And now, a Blaze Media podcast.
Alert.
Alert.
Alert.
General Mills has announced today a national recall of five-pound bags of gold medal
unbeated all-purpose flour.
Oh, no.
How are we going to bake?
How are we going to bake?
What's wrong with it?
Do you think to yourself, it's flour?
It's flour.
What could possibly?
Yeah, it's potential E. coli.
So look, you want to use it?
Go ahead and use it.
But I would recommend that if you have the gold metal,
unbleached, all-purpose flour,
with the better used date of September 6th, 2020,
I would take it back.
Or, you know, you could throw it away and just waste your money.
But for me, I would take it back.
So a horrible story, a Texas A&M student, critical condition at a Houston hospital after being struck by a vehicle Saturday morning.
Speaking of Houston, side note, going to be underwater again soon as the tropical storm.
It's not really a, it was a tropical storm for about two minutes.
Then it made landfall, and now it's just a tropical depression dropping all kinds of rain all over Houston.
Yesterday, the report was,
Oh, it's fast moving, so no problem.
It made landfall stopped.
Is it doing the whole thing that Cousin Dorian did?
Yeah.
No, actually, this is doing what Harvey did.
Oh, so it's just not as big as Harvey.
It's just not as big as Harvey.
And it is moving, and it's coming through Texas.
It's not giving you the full weather report,
but just know that that's why Houston is underwater.
If you thought to yourself,
hey, we're on vacation and we were just cutting
through Houston, why do we need a boat?
That's why.
So back to the Texas A&M
University student in critical condition.
She got
struck early Saturday morning
as she and some of her friends were walking
near the campus
by a hit and run.
So the driver,
17 year old Pedro
Damien Puga.
Puga.
What is it?
Puga. That's what I said.
Puga.
No, Puga.
That's what I said.
said, Puga.
Yeah, Puga.
Charged with intoxication assault, evading arrest, and fleeing the scene of an accident.
Now, she's really hurt bad, and they've started to go fund me, and if you can help, please help her.
You know, the Beatty family is, you know, in need of all the help they can get.
This is going to take, you know, a long time for her to recover, and it's horrible.
It was reported that he fled the scene after he hit her.
After he hit her, he went up to a parking lot down the road, stopped, got out, looked at the damage, got back in, drove away.
The police found him, and he led him on a foot chase.
But he said, I probably could have beat him, but I had just taken Xanax and cocaine earlier in the night.
So what do you expect of him?
To run?
Yeah.
Jeffrey,
how many times do you run after you take a Sanex in some cocaine?
In the arrest report,
Puga told police.
Puga, yeah.
I don't deal with laws.
Really?
That's interesting.
Is it pulling out a couple?
Because we do.
Because we do.
Funny how, you know, you almost kill this girl.
And you don't deal with laws because we do, my friend.
Yeah, he doesn't deal with the law.
If your name is Puga, he doesn't deal with laws.
Now, this is his third.
rest in seven months.
All right.
Why is this guy,
this punk?
They gave him bond for this particular
charge too.
And apparently he posted the bond
of $26,000.
This is where the judge needs to be questioned.
What are you doing giving this punk bond?
What are you doing?
That's ridiculous.
And what's his name again?
Damien.
No, Pedro, Damien.
Puga.
Puga.
Puga.
Yes, I said Puga.
So I wonder, is Houston a sanctuary city?
Oh, I'm sure it is.
That's why.
Still, though.
Almost kill a girl.
And this was at Texas A&M, so that's not Houston.
She's in Houston at the hospital because of her damages.
But this was at, you know, College Station, where Texas A&M is.
Oh, college station, yeah.
So, I mean, I know he doesn't deal with laws.
That's a baller answer though
I don't want to give him credit
But if you think about it
That's a baller right there
I don't deal with laws
Boller
He might as well just mic drop and put glasses
And that's what happened
I mean that's what they
That was the mic drop was just getting arrested right
Yeah yeah exactly
Yeah yeah and look I could I could outrun you guys
But I took some X and cocaine earlier than I yeah
How many times have they heard that?
that before.
Yeah.
Boller.
Couldn't do it.
And he still gets off.
It still with Bond.
It works for him.
It works for him.
Come on.
You're a 17-year-old punk.
If it works for you, go right ahead.
I don't support it.
I don't agree on it.
But if it works for you,
baller.
Well, if you can help Carly Baby in any way.
Definitely.
What works a go-foam you page?
Just her name?
Yes.
Okay, good.
Jeffrey will tweet it out.
I will tweet the link.
But, and if you can help, great.
Anything.
And if you can help, you should help.
Absolutely.
But if you can, no, I better not say that.
No, no.
Do you have the weather report?
I don't deal with laws.
I don't deal with laws, Chris.
So.
You're not going to talk to the weather report that's coming towards us tonight here in Dallas?
No, it's going to be on the, it's going to go east of us.
Is it?
Right?
That's what the report was, unless it's changed.
Last report I heard.
It said that Dallas might get 20 inches of rain.
Shut off.
It did not.
No, it did not.
That's completely changed then.
Tropical storm.
So according to this, it's going to go straight to Houston and up to Dallas, rain in Dallas 20 inches, expected.
No.
Okay.
Imelda moving ashore won't strengthen any further.
Yeah, we're strengthening state resources.
We got it.
Imelda
That's what I said
Imelda
Imelda
Yeah
Imelda
No not IMelda
Because we're in the eyes of the storm
names
The eyes of the storm names
Imelda
You can I call it India
Yes
Yes
I'll get job
The storming rain series
Concern of southeast Texas
Last with Houston
Galveston
Tragmeldah
Shows and storms
in North Texas.
Many will be left.
And this could, let's see, at this time,
the track of Amelda,
and its eventual remnants
look to bring the heaviest rain area
south of Interstate 20, east of Interstate 35.
So we're not getting
anything here.
Scattered showers, Dallas-Fort Worth,
Thursday and Friday,
that's nothing.
Where'd you see the 20 inches?
This is the guy, the guy,
the guy, his house blown by a tornado
that was nothing either.
That's kind of a good point.
What was that?
Those are out for the weather report.
I know.
What did it say?
Oh, it says something?
Let's hear it again.
Okay, here.
I heard something, so I mean, I thought I, oh, that's what caught me.
What is that?
What's he said?
I think it's a smart sound.
Smart sound.
Yeah.
Okay.
Smart's out.
That's our weather
weather report out.
Smart's out.
I realize today is
National Cheeseburger Day.
And I'm looking around the studio
and there's no cheeseburger.
It's very disappointed.
I don't know.
Maybe next time email me and tell me that it's not a
Cheeseburger Day and I'll get your cheeseburger
from McDonald's or.
I don't know.
Maybe a good producer of a program
would know what National Day it is.
I don't know what a good person looks like
so I need you to give you an example.
That's a good point.
You need an example?
Yes.
Aren't you from the producer world?
I am.
I am.
I am.
So please show me a good example of a good producer,
and I'll follow up,
and I'll get you some cheeseburger.
I'll give you an example right now.
Go for it.
A good producer would have known
that it's National Cheeseburger Day,
and Cheeseburger would be here.
Okay, I'll make a note of that for the next year.
I'll make sure September, what?
However.
However, but we're going to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day
on the 19th.
So I could get you a cheeseburger tomorrow.
We're going to celebrate tomorrow.
Okay, so.
I've already decided we're going to celebrate.
Do you want me to be in a cheeseburger tomorrow?
You know what?
Oh my gosh.
Tomorrow is the 19th of September, right?
Yes.
Today, if you're listening to this podcast live.
Not possible.
You're listening to it live, like I said.
Actually, if you listen to the Blaze Radio Network, yes, you're listening live.
It's, yeah, I don't know.
Oh, now you, now you draw the live.
the light in that one.
That you show the light.
It's the 18th of September,
which means tomorrow
is the 19th of September.
Meaning what?
That's my wife's birthday.
Oh, are you coming to work?
Are you taking it off?
I mean, did I ever tell you a story
about working on the day
my children were born?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So do you think I'm going to take
a birthday off?
Yes.
My anniversary is the 22nd,
so I'm taking that day off.
Oh, shut up.
Yeah, September 22nd.
What?
I'm taking the day off.
No, you are not.
Okay.
No, if you expect to have a job.
Oh, that's on a Sunday, so you can take it off.
That's fine.
I want you to take it off.
Oh, thank you.
You know what?
I'll be reminded this weekend.
I won't email you on Sunday.
Oh, thank you.
You don't email you?
I'll only send texts.
Oh, you do email Sundays for Walking Dead.
Yeah, you do.
And I've had some other stuff too, but I'll...
No, walking dead's the only ones that I see.
Everything else I delete.
How about it?
filter that on Sundays only emails from walking dead I get.
Well,
these something's going through.
But we talked a little bit about it on Pat today.
I did Pat unleashed for my chewing the fat segment.
KFC is now trying to join the chicken sandwich fight
as they launch their chicken sandwich
in donuts, in glazed donut,
a glazed donut chicken sandwich.
Where are they getting their donuts from?
Now, they're saying they're making the donuts there.
Yeah, that's their own donuts and they're going to dip them in fresh glaze into the chicken sandwich.
Do I want to trust that chain to provide me with good donuts?
Can I'm a KFC's fine.
I don't mind KFC.
I don't mind it either, but.
You can get them separate.
They've got, you know, there's several things you can that are on the menu that, you know, change up that you can get from KFC with the, you know, you get the donuts on the side.
So I could get a dozen donuts.
But I've had donut burgers before.
Oh, really?
I never had.
I like donuts.
I like donuts, glazed donuts separately.
I know this is going to come as a surprise.
What?
You like donuts?
I know. Wow.
And I like burgers.
What?
I know.
Jeffie, stop it.
One more heartbreaking news like that.
I think you'll break the internet.
First, you like donuts and you like burgers.
Dude, stop.
Okay.
You can tell me you like chocolate milkshakes.
If I say it, I'll break the internet, so I don't want to say it.
But I've had at the, when we did the fair,
thing when I had the donut burger at the fair.
It was not that
didn't go over that good.
There's too much sweetness in the glazed
donuts. That's what I think is going to throw me off.
The sweet and
especially with a chicken sandwich,
I want that.
Maybe if they give it if it's an extra crispy
piece of chicken, maybe.
But the problem I'm having is that the donuts
are too soft.
I need a bun that is toasted.
How can you toast a donut?
Are they toasting donuts?
No, they're going to be heated
dipped in fresh glazed.
See, I need something toasted
to match what I'm about to eat.
Get KFC on the line.
Get KFC on the line, all right.
Did you see where,
and we talked a little bit about this morning too
where, I don't know if we talked about it,
about Popeye's or the Bring Your Own Bun?
Yes.
Do we talk about it?
Yeah.
So anyway,
I don't remember what we talk about on the show.
Well, you give and give and give and give and give.
You talk about bringing your own bun.
It's, and we tied that to like the whole chicken thing, right?
Yeah, yeah, that's right.
Because really, that's what I said.
What are they out of?
The chicken or the bun?
Yeah, exactly.
Like my man said.
What did you man say?
When he was in line?
What?
They out of chicken or they're just out of the sandwiches?
And that's a fair question.
You know there's no more chicken?
There's just no more.
Yeah, definitely fair question.
Definitely fair question.
So there was news last night about the big Ed Buck, a big dem donor.
And if you don't know, it doesn't matter that you don't know who he is.
Just know that he's a prominent Democratic donor.
And he's had a couple people in this past year die at his house from overdoses.
And they let him, you know, he, you know, they let him off.
He's fine.
Don't worry about it.
There's another person dying at Ed's house.
Don't worry.
They overdosed at his house.
It's fine.
Wow.
So he just had another 37-year-old man overdose.
Now, the man survived.
But they just said, you know, he overdosed at the house.
And they were like, okay, Ed.
We have to figure this now.
We're going to arrest you and charge you with maintaining a drug house.
Eh, he'll get off on that.
I think so, too.
Yeah, that's not even a real charge.
Look, is it a bad thing that he's bringing men into his house
and then injecting them with large doses of methamphetamine?
And then making them do.
whatever he wants them to do.
Jeffrey as an expert on this side of the field.
Is that a lot?
Is that a lot of bodies coming out of that house and body bags?
You're not supposed to be doing that.
Do we need to create a hashtag Ed Buck buddy count?
No doubt.
Pretty close, yeah.
And we had the hashtag Clinton buddy count.
So do we need to, I want for hashtag Ed Buck buddy count?
So I guess from his home in a position of power,
He manipulates his victims
into participating in his sexual fetishes.
Nope.
He's not manipulating anybody.
These fetishes include supplying and personally administering
dangerously large doses of narcotics.
I don't think these people are being forced.
I don't think so either.
This is a whole freaking Me Too movement.
Moore who was homeless and worked as a prostitute died at Buck's home in July
his journal, which reviewed a more blamed Buck for his drug addiction.
Okay.
It's very easy. You say no. I don't want you to inject me with methamphetamine.
Is that what you would do?
Yes.
It would say, hey, can you come to my house?
Oh, yeah, I can come to my house. Yeah.
Sure, I want you to stop by because once you get here, I'm going to give you drugs.
What do you mean? Well, I'm sorry?
No, I'm going to inject drugs in you.
You're going to inject drugs in me.
And then I'm going to have you do different sexual things.
I'm sorry, Mr. Buck. No, I don't want you to inject drugs in me.
I could do it myself, this would be safe, but I want you inject.
drugs in me.
What about the whole sexual thing?
We'll talk about that, but I don't want you touching me.
Right.
And I'm not coming.
By the way, that $10,000 check I gave you, yeah, I want that back.
He's charged with battery causing serious injury and administering methamphetamine and
maintaining a drug house.
I didn't realize that administering methamphetamine.
That's a charge?
But I'm sorry.
You know, you get into this story and it's fun to talk about it and it's bad to think about what's happening to the people.
But it's called no.
It sure is.
I don't know.
Dare said it for the longest time.
Say no to drugs.
It works.
Yes.
I never done drugs.
Jeffie, have you?
Oh.
Just say no.
So as long as we're on death counts and, you know, starting death counts for a different thing.
Body counts.
Body counts.
Body counts is better.
That's way too serious.
Body counts.
All right, as long as we're on body count.
There we go.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We're going to add a new name Kevin Spacey to the Kevin Spacey body count.
Do I need a new hashtag?
Yes.
Hashtag Spacey body count?
So the massage therapist who sued Kevin Spacey for sexual assault.
Add it to the body count.
Wow.
Under Kevin Spacey, yeah.
The lawyers for Spacey filed the notice saying, hey, we were notified.
He's dead.
We don't know how it happened.
You know what's going on?
Sure.
Remember that episode on House of Cards?
Yeah, I do.
When the chick is in the, trying to get into the, what was that, a train?
A subway.
A subway?
Yes.
And, you know, she's just standing there.
Someone, a sinister villain.
Yes.
Just pushes her.
And what you see on video is her jumping in front of the train.
She committed suicide.
It's horrible.
Now, there was a hooded villain.
What?
That you see in the one video, which you can't make out who it is.
Oh, okay.
Now, we as fans know who it is and know what happened.
It was an amazing scene.
It was one of the best scenes in Netflix thrown out there.
100%.
Nobody saw it coming.
It was 100% great.
So do we put this under Frank body count?
Or Spacey's body count?
I think this is Spacey, man.
This is Spacey, not Frank?
Yeah, because this guy sued him under an anonymous,
John Doe, that shouldn't be legal.
But he claimed that...
But still, Jeffrey, they're allowed to do that.
But this guy alleged
that he was there
as Kevin's masseur
at his house in Malibu.
And he said that
Spacey's hand guided his
to his private parts.
Also accused
Spacey of grabbing
his shoulders in an attempt to kiss him
and trying to fondle his genitals.
Was he hanging up with Cabana?
Right.
Because Kevin,
according to New York Times,
it happened to him too.
Someone grabbed his penis
and thrust it to someone else.
These charges are just the ledge charges now,
and, you know, they go away.
Because darn the luck, man.
Look at the time, Jeffrey.
I know.
Look at the time.
I know.
So I'm about to sue Kevin Spacey.
he touched my
up
case over
dismissed
we're having a nice day
hey as long as we're on entertainment
wait body countenetic
yeah yeah yeah
you listen to us is entertaining
yeah uh
we spoke of Netflix
right I mean that Kevin Spacey
House Cars Netflix and actually that was
I mean I know
I know we're not supposed to talk about Kevin Spacey
and Netflix anymore
that's just gone
but House of Cards was
pretty huge for Netflix, man.
Absolutely, yeah.
That helped put them on the map with their own content.
Yeah, with the drama, original.
That's right, man.
So you can badmouthed Kevin all you want, man.
That's why so much of this was swept under the wrong.
And Kevin, by now saying,
Kevin keeps grabbing my janitals.
Shut up.
He's making us hundreds of millions of dollars.
Shut up.
I mean, that's exactly what happened.
Kevin, right now saying, how about a thank you?
I grabbed you and how about a thank you?
Do I get to be in House of Cards?
Here, let me move closer.
No, that's wrong.
That's wrong.
Oh, no, that's wrong.
But I do not do this.
Kevin, you could grab me all you want.
I do not recommend that at all.
In House of Cards.
I do not recommend that.
No, that's wrong.
Completely wrong.
Jeffrey, you're telling me that, Kevin Spacey.
Don't get me involved in here.
Jeffie, if you're telling me right now, Kevin Space is still making House of
cards he's sitting right in front of you and he says Jeffie let me just grab your penis
you're gonna say no so Netflix has scored the rights to stream uh Seinfeld I'm so happy about
that amazing in 2021 there's no word on how much they paid for it but Jerry Seinfeld
billions how is it Jeffie answer me this question how is it that a show is made in the 90s
finished in 1999 is still making millions of dollars I know because first Hulu grabbed it
and it was part of the Hulu deal where like hey
Hey, come watch us with Seinfeld.
And then now, Netflix is like, hey, don't worry, we lost the office, we lost friends.
But guess what?
We got to Seinfeld because Hulu was like, I don't want it anymore.
Netflix's like, hey, hey, want to join?
Come on.
Perfect example.
Martin, the guy that runs board, he only has Hulu for Seinfeld.
When I told him the news today, he's like, I have to buy Netflix.
So it's working for Netflix.
you know, in a year.
No, he said now.
I told him that it's next month.
Hopefully.
Damn Netflix hasn't put it up yet.
Yeah, no.
You got to wait another year.
It's 2021.
You got to wait another year.
So don't tell them that.
But, you know, look, I mean, you got the streaming services again.
I know.
But you already have Netflix, so it doesn't matter.
I know.
But then, yeah.
And you already have Hulu.
It doesn't matter.
You got Apple.
Yeah, we've already talked about this.
I already made you a budget.
I've made you the budget.
You're fine.
I know.
I wanted to talk about that, too.
That's what I wanted.
That's why I was talking about because we didn't talk about the blaze on that.
We didn't put that in the listeners.
Listeners were quite angry at me.
Yeah, sorry.
See, here's the thing.
For us, we pay it, but we don't see it because it's like.
I'm more of the I don't see it part.
Wait, you don't pay for it?
When you say us and don't?
I pay $9.95.
Absolutely.
Yes, every month through PayPal.
Thank you.
$9.95 goes to the Blaze account.
Thank you.
We appreciate it.
You should absolutely subscribe to the place.
I feel like you're not paying.
You're due.
What?
What?
Do you mean someone who was here at the very beginning,
the starting of the network,
who started the network under GBTV.
You're not paying the 995?
So did you see Lily Singh
the YouTuber get her late late show debut last night?
We talked about it, but we didn't talk about it here.
Was it good?
No.
It wasn't good or you didn't watch it?
I didn't watch it.
Oh, okay.
Because, you know, the late night TV's new leading lady, man.
On the, what was the late, late show?
Oh, a little late with Lily.
sing.
Comes on at the, I don't know,
middle of the night.
Enjoy it.
Have fun.
YouTube has made another star, right?
This is a bisexual chick, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Make millions off of YouTube.
And we told her not to do this deal.
Thank you.
It's going to be the ruin of her.
I know.
Lily, you're going to come back crying to me.
I'll be here for you, baby.
It's okay.
Those of you listening on September 18th,
2019 to the Chewing the Fat podcast,
it's a big night on Fox television tonight
as we come to the season 10 finale of Master Chef.
One of the finalists, Nick DiGiovanni,
has gone from this.
I think you're on to something.
Today I brought you a handmade lamb ravioli.
I have to say, like, I totally expected to not like this.
And it's really good.
Amazing.
To tonight's two-hour finale.
Nick DiGiovanni, welcome to chewing the fat.
How are you?
I'm doing well.
Thank you so much for having me.
Absolutely.
So how bad did you pummel Sarah and Doreen?
Oh man, that's a good question.
Come on.
You do have to tune in at 8.
It's going to be fun.
I'm super excited.
Everyone's trying to get that inside scoop ahead of time, but you have to keep it secret.
Well, I realize that, but it's just between you and me is really.
Oh, I know.
I know.
Yeah, of course.
So it's been an exciting year, right?
I mean, you've been working hard.
We talked to Bree Baker last week on this podcast, and she was just, I mean,
disheveled down.
you pounded her into the ground.
You might as well just chopped her up and put her back in the oven,
really is what she was like.
So, I mean...
It's tough.
You know, Brie was really good,
and it was kind of crazy to see so many people who are, you know,
all amazing in so many different ways,
have to leave, you know, early.
You kind of feel like anyone that leaves,
it's too early, you know?
You have so much more to show.
Of course.
So were you...
you had to make a three-course meal,
or I'm sorry, you have to, not that you had to.
I mean, we're talking about Master Chef,
so tonight you're going to make a three-course meal, right?
That's the finals?
Yes, that's correct.
So how bad did you beat them by?
That's the question we're all asking.
Yes, it is.
So are you, has it been a fun season 10 for you,
or has it been draining or you just haven't realized how much you've been drained?
It's been a really fun season time.
I think, you know, it's a lot to take in all at once because you have all these homesets
that have never done anything before like this.
And then, you know, you throw them into this crazy environment where you're getting guidance
from such amazing people and, you know, you're under time pressures.
And so it's a lot.
But, you know, I've enjoyed every minute of it.
I think it's all been a good learning experience for me personally.
So I'm excited to kind of see how the rest of it plays out tonight.
Well, I mean, you're already, you know, hawking your wares out there.
I mean, you're selling your sweatshirt.
You know, you've already got that up to about, you know, a little over $2,000 for your sweatshirt.
I mean, what else are you going to hawk?
Are you hawking the master chef oven mitts?
Are you hawking the master chef?
flippers, what are you doing?
No, I thought that would be a good way to give that to a fan,
and then also we have some pretty fun projects coming up with the cast
that I can't talk about either, but there's a lot of stuff on the horizon.
So I think, you know, it's, I'm taking things one day at a time right now.
I think I'm still young, you know, I have a lot to figure out here,
but I'm just trying to figure it all out as I go.
Well, I take a side step away from Master Chef for a second.
I was reading where you spent time in China.
You obviously went to Harvard and you're Mr. Smart guy and you're talking down to all of us.
I got it.
But you spent some time in China.
How was that?
That was a really interesting experience.
I actually used to take Mandarin.
See what I mean.
You're talking down to us again.
That's what I mean.
No, no.
But I'm not very good at it, but I took that in high school,
and I thought I'd never really get to use it.
But that was fun to just go out there and immerse myself.
It was really cool.
I was trying all these new foods.
I think that's kind of the biggest thing, you know.
I like to do when I'm lucky enough to check out a new place.
It's just go around and figure out all the best foods that are there.
So that was the biggest thing.
Yeah, as, you know, I'm like 800 pounds right now.
And I believe me, I know about trying.
different foods. I'm with you. And I love
the idea of you. Thank you.
Yeah, the name of the show is chewing the fat.
My face is on a steak for the logo.
Nick, I'm a fan of food.
But I find it fascinating that
you're battling it out on television.
What's the difference?
You know, what we see,
like I'm familiar with what happens,
but some of our audience may not be.
From what we see on the
produced version of Master Chef,
How much does it throw you to have what doesn't make it to the camera on?
I mean, you guys are working hard and doing a lot of things that happening behind the scenes that we never see.
Does that throw you when you finally get to the final product?
I think that's why it's exciting for me to go and watch it every time and everyone.
Because you never know what's going to happen.
There's so much that goes into any production like that.
And I think the best memories are going to be the ones behind the scenes that, you know, we have with the cast.
even if it was just traveling to and from, you know,
wherever we were saying,
or if it was just kind of messing around waiting sometimes
for different things to happen.
I think those were all just, I don't know,
such natural and fun times.
So Bree was really bummed that she didn't get to go to London,
like you other big shots.
Yeah.
How was that?
Fantastic, sir.
I've never been there.
And, you know, it was cool.
It was a big surprise.
we went in and pulled the mystery box up and there was a flag there.
And that was all, you know, that was real genuine surprise.
We were, it was a sudden turnaround going from London,
play to London then.
But it was crazy.
I mean, I think he has a whole,
Gordon that has a whole other sort of fan base there that's almost different.
It's kind of a place he started.
So it was really cool to be there with him.
So tonight is the finale.
hour finale on Fox starts at
8 a.m. Eastern. And we
find out, we find out
8 p.m. I got it.
8 p.m. Eastern on Fox. I mean,
I got it. My
producers are my ear, PM. I know.
I understand.
So, how bad do you beat
them? How bad do you beat him?
8 p.m. on Fox.
Well, no, you're most connected
to that.
So, Nick, you have a home here in Irving, Texas,
at Mercury Studios. Anytime you want to stop by,
and you decide, you know, I don't know what I'm going to do today.
I know Mercury Studios, Irving, Texas, you can stop by and, you know, three-course meal is fine.
I mean, I'm not asking for four or five.
I'm not asking for four or five course.
Three course is fine.
So I just want to let you know that you're welcome.
You're always welcome.
Thank you so much.
Awesome.
I love it.
Enjoy the finale night.
Definitely tune and it's going to be a fun one.
Good luck.
Thank you.
I appreciate it, Nick.
Yeah, thank you so much.
Have a good one.
probably be fun to follow
him along on his Instagram
tonight during the show
Nick.D. Giovanni
on Instagram
and you know
I would
probably be fun to follow him all
actually on Instagram
as the episode progresses
tonight
and I have a feeling
and I could be wrong
I'm not taking any bets
I'm not you know
no gambling or anything
but I'm just saying
I have a feeling
it's a gut feeling
it's a gut feeling
Is it a gut feeling?
That he's the winner.
I think so too.
That he's the winner.
I mean, I've watched this show.
If you put the Jerry's...
I've watched this show since, oh, man,
since the beginning?
When was that?
Season zero.
Season zero.
How long as Master Shishers have been on it?
Ten seasons.
I said that in the interview.
Duh.
You know, this is their 200th episode.
Thank you.
I just had my 200 episode.
You just had the 200 yesterday.
So congratulations, Jeffrey.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
We're celebrating together with MasterShap.
Yes, you are.
Yes.
You don't be in a Master Chef.
Yeah.
You can't.
Who are the judges?
Well, I mean, Ramsey's the main one.
He's the main guy.
He's the main guy.
Well, of course, tonight they're bringing back
three of the specials that haven't been there in a while.
Yeah, who?
Well, you know, Joe Bastonich and Aaron Sanchez are going to be there.
Yeah.
They usually, that's for the finals, though.
No, they're always there.
They're always there.
All three of them are always there.
For the finals,
also,
no,
no,
no,
the judges are
they're going to reunite.
They've never separated.
Well,
they have.
They have.
If you watch the show,
you know,
they have.
I've watched the show
since season one.
And,
um,
the only ones that are still there
are Joe and
Chevramsey.
Aaron,
you know,
joined the last three seasons,
I believe.
It was a girl.
Well,
yeah,
I mean,
tonight they'll probably bring in,
I don't know,
uh,
Geron hurt.
Maybe,
uh,
yeah,
the previous winner.
Dino,
uh,
Angela,
Luciano and Sean O'Neill.
Yeah.
Previous winners.
Maybe Whitney Miller.
Bring it some of the previous winners.
Yeah.
They're bringing him on.
Yeah.
Jerome won last year.
So I mean, I'm sure that's probably what they'll do.
Because what happens is, you know, I think it was episode five, the master chef chefs
cooked for his wedding.
And they had a wedding, Master Chef's wedding for Jerome.
Did you not talk down to me?
Oh, I'm trying.
Like I haven't seen these episodes.
I don't think you have.
I don't think you have.
Huh.
It's weird.
What days is the air?
It's across like that.
What days is the air?
Wednesday nights on Fox.
Duh.
And Thursdays.
Sometimes they've been aired on Thursday.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But today's, you know.
Today's a special.
Special episode's Wednesday, midweek.
I want to get that in because probably,
you know, got Thursday night football and stuff,
so they don't want to get that finale in on.
I hate you so much because people will actually believe
that you watch this from season zero.
Enjoy the show.
This weekend, I read a story that moved me, moved me.
Before you do that, I just want to tell you that we have cookies.
Just right now from our friend.
So you can keep talking.
Alicia, send us cookies.
So I'm going to go get them.
Just don't freak out when I leave.
Because you should freak out when I leave this room.
So I'm going to go get cookies.
Okay.
Freaking out is not the proper terminology.
You get upset when I leave.
That's proper terminology in the middle of the show.
Yes.
I look up and, oh, they got another producer.
He just goes, let me just walk away.
That's all.
No problem.
Don't worry about it.
So I wanted to talk about a story that moved me.
And what reminded me of this story is I saw a story today that showed how a guy was swimming in this river
and it appeared as though he was drowning.
And an elephant, there was.
was a herd of elephants on the other side of this river and one of the elephants rushed into the
water and saved this guy, you know, appeared to save this guy because the elephant thought this
human was drowning and pushed him to the side. And it was, it was, you know, an amazing thing
how this elephant would see a human or, you know, another being appearing to drown in the
river and thinking I have to go save him and did so. And that reminded me of the story that I read
this weekend that moved me.
In 1986,
Peter Davies was on a holiday in Kenya
after graduating from Louisiana State University.
On a hike through the bush,
he came across a young bull elephant standing...
Don't worry my story.
No. No. Don't do it.
I read this story on Facebook.
It means a lot to me.
I apologize.
All right.
I'm serious.
This story touched me.
Okay.
All right.
I saw that Eric Butts posted this on his Facebook page this weekend.
And I read the story and seriously, it touched me.
Okay.
And I don't want your little fun and games during the story because it means too much to me.
In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Louisiana State University.
On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air.
The elephants seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully.
He got down on one knee, inspected the elephant's foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it.
As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife,
after which the elephant gingerly put his foot down.
The elephant turned to face the man and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments.
Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled.
Eventually, the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned and walked away.
Peter never forgot that elephant, or the events of that day.
Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenage son.
as they approached the elephant enclosure
one of the creatures
turned and walked over
to near where Peter and his son Cameron
were standing. The large bull
elephant stared at Peter, lifted
his front foot off the ground, then put it
down. The elephant did that
several times and then trumpeted
loudly all the while staring
at the man. Remember
the encounter in 1986
Peter could not help
wonder if this was the same elephant.
He summoned up his current
and climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure.
He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder.
The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped his trunk around one of Peter's legs,
and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.
Probably wasn't the same effing elephant.
This is for everyone who sends me those heartwarming BS stories.
Download and subscribe to more content at the blaze.com slash podcasts.
I think that's my new favorite story of all time, my elephant story.
It's just a reminder that those heartbreaking stories that you read and make you think and well up,
some days you just can't take it anymore.
And, of course, we had Nick Di Giovanni from Master Chef.
You're excited to watch it tonight because you're a big fan.
You're not going to be able to pull me away from the screen.
I know.
You're not going to be able to pull me away from the screen.
text each other as they're cooking all three meals?
I don't know if I'm going to have time to live tweet it and text each other.
She should live tweet it, yes.
I'm actually going to bring back my social media just for this.
You mean bring back your social media?
I haven't tweeted in August 30th.
What's the last time I tweeted?
Why?
I mean, I miss you.
I know.
I know.
It sucks being a producer with social media.
I actually, the only reason that I do miss you is because you, is because you, you
you would tweet the show link out then i could just retweet it to be done with it i don't have to worry about
it now i got to think about it myself maybe i should not bring back my social media just for that
but uh fLA wfla they do it all the time yes they do i love them they're yeah the mothership
by the way jack harris's birthday today happy birthday jack harris i love you bless your heart
guys like 150 years old and still on the air still on the air still on the way jack harris's birthday
Because he knows.
Wow.
He knows.
He knows the rule, man.
Like, he's still taking a...
What rule?
He takes a bunch of time off and he travels around stuff, but he's still working.
Anytime you're in radio, you retire?
Dead.
Dead.
Really?
You can't retire.
Is that a thing?
Yes.
My wife is like...
Wow.
We joke around about me not retiring, but my wife is like, you're not retiring.
I don't know that was a thing.
Any radio guy.
Okay.
I'm going to retire.
I would go to the ranch.
You know, if I got a home, I'm going to...
to the rent cancer.
No, I just want,
look, I've been on radio for 40 years,
and it's time for me to give it up,
he's want to retire,
spent some time with the family,
dead.
Three months later, dead.
That's sad.
So.
Do you better not retire?
Yeah, Jack Harris, no,
don't know, keep going, my man.
I know those are a rule.
That's a good rule.
I'll writing that down.
Don't retire from radio.
Do not, man.
If you're in radio, you should not retire.
No, just do not retire.
Do not retire.
You know, take the time off, still do, you know, do this, this,
but you got to be, still got to be doing the thing.
So, still got to have the hands on.
This is like the queen Elizabeth.
Yeah.
You're in until the end.
Yeah.
Hmm.
I didn't know that.
I didn't know.
I'm okay with it, but I mean, I didn't know that going in.
But I'm okay with it now.
I mean, I have to be.
Yeah.
Otherwise, what is he going to do?
I'm not okay with it.
I'm going to read dead.
You almost died.
Now, there have been people that get out of radio.
you know, early.
Okay, and does that count?
Well, I know.
Hang on, I guess, now that I think about it.
So the trick is not to retire.
The trick is to move away and do something else.
Yeah.
I guess that would be the trick.
Yeah.
So do something else.
Hey.
So you're going to stay.
So you're going to stay.
Is there anything?
What?
There's a lot of things, Jeff Fisher.
No.
There's a lot of things.
Like why?
You get this.
Learn to code.
I did that.
I did that at the end of last year.
I went to the hospital.
No, I know they called the code.
I know they called the code on you.
I learned to code, you know, like apps, marketing.
You can do marketing.
You're a good marketer.
From the one year that we spent together,
you know how to spin and make it look positive out of poop.
I give you a pile of poop and somehow you create this masterpiece.
I could do that.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's actually, that's a good, that's a good from home.
People call you, hey, I need a pitch.
Okay, here we go.
Well, I kind of like that.
Yeah, it's pretty good.
It's funny.
I have to be home?
Can I have some place to go?
No, yeah, you could go from anywhere, but usually people, you know,
2019, they do their jobs from home.
Because I think it was a couple days ago.
I'm home, though, then.
True.
That is true.
That's where other people are.
Yes.
So I don't know, maybe do an office, you know, rent a little room.
We work, maybe.
We work.
Yeah, there's one here.
And you could get free beer, remember?
We talked about it.
Oh, you don't drink anymore.
So free jewels, I think they give out, oh, you don't do that anymore.
I don't think we work.
It works for you.
All right, well, never mind.
But I was talking to some people.
PR is the new thing that people do that, they're like, they want to disrupt their like work life.
They've been doing like selling stuff and then boom, PR.
And it works.
That is so weird.
But that doesn't, but just because there's a lot of them doesn't make them good.
No, but they're getting money in.
Can you say that where you are right now in this moment of your life?
At Jeffrey JFR, Jeff Fisher Radio on Instagram and Facebook, contact me.
I'll spend you.
It's a number that I can call it?
I'll spend you.
Yeah, you can call that number, but that's the CTF hotline.
That's the, I don't want to keep it.
Okay, that's powered by.
That's powered by Patriot mobile.
Area code.
214?
Yeah, that sounds right.
735.
That sounds right.
9356.
That sounds right too.
There it is.
So let me see if you are right.
214, 735, 9356.
Oh my gosh, you're right.
Yeah.
You can't memorize it, though.
That's another rule, right?
That is a rule.
That's another rule.
Jeffrey was a phone number.
You can't memorize it.
You got to look at it.
You start remembering it, fired.
Well, radio has a lot of rule.
Is there another one?
I'll think of them as a common along.
All right.
We should write this down.
Think about it.
Okay, well, write them down.
I have.
Well, then we're good.
Yeah, but we need more.
Don't be stealing.
We can't sell a book on two lines.
Want to bet?
True.
Michael knows this a book about nothing.
So.
Thank you.
He's at the Delhi wire making it.
Yeah.
Right?
Yeah.
Damn it.
fucking easy stuff like that
just drop in our laps
maybe it already has
yeah but we don't follow through
we suck at that part
yeah we come up with ideas
we give them for free
and like
this dessert section
has really bumped me out
I gotta tell you that
I had a couple of animal stories
I was gonna do
it is my fault
I had a couple of really
good funny stories I was gonna do
and I just now I just want to end it
literally
Don't quit.
No.
Don't memorize the show.
Number.
Yeah.
Well, I have to look at 8-8-90-33-93.
By the way, that's why I had to put those big numbers up on the wall above the door.
I know.
That was my call on that.
I know.
Thank you.
That's why I had to do it.
So I didn't have to remember it.
So you don't get fired?
Correct.
Why did you hesitate?
Correct.
I wanted people to think that.
I was doing it for them.
Oh, okay.
It wasn't just about me,
but really,
it was just about me.
It was just about me.
