Starting point is 00:00:00 And now a Blaze Media podcast. Hello, welcome to it. That's right, chewing the fat with yours truly Jeff Fisher on this 21st of April, 2020, from the COVID-19 quarantine bunker, the CQB for short. Good news I wanted to start with today. Georgia governor, Brian Kemp, provided that with social distinctions, and sanitation measures being complied with, bowling alleys will be able to reopen on Friday.
Starting point is 00:00:39 I know. I know. Please, please, please. Calm. You're excited. Now he said it would include gyms and, you know, other some businesses. Okay, thanks, Governor. We appreciate it. I know Tennessee and South Carolina are trying to ease lockdown. So is Texas. So is Florida.
Starting point is 00:01:07 So we're going to get some kind of ease on the lockdown. We'll see. We'll see. I don't foresee it going over big. People, we need to get back to work. No question. No question about it. Are we ready for it?
Starting point is 00:01:23 I don't know. I don't know. And we're still, you know, big cities. I'm going to tell you some bad news now. and you're going to have to dry your eyes, but it's not my idea. I wouldn't have done it. But the gay pride parade in San Francisco
Starting point is 00:01:38 canceled. I know. I know. It's the first time since its inception that the festivities have been canceled. I know. I don't know how they're going to, isn't every day in San Francisco like a
Starting point is 00:01:57 pride parade day? just a normal day maybe not and Mayor de Blasio the communist that he is has cancelled everything summer festivals, parades, concerts through June
Starting point is 00:02:13 including their own pride march I mean there are no pride marches going on around the country okay till June till the end of June wow okay so you know what that means? July
Starting point is 00:02:30 fourth. Like I said, we're getting there. Okay? We are getting there. And more and more stories are taking us through June. All right. It's going to be fun. We had the world's largest meat processor shut down in Minnesota. The pork plant, the Worthington pork plant. They had 26 workers that had contracted COVID-19. So they account for they're the largest meat processor and they account for 4% of the U.S. pork supply. Boy, that seems like they would have
Starting point is 00:03:08 accounted for more than that, but still be on the lookout for get those pork chops now. Get them now. Okay? And other countries are starting to open up a little bit. And then they flare in back. We'll see if everything flares back up again.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I don't know. I don't know what to tell you. I feel like I want everything to open back up. I want to get back to the new normal. I call it the new normal. You know it's the new normal. We're going to get back to things opening up and everybody's still going to try to,
Starting point is 00:03:42 dude, you're not six feet away from me. Okay, I got it. I got it. And we're supposed to, are they ever going to take away us having to wear masks in the cities and the municipalities that have already told us we can't go out of our homes without a mask? Maybe they tell us, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:00 As a Christmas present in 2020, you can stop wearing your mask when you go outside. Good luck. Good luck. That may never go away. Many of these new rules for our safety, they're never going away. Never. You're going to want them to go away and they're going to say, you know, it's for the safety. If it saves just one life, isn't it worth it?
Starting point is 00:04:28 what kind of person are you if you say, well, no. Of course I want to save people's lives, but are your new rules that go against the Constitution of the United States worth it? No. You can't say that in public. You'd be ridiculed forever, forever. Just, I will get, I, I could, I, I feel like I need to just be this bearer of bad news today. And I don't want to be, I don't want to be. So let me tell you this.
Starting point is 00:05:16 All right. It was reported that the FDA said that there's no need to wipe down food packaging during the pandemic. Their quote is, we want to reassure consumers that there is current. no evidence of human or animal food or food packaging being associated with transmission of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. Well, okay then. What about my Amazon boxes? I watched a video this morning of some guy who had a package delivered to his house and he's
Starting point is 00:05:58 got his spray of lice, can of lysol right there by the door, he's spraying down the boxes when they're delivered. If it makes you feel better, okay, keep doing it. Does it help? I mean, I guess it helps you think that you're better, right? I think that you're not going to catch it from the box. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:06:21 You can just spray down all your food packages too. People have been doing it. And the bags, we had a story that I don't even remember. I didn't do it. I heard another show talking about it, where a lady claims that she got COVID-19 from a delivery food package. She had gone, she claimed she had gone out of her home or hadn't come in contact with anyone with the virus.
Starting point is 00:06:50 The only thing that she did was have take out food delivered to her home. So she had to have caught it from there. I don't know. Did she really have it? Did she catch it from the packaging? of the takeout food? I don't know. And if we can't get it from the packaging,
Starting point is 00:07:07 why are we shutting down the processing plans? Those foods aren't packaged yet. People are still working. They're wearing masks. I don't think you're allowed to even work at that processing plan unless you're wearing masks and jackets and suits that cover up everything. Right?
Starting point is 00:07:24 I mean, they have to do that anyway. That was pre-COVID-19. So if the packaging, there's no evidence that the packaging keeps it on there, why are we shutting down the plants? And yesterday, okay, this may be actually good news. Maybe, except that it's Facebook and we'll see. But Facebook rolled out their gaming app. I'd be interested, I haven't heard anyone talking about it. I didn't even hear my son talking about it.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Facebook rolled out their gaming app. They're trying to take on, you know, Google, YouTube, and Twitch. Good luck. Good luck with that. Because the people playing Twitch and using Twitch ain't looking at Facebook. So, good luck. Good luck with that. And then we had, okay, I'm going to try to make myself into a better mood today.
Starting point is 00:08:35 I'm going to try. I'm reading the story about the photographer who went out and took photos of the two, we'll call them anti-lockdown protesters. The two proclaimed nurses blocking traffic. People weren't pissed at them because they were anti-locked. protest right there they were they were against
Starting point is 00:09:12 the people who are against the lockdown but there are those people we're not angry at them for that we're angry at them for blocking traffic get the hell out of the road oh it was important that they
Starting point is 00:09:27 did a message and make their stand okay okay and it was a peaceful protest from these nurses who are scared for their lives and are out there working, saving lives every day. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Great. Good for you. I'm all for you. And make it known that you don't want the lockdown to end. And great. And tell us the reasons why. But stop blocking traffic. Also a reminder, tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:10:07 Earth Day. I don't know. We're going to find a way to celebrate here on chewing the fat, but we will have an Earth Day celebration. I'm not sure if it's going to be up to the Icelandic Forestry Service standards, but we'll try. The Forest Service, and they recommended this about a week ago, and I have, I haven't done it. I want to apologize. I hope that the Icelandic Forestry Service police don't come knocking to my front door, but the Icelandic forestry service has recommended to hug a tree. They want people to feel better, especially during the pandemic going on worldwide, that you need to hug a tree and you will feel better. You will feel so much better. because according to the Icelandic forestry service,
Starting point is 00:11:10 when you hug a tree, you feel it first in your toes and then up your legs and into your chest. I need some. Seriously, where is my, oh yeah, music? Yeah. You know, when I hug it, tree.
Starting point is 00:11:44 I feel it in my toes. And then up my legs, into my chest, and then right on up into my head. It's a, it's a wonderful feeling. A relaxation. Ready to start
Starting point is 00:12:06 the day. Oh yeah. And remember, there are plenty size doesn't matter but to hold it all your life anyway it doesn't have to be big stout
Starting point is 00:12:27 it could be any sound five minutes ten minutes even just a quick start the day you're good to go I mean
Starting point is 00:12:49 Okay. When is the last time that you've hugged a tree, if ever, in your life? That's my question. That's my question for you today. When is the last time you've hugged a tree, if ever? Now, I've climbed trees and, you know, I've fallen out of trees. I've, I guess, I've wrapped my arms around trees. I can remember being behind trees playing. hide and seek maybe, you have your hands up on the bark, but never just a, I don't remember ever hugging a tree to get just that wonderful feeling of relaxation, being ready to start the new day. But according to the Icelandic Forestry Service, that's what I need to do. Anyway, maybe I'll celebrate Earth Day that way.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Maybe I will. Maybe I'll have a chewing-the-fat hug-tree afternoon. And I'll just post that on my social media to go with the Icelandic Forestry Service. And we can hug a tree for Earth Day. That's my hashtag for tomorrow. Hug a tree for Earth Day. Agonizing. Did we know?
Starting point is 00:14:26 So I was reading a story about Bill Cosby. Yes, he's still in jail. Yes, he's trying to get out of jail because of the COVID-19 pandemic. And prison is a terrible place for anyone. We're letting prisoners out left and right. But they said no to Bill Cosby. No. You are not getting out of jail even with the pandemic.
Starting point is 00:14:48 So have a nice day. You're not doing it. As I was reading about these stories with Bill trying to get out of jail, and they've even talked to the governor, right? And they've said, no, it's not happening. He's not out. Even though he's blind and can't practice social distancing, doesn't matter. He can practice social distancing by staying in his cell.
Starting point is 00:15:11 Okay. No problem. But as I was reading this, did we know? I don't remember knowing that he had a stroke and or a heart attack and had two surgeries in the fall of last year. Did we know that? I mean, I remember talking to him about, talking about him being the new, you know, guru about that time in jail, and they were coming to him for his stories,
Starting point is 00:15:40 and he was helping people get there. You know, he was the Tony Robbins of the prison. But I don't remember him struggling with, Of course he's had diabetes and struggling with his vision and health consequences that comes with that. But I don't remember. Anyway, he's struggling. That's not good news for Bill. If he's still recovering now from a stroke and or a heart attack in prison.
Starting point is 00:16:13 And for those of you that hate Bill O'Cosby, I know. You could be dancing in the street. No problem. You can be dancing in the street for Bill. You can be dancing in the street for Kim Jong in North Korea. All reports are that he is not in good shape. If you believe it, okay. If you believe it, then you think, you know,
Starting point is 00:16:35 it's not him just trying to, you know, gin up some sympathy from the world leaders, maybe. It's not just him announcing it in his country to see who is smiling in the streets so he could, you know, put a bullet in their head. Why, did you hear? Our leader is really, really sick. Oh, you better be sad.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Thank you. You freaking better be sad. I don't want, no, there's no secret smiles. There's no secret fist bumps as you're walking by each other on the street. Otherwise, undead. Maybe that's just his way. And they're saying that he had surgery. We don't know what kind of surgery.
Starting point is 00:17:23 he had. Giss was being reported that it was some kind of heart surgery, which, you know, is really, I mean, he's taken such good care of himself. He looks like he's in great shape. He's only 37 years old. And apparently he went under some cardiovascular procedure. Not that eating and drinking and smoking and living the way I'm sure the great leader lived, had anything to do. with it. I usually hang in there a little bit longer than 37. You usually hang in there until your 50s?
Starting point is 00:18:04 Maybe? Start to struggle a little bit? Anyway, so if those reports are true, North Korean leader, North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un reportedly in grave danger. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Dry your eyes. All right, while we're headed to the break room, because I'm ready for Coca-Cola Zero, I feel like I could just drink like a thousand cold, ice-cold cans of Coca-Cola Zero today. Starting point is 00:20:38 more we have to give. Seriously, I don't know how much more, but we'll continue to do it if we have to. So last week we told you about the mafia in Italy, getting the government all wound up because they're distributing food to the struggling residents
Starting point is 00:20:54 that, you know, that can't, don't have any money, and they're really struggling and the mafia's like, we're good, we're here for you. Here you go. No problem. We got you. Look, when it's all said and done,
Starting point is 00:21:06 when you hear a, answer the door, it's us and you'll be doing stuff for us, which the government is not happy about. And now we have the Mexican president telling gangs, stop donating food and crime instead. Yeah, that's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:21:24 Is that the same president that's taking money from them? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if that's ever been proven. But he got mad at the drug gangs. Apparently, the gangs are now distributing food at several places around the country, and they're giving the packages out with the Cartel logos on them. This is from us.
Starting point is 00:21:48 That's our logo, so you know, it's from us. So you're welcome. And when we need you, we'll let you know. sure there were only you know 34 35000 homicides last year in Mexico
Starting point is 00:22:03 sure so so what's that got to do with us what's that got to do with the daughter of my man El Chapo what's his name again Joaquina Chivaldo
Starting point is 00:22:18 Guzman Loera his daughter passing out packages with the company El Chapo 701 logo on them. So, what's it to you? Oh, man. You are not going to stop these guys, man.
Starting point is 00:22:37 I don't know. And if you are, you know, good luck. Good luck. God bless. So yesterday, I know we, you know, we delved into a little, John. And I couldn't stop thinking about them. I know, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:22:53 I know. I got it. I'm a freak. I know. So I started reading some more about the one world together. They had 21 million viewers across 26 networks. You'd think they would have gotten a little bit more than that. I mean, that's a lot.
Starting point is 00:23:14 21 million viewers, but across 26 networks. So it was organized by the Global Citizen and World Health Organization. It raised $127.9 million. I feel like that should have raised more. But, you know, good for them. Seriously, that's great. $55 million of the money raised is going to be donated to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. And nearly $73 million will go toward local and regional responders.
Starting point is 00:23:46 So that was great. And Lady Gaga, thank you. It was wonderful. In this review, it talks about the two-hour star-studded virtual concert featuring Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, and numerous others. Well, the story that we talked about yesterday talked about it being an eight-hour concert curated by Lady Gaga.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Was it eight hours? And seriously, I don't know. I'm just talking this through. Was it an eight-hour thing and then they cut it down to two hours for TV? Were they streaming this eight-hour get-together? so from time to time. I'm bummed that I didn't get to see some of it if that's what it was.
Starting point is 00:24:31 If it was eight hours of, all right, we're going to L.A. now Elton's getting ready in his driveway, and they're hooking it up. We haven't seen Elton yet, but they're bringing in the piano
Starting point is 00:24:40 in the driveway, and we're sending it up the four concert shoe. We should be ready in about 30 minutes. So we'll have that ready to go. Just come back to us in about 30. We should be ready to go for Elton.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Is that what it was for eight hours? That might have been fun to watch some of that. I think what it was, it was everybody recorded themselves and a producer, an editor, and a director put it all together. I don't think anything was live. Gotcha. I got you. It wasn't, it wasn't technically live. And that makes sense. Yeah, I don't, I don't think it was like him. Now we go to Elton. No, he's not there. Uh, David and, somebody get him out of the bathroom. It's time for Elton. David and David's wife. I need you to keep introducing him. Keep introducing him. him.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Stretch. Keep introducing. He's still not there. Talk about, I don't know, your soccer life and all that stuff. Oh, there he is. Okay, stop talking. Stop talking. Throw it.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Do you tell us why you're not going to be performing with your old band anymore. Can you talk about that for a second? Keep stretching. Elton's not here. Yeah, I don't think it was that. No, but I do think it was all pre-recorded. And somehow, and I was funny because all over Apple TV, that was the only thing you could click on.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Well, not really. But it made it feel like that's the only thing I could click on was this stupid concert that I did not click on because I really don't have the time to listen to celebrities to tell me that I need to donate. I felt like this was a whole, and this was as eight hours, but I mean even two hours of just them preaching to me how I'm supposed to feel bad about,
Starting point is 00:26:24 I just couldn't do it. I just couldn't do it. And I know it was that plus, you know, the rousing performances from all the great stars. I get it. But, you know, 21 million viewers across 26 networks seems a little low. Please donate to the Global Citizen and World Health Organization.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Please donate because more and more people. Now, Lady Gaga has said, she was quoted as saying, I'm an Italian-American patriot, but I'm also a global citizen. Thanks. Aren't we all, Gaga, aren't we all? I'm reading the thread, because they were on fire on social media throughout the whole show. I mean, they talked about
Starting point is 00:27:27 how it was the most social TV special through March and April. Okay. So that really isn't saying much. It was like maybe what, two social telecasts across the television in the last month or so.
Starting point is 00:27:43 So they got more than the first one, which was Alton's. But they're saying they got 4.9 million total interactions about together at home across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter on Saturday. Okay? And so then I started reading, you know, about the post about Elton and when he was, when he was performing.
Starting point is 00:28:04 And I just want to be clear, okay? That wasn't, they were, oh, Elton, it makes me feel so much better. He's in his backyard with the basketball hoop and the recycling bin. There wasn't a recycling bin. That's the engine that moves the electronic gate back and forth. That's the chain. That's the motor. That's not the recycling.
Starting point is 00:28:26 That's how you know that people are thinking so highly of Elton that they're like, there's no way he has that old-fashioned motor for his gate. Because Elton's, no gate just automatically opens as soon as he walks in. At the other house, at the Beverly Hills house, there's people that do it. Yes. There's no more. There's just people that open and close because he's got security and yard workers out there opening and closing the gate for him. At this dump that he lives in, he's got to push a button.
Starting point is 00:29:01 The whole world right now find out how Elton John lives. And he lives like me and you. And that is so upsetting to the world that they confuse his motor for his fence to a recycling bin. The day The day that I see Elton John In real life, not in a movie, in real life, next to a recycling bin,
Starting point is 00:29:27 my world is shattered. My world is shattered. Elton John is not. His recycling bin is the floor. Okay? He's Elton John. I'm sorry, I won't have it. I won't have it any other way.
Starting point is 00:29:41 We're done. I won't have it. You know, just as a passing thought, sometimes, some people in the world make things more difficult than they need to be.
Starting point is 00:30:08 I'm not saying I'm that person. I'm just saying that there are people like that. You better clarify that because they're going to think, oh, what did Chris Cruz do while the music was playing? It wasn't me. I didn't say that it was.
Starting point is 00:30:25 I did say that it was. But the people that don't know the context to that between you and me they're going to be okay if it's not jeffy is chris cruz and he somehow messed up on the other end i can't help what people think i'm just saying that some people make things more difficult than they need to be don't you have to get to some coronavirus numbers and tsa checkpoint numbers yeah i'm going to get to them in a moment first i want to talk about you know, we did a story not long ago about Google killing off mosquitoes.
Starting point is 00:31:07 Why in the world is Google working on killing off mosquitoes when I see this story about hell hornets, giant Asian hornets, now getting a foothold in the United States? This will not stand. Dear Google, when we have the largest hornet on the world. the planet, which is about two inches long, that is capable of giving people hospital visits or sending them to the morgue, is now gaining a foothold in the United States. When you have those killed, then you can work out of the mosquitoes. I want the giant Asian hornet gone.
Starting point is 00:31:56 That would be nice. Thank you. Then you can work on them. And you can go ahead and work on the mosquitoes. Okay. Just saying. Yeah, we got coronavirus numbers. Total cases worldwide, 2,527,770.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Total deaths, as of this recording, 174,455. In the United States, 802, 159 total cases. and 43,495 total deaths as of this recording. Very sad. The TSA checkpoint travel numbers yesterday back down under 100,000. Wow. 99,344 people going through the TSA checkpoint. Man, something, the airlines are dead.
Starting point is 00:32:58 I don't know. You talk about opening businesses back. up again but when does travel open up again when do we when are we okay with getting on into that metal tube and flying across the country again with 300 more other people I don't know well I'm traveling in two days and are you according to yesterday's email no not email according to yesterday when I have to check in. Only nine people have checked into that plane. Right.
Starting point is 00:33:36 And you're not allowed to sit in middle seats. Middle seats are no one sits there because you have to practice social distancing. I got news for you. Those seats are not six feet apart. Yeah. Yeah. If you remove the middle seat, you're six feet apart. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:33:51 I must have my measuring tape must be off. You can write your own jokes to that. So there must be, it must be six feet of the middle seat. That's fine. But nine people on the plane, I don't think you'll have to worry about it. No, no. And also, they are cleaning when they land while you wait, before you leave, after you leave. Ugh.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Yeah. Oh, and then. Those days we thought we're still with, I mean, we thought they were doing that anyway. And obviously they weren't they because they tell you to pick up your own trash all the time. But they wanted to keep the flights moving, right? Keep it going. Let's go. flight got changed to an earlier flight because they're combining flights because
Starting point is 00:34:36 nobody's flying so they're just combining flights I mean that's understandable but on the flip side of that how about no I booked it out this time that be for a reason well they could give a full refund they did say that they say if your new time leaving time does not is it's not up to your liking we'll give you a full refund and by a full refund we mean that we'll give you credit on your next flight we're not giving you the money back that money's already gone so that full refund means that you're going to get credit for your next flight not giving you money back and you're right that by the way that next flight leaves when we
Starting point is 00:35:21 wanted to too so don't worry about it you can schedule it all you want that kind of pisses me And you're right. That money was spent a long time. I bought those tickets last year when they were like pretty cheap. So. You're not traveling. Shut that down. We also get news that the sunlight
Starting point is 00:35:42 now we're told destroys the virus quickly. New government tests find that the sunlight destroys the virus quickly and they're also saying the pandemic could last through summer. Yay! Yay! Yay! So,
Starting point is 00:36:06 which is it? Can we go to the beaches? Can we go back to work in the southern states in Texas when we finally get back to the surface of the sun temperatures? Are we good? Or is it going to last through the summer? Well, also, you know, one thing that I don't understand about, that is why why
Starting point is 00:36:29 was like the one thing that upset me I think it was I saw it on your Twitter was the whole sand being dumped into the skater parks and yeah in California and actually I love that
Starting point is 00:36:44 skater park I was almost there like every other weekend at that skater park when I was in California I just don't understand that life is supposed to go back to normal right Jeffrey live well the new normal the new normal life is supposed to go back to the new normal why are we destroying stuff is it because and i think you said it last time i think is all these essential city workers that are playing you know
Starting point is 00:37:11 with their phones at the shop and they're like we need to oh yeah hey let's go to every basketball hoop and lock the basketball hoop um let's go to the skater park and throw tons of sand so skaters can go like we do go back to a new normal sometime soon right yeah well look yeah the workers have to do something right they were trying to do keep their jobs so what do we i was like what's sand over the skate park i read a story today about uh tom brady tom brady now in tampa florida he's in tampa florida he goes to the park to work out He's a new Tampa Bay Buccaneer star. We've got him in Tampa.
Starting point is 00:37:59 He's living on Davis Island. Mr. Superstar. The parks are closed. The parks are closed. I don't have the story open in front of me, but the parks are closed to gatherings, right? They don't mention that he's out there by himself. But, of course, the park officials got to cite him for being in the park.
Starting point is 00:38:17 And that's the story. Tom Brady cited for being in a park working out. even he is can't avoid the coronavirus lockdown um he was in a park working out by himself how does that affect anything no yeah he was next to uh to people he didn't social distance himself yeah no there was a crowd there was crowds of people and tom was there that's that's what happened i mean you can i don't know i mean we just we're keeping them that's what they did in fort worth when you talk about locking down the basketball hoops and closing off the tennis courts and now there's armed guards there so if you even drive by the tennis court and look at it you get shot you know that hasn't been reported in the
Starting point is 00:39:02 news yet but that's probably happening hold on who got shot no one yet no one's been reported okay but if you drive by a tennis court in fort worth texas and look at it you get shot i'm willing to tempt is it too low is there a tennis course don't you dare drive by a tennis court is there a Tennis court by where you live? Don't you dare. Because there's no tennis courts around here. I would say this and I'm only going to say it once. I don't want you to get shot.
Starting point is 00:39:29 I don't want you to get shot. Did you buy that? No, I did not. So today when you drive by the tennis court, look at it. First you have to tell me where the tennis court is because in my part of town, we're not as bougie as your town where we have a tennis court just readily available. You know what? You can't come in my neighbor.
Starting point is 00:39:50 either so never mind hold on what are you elton john now that has a stupid tennis court yeah i do need a i do need a power gate opener though i need one of those bad no you have a recycling bin just put it next to the to the fence and it opens your fence i know it doesn't though it's kind of sad no no no no i'm telling you you just put a a recycling bin turn it upside down and then it's going to automatically open your gate that's kind of cool then yeah i don't know i just realized that that's That's sweet. I love that idea. Download and subscribe to more content at the blaze.com slash podcasts.
Starting point is 00:40:31 All right, so we've got to get into, I've got so much to get to. And all I want to do is complain. So I don't want to be that complaint person. I don't want to be that complaint person. So let's just look forward to maybe next week when HBO Max starts streaming. They're looking and we'll get into the shows and what they're doing, but they're going to have original series as well from Ridley Scott to J.J. Abrams and Joe Dante. We're going to have new Looney Tunes. We've got Elmo and his new talk show. The Looney Tunes. Oh, my gosh. It's new Looney Tunes. And why is it new Looney Tunes? Because you have to have them be politically correct in today's world. So, you know, We'll see if it's worthy or not. Because one of the things that made Looney Tunes kind of cool in today's world
Starting point is 00:41:28 was that it wasn't politically correct, right? You got to watch them again and go, wow, that's funny. That's good stuff right there. I don't know if they get away with that in today's world. Well, now we're going to have to see what they could get away with in today's world. Okay. All right. But I'm looking forward to it.
Starting point is 00:41:48 And I think that starts streaming next week, HBO Max, they should have already started that, man. That should already be. Okay. I don't know how, what are they charging? I don't want to correct you, but it's next month, babe. It's a month away? Yes, dude, May 27.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Because I was just beating them up for waiting so long. I know. So I just want to. It's still another month? May 27. That's when you could fire up. Holy cow. They just send an email today to all HBO subscribers like I am to say,
Starting point is 00:42:20 fire up your countdown clocks HBO Max is launching on May 27 we period are period so period excited then it tells you hey click here so you can watch the new trailers and I just want to I know we're supposed to be finished
Starting point is 00:42:37 because I'm busy today but I want to play the trailer of the not too late show with Elmo okay before you do that all right so I have HBO through Hulu. Okay. And I'm hoping. Do I get HBO
Starting point is 00:42:54 Max too is my question? I hope I do. I don't know because this is the new, this is coming from AT&T. Yeah, this is their new platform. This is AT&T's news platform, yes. And they want 1499 a month? Yep. No, thank you. They better, uh, that new content better be good. And is this show worth
Starting point is 00:43:26 $14.99 a month? You be the judge. Everybody's favorite three and a half year old Red Monster. Almost going to talk jokes. Knock, knock. Interview some memories. Daddy! The best question ever. Let's get down to the real brass tech.
Starting point is 00:43:59 I've never done a tricycle race, but I could try sickle race you. Sing songs Rubber Ducky You're the one Two, three, two One Oh
Starting point is 00:44:14 Keep it down, well you? I'm so excited A sandwich cookie You know basically where it's a You know how to cookies Play me It looks awesome I mean
Starting point is 00:44:47 I'm ready I'm ready I know I mean it's Albaugh right And Blake lively, oh, my girl, she's my new girl. It's embarrassing the way she looks at me from time to time. But it's unbelievable $14.99 a month. And they're trying to compete with Disney with this, right?
Starting point is 00:45:04 I mean, this is HBO Max's answer to Disney Plus. Well, not just that. I know we're talking about this off the air, but they have some serious, they took a lot of stuff. For example, Friends is only available on HBO Max. They took that away from Netflix Joker is going to be
Starting point is 00:45:27 You know House there Wonder Woman Aquaman Game of Thrones is going to be housed there now The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Is going to be housed there
Starting point is 00:45:37 Impractical Joker is going to be housed Yeah but if that If Game of Thrones is going to be housed At HBO Max Not even CBS All Access Has the Big Ben theory And it's a And it's a CBS show.
Starting point is 00:45:54 That's interesting. Is there a number someone who can call, Ivan? That is interesting. That's probably interesting that CBS doesn't have Big Bang. CBS Alixus doesn't have Big Bang theory, do they? Nope. Not just that. They don't even have season one or two of Young Sheldon.
Starting point is 00:46:14 I don't know about that. I know about that because I wanted to go watch the season one and two. Because I have CBSL access for the. 30-day free trial or whatever it is. Me too. Because I wanted to watch a couple of the shows. And I thought I saw Young Sheldon. John Sheldon is there. It's only the current season. You can't go back and watch season one or season two.
Starting point is 00:46:38 Gotcha. Because they own somebody else owns those rights. I'm curious to see because I believe Hulu Sue owns those rights. Yeah. Because I'm sure the cast members do. They own the rights to the back shows. You get the new season and you can do. what you want with that for the new season, but after that, they belong to us. Yeah, I mean,
Starting point is 00:46:57 that's a good move. It's a lot of money to them. They live forever. They don't have to worry about anything else. I hope my HBO just transforms into HBO matter. That's what I'm thinking, because no way, there's stuff on HBO that I want to watch their original series and stuff. I'm not going to spend
Starting point is 00:47:13 an extra 15 bucks a month. No, no, I'm already paying. Rephrase that. Let me rephrase that. Right now, I don't want, I don't see myself spending an extra $15 a month. And I'm sorry, why isn't this launching in April 27? What are they? That's what I thought it was when I saw the 27th, and you're right, it's May.
Starting point is 00:47:30 I thought 27th. Wow, they're getting it's out this month. Good. They should have already done it. It should have launched, you know, a month ago. Yep. Between CBS All Access launching a while ago and Disney Plus launching a while ago and Quibi just launching this past week, a couple of weeks ago, I mean, HBO next needs to be out there.
Starting point is 00:47:48 So maybe they're thinking is, look, we, instead of getting it bogged down, we launch it on May 27th and we just have a big push this month with all the promos with all the new shows like these two Looney Tunes and Elmo gets the families and then later this week we're going to see what new adult programming we have so people start
Starting point is 00:48:14 subscribing maybe that's their plan I don't know also adventure time yeah because HBO now own Cartoon's Cartoon Network, all the Cartoon Network shows are going to be there now at HBO Plus, I mean HBO Max, Doctor Who is going to be housed at HBO Max. Pretty Little Liars, the ABC show is going to be housed at HBO Max. Ellen's Games of Games is going to be housed at HBO Max. Dude.
Starting point is 00:48:46 Did you see, I'm speaking of Ellen, by the way, and I'll leave you with this today, on chewing the fat, and see you know that when you listen to the, the chewing the fat, what you hear, we are so far ahead of the curve. When I told you when the pandemic first started, that I was looking forward to seeing everyone's real hair color, Ellen posted her thing this past weekend about, I'm just letting my hair color grow out, and I guess that's what we're supposed to all do, and isn't that what we're supposed to be is ourselves? and there's no hair or makeup for the Ellen household. So it's all going down.
Starting point is 00:49:23 And that's what's happening for the world of celebrities. So, I mean, me included, I've been this, I mean, I'm not really a blonde. Hello. I know it's, you know, it's going to come as a surprise, but my roots are starting to grow in. Oh, are they? Yeah, I'm going to have to start. Okay. you know you're going to see my true hair color as much as I love being a blonde man
Starting point is 00:49:50 just no no salon to go to I know sad
