Starting point is 00:00:26 And now, a Blaze Media podcast. Hello and welcome to Chewing the Fat. Chewing the Fat podcast with your host, Jeff Fisher. How in the world are you today? I know. I am fan-tastic. Now, we all saw the video of the guy coming up in a sucker punching the 12-year-old kid on the street corner dancing and singing and playing music.
Starting point is 00:00:52 And if you haven't, you know, search for it. It's trending again forever. And I saw the headline last night of the man who, who sucker punched the kid, charged. And I thought, yes, good. Well, not really. Yeah, we charged him with felony assault in the second degree and felony child endangerment in the first degree
Starting point is 00:01:15 to the age of the victim and the violence of the act, according to police in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. However, and we ID'd the man, but we don't know where he is. so uh cedric charles moore junior has been charged but uh we can't find him so we're happy that we charged him and i guess bail has already been set at fifty thousand dollars cash only maybe that's it maybe he's out trying to procure a loan from some sort of banking institution prior to turning himself in So good luck, Cedric. A few things happening around the world today.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Today is Blackout Day, for those of you listening live, July 7th, 2020. It's a protest movement, which I'm not quite sure why it's a protest movement, but it encourages Black Americans to only spend money at businesses owned by Black people. And I am a fan of Black Americans spending money. at businesses owned by black people if they wish. But during another protest movement that encouraged people to come out and destroy businesses, a lot of the black-owned businesses were destroyed.
Starting point is 00:02:44 So it kind of, you know, I would hope that that money that you may have spent that the business owned by black people, you would go and maybe help the businesses who you destroyed another day, maybe to help rebuild. Just a thought on my part, but it really doesn't work that way, doesn't. No, no, no, no, no, it doesn't. Getting ready to shut down again, I saw it come.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Miami-Dade County closing restaurants. Well, sure you can have takeout and delivery. Sure you can have that. But there's not going to be any people coming inside. gyms and other businesses. Miami Day is locking down. Effective tomorrow. And that is probably going to be a domino effect around the country.
Starting point is 00:03:36 I don't know who's going to follow it, but good luck. God bless. Simon & Schuster said they're going to release the book by President Trump's niece earlier than planned. That's a surprise, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah, she's bashing the president or book talking about bad stuff and we might as well get it out there. Yeah, we're going to release it early. Come on. We've got to generate some sales on this thing while people are still talking about it. Yeah. So you can count on that happening. No problem. And let's, I mean, we have Gis Lane, right? They moved her to New York. She's going to be in New York now. She has, she goes in front of the,
Starting point is 00:04:24 judge on Friday in Manhattan federal court. Okay. We'll see what happens. She's been indicted on, you know, including she's been indicted. She conspired to entice girls as young as 14 to engage in illegal sex acts. She had several of Epstein's Jeffrey Epstein, you know, the suicide. person Jeffrey Epstein,
Starting point is 00:04:57 his victims of describe Maxwell as his chief enabler, recruiting and grooming young girls for abuse. She's denied all of that. So we'll see. You know, she definitely, you know, poses a flight risk. You know, there's going to be arguments both ways. She's got a lot of money she can travel anywhere in the world. And then that's true.
Starting point is 00:05:20 She was, you know, hiding out in New Hampshire. So I would say that she may not be a flight risk, but, you know, I guess if you're going to hide out, you want to hide out out in the open, right? So, you know, if you're hiding out in the open at a mansion in New Hampshire, I guess, I don't know. We talked yesterday about Prince Andrew cancering a golf trip to Spain with his buddies. They're saying that he probably will, he's not going to be leaving the UK anytime soon. I if you're in Jeffrey's slash just lane's black book
Starting point is 00:05:57 we'll talk about a little bit yesterday you should be sweating because she's going to make a deal if she doesn't then you know it may save her life I don't know I don't know that you know she is concerned about that or not
Starting point is 00:06:17 you know I don't know if she has any suicidal tendencies but if she makes a deal and opens the black book that she has buried out back somewhere wow there's going to be some sweating people
Starting point is 00:06:39 and then there were reports that there were videotapes okay or at least videos I don't know if there were actual videotapes but there were videos of encounters. All right. I mean, holy cow.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Your name could be in the book. We went down the address book on this show, which was great. It had some big names in it. But you start putting people on video. Ooh. You're in trouble. And I know, you know, Alan Dershowitz, who's been implicated in a lot of these Jeffrey Epstein gatherings.
Starting point is 00:07:20 He says, I hope there's video. That will prove that I'm not involved. So I hope. I mean, I kind of like Alan. So, you know, I hope that that's true. I hope that's not another, you know, I'll just deny, deny, deny. And I'll say that because I know there's not video
Starting point is 00:07:40 or I'm hoping and praying that there's not video. So I'll just say that. So if there's video, it'll prove me correct. I wasn't involved. But then videos come out and, boy, that looks a lot. lot like Alan Dershowitz. So I hope that doesn't happen. We had a former Reddit CEO claiming she knew about the Epstein, Maxwell, you know,
Starting point is 00:08:02 Peddo Network. Okay. All right. You know, if you say so, we've got the Deutsche Bank. The Deutsche Bank is as agreed to a $150 million fine for banking with Jeffrey. incredible. They maintained a relationship as well with related
Starting point is 00:08:23 individuals and entities from August 2013 to 2018. When the bank ended its dealings with him after the Miami Herald published a series of stories about a federal non-prosecution to deal with Epstein in 2008 in Florida. So there were 40 accounts related to Epstein and related people
Starting point is 00:08:39 and entities. Their oversight failure processed hundreds of transactions totaling millions of at the very least should have prompted additional scrutiny. These transactions include payments to people who were publicly alleged to have been Epstein's co-conspiracers in sexual abusing young women. Settlements totaling more than 7 million.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Payments to law firms of more than 6 million for what appear to have been legal expenses. Other payments were made to Russian models, payments for women's school tuition, hotel and rent spaces, consistent with public allegations of prior wrongdoing. payments directly to numerous women with Eastern European surnames. They also noted that Epstein's periodic suspicious cash withdrawals, more than 800,000 over approximately four years. All of these transactions occurred in the months and years after August 2013, when in preparation for the Epstein's accounts being shifted to Deutsche Bank.
Starting point is 00:09:38 So, I mean, they agreed to a $150 million fine. Wow. Just saying, yeah, you know, No, that's fine. We'll give you $150 million. Sorry. Don't look at any more of our accounts. Don't do that. Whatever you do. We're fine. Yeah, boy, we screwed up with Jeffrey, didn't we?
Starting point is 00:10:02 We sure did. Boy, that was silly. And those two other affiliate banks that were doing business with them and stuff, man, we sure. We should have watched them better. Sorry. Oh, boy. So here, take $150,000. million and we'll we'll talk to you later
Starting point is 00:10:20 just stop looking okay you New York State or financial regulators here's 150 million goodbye now see you later don't look any deeper in any other accounts or anything else that's going on over here
Starting point is 00:10:35 I mean they're giving up 150 million that fast okay okay that's just out of the goodness of their heart what else is going on Oh, the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Okay. So a judge has now ordered this pipeline to be shut down in 30 days. Wait, what? I mean, it's already up and running. They've already done the tests and it's got oil flowing through it. And in fact, they've asked to pump more oil through the pipeline. I think that's where that, I think that's actually what brought on, got the, got the things going. They've asked for, they wanted more oil to pump through the pipeline.
Starting point is 00:11:20 I find it incredible. So the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota has been a fierce critic of the pipeline. And they, you know, they protest. And we have protests and people talking about the, you know, going on Sioux territory. Well, it really isn't on Standing Rock Sioux Tribe territory. It just, it's close. And so it goes underneath a river that is flowing toward the, flowing toward the tribe's, you know, reservation.
Starting point is 00:11:58 So they are afraid that if the pipe breaks, then it will affect the, you know, they will obviously go down downstream and it will affect the, the, uh, the reservation. Oh. Okay. Uh, so something might happen. I mean, they, they,
Starting point is 00:12:16 was just incredible. So they, the judge said, nope, you have 30 days to shut it down. I want, I want briefs in front of me showing what's happening. The judge says the Army Corps of Engineers failed to complete a thorough environmental impact review. I mean, that thing was covered. I'd like to talk to somebody about it because I thought that was all already done. Just an amazing thing that they're going to shut it down. and I mean, I guess it's kind of good for Warren Buffett
Starting point is 00:12:50 because that way the oil will move on trains instead of a pipeline so it means more money in his pocket. But what do I know? I'm sure it's just a coincidence, that's all. I'm sure it's just a coincidence. Funny, yeah. And I told you yesterday, we talked about, Snoop Dog
Starting point is 00:13:19 posting his Instagram on getting press for, you know, I wondered why are they doing that, right? Okay. And we know Kanye is running for president, but he's not really running for president, right? He just posts that he's running, getting a bunch of press.
Starting point is 00:13:35 And I told you yesterday, look out for Dr. Dre to be in the news. Well, I've seen today where Bubba Wallace has just signed a new deal with Dr. Dre. and Dre, you know, and his company defends Bubba Wallace. So he's in the news everywhere over the Bubba Wallace deal. And, of course, Trump played into their hands with tweeting about it.
Starting point is 00:13:56 I think yesterday, you know, the deal was long over. Everybody was kind of forgotten about it. And he, you know, has to tweet about it, bring it back into the news. So, you know, it was a perfect time for them because Kanye and Snoop and Dr. Dre all doing an album together. And big surprise, getting all this press. Huh. Really kind of strange how that works. I know. Look, I'm just telling you stories that seem to be connected, but it's just, you know, I'm sure. I'm sure that it is just coincidence. Just coincidence. Okay. And this story. I know that, you know, I'm a huge fan of Heinz ketchup. I believe that all ketchup should be Heinz ketchup in every household and restaurants should. have Heinz available for any human that comes into the home and needs to use ketchup as a condiment of their food.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Well, Heinz now is decided, is decided, has decided, was decided. Heinz be decided. There's nothing better than a cold scoop of ice cream. And why shouldn't there be Heinz ice cream? I am a Heinz ketchup police officer. and I will shut you down if you're a restaurant that has Heinz ketchup bottles
Starting point is 00:15:23 and you're using other types of ketchup. I will shut your restaurant down, man. I mean, I don't have to. Counties and states are doing that on their own now. But, uh, the, in fact, I'll say,
Starting point is 00:15:36 ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. You know, this weekend was down in Austin, right? And now, we were barbecuing. And we realized that we didn't have something from the store. so I take my son to the store. I mean, I'm not going in, but I'll wait outside. And so he comes out and we get a text on the way back,
Starting point is 00:15:56 you know, perfect timing to where I'm not going to turn around and go back. I get a text. I didn't see the text. We get in the house and I get this look like you didn't see the text, which I'm sure they probably sent it like, you know, when I was pulling in the driveway. And I was like, no, we were driving on it and look at the text. and so I looked down
Starting point is 00:16:17 the text says no Heinz ketchup and I seriously A I was ready to turn around B I disowned my son's household and C it was just a joke I just wanted to get under my skin
Starting point is 00:16:33 so I will shut you down if you don't have Heinz and if you're even pretending to have Heinz and don't okay but Heinz now has ice cream now it's only a available right now in the UK. But it's coming here.
Starting point is 00:16:49 You know it is. Heinz creams. H-E-I-N-Z. C-R-E-A-M-Z. Heinz creams. Now, according to them, it's a limited-ed edition dessert. Okay. You have five flavors.
Starting point is 00:17:06 Not just Heinz ketchup and we're done. I mean, if you're going to do it, let's do it that way. But they have five flavors after their, you know, famous sauces, that they call it. They have ketchup, mayo, mustard,
Starting point is 00:17:23 barbecue, salad cream, and saucy sauce. Oh, no thank you. I love ice cream, but that does not sound good to me.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I, you know, maybe I try the ketchup. Maybe I try the ketchup. the mayo? Maybe I try the barbecue. Maybe. But saucy sauce and salad cream and mustard, no, thank you. Ice cream with that bougie sauce. Oh, no thank you. Now, of course, the story, don't knock this sweet treat until you try it. Well, you thanks, Heinz, UK. Thanks, Heinz. We appreciate it. Okay. apparently
Starting point is 00:18:18 we haven't had any great reviews on it big surprise and we'll see they were showing the packages you know the pint packages that it comes in and I like the pint packages it's Heinz it has their you know it's their signature packaging
Starting point is 00:18:36 it'd be great but I'm I'm I'm Uh, I'm, I love ice cream. I know that's, I know that's a surprise, you know, looking at me. Uh, you know, I have, of course, I mean, I don't like, like it much. Silly.
Starting point is 00:18:59 But, uh, oh, oh, I mean, like I said, maybe, maybe the ketchup. I mean, I try the ketchup just out of, you know, respect for Heinz ketchup and my love of it. But the others, uh, mayo cream. and salad creams and saucy sauce creams and barbecue creams. Oh, I see the picture doesn't have the mustard creams. Huh. The picture doesn't have the photo of the pint of mustard creams. Huh.
Starting point is 00:19:31 I wonder why. Wonder why they would do that. Instead of they're just pushing because they put, you know, each corner with the ketchup creams because that's going to be the number one. But they got the salad creams and the side. Saucy sauce creams and the barbecue creams and the mayo creams. Ugh. Oh. New thank you.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Ah, let's go to the break room. I need a drink of ice cold water. Oh, that is so good. So, I want to thank you for those of you who emailed Chewing the Fat at the blaze.com. with your happy stories, you know, just a happy moment in your life. I told the story yesterday that was, I told, you didn't go back and listen to the podcast, that, you know, the story of, you know, finally getting a car when I moved to Florida. And then I saw a story yesterday about Amelia Clark, who is actress, starred in Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 00:20:47 That's where she's, you know, best known from now is Game of Thrones. and there was there's a new book coming out a collection of essays compiled by Adam K. Who is the bestselling. This is going to hurt author. Dear NHS, 100 stories to say thank you, and it's, you know, about Britain's National Health Service. And Clark is one of those stories, one of the 100 stories. and she thanks all the health workers who looked after her
Starting point is 00:21:22 after she suffered her first brain aneurysm in 2011. She suffered a brain aneurysm in 2011 and 2013 between filming seasons of Game of Thrones. And in this article, it talks about the struggles. And you can well imagine how a brain aneurysm may cause, some issues in your life. So she wanted to thank everyone in this story is just incredible how it happened and how
Starting point is 00:21:59 the nurse saved her life and how they took care of her and how the thought of this got her to start a new charity that she calls the same you which aims to boost primary research with Stroke Association UK, and the recovery needs of people who experience brain injuries and strokes, particularly young people. And she goes on to tell the story. And it's really, really a heartwarming, uplifting story if you think you can't do anything. And here's a lady who is trying to, you know, be part of this series Game of Thrones. And at that time, I don't know that it was as renowned as it is now, but it was pretty huge then.
Starting point is 00:22:46 and it's, you know, of course, turned into another, you know, monster after that. And she suffers a couple of brain aneurysms, and she survives, and she continues on with her life. So I wanted to have you email me, you know, happy stories of your life. Happy moments. You know, happy moments of your life that when you realize that that was just a, you look back and you go, man, I was happy then. That was a time, one of the happiest times of my life. and I got plenty of emails
Starting point is 00:23:16 and I'm going through them thank you so much so you can continue to send them to Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com For instance I got one from Tom that says one of the happy moments
Starting point is 00:23:31 of my life that sticks out is when I bowled my first 300 game I was on cloud nine knowing that even the best professional bowler couldn't bowl a higher score than my best game and also the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame
Starting point is 00:23:45 has a display for every 300 game bold. And so I, you know, he was going to be a part of that. That is, that's a moment. And that's exactly what I'm talking about. Of course, Amelia Clark has got the moment of the brain aneurysm. But I'm sure that aside from that, aside, you know, put those little silly brain aneurysms aside, would you? Stop your whining and talking about those brain aneurysms like it was something.
Starting point is 00:24:10 And talk about the happy times in your life. You know, I get the health ones. I do. I get the health ones. And, you know, when your kid was born and, you know, this child was born. My first child was born. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:24:24 Those are huge moments that, you know, many people have and share. I get it. But there are also moments, like the story I told yesterday and, like, Tom's story, that in that moment and for a short period of time thereafter, it's a happy time. And of course, you know, happy times, you know, life is what happens to you when you're waiting for those happy times to happen, right? So anyway, share your stories. And I haven't, I don't know that I'll share them all here on the podcast or if I'll do a YouTube show with them. But I'm going to do something with them. So just share your happy moments and email me at chewing the fat at the blaze.com.
Starting point is 00:25:03 And while you're doing that, if you're listening to this portion of the show and you are not a subscriber to the podcast, what are you doing? subscribe to chewing the fat. Subscribe to the podcast. Subscribe to the YouTube channel, Chewing the fat. Both, amazingly the same, the same name,
Starting point is 00:25:22 chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. Huh. So, subscribe, and then you'll be alerted when new programs upload daily on the podcast and weekly and or more on the YouTube channel.
Starting point is 00:25:37 So don't mess around and think you're just going to walk around, listen to this stuff for free without having to pay a price. Okay? And your price is, well, just going to a, you know, podcast platform of your choice, say like Spotify or iTunes and subscribing to the podcast and then going to, you know, YouTube and, you know, typing in chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher and then subscribing to the YouTube channel.
Starting point is 00:26:04 That's your price. Yeah. Free. Free. You're welcome. All. Let's do a quick, uh, uh, Quick sports up to.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I haven't talked sports in a while, and I could talk sports for, I don't know, ever. But there are some headlines that, you know, some stories that maybe you should know. Congratulations in order to Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs. He just signed an extension to his contract for 10 years. So I guess he's going to be with the Kansas City Chiefs for 12 years or at least another 10. And I don't know why he would sign the deal. It was only worth $503 million.
Starting point is 00:26:53 It's a pretty good deal. It's a pretty good deal. Okay. So he gets $503 million total, and that's with, you know, incentives and everything. He gets $477 million of that $503 million. of that $503 million in guarantees. So he's guaranteed, as long as he's upright,
Starting point is 00:27:19 he's guaranteed $477 million. If there's an injury, if he hurts himself and can't play again, he gets $140 million, that's a good deal. And if I'm Patrick Mahomes at 23, 24, 25 years old, you sign that deal no matter who we are. That's a good deal.
Starting point is 00:27:45 And look, he's, you know, is he worth it? Heck, yeah, he's worth it. I mean, he stays with the Chiefs for 12 more years. He'll bring in, you know, he's worth a lot more than that to the franchise. And speaking of the Chiefs, by the way, why are we still called the Kansas City Chiefs? We're going after the Redskins. The Redskins, I told you yesterday, it was looking like they were going to fold because of the money and it's look at you know they went to look at it and they said they were going to look at it
Starting point is 00:28:15 and they were doing a review and today they're saying yeah you know we probably will change your name you bet you they will i gave you that list yesterday of how much money it's worth and who's making waves i mean dan schneider you know was putting down his foot since 2013 saying uh you know you can capitalize never but uh i guess uh 2020 equals never And for a lot of people, it actually does. So I can understand it. But why aren't the Chiefs getting hammered? Or are we just waiting until, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:47 once we take down the Redskins, we'll go down, we'll go after the Chiefs. Because it is never enough. Remember that. It's never enough. Never enough. Major League Baseball released their shortened schedule. You know, of course, we're still in the pandemic. and they shortened their schedule.
Starting point is 00:29:10 They've got testing delays. We'll see if that season ever happens. We'll see if any of these seasons ever happen this year, really. The NBA releases a list of approved messages for players' jerseys. All good. All good. That's so good. The players are going to be allowed to display on the back of their jerseys
Starting point is 00:29:31 when the season resumes later this month, according to the NBA, which is good. The Players Union agreed to 29 words and phrases that can be displayed on the player's jersey above their number in the space where their last name is typically located. The list includes Black Lives Matter.
Starting point is 00:29:56 How many more? Power to the people. I can't breathe. Anti-Rat. That'll be great. That will be great. You can get vote, justice, peace, equality, freedom, enough. Justice now, say her name.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Yes, we can. Liberation, see us, hear us, respect us, love us, listen, listen to a stand-up ally. I am a man. Speak up. How many more? Group economics, education reform, mentor. Ugh. Oh, that will be.
Starting point is 00:30:34 That's good. That is good. Anyway, you have that to look forward to when the NBA season resumes, if it resumes. So after Uber was kind of shut down for on Grubhub, which remember was purchased by Just Eat Takeaway for $7.3 billion. dollars because Uber's bid was you know
Starting point is 00:31:19 regulatory scrutiny like I don't know not being able to afford it but they acquired Postmates yesterday
Starting point is 00:31:31 so yay it's just a stock deal worth $2.7 billion dollars that's just it though so congratulations to Uber and Uber Eats and
Starting point is 00:31:43 Postmates, Grubhub, Just Eat Takeaway. Just Eat Takeaway, though, that's a European deal. So, you know, we'll see how that holds up. In February, Morgan Stanley estimated the size of U.S. food delivery market at $350 billion. And that's got to be, you know, more than that now, really. But here's how it breaks down by market share. Based on sales, okay? Based on sales.
Starting point is 00:32:11 DoorDash, 44%. Grubhub, 23%. Uber Eats, 23%. Postmates, 8%, and other 2%.
Starting point is 00:32:21 Other, what is that, Bill? Bill's Volkswagen bug delivery service? Yeah, well, good. I mean, I hope Bill does okay. And other. So DoorDash is, you know, by far the biggest.
Starting point is 00:32:35 Grubhub and Uber Eats hanging in there, coming in there at second, and they're growing, right? That's why you have Grubhub, you have Uber Eats and Postmates now, is that puts that number two with those two together. And there's no,
Starting point is 00:32:48 no ranking because that would be outside of the United States, pervy is the just-e takeaway. So we'll see how that does for Grubhub. But, okay, all right. I'm happy to be a part of it. I see where Hamilton, of course, you know, I was forced to watch it about a thousand times from my dog.
Starting point is 00:33:13 who's busy singing the Hamilton musical for the past, I don't know how many, how long. I mean, it's just running around the house singing Hamilton in every few words. I'm reminded of this song and off she goes into Hamilton music. But Disney Plus released it this past weekend, if you weren't aware. But I talked about it down in the previous podcast. 74% increase in U.S. downloads over the weekend. Wow.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Compared to the average four weekends in June. that's huge. That's a big sell. And that's what they were hoping for, right? They're also hoping that that's a sign that people will watch Broadway plays at musicals, you know, anywhere on whatever streaming service. But for sure, Disney. And I don't know. I think that's an outlier.
Starting point is 00:34:01 I think Hamilton is an outlier. It's on its own. And of course, it's so big it's starting to get, you know, getting hit. And Lynn Manuel Miranda is apologizing. And the whole world just hates Hamilton. And, you know, things, but wasn't it just a little bit ago when Hamilton was the epitome of what we needed to be? Yes. Yes, it was.
Starting point is 00:34:22 We have many street. We talked about this, too. I'm in love with Amazon. Netflix, Hulu, and HBO now have a party way so you can, you know, bring people in and watch the same shows together apart. Amazon has a watch party icon. Netflix download the Netflix party or screener app, a Seiner app. Hulu, watch party icon on select titles.
Starting point is 00:34:53 And HBO, you have to link your account with Seiner. Same as Netflix. Wow, Senor. That may be something to invest in. Just a thought, S-C-E-N-E-R. but they want you know this pandemic has brought people we want to be able to watch a movie with our friends but we can't go over to their house because of the lockdowns and the rona so uh we you know Netflix I think was the first and others we go watch it together I mean I've asked for some other changes
Starting point is 00:35:27 as well to cable and streaming apps so you know I hope that that happens very soon be nice. Thank you. I appreciate it. Speaking of apps, TikTok taking a hit. Time is running out on TikTok. The tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, TikTok, talk, talk,
Starting point is 00:35:47 talk, talk, talk, is running out. We talked, I think yesterday or last week, India, banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok. Our
Starting point is 00:36:03 Secretary of State or Attorney General Pompeo, right? He's the Secretary of State. He teased the USA banning TikTok, the Chinese app. Wow. I mean, it's the cancel culture.
Starting point is 00:36:19 So let's cancel it. Get rid of it. Have a nice day. Get it out of here. I mean, okay. All right. I mean, I guess that's a good thing. I want to say.
Starting point is 00:36:34 it's a good thing. I don't know that it is. I guess it is. But okay. And you all can rest easy. You all can rest easy. All right. I know that you're upset because Hallie Berry was considering playing a role as a cisgender woman.
Starting point is 00:36:59 And the transgender community. and the other activists who were upset for the transgender community were angry that Hallie Berry would consider playing a transgender role. So Hallie Berry, and this is where you can breathe easy, has apologized and is no longer considering a transgender role. So you can breathe easy. Okay? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:31 I know. I know. I know. And for those of you that were traveling this weekend, as I did, as I traveled in an automobile from one house to another house, I didn't fly anywhere. Air travel did get a bump this holiday weekend, which is huge, right? I mean, we haven't checked the TSA checkpoint travel numbers in a while. So the last two days, according to that story, the air travel got a bump. The 5th and the 6th yesterday, for those of you listening live on the 7th of July 2020,
Starting point is 00:38:15 they were up over 700,000. Wow. And let's see. The 4th of July was 466,000, but two days before, the second and the third, 764, 718. And then yesterday and the day before. 4732 and 755, relatively speaking, and they, you know, people traveling to and fro. And that's where people do on holiday weekends. They travel to and fro.
Starting point is 00:38:43 But, I mean, that's still, I mean, that's still down. Right. I mean, I don't know. You know, you can do the math. What are you looking at? It was last year. Okay. So yesterday, 755,55 people traveled through the turnstiles for the TSA.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Last year was 2,748,718 through the turnstiles. So you can do your own math, figure it out yourself what the percentage is, but it still ain't good for the airline. I mean, that's not even half. Okay? That's not even... Holy cow. Just incredible. So, man, we need to do a lot more for that.
Starting point is 00:39:45 And if they're starting to lock down counties and states again, you can count on that number dropping back down dramatically. So we're still running from me. the Rona baby running from the Rona Download and subscribe to more content at the blaze.com slash podcasts So speaking of running from the Rona
Starting point is 00:40:14 there are experts now saying we'll be wearing masks for several years Yay so according to Eric Toner senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. He's been preparing for an outbreak like the Novell
Starting point is 00:40:36 Corona of coronavirus as part of his work for years. His team of researchers have launched a coronavirus simulation in New York running through various scenarios on how residents, governments, and private businesses would hypothetically react to the threat. One thing that stood out to him, face coverings are a vital defense to stop the spread of the virus. He believes COVID-19 won't slow down in the U.S.
Starting point is 00:41:06 even as states start to slowly reopen. We'll have a summertime lull. Big wave in the fall, which we've heard about, but now we've got the big wave now because of the protests. That's just me, my opinion. And it's going to be locked down again, which I believe is happening as we speak. So he believes that we'll be wearing masks and for the next several years.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Yay! So social distancing, wearing masks until the vaccine arrives. And then once the vaccine is here, you're still going to be told, you still need to social distance and wear masks because the vaccine doesn't kill every form, every strain of the Novell coronavirus so you should still social distance and wear a mask okay you know what and I'm okay with you telling me
Starting point is 00:42:09 yeah you need to you should probably wear a mask for your safety just don't force me I'm okay tell me I should wear one tell me I should social distance I'll be careful I'll decide I'll decide whether I wear one or not And we've got plenty of government officials around this country, governors, mayors, county kings,
Starting point is 00:42:40 deciding that they know best and we'll tell you what to do. And if you don't, you'll be fined, locked up, shot in the head, whatever we deemed is the right response to you not following our mandates. It is out of control. out of control. So it's just, you know, just thinking out loud. That's all.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Just thinking out loud. So Jared Murray has been in prison for quite some time. He and his mom got in trouble. He's in prison for the past decade, and he's still supposed to be there for another 10 or 15 years. He got locked. up for his participation in an armed robbery, masterminded by his mother. But he's been there.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Well, he came up with a pretty ingenious idea. He's been building a new home in Lake Placid, Florida. Now, I guess red flag started appearing right away because every two or three weeks, he'd change his cell number. Then he'd never answer the phone. And when he did, he was always around a lot of other people. He had construction materials sent to the job site exclusively from Lowe's. The items were delivered by couriers driving, rented U-Haul trucks, often at odd hours.
Starting point is 00:44:13 The contractor says Murray told him his uncle worked at Lowe's. He got a 50% off everything. And all of his businesses were handled by someone who lived in the area and identified herself as Murray's aunt. everything said the contractor felt really shady did it it felt so shady I continued to build the house
Starting point is 00:44:35 but you know that's that's how shady it felt but I tried to meet him he always had an excuse he was in Georgia he was in Jacksonville or somewhere else in fact nobody ever met Murray yeah because he was in prison
Starting point is 00:44:48 so now the FBI has have, you know, kind of locked it down and there, you know, got them, you know, on a scheme to defraud Lowe's, uh, over, well over a million dollars worth of inventory. So he's using, uh, cell phone smuggled into the, uh, into the prison. I'm sorry, the South Bay Correctional Facility. And he stole identities of contractors with open lines of credit at Lowe's.
Starting point is 00:45:26 then, and this is, you know, according to the affidavit, then he would order large amounts of building supplies, charging them to the contractor's accounts. Well, you know, I mean, those particular contractors didn't realize it at the time. And then a series of go-betweens picked up the material from those delivering to some of crews at Lake Placid, according to the federal affidavit. what he didn't use he sold at a steep discount on offer up which is a craigslist style online marketplace and used the proceeds to pay for the construction now there's an unfinished three-bed
Starting point is 00:46:09 two-bath home now listed for sale at $185,000 all during the time he was in prison now if he wants to build a house for me that would be great I am a fan. So give me a call. Now, I love this story, too, as it talks about, you know, prisoners have long used contraband cell phones to pull off manner of scams from inside. About attempting to build and sell a house from behind bars. That's a new level of sophistication.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Okay. Now, the affidavit, of course, they don't specify how he obtained the cell phone. Well, I mean, we all know that, you know, those contraband cell phones get in the prison somehow. Many people have been caught with those cell phones while in prison. They weren't supposed to be there. But they also throw at the end, of course, incarcerated people also use contraband phones to avoid paying the exorbitant prices charged by private companies that provide phone
Starting point is 00:47:13 service in jails in prison. Oh, okay. So it isn't just that they're sneaking in this contraband, which, you know, a cell phone Okay. Is it contraband? It is if it's made of methamphetamine. Yeah, okay, I got it. It is if it's full of cocaine. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:33 What about the other contraband? Yeah, I know. I know. I don't know that I necessarily want to use the cell phone that was snuck in through my cavity in the rear. But I guess if you needed one bad enough, you'd use it. But those damn private companies that provide phone service in jails and prisons charge too much. So damn them. And inmates call their mothers. And that's what they do with it.
Starting point is 00:48:05 Okay. So there you go. Got it? I love Murray though. He started out. The story goes on. I love this guy. I want him to build me a house from prison, you know, so I don't have to pay for it. they claimed that he purchased the lot for $4,500. I paid for the loan using or playing for the land using a bank account in his female associate's name. His aunt is on all the county building permits and is, you know, is an authorized representative. I, this guy figured out the system and damn him. And he figured out the system and he used contraband because, because, because those private companies are charging exorbitant prices to provide phone service in jails and prisons for inmates to call their mothers on holidays. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:14 You got it. That's the problem. That is the problem. And I do another email at Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com from Mike has a thought and an idea that I am hesitant to share with you. Because it's kind of like why they're not after the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean, they're coming for the Chiefs. Don't worry about it. We're busy with the Redskins right now. We're busy with the Cleveland Indians right now. But we're coming for the Kansas City Chiefs, even though.
Starting point is 00:49:44 you still, you love Patrick Mahomes and we just signed a huge deal with them and we want him part of a, you know, part of the team. But shh, don't come after us. Well, Mike has decided that with all the protesters wanting to take statues down, such as Lincoln, he's wondering when the protesters will want Lincoln removed from the Illinois license plates. There's an image of Lincoln and the license plate says land of Lincoln so it's coming I'm surprised they still have that actually that's amazing now he offers a replacement
Starting point is 00:50:27 idea his idea has a suggestion for a replacement of the Illinois state license plate would be Illinois the state where the governor serves two terms one term in office
Starting point is 00:50:43 and the next term in prison. I mean, it's a start. I don't know if it's a lot of words go on that license plate, but it's a start. Maybe we just, you know, I don't know, two terms. One in office, one in prison.
Starting point is 00:51:03 It's a little bit shorter, but not sure it works. But, shh, don't say anything out loud. Just remember that the land of Lincoln and the picture of Lincoln on the license plate still exists. You may have heard of the sex cult nexium and the famous actress who went to prison for her involvement, Alison Mack. But she's never told her side of the story until now. People assume that I'm like this pervert.
Starting point is 00:51:45 My name is Natalie Robamed, and in my new podcast, I talked to Allison to try to understand how she went from TV actor to cult member. How do you feel about having been involved in bringing sexual trauma at other people? I don't even know how to answer that question. Allison after Nexium from CBC's Uncover is available now on Spotify.
