreek. So I don't know what their deal is. I don't know why he was detained. I know Tariq's had issues. I get it.
Starting point is 00:32:40 But if you're being detained or being pulled over for reckless driving. And what is reckless driving heading to Hard Rock? Not following all the signs slowing down for the signs. It looks like they were in a heavy trafficked area as you get around the stadium. So I'm not sure what the deal is. We'll find out. They said they put the officer on administrative leave. Tarik said he was considering some sort of lawsuit.
Starting point is 00:33:11 The NFL will be looking into it. Tariq's attorneys will be looking at. into it. His manager, Drew Rosenhouse, one of the top managers in the league who has some of the top players. They all find it unacceptable. And I'm sure everything will, I'm sure everything will turn out just fine. It is interesting. Even Tyreek said he didn't want to get into the race thing. He said sometimes it's kind of iffy when you do. But if I wasn't Tyreek Hill, Lord knows what those guys would have did. Yeah, that's a quote from Tyreek. Lord knows what those guys would have did. And that is absolutely a fact. More congratulations are in order to. Speaking of
Starting point is 00:33:52 the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys are no longer the most hated team in the NFL. They dropped all the way down to number two. Yes, the most hated team in the NFL is the team who has won back-to-back Super Bowls and looking to three-peat this year, the Kansas City Chiefs. They are the most hated team in the NFL. So congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs for being the most hated team in the NFL. You have the Cowboys. Then number
Starting point is 00:34:25 three is the Eagles, the Ravens, the Patriots, the Giants, the Giants, the Jets, the Packers, the Steelers, the 49ers, dolphins, bears, Raiders, Bills, Vikings, Rams, Browns, Chargers, Titans, Broncos, Panthers, Saints, Falcons, and Lions. So congratulations to the Kansas Chiefs. You are the most hated team
Starting point is 00:34:42 in the NFL. We may as well stick with the NFL momentarily. More congratulations are in order. That's the title of the show today. Congratulations. Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl. So Super Bowl, L-I-X halftime show, February 9, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana, will be headlining Kendrick Lamar.
Starting point is 00:35:10 This will mark the hip-hop's icon second appearance at the NFL's premiere event, following this performance as a special guest with Dr. Dre's West Coast Hip Hop Showcase in 2022. It's the first time he's headlining and only second time a rapper has taken center stage at the main act. Lamar said in a statement, rap music is still the most impactful genre to date and I'll be there to remind the world why they got that one right. So Kendrick Lamar headlining the 2025 Apple. music Super Bowl LIX halftime show and he couldn't be happier
Starting point is 00:35:50 about it and well me too no really don't look at me like that I am I'm excited for Kendrick I told them I said congratulations this episode is brought to you by Peloton a new era of fitness is here

Peace. So I guess, you know, since the theme of the show is congratulations, although I don't think this is congratulations because one of the largest amber nuggets
Starting point is 00:36:55 in the world valued it over a million dollars has been found in the home of an elderly Romanian woman who unknowingly used it as a doorstop for decades. Yeah, so no, no, congratulations. I mean, it sucks to be her. Weighing 7.7 pounds, the stone was found in a stream in Romania region known for its ambordid deposits, and the nugget went on notice. Apparently, even she had her house broken into once by thieves. I guess they call her, they said jewel thieves but for thieves and uh they didn't even touch the amber nugget that she used as a doorstop uh for years and then uh the woman died and a relative was a cleaning out the house and said hey you know that that might be worth something and uh she sold it to the romanian state
Starting point is 00:37:44 which classified it as a national treasure which means you know good luck she didn't get very she didn't get full full value for that thing uh experts from the museum Museum of History in Krakow, and I love them, confirmed the authenticity of the fossilized resin, estimating it to be between 38.5 and the 70 million years old. The discovery is of great scientific significance, especially given Romania's rich amber history. And so, okay. This lady, he was using it as a doorstop. So, I mean, she's dead now.
Starting point is 00:38:22 So, I mean, what does it mean? Nothing would have had changed anything in her life? You know, who knows? But it is interesting that it was worth a whole bunch of money and she's just using it as a doorstop. So just beware that if you have some old stuff laying around, it may be worth something. You know, like the Ohio family who there's a,
Starting point is 00:38:46 they own a dime that's worth a bunch of money and more than 10 cents, actually. the don't drop it into some kind of some kind of machine because uh and it's been saved for years so three sisters from ohio who apparently inherited this dime have kept it in a bank vault for more than 40 years they knew it had some value but they had no idea just how much it was until a few years ago well why wouldn't you check into it eh whatever they're from ohio the extraordinary rare coin struck by the u.s. mint in san francisco in 197 It depicts Franklin D. Roosevelt, president of Franklin D. Roosevelt, and it's missing S mint mark for San Francisco.
Starting point is 00:39:32 It's one of just two without the mark known to exist. The other one sold at a 2019 auction for $456,000, and then again to a private collector later. So they're hoping, I guess, that this coin could bring 500,000 or more. And, yeah, it could. Now, it doesn't say that they're actually going to sell it, although maybe that's why they know about it and they're talking about it is because they are going to sell it. They're keeping their names.
Starting point is 00:40:02 They don't want to let people know who they are, so they're keeping their names anonymous. So apparently, the brother knew about it and he died. And the brother told someone else about it. the dime the parents who operated a dairy farm big surprise saw the coin as a financial safety net they bought the coin they knew what it was in 1978 uh they bought it for 18,200 dollars that's a lot of money in 1978 they say here it's roughly 90,000 today yeah uh so they were looking at it saying it's a safety net we're going to buy a dime and we're going to keep it in the bank in our you know in our safe
Starting point is 00:40:45 in our lockbox, and we're going to keep it there. So apparently one of the sisters said her brother often talked about the rare coin, but she never saw it firsthand. And then the brother, who has a company in California, reached out and said, hey, you know, we've kept this coin thing a secret. And who knows, if you guys need some money, sits out there or not. So now the coin known as the 1975, no S-proof dime, It's going to be displayed at a coin show beginning.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Oh, they are going to display it at a coin show in Tampa, Florida. And then they're going to auction it off in October. Yeah, so times are so good that this safety net, yeah, we need to get rid of this thing. We could get 500 grand for this dime. Yeah, we need to dump this thing. Okay, if you say so. But good luck, good luck. God bless.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Congratulations on finally finding out that struggle, those struggles you had over. the years could have made a little bit easier had you known about the dime that your parents bought in 1978. All right, let's get out here. I'll leave you with the joke of the day, or at least it's not, it was presented to me as a real story. And I'm going to say, okay, if it is a real story, then you got me. You got me.
