Starting point is 00:00:00 Great story from Mammoth Cave National Park. So while the park didn't release any additional information, they told us about a camper named Brad, who said he and his girlfriend. I'm sorry, what's the name? Brad. Last name? Gin.
Starting point is 00:00:20 Oh, so close. So close. Brad stags. And Brad has a girlfriend. So. And he very well could be camping at Mammoth Park in Kentucky. That's what I'm saying. No.
Starting point is 00:00:31 That's possible, but no, it wasn't. Yeah. Sorry to disappoint you. Okay, so Brad and his girlfriend, I went to sleep about 11 o'clock. And they got, they got woken up about 1 a.m. People were shining flashlights at their tent. And they were, hey, what's going on? And they came outside.
Starting point is 00:00:48 What are you doing? So there was a guy and a young, his son, approaching the tent with their flashlights. And they were like, hey, what's going on? He said, well, something destroyed my campsite. I kept hearing all kinds of strange sounds And I don't know what's I know what's going on And I keep hearing
Starting point is 00:01:08 All these sounds This is Bigfoot country, you know And the girlfriend Says to I heard the same kind of sounds Did you? Now it doesn't say that But Brad should have said did you?
Starting point is 00:01:23 Did you? So the man reportedly showed the couple his gun And said You know what? if you hear some gunshots you need to run so they went back to their tent and they were inside for about five or ten minutes and you know trying to calm down a little bit
Starting point is 00:01:43 and they heard gunshots actually they only heard one just one gunshot but they didn't run they stayed right over there because the man and the sun returned to the couple's tent and said hey bigfoot
Starting point is 00:02:01 came out of the words and approached him. So he fired his weapon. Right. So you saw Bigfoot and you only one time? I mean, did he drop right then?
Starting point is 00:02:16 Well, he had a Bigfoot bullets. So right then, Brad and the girlfriend backed up and left. Chickens. And I'm sorry. You look at Bigfoot, you find him. The first thing you do is shoot him?
Starting point is 00:02:31 Come on now. Don't you try to communicate or something? Yes. Although he's already destroyed your campsite. How do you know what's him? Well, you don't. It could be a bear. Which is probably what it was.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Wait, what? I'm guessing. Probably what it was. But you never know. Right? I mean, you'd never know. It could have been Bigfoot. And what happened?
Starting point is 00:02:53 Oh, look, there's Bigfoot. Bastards. It is not. Turn it up. Let's hear some of you open. Not everybody could yodel. We don't have the... They don't only have 30 seconds.
Starting point is 00:04:16 A whole deep cut. Another 30 seconds, 15 seconds is what we use. This is the latest group that has sued Katie Perry for plagiarizing their music. And that's going to be going to court soon. We have not heard exactly how much money it's going to cost Katie. But you can bet that it's going to be more than $2. It's going to be a lot more than $2.
Starting point is 00:04:40 I said this morning even on Pet Show that it would be a couple hundred bucks. I think it's probably going to be more than that. I think a couple of thousand. I don't know. That's pretty steep. A couple of thousand? A couple of thousand is pretty steep. And, you know, Carrie's a hard,
Starting point is 00:04:58 Katie's a hard working woman. She's out there. She is. Actually, she is. But working hard, you know, stealing the music from Christian Brabors. Right. Right. So, and plus big, big music. Capital records. I mean, they're going down. The producers. So, so Flame will get credit. I'll put him on the credit. Anything sold now from Dark Horse has got to give credit to Flame. And do you back pay?
Starting point is 00:05:27 Oh, you damn right, you do. He gets, I mean, deep cuts. That thing was a monster for her. I went back and looked last night. That was a monster hit for her. It was all over the world. Yeah, it was her hit. It was her hit music. And that made set up fortunes down the road. I mean, if you really want to think about it, I mean, that was such a hit
Starting point is 00:05:50 that it set up the rest of it. But if you're just even just talking about that specific song, Monster. Yeah, because that, you know, that producer that got the next gig said, hey. Right, because of that. I know. I made that song, you know, dark horse with Katie Perry. I know. Do you like that sick beat?
Starting point is 00:06:05 So we're about it. I got you. It's a domino effect, but I don't know that you can. I think that's, to be honest, that's probably why the jury voted the way they did because of big music and big performer. Not because she stole the beat? No, stop it. There's music.
Starting point is 00:06:24 My gosh. All music has been copied forever. Absolutely not. Everybody's original. The only one that steals music is Ed Schering. That's another thief. I'd like to say to you now that this is the podcast that probably am a little most an influential podcast in the country, Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Executive producer, Chris Cruz. See what I did? I even gave him executive producer title. So anything after this, you know, you get credit for? No, I'm just saying that this is the most influential podcast because we have another example. In the last week, we've had two examples of how influential this podcast is. First example, Kathy Chu. We talked to her. She gets a cough on the... I say, you heard from the Trump campaign? No, that probably won't happen. After the Trump campaign listens to the podcast, she's part of the
Starting point is 00:07:34 campaign. She's part of the women's. They reached out to her. She's part of the campaign. They love her. yesterday a woman peas on potatoes at Walmart and Pennsylvania gets away right gets away and I'm complaining why is she getting away
Starting point is 00:07:50 if somebody does something she wasn't filming it she wasn't trying to it wasn't for a YouTube channel it was just as she was you know which I'm sorry that was her fault and she would have got millions of these so oh my gosh
Starting point is 00:08:03 yes and the footage from Walmart somebody needs to clip that soon we need that out there man Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com. Don't worry. We have the platforms. Thank you. Chewing the fat at the blaze.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Thank you. You know that. But my point is, is that we didn't know who she was. And they posted pictures of who she was. And after we talked about it, she turned herself in. The most influential podcast in America today. Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher, executive producer Chris Cruz. Two, just two.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Just two. The executive producer. Just two examples. Thank you. Thank you. On behalf of the podcast community, I'd like to, uh, like to, oh, I'd like to thank my wife. And I'd like to, I'd like to thank, I'd like to thank my mom and my God for, uh, and then I'd like to thank all the people, you know, behind the scenes that helped with the podcast.
Starting point is 00:09:00 You're looking at the camera. The camera's not. I know. Look, I want to be, I'm accepting an award. You have to look at the camera when you're accepting an award. You're doing a press conference. Oh, the cameras are right there. You look right at it.
Starting point is 00:09:11 What do you mean? Cameras are off. So, no, this was on. I could tell. I could see the reflection. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you, and it's much appreciated. I'm going to have this in a very prominent place for the rest of my life. My award?
Starting point is 00:09:25 My podcast award. Just look at the camera. Look at the screen. You can see. I'm holding it up for the camera. I know. I'm saying. Make fun of it.
Starting point is 00:09:35 No, no, no. No, no more. No more question. That's enough. I've already said, I've already said too much. I already said too much. All right, we're going to talk about the story. The story I did during Chewing the Fat on Pat this morning.
Starting point is 00:10:02 And then I did a Chew in the Fat segment on Glenn Radio. And I didn't do the story. And I'm mad at myself. So we're going to do it tomorrow on Glenn Radio. But you won't have to listen or watch. I mean, you could watch if you watch Blaze TV because you'd be able to see the video. But, I mean, we can. because I wasn't going to play the video here on chewing.
Starting point is 00:10:25 I suppose we could so you could see it if you wanted to. I mean, nah, we won't. We just talk about the story. So it's in Oklahoma. And I say this old lady, 65-year-old woman gets pulled over.
Starting point is 00:10:40 And she's getting pulled over because she has a taillight out. Okay. All right. Well, thanks, Mr. Police officer for doing your job and keeping us safe with your tail light. This whole story brings me back and forth. I'm for the lady and then I'm for the cop. And then I'm for the lady and then I'm for the cop.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Then I'm against the cop. So I don't know where I'm... What are you, a politician? Yes. Absolutely. And this story? Absolutely. 100%.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Because I want to not like the cop and then I want to not like the lady. And then I want to not like the lady. It's amazing. So she says, no, I'm not. You know, yeah, the tail lights out. It's been out for six months. Can you just give me a warning? I'll get it fixed.
Starting point is 00:11:22 The cop being the ever so loving police officer that police officers are. Oh, you've been out for six months. I'm not going to give you a warning. He's going to give you a ticket. Dick. Right. Okay. I got it.
Starting point is 00:11:34 All right. And that's Oklahoma. Right? I mean, this is, I'll tell you a little story, a side story of my son getting pulled over in Oklahoma. All right. He's going back to Missouri. He gets pulled over in Oklahoma by a state trooper, big guy. Oh, those are the big guys.
Starting point is 00:11:50 A big guy who, you know, obviously was a former athlete who sees Elvis, looks at his name and says, Elvis Fisher, where I know that from? And so I'm going back to Missouri. I play. Oh, that's right. Because this guy played for Oklahoma State, all right? So he starts talking to Elvis about football. They're going back.
Starting point is 00:12:04 He's going back to camp. And Elvis is like in the back of his head. Yes. Whatever he pulled me over for, I am good. We'll talk about football. I'm out. Nope. Still gave him the freaking ticket.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Oklahoma cops, man. See, so I'm already biased at the story. I'm already biased. So he wants to, he gives her a ticket and says to sign the ticket. She's not going to sign the ticket. Oh, yeah, you don't sign tickets. She's, you have to. They can arrest you.
Starting point is 00:12:31 They can arrest you for that. Yes, they can. Now, it said, I looked it up today. They can't arrest you for that. It's optional. You know, the police just has the discretion of what to do, but you're supposed to sign it because it's not an admission of guilt. It is.
Starting point is 00:12:50 I think so too, but they say. I'm just saying they. Who is they? You keep saying they. The powers that be. No. I'm sorry. But they are wrong.
Starting point is 00:12:58 The lawmakers. So she says, I'm not signing it. I'm not signing that stupid ticket. And he's like, I'm not signing the ticket. I'm excited. Now, just give her the stupid ticket or, you know, whatever. Just what are you doing? So she rolls up the window.
Starting point is 00:13:15 I'm not signed a ticket. I'm not signed it. And the office. officer tries to get her. Then she starts up the car. Like, I'm out of here. Okay, so now I'm on the cop side now. She starts up the car.
Starting point is 00:13:26 She takes off. Because she starts the car up, but he's like, don't you take God. Don't you? Don't you take, and so he chases her, he chases her down. Okay, and now I'm back on her side.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Why are you chasing her down? You already know where she lives. You have all her information. Now you may it a pursuit. It's a pursuit now. Meet her at the house. Right? You know where she.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Go meet her at the house. It's a pursuit. suit now? No. So he chases her down. Drags her out of the car. Well, at that point you have to. But he pulled his gun. Pulled his gun! No, there were no shots of the gun.
Starting point is 00:14:02 But, wait. So, no, he didn't shoot her. He drags her out of the car. But his gun pulled on her, though. He's got a gun pulled on this. Only 65 year old lady. Over not signing a ticket. Well, and now he'll say that it was over because fleeing the
Starting point is 00:14:18 scene. Okay. Okay. At this point, are you against or for the cop? I lost track. Dragging her out of the car, I'm against the cop. And pulling the gun on the 65. She went through this whole thing with her. You know what she's like.
Starting point is 00:14:34 This should not have progressed this far. Okay, so they're both at fault now. Okay, I'll give you that. They're both at fault now because she fled, she drove away. But he's still supposed to be the calm one, the police officer, right? Thought one. It's supposed to be. But he pulls a gun on her.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Like, what did you? Did she think she had a shotgun hidden underneath the front of the truck? Yes. Okay. So she opens up the door and he drags her out. Now she's a 65-year-old, overweight woman, older woman. He drags her out of the car. Start screaming about put your arms behind your back.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I think she would be lucky if she could put her arms behind her back, right? Especially laying on the ground, especially laying on the ground and getting dragged out a car, right? I mean, she's dragging this old woman out of a car. And she's not, you know, trust me, I realize 65 is not that old. There's plenty of in-shaped 65-year-olds. I got it. But this woman is not one
Starting point is 00:15:32 of those. So he drags her out and she, so she turns and rolls back over and says no, kicking at him. Okay, so now she's resisting arrest. There's something else that's after, right? So now... Where are you out right now? I think now I'm back on the cop side.
Starting point is 00:15:48 Because she's resisted. Well, we should have never got to this point. This is all fruit from a tree that should have never been planted. Okay. All right. But she starts kicking him. So he pulls out his taser and tazes her. And then rolls her over and handcuffs her arms behind her back and drags her up.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Right there. So then at the end, she's sitting on the curb and he goes, you okay. You feel okay? You hurt anywhere? And she's like, yeah, I heard everywhere. And I was thinking, well, that's a, well, that's a, What do you think? Now you want to be nice?
Starting point is 00:16:22 Well, yeah, that's what you do. Now you want to be, oh, you're okay. We'll get an ambulance here for you. Yeah. I almost put a bullet in your skull and tased you, but are you okay? You're supposed to ask those questions, Jeff Fisher. Oh, shut up. We'll get an ambulance here and check you out.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Everything okay. So what's a verdict? What happened? So now she's got a felony assault on a police officer and one misdemeanor for resisting arrest. Oh, right? I think she's so high. And she still has the broken tail. So, come on.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Do you sue the department? I think you do. I don't know that you win, but I think you do. Now, they have not commented yet. What do you say? If you, like you said, the police are following protocol with what's going on. You know, okay. You follow protocol.
Starting point is 00:17:16 I get it. 100%. Nobody supports the police more than I do. You follow protocol. financially but but there is a little competence involved too isn't there should there be there should be there you go there should be some common sense and I agree that tree should never been planted yeah that was a back way too far you know okay ma'am can you sign this no
Starting point is 00:17:44 ma'am can you sign this no okay you know what fine I have to make you sign it but you're not going to sign it. I'll make a note. You do not sign it. You have a nice day. Here's your ticket. Here's your ticket. Just toss it in the car because she's not going to take it from you probably. No. You just toss it in the car. And she's not going to go to court. And if she throws it out, she throws it out. You just drive away. You're done. You've done your job. You have. Yes. I give people ticket without them sign. I'll say, oh, you don't want to sign it. Okay. Here's your ticket. Just so you know, it's still going to go to the magistrate. It's still going to go. It still happens. With you sign it now, it's still going to go to the magistrate.
Starting point is 00:18:20 It doesn't matter. What I'll do is get out of the car. In the back of the ticket. So now at one point in this, she's pissed. And before she drives away, she says, you know, he's going back and forth. And now she's at the point. Just give me the freaking thing. This is just ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:18:38 We've all been there. Right. We all been there. Fine. Okay, do you. Come here, take it. Just give me the thing. I'll sign it.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Oh, we're way beyond that now. Okay. So now the cop is pissed. And I, you know. I understand him being frustrated. But again, right then had he said, okay, but I'm telling you, this could have gone a lot, this could have been a lot worse. And have her sign it and let her go.
Starting point is 00:19:03 Get her the hell out of there. Because on the back of the ticket, the police officer has to recollect all the evidence and put in a right in form. And at the bottom he put, defendant refused to sign tickets. Sign tickets. I mean, it just seemed like. it was too much. So now I'm back on the her side.
Starting point is 00:19:28 Cop side, yeah. I'm on the cop side. No, I'm on the cop side. He did it all by protocols. No, it was too far. She should have signed it. She should have signed it. I'm sorry, you could have just lined through it.
Starting point is 00:19:39 Signed. Just grab the pen, ma'am. Ma'am, just grab the pen. Just grab the pen. Signed. Sign here. Okay, yes. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:51 And then she, at the point where he was like, we're way past that. He should have said, and then it would have all been over with. Should have turned off the body cam footage. And you would have just heard, just as he's turning off the body cam footage, and then that would have been the end of the story. The lady attacked me. She went crazy.
Starting point is 00:20:11 I don't know what happened. You can see it here on the video, how she's moving closer to me. All of a sudden, and then all of a sudden she grabbed my body camp video. I thought it was on, but on the lock. I mean, all right, I'm sorry. I don't mean to be going off about this lady anymore, but it just drives me a little insane because at some point,
Starting point is 00:20:36 you've got to have a little common sense as police officers. I know they do. I know they do a dangerous job, and I do appreciate the job they do. I mean that. I really do. It's funny, you have to say that because the police department is right behind you.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Oh, holy God. You know, they're in the neighborhood. Yeah, right behind that. I thought maybe they were actually here. No, I don't have to say that. I know I don't. I don't have to say that. Got to careful.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Be careful on the streets. As I said earlier, no one supports the police department more than I do. For those of you that were bummed about Woodstock looking like it wasn't going to happen. Looks like it might happen again now. Woodstock 50 organizers said they're going to attempt to relocate the festival. from upstate New York to Columbia, Maryland. According to this story, a last-ditch effort. Organizers told the New York Times
Starting point is 00:21:44 they will attempt to stage the festival at Meriwether Post Pavilion, which is about an hour's drive from Washington, D.C., and about four and a half hours from the original Woodstock site in Bethel, New York. They're going to try to do it on August 16th, 17, and 18th. Oh, that's in a couple of weeks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:03 I mean, they're trying to put it together this fast. Now, one of the things that you may say to yourself, wait, the Meriwether Post Pavilion in Columbia, what is that? Well, I'm going to have to tell you that you're just dumb because it's the jewel of Howard County and one of the top music venues in the nation. So. That Columbia thing is the highest music venue in the United States? That's one of the top, one of the top.
Starting point is 00:22:29 One of the top music venues in the nation. Yeah, in the U.S., yes. And it is the jewel of Howard County. I believe that. See, I will believe it's the jewel of the county. I don't think it's one of the top music venues. Are you doubting their sales pitch?
Starting point is 00:22:46 I am doubting their sales pitch. Now, there's a problem, though, because there's a number of artists that were supposed to come to the original. Oh, and they're like, man,
Starting point is 00:22:59 look at the time. I'm not driving for hours. Look at the time. I am busy. Wish I could make. to the jewel of Howard County but I just can't seem to make it so good luck maybe they scourger you to perform I mean okay I mean we could do a little I can perform a little yodeling for them you know I mean it's not quite it might
Starting point is 00:23:30 not be quite up to you know Woodstock standards or or the jewel of Howard county standards but I could pull it off for him no problem let me hear let me hear you let me hear you just one just one give me a y'all i just you're playing what i recorded i know but i want to let's do it live you know because they're not they don't want to do anything pre-recorded no katy per-re was shot down in front of a courtroom with the jury well she got shot she got shot down oh shut down because she was going to do the song live and they no no katie well you're not katy perry no i know i'm not I hope we're going to put yourself in the same shoe as Katie Perry. My feet are bigger than Katie.
Starting point is 00:24:06 Yes, they are. They wouldn't fit. Yes. She does have a nice shoe collection. She does. Yes. I'm going to play just a little bit. I want you just, you know, you just either sing along with it.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Yot-o-lo-de-o-io. You can say it's easy. Yeah. Come on now. I mean, call me. Call me. Let me know Woodstock. Let me know.
Starting point is 00:24:33 You know. All right, so this may be fun to watch. The body of gangster John Dillinger going to be exhumed in September. They're digging him up. And he's in a concrete encased grave. I mean, when he was buried like 85 years ago after the FBI killed him.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Don't smile. I mean, the FBI killed. them outside of the Chicago movie theater. They snuck him in with the lady in red man. That's him. They brought him down. So I don't know why they're bringing. The reason that they're bringing him up is because they want to prove that he's still in there.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Because the family members and a lot of people have said that he was never buried there. And he was, you know, he was not there. So the Indiana State Department of Health approved the permit, sought by Dillinger's nephew to have the body exhumed. permit doesn't give the reason for the request, but it will be part of the A&E Network's coverage on a documentary about John Dillinger. So we will get to see it. I don't know that he's going to come back to life. And I'm guessing after 85 years, whoo.
Starting point is 00:25:53 That's a, I don't know if there's a body left to walk around. But the father had the casket when he was buried originally. The father dug him up and then had the casket reburied under a protective cap of concrete and scrap iron topped by reinforced concrete slabs. Because he didn't want anybody digging him up because they'd been after him. We could lend out his body for exhibits and make some money. which is what I mean that's what they did with Bonnie and Clyde right the car and the suits I mean there's that's still that's you can still go see the suit in the car so I mean would you be what are those bones there that's John Dillinger that's a little you know that would be a little
Starting point is 00:26:40 tough to take but at the time it would have been great yeah I see John Dillinger with the bullet holes in him from the FBI after they killed him huh yeah but the father was having none of that so he did not want the body to be stolen or dug up for profit or any of it. So he reinforced it. So it'll be fun to watch them get out the jackhammers start digging up John Dill. And what happens if he's not in there?
Starting point is 00:27:06 I mean, now you are talking. Right. 85 years ago, he's probably dead for real anyway. He didn't, you know, go down to, you know, he's not in with the Nazis down in South America hanging out. Yeah, he's hanging up with Hitler. Yeah. Hill and Adolf are hanging out in
Starting point is 00:27:25 Elvis. Down in Chile. Chile, yeah. No, that's what I said. Chile. No, it's not a season. It's just a country, Chile. That's what I said.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Chile, that's where they stay. That's where they say. You know, it's Chile. They snuck in down to Chile in South America. It's Chile. That's what I said, Chile. No, that's not right.
Starting point is 00:27:46 You don't know how to say anything in Spanish. I'll tell you that. All right, let's go to the break room. I need to cook bullizers. So good. So if you are one of the 85,000 followers of Katrina with an E on Instagram, don't ask me. I guess the E is. It's a capital E, but I guess it's silent.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Dumb. But she's an Instagram influencer. and apparently she's a residency at a Russian medical school. She was a practicing dermatologist. She was beautiful. And there was a reason why she was an Instagram. You know, Eastern Block. Eastern Block Instagram influencer.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Nobody's a bigger fan than me of the Eastern Black money. She was found dead in a suitcase. Laughing. I'm not. How dare you think I'm... I wasn't laughing at all. I don't think I can see you laughing. That's why I'm abducted my head down so the cameras couldn't see me.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Because you were laughing. I don't know why it's funny. It just is to me. It's sad. I really don't know why I think it's funny. I know. Thank you. Katrina,
Starting point is 00:29:27 with an E. 24-year-old Instagram influencer. Family hadn't heard from her in days. They got access to the apartment which she had rented in Moscow. There they discovered the suitcase containing her body.
Starting point is 00:29:55 While they called an ambulance, it was too late. Police believe foul play is suspected. They believe jealousy may have played a role in in Katrina's death.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Right? Except, no, there was no gunshots. Katrina was found with... She'd been taken care of... Nope, it wasn't a... It wasn't a taser. What's another weapon that you have a sound effect for other than, you know, like a bazooker or a tank?
Starting point is 00:30:44 No, she wasn't gaveled to death. Instagram. didn't get kicked out with a horse. No, she wasn't that? No, sorry. No. Oh. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Another animal didn't kick her. Oh, the orangutans most definitely didn't kill her. Although they might be talking about it. They might be talking about the influencer because they probably followed her on Instagram. That's what her killer did. And then just left it. This left her in the apartment. Why would you put her in a suitcase and then just leave?
Starting point is 00:31:27 Oh, right. Dude. Can we just leave the suitcase is heavy? We got the place cleaned up and everything. We just leave her. It's not funny. Why am I joking around it? Maybe we edit this out.
Starting point is 00:31:56 So I watched a couple trailers for movies that looked really interesting. One, it's kind of. of a Jeff Fisher idea. I may sue. I may sue. I may Katie Perry him. A movie called The Hunt. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:32:20 I mentioned movies. We have a projector sound or something. I mean, you're just busy looking through the soundtrack. Let's find another sound effect. Okay. Okay, now I want to test them. So the other day, I'm riding my bike and I put a card on the wheel. So the card was making the noise on the wheel.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Pretty close. That's pretty close. It's not it, though. It's just trying to get away. It's going to get a passing grade with that. So the hunt is with Hillary Swank. And it's about rich people hunting poor people for sport. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Okay? It looked, there's going to be a lot of violence. It's going to be good, right? It's going to be a lot of violence. You're going to see Hillary Swank and the other lady that's in it is, let's just say, not bad looking. Betty Gilpin is in it. And if you're not familiar with Betty, you will be after the hunt. This is kind of, this why I might sue.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Because I've, this idea, I've had for, well, mine was a reality TV show, a little bit different than a film. But they could have, you know, could have easily been adapted to, to, to, film where we hunt prisoners. We set up an area and we film it all. And if the prisoners can get away, it's almost like a running man kind of thing. You remember the movie Running Band 100 years ago with Arnold Schwarzenegger? You know, so if the prisoner gets away or makes it to the end, they're free.
Starting point is 00:34:04 That's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. But it could. It could. And it's all reality TV, we shoot it. Tell me people wouldn't watch it. I mean. They wouldn't watch it.
Starting point is 00:34:18 But you can tell me, but they would. Yeah, but you said they wouldn't watch it. They absolutely would. So, I mean, you could say all you want that people wouldn't watch it, but they would. They would. They would. Stop it. And then I watched the trailer for The Irishman.
Starting point is 00:34:34 Now, that looks great. Now, people are going to watch that. I mean, it's on Netflix. You got Martin Scorsese. doing it you got De Niro Pacino Peschi I know I know and he looks good in that movie it's tough
Starting point is 00:34:47 it's tough to take Mr. De Niro but I just love his work I mean he's such a good such a good bad guy that I just can you be that
Starting point is 00:35:04 yes he's a good bad guy man he is a great good bad guy and I was reading an article that talked about how Hollywood would do this movie. Why? Because only Netflix would do it. Because of the use of the de-aging technology. Oh, we need that here.
Starting point is 00:35:22 You aren't... Wait, why? Anyway, the... It costs... Apparently, it's pretty expensive. I bet. How can you de-age... So, De Niro, Pacino, and Peschi
Starting point is 00:35:33 play 30 years younger selves. And you can see in the trailer... Oh, yeah, you can see. big time De Niro He was great So if you If you were to make that
Starting point is 00:35:47 As a film from Hollywood They would have to make According to this story They would have to make 400 to 450 million Just to break even But how can Netflix afford that? I mean Netflix is paid him
Starting point is 00:36:06 What 150 million or something So are you telling me that Netflix already has a technology and they could just write off $450 million? No, no. I think what Netflix does, and I obviously could be wrong. Well, what Netflix does is say here,
Starting point is 00:36:26 here's 200 million or whatever amount, whatever amount it is. What did they give for this stupid movie? What did they give the Irishman? I mean, this story talks about it being, producing a 160 million dollar period mob drama. So somewhere in between 150 and 200 million is what Netflix is paying for this, okay?
Starting point is 00:36:51 I think Netflix says, do you want to make this movie? Here's 200 million, go make it. And, you know, whatever you, whatever you get out of it. Yeah, but you would think that Hollywood would be like up in arms like yes we'll get it i i know i don't understand because correct me from rome the also releasing this in select theaters so it's not like Netflix wants to yeah Netflix is releasing it to you know select a theater so they want to slap down Spielberg and say you know we'll be up for a what we want and pesci and denaro and Pacino they're all academy award winners anyway so they get them
Starting point is 00:37:31 in the theaters and they get their they get those guys at the academy awards for Netflix that's a good No, it is a great move, but I feel like Hollywood failed by not doing this. Okay, yeah, you have to put up for, so how is it that Netflix can do it by half a cost? Brand new. Netflix is brand new compared to Hollywood. Right. And Hollywood has to flip the bill for $450 million. I feel like Netflix has something more like technology-wise than Hollywood, but then again,
Starting point is 00:38:03 isn't Netflix Hollywood too? They certainly. They share, they share whole bonds. They all share now. Yeah, that's what I mean. They all share the shooting. Yeah, they all are the one big happy family now. So like, I feel like Hollywood messed up on this one.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Yeah. But they're struggling, you know, they're, what this article was saying is that the period piece just wouldn't sell. Who is not going to sit there and watch gangster? But they wouldn't make enough money. You know, the people that would go see it, still they wouldn't recoup it overall. And that's the problem with Honorable right there. They're too scared to take those risks. So Netflix, you know, while they, what this article was, you know, getting to is that while
Starting point is 00:38:44 Netflix, you know, spends the money, Hollywood would spend the money, but they would have to recoup. Netflix has already recouped it. That's so upsetting to hear from Hollywood that they weren't about, am I going to make my money back? Well, I mean, there's a business after all. Yes, but look at Netflix. They're not worried about making their money back. Yeah, well, but they should be. I mean, they're already in the red,
Starting point is 00:39:09 and they've been in the red for a bunch of years. Well, according to Netflix, but, I mean, they're losing a bunch. We've talked about it at fatigue. Just raised another $2. I mean. But at what point is too much? What is too much?
Starting point is 00:39:23 To pay for Netflix because their content is going away, except for their original content. The original content, yeah. Because Disney, I was thinking about this the other day in the shower. Well, that's where you do your best thinking. if you're in the toilet or you're in the shower. Where else would you do any thinking? Well.
Starting point is 00:39:41 No, I won't go to that joke. Never mind. Just talking about thinking about that in the shower. Anyway, the, so all the apps that are coming out, all the companies that are dropping access. Now, you know, like HBO just announced that they're, you know, the HBO is going to have their streaming app.
Starting point is 00:39:57 Oh, HBO is already a separate thing. Yeah, now they want, now they want HBO. Now they're going to have another streaming thing. Come on now. What are you doing? You're killing me. Well, right now you have the new software came out for Apple TV where it has TV channels. It's called Apple TV channels.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Okay. It is just HBO Showtime and then you pay for them separately or you can pay all at once. So it's like Hulu? Yes. I mean, it's just Apple TV Hulu. It's Apple TV Hulu, yes. Okay, so then you have, you've got the Disney. You got Disney?
Starting point is 00:40:30 All right, that's coming. Now, Disney's going to be huge. You're going to, very, you're going to, the people who. The people who are into Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO is going to drop one of those. Unless, I know, I don't know which one. That's what I'm getting at. Just stay with me, all right? To keep the Disney, because you're going to want, there's no way you're going to do without
Starting point is 00:40:51 the Disney. So what you're saying is, either you're going to have. So the Netflix, Hulu people, like me and you, Netflix and Hulu people. And Amazon Prime. Well, Amazon Prime comes with your prime. Yeah. Are you really paying for it? Really?
Starting point is 00:41:05 That's why they try to... Okay. They try to douse those numbers with the prime. Three big guys. Prime. Hulu. Netflix. Amazon spent all kinds of money on it.
Starting point is 00:41:14 They are. And it's good content, by the way. The boys, if you haven't seen it yet, it's good. You like it. It's a big boy show. It's a big boy show. But anyways, so those three, you don't think they'll go for a fourth one? I mean...
Starting point is 00:41:26 I would. And that's where I draw the line. You make big money. I do not make big money. I think that's where I draw the line, though. I had Disney and I'm done because the problem now is that Marvel has decided for the
Starting point is 00:41:40 phase four they're releasing believe it was eight different movies in the next year half of those go straight to Disney Plus and Disney Plus is also creating separate other separate content besides that you have to have that
Starting point is 00:41:55 if you're a fan of any of that stuff or have children for all that Disney content I mean, you can complain and piss and moan about Disney all you want. That's a monster. I don't see people dropping Netflix, but I see people drop in Hulu. I do too, although Hulu now has access, as long as they continue to have access, and they're creating content, they're creating their own content,
Starting point is 00:42:20 and they also have the deal with HBO, right? Hulu has a deal with HBO. If you don't have HBO go, you can get HBO through the Hulu. Yeah, to the Hulu app, yeah. I mean. I feel because the reason why I say Hulu, because NBC's launching the new thing. So NBC took everything back.
Starting point is 00:42:37 CBS All Access. CBS All Access took everything back. I know. CW took everything back. I know. You know, FX now took everything back. And you're looking at other Paramount and Epics are all creating big content. Yep.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Great content. Sundance TV. Sundance is create, they've created great content. A&E. A&E. They're creating great content. It's dropping in, you know. know.
Starting point is 00:43:00 Not A&E. I didn't mean A&E. Although they may actually have one. Yeah, they do because they're, you know, rest in peace, Beth Chapman and, you know, Dwayne the dog, Chapman. Their new show that Beth was on, you know, they were still filming when she died. That's coming on A&E. Yeah, but that's not a separate. That's just A&E.
Starting point is 00:43:17 That's not, they weren't. Yeah, yeah, okay. But they're creating content. They created content. Yeah. I was thinking of, uh, uh, um, C. Yes, AMC. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:27 And their AMC is, is creating content for AMC. and the streaming app. Yeah. So I don't know where the break point is. And again, if you put all the apps together, that's cable TV. Cable TV, yes. That's cable TV streaming.
Starting point is 00:43:44 Which I think that's what Apple is trying to do. When I saw that over the weekend, when I came home over the weekend, I saw that my Apple TV updated. And the first thing I said, welcome to Apple TV channels. And all it had was all those platforms that we just talked about under one umbrella and you pay for each of them and they'll add up at the end of the month. But see, you pay for each of them.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Okay, well, no. No, no, no. It's got to be a cable. Someone has to come up and you got to be able to pay one fee, get them all. Flip the bill for everybody where you, 1999. Here's an idea. 1999.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Every month, you get three and you swap them out. Are you tired of HBO now? Okay, slip it off for Sundance. But you get three channels a month and you flip them up. On the surface, I like that. I'll have to think about that for a little bit. Because that gives you, for example, I get Hulu live.
Starting point is 00:44:36 You could go binge a network for a month. I get Hulu live only for the summer. So I could watch AGT, vote, participate. Right. And then I cancel it. It's only for the month of the summer. It ends in August like the last week of August. You could do that.
Starting point is 00:44:55 I think you could get a lot of that through Roku too. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I got me, I also got me. I also got me a fire TV stick for upstairs. So you could, you know, you could just purchase that. And I think if you do kind of like...
Starting point is 00:45:05 If you get the Roku, actually, the Roku actually lets you, they, you can get whatever apps and, you know, let it down to your Roku, but they also allow you to watch big events live. Yeah, yeah, sports events too. Yeah. Yeah, sports events, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:23 So, I mean, they're getting into that where it's like, oh, we're going to give you that stuff to. Or you just do Slink TV. I think that's what we're all going for, which is kind of the same plan that I just said now. Sling TV pay monthly, which the blaze is on Sling TV. And it's up on Roku.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Yeah, Sling TV comes automatically on those non-apple products. Right. I mean, I mean, But you're right, something has to break. And I think out of the three big ones, one of the most... What has to break is they need to be free.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Hulu started free. They need to be free. Hulu started free. I remember the days. Yes, it did. Hulu was the platform where you missed it and you don't have DVR. You go to Hulu. They got it for you.
Starting point is 00:46:07 You catch it up. And now it's like what if you, now you can get the non-commercials. You pay, pay more. $3.99 on top of whatever you're paying. And then you get the regular Hulu with commercials. So you're paying and you get the commercials. And I hate networks like that. By the way, subscribe to BlazeTV.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Go to blazeTV. Go to blazetv. And you will get absolutely. nothing off. In fact, if you go to blazTV.com slash jeffy, they'll make you probably re-type in the address because they'll say this doesn't exist.
Starting point is 00:46:39 No, you just a price goes quadruple. I'm sorry? It's a price quadruples. Is that, are you trying to have some sort of fat joke or something? No, I'm just saying. Absolutely not. All right, we're done.
Starting point is 00:46:55 While you're watching Blaze TV, you need to subscribe to Blaze Podcast Network too. Like subscribe to chewing the fat with yours truly Jeff Fisher. What are you OJ Simpson? I know OJ. As I went back and I looked at OJ's videos as I spoke about it yesterday. I can't even speak.
Starting point is 00:47:13 And OJ starts them all off with, hey Twitter world, yours truly. Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly. That's all he does. It's fantastic. And don't forget to look for the new black super moon tonight over the U.S. Yeah, I know. don't look at me like that. Oh, listen, you're going to be able to,
Starting point is 00:47:30 you're not even going to be able to see it in the UK for, you know, for another few weeks, but you'll get you to see it. Right, take that. All right. But North America's, black moon is set to take place tonight. And, man, that sounds like,
Starting point is 00:47:47 sounds like actually nothing because you're not going to be able to see anything. It's just when you look up in the sky and it's black, hey, look, there's the, there's the black moon. Nothing. There's nothing there. So is your wife going to take out the camera or is that packed?
Starting point is 00:48:02 It is. That will never be packed. And I will like to say, I don't know, but you know, she is. You know, she is. Imagine photography, frame life photography, imagine productions, frame life photography. I've got to get it right. Jesus. What is that?
Starting point is 00:48:20 Imagine productions, frame life photography. That's her business. And so I'm sure she'll have it out. Sure she'll have it out. although it's the black moon so I mean if you just put the camera just take a picture of the dark nobody nobody won't know right look at that shot
