Starting point is 00:00:01 And now, a Blaze Media podcast. How many Gmail e-mail accounts are you allowed? I think it's unlimited, right? One. No. No, I think it's unlimited because I have multiple Gmail accounts. So you've got burner emails. When companies ask, we need an email address to okay something,
Starting point is 00:00:20 you know, you set up a new Gmail account and go, okay, that's it. No, no, you just have one email account that is you junk email account. Everybody has that one. Mine is in Yahoo. Oh. That's my junk one. I had one. I had one that was an MSN account.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Ooh. And I'd go back into the MSN account ever so often just to make sure it was okay and still there. And I had all kinds of phone numbers and addresses and stuff in that email. And then between Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Texas, I didn't go into it for a while. and I tried to get back into it not long ago, it's gone. It's gone. It's history. Have a nice day.
Starting point is 00:01:05 You know they'd purge all those accounts. It's gone. And I thought, well, maybe I'll try to get back in and try to redo it. Yeah, it's gone. All that stuff is gone. So somewhere, somebody in MSN has got my email. Did you call them? No, I was on the phone for hours with them.
Starting point is 00:01:22 It was on hold, and I just never got through to anybody. No, I didn't go. No. I did not. But I have chewing the fat at the blaze.com. Right. And then I have another Blaze account. And then I have a couple of Glenn Beck accounts.
Starting point is 00:01:40 And then how many of yours? How many are you supposed to have? One. Okay, that's all I have. Just one email account. Chewing the fat at the blaze.com. It's the only one I have. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:36 So if you're looking for a part-time job. Oh, I. am. Here's one. Well, this is for me. Not you, pal. Go find another one. Okay. Because I believe I gave you this idea. So can I also use it? So I don't think it's just for one person. I think multiple people can apply to this. Let's find out, shall we? We're looking for someone to review a wide variety of cannabis products to give our readers an honest and reliable insight on various cannabis products. they have to live in a state in America or Canada where medical marijuana is legal.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Wait a minute. I don't longer live in Texas. I don't live in Texas. No, I don't live in Texas. No, I don't live in Texas. I live in whatever state medical marijuana is legal in. Yeah, like California. That's where I live now.
Starting point is 00:03:27 Colorado. The guy living, you know what? I commute. I commute. I commute. California and Colorado, yeah. That's a lot of gas. Well, so you definitely did this is part-time gig.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Yeah, I did this. Yeah, you definitely need this part. 36 grand a year. Well, that's not bad for just smoking. Right? But it's smoking and writing. I did. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:45 Okay. The applicant will have to write about their honest reviews and opinions of the product in the form of a blog. Can I dictate it and then someone else write it? So they must be comfortable in front of a camera since the job includes unboxing videos and explainer videos of how each cannabis product performs and differs from other. Okay. I'm in. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Smile for the camera. Camera's on. Okay. Okay. You saw that I took it out of the box and I put it in the bowl. It had an aroma that filled the house, filled my lungs comfortably. And wow, it snuck up on you really fast like that. It just comes up on you so fast. And they're looking for our, and it says here, a guy, so they don't want to be. women. They're looking for a guy who also has extensive knowledge
Starting point is 00:04:58 of marijuana to educate our readers. I'm in. This job, get these people on the phone. Seriously, we have to talk to these people. What's the name? You haven't said the name of the company yet. I want this gig.
Starting point is 00:05:09 3,000 a month. Oh, up to, oh, up to three grand a month. Do they provide the weed? Explain details. Receive free cannabis products. See, there it is. Sent on a monthly basis
Starting point is 00:05:23 to your address for, testing. This may not be for everybody, but it is for me. And let's see, we have to go to another page. Can you stop with the thing, with the, with the save a tree thing you're on now? I don't know what that means. Okay. What that means is you're printing stories on both sides of the paper. Yeah, Greta, Greta Thornman, you know, convinced me. Thorntberg, by the way. No, Thornburg. Thornburg. And she convinced me that we're going to die. So might as well, you know, help us. If we're going to die, then let's not worry about it. The applicant must be 18 years old and are required to send the following.
Starting point is 00:06:00 I need a bio and a resume. No problem. Headshot or preferably a link to a 60-second intro video talking about your passion for position. My passion for smoking pod and doing reviews on camera, I can't tell you how excited I am. At least six, I mean, attach links to existing social media accounts and at least six. Six street names, slang terms, or nicknames for marijuana. So we know that you're taking this seriously. So when you talk about marijuana, you can't say MJ or...
Starting point is 00:06:35 Well, you could say MJ. Oh, you can say MJ? That's okay. MJ pot, right? I can say pot? Weed. Can I call it? Herb street...
Starting point is 00:06:45 Street backo. That's my own street term. That's how street I am. Street backo. Go ahead. I see Googling. Let me Google slang terms for pot. Hash.
Starting point is 00:07:02 Can I call it hash? Hashish is a different than Papa. Okay, it's a little different. But hash is a little different. Aunt Mary. Skunk. Boom. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Shiba. Shiba. Oh, Shiva's good. Blanket. Broccoli. Those are stupid. Ding. Ganga.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Gasper. Ganges. Gengal smoke? Genga. Well, Ganga's another one. We've added it to the list, Genga. Giggle smoke? Giggle smoke. Roach.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Roach's? Well, roaches is the end of the joint. Hot stick. Hot stick, yeah. Good butt. Good butt. Like that. Oh, this are the ones.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Okay, so if your marijuana has heroin in it, it's called a atom bomb. If your marijuana has heroin in it, you've moved beyond just smoking pot. my friends and it's not medical marijuana anymore. A-bomb. A-bomb? If marijuana... M-bomb. If your marijuana has PCP, it's called chips.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Again, if you're putting additions to your marijuana into your smoking device, whether it be a joint, a rolled cigarette, or a bowl, you've moved past that. What about if I put some LSD on my marijuana? Again. We'll call that LBJ. Again. What about if I put a little bit of crack on it and I call it a crackback? Again.
Starting point is 00:08:31 What about some cocaine? I put some cocaine in marijuana at Cocoa Pop. Cocoa. I'm a fan. I'm a fan, but I'm just saying they're not going to let you get the gig for that. What if I put like a little bit? This pot isn't bad, but if I put LSD on it, no, that's not, you're not getting the gig for that. But I might have put a little bit of alcohol and marijuana and call it Urban Al.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Oh, Urban Al. I like that. Just soak it. So you have a little alcohol on. The promoter of this job is Americanmarijuana.org. Get a hold of these people. Seriously, I want to talk to them. Americanmarijuana.org.
Starting point is 00:09:07 We have to talk to these people. Applicant must be at least 18 years old or otherwise have reached the legal age under the laws of the state where you reside in. Well, I reside in two, California and Colorado. So either one. Only residents in the state of the United States of Canada where marijuana is, okay, employees of Americamarijuana.org, their family members or anyone connected to the foundation of
Starting point is 00:09:29 Americamarijuana.org in any way shall not be permitted to participate. So the same rules we got when we... They shall select one applicant from the entire list of eligible applicants. Whoa. Oh, it's only one slot? The applicant will be selected based on their knowledge and experience with marijuana and medical cannabis, paid up to three grand a month,
Starting point is 00:09:48 or 36,000 yearly, depending on their experience and their capabilities. The chosen applicant will be notified. On December 4th, let me turn the page over. We contacted via email, via email, via email, within seven days at the closing date. If the applicant fails to reply to the 10 days' notification, you're out. The applicant acknowledges that their participation in the cannabis product reviewer position will be as an individual contractor, which means you're not paying any tax. They're paying you up front,
Starting point is 00:10:19 then you're going to have to take care of all of that. Yeah, you're a contractor, basically. Must not be affiliated with any third-party organizations and or agencies. There'll be no cash alternative to the position we're offering and the position is not transferable. Okay. The applicant agrees to use his or her name
Starting point is 00:10:37 and image in any public material, any personal data related to the applicant and the particular. So I can't be Mr. X with a hood over my head? Well, sure you could, but good luck getting the gig. We must talk to Americamarijuana.org. Americamarijuana.org. I wonder if they just mean like one position per state?
Starting point is 00:11:02 Per legal state? Or just one guy. That guy's going to be busy. One guy gets the gig. They're sending it once a month. Once a month, you have to break open the box, film yourself open in the box, the excitement of it, the excitement of the delivery.
Starting point is 00:11:19 I'm already telling you how to do your job. So if you get the gig, that's what you need to do. You want to the excitement of the delivery. You want to be able to, you want to film the delivery coming, coming in, you're bringing into your home, opening the box. You're excited. Bring the family in. Make it a family affair.
Starting point is 00:11:35 And then it's just you who is doing the review of whatever cannabis product, whatever herb, whatever weed, whatever butt, whatever street gongia that you're smoking. is a part of it. I mean, I wonder how long this gig could last, though. How much money is Americanmarijuana.org bringing in to be able to do this? It's pretty huge.
Starting point is 00:12:00 It's a lot of money. Anyway, good luck. God bless. So there are approximately 21.5 million people in the United States who have substance use disorders. including 1.3 million between the ages of 12 and 17. And for every person with a substance use problem, at least one family member and as many as five other individuals
Starting point is 00:12:56 are negatively impacted. And this coming from a book titled American Boy, the opioid crisis and the sister left behind. The sister Shay tells the story of her brother, struggle and how it ended. And we have the mother, Megan, joining us here in the break room on chewing the fat. Megan, hello, welcome to the show. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:13:25 As I go through the book, I find it, the book was dedicated to you. Yes. You know, she doesn't, she calls you a barracuda and wants to move forward. she wants to wish she could take your pain away. Right. Do you think that's ever possible that now that you've struggled with the loss of your son? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:53 I don't know that it's ever possible, is it? Yeah, no, it isn't ever possible. And the most difficult thing, to be honest with you, Jeff, is, you know, when you've got other children that, you know, that you've got to stand strong for, you know, there's many nights where I close my bedroom door and, you know, it all comes back. And you don't ever get over losing a child. So the struggle that your son had, yeah. Do you, looking back, do you remember, or do you think you remember, like, when it started?
Starting point is 00:14:30 Yeah. When you feel like, oh, that's, I wish I would have seen that. And it's not, I don't mean that to be. It's not your fault. It's obviously not, no, no, no, no, of course not. Every parent has got to be looking at that thinking, Well, I wish I would have seen that. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:45 You know, honestly, half the time you don't want to admit that you are seeing the signs of it. Right. Because I just couldn't imagine my son going down this path. And the turning point for me as a parent was, you know, he was a lacrosse player. He was in high school, a great athlete. And, you know, we did things together as a family. and all of a sudden he quit the lacrosse team, started skateboarding, a whole different crew of kids. And, you know, for my husband and I, you know, we were both, we both knew something was not right.
Starting point is 00:15:25 We confronted Matthew, you know, soon after that because, you know, we found him smoking pot. And, you know, his answer was, oh, you know, moms, everyone does it. and I remember things to myself as a parent, even though I certainly didn't advocate that and I didn't want them doing it. But I remember thinking to myself as an adult, well, at least it's not hard drugs. Right. And, you know, in hindsight now, I would have cut that off at the past because it was a gateway for Matthew. And I know there are kids that can do it and adults that can do it and they can function. and it doesn't escalate to anything else,
Starting point is 00:16:07 but that was not the case with Matthew. And so this was when he was a young teenage boy, right? Yeah, 16. Right. So really, at that young age, and it's not really that young of an age, but in today's world, it's considered that young age. It certainly, in your case, was that gateway drug
Starting point is 00:16:28 that took him down the path of no return. It was. when I don't know do you do you are you do you believe in what we're being told is the opioid crisis I mean are you for I realize there is an opioid crisis are we are we blaming that crisis on the the prescription drug manufacturers
Starting point is 00:16:53 or is it the illegal drugs that's more of the opioid crisis yeah you know that's an interesting question because for 20 plus years I was a pharmaceutical rep. And, you know, Matt used to get a kick out of when, you know, we sent him to treatment three times. And he would introduce me as my mother, the drug dealer. And, you know, everyone thought that was hysterical. You know, those drugs were created for a purpose. And the purpose was not for my son, right?
Starting point is 00:17:23 With nobody to be taking them. And so, you know, I, you know, I would err towards the latter as far as your comment. Right. Because, you know, those drug manufacturers never created those drugs for kids to become addicted to. And, you know, certainly when you have orthopedic surgery and you're coming out of surgery, you need help with pain management. So, you know, I, you know, I do, I do agree with you on that. So the, as we go through the book and it talks, you know, it takes through your struggles. and then I found it a fascinating one story about one, a prison sentence in the book.
Starting point is 00:18:08 It talks about a prison sentence. Was there, were there, I mean, how many times was there that there were, that there was jail involved? Yeah, well, there was, it was one time with Matthew. Okay. And interestingly, you know, if you talk to parents who have kids that are struggling, you know, that's the solution. because most of the kids get into trouble with the law, right? Because, you know, they're pulled over and, you know, they have something in their car. And so most of the kids, you know, do end up having a felony or a misdemeanor.
Starting point is 00:18:40 And, you know, for Matt, that was the case. And he was in a juvenile detention facility. And, you know, he learned more in there than he knew on the street. I was, do you think, I was going to go down that road with you a little bit. on the jail sentencing and the sentencing guidelines for some of this. Do you feel like we need a better plan to try to address this? I mean, that is such an over, yes, the answer is yes, but the overwhelming red tape of getting that executed,
Starting point is 00:19:17 you know, is something I'm never going to be able to affect or influence. You know, there need to be drug courts. There need to be, you know, in lieu of, in lieu of putting these kids in jail, there's nothing in there for them. There's no rehabilitation. They come out, they go right back to the old group of friends, and they're repeat offenders now. So, you know, and likewise, when Matthew, he was in there for a very short period of time, but, you know, when he came home, Jeff, you know, he would sit in my office filling out these
Starting point is 00:19:52 applications and he'd look at me and he'd say, you know, do I check the box? And I'm like, what are you talking about? And he's like, well, they're asking, do you have a misdemeanor or a felony? And it's an online application. I know as soon as I click one of these, I know where that's going. And it is, you never got a call back. So, you know, then what happens is, you know, and I tell this story often because we've done a tremendous amount of media on this project. You know, I am the president of a company in New York City.
Starting point is 00:20:24 And I remember coming down on the train, I commute from Washington, see every week up to New York. Came down on the train. I was in my suit, my high heels, my briefcase. Matt calls me on the train and says, Mom, I got a job. And I was thrilled. I said, great, Matt. This is a turning point, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:20:41 I walk in the house and he's standing there with a T-shirt that says poop 911. And I said to him, certainly I didn't buy that shirt for you. And he said, no, Mom. That's my job. My job is I'm cleaning up dog crap. in people's backyards because I am a piece of crap. And my heart shattered.
Starting point is 00:21:03 That's just heartbreaking. Now, to pause for just a moment, now, that's not a bad job. I mean, it is a business. It's a business that people are doing and earning a living from for people. But the thought of doing it because you think you're a piece of crap is another whole other thing. Listen, I'm grateful they hired them. you know but I mean this is a kid that was headed for college was a lacrosse player my husband and I are both professionals I have two other kids both in college you know no I wanted more for
Starting point is 00:21:42 my son so you're right I mean of course you know I there's there's no there's no judgment there grateful they gave him a job but you know what it was more than that to Matt right so now that and the struggle you know continued and obviously he took got a bad batch of
Starting point is 00:22:06 drugs that he was taking and ended up passing away with a group of of many people who shared in that same bad batch in the area that he was getting from now that that's happened you talk about
Starting point is 00:22:22 your you know your work that you're working out What is the main focus of that now? So the main focus, the book that Shea wrote is entitled American Boy. Yes. And the book, the book is not just for struggling families. It's for every parent, because I was that every parent that had, you know, no concern for my kids ever getting into this kind of trouble.
Starting point is 00:22:50 So what we address with American Boy are the three obstacles that seem to be most, problematic for Matt 28 days in treatment is never enough never enough for somebody struggling with an addiction these are go ahead with the with the list let's just pause for a second with the 28 days in treatment now how many different types of treatments are there because I hear often about you know I found I finally found a treatment that works for me right from different recoveries. So, so the, the recovery plan has, you know, obviously, again, different for everyone and, you know, the tape of ever getting to some of that in. But if 28 days, 28 days isn't enough
Starting point is 00:23:38 for Matt or 28 days isn't enough for most, the overwhelming amount of people. If you talk to any addiction specialist, which I am not, I am just a mother of an addict, they will tell you longevity and treatment is what allows people to get sober. You know, Matt was a millennial. I need sneakers. I go on Amazon. They're at my door the next day. Love it.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Right? And he treated his rehab exactly the same. Mom, today's day 27. How early can you be here tomorrow? Because they're releasing me. Right. Well, Matt, what about staying in the aftercare program? Because you're barely thinking straight again.
Starting point is 00:24:20 You detoxed for 10 days. and now, you know, 14 days later, you're telling me you know it all, and you're ready to change, you know, change 10 years of being an addict. And so when you hear people say, this is what worked for me, it is more likely the case that they were at a point in their life where they were ready to commit to, I've had enough of this. Got it. Okay, so now there was the first thing.
Starting point is 00:24:46 28 days in treatment is not enough. Not enough. And you said there are three main points. The second thing is the stigma of addiction, the story about poop 911 and how that made Matthew feel. You know, people need a second chance. Matt made a mistake, and he has been punished over and over and over again. And he needed to feel worthy again, and he couldn't figure that piece out. You talk about your daughter in the book, your daughter in the book,
Starting point is 00:25:14 your daughter in the book talks a lot about that stigma about, and she uses the example of alcoholics and how, you know, you, if automatically if a doctor is saying, well, they're an alcoholic or they're a drug addict, you know, that stigma is you're, it's already, it's already a stain, right? Right. It's already there. And as your son proved with, because I'm a piece of crap, that hurts. I'm devastated by that.
Starting point is 00:25:42 No, you're not a piece of crap. You're just doing a job. Right. Exactly. Listen, I mean, you know, I had jobs like that growing up. my first few jobs. We all did. You know, I mean, you have to work your way up.
Starting point is 00:25:55 But yeah, it was just the way that it made him feel, which was just, you know, for him not to be able to get any other job. And the third thing is, you know, when families are struggling with, you know, young kids that they know are in trouble, and the kids come to you and they say, I need help. And the first thing you want to do is get them that help before they change their mind, right? because, you know, these are young people generally. So the only place, you know, if that were you've done that, you've done that their entire lives. Right, exactly. So I've got something hurt. Let's help.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Let's get it fixed. Yeah. So if that were your loved one and they said, listen, I have breast cancer, you would call the three top hospitals in the country. You'd find out the specialist. You would do your due diligence, right? What I, I didn't have those resources, I went right to the Internet. The only thing I had. Right.
Starting point is 00:26:46 And I'm reading, you know, I'm reading reviews from people I have, I don't know if they work there, if they didn't do well there. I don't even know the quality of what I'm reading. And, you know, when you start calling these rehabs, they're like car salesmen. You know, they're calling you at 11 o'clock tonight. Okay, we have a bed. You're ready to come? You want us to come get them? I mean, it was crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:08 It was like the Wild West. So we are compiling a list called the Programs of Excellence of Programs, of Programs that other parents have used and have been very satisfied with and we are also taking um taking referrals from addiction specialists that have been compiled by all of these people that have you know had come to our website you know said they've been through something similar and we're all banding together to say let's help one another i mean i lost my son but it doesn't mean I don't want to help yours. And let's try to get them the things that I didn't have.
Starting point is 00:27:48 And so that's what American Boy does. So we give away two things. We give away educational scholarships. If you're willing to stay in treatment for more than 28 days and you want to move the needle to getting your life back, we give out educational scholarships for jobs, Jeff, that they don't ask what your background is. Did you go to college?
Starting point is 00:28:15 You have a felony if you're good at your job. Creating websites. Can you do the job? Yeah, things like skilled jobs. If you're good at what you do, I don't care if you lived on the moon. I want to use you, right? And the second one is we give away a treatment scholarship every month. Boy, that seems, and it sounds so great, and yet I'm sure you're overwhelmed.
Starting point is 00:28:39 And one a month. Overwhelmed. One a month just isn't enough. It kills me to turn down people saying I'm desperate. And I have run out of money. I've mortgaged my home three times. It kills me. But we can, you know, we have to, we have to be contend with what we can do until we can give
Starting point is 00:28:59 away two a month, three a month. Right. We just started two months ago. You know, we've already sold over 300,000 books. I mean, that's wonderful, but how sad. Right. So what is the website? What is the website that people can go to?
Starting point is 00:29:15 Yeah, it's www. www.org. Americanboy.org. Okay. Yep. So when you're, we'll get back to the book a little bit. And my gosh, I could go on now for a long time and maybe we will. But when your daughter, Shea, when she had the idea to write the book and maybe I'm sure it was, you know,
Starting point is 00:29:37 you know, helping her work through her grief as well. But when she came, did she come to you and say, hey, I want to write a book? And did you say, what are you thinking? Let's not write a book? Or did she just start writing a book and then came to you and said, look, I'm doing this. And, you know, let's get through this together through this book. Yeah. So Shea has already written 14 books.
Starting point is 00:30:00 She's represented by St. Martin's Press. She, after Matt's passing, the interesting thing about this story is, Shea is in a wheelchair. She has a form of muscular dystrophy. Matthew was her sole care provider because my husband travels quite a lot. Matthew so selfishly, and unbeknownst to my husband and I, had said to Shea because she was in community college, Shea, you are so smart. I want you to apply to any college you want to go to.
Starting point is 00:30:31 I don't feel like I'm ever going to get a handle on this addiction. I will go with you to help you bathe, help you get dressed, help you get to class, and help you manage to get through college. She applied to 13 prominent colleges. She got in everywhere but two places. And two months later, Matthew overdosed in our bathroom. So she stopped writing. We were all grieving terribly. There was, you know, we could barely get through the day for about a year.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Christmas last year She gave to all of us at Christmas a manuscript and we assumed that she was just writing another young adult book and we were thrilled that she was writing again then we all start looking at the manuscript and we see our names in there
Starting point is 00:31:25 and we and you know she's putting all this stuff out there and it's like oh boy you know oh boy Ripping open the wound again. Yeah, and we had to really, I said, Che, I need two days to absorb this.
Starting point is 00:31:43 And she's like, okay, but here's the deal. She said, if we are not honest about what went on in our home, how are we any better at the stigma of addiction if we don't own that Matthew had a disease and this is the truth of what happened within our home? Yeah. And she was right. Yeah, she was.
Starting point is 00:32:09 And so we made a choice as a family to let this book be launched. My husband has a high security job. He was worried about a few things. And we made a decision to do it. And we did. So, yes, I mean, every family struggling will understand every page of what you read. And the families that aren't struggling will be at least educational. on we were a normal family.
Starting point is 00:32:39 We were a regular family like every other one in your neighborhood. And this was the path that our family ended up having to go down. And, you know, as sad as horrible it is, now with helping as many people as you can, that is pretty good. Yeah, pretty good outcome. I know it's not the, it's not the great outcome that you want. that you wanted, but it is a pretty good outcome.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Well, I mean, yeah, I think it's a way that we can make sure that Matt's life mattered, and it did. Americanboy.org. Megan McGalley, the mother of Matt, and you can read the book written by the daughter Shea, American Boy, the opioid crisis, and the sister left behind, available wherever books are sold, and I'm sure you can get it at Americanboy.org. Going to the website and help them out. And man, if you, whatever you need to help, just let us know and we'll do the best we can, Megan, to help you out.

The money we charge for you to subscribe to this show is you can't even count. Right, you could open the cash drawer like that, but there's nothing in it. Starting point is 00:35:34 No, it's got to be HTTP, colon, which is two periods on top of each other, forward slash, forward slash, Don't do back.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Don't do backslash. W. WWW. Period. Chewing the fat. Period. Calm. Slat.
Starting point is 00:35:58 No, that don't be slash. Why are you putting, chewing the fat has a website? Yes. Yeah, chewing the fat. Dot com. Dot net. Dot com.
Starting point is 00:36:09 That does not have a website. But if someone has chewing the fat, I'm suing them right now. I'm taking them. court. We also, I want to say for those of you thinking, well, wait, go to the blaze.com, and you can get the podcast? Yeah. There is
Starting point is 00:36:22 a chewing the fat.us.com. Available, or someone has? Someone has. Yeah, of course. Of course. What is it about? If you can cook it, you can cook it. And I'll travel the world to bring it back

Starting point is 00:36:49 The latest from chewing the fat. That's, I do not like that. I feel like that's copyrighting, stealing something. I feel like it is. I feel like it is.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I feel like it's almost the same as what we talked about yesterday about taking my breaking news sounder. I feel like that, I feel like that's what it is. Jeff, everybody is against you, dude. That still hurts.
Starting point is 00:37:09 I know. I know. How do you survive? So I'm just saying I found out yesterday that you could also, get chewing the fat at what where can we get it again?
Starting point is 00:37:21 Radio.com. Radio.com. I'm just messing with it. It's radio.com. And you could get the podcast there as well. And you're the only one there. Dude, you're breaking history.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Thank you. I appreciate it. Breaking history. Is that what I'm doing? Yeah, breaking history. That's what I'm doing. All right. So tomorrow night,
Starting point is 00:37:43 tomorrow night's a big night. Tomorrow night's a big night. We're having a spectacular meteor shower coming to a planet near you, the one you're on, Earth. If you're listening to Chewing the Fat off planet, email me at Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com. One more time was that email because some people might be old and do not know that email. You want to email me at www. Chewing the fat. I don't think it's not WWW.
Starting point is 00:38:16 No, you can do it. So all those emails just went nowhere. I know. I want them to go. You know what? If you're emailing from off planet, I don't think you have to worry about the WWW, but it could be just me.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Chewing the fat, period.com. Oh, no. And that's not period, then a dot. Oh, my gosh. What am I doing? It's chewing the fat. One word. One word.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Chewing the fat. All one word. All mash together, mush together. Period. Calm. Steal cum. Chewing the fat. Oh, I have to.
Starting point is 00:38:46 The Blaze. No, at, oh my God. Dude, what is going on? I don't know. I've lost. Chewing the fat at Theblaze.com. You know what it is? You know what it is? I'm trying to make it hard. When it's not. It's just chewing the fad at the blaze.com. Websites. It's just go to the website. You don't need to worry about the WWWs and the HTTPs. Amazingly, that's been addressed. They thought to themselves, you know, people are dumb. Guys like Jeffrey are dumb. We need to just let them be able to type it in and then bring up the website. And on behalf of me, I say thank you. Because that's
Starting point is 00:39:22 right. That's what I want. Now back to the media shower. I know where my wife is going to be. Tomorrow and I, she's going to be outside with the camera, looking around. She's going to be climbing up on the roof. Trying to find a perfect place. She's going to have to go to the park.
Starting point is 00:39:38 She's going to be not far in our new neighborhood. A church is doing some remodeling. And they've got a big lift out front. She's probably going to over there and hijack that thing and lift it up in the parking lot and be looking for the meteor showers that are going on it's the new alpha mono se alpha okay i need the computer help it's alpha what is it alpha alpha mama roated no that's not right that's not right the computer is wrong M-O-N-O-C-R-O-T-I-D.
Starting point is 00:40:18 Monocerotid. Monocerotid. Monocerotid. Monosurotid. Yeah, that's right. Okay, so it's Alpha. Monosurodid. So now the computer's right.
Starting point is 00:40:30 Meteor shower. Supposed to be putting on a spectacular show tomorrow night. Starts at 11.50 p.m. Eastern time. And that is 10-something, right? 10.50 something. It's 10.50 something. It's 10.50 central where you live, Chris. Yeah, that's where I live. Start looking at the stars around 11, though.
Starting point is 00:40:54 That'd be 10 where you live, Chris. And continue looking through midnight because it's going to be having shooting stars and they're never spaced evenly. They appear in bunches. Two or three meteors may come and then you might have to wait a minute or so before they come. It's going to be spectacular. The American Meteor Society. He was expecting quite a show. Are they going to pay $25,000, like the people from Missouri? I don't know, but it's a good thing I was in Missouri when that thing went down because I'm looking for it.
Starting point is 00:41:21 So if you get a piece of the Alpha Meteor Shower, might be worse than bucks. So be ready for that. Look, I already know. We just follow me on Twitter at Jeffrey JFR or Instagram and Facebook, Jeff Fisher Radio. and I'll be retweeting and re-instagram. All kinds of pictures that my wife has. It's going to be beautiful. So hopefully if you live in a clear area,
Starting point is 00:41:49 but if you live in the city where you have light pollution, good luck. How dare you? Greta, is that you? Speaking to Greta, did you see she's a time traveler? Greta is a great time traveler. Now, apparently they found old pictures of miners back to the day. They got pictures of three kids.
Starting point is 00:42:09 that are, they were minors, right? I think that's what they were. Yeah, they were kids picking up gold. Yeah, and one of them, one of them is Greta. Yeah, so 120-year-old picture. So, it was taken on 1898. I mean, she's a time traveler. She is a time traveler.
Starting point is 00:42:27 How dare you? So if the earth is going to go away, but she's already lived and traveled hundreds of years. Well, and this is from the past, So like, why is she here now? Unless she's here warning us. Then that makes sense. But wouldn't you lead with a picture of you from 18?
Starting point is 00:42:50 No, because you don't, that freaks people out. Oh, okay. When you're a time traveler, if you're a time traveler, like, you know, if you've traveled through time like some of us have, you realize that when you go in the future, or even if you go to the past, you don't want to announce yourself. Oh, man. Now that puts people in weird predicaments, and the next thing you know, they're all freaking out.
Starting point is 00:43:13 You just want to pretend like you're part of the crowd. And then tell them, how dare you? That's what you need. Download and subscribe to more content at the blaze.com slash podcasts. How about those impeachment hearings, huh? Wow. Oh, man, are they riveting? Starting point is 00:43:53 Yes, I am because it wasn't exciting at all. It was agonizing. And thank you. Thank you for making it possible with your subscription to this show. Or you can subscribe blazTV.com slash Jeffie and help them put them. bill so that they can actually go dig deep and give you news that actually matters.
Starting point is 00:46:40 I don't want to go deeper, dude. You don't? But it's upsetting. It's what he does. It's so upsetting. That's what you love him for. That's what you love him for. Just want to move to another country. Is Belize still on the table?
Starting point is 00:46:55 Boy, that would be a shame. I'll have to call when you go, Chris, and say, you are missed. I don't want you to call. I do want you to help me move. because I helped you move. So I expect you to help me move. Look at the time. My back.

Starting point is 00:47:24 But I can't. I can't. So one last thing I want to talk to you about. You? I've been trying to get your little global entry pass. Oh, yeah, yeah. From TSA. I've got some great TSA stories, too.
Starting point is 00:47:43 We do, yeah. That we'll go down, you know what? We'll go through the TSA stuff tomorrow. So maybe we'll talk about your global entry thing tomorrow too. Yeah, when yesterday. Because I want to know how safe I could feel going through the TSA and knowing that the people, as I'm standing in line, and I see the people going through the global entry,
Starting point is 00:48:05 just boop, boop, poop, as I'm standing in line, getting probed. I want to know how safe I could feel knowing that they went through hardened security to get that pass. Jeff, it took me two months to get this pass. I know. I know it did.
Starting point is 00:48:18 And I want to make sure. If I didn't go yesterday, I had a way to March 2020. Okay, so I want to know everything that they put you through so that I could feel safe getting probed in the TSA line, watching you go through the global entry.
Starting point is 00:48:33 We'll do that tomorrow on chewing the fat. November 2019. You know that the debate is tonight, the Democratic debate. But I'm not going to cover that tomorrow, except for maybe, you know, unless something somebody drops over. What are you, Glenn Beck speaking after the bed place?
Starting point is 00:49:07 Am I supposed to just stop? Yes. And Glenn did that twice today. I'm like, what are you doing? Because he's been listening to the show. No one can hear you. He's been listening to the show. And sure they can.
Starting point is 00:49:17 The people listening in-house or down the line? We heard the same story like 15 times. before you went on air. So we do not need to hear it again. The music plays, you stop talking. What am I, you're trained puppy dog now? I mean, I just don't think that you... Can I talk during the music? Sure.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Okay, I can talk to the next minute. When it ends, I'm supposed to just stop. I'm not supposed to say one...
