Well, how about the kid that had a Lego stuck in his nose for two years? He told his parents, hey, I lost the small Lego piece.
Starting point is 00:01:20 It went up my nose from a cupcake that I sniffed. Now, I don't know if the parents had the kid checked after that. I guess it's possible. I'm not talking about checked for the for the Lego piece. I'm talking about checked for why are you sniffing a cupcake? You're supposed to be eating it. But Dad said, hey, he told us about it. Nothing came out.
Starting point is 00:01:46 We forgot about it. He blew his nose a couple days ago. Out came the Lego with growth around it. Nastiness. Oh. Hey, Dad. And mom, I found the Lego. You were telling me it wasn't there.
Starting point is 00:02:05 But here it is. So just when you think you're having a bad day, you're not. You don't have a Lego stuck in your nose for two years. Welcome to chewing the fat. All right, all you people that were worried about the annual memorial tribute to the World Trade Center. they have now said, you know what? Wow, we can't put the lights up for the tribute in light. We weren't going to do it because of COVID-19,
Starting point is 00:02:44 but we've decided that, you know what, we've heard from the people, and we can do it safely. It's giant lights at the former World Trade Center grounds. I'm not quite sure how that, is concerning to COVID-19. I guess it's just the people that are working there that have to be there to put the lights up, but they have decided that they're going to do it.
Starting point is 00:03:14 And thankfully, the display is awesome. And it's not like people show up. Oh, God. Because the flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away. And I'm proud to be an American. Right. Thank you. Thank you. We're back. We're back. We're proud to be American. We can do it with health and safety. The personnel can be supervised and we can actually set up the lights. I don't understand why it was such a big deal. I actually, I don't know how many times I've seen that guy sing that song.
Starting point is 00:04:04 but I was fortunate enough to see him sing it a cappella at one event because the sound system broke down and so he didn't have the band or the music playing he only had his microphone and we were fortunate enough to hear him sing
Starting point is 00:04:25 without the music and I hadn't started again but just my children and my children and my wife Thank my lupy stars to be living the flag still stands
Starting point is 00:04:44 for freedom and they can't take that I'm And I'm proud to be A classic Lee Greenwood Coming at you Good day on chewing the fat All request chewing the fat We'll take your request at 888
Starting point is 00:05:06 I better not give any real numbers The people to be calling Chewing the fat all requests lunch hour coming at you and stay tuned to for your chance to win an army's a jemoka shake and a free loom from harry's auto hey
Starting point is 00:05:23 so I know today's kind of a political day and I don't want to run you off because I've got some great stories that aren't political at all but last night was the first night of the
Starting point is 00:05:41 2020 Democratic Convention. Maybe you're listening to and the fact to get away from it. I don't know, but it was just, I watched it, I watched it, I wasn't going to,
Starting point is 00:05:54 first let me say this, I wasn't going to watch it. And I went, I thought, you know what, I'll just go, go click on Amazon and I'll watch a movie
Starting point is 00:06:03 or I'll find another detective show to watch on Amazon. And on the home screen of my Amazon app is the DNC20 convention. There's like, eight of them. I don't even, I mean, there was multiple squares on Amazon for the DNC convention.
Starting point is 00:06:22 So I don't know if they were each different feeds or if it was all just the same one and they were like, hey, don't forget, don't forget. It was the same thing, peacock. I was going to watch some King of the Hill, I mean, King of Queens. And when I opened my peacock, it was smack that in the middle. It was like, the only thing you could watch was the DNC. I'm like, no They weren't allowing people to watch anything
Starting point is 00:06:46 I want to watch King of Queens Like no The DNC you must watch I was like okay So I click on it It's like I know right exactly Exactly
Starting point is 00:06:56 So okay I'll cut my veins open And just shove it through my veins Just go right through my veins And there was like five minutes Before it was supposed to technically start Yes I said well okay cool
Starting point is 00:07:08 I'll turn it on to see If there's any mistakes Or see what's going on And I think it was the Amazon at least seemed to me, and I didn't watch any of the other network coverages, but it seemed to me the Amazon feed was the like the direct feed. Oh, the satellite fee? Because like a few minutes before it was supposed to start, Eva walked up and looked at the camera and said, yeah, I'd like to have this on and this on. And she was talking to people. And then she walked away.
Starting point is 00:07:38 But it hadn't started. And then she walked away. and then it went dark again. Did you? It was like the inside feed. Was that same feed, the same feed that showed Crazy Bernie?
Starting point is 00:07:54 Did you see that? Well, I mean, I watched the whole thing. Oh, here. Okay. So I want to play something real quick for you. This is the feed that caught. It wasn't a hot mic moment,
Starting point is 00:08:10 but this is why. happen. Are my hands showing what I'm up here? Yes. They are? Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, you don't want. But when you zoom in a little bit more, they're going to, they'll zoom in a little bit more is that a terrible thing down the hands showing?
Starting point is 00:08:31 Yes. Well, it's not, it's terrible, but what's been good is. One and a half? Yes. Okay. You probably should get off the screen. I'm going to give it the speech. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Hello. Go ahead, Bernie, you're on. Stop, it's enough. Enough. Oh, he's had enough. Get out of here. I got it. Okay, remember, no moving around if we can avoid that.
Starting point is 00:09:03 About one minute. One minute. And who's going to tell me? You're going to tell me? Okay. So I'll hear you, I'll say go. That's awesome. 45 seconds.
Starting point is 00:09:18 possible that I went to the bathroom when this was going on. He's practicing. If you can't hear it, he's practicing what he's going to say. He's looking over the speech. Yeah. You have to.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Right? I mean, he's just getting into his head. I wish more people would have done that last night. They were incredibly agonizing. 10? All right. There we go. Five?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Five seconds. I already said that. Good evening. That's awesome. Now, did you also catch at the end of Bernie? All right, so at the end of Bernie, they did the montage of the people at their homes watching, and they were all clapping and applauding at the end of a lot of these speeches or videos. And at the end of Bernie, they were.
Starting point is 00:10:29 went to the audience, right? They showed the people in their homes. And two of the people, you know, all of them are supposed to be clapping and excited and, and yay. And two families are just sitting there on their sofas with their head down. Like, oh, my God, it's never going to get on. When is it over? It's never going to.
Starting point is 00:10:48 And then they realized they were on. Oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, great Bernie, great job. It was awesome because he, that's how inspiring he was. that's how inspiring he was now there were plenty of other agonizing events uh what's his face from north carolina
Starting point is 00:11:06 started and stopped we started again uh whitmer was agonizing but i think my favorite or at least worst moment was the young lady from Arizona who
Starting point is 00:11:24 told us that she lost her father to COVID-19, which was really sad. Right? I mean, her dad died of COVID-19, and he suffered. He went to the hospital, and they have a picture of him in the hospital's suffering. It was sad. But she blamed and blames her father's death on President Trump. And I was so angry at her because President Trump had absolutely nothing. to do with her father's death.
Starting point is 00:12:04 But this is what she said. My dad, Mark Anthony or Kesa, should be here today, but he isn't. He had faith in Donald Trump. He voted for him, listened to him, believed him and his mouthpieces when they said that coronavirus was under control and going to disappear. That it was okay to end social distancing rules before it was safe. and that if you had no underlying health conditions, you'd probably be fine.
Starting point is 00:12:35 So in late May, after the stay-at-home order was lifted in Arizona, my dad went to a karaoke bar with his friends. A few weeks later, he was put on a ventilator. And after five agonizing days. Okay, so he goes to a carry, the picture is him at a karaoke bar, goes with his friends out to party. So he goes out to party,
Starting point is 00:12:58 and contracts COVID-19, according to her. He was 65 years old, so he's in the window that no one ever said was not the window. He died alone. That sucks. I know. You can't go into the hospital anymore. You can't go into the hospital now, but it's really, I mean, you've got to be family and you've got to be hosed down.
Starting point is 00:13:22 And, you know, so, I mean, that really is a tough part of the COVID-19 and the hospital's not being able to be with your with your loved ones but he was 65 years old in the window she claims he has no pre-existing conditions although he did seem to look like and i am kind of an expert at what people look like if they're overweight and he looked overweight to me in the picture i you know i just you know i i could go to court and say yes i'm an expert on overweightness your honor And so while she claimed he had no preexisting conditions, two conditions right there are preexisting, 65 and overweight. Just incredible. She made me so angry blaming that on President Trump.
Starting point is 00:14:12 And I was so sad for her losing her dad. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Michelle Obama, oh my gosh. I just, I can't. And there's three more days of it. And because it's right there on my Amazon screen, I have. have to watch. I'm told it's on Roku. They've made it available. I mean, they've made it available everywhere. ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, C-SPAN, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV,
Starting point is 00:14:46 Amazon Prime Video. And it says, this note says on Amazon Prime Video by searching DNC. You don't have to search. Just click on your Amazon app. It's right there. So, I mean, it's just, it's, it's in your face. So you have to watch. I'm pretty sure it's a law. Pretty sure it's a law. But enough, I digress. I digress.
Starting point is 00:15:11 So let's just, let's get away from the convention and talk to you a little bit about Babylon B being suspended on Twitter. Okay, so it was an accident. Okay, so that's fine. Twitter suspended them and sure it was, of course it was an accident. Of course it was and you knew that's what was going to happen, right? When the news broke that they were suspended, oh, it was just the algorithm. It was just the algorithm. Sorry, I got, you know, one thing led to another and it got caught up into our algorithm.
Starting point is 00:15:48 And, you know, you're back now. And look, you'll probably get your followers back. It'll take a little time, but we'll get your followers back. I mean to tell you. And I started thinking to myself, you know, I wonder if I could get rid of my social media accounts. But that would be giving them what they want, right? And that's what also made me happy that I'm starting,
Starting point is 00:16:12 and I've started to use in the last couple weeks, ExpressVPN. Now, when you say to yourself, wait, ExpressVPN, does that help my internet? We know it helps hide you from, let's say, Facebook as they track your searches and video history and everything you click on and then sell your data, your valuable data. Yeah. Well, when you use ExpressVPN, you're anonymous. Much of your online presence, your IP address hidden. And that makes your activity more difficult to trace and sell to everything.
Starting point is 00:16:56 advertisers, but you're still using your social media accounts. I love that. Let me sell it. Let me sell the information if I want to sell it. But we've been giving it to them for free. But with ExpressVPN, I'm not giving it to them anymore. ExpressVPN, you know, it could be easier to set up. You have to tap a button on your phone or your computer and you're protected when you log on.
Starting point is 00:17:24 It encrypts 100% of your data to protect you from hackers and internet bad guys. And are we calling Facebook and Twitter internet bad guys? Will they take your information? Yeah, we are. So say no to the censorship and take back your online privacy. ExpressVPN.com slash Jeffie, J-E-F-F-F-Y. ExpressVPN.com slash Jeffie. You go to expressv-N.com slash Jeffie.
Starting point is 00:17:54 You'll get an extra three months of ExpressVPN service for free. ExpressVPN, E-X-P-R-E-S-V-S-V-N.com slash Jeffie. Okay, one more thing about the, about the, about the, NC convention. I know. I know. I promise I'll let it go, maybe. Michelle Obama, agonizing. And she is so happy to be speaking on behalf of Joe Biden that she must have, she recorded this, I don't know, a month ago. It was before she didn't mention, she didn't mention Kamala. So it was before they picked her. And she said the number of 150,000 deaths. when we're over
Starting point is 00:18:56 170,000 now. So just whenever we were at 150,000 is when she recorded it. Someone should have told her, Michelle, don't. Don't date it with the numbers like that. But no, they didn't do it. And how about that vote necklace?
Starting point is 00:19:12 Don't you want that vote necklace? Weren't you searching online when she was speaking? No, you waited until she was done because you wanted to hear what she had to say. It was so important. just completely agonizing. The whole thing. Just the whole video convention thing.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I got to go to the break room. I need a drink desperately. I might need something stronger. I don't even drink. Oh, no. So when you hear that sounder, that means there's breaking news because when CTF records,
Starting point is 00:19:58 news happens. Let's go to our man on the street. Chris Cruz with breaking news, Chris. Hey, Fisher, I'm right here, as you can see behind me. I'm right in the White House. That's incredible. I didn't realize you had the pass. I did.
Starting point is 00:20:12 I did have a pass, and it was very difficult to get, but Trump allowed me to go in. And I just want to play something real point. Well, you're a big supporter. You're a big supporter. I am. I am. And I just want to give you the latest news from the horse's mouth.
Starting point is 00:20:28 Okay. A full and complete pardon for. Susan B. Anthony. She was never pardoned. Did you know that? She was never going. She got a pardon for a lot of other women and she didn't put her name on the list. So she was never pardoned and we're for a voting. That's right, she was guilty for voting and we are going to be signing a full and complete pardon And I think that's That's been a hundred years since we gave women the right to vote.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Yep. And what's upsetting about this was because the Joe Exotic people thought that he was going to be getting the pardoned today. And the camp for Snowden also thought that he was going to get a pardon today by the president. But Trump said it wasn't going to be Snowden, right? It wasn't going to be Snowden and it wasn't going to be Flynn. Yes. So two camps was very anxious to find out the Snowden camp and the Joe Exotic camp was eager at their seats waiting for a pardon from the president. And that's not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:21:47 So please someone go wake up Susan B. Anthony and tell her she get out of jail now because she has a full pardon sign by the president of the United States of America. I mean, I want to like that. I want to say, it's funny. I mean, he's going to get crushed. I mean, he gets crushed no matter what he does, but he's just going to get crushed for that. I mean, he yanked their chain hard on that. Now, I mean, but congratulations, I'm happy.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Yes, so please, like I said, someone called Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and let them know that Susan B. Anthony's being parted to go pick her up at the jail. Now, you might ask me, Jeffrey, why is Joe Exotic trending on social media? And you just got down talking about ExpressVPN. Chris, why is Joe Exotic trending on Twitter? Well, Joe Exotic is trending on Twitter under movies and TV.
Starting point is 00:22:47 And here's the reason why Joe Exotic is trending today. Susan B. Anthony, a leader in the woman's suffrage movement, was pardoned by Trump, believing fans of Tiger Kings, Joe Exxate, who is serving a 22-year prison disappointed, he wasn't the one to secure a presidential pardon. Yeah, sad. Sad. I mean, Joe, you're not going to get pardoned, bro.
Starting point is 00:23:13 All right. It's not going to happen for you. I love the whole thing. I love the whole thing. I love it. And look, your boys in trouble at your zoo. They're still going after, what's your face in Tampa. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:27 What happened? we have to do it. We have to do a Joe Exotic episode. Okay. And we talked about the queue. This could just be an audio so it doesn't go into the queue. So people would be like, damn, I have to wait like what? Three months?
Starting point is 00:23:41 No. No. No, no. This is not part of the queue. So we have to do a Ellen podcast because did you see what happened last night? I was going to text you last night. Did you see what happened last night? They got rid of the producers.
Starting point is 00:23:55 They got rid of the. Okay. Do not blow them off just like they got rid of the top three producers. I know. She sold them under the river when she made her first statement. Ed Gladvin, Kevin Lehman, Jonathan Morgan. Not going to be enough. Had parted ways with this show.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Not enough. For the first time, Fisher. Not enough. For the first time in history of CTF history, you were the first one. on this story. I know. Not even entertainment tonight.
Starting point is 00:24:32 That hurts me that you say for the first time in history because that's not true. But go ahead. Not even entertainment tonight. Not even People's Magazine. Not even any entertainment news organization
Starting point is 00:24:44 out there. Well, it's not on the ball when he came to why they're coming against Ellen. Ctm records. News happens. Jeffie, thank you for
Starting point is 00:25:10 I'm right here in front of Netflix studios. We just got another breaking new that just happened. I'm right here behind. You can see Netflix is right there. You can see the Obama's walking up to their next board meeting. Your favorite comedian, Hassan Mijag. I love him. From the Patriot Act host of the Patriot Act has not been renewed for another season on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:25:39 It has not been renewed. It has not. It has not been renewed. Oh, no. So, dry you tears. And I just, I'm sorry that I break it to you like this. But your favorite comedian. And such good news with Susan B. Anthony being pardoned.
Starting point is 00:25:57 I know. I know. I know. And I'm so sorry. I should have done this off the air. But your favorite comedian, Hassan Minjar, host of Patriot Act, has not been renewed for another season at Netflix. back to you at the studios.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Thank you, Chris. You're reporting live coast to coast on CTF. One moment at the White House and the next moment in front of Twitter headquarters. It was, that was, it looked like the San Francisco headquarters. Yeah, no, it was not on Twitter. It's right behind me, but this is the Netflix headquarters. Like I said, you saw. Yeah, you saw.
Starting point is 00:26:32 That is in California. That is on the other coast. Yeah, like I said, you could see Obama's walking up the stairs heading to their next board meeting. I apologize. I'm so sorry. Eddie, when we're breaking when news happens. CTI records.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Thank you, Chris. I appreciate you. You know, you brought up Ellen. I see where my girl, Anne Hache, of course, they got to keep,
Starting point is 00:26:58 I mean, it is non-stop, Ellen, okay? And I told you yesterday, I want her in jail. I don't want, I don't care about the show
Starting point is 00:27:08 being off the air. I don't care about her live. hood being taken away from her. I want her in jail. That's how bad a person she is. Okay. But they're dragging out Anne Heish, because remember they used
Starting point is 00:27:20 to date years ago. Now, Ann is quoted in this interview as saying I haven't spoken to Ellen in years. I'd listen to what the people who have. Oh, okay. Now, I want to also
Starting point is 00:27:36 tell you the other quote that Ann talked about, not my favorite quote. from the movie Volcano. Wow. Not that one. But, and if I wanted to spend three bucks, I'd buy that movie just for that quote. But I don't want to waste three bucks on an NIH movie. Anyway, if I'm standing, this is the rest of her quote.
Starting point is 00:27:58 If I'm standing someplace and I don't like what's going on there and I stay there, it's my fault. Thank you. Thank you. Can we apply that same quote to the Harvey Weinstein case? Ellen is standing where she walks, and that is hers to continue that journey. Thank you. Thank you, man. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:28:24 I know. I know. You know what I say to that? Wow. Yeah. That's what I say to that. Can I quote you on that, please? Yes, you can.
Starting point is 00:28:33 Well, that's an age quote. I don't want to steal quotes. I've enough people who've stolen my quotes. You already have a history of stealing quotes. quotes. The other people have the history of stealing my quotes. That's correct. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:44 So I'll put wow. Jeff Fisher. Stolen from Anne Hage. But yeah, it's just, I mean, it's just, we're dragging out, Anne Hage. She's going to send you a siss in the sysh order. She is gone. Ellen is done. So, and funny you say, because every since we started talking about, well, you started
Starting point is 00:29:06 talking about Ellen, I just being ignoring you, I went back on my, I went back on my, I went back on my emails and started to get, you know, the segments that they sent me, the communications. And I was thinking, I'm like, any of these emails can I profit of any of these emails? And I can't. They were so nice to me. I've read emails after emails. I've watched interviews that I've done. And I'm like, can I spin?
Starting point is 00:29:33 No, I can't. Not even with a left spin, Fisher. I can spin it. so Ellen if you're listening we know you listen to chewing their fat baby you lost three producers you have two of them in this room and we're both we both are so big that we could fit all three roles and many mores you know I tell you okay so hold on if you're telling me that Ellen DeGeneres tells you hey Fisher Warner is saying
Starting point is 00:30:03 the show must go on and I need you to replace one of the top producers of my show you're saying no to that? No, I am not saying no to that. Okay. I was just going to, please let me finish. I started with saying I will say that Ellen, if you, you know, need the expertise, I'll take back throwing you in jail. I'll take back throwing you.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Oh, yeah, you did say that. So I need you to walk that back. I know. Yeah, I know. I'll delete it. I'll delete it. And I've got a YouTube video coming out. in the next couple of days that is going to
Starting point is 00:30:41 you know that says that and I don't want to have to not post that so get a hold of me in the next couple days that one so for those of you keeping track at home we have another video in the queue we have so many videos in the queue that when
Starting point is 00:30:58 Jeff Fisher passes away it looks like I'm going to have to start publishing them and Fisher from beyond the grave Fat from the grave. I like that actually. No, no, no. No, no, no, we don't like that.
Starting point is 00:31:17 No more. I can't give you any more ideas. We're done. I need you to at least do one of your ideas. I just said, I've got, well, right now we've got two videos that are going to be, that are going to be posted, you know, the next day or so. Yeah, and then we have my. Bougy perfume candle.
Starting point is 00:31:39 That's in the queue. We talked about that already. That's like $300 candle just sitting there might. I will say that that candle seems and that could be wrong. I doubt it, but I could be wrong.
Starting point is 00:31:53 That it seems to have gone up in price. Well, it hasn't, it's like a collectible item. The more you don't use it, the higher value it gets. And by the way, look who we got. We got them back. Oh, good.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Dr. Fauci is back. So we have to do another video of Dr. Fauci. It made the rounds on the Blaze Network without any proper due to chewing the fat. I'll tell you that. The bobblehead for Anthony Fauci. And I see the bobblehead people advertising on the Blaze now. I hope we're getting the show's getting a cut. I'll tell you that.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Oh, yeah, you can count on that. You can count on that that. that we're getting a cut of that. Not a chance in hell of that happening. So much yet to get to here on Chewing the Fat Today. Thank you so much for coming along for the ride. I appreciate it. Remember to subscribe to this podcast.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Find a platform that you like. Find a platform that warms the little cockles of your heart and then subscribe to chewing the fat. It's just that simple. Starting point is 00:33:24 I don't know, like iTunes. And subscribe to Chewing the Fat. The rest of them, you're going to have to, you know, you can pick those out of your own hat, okay? But subscribe to chewing the fat. It's very important. It's an important piece of the puzzle that you are now involved in as a listener of this program. If you're listening right now and you're not a subscriber to chewing the fat,
Starting point is 00:33:45 it's a sad day for you. It's a sad day for you. Make it a happy day and subscribe to chewing the fat. So, let's get to it. Friday is going to be a huge day here on chewing the fat. Sentencing day on Friday for Lori Loughlin. You know Lori Loughlin? Yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Lori, Lori, Lori, pay for my tuition, Lori. Yeah, that's right. Back of the news, Operation Varsity Blues. I only need to hear it just once today. Oh, man. Starring William Conrad with guest stars, Scott Marlowe. I don't care about the guest stars. The guest stars, Lori Loughlin.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Ah, that makes me feel better. So Friday, I'll be in Operation Varsity Blues in full swing. We have North Korea. Got it. Tonight's episode, Country Blues. Tonight's episode, North Korea orders pet dogs seized for food. Yeah, North Korea apparently is calling dog ownership capitalists decadence. And so he's going around, Kimmy is going around.
Starting point is 00:35:32 picking up all the dogs. And so if you've got a good looking dog, yes. And if you say, but wait, that's my dog. Thank you. Not only the dog,
Starting point is 00:35:47 but you. Apparently, you're right. Apparently, the dog ownership thing is a tainted trend by the bourgeois ideology, according to the great leader.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Can you know. And so we're going to take your dog now and we're going to take it to the state-owned zoo or we're going to take it to the restaurants to be sold for food. Either way, though, we're taking it. Now, right, you can say, sure, no problem. Take my dog. We love you. I hate that stupid thing. I don't know why I have it.
Starting point is 00:36:28 The dog then is the only one that gets the, but if that split second, For those of you listening in North Korea, that split second that you think to yourself, no, that's my dog, you bastard. Don't say it and don't have that look on your face. Because you know, that split second of, that's my dog, you son of that look on your face will do you in, man. So be ready. Be forward. Thanks to chewing the fat.
Starting point is 00:37:04 When they come a knock it. Turn Fluffy over. Your life is more important than Fluffies. If you don't feel that way, well, you know, take one for the team. Okay, so Walmart, I see a headline yesterday about Walmart making a deal with Instacart for same-day grocery delivery. I thought what happened to the Walmart thing, the Walmart special thing that we were supposed to have. Hey, just because I'm a shareholder, don't not hold me account. of what the Walton's are doing.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Well, I mean, I'm a little upset. I'm a little upset, too, because the only reason I decided to buy more stock of Walmart was because of the big that was supposed to happen. What did they call it? In July, Walmart Plus. How can you not remember that? Yeah, Walmart Plus. Like, Jeffie.
Starting point is 00:38:02 Sorry, I know this is a board feeding. I know this is a very challenging word because no other thing has a, a plus after their product, Apple Plus, Apple TV Plus, Disney Plus, Hulu Plus. I'm just saying, you know, it's very difficult to remember that. Plus sign.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Hulu Plus. The thing. That's like I said, the thing. So what happened to that? I thought we were supposed to have that by now. Dude, I've been checking and I've been calling the Waltons and I guess my measly, minute amount of shareholding that I have, they're not getting my calls back.
Starting point is 00:38:42 I bought more stock, another share. I bought more stock. It was a whole other share. But I bought more stock. They're not taking your call. They're not taking my calls. They must not realize that you're a part of the Chew and the Fat team.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Exactly. That's unacceptable. By the way, aren't they here in Fort Worth? Isn't one of the sisters here? Yeah, one of them lives around here. Let's go. Let's go. One of them lives around here.
Starting point is 00:39:07 And one of them lives in, one of them lives in Columbia, Missouri. And I'll tell you what, if you want to know where a Walton lives, when you find a Walmart that looks like it was just shot a commercial in, a Walton lives close by. When you looked at the Walmart and it looks like it was created by the gods itself, there's pillars. Yes, there's a pillar of marble. The first weekend, my son went to the University of Missouri. The guy says, yeah, there's a Walmart just around the corner. So we go to this Walmart.
Starting point is 00:39:39 I'm telling you, you could eat off the floors of that. freaking Walmart. Oh yeah, it has the marble pillars. It has the statues of the Walton family. And I'm thinking, holy cow, this is Columbia, Missouri. That's because, yeah, Walton lives close by. That's incredible. So anyway, get somebody on the phone.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Yeah, yeah. But in other news of, because I did get this alert from my shareholders, my fellow shareholders. Walmart did outperform during the pandemic. They outsold... Well, the only thing open, I hope so. They outsold Amazon in online groceries. They...
Starting point is 00:40:27 Amazon, Amazon, that's a hard sell for Amazon, the grocery delivery stuff. It is. Especially since they partner with the most expensive grocery store out there. Yeah. They also do a 90% 97% jump in e-commerce sales for Walmart. Well, I mean, I think everyone did, right?
Starting point is 00:40:49 Any company that was a strong, a strong online presence that had a great website performed well in the last quarter. My gosh. Don't bog me down. Don't bog me down. Oh, that's great of you. You did such a great job, IT department. The world was locked down.
Starting point is 00:41:10 buying things online. You're lucky that they did that instead of going to your stores. And plus, I'd like to see if they actually are counting online sales as if I order and go pick it up. Yeah, that is an online sale. So that's really, I mean, that, they were the only place open for Christ's sake. Sorry, there was a swear word. Probably shouldn't do that. I also, if you follow me on Twitter at Jeffrey JFR, you know, I tweeted a video yesterday of Kim Klesick from
Starting point is 00:41:40 Baltimore and her video talking about the Democratic hellhole, as Pat Gray calls it, Baltimore. And she is running for Congress. Today is just a political day on Chewy the Fat. I'm sorry. But she, I had to talk to her. So she's coming up on the podcast. I wanted to talk to her. She has a great message.
Starting point is 00:42:02 And I want to find out, you know, more from Kim Klesig. So that's coming up on the podcast. So another reason to subscribe to Chewing the Fat. Just saying. Download and subscribe to more content at the blaze.com slash podcasts. So yesterday, I saw a video from a congressional race in Baltimore, Maryland, from a Kim Klesick. And I thought, holy cow, why is this person not on the front page of every magazine and every website in America? and I see after watching the two and a half minute video why.
Starting point is 00:42:45 She's a Republican. She is actually saying what many of us have said throughout the years. A friend and co-host on the Blaze Network calls Baltimore from the time he used to live there, the Democratic hellhole. So I wanted to bring Kim Klesick on and just spend a couple minutes with her and see. how she's doing, how the race is going, what's happening, because it's important that people hear your voice. So, Kim, welcome to chewing the fat. How are you? I'm doing good. Thank you for this opportunity.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Absolutely. Now, the general election that you're running in is coming up in November. How is it going? How are you feeling? Yeah. So, first of all, I want to say this is my first interview since we've, dropped our campaign video. So again, thank you. I appreciate it. Yeah. But, you know, we were doing pretty well so far, but now things have gotten even better. I'm excited. I think a lot more people are now paying attention to what's going on in our race. You know, I have to thank all the people that definitely shared our video. This is definitely unexpected for us. We had no idea this was going to happen. But we raised a good amount of money even just overnight. We were happy with
Starting point is 00:44:05 the amount that we raised, you know, even coming up to this point, because thankfully there were some people paying attention and understood that there was a Republican running for this seat. You know, I'm going against Kwaesi and Fume, who had the seat prior to Congressman Cummings. Congressman Cummings passed away. We had a special election and in Fulme being such a big name and having to deal with COVID. We weren't able to get out and knock doors and meet people face to face. So this time around, we're actually out there. We're canvassing four days a week.
Starting point is 00:44:34 We're making all the phone calls. We got volunteers going. And so we think we're going to make a significant day. In the special election, we did a nine-point swing. 42% of our votes in Baltimore City came from Democrats and Independence. You know, we have Baltimore County, Howard County, and Baltimore City in this district. So all together, you've got 500,000 voters. In the city, though, it's 10 to 1.
Starting point is 00:44:56 So you've got 10 Democrats to one Republican. So we have a lot of minds to change. It's a plus 26 Democratic District, but I think we can do it. So in your video, if you haven't had an opportunity to watch it, You can go to my Twitter account or Kimberly's Twitter account or her congressional website, which is Kim K for Congress.com. And watch the video. It shows the inner city of Baltimore that you want to represent.
Starting point is 00:45:27 And it shows what a sad state that it is. What are some of the things that if elected, I should, I'm sorry. when elected, that you can do to turn things around a little bit for these people. Yeah, so we have, in Baltimore City in total, you have to think about this. We have 600,000 people that live there. You know, this is a downward spiral, basically, because there used to be a million in our population. But in the West Baltimore area, we have 17,000 vacant homes. That has been a huge problem.
Starting point is 00:46:03 In the city in total, we have 30,000. But you've got a lot of people that have left the city, their houses are basically just sitting and abandoned. And so I don't know if you noticed we did videos last summer showing the people that were illegally dumping. We had all the trash and the rats and the president. We were so happy when he retweeted it and brought some attention to it. But those problems still exist a year later. You know, we were calling on a lot of Democrat officials to roll up their sleeves and try to figure out, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:30 is there a communication problem with those that are supposed to clear up the trash? You know, what's going on. Right. But nobody's really doing anything. You know, they're always playing politics. So I'm just trying to get in there, number one, bring in career opportunities. We have very little career opportunities. As we saw with the COVID pandemic, we relied on a lot of other countries for our PPE.
Starting point is 00:46:49 You know, we have the second large support in the country in Baltimore City. Why not bring that billion dollar medical equipment industry right back to the United States, right back through Baltimore, and have those career opportunities for the people and the residents in the greater Baltimore area? I think that's a great plan. I think we can do it. I think we can do it successfully and quickly. So to me, career opportunities, I'm all about school choice. Our education system has failed a lot of students.
Starting point is 00:47:14 We have a lot of students that graduate that are unable to read, write, or do basic math. That is a problem. And not everybody goes to college. You know, some people go straight to work. So we need these opportunities. We need more resources. And we need people to do their job. And that's what I plan to do.
Starting point is 00:47:29 You know, I'm not saying that my opponent's a bad guy. I'm just saying, you know. I will. I will. He's a bad guy. I got the energy. I'm ready to work. He's in his 70s. He's already been there. Give new fresh faces a chance to get our hands dirty and get the job done. So we definitely need some fresh blood, no question.
Starting point is 00:47:50 So let's talk a little bit about you, you know, living your American dream. So you're married. You wake up one morning and you're sitting across the breakfast table, sipping a cup of coffee and you say, you know, I think, I think I'm going to run for Congress. How does that conversation go? Yeah. So I have a nonprofit that I've been doing for eight years. We've been doing workforce development. So we've helped over 200 women in Baltimore become gainfully employed. 30% would on to be financially independent. So that's my background. So when we did the videos of the trash last year, it was basically to show the living conditions around the homes in which I was
Starting point is 00:48:30 helping these women, you know, getting back to work and doing more for themselves. So once those videos went viral, a lot of people started saying, hey, Congressman Cummings, what have you been doing all this time? You've been in office for 30 years, you know, and so I said, you know what, I'm not going to just talk to talk. I'm going to walk to walk. Unfortunately, he passed away, and I think to me it was like, okay, so now what do you do? You know, the incumbent is gone, but, you know, it's still a plus 26 Democratic district. You know, I was like, you know, I could just walk away and say, hey, I can't win this, or I could put my big girl pants on and give a shot. So I gave it a shot. So, and he was all for it? He was all, let's do it. I'm behind you,
Starting point is 00:49:12 or did he say, you know, let's slow down a little. Well, he's an accountant. This is not his cup of tea. He's like, wait a minute, what's viral again? So, but he's dealing with it and he's happy. And he knows for a long time, he's met many of the women that I help go back to work. So he's like, I know where your heart is. So just do it. And hopefully, won't get too crazy. And listen, we've seen struggles across America in cities that have been run by Democrats, run by the left for decades. And Baltimore is a prime example of a city that's been run by Democrats for, since what, your district alone has been since 1953? Is that right? So I believe it's 53 years since a Republican has office in this area.
Starting point is 00:50:08 But you have to remember, there was a lot of gerrymandering that went on in 2013. So this district was actually cut up. Part of the western side of the district was that seat was held by Roscoe Bartlett. He was a Republican. Martin O'Malley, our former governor, actually admitted that he redrew the lines to kind of push him out of there. So I think we're going to be district sometime here soon. I'm hoping now that we have Governor Larry Hogan in there. but we'll see what happens
Starting point is 00:50:33 I saw in your video and again referring to it if you haven't seen it find it it's well worth the watch and I'll we'll re-air it here on my YouTube channel the citizens we hear on mainstream
Starting point is 00:50:52 media how we need to cut back on police and we need to defund police and police are bad yet your man on the street videos are showing the exact opposite. Yeah. So this is something that I struggle with all the time. I know being in the inner city, no one wants to defund the police. We have a problem right now in Baltimore City with not enough police on the streets. But unfortunately, we have city council members that are these
Starting point is 00:51:17 progressive left individuals that talk about defending the police and they actually cut $22 million just a month ago. So there's an issue here. It almost seems that politicians are not grasping reality when it comes to what's going on. But you have to remember, a lot of these politicians don't actually live in some of these neighborhoods in which you see that I take my camera through. So they don't understand exactly what people are dealing with. So no one wants to defund the police. In the video, you see a gentleman talk about how he lost three sons to gun violence. Baltimore.
Starting point is 00:51:49 That was just a coincidence that we ran into him. He came over and asked us what we were filming. And, you know, my camera guy was like, hey, you know, we're filming her campaign ad. You know, can I just ask you a question? And that was his answer. And so it was just so organic. And so many people wanted to come over and talk to us. We had to cut a lot of people out because, of course, the video was getting so long.
Starting point is 00:52:11 But there was not one single person that we met that actually wanted to defund the police. How has, and you mentioned the special runoff being affected so much from COVID-19. Now we're actually starting to open things up a little bit. is Baltimore seeing people kind of trying to come back from, you know, the lockdown and trying to get life back to order again? Yeah, absolutely. So our mayor, I think he, you know, he's like I said, it's a very blue city. And so we have a Republican governor right now. And this is, you know, the first time in a while. But the governor, of course, he said, hey, you know, I think we can open up everything. The lockdown is over. But then the mayor to kind of, you know, show that he's still a big man on campus.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Indoor Dining closed, right? So now they're finally opening that back up. He has opened it, shut it down, open it up again. And so there's a lot of people that I think are really upset with the fact that they're playing with so many small businesses. Because, you know, in Baltimore City, their businesses are either, you know, hitting the road or they're just not there. So, you know, they're looking for more support. That's what I want to bring. I want to show everyone that I am pro business.
Starting point is 00:53:21 Just a couple weeks ago, we had a small business summit where we had specialists and experts come in and talk about the stimulus bill, what that means for them, what that means to their employees. And so, you know, that's what I'm about. Just making sure that everybody's going back to work. There's a lot to recover from this lockdown, obviously. But I think we can do it. I mean, despite the lockdown, your district has been darn near in a lockdown for, you know, 50 years. And that's proof in what we've seen in the videos that you're producing. So I know you're busy. I know you're up against the clock, and I usually don't get too political on the show.
Starting point is 00:54:01 But once I saw your video, I had to talk to you. People need to know about you. It's fantastic that you've decided to, you know, make your voice count. Black lives do matter. And all lives do matter. It's so important to get the word out. So if somebody wants to, you know, assist in your campaign financially, how do they do that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:25 You can go to our website, Kim K for Congress.com, and you see many links there. You can use Win Red. You can win to add a dot, PayPal. And then also, we're also looking for volunteers, you know, those that are kind of close by. If you can even just come on a super Saturday, we have people coming from New Jersey next week to just help. To just help knock doors for a couple hours. So there's a section where you can sign up as a volunteer, and we would appreciate the help. And I'm sure that website also has all your social media accounts that people can follow as well.
Starting point is 00:54:53 So, Kim, good luck. Thank you. Thank you so much for spending a couple of minutes with me this morning. I appreciate it. Good luck. Thank you. Thank you for the time. Thanks.
