Hello.
Hi.
How are you?
Thanks for coming along for the ride today.
888-903.33 is the phone number.
Brexit.
Yes, you can stamp it on everything you read and watch for quite some time.
Brexit.
Now, 51.9% of the people voted to leave the European Union.
And 48.1% said remain.
That's still a pretty good margin.
17 million, voter to leave, a little over 16 million.
More than a million, over a million voters, said leave the European Union.
There were plenty of protesters.
Plenty of things excited, people excited.
A lot of the protesters chanting no borders, no Boris.
A group of about 30 people gathered to express anger at Britain leaving
the EU out in front of
the parliament
73% of the people under
25 voted to stay
according to some of the polls
60% of the people aged
65 and older
voted to leave
so the younger demonstrators
were upset
that the old people got a voice
in a way I don't feel
it's right for the old people to speak
for us. Not to be insensitive, but we have a lot longer to go than they do. So I do feel a little bit
robbed of my future today. Uh, thank you, Barman, Richie, Xavier 21. Patty Baker 21, this vote was
too close to go through. Older people voted for this, but we are the ones who are going to feel
the ramifications. I'm going to feel the ramifications for the rest of my life. Uh, so are they, Patty.
It was a real shame that the 16 and 17-year-olds were not allowed to vote, as they were in the Scottish referendum.
The older people who voted for this have houses.
What do we have?
Don't take away from us the one thing that protects human rights.
This is really unfair.
Boris Johnson is like British Donald Trump, but he's more clever than Trump.
Now, yesterday our president.
Barack Obama
was at the
entrepreneurs
let me see
I want to make sure I say it's the 2016
Global Entrepreneurship
Summit
in Silicon Valley
and he had this to say
about this few
hours ago I spoke with Prime Minister
David Cameron
David has been an outstanding
friend and partner on the global
stage and based
Based on our conversation, I'm confident that the U.K. is committed to an orderly transition
out of the EU.
We agreed that our economic and financial teams will remain in close contact as we stay focused
on ensuring economic growth and financial stability.
I then spoke to Chancellor Merkel of Germany, and we agreed that the United States and
our European allies will work closely together in the weeks and months ahead.
Really?
I do think that yesterday's vote speaks to the ongoing changes and challenges that are raised
by globalization.
Wait.
But while the U.K.'s relationship with the EU will change, one thing that will not change
is the special relationship that exists between our two nations.
That will endure.
The EU will remain one of our indispensable partners.
Our NATO alliance will remain a cornerstone of global security, and in a few weeks we'll
be meeting in Warsaw for the NATO summit.
And our shared values, including our commitment to democracy and pluralism, and
an opportunity for all people in a globalized world.
That will continue to unite all of us.
Will it?
Because that's a strange comment today because not long ago in Great Britain when you're over there,
you know, flaunting around the country and celebrating the Queen's birthday and all.
And you and David Cameron were on stage together.
You pretty much threatened the people of the United Kingdom to vote.
to vote to stay into the European Union? Or did you forget that? Because we didn't.
Part of being friends is to be honest and to let you know what I think. And speaking honestly,
the outcome of that decision is a matter of deep interest to the United States because it affects
our prospects as well. The United States wants a strong United Kingdom as a partner. And the
United Kingdom is at its best when it's helping to lead a strong Europe. The single market brings
extraordinary economic benefits to the United Kingdom. All of us cherish our sovereignty. My country's
pretty vocal about that. But the U.S. also recognizes that we strengthen our security through our
membership in NATO. We strengthen our prosperity through organizations like the G7 and the G20. And I believe
the UK strengthens both our collective security and prosperity through the EU.
I think it's fair to say that maybe some point down the line there might be a U.K.
U.S. trade agreement, but it's not going to happen anytime soon because our focus is
in negotiating with a big block of the European Union to get a trade agreement done.
Oh.
And U.K. is going to be in the back of the queue.
Not because we don't have a special relationship, but because
given the heavy lift on any trade agreement,
us having access to a big market
with a lot of countries,
rather than trying to do piecemeal trade agreements,
is hugely inefficient.
Really?
Well, that particular statement there was a threat,
and many people in the United Kingdom took it as a threat.
and were quoted in interviews and reports saying that they didn't like it too much.
In fact, who the hell does Barack Obama think he is coming over here telling us what to do?
And that may have pushed that vote right over the edge.
Now, it was, you know, David Cameron, of course, on stage with Barack there, and he was all for it.
He was pushing for the EU.
He was a big fan of the EU.
That's what he wanted.
And so when the vote was finally tallied and the UK voted to leave the EU,
David, who I thought was already planning on being gone in a short period of time.
I guess I was wrong there because he came out almost immediately after the vote and told us he was going to do this.
The British people have made a very clear decision to take a different path.
And as such, I think the country requires fresh leadership to take it in this direction.
I will do everything I can as Prime Minister to steady the ship over the coming weeks and months.
But I do not think it would be right for me to try to be the captain that steers our country to its next destination.
This is not a decision I've taken lightly.
but I do believe it's in the national interest to have a period of stability
and then the new leadership required.
Wow.
What are the odds that he changed his mind before October?
And tells us that the people have, tells us that we, you know,
the people want me back.
The people want me back.
Now, Sir Alan Duncan, former conservative minister and remained supporter, says people should not automatically assume that Boris Johnson will be the favorite to replace David Cameron.
Really?
You told the BBC Radio's For Today program, do not assume he is the darling of conservative party activists.
A lot of them don't necessarily want a permanent ride of the Big Dipper.
He also added that it was wise to delay activating Article 50 to start negotiations for politicians for politicians.
Britain is okay well they just want to be out they want to be gone because EU leaders are
already saying uh Brexit it should be ASAP I'm hoping to talk to uh Peter Bellarby
in London uh and kind of get a feel for uh what's happening in London uh Peter of course runs
a business uh in London proper and uh I'm not sure actually
how he felt about Brexit.
And I'll be fascinated to find out.
And, of course, I mean, Bellerby Globe.
Who doesn't want one of those?
This guy, I've been in love with his work forever.
And I still don't have a Bellerby Globe, but you can go to Bellerby Globe and company.
Oh, man.
Gorgeous.
Gorgeous.
I want one.
Bad.
Anyway, I'm hoping to talk to Peter here in a little bit, and we'll get a word of a feel on what
you know, how he felt in London and what people are saying in London, you know, to other
Londoners, not just, you know, when someone's sticking a mic into their face.
But the EU leaders, they say, you know what, get out.
The leaders want the United Kingdom to leave ASAP.
And they're already meeting.
The top diplomats have already struggling to get together.
The six founding nations.
meeting in Berlin today.
And they also said, hey, time to listen to each other,
find out what the other 27 remaining EU countries wanted for the future of the union.
Right.
Like, we want to leave too, and you suck.
And we're sick of you.
We're sick of giving money to you and getting nothing for it, that kind of thing.
But he also stressed that EU politicians also need to listen to the expectations of the people.
Yes, they do.
if they cared at all.
If they really cared, they would.
Now, the British pound fell 11%,
which was a 31-year low.
U.S. stock market suffered.
Now the pound rose a little bit so far today.
The City of London Corporation,
an organization that represents the U.K.'s financial services industry,
said,
the city of London has thrived as a financial and trading center for more than a thousand years and will continue to do so.
Of course, that's what they're going to say, though, right?
There will be no mass exit of banks and financial institutions from the square mile.
Well, there will be uncertainty as Brexit negotiations go on.
We are still the financial center of the fifth largest economy in the world.
So they're very, I mean, that's obviously, you know, toe the line.
everything's fine.
Don't worry about it.
Seriously, don't worry about it.
Now, we've interviewed some of the people.
One of the stories on The Blaze
that they talked about his video
going viral being interviewed,
he stated he didn't think his vote was going to matter.
I think that was because who did, I mean, I felt
that way too. I felt, you know, the fixes in, they're going to stay.
It doesn't matter. They're not going to
let. And I know that's a little conspiracy. I got it.
I got it.
I understand.
But I just kind of felt like no way.
No way they let the people vote to get out of the European Union.
And just like this man, Adam, he didn't think his vote was going to matter.
And he worried about its ramifications.
I'm a bit shocked, he said.
I'm shocked that we actually have voted to leave.
I didn't think it was going to happen, right?
My vote, I didn't think it was going to matter much because I thought we were just going to remain.
I was blown away by David Cameron's resignation.
Don't worry, he'll come back.
He'll decide to come back.
You know your people want him.
He's heard from the people.
And I think a period of uncertainty and we're going to have for the next couple of months has just been magnified.
So he's a little worried about the ramifications of the vote.
Yeah, I mean, I think, you know, look, the ramifications, good.
United Kingdom will be fine.
They've been a world leader forever.
And I'm trying to think, what happened to the United Kingdom when they ruled us?
Oh, that's right.
We told them to go get bent and fought them in a war over it.
And they, did they end up okay after that?
Oh, you know what?
I think they did.
They still survived, and we survived even stronger.
So, I know you're still a little worried about the future, but I think we'll be fine.
All you people that were for it, you know, Barack with his written statement and, of course, his little, hey, we're all still friends at the Entrepreneur Summit.
And Hillary, that wanted to be, you know, big globalization, European Union, she needed to stay calm and steady, experience leadership in the White House to protect Americans.
Uh-huh.
We respect the choice of the people of the United Kingdom.
Uh-huh.
Right.
I'm sure you do.
Don't you?
Uh-huh.
You sure do.
Now, there was a fascinating,
fascinating report by Christine Aminpoor.
Now, she is actually almost at the top of the agonizing list.
but you've got to hear this.
I'll play it for you on the other side of the break
because
this is an example of why
people want to break away from the European Union.
And I just don't think she gets it.
I just don't think she gets it.

Christine Aminpour reported on the Brexit vote with her report, and it is riveting.
Christine?
A lot of these leave movements are led by the hard, right, very, very xenophobic, anti-immigrant, very populist, nationalist, white identity politics.
They thought Nigel Farage was too toxic.
And in fact, they have been livid at his posters and the xenophobia and the anti-immigration and the sort of poisonous divisions.
If you look at the latest cover of the economist, and of course another one will be coming out tomorrow.
But the economist, which is one of the preeminent economic and political magazines in the world, has written divided before.
This is just before this vote.
And it's also said that this victory for which Nigel Farage, the anti-euvre, the anti-eastern,
immigrant, xenophobic leader of the UK independence party who forced this referendum on
Prime Minister Cameron, he is now the spokesman and the face of this victory. And what we're hearing
certainly from people who are worried precisely about this is that they feel that this marks a victory
for the kind of economic nationalism, to quote this article here, for the kind of xenophobia
that were in peril, the liberal world order. Really, the economic nationalism of the United
and stability since World War II.
And so Europe also is concerned that this is going to have a run on their banks, so to speak, in terms of politically.
Right.
And that their anti-establishment, populist, nationalists, and in many cases, xenophobic parties will also get huge wind from this and try to spin off as well.
That is a worst-case scenario that people are incredibly afraid of at this point.
She is agonizing.
agonizing.
All right.
So, Christine,
the anti-immigration people
aren't really anti-immigration,
kind of like here in the United States.
We just don't want them shove down our throats.
You mean like the people that would come into the European Union,
I don't know, into Germany.
And then once they get papers in Germany,
because the United Kingdom is part of the European Union,
The United Kingdom has to take them.
You mean those type of immigrants?
Yeah, that makes people bad.
And to quote Nigel Farage,
I now dare to dream that the dawn is coming
on an independent United Kingdom.
Think about it.
The Jeff Fisher Show, the Blaze Radio Network.
Fisher Show on the Blaze Radio Network.
Welcome to it.
888-903-303 is the phone number.
Still talking a little bit of Brexit.
Jonathan Dunn, who does a podcast for us here on The Blaze Radio Network,
the blaze.com slash radio,
Freedom's Disciple.
From what silly country are you from again?
I think it's Ireland, is it?
Aren't you guys getting ready to vote?
You're going to break away from the United Kingdom now for sure, right?
Well, we're not part of the United Kingdom.
Well, but you're part of the Union.
Absolutely. We're part of the wonderful, wonderful European Union.
And you want out now. I don't think Irish people do. I don't think Irish people do. They love the socialism too much. They love the big government.
Wow. Because I was reading. People want to get out of Ireland. Yeah, well, that makes sense. I mean, are they, seriously, I read some articles this morning where, now, obviously, I know there's going to be articles on both sides of the fence. But I read some articles this morning that talked about them wanting to get the,
the vote up and to get out.
Oh, that's Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland will eventually hold a referendum to leave Britain.
And, you know, I love, I try and understand people's logic.
For the life of me, and I live over here, I cannot understand the Scottish and the Northern
Ireland people.
They want to have this big referendum because they want to be free from Britain.
And if you believe the politicians, they want to be free from Britain.
And the first act as a free nation is to go and join a bigger government than even Britain.
it makes no sense to me
I'm flabbergasted by it
what do you
do you think that they will vote for it this time
absolutely
Scottish Scottish
Scottish absolutely
and they know whether you
dislike England or whether you just want to be part of
Europe they will leave
and it's just a matter of where
when they call it and how long if Britain wants to put it off
and Northern Ireland's
it depends on the demographics
If the Northern Ireland people who want to United Ireland have a very simple battle plan
and it's basically to outproduce the Protestants,
which the Catholics are doing a pretty good job of.
And the minute they get to a point where they feel it's 50% plus one person,
they'll call a referendum.
It's a very simple battle plan and they make it known to everyone.
But also with this, you might have some people,
because the interesting thing about debris eggs,
if not to get all boring and to break down the numbers,
was the absolute collapse of the Labour votes.
So you might actually have some unionists to go,
actually, I want to be part of Europe,
so I will support an independent referendum.
So that might, they might need to just be all for United Ireland.
It might be a case just to join Euro,
and then they get their independence from Britain.
So it's going to open a lot of, it's going to be interesting politics-wise
for the next year, two years, three years, five years down the road.
Yeah. What are the odds you think that David Cameron decides, you know what? I said I was going to step down, but you know what, no. I've talked to the people and they want me to stay.
I think he don't. Because if you, when the last election happened last May, he said he was going to go after year three or year four anyway.
That's what I thought, right? That's what I thought. He was already saying he was going to go.
Yeah, he said this is my last term in charge.
If you give it to me, I'll set the country up and then,
when I tell you the time is right, I'll sit aside,
let a person have, you know, six, 12 months, 18 months of been prime minister,
and then let him bring the Tories into, you know, election battle.
Right.
There is a skeptical side.
I was very, I was on radio yesterday,
and I was very complimentary David Cameron because it was so humble.
It was so nice to see someone who I personally disagree with all day, every day.
but, you know, to hand it over.
However, I've become skeptical overnight
because I've watched the media over here in Europe
for 24 hours now.
And not one person is speaking about Britain leaving.
They mention it, but it's all about who's going to lead to Tories.
Should Jeremy Corbyn step aside or, you know, is he going to have a battle?
Or, you know, who's going to be the next?
Is it going to be Boris Johnson?
Is it going to be Michael Goh.
Right.
And it's not about actually leaving.
So there's a skeptical part of me because I've been around politics
too long. It's now kind of thinking, was this
and all play just to not get them to talk
about Article 50, about the result?
Because they lost. Now just talk about politics
and that business is normal.
I don't know.
What is it that Article 50
does for you?
Article 50 is basically the
constitutional amendment that they invoke
to leave Europe. And then you start
the legal process of
if it's David Cameron, but
if he stands through his word, it won't be him
invoking it. It'll be the new prime minister
over who that is, going to Europe and saying
let's negotiate.
But it's just, I don't know,
maybe I'm skeptical, maybe I'm too around
politics too much.
It's just kind of, the media
is not talking about the actual significance.
And I think this is where the
people have such a role to play of
this is a great win for freedom.
But if you are a freedom
loving person, you know,
freedom doesn't stop at a country's boundary.
This is why I think America
reading, this should be a wake-up call to America
to say, this is a win
for freedom. If you're a freedom-loving
person in America, you haven't had a lot of wins.
Take it in and joyous.
But then also understand that
freedom doesn't, you know, a country-winning
freedom, it's grace, but it's not the end
game. The end game is to make sure that
freedom goes to the people and to the
individual. Because here's the sad thing.
Yesterday, Britain was a
socialist nation. Today,
Britain is a socialist nation.
Right. And for the future is
a socialist nation. So this is where we have to go.
Well, they said it's going to be, I mean, they said, originally they were talking about two
years, and now they're having, they had their special meeting today with the special,
the first top six of the European Union. I mean, they want, they're claiming that they
want the United Kingdom out, ASAP. So, I mean, I'm going to hear a lot of reports.
You're going to hear a lot of reports. It takes, I don't know, the legal side,
of it, but it takes two years from the minute they invoke Article 50.
What I would say they're trying to say is they don't, because the leave side yesterday was
talking about 2020 as the day they'll officially leave because of the two years.
And that means for that to happen, they're going to wait 18 months for or to invoke Article 50.
What I think Britain is probably saying to them is, no, you're not going to hold on.
You're going to invoke it as soon as possible.
I think it will be a mistake because you've got momentum on your side now to leave.
wait get David Cameron out get someone in there who clearly you know it's not some you don't want someone who wanted to stay negotiating you're leaving it just doesn't work that way and so you get that person in get them do it and invoke article 50 as soon as possible make that your agenda and get the best deal that you possibly can't but it isn't going to be as bad sorry no I'm just I'm agreeing no kidding that it needs to happen I wasn't thinking about uh I thought I didn't realize that we had to go through
through another step to, you know, get the process going after the vote, which is
kind of agonizing.
I mean, it should have already started.
And we voted to leave.
Let's already start this.
To invoke this.
Now we have to wait for the invoking ceremony.
No.
Come on now.
Come on.
Let's go.
Yeah.
But it's also going to, it will take this, this won't happen overnight because, you know,
even just look at Ireland as a country.
Ireland is divided.
You've got the 26 southern counties where I'm from, and you've got Northern.
Ireland, which is part of the union, even just the little parts of you're going to have to now
put a border around the counties where a person like me who's Irish can't go into Northern Ireland,
you know, there's going to have to be a check and, you know, security checks. So you've got the
logistics, you know, you've got to hire people, you've got to what boundary do you want, do you want
to that checkpoints on main roads, you know, you got all that logistics. So there's going to be a lot
of that. And then especially, you know, if over the next year or two years, I don't know how
patient Nicholas Sturgeon, the Scottish MP, the head of Scotland is going to be,
from her comments on publicly, she's not going to be confident.
She's going to want one for independence in the next couple of months.
If they vote to leave, then you're going to have a whole other set of borders.
So there is a lot of logistics that need to take place, and they're going to have to be done right,
especially when you consider that one of the biggest parts of the pre-exit was they don't want
the free movement of people.
So the border part alone is going to have to be really key.
and how do you do with the channel so long?
You know, you're going to have, there's going to be a lot of questions to be asked.
But they're not that big a question because the same standard is going to apply for someone
like you, you know, an American coming over.
It's just going to be, well, if you're Irish or European, you're going to have to go through
a similar process as Americans do or an Asian or an Australian.
So it's not going to be as big a deal, but you just want to make sure it's done right.
Well, I was under the impression that part of, I mean, the big deal wasn't, and obviously
this now stops it.
But I didn't, I wasn't sure that they were talking a few, well, I guess they still left
to have the checkpoints.
I'm working it out in my head now, what you're saying.
And it makes, you know, all the sense in the world that they're going to have to do that
because one of the things that they were talking about and made a big deal about is that
the problem was is that when, you know, one of the big countries, say, Germany invites
all these immigrants in.
And then once they rubber stamp them, they can travel any.
anywhere in the union.
And so, you know, you have, so the United Kingdom has to accept the immigrants once they go
through, you know, once they're in and rubber stamped, which was the big problem, which
was why, you know, Christine Amunpur, things were, you know, a xenophobic world and we hate
everyone and we don't want anyone around.
Yeah, well, I think you have a responsibility to your people.
Like, just the logistics, like, let's forget the race side.
Let's just use someone like me.
I'm Irish.
you know, if I decide tomorrow, hey, I just don't like Ireland, I want to go live in France.
You know, and if, you know, do I then have an automatically right over a French person to have a job?
Now, if I want to apply or should I apply and say, hey, France, I really like you.
I don't like Ireland.
I want to go live there now and work there for a year, two years, five years, ten years, or set up my life there.
Does France have a right to say, actually, no, John, we don't like you.
Whether that's true they do.
Politics?
Yeah.
And that's the big thing.
Europe says no.
You have to go anywhere.
Right.
I can wait up in the morning and go to France, Germany, Poland, England.
I mean, you and I agree that to each country has that right.
I mean, that's the point of having your country.
You know, we can say, hey, I want to go there.
I want to be there.
I want to be a part of your country.
Hey, you know what?
No.
Not now.
Absolutely.
If you go from a legal point of view, it's one of the oldest laws known to man to state sovereignty.
You know, the right to be secure in your borders and to, you know, to control the influx of immigrants.
And that is a right that your country has.
And it's not a bad thing.
You know, if you want to accept, you know, if your country has a deficit of lawyers,
of, you know, workers, you know, the John McCain, you know, the people who pick lettuce,
you can bring those people in.
And it's your right to say, hey, we only need you to pick lettuce for six months.
You can come for that six months and then go home and then come back in another six months.
Or we need you forever.
You know, we need you because you're an astronaut or you're a famous doctor or whatever it is.
But it's your country's right to say, yes, no, maybe.
And hey, I should be arguing for open borders.
I've waited 12 years, longer than 12 years to get into your country.
I fully respect the right of the American people and say, hey, John.
What the heck is it deal with that, by the way?
Let's stop for just a second and talk about that.
Or I'd like to stop down for just a minute and talk about that.
What the hell is the problem?
Simply getting a full-time paying job and someone to say,
hey, I like you, I'm going to give you a visa.
Come on now, can't you just come into the country and forget to leave?
Everybody else does.
No, because I, number one, would be a hypocrite.
And too, because I actually love your country.
I didn't say that you, I didn't say do it on purpose.
I just said, forget to leave.
It's not, you wouldn't be a hypocrite.
Just forget.
Oh, my bad.
Yeah, I know, I get all I get this.
And then the other one I get, which is always hilarious, is, always hilarious, is,
Why don't you just marry some girl?
And I'm kind of going, it's not that easy.
It's because you can get to the...
Oh, my gosh.
Yes, it is.
I can take care of that.
I wish I'd do that one part of the problem.
Yes, it is.
Oh, my gosh.
Jonathan, you and I are going to talk a little bit later on.
We're going to talk off the air, but I got you take covered.
Don't you worry about that.
Jonathan, thank you very much, man.
I appreciate it.

So you're welcome.
I didn't get a chance to get through to Peter Bellery in London, and I know Peter's a busy man,
so I will hook up with him again to find out because he is actually right in London,
and I wanted to kind of get a feel of what's happening in London.
London, but this will go on for quite some time now. And I hadn't thought about what Jonathan
Dunn said is, is the milking of the Article 50, the resolution, where they have to actually now
make it happen. Oh my gosh. The milk it now forever. I would get to it. Yeah, we know you voted.
We know that's what you voted for, but we know better. I mean, that's kind of agonizing.
They need to hop sing on that immediately.
Now, yesterday Donald Trump was at his new golf course
and in Scotland, and he had some great things to say.
And man, he was just riveting.
And I wish I could go and play the entire press conference.
So it was so good because he said so much.
Like the impact of taking operation here in Britain,
The markets are right.
Well, nobody knows.
Look, if the pound goes down, they're going to do more business.
You know, when the pound goes down, more people are coming to Turnberry, frankly,
and the pound has gone down.
And let's see what the impact of that is.
But I think places like Scotland and England and different places in Great Britain,
I think you're going to see a lot, a lot of activity.
Man, can I not wait until he's in charge?
Wow.
He is going to be great.

So this never printed?
What?
Hello.
Welcome to the broadcast.
This is the Jeff Fisher on the Blaze Radio Network.
So I wanted to talk a little bit about robots.
You know how much I love robots.
I mean, seriously, I am ready to be served by a robot.
I want a robot to wait on me.
I don't want to have to wait for, you know, another human.
I don't want to have to get up myself.
I want a robot doing it for me.
Well, Google has worried about artificial intelligence.
Of course they are.
They're worried that they're not going to be the front leaders.
they want to be out in front.
And they have a research paper entitled Concrete Problems in A.I. Safety.
Huh.
I know what those problems would be.
Let's see.
Avoiding negative side effects.
How do you stop a robot from knocking over a bookcase in its zealous quest to Hoover the floor?
Avoiding reward hacking.
If a robot is programmed to enjoy cleaning a room, how do you stop it from messing up the place just so it can feel the place?
of cleaning it again.
Scalable oversight.
How much decision-making do you give the robot?
Does it need to ask you every time it moves an object to clean your room?
Or only if it's moving that special vest that you keep under the bed or never put flowers in for some reason?
Safe exploration.
How do you teach a robot the limits of its curiosity?
Google's researchers give the example of a robot that's learning where it's allowed to mop.
How do you let it know that mopping new floors is fine, but that it shouldn't stick to the mop in an electrical socket?
electrical socket.
Robustness to
distributional shift. How do you
make sure robots respect
the space they're in?
A cleaning robot
let loose in your bedroom will act differently
than one that is sweeping up in a factory.
But how is it supposed to know the difference?
Good,
great questions.
Right? Seriously.
Good questions.
Now, it's not, you know, it's not
I-Robot laws. Remember the three laws. And actually, Isaac Asimov has like 30 laws that he wrote for robots. Some of them, you know, kind of funny and kind of not. But the three from I-Robot that ever remembers is a robot may not injure a human being or through an action allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law. And three, a robot. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the first law.
and three, a robot must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second law.
And, of course, that was one of the things in the movie, right?
I mean, he was, you know, Will Smith had the robotic arm, but he was, didn't like the robots.
And he didn't like them because they didn't have the moral or the thought process to when there was a crash.
she was involved in. There was a little girl
and there was him.
And the robot dove in and
saved him instead of the little girl
because the robot looked and said
the little girl has less of a chance to survive
than the man. So I'm going
to save the man because the man has more
of a chance to survive. Where a human
that wouldn't matter.
I mean, every human, even
every guy, including Will Smith
in the movie obviously, would say
save the kid.
Save the kid.
And the robots would tell you, yeah, that'd be great.
We could save the kid, but no.
The kid didn't have a chance to survive.
You did.
And we wanted to save you.
Well, we've got robots working, and as I was saying, didn't print because I've got some stuff that I printed out about a robot in Russia.
Caused an unusual traffic jam after it escaped from the research.
Search Lab.
The artificially intelligent bot is making headlines again after reportedly tried to flee a second time from the Russian lab dubbed PromoBot.
All right.
Good for him.
I got to get out of here.
I'm out.
We also had the first robot suicide.
Wait.
What?
Yep.
A cleaning robot.
committed suicide by climbing onto a kitchen hot plate where it was burned to death.
According to local reports,
I-Robot, Rumba 760 Robot, is thought to have rebelled against its chores and decided enough was enough.
Really funny.
Not funny at all.
What are you laughing at suicide?
Yes.
I don't know about the allegations.
of robot suicide, but the homeowner is an assistant, but the device was switched off.
So we do have our first report of robot suicide.
Now, we do have a robot also that we're, and probably more than one, actually,
tons of them, but they're already starting, we know we have, we know we're farther along
than what they're telling us, right?
So they're telling us we have an intelligent robot that remembers and learns.
And that's the one that's escaping from the lab.
So now we've set the groundwork for, hey, yeah, it's getting out, but it really isn't hurting anything.
It's escaping and it's escaping because it's learning.
And we want it to learn and it's escaping and it hasn't hurt anything and you're fine.
Don't worry about it.
Right?
Right.
Right. Of course. What could possibly go wrong? I've never seen the movies before.
Movies aren't real life, Jeff. Uh-huh. Now, we also have robots allowed to trade money, claim copyrights. They're already using them for that.
So we're getting used to robots in our life. And we're all getting used to the robots in our life that look like.
like robots. Don't forget.
We want robots in our lives
that look like robots so we don't get all freaked
out because we want to be sure
that they're robots
and we're humans.
So it's okay.
Don't you worry about it?
As long as you look
like a robot.
You look like a human.
Something is wrong.
Right? Because
have you seen the movie?
I'm going to say this wrong
and everybody's going to holler at me and say
don't you know how to pronounce the stupid movie?
And I'm going to say, I did pronounce it.
That's the way I pronounce it.
But I guess it's wrong.
X.
Now, I've heard it, machina, but it's not machina, is it?
It's X.
I'm not even going to try.
See, in my ear, I hear, what is it?
Machina, right?
X, machina.
Okay.
See, that's wrong.
I don't care if they tell me it's right.
It's not wrong.
Fantastic movie, though.
And we made the robots look like humans.
Right?
So you know, and some of those in there, you get the idea that, you know, as the process went on,
you saw the ones that weren't quite right.
But they finally got it right where you can't tell.
You can't really tell.
And I'm sure.
I mean, we left it so we could have, what is it again?
Machina, ex machina.
Ex machina, too.
Yeah, they left it so we'll be ready for that.
I'm sure that's already being made.
Although we haven't heard about it.
But I'm sure it already is.
Don't kid yourself.
But I'm still concerned about what Google is worried about.
Because really, what they're really talking about if you think about it.
I mean, they want you to worry about the key problems, and they're worrying about it for you.
But really what they're concerned about is the robots just don't start killing us, right?
I mean, that's the main concern is they just don't start killing us.
You know, avoiding the – and when you talk about a negative side effects,
how do you stop a robot from knocking over a bookcase?
Yeah, and how do you stop the robot from knocking over the bookcase?
I don't know.
On you.
Good question.
Scalable oversight.
Uh-huh.
scalable oversight.
I love the way that sounds.
Scalable oversight.
Uh-huh.
So we've got quite a ways to go.
But we're almost there.
We're almost there.
And so many cars are close to being driverless.
Now, we have cars advertising that through driverless,
and you can push the driverless feature.
and they're pretty good, but they're not perfect.
Because you still have to be alert enough to grab the wheel when it gets confused.
You know, that scalable oversight.
Oh, no, a curve.
You better take the wheel or I'm going to crash.
So if you fall asleep, forget it.
You're crashing.
I want to be able to just sleep.
Push the button.
Home.
Go sleep.
When we get to that, and my friends, we're living large.

Anybody know what Opelker gave away on his show today?
Because I understood, I heard, and I wish I knew what it was,
because I miss being able to promote what he's giving away.
So I've got what I'm going to have to do is get ahead
so that I can promote on this show what he's giving away next week
and just be a precursor, you know, be out in front of what he's giving away next week.
Because I heard in the break room earlier this week,
I heard him talking to somebody.
He was going to give away the Pure O'Pelka salt and pepper shakers,
but they were going to be, you know, LGBT compliant.
They just both looked the same.
It wouldn't matter which one you used.
That's what I heard, though.
It's all I heard.
It's the Jeff Fisher Show on the Blaze Radio Network.
You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show.
The Blaze Radio Network.
The Jeff Fisher Show.
That it is.
9-00-33-93 is the phone number.
Some tremendous news I'm going to be sharing with you after the bottom of the hour.
I might even share it with you.
I'm so excited right now.
I may share it with you before then because it is absolutely, absolutely exciting news.
And I am very, very happy.
But one of the things that we can concern ourselves with about driverless cars,
as we were talking about just a few minutes ago, is that we should.
still are going to have to make sure that they're manufactured
properly. Now my in-laws, my mother-in-law
owns a Mercedes-Benz.
A little two-seater, nice
little thing, and I, you know,
sure, I mean, I hate driving
the thing, but I do just to, you know,
make her happy.
But they have a recall
going on now. And the recall
is fascinating to me because this is how much
they care about you and how much they're following
the law, and they're sending you the letter
about the recall, okay?
I mean, they care about
you. This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and
Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Oh, so they're being forced to do this, yes. The Mercedes-Benz vehicle
mentioned above are equipped with driver-side airbags provided by Takata. Now, remember,
we talked, I don't know, a while ago about the millions of cars being recalled because of the
Takata airbags. Huh, there are the Mercedes-2. During normal airbag deployment under certain circumstances,
says the driver-side airbag inflator housing in your vehicle may rupture due to excessive internal pressure.
The condition is more likely to occur if your vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity or extended periods of time.
That's good because this particular car has only been in Florida and Texas.
No problem with humidity or heat in Florida, in Texas.
A driver-side inflator rupture during deployment could result.
Could.
And I emphasize could.
result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants,
possibly causing serious injury or death.
It could happen.
You know, if the driver's side inflator ruptured.
Could happen.
I mean, it's happened before in other cars and other airbag,
uh, airbags that took off that, uh, that, uh, that, uh, that, that, uh, that, that, uh, that, that, uh, that, that, uh, that,
as they inflated.
In fact, we had reports where the one lady said it looked like she'd been in a war zone.
So it could happen.
And I love the possibly causing serious injury or death.
Now, this is how serious, this is how serious that they're taking them,
that Mercedes is taking this.
And I'm proud of them for taking such a stand.
As soon as a suitable replacement part is tested and available for your vehicles,
driver-side airbag, we'll send you a second letter,
notified to bring your vehicle into your local authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to have this work done
free of charge.
Until this time, there's no action required in your part.
Oh, oh, thank you.
Mercedes, thank you so much for that.
I appreciate it.
Oh, that's good.
That is good.
Hey, if something happens, we warned you.
They warn you.
Don't worry about it.
I mean, we told you that if the driver's side inflated rupture during employment could result in metal fragment striking the driver or some other occupants,
could, could possibly causing serious injury or death.
But we're very concerned about you because as soon as a suitable replacement part is tested and available for your vehicles,
driver's side airbag, look, we'll send you another letter and you can bring it in and we'll replace it for free.
I got news for you.
A, they might replace that thing for free,
but you don't drive past a Mercedes dealership
in your Mercedes without being charged money.
I mean, I personally believe,
and I don't know this to be true,
but I personally believe that Mercedes dealerships
have a scanner that is like a little satellite
outside their building, and when a Mercedes drives by,
boop, to your account they charge you.
Boop.
We're charging you because we're checking to make sure everything is working properly on your Mercedes.
And this is a great money-making idea for you, Mercedes, so you're welcome.
But you should be doing this.
So that when the Mercedes bend, you put the little chip in the Mercedes.
So when they drive by your place, boop, and it scans to make sure everything's working right.
And if everything's not working right, boop.
Ooh, they send you an alert to your email, your text, or whatever you have on file.
You need an oil change.
That will be $852.42.
No one else but an authorized Mercedes dealer can work on your car.
You're driving with low air in your tires.
Please bring it in, or we'll disable your car.
That will be $322.
Would you like to donate money to a cause?
But as soon as a suitable replacement part is tested and available for your vehicle's driver's side airbag,
don't you worry
we're going to send you a second letter
and then
then we're going to tell you
hey bring it in
to your local authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer
and we're going to let you have the work done
of course free of charge
I mean
don't you worry about it
you can check out the recall
or call the company and find out everything's okay
but why would you do that
because really right now
there's no action required on your part.
Don't worry about it.
Nothing needs to be done.
You're okay.
I mean, I would think maybe we could bring it in and disable it.
Sign a waiver saying it's disabled.
I'm willing to sign that waiver and be driving without that airbag
instead of taking a chance of being war-raged shrapnel in my face in an accident.
but that's just me.
I'm saying disable that bad boy.
Okay?
But no action is required on your part right now.
Don't you worry about it?
So until we get something like this,
those driverless cars,
maybe not so much.
Maybe we're not as close as we think.
We're a little bit farther away than we think.
But right now, don't you worry about it?
Listen, if you get an accident
that shrapnel shoots out and blast your face apart,
you know, we're sorry, we told you.
We told you.
We haven't had a suitable replacement part
testing it available for your vehicle yet.
So, hey, sorry.
This is the Jeff Fisher Show.
Only on the Blaze Radio Network.
Fisher Show.
Welcome to it.
888-90-33 is the phone number.
Some tremendous news.
exciting, exciting news I have for you before we end this show today.
I mean, I have now read this article twice, and if it's not true, I am going to be devastated, because it is tremendous news.
But first, before we go to the tremendous news, we always hear what's happening.
every time we hear a weird story and we say, what are the odds that it's happened in Florida?
Uh-huh.
Like 99.9% of the time it's from Florida.
I lived in Florida for a long time, and that's absolutely true.
And so I have a friend of mine who runs a website called Chuck in Florida.
And Chuck is on with us now, and he travels around Florida a whole bunch and does his little movie thing,
whatever the heck he does.
And I wanted him to start commenting a little bit on some of the weird stories that happen in Florida.
So I don't have to because I'm lazy.
So Chuck, how are you, sir?
Greetings, Jeffie.
How are you, sir?
Very good, very good.
Thank you.
So, and your travels in Florida this past, you know, well, since this is the first time,
and we can go back for your entire life.
We'll say like the last week.
You know, what's happened?
What's going on?
What are you doing?
Florida.
Gosh, what can't you say great about Florida?
Thank you.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know, all the nut jobs that seem to make residents down here or, you know.
Where do you live again?
Rarely and then move to Texas, you know.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Yeah, the latest from Florida has to be my favorite story of the week is a Melbourne man.
apparently was sampling a new variant of the zombie face-eating drug that we remember called bath salts.
Remember the whole thing down in South Florida?
Yes, yes.
That was an interesting story about what, a year and a half, two years ago,
the guy that ate his friend's face while they were both playing around with this really interesting variant of bath salts.
There's a new version of that out there, and apparently it's called Flacka.
I don't know what that stands for.
It's very strange, but Flacca is a new variant of basalt that's making the rage all through Florida, apparently.
Melbourne is a small town, not far from Orlando.
And this gentleman who was on this drug started running around the neighborhood naked,
exclaiming that he was God, and then decided to have, shall we say, relations with a palm tree.
I kid you not.
Man, I got to tell you, first of all, that's a rough tree to pick.
Of all the trees in Florida.
Man, you are hurting yourself with the palm tree.
Yes, that is not a fun one that I wouldn't be my first choice.
Let's just say if I was on the black eye.
Don't think I would go there first.
There's a lot better trees than a palm tree.
Go ahead.
I'm sorry.
So he's decided that he's God and he's going to make love to a palm tree.
Yes, well, you know, I think there may have been other, you know, floor involved.
I'm not sure, but nonetheless, the cops were called out.
And the gentleman that showed up to speak to this guy, they made themselves known who they were and why they were there.
And I guess he didn't take too kindly to being interrupted.
So he proceeded to attack the police.
And that's always a bad idea, by the way.
Just as a suggestion, you know, when you're...
engaged in relations with various things, don't attack the police officers.
They don't like that too much.
Was he supposed to ask him to hop in?
Well, you know, I don't know about tree threason's.
How does that work?
You know, this is not something I've studied in Florida.
If I have to explain that to you, Chuck, seriously, I have to explain that to it.
I'm sorry.
You may have to explain it to me because I don't think there's anything I could read or research on that.
So anyway, I'm still with me?
I'm sorry.
I can't get past the visual image in my head of a threesome with a tree.
That's just, I got stuck there for a moment.
I'll be right back in him in a second.
So the cops who were called out, of course, and they have to tase the guy.
They put a couple of electrodes in them and spark them up.
And, you know, I guess he didn't take too kindly to that either.
But he sort of had some sort of transformation.
after that. I think the guy actually got some real superhero origin moments out of that because
he didn't just fall down and start writhing in pain like most people do. He proceeded to rip the
badge off of one of the police officers and start stabbing them with it. This takes a lot of effort
when you're, you know, pulsating 10,000 volts through your veins. I'm impressed by this flack if nothing else.
the ability to withstand that kind of punishment.
So our guy here that, I didn't get his name,
I don't know if it wasn't in the police report,
but I got to tell you, there's an awesome picture on the website.
He continues to fight back,
and they taste him a second time.
Now he's really had enough,
and apparently that was all the surge he needed.
He's now convinced he's the mighty Thor
and starts wielding the badge like Captain America's shield and start, you know, trying to stab at these officers some more.
And I guess they finally subdued him and put them in jail.
But that's one hell of an effort, you know.
I got to tell you.
That's a pretty amazing feat for a guy on drugs.
First of all, I mean, that shows amazing restraint by our police officers.
Melbourne police, I'm telling you that shows because I believe after the first days,
and I'm questioning myself even up to the first tase.
After the first tays, he's still coming.
I am putting him down.
Done.
I am putting him down.
There's going to be some sort of a bullet work on his body.
So the whole tase, that shows amazing restraint.
Well, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office actually had a spokesman address this,
and Lieutenant Dan Zadico was talking about it and said,
on a scale of 1 to 10, Flaca is a solid 12.
That's something to consider.
So, I mean, you're right.
With all this surging through this guy's veins and the extra, you know,
electricity and whatever transformation he may have had,
I don't see how they didn't plug him.
I know.
But, you know, he went around thinking he was God,
yet Flacka is titled The Devil's Drug.
Did you know that?
Well, it's maybe one of those false gods.
I guess.
It's very possible.
He did say Thor was his, you know, his last choice in all this.
He went to the mighty Thor.
So I'm thinking the guy was convinced he was some sort of at least lesser deity.
We'll go with that.
That's amazing.
I also saw another story yesterday where the guy was crying because another alligator story from the great state of Florida.
He ate his alligator ate his dog.
That's horrible.
There's nothing worse.
I mean, yeah.
Yeah, that's awful, but people please realize,
alligators are real.
They do live in bodies of water, even puddles.
You know, don't wait for a puddle to dry up without expecting maybe some small alligator to come out of it.
They're all over down here.
This message brought to you by the Alligator Commission of Florida.
You saw the giant alligator they had, the 14-footer?
Yep.
I was on a golf course.
Yeah, the giant traps.
That's a hazard, but come on, 14-foot gators.
Thank you.
Be here all week.
I did. Actually, so we saw the video. We played the video on one of the shows I do on this stupid network.
One of the seven or eight that you...
That showed it walking across the course. Now, apparently it's been there for a while.
Now, I'm getting reports now that it's been there for quite some time, and people do see it.
It just happened to this guy, you know, videoed it and, you know, that went viral.
But, you know, it does live there, so people just leave it B.
And, you know, yep, that's the big gator.
But, you know, that was kind of my point.
Now this guy, actually my story, this guy is complaining that there were no lights in his marina that he lives on.
So, you know, he was walking along with Doc, and the dog jumped in front of him because the Gator was on the dock, and the dog actually saved his life.
But now he's pissed that there were no lights, and he should have seen the Gator.
You know what I mean?
So whatever.
Sure.
And the Gator was like, oh, you want to die instead of the human?
Okay.
I'll eat you instead of the human.
Okay.
You're a smaller bite.
Yeah.
But that is a good message.
The dogs don't fare well down here, small dogs especially.
You don't leave them out running around at night, you know.
I know that's something that even, I mean, I lived in Florida for a long time, as you know,
but that's one of the things that it is kind of an unwritten message from the Florida Gator Control.
Gators are everywhere.
They show up everywhere.
It's where they live.
They don't keep them there just for display.
Now, they're, there's where they're in fact, every pond, every lake, you know.
And the wild ones, I mean.
The water.
I saw a video yesterday.
They were pulling them out of the Gulf of Mexico, which is generally not favored by alligators because it's not water.
Yeah, they don't get out there.
Yeah, but now they're saying, you know, I saw about a four-footer they were pulling out of the water the other day.
Nah, he made a wrong turn.
He's all right.
Yeah, he just made a wrong turn.
Or he was on a boat and fell off or something.
Somebody took him out there.
Yeah, we don't do that much.
benefit of the doubt. I'll give him the better. I'll give that with the benefit of the doubt.
He's not, we're not, we're not, my God, if we have to start worrying about Gators and saltwater,
we're doomed. It's over. Well, that's a crocodile issue too.
And they have found some crocodiles in the saltwater around Florida, but not as much as, say,
Australia, you know, not kind of our thing here. Gators, they're cold-blooded. They don't like
to be in anything that, you know, as big as the Gulf of Mexico where the water's not always,
about a balmy 84 degrees.
Right.
Anyway, it's a good rule of thumb when you come to Florida is that if there's a body of water, there's a gator in it.
That's the way it is, okay?
Or a flack a drug addict.
Or a flack a drug addict, that's right.
Now, for more information, you can obviously go to chuck inflora.com.
Yes, sir.
So you've got the big side going.
So, Chuck, what else is happening in your life?
What's going on?
How come you are you doing makeup for Walking Dead yet?
Not for Walking Dead, but interesting you bring that up.
There is some rumors about a film being shot in your area.
Really?
I may have to talk with you off air about some opportunities there.
We'll see how it comes out.
Oh, man, I wish I could have a place for you to stay, Chuck.
But, man, talk to you later.
Oh, that's horrible.
I know.
Man, I just, we had the, and I can't.
And the new baby, of course, you're great.
8-800-90-3033-93 is the phone number.
Wish I had time.
Wish I could.
But I've got a break now.
I'm up against the clock.
And I can't, uh, don't have time.
Wish I did.
Talk to you later.
Bye.
Take care.
Bye-bye.

This is the Jeff Fisher Show on the Blaze Radio Network.
The Jeff Fisher Show.
888-90-0.
03393 is the phone number.
We still have Mark on the line, or do you leave me?
Because I've got a couple stories ago.
Yeah, we can go to Mark.
Mark, welcome to the broadcast.
This is the Jeff Fisher show on the boys' radio nightline.
How are you, sir?
Yeah, I think what they ought to do is make them wear...
Okay, first of all, I'm going to cut you off because your phone is kept cutting out and kept
out, and you were talking about the slumber party, so I'm guessing you weren't talking about a party that your daughter was having.
I'm guessing that you were talking about the sit-in from the fine people.
the Democratic leadership.
And, you know, I had someone remind me that we probably shouldn't,
we didn't need to stop calling them our leaders and call them just representatives
so that it's reminded them and us that they work for us.
So I'm going to try to stop calling them leadership and our leaders just to get over it so that it's,
you know, words matter, right?
So we were talking about animals and gators eating dogs.
and people getting tased for trying to make love to palm tree
and pretend that they were God cutting people with the badge.
It's more great news out of Brazil.
Tremendous, tremendous Olympic news.
The Jaguar, that was part of the Olympic Torch relay event,
that they were practicing that, of course,
getting ready for the big opening event.
And they had the Jaguar out there.
And they had to kill it.
Sorry about that, but you're going to die.
It was shot with a tranquilizer dart, and then it lends on a shoulder, and no, we're going to kill it with a pistol shot.
Sorry, goodbye.
Have a nice day.
The Rio 216 organizing committee expressed regrets.
We made a mistake when we allowed the Olympic torch, a symbol of peace, union of different people, to be exhibited next to a chained wild animal.
The scene contradicts our beliefs and values.
We are very saddened by what happened after the torch relay
and guarantee we will not witness any other situation like this
during the Rio 2016 games.
Why not?
Well, now I got nothing to look for.
Tell me at least it could happen possibly again.
Maybe I'll watch the Olympics in Rio.
Maybe.
Now, the exciting news, and I'm going to tweet this out and put this on Facebook,
but I'm telling you it's true.
Now, as you know, I am an Elvis Presley fan, have been an Elvis fan forever, as long as I can remember.
My son, my oldest son, is named Elvis.
Not completely after Elvis Presley.
There are plenty of other Elvis's in the world, but, you know, predominantly Elvis Presley.
And it was sad when he died.
But it was sad when we thought he died, but we have news now that he is not dead.
when we have video tape
that Elvis is alive
and working at Graceland
and he's been alive all this time.
Thank God.
The world is right again.
Elvis Presley is not dead.
He's alive at Graceland.
And they have video footage.
So take that non-believers.
The experiment was a success.
Begin Life Force reboot program.
Now,
Stand clear. Life signs stable.
It's alive. Set it loose.
This is the Jeff Fisher Show on the Blaze Radio Network.
Welcome to it. 888-9033 is the phone number.
Chris Salcedo, Mike Slater, Joe Paggs, all coming up, all live after this broadcast on the Blaze Radio Network.
tomorrow you've got David Barton, Bill Handle, Jackie D.
And then, of course, Monday through Friday, you've got a little dock and skip, Glenn Beck, Buck Sexton, Jay Severin, Pat and Stu.
All on the Blaze Radio Network.
Jay, I'm told, was stuck in Venezuela.
Couldn't get out of the country.
We went down there to sell his wares at one of the flea markets and they couldn't get out.
So I'm not sure if he's, he'll ever be back.
I mean, I hope he is.
We're praying for him.
We want him to be back.
But you never know.
Once you get stuck in Venezuela, you know what they say?
Once you get stuck in Venezuela, you're stuck.
Anyway.
So incredibly stupid.

Good news coming from our president today, President Obama, is designated.
the Stonewall National Monument.
The historic site of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City,
who doesn't know about the historic site of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in 1969,
this is to honor the broad LGBT equality movement.
The new Stonewall National Monument will protect the area where on June 28, 1916,
A community's uprising in response to a police raid sparked the modern LGBT civil rights movement in the United States.
So congratulations. We have a new national monument.
The Stonewall National Monument.
To quote President Obama, I'm designated the Stonewall National Monument as the newest addition to America's National Park System.
Stonewall will be our first national monument to tell the story of the struggle for LGBT rights.
I believe our national park should reflect the full story of our country.
The richness and diversity and uniquely American spirit that has always defined us.
That we are stronger together.
That out of many, we are one.
This freaking guy, man.
That's unquote there.
I'm sorry.
He didn't say this freaking guy.
I did.
So out of many, we are one, end quote.
This freaking guy was me.
Okay.
I've been wanting to tell you this story for a while.
It's probably, it's become one of my favorite stories.
I love this story.
I want to know more about it.
I want to make a movie about it.
I want to,
I'm going to look into it more.
I read this story about a month ago.
It's about a Chinese female pirate.
At the dawn of the 19th century, a former prostitute from a floating brothel in the city of Canton was wed to Chang-Wan, who was a pirate, operated in the South China Sea and the King Dynasty, Quinn, Q-Quing Dynasty, Q-I-M-G dynasty.
Though the name under which we now know her is Ching Shea simply means Chang's widow.
She left behind a huge legacy.
She succeeded her husband.
She commanded 1,800 pirate ships, 80,000 men.
In comparison, think about this, she had 1,800 ships and 80,000 men in comparison,
Blackbeard, who is, you know, the hero.
legend,
Blackbeard commanded four ships and 300 pirates
around the same time.
She is known as one of the most successful pirates
in history.
Now, her husband, Changwon,
commander of the red flag fleet of pirate ships,
he brought together rival Chinese pirate organizations.
He then married this 26-year-old Cheng Shea in 1801.
And she took the bull by the horns.
She participated fully in her husband's piracy.
All right.
Now, the story goes that Chang sought his bride out due to her reputation as a shrewd businesswoman.
Now, she learned this business shrewdness as a prostitute,
and she learned how to wield power over her wealthy and political connected clients.
All right.
Now, her financial savvy became undeniable over.
the course of the career.
It's rumored that Changshae demanded equal control of the pirate fleet as a condition of her marriage
to Chang'an in 1801.
Okay.
And then she shows how smart of a business person she is when she takes over the entire
Confederation.
This is where it gets good.
Six years into their marriage, the man dies.
Chang'an, he dies.
He's 42.
Makes her 31.
Six years, 32.
She was 26, 32.
Now, we really don't know how Changwon died.
Right.
I say he was killed by a tsunami.
Some said he was murdered in Vietnam.
Uh-huh.
Now, when he died, though,
Changshe was left, you know, kind of like, you know,
what do I do now?
Because her husband,
adoptive son and heir,
Chung Po Sai,
he's the one to get it all, right?
He's the one to control the Red Flag Fleet.
He's the man.
Now,
knowing that Chung Po Sai
was more than just
Chengshai's stepson.
The young fisherman,
the adoptive son of Cheng One,
was also
Cheng's lover.
You heard me right.
All right.
So now, apparently that wasn't unusual during those times if you adopted your sexual relationship between an adoptive son and a father.
Okay.
Adult adoption was often practiced in China in order to establish a kinship basis for further interaction.
So instead of getting married, they would adopt.
the older one would adopt.
Anyway.
Within weeks of Cheng one's death, though,
Qing Sha had moved in
on Chung Po as her lover as well.
So she just said,
okay, you can be my lover now.
I want this to be a movie so bad.
And she then
took it over
and said, you know, we're lovers
and
I'm just going to take it over.
That would I stay.
me. Now, an East India company had an employee named Richard Glasspool who was captured by
Ching Shai's pirates in 1809, and he was held for four or five months. In his account of the
ordeal, he estimated that there were 80,000 pirates and some 1,000 large junks and 8,000 or 800
smaller junks and robots that were part of her fleet. Now, she used to be. You know, now, she used to
Unified her enormous fleet of pirates using a court of code of laws.
Now, she was strict, too.
And if the pirate giving his own orders or disobeying those of a superior,
was to be beheaded.
Okay.
And it was unusual in its laws regarding female captives.
If a pirate raped a female captive, he was put to death.
If the sex between the two was consensual, both would be put to death.
So if you're a captive, you better not say you wanted to have sex with the pirate baby.
Because you're dead too.
There are further accounts of Chingshy's code to state that if a pirate took a captive as his wife,
then she required them to be faithful.
Although it was told that captains would have multiple wives,
but you still could be faithful to your wives, right?
I know that's weird here in the West, but I got it.
whatever they thought about her, it does seem clear that the pirates respected and obeyed her authority.
Now, under her rule, the red flag fleet, undefeated.
And I mean the QING dynasty, the Qing dynasty, tried to end her many times.
The Portuguese Navy, East India Company, tried to go after a bunch.
Now, after three years at the high seas, Ching Shea retired in 1810.
So she ruled it, you know, three years, made a bunch of money, a bunch of cash, ruled it to high seas, killed enough people.
Her surrender came because I've been an interesting conflict between the black and red fleets and their leaders, which were the first to surrender to the black flag fleet, and then ultimately the red flag fleet.
And I'm pretty sure that they say that the mounting pressure from outside for the suppression of internal loss of cohesion.
So China was like, we need to stop this.
We have got trade to go on.
You can't be stealing from all our trade partners trying to get us,
trying to what's happening here in the seas.
We can't be stealing everything.
And so she retired in 1844.
She died in 1844.
She was 69.
And she even got to be, you know, one of her characters in the Pirates Caribbean, as we said,
you know, the Mittress Chang.
Now, we don't know what happened to her after she retired.
Apparently, you know, she retired and just went away, disappeared.
So she took her money.
Maybe she took, you know, the lover boy with her.
Don't know.
Might have probably had him killed, though.
It was probably done with him.
And off she went and died 69 years old.
She made enough cash in those years with being number two and number one.
that when they ran her off, they didn't kill her, they ran her off.
I want this to be a movie, and I want to know more about this person,
and I want to know more about these times because she was the,
I am in love.
This woman was ruthless.
Marries the guy.
The guy has an adoptive son who's his lover.
he mysteriously dies.
She takes out in the sun as the lover to rule the pirates
and rules it strong for three years.
Makes a bunch of cash, makes a deals to surrender,
goes away, lives peaceful forever and dies.
Tremendous.
Tremendous.
Ching Shea, female pirate lord.
This is the Jeff Fisher.
show at the Blaze Radio Network.
This is the Jeff Fisher
Show on the Blaze Radio
Network. The Jeff
Fisher Show is on.
That it is on the Blaze Radio
Network. Thank you so much for coming
along for the ride today. So much more to get
to. Man, we've got a lot of stuff to
get to. One of my favorite stories is
the Jersey stabbing
victim.
Says a lot about people
from New Jersey. That's for
sure. Sadly,
I lived in New Jersey for three or four months, something like that.
Maybe six months tops.
I don't remember how long I lived there.
It seemed like a lifetime.
In the great city of Weehawking, New Jersey, this particular human being from New Jersey was stabbed.
And he went into, walked into the hospital.
and somebody else called the police, reported the possible stabbing.
Police showed up.
Wanted to know what the problem was.
New Jersey man says, I was stabbed.
I can handle it my damn self.
I was stabbed.
I can handle it my damn self.
I just came out of the county jail.
I ain't no cinch.
Welcome to New Jersey.
Thank you. Thank you. New Jersey. Love you. Good night, everybody. Love you.
I was stabbed. I can handle it my own damn self. My damn self, not my own. I can handle it my damn self.
Newly released police reports. Very disturbing. Detail Michael Jackson's pornography collection.
Anyone surprised? Raise your hand if you're surprised. Anybody raise their hand? Nobody raised their hand. Nobody raised their hand. Of course not.
reports then from multiple raids at the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department on the compound connected to the 2003 child abuse investigation of the Popeye gun.
According to this,
manipulative, drug, and sex-craze predator who used blood, gore, sexually explicit images, and animal sacrifice,
and perverse adult sucks acts to bend children to his will.
Michael Jackson.
I'm sure the family is not happy about that release.
at all.
Good thing to look forward to U.S. Navy, already discussing how do we fit humans with
microchips and track their every move.
Yay!
And it will be just for our safety.
Just for your safety.
Don't you worry about it, okay?
Because we need to be safe.
And the only way to be safe is to be microchipped.
So the government and the military can track your every move.
Okay?
Okay.
And another good thing coming out of the European Union, our rights for robots.
The EU revealed plans for a new class of AI electroperson.
Got to have rights for robots coming from the European Union.
I don't know.
This might have been a part of some of the regulations that were rammed down the United Kingdom's throat
that made the people say, you know what, we don't want to be part of you anymore.
We don't want your regulations shoved down our throat.
We like our old teapots.
We like our old toasters.
We don't want your new regulations and telling us that what we are using now is illegal and we can't use it anymore, okay?
No.
No.
And then I've got this.
My son talked my wife into getting him this loot crate.
You know, here at the Blaze, one of our sponsors have been Mancrate.
for quite a while.
And they're great.
And you order them
and they give gifts in the box and stuff
and you can go to mancrate.com and check them out.
That's exactly kind of what this is,
Lute Crates.
And you can go to the website,
lukerates.com.
But he got his first one yesterday.
He was all excited.
And I mean,
it's actually fascinating.
And they're promoting.
They've got,
if you go to their site,
they've got a YouTube channel,
themed videos.
I mean, they've got a short movie.
I say video, we'll call it a video.
It is kind of a short movie, though.
but they're producing their own content
on Lucre, which is fascinating to me.
I love it because YouTube is just
are starting to create their own stuff on their red
channel. And I got news
for you, YouTube. We'll talk about it
in a little bit, but one of your
one of your little things that you were
promoting, what was it, let me, the TV series
that was their deal, YouTube Reb
Google's paid for purchase, and you pay for time.
It's because they're going to be using a call called Step Up,
and it's based on the Channing Tatum Dance Drama franchise of the same name.
So this is going to be their YouTube Red channels, Big Budget Show, Step Up.
Good luck with that.
Good luck with that.
Now, as you know, I went to at Lutcrate, good luck with that.
You've convinced my son and my wife to become a member of your thing where they get stuff delivered every month.
And what came in the box was pretty cool.
T-shirt was cool.
Got some gifts.
He was all happy.
The lutecrate.com.
But one of the things that you can look forward to, I'll tell you the story about how the cable company, oh my gosh, broke into my home and reinstalled cable boxes and a new internet thing.
And they broke into my home.
Thankfully, my family is okay.
My family is okay, but they did, this was a horrific act that took place this week.
The Jeff Fisher Show, The Blaze Radio Network.
Jeff Fisher.
That's me on the Blaze Radio Network.
So what kind of frame of mind do you need to be into?
Walk on fire.
What kind of frame of mind do you need to be into take your shoes off and walk across colds?
hot burning fire.
Now I've actually gone to a
similar
walk-on-colle event.
I have not done it.
And I'm disappointed now that I have not.
Because I wish I could tell you that I had
and tell you my experience and what kind of
injuries I had on my feet, if any.
Because if you're in the right frame of mind,
I mean, obviously, look, obviously.
What are you stupid?
obviously you're going to have some kind of, you know, some kind of damage to your feet.
But the point of it is is that you're not going to feel it.
You're going to put yourself into the special frame of mind, right?
And you're going to come across it and know that you can do this.
That's the whole deal, right?
Well, dozens of people were burned Thursday night here in Dallas, Texas.
at a Tony Robbins motivational seminar,
five of those hurt had to be hospitalized.
Oh my God.
Now, Tony, I love him.
I'm a fan of Tony Robbins.
A lot of people aren't.
I like Tony.
He makes me laugh and he has to make some great points.
And if I could, you know, if he wanted to, you know,
be my advice guy and help me through life,
I mean, I'm willing to take his advice and do it.
I don't want to pay him a bunch of money, though.
See, and Tony, he does that for money.
That's how he makes a living.
So he's not going to do that for free for me.
I mean, I would love him, too, Tony.
Look, bud, I'm yours, all right?
I'm all yours, but I can't pay you.
And, I mean, I'll do a few commercials for you.
You know what I'm saying?
I'll show up.
I'll interview some people.
We'll do some YouTube stuff for you.
I'll do all that for you, but I'm not paying any of the extra money.
Because some of the business people, where Tony really makes his money,
is he has some people that are worth a lot of money,
pay him a lot of money for direct access.
So they just call him any time that they need advice or they...
Anytime they're feeling down.
Just need a little Tony Rob and pick me up.
They just call them.
And you can probably get that for...
I don't know, mill or two a year.
Might be a little bit cheaper now.
I don't know what Tony charges.
I don't know what he charges.
I have no idea, but I do know that it exists.
And, you know, Tony's little, it probably is on his website.
I mean, I haven't cared enough to actually look.
I do have a full, I was just telling, I was just telling my eldest son, I do have it in my garage somewhere.
Because I've got like a garage full of stuff that ain't cars.
It's only, you know, over the past few years, we've moved three houses into one.
That's all.
Don't worry about it.
Eh, eh.
We'll box it up.
Do you remember?
Yep, it's in the garage, boxed up.
See, that's why, I think.
It's been in the garage.
If you haven't seen it, burn it.
It's my new motto.
If you haven't seen it, burn it.
You don't need it.
We treat the garage, just like we should our closets, right?
If you haven't worn it in three years, give it away.
Throw it away.
Get rid of it.
You should do that the same.
garage stuff.
Who do we?
Burn it.
Be gone.
However,
I've got a Tony Robbins box of motivational stuff.
Because we were just talking to my son.
My oldest son is a big motivation guy.
And he is, he should be his own.
He should be his own Tony Robbins, really, is what he ought to do.
Just be done with it.
I've talked to him about that too.
Just be his own Tony Robbins because he could do it.
He's got the look.
In fact, I'm going to talk to him again about that because he needs to be doing that.
He needs to have people walk.
over fire at his events, not Tony Robbins events.
Okay?
That's what he needs to do.
It's a matter of priorities.
You know what I'm saying to you?
You're not too busy.
It's just a matter of priorities.
Get that through your head.
However, members of the Dallas Fire Rescue were also there.
Rapid Reds were used to the single 30 to 40 people were less seriously hurt.
Now, according to the event organizers, more than 7,000 people attended this event.
I mean, Tony's still packing them in here in the old DFW area, 7,000.
Now, he isn't speaking publicly about what have gone wrong.
Of course not.
The Robbins Research International issued their statement.
In Dallas tonight, someone not familiar with the firework, observed the event, called 911 erroneously,
reported hundreds of people requiring medical attention for severe burns.
I will grateful to the quick and robust response from Dallas emergency services,
There's only five of the 7,000 participants requested any examination beyond what was readily available on site.
We are pleased to have completed another successful firewalk for 7,000 guests and look forward to the remainder of an outstanding weekend with them.
Huh?
So you've got to be in the right frame of mind, and people were not in the right frame of mind.
They were talking about other people that were not in the right frame of mind doing the old Dallas firework, and that's part of the problem.
Now interviewed
There were several different news stations that carried people.
They were live reports.
I mean, hello, Firewalkers burned and Tony Robbins in downtown Dallas.
I mean, local news is going to be all over it, right?
So one of the people that were asked about it was the Tish Bezile.
From a numbers perspective, that amount is negligible.
And I don't mean to diminish anything that's happened to anybody.
But there's some coaching techniques, really specific strategies.
that he gives people.
Right.
There's some coaching and specific strategies that need to be taken care of before you be walking across the hot coals.
Okay?
You put yourself in the right frame of mind.
And then there was Jennifer St. John.
They probably just got a little scared.
And it's about, you know, having the right mental state and focus to get through something that's challenging.
Right.
I mean, these are Tony Robbins people.
man, Tony should be happy that these people are talking for him.
Because if they don't work for him and these people are paying him money,
he ought to just walk up with those big old hands of his and pat him on the back.
Jacqueline Luxembourg was asked about it.
From my observation and we walked together on fire,
there was someone in front of us and someone behind us on their cell phone,
taking selfies and taking pictures and asking.
Actually, they asked her to video record for her.
so I think that that has a lot to do with it.
Yes, Jacqueline, you are 100% right.
People were not in the right frame of mind.
Now, on almost all of these reports,
I saw this guy, Ted Shinninky.
He was like one of the trainers.
We always have a few people that have some discomfort afterwards,
and we do our best to take care of them.
Now, I find it fascinating.
These are all different news reports.
And yet, they're all talking to the same people.
They all get bunched in.
There's only several people that are talking to news people.
And we've got to have that soundbite.
So we're going to get it.
And so Ted talked to another news company.
I know it may not look that way, but this was actually another successful firewall.
We had over 7,000 people that walked across the hot coals.
and we always have a few people that are, you know, have some discomfort afterwards.
And, you know, we do our best to take care of them and ensure that they get whatever help that they feel like they need.
There you go, which is, which bodes to what, you know, the release from the Robbins Research International said.
Some people just got a little jump in the gun.
And then, of course, oh my gosh, was Jacqueline Luxembourg talk to again?
I'm just shocked.
I'm out of words.
I'm shocked.
I've never seen this in all of my events.
And I have to just say it has nothing to do with the training.
It has absolutely nothing to do with Tony Robbins.
Jacqueline, if you do not work for the Robbins Research International, you may get a call this week.
you're now a partial spokesman.
And then there was a couple, this Dan and Amy Fisher.
Now, he was carrying the wife on his back.
And there's one clip that their Twitter account, the news channel had on their Twitter account that showed them talking about it.
I never could get the right feed for it.
But they also, then, oh my gosh, there was another clip from Dan and Amy walking away from the event as he carries her on his back.
What happened?
So tonight was a firewalk for the Tony Robbins seminar.
And at the very first, the first night, they always do a firewalk to celebrate what we've discussed.
So tonight when we were firewalking, we got burned.
So we walked through some coals, and the coals, they didn't do us very good tonight.
They ran out of water.
That was what I heard from one of the crew members, and we paid for it.
So we're trying to get back to our hotel without walking,
and hopefully we can do that before it gets too late.
Disappointed at it happened, or is it something to happen?
Oh, yeah, dude.
You know, it's human error sometimes.
You know, you've got to forgive, but it's a bummer that we came from out of town,
from California, and it happens sometimes, so it's kind of a bummer.
Have you guys done this before?
Yes, we have.
Yeah.
Didn't happen the first time we did this, so hopefully what just chalked this up is in
anomaly and you know it's still a great experience we're going to be a
so it's kind of a bummer you know it's kind of a bummer now one thing that he said in that
clip that uh you didn't hear from anyone else uh he said uh they ran out of water i'm wondering
what that is what he's referring to because i hadn't seen that anywhere about them running
out of water uh i wonder if they didn't have enough to put on the coals they didn't
have enough to rinse off people's feet after the walk on the fire, what the deal was with that.
That's kind of concerning, and it should be a little concerning for the Robbins Research International, too.
But Tony still had more people ready to talk about.
There was my main man, Bo Luxman.
The problem seemed to be that a lot of the people that were walking weren't in a peak state to do the walk.
And there is a method to doing it.
the firewalk.
They were not in a peak state.
Okay?
If you're not in a peak stake,
don't be walking across coals.
You can quote me on that.
If you are not in a peak state,
don't walk across hot burning coals.
Because it'll be kind of a bummer,
and you won't be able to walk easily after that for quite some time.
I'm sorry,
Bow, what was that again?
Peak State. There is a method
to doing the firewall.
Thank you.
Get it through your head, okay?
Tony Robbins, people.
And even Dan and Amy Fisher kind of
even with his comment about
he's running out of water,
he even said, we've done it before, it didn't happen
really. Our man
Ted Schninky said, hey, we usually have some
people with some
some, what would he say, some
complications, but some discomfort.
you know, after the event, but you've got to be in a peak state and use the methods that Tony gives you and realize that you can walk across hot burning fire coals.
Because look, if you can do that in your life, if you can do that in your life, that's just one little thing.
But if you can storm across a bed of hot coals, once you start doing what you thought was,
impossible, you'll conquer the other fires of your life with ease.

I can't, I wanted to tell you about how the cable company broke into my home and scared
my wife and children and put in cable boxes and new Wi-Fi system.
And it was just, it was a horrific, horrific thing because we had came.
canceled it and went with all the streaming services.
And then all of a sudden, I mean, what the heck?
Cable company can't be happy.
They've got to break in and put it in.
It was horrible, horrible.
Fortunately, I mean, they got out of there before the police came,
before I was able to call the police.
If you're a delegate going to the RNC convention,
I would say be careful and just tell everyone no matter what you do,
you're going to vote for Trump.
I don't care if you don't want to vote for Trump.
Don't vote for Trump.
Just tell people you're going to vote.
vote for Trump. Carl Palladino, a pro-Trump delegate, also the 2010 GOP governor-torial candidate,
also campaign co-chairman for Trump in New York, told the Buffalo News, there's going to be war.
If delegates vote their conscience to stop bloviating billionaire and reality TV star Donald Trump,
that of course the Buffalo News, there's, I'm going to whack somebody. Someone will get whacked.
Oh, that's special.
Good.
Thanks, Carl.
We find out you didn't vote for Trump.
You're going to get whacked.
It's very simple.
Oh, and today, on behalf of Jack Harris in Tampa, it's Leon Day.
Okay.
Noel spelled backwards.
Six months from Christmas, either way you go.
Today is that day.
I know he's a big fan of Leon.
Always wanted to have a big Leon party.
So, you know, today is Leon.
So happy Leon Day.
