Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to it, Chewing the Fat, with yours truly Jeff Fisher. Thank you so much for coming along for the ride today. Happy Fat Pile Friday. I just want you to know that you can feel safe. You can feel safer now. Not only have we arrested and we have the college bribery parents under suspicion and they've been arrested and they're out. They know they know that we are after them so they won't try anything horrific anymore.
Starting point is 00:00:25 The biddy. The biddy has been apprehended. Yes? That's correct. You heard me. The Biddy Bandit has been apprehended yesterday. Elizabeth Ainsley, 56, who is believed to be, and I'm sure that she is. The Biddy Bandit. She is charged with three bank robberies and two attempted bank robberies,
Starting point is 00:00:49 which occurred from August to December of last year. So she's been on the hideout since December 18th. Amazing. And the FBI, I love the FBI. She didn't use NO weapons when she robbed these banks or attempted to rob these bangs. She just slid a note to the teller. And, but the FBI still consider her armed and dangerous,
Starting point is 00:01:16 the Biddy Bandit. Now, she would come in, I love her crimes be. She would come in, it started at a Chase Bank. She passes a teller to a note. and then the teller would one teller said oh let me get the manager she takes off she 10 days later came back to the same bank she tried to hit before got an unknown amount of cash another bank they looked at her like what do you what and then she so she ran away so she got some money right she got three banks three attempted robberies or two attempted
Starting point is 00:01:53 robberies and three actual robberies of the bags but sleep well this weekend, my friends, because the Biddy Bandit in Arizona has been apprehended. Welcome to it. So a federal judge citing an unprecedented measles outbreak in New York, Rockland County, New York, has denied a request to let 44 unvaccinated, unvaccinated. children return to school. Amazing. Parents of the students in Green Meadow Waldorf School and Chestnut Ridge, write that on a business card. Green Meadow Waldorf School and Chestnut Ridge have sued
Starting point is 00:02:44 the county's health department. They say none of the schools excluded children have contracted measles amid the county's outbreak, which started last fall. And the judge's decision Tuesday to deny a temporary injunction that would have allowed the children back in classes, has been criticized. Now, of course, on the same day, pediatric organizations express support for state legislation that would allow minors to get vaccinated without parental consent because they want to be able to do to your children whatever they want to do, whether you want to do it or not, which is BS.
Starting point is 00:03:18 But hey, what do I know? How about your homeschool? Or, I don't know, leave New York. There's an idea. Do you look? I'm not talking, and I'm not really talking about the, I don't want to get into the argument of the, you know, vaccinations and do you believe in vaccinations or you don't believe in vaccinations?
Starting point is 00:03:38 And, you know, the anti-vax people and let's have an anti-vax war. Okay, we can have that fight as a whole other fight. The fight I want to have is I should be able to do to my kids what I want to do to my kids. Whatever the hell it is. I want them to work out in the field They should be able to work out in the field I want them to stay home and dust the furniture They should be able to stay home and dust the furniture
Starting point is 00:04:03 They're my children Not the States Okay That's all I'm saying So I'm saying So you ever get Like you feel like you eat at the same place Over and over and over again
Starting point is 00:04:24 Because you just like it You go to the same place and you think, I'm just going to go there and get food. Well, apparently this couple in Wichita has eaten at the same restaurant six nights a week for 15 years. I mean, let's do it some distance at this restaurant. He doesn't want to cook,
Starting point is 00:04:49 doesn't want his wife to have to cook. So nearly every day for the past 15 years, the couple slid into table 412 at the West Side Texas Road. Roadhouse Restaurant for their only meal of the day. Wait, I want to see their picture. Hold on. Let's see their picture of, of, here we go. Ron and Diana Watson have been eating at Westline taste.
Starting point is 00:05:13 They might be more than one meal a day. Might be, on Saturday they go to Hog Wild. I mean, I wouldn't mind doing that, actually. But I don't know that I could find a restaurant that I'd like to go to every day. Right? Every day. Shashak.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I would just like someone to go to Shake Shack once. That's all. That's all it is. It takes one and then you just keep going and going and going. I'm okay with Shake Shack every day. I don't know that my heart
Starting point is 00:05:50 or my body is, but I am. And they just opened a new Shake Shack close to here, which is why he's giving me a teasing me about Shakeshack because I got hooked on Shake Shack in Manhattan. And Saturdays was some of my favorite days because they always had a huge line at shake-shack.
Starting point is 00:06:07 So the summer that I lived in Weehawken in New Jersey, I used to just, you know, hop into the city on Saturdays. And, you know, we didn't have a show to do. So I'd hop into the city and, you know, walk around Manhattan and hang out. But the line was pretty short if you get there early. So it was Shakeshack Saturday, baby. And you just get your Shag-Shack order. Then you walk to the studios.
Starting point is 00:06:30 It was a block away from our studios. And you just enjoy that Shag Shag Shack. So nice. And in those days, Glenn, that was a summer, Glenn would email, but what are you doing? Let's go watch a movie. Because Tanya was here in Texas. My wife was in Florida, and he and I are, you know, in the city doing nothing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Let's go see some movies. Love it. But I didn't eat at the same place all the time. That's almost like eating the same thing, right? Like your kids get, your kids at some point, if you have children, they get hooked on certain foods. and so you feed them that food until they get sick of it. Like for a month it's macaroni and cheese and then it's waffles and then it's whatever else it is and then it's chicken noodle soup
Starting point is 00:07:13 and then it's whatever it is. They get hooked on and that's all they want. They're not going to eat anything else. They're just going to eat that. Okay. Here you go. I'll make you your 80th box of macaroni and cheese in a row. Here you go.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Eat your food. And then pretty soon at one night you make the box of macaroni and cheese and they're like, no. I'm finally sick of macaroni and cheese. I'm not going to have that anymore. You know what I'd like? Ravioli. And you're stuck at Ravioli for 30 days.
Starting point is 00:07:44 And I know, don't look at me like that. Like, you have my kids. My kids eat what I tell them and that's all. They sit down. Those days are long gone. Those days of it's dinner time, sit down and you're eating with us. And this is what you're eating. and if you don't like it, starve.
Starting point is 00:08:03 I don't know what happened to those days, but they're gone. All right, remember to subscribe to chewing the fat. Even though it's Fat Pile Friday, I've got to remind you this, because, you know, I need your subscriptions. The world revolves around your subscription. So because it revolves around your subscription, please subscribe to chewing the fat. Now, you can rate and review and share and do all that stuff,
Starting point is 00:08:38 and I really appreciate all that. And, you know, the iTunes rate and review. system helps other people find the podcast, which is why I give you the easy 20 stars, best podcast ever. I know you can't rank it 20 stars. I know, I get it. It's part of the deal. But you just say 20 stars, best podcast ever.
Starting point is 00:09:00 And it helps other people find the podcast. But most importantly, and you can share it. So you, you know, you hit click share and it goes to your email and then you type in the letter A, B, C, one of the alphabet. and the first name that pops up into the address bar, you click that and say, hey, think of you and send them a copy of the podcast. That's fine.
Starting point is 00:09:20 But most importantly, is your subscription. That's what I care about. I don't care about all the other stuff. So I just want you to subscribe to chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. And then I want you to remember during the day that if you're talking about something that we talked about on chewing the fat, you say it. You know, I was listening to Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher,
Starting point is 00:09:39 and he was talking about this. And whether you agree or disagree is fine. But tease it with your friends. So they go, ooh, join the fat with Jeff Fisher. Yeah, I subscribe. And so every day when the show gets uploaded, I get a poop, and I know that the show is there, and I know that I can listen. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:09:55 And where can you listen? You can listen anywhere, free podcasts are sold. Give me a couple. I just said one, iTunes. And? SoundCloud? Uh-huh. I hurt.
Starting point is 00:10:11 Mm-hmm. Stitcher? Mm-hmm. Spotify? Mm-hmm. I mean, how long you want me to go? How long you want me to go? One more.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Off the top of my head, Google Play Music. Okay, thank you for saying Google Play. It is Google Play Music, though, right? I just receive an email from Google Play Music. They're no longer our Google Play Music. It's called Google Podcast. So for those you're out there...
Starting point is 00:10:42 Interesting. For those of you out there saying, Oh, my God, you're my Google. Play is no longer there. All podcasts will not be hosted inside Google Podcasts. Oh, nice. Well, it's about time for that, actually. So we have a new edition.
Starting point is 00:10:57 Excellent. Taking away Google Play, adding Google Podcasts. Google Podcasts. That's actually, that's a smart move on them. They should have done that a while ago. I don't know why they didn't. I guess they were busy. Because they didn't listen to Chew and the Fat with Jeff Fisher on Google Podcast.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Thank you. Just some headlines on Fat Pile Friday. And I mean, you know, I might go a little bit. the story, but you know how headlines are. The stories, just stick with the headline and then you're good. Because when you start reading the story, you either get turned off or turned on or you're bummed out or the headline isn't what you thought it meant. So it's just the headline.
Starting point is 00:11:31 Like that cancer headline. Yeah. That cancer headline, I would never forget. Yeah. And it's all, you can't, you can't dive in. You just can't. But this headline, woman suffers stroke after oral sex orgasm causes brain bleed. Oh.
Starting point is 00:11:45 You don't want to dive into. that. But I want to know how... No, we don't want to dive into that. Just know that she suffered a stroke after oral sex orgasm causes brain bleed. That's it. It was her. It was just a problem with her. Can we know the guy's name? Nope. Just a headline. Florida woman
Starting point is 00:11:59 charged shooting boyfriend with a shotgun over loud snoring. You don't want to dive into that one. You don't want to do it. Just know that it was horrible. It was just horrific. You don't want to dive in. A sleep nap. It was using a sleep mask. The mouse piece. Which one of the Cepat machine?
Starting point is 00:12:15 Yeah, I wonder what's he using that? Do you forget to turn it on? It's very possible. Yeah, it's very possible he did. Yeah. If you don't want to get shot by your girlfriend while you sleep, please use Jeff Fisher's sleep nap. Brittany Spears' fairy tale musical is coming to Chicago this year.
Starting point is 00:12:33 I don't want to read any more than that headline. Next. I don't want to read anymore. Is this someone in Vegas? So she's taking into Chicago? This is, uh, you know, now. I'm not doing it. I just want to know if it's the same one.
Starting point is 00:12:48 I don't care what you want to know. No. I almost got you. You were about to read it too. I saw you like, oh, wait a minute. No. What is he doing? Gosh, I wish that camera captured that.
Starting point is 00:13:02 You were so close. All right, next. New Zealand using barking drones to herd sheep. How about that? I'm sorry. I need more definitely more than that. That's the headline. New Zealand using barking drones to herd sheep.
Starting point is 00:13:22 There's a drone that is barking and it's hurting the sheep. Yeah. However, if you, I won't, I'm not going to, this is like a subheadline. Sub headline, okay, okay. Dogs are still best when it's wet. Apparently the drones can't fly when it's wet. Because the dogs can come up and nip the back of a couple of them and get them going, you know. The drone hits and they crash.
Starting point is 00:13:44 A little barking drones. That's a good, bad name, actually. The leader of... Okay, Keith. First of all. First of all. No, we're doing something else. I'll stay away from that.
Starting point is 00:13:59 That's fine. Yeah, that's fine. Congratulations to Alaska native Pete Kaiser wins the Iditarod sled dog race. Congratulations. I don't even want to know about the race. I just know the headline. Congratulations. Did you want?
Starting point is 00:14:13 We did. Oh, no. Jeff. But there was a guy leading the Iditarod dog race. Uh-huh. This is another headline. The leader of the Iditarod lost a big lead after yelling at his dogs. Don't they all yell at the dogs?
Starting point is 00:14:28 Hush! Hush! So this Frenchman, this is still part of this is like a subheadline. It's just a subheadline? The Frenchman refused to, his dogs refused to keep going after he was yelling at him. Now, in a side story, another headline, I diderite dogs found dead. I say smush. Smush!
Starting point is 00:14:52 Smush! I said smush! Smush! What happened to your dogs? They decided they weren't going to run anymore. How many dogs is it like eight? That's the only reason we have you here! Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:06 That's something like six to eight. I think it's six to eight, yeah. Yeah. The only, that's what, that's their jobs. You yell and don't you have like a stick? And they go. They have like a stick and a whip to hit them? Right.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Well, I don't know if they do that anymore in today's world, but just the other thing they did forever, yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's now, come on, let's go. Hurry up, doggies. No, I don't think. Come on, babies, let's go. We got this idea of Rod Race. How long is the, look, look, how long is the idea of Roder Race?
Starting point is 00:15:30 I thought we were not doing this. See, I almost got you, but you can't get me because I'm that lazy. How long is the idea of Rod Race? We have to know this. It's 18? 18. Really? Really?
Starting point is 00:15:45 It's 18? Huh. I just knew that. Boom. I never heard that before. It's 18. Weird. Huh.
Starting point is 00:15:53 All right. All right, is the stupid giraffe had the baby yet? Nope. So the giraffe is just kind of stumbling around, eating and eating and eating and eating and waiting to drop the new baby. You got to remember, this is the same giraffe. I'm not going to call her something like that. That had like how many people was?
Starting point is 00:16:24 It was 2200 and 32 million people watching her. Yeah. I mean, the last. She had to give birth. The last time that she gave birth, she gave birth on a Saturday because I was doing a Saturday radio show. And the coolest thing is... I remember them having the baby.
Starting point is 00:16:40 When Toys R Us was a Toys R Us, they got in on it and they sponsored that stream. They still should. I mean, there still are Toys R Us. They still kept the name and they're still Toys R Us. And they kept the stupid giraffe name, too. No, the brick and mortar stores are. Yeah, so... Still have the website.
Starting point is 00:16:55 They still have the stuff going on in Kroger stores. They'll look at me like that. We did the story. They're setting up huge toy aisles with Kroger's and other grocery stores around America. I'll be fun. So they still could sponsor it. Oh, oh, gee, Jeff, you're right. Oh, oh, oh, gee, Jeff, you're right.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Oh, oh, gee, Jeffrey, you're right. So right now it's got 50 or 60,000 people watching the live stream. Amazing. Just to watch a giraffe have a baby. No. No, I know. The last time I had the live stream up last time. I was one of the millions of people or whatever because it was the Saturday.
Starting point is 00:17:31 And I thought for sure it was going to happen. And so did they. And it did. So it was fascinating to see it happen. but let's just have the kid. These zoos, man, how much money they need. We promote them all the time. We promote all kinds of zoo things.
Starting point is 00:17:43 Zoos are like, they're fighting each other for people to stream their stuff and come to their zoos. I mean, it's turning into a, it's turning into a zoo world out there, man. We've got to get involved with that. There's got to be something we can do with that. Like Zoo Wars or something. That's a million-dollar idea right there. Blaze TV Network, Zoo Wars. have the zoos show up
Starting point is 00:18:07 and bring their toughest animals? This is the jaguar that attacked the woman for taking a selfie. This is the rhino that attacked the girl after she squeezed through the bars. They're going to be in the same...
Starting point is 00:18:22 If you go to April the giraffe alert.com, you'll get a text alert when she is on serious. Heads out, heads out, boom! Yeah, get there. Serious. Get there. See, this is what I wanted to do
Starting point is 00:18:36 with suicides. Yeah. Oh, yeah, you did, but we're not going to talk about that. So if you go to April the giraffe alert.com, you'll be notified by text alert when we can confirm active labor. Not just labor,
Starting point is 00:18:50 active labor. Yeah, the kid's almost here. Yeah. So I'm putting, Jeffrey, your phone number. How about no? 727 B-E-C-K. And by the way, I said that name, that number, but I was actually typing Jeffey's number.
Starting point is 00:19:11 So is this is your number? 888727. Press OK. Yeah, get to continue. All right. There we go. You're, I mean, we're logged it. Whoa, it took me to a PayPal.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Hold on. It took me to a PayPal account. See? What is going on here? Whoa, they won $5? What? Jeff Fisher. they want $5 for this.
Starting point is 00:19:38 You got to be kidding me. What? They won $5 for them to tell me that it's crowning. That's a scam. I'm telling you we need to do Zoo Wars. After this $5 for $5 for an alert? For an alert. That's all.
Starting point is 00:20:01 And money goes to the zoo. Yeah. Does it? Does it? Does it? Yeah. No, it does that. Everybody gets a cut out of that.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Yeah. Those five bucks are feeding like the staff. Yeah. You know, maybe we might buy, you know, one bail a straw for some animal somewhere. That's about it. So, so right now, I'm looking to feed, and I did not pay the five bucks to let you know. You have 45,000 people watching. You can look at the feed, that the feed for free.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Yeah. But the alert they're charging you for. amazing that should shut up your animal zoo on the top right oh boy you're hating the zoo man
Starting point is 00:20:45 so stupid on the top right it has a copyright little circle and it has of course the name of the park and at the bottom says not for recorded reuse
Starting point is 00:20:54 or streaming without consent shut up oh come on shut up it's called the internet when it goes viral and everybody it's called the internet
Starting point is 00:21:03 thousands of people are posting pictures of your baby You're welcome. Promoting your zoo. Yes. You'll be happy. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:10 Whether it's, you can't use it. Shut up. Don't tell me. Oh, that was so stupid. Oh, we need zoo wars. We did. We need zoo wars.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Yes. I want zoo wars. Now, we can talk about specifics like it's going to be the same animal against the same animals, but we need zoo wars. You know, like the Titan games, just zoo games. I like that, actually. Oh, hold on. We have some rules in order for you to participate on this YouTube stream.
Starting point is 00:21:36 There's some rules. Shut up. No. Be kind. All users are expected to be welcoming, understanding, and patient. Be respectful. Understand the boundaries between CAM, organizational operation, and personal lives of all involved. Be involved.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Help educate with the wealth of knowledge this CAM and PARC has brought to you. Giraff Fax, Conservation Initiatives, even general questions. general questions. Moderators. This is to be a giraffe-centric community focus on animal adventure park and our giraffes.
Starting point is 00:22:14 The moderators are in place to keep this space in its community within the requirements noted above. My five bucks are going for the super moderators. That's nice.
Starting point is 00:22:25 That's nice. Are we paying somebody to moderate somebody watching a feed? Okay. You better be watching with a smile on your face thinking warm thoughts about giraffes.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Okay, thanks. Where is this stupid zoo? I don't know. This is New York. Yeah, the Animal Adventure Park. Of course it is. That's why they want five bucks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:47 That's why they want five bucks. Because what's the mayor called? Bulagio? Yeah, one of those too. He's like, no food for kids and five bucks. It's no food for kids Monday. Yeah. No food for kids Monday.
Starting point is 00:23:04 And $5 to get an alert that is crowning. April is crowning. I'm highly upset. I was really wanted to put a stupid fun number on this thing. And now I can't because I really do not want to pay the five bucks. Joining me on Chewing the Fat, a doctor that's going to tell you the all new. We're all looking for that magical cure. A cure that's going to make us feel better, look better, act better,
Starting point is 00:23:43 and just an overall better person. And according to this, and according to Dr. Rachna Patel, CBD oil is the solution. Thus, the title of her book, The CBD Oil Solution. Doc, welcome to chewing the fat. How are you? Good. Thank you for having me.
Starting point is 00:24:04 Absolutely. So is it the miracle cure for everything under the sun? It works great for certain conditions, than pharmaceutical medications is what I would tell you. And those conditions include things like migraines and headaches, muscle pain, nerve pain, anxiety, insomnia. So what is it, you know, let's talk a little bit about what actual, what actually is CBD.
Starting point is 00:24:33 And, you know, how is it different from, you know, smoking a joint? Sure. So basically, CBD comes from the, cannabis family of plants, and it can come from either marijuana or it can come from hemp. And the main difference between hemp and marijuana is in the amount of THC that's made. Okay, so by law, hemp should have less than 0.3% THC, and by default, marijuana then has more than 0.3% THC. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:07 So it can come from both places. More commonly, it comes from hemp. and really that's due to legal reasons because the less than 0.3% T.HC makes it more accessible. And so certain conditions benefit from high amounts of CBD, other conditions benefit from high amounts of TAC, and then there's other conditions that benefit from both. So I would say that's CB oil in a nutshell.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Okay, so do I bathe in it? Do I shower in it? do I soak in it how do I how do I adjust the CBD oil what am I doing with it a numerous different ways to use it right so you can ingest it
Starting point is 00:25:53 there are drops that you can put under the tongue that you can inhale it we're not talking about smoking we're talking about vaporizing then there's also topical there are also even rectal and vaginal formulation oh easy doc easy
Starting point is 00:26:10 yeah There comes in a variety of different delivery methods. I mean, you may have just sold me on the product. No, I'm just... So can I get that? Okay, so you're... Now, if I came to you and I said, hey, I've got, you know, I've got...
Starting point is 00:26:28 No, I won't use that. I won't use that analogy. Let's say, I come to you and I say, oh, I've got these aches and pains. What are you going to do for me? So, I mean, it depends on what type of aches and pains they are, right? So if you just have, like, a calf muscle, that hurts, then you can just use a CBD topical.
Starting point is 00:26:45 But if you're someone who, for instance, has multiple sclerosis and you have like spasticity throughout your body, then you're going to really want to take it internally. Okay. You know, so it depends on the condition. I've even had patients where, you know, they've had gastric bypass surgeries. And because of that, they can't absorb edibles as well. So they've had to turn to other delivery methods like, you know, inhalation or using drops under the tongue. So that's going to depends on what's going on with your body.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Okay. And I get that. Everybody's a little bit different. So we have this book, the CBD oil solution. And as I'm, as I'm perusing through it, I see all the different recipes and the mixes that we can use for it, which some of it sounds actually amazing. But as I was going through the fact pages, I'd like to do a quick lightning round with you. Just a quick lightning round of CBD oil and the facts about CBD. You ready? Okay. Okay. Sorry. Let's do it. Can I take CBD with other medications? You can, and you want to be cautious, especially if you're using a medication that causes what's called hepatoc cellular injury, like for instance, about prolic acid. That has to be monitored closely. Does CBD oil have side effects? Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. If you're taking too much,
Starting point is 00:28:05 Okay. So if you take too much, it can cause things like tiredness, diarrhea, changes in appetite, and weight. So when we reached that point, well, I've stopped the lightning around here for a moment. So when we reach that point, I mean, is that just a test, trial, and error, or is it pretty much common knowledge what the dose is that keeps everybody on an even keel? It's mainly, there is trial and error involved. I mean, there's a methodology to it. And, you know, any experienced physician will be able to walk you through it. But if you're DIYing it, then it's a trial and error. You could reach that point on accident. All right, back to the lightning round.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Will I fail a drug test if I take the CBD product? Potentially, yes. Oh, but really? Is CBD addictive? No. Can I bring a CBD product on a plane? It depends on where you're traveling from and too. Can my, that's, that's pretty much true with anything.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Can my pet use CBD products? Yes, they can. But they just don't give them the drug test, right? Yeah. All right, so, and then I'm going, I'm going out of the book now, and I'm coming back to just my own personal lightning round. So what's legal and what isn't? I mean, we've had so much, I mean, the, the, the, I realize that it's not marijuana,
Starting point is 00:29:32 but it is. And so where's the line? Yeah, so the 2018 Farm Bill made the cultivation of hemp legal throughout the United States. Now, what wasn't addressed was CBD, okay? And it was addressed, but basically they put it in the hands of the FDA. And the FDA turned to the DEA, and basically there was this drug called the epidula, which is a pharmaceutical version of CBD, named by the phytale. pharmaceutical company, GW. Pharma in combination with Bayer.
Starting point is 00:30:10 And once that medication came out, the FDA, you know, they ran trials, the FDA approved it. Then the FDA went to DEA and said, hey, look, you have 90 days to reclassify CBD. So what the DEA decided was, okay, well, only at the DOAC that's, so basically any drug that FDA approved that has CBD is going to be class five, but any drug that's not FDA approved with CBD is going to be classified. one, which makes no sense because it's the same chemical. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:41 So you have one chemical listed in two different classifications. So that's essentially how it is. The FDA does know. We're really right back to I'm being confused again. Yeah. And that's exactly how it is. Amazing. So the FDA does know that there are all these people making CBD oils.
Starting point is 00:31:04 And they have issued warning letters. but mainly to people who are making claims for things like, oh, you know, it's going to cure your cancer, just making sort of claims that are not justified at this point in time. So that's essentially what's going on. So if I'm hawking my wares under a tent saying I'm the cure-all for everything, I'm going down, but if I'm saying that, you know, it might help you, you're okay. Yeah, I think I don't even want anybody. saying, yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:31:39 You got it. I got lazy in to the other sentence. Wow. So what's being done for that? I mean, look, we can sit here and talk about your book, the CBD oil solution all day, but really what's being done to solve that problem? I hope you're on board with some people fighting that.
Starting point is 00:31:59 Yeah, there's a lot of research going on around the world on CBD and on T. as well. And that's definitely helping the cause. You know, there's also a lot of research being done in Colorado, like in states where marijuana is legal for our international use, because you can still study the CBD in marijuana there. So more and more, we're getting more and more information, both within the United States and around the world. So there are things being done, but really it's being done in reverse, right? This isn't like, oh, hey, we have a medication. It might work for this. let's do some research and then people will use it. It's like people are using it.
Starting point is 00:32:38 It's working for this. Hey, let's do some research on it. Wow. That's essentially what's going on, right? Yeah. So where, I mean, are you, do you see an end line or is it still too far away? You know, it might be in the future, but look, here's the thing. I've been doing this since now, 2012.
Starting point is 00:33:02 And the only thing I've seen is progress. You know, there might be, you know, a couple steps back at, like, the state level or the local level. I know recently I heard that in Tarrant County, Texas, the local police was sort of reining on the parade of, you know, people who had CBD oil in their possession. That's correct. So, you know, at a federal level, we made huge progress in legalizing. the cultivation of hemp at, you know, in all 50 states. That is huge. So I always see forward progress.
Starting point is 00:33:40 We might hit a couple of roadblocks here and there. But, you know, if everybody is sort of joining in on it, you have no choice. Well, that's what it feels. I mean, I feel like we've, I feel like that battle is already, is already won. I just feel like we're at a point where, uh, you have in particular counties, like you mentioned Tarrant County, um, a, particular county that or or or municipalities local municipality that says it's still illegal and i'm going to be a dick about it and arrest people for it uh instead of uh you know instead of fighting waiting for
Starting point is 00:34:16 instead of realizing that look um we know that it's illegal but it's not bad let's move on so i mean that's yeah and then the other thing is that there's 10 states that don't allow for the cultivation of hemp even though at the federal level it's legal so i think those you know it's just 10 out of 50. So those states will eventually have to sort of go in on it. Otherwise, they're going to get left behind. You know, there's a lot of tax money that's being made in a lot of these states that's being put to good use. I hope that's true. I mean, I know that we always, we always say that there's big time tax money that can be put to use, but I still see my taxes going up. And I don't see, I don't see, I don't see hemp helping that. I wish it would.
Starting point is 00:35:02 Dr. Patel, author of the CBD Oil Solution, thank you for your time on chewing the fat. I appreciate it. Yeah. Hey, Dr. Patel, I do have a question for you. Oh, okay. So, hey, hold on, Doc. Yeah, yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:35:16 That kind of scares me of the testing positive. Yeah. So what happens? So, for example, our company, you know, is a drug-free zone and they test us. Wait, it is? Oh, yeah, it is, Jeffrey. So what happens if I start doing, you know, some CBD oils,
Starting point is 00:35:32 and I get a, hey, Chris, it's something peeing a cup, and I test positive. What are jobs doing for that? So would it come back and said, you're taking CBD oils or you just... Or you just... Or you just... Or you just... ...you pest deposit for T.H.C. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Yeah. Okay. So this is going to depend on your state. Okay. So some states that have legalized marijuana for medical use, they have built-in protections. Like, for instance, New Jersey, it's... So it's a... basically the proof of burden falls on the employer that the use of either marijuana or
Starting point is 00:36:07 CBD oil is actually interfering with the employee's performance. Okay. However, in other states, such as California, that legalized the medical use of marijuana way back in 1996, they have no built-in protection. So essentially, you have to abide by the policies of your employer. So it's state by state and it's company by company. Let's use for an example. Let's say, you know, just out of the top of my head, let's pick a state that I'm thinking of off the top of my head.
Starting point is 00:36:35 I don't know. Texas. What are we doing? What's happening in Texas? In Texas, okay, so technically for CBD, you need to have a prescription from a doctor. Okay. People are still using it without a prescription. And a lot of it, you know, depending on local law enforcement.
Starting point is 00:36:54 I mean, how are they going to enforce that really at a practical level? People using CBD without having a prescription. But that's the technicality of it. That's what the law said. And is that any doctors prescribed this? So if I go to my dermatologist or do I go to my dentist? My optometrist. What doctor do I go to to get a prescription for this?
Starting point is 00:37:19 Typically it has to be a licensed physician. And in the state of Texas, it's for a certain set of conditions as well. So it's not just for that glaucoma people. What are the conditions? Like one condition that, just give me one condition I would have to have. Epilip. I've got it. No, I do not have that.
Starting point is 00:37:40 You do not have that. You do not have that. Jeff, he's stopping. So what about a veteran that has PTSD and anxiety? Well, because that's what I have. I actually have PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Would this help? So it does help.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Yeah, definitely help. I've treated patients who've had PTSD and anxiety. anxiety, but from a, and it's typically the CBD that helps when it comes to anxiety. T.S.C. is going to make it worse. Right. Oh, really? Really? Why is that? Yeah. Yeah, because it, so a lot of it has to do with serotonin and dopamine. But essentially what happens is, you know, for people who've used marijuana in high school and college, what they're typically using is a high TAC product.
Starting point is 00:38:27 And it makes anxiety worse. It causes paranoia. So, so, you know, or it can make your, you can make you more anxious. Right, because the levels are higher, right? You're not, you're dosing your, so you're overdosing yourself. Yes, that's one thing. And the other thing is, is that THC impacts dopamine levels where CBD impacts serotonin levels. And with anxiety, what you really want is, is help with serotonin.
Starting point is 00:38:51 Right. So, so that's what's going on from a scientific standpoint. But, yeah, essentially when, you know, back to the drug testing, here's what's going on. Essentially, typically it's a breakdown product of THC that's tested for. Now, with marijuana products, obviously, you know, if there's more than 0.3% THC, greater likelihood of THC than being detected. If it's a hemp-based product, less of a likelihood of it being detected, but because it's less than 0.3%. And there is still a chance, less of a chance. And what I want to touch on, though, are pure CBD oils and isolate CBD oils.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Okay, so essentially these oils, you know, they're making the claim have no T8. see in them. But the way they're made, you want to be careful because they use a series of chemical processes and the chemicals that they're using are things like pentane and hexane. I hate those. Make glue. Right. Exactly. I hate those. Hexene, man. I am so against hexine. You have no idea. You've done a campaign against that. Yeah. Oh, man. I have. And last question. Last question from me, doctor. Our audience is very conservative. you know, they see this, all they see is, oh my gosh, I'm going to smoke weed.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Yeah, I'm a pothead. And my pot head. What would you say to those people that, you know, are going through? No, no, no. Yeah. So I, you know, I've been doing this. Okay. So in California, I've treated professionals who've struggled with anxiety.
Starting point is 00:40:19 Listen, at the end of the day, if you're using this medication and moderation, you're not going to have any side effects from it. It's only if you go nutty. like you did back in high school or college and you use the wrong combination of chemicals is when you're going to get, you know, the paranoia and your heart races. And sometimes you're in a fetal position on the floor because, you know, that's when you really took too much. I paid for that years ago. Right.
Starting point is 00:40:45 Exactly. So if you take it like a medication in moderation, it should cause no side effects and it should only cause the benefit. I love it. Dr. Patel, thank you very much. the book is the CBD oil solution and I appreciate your time Doc It's fascinating, thank you Yeah, thank you
Starting point is 00:41:05 This is fun All right, before we leave on Fat Pop Friday I just want you to know We've had an issue at my house I want to give you a little behind the scenes We have an issue at my house with the It's like we never get behind the scenes From Jeffey's Fisher's household
Starting point is 00:41:25 Well I mean I talk about stuff I mean we talk about stuff all the time I know that's what I'm saying go ahead but this is the sink faucet in the kitchen just broke, you know, and it's messed up. It still worked, but it broke. So we bought it, we bought a new, and I bought a new faucet that we kind of liked,
Starting point is 00:41:41 and I say we, by what my wife liked. Yeah, she liked. And I had a guy, install it. Gonna come over and install it. And then we kept, we rescheduled one time, and then he kept rescheduling. And so when I left this morning,
Starting point is 00:41:56 the faucet was completely broken, and, you know, more than it was. And so I always go in and say goodbye when I leave the house. Oh, my baby. Okay, love, only two. Is it a kiss in the forehead or a kiss? Whatever, whatever, whatever sticking out from underneath the sheets, you know. And then, so as, and today it was like, you know, whatever was sticking out front of the sheets.
Starting point is 00:42:24 And then it was, you can do something with that faucet. get a hold of a home boy. Let's get this thing fixed. All right. I'm out. And I just got a text with the picture of the new faucet. And she did it herself. I love America.
Starting point is 00:42:44 I love America. How do you love America? Because women are, that's, let's leave it at that. She likes doing that stuff. Good for her. I love her for that. Can she come away fix my tub?
Starting point is 00:42:56 Because I do not. Can she fix my tub? I don't, you know, she loves putting all that stuff together. all, you know, we get cabinets and we get all kinds of stuff she loves putting all, go, it's all yours, baby. It's all yours. And I told you about, and she just, we found out
Starting point is 00:43:10 the cable box. We've got like, it was reported stolen. Yeah, well, no, no. This is, it was reported lost or, lost or stolen. Okay. Yeah, there's no, there's no such thing as a Fisher House something lost. It was lost or stolen.
Starting point is 00:43:26 That's what it was reported. Okay. That's what they had. Yes, yes, because they probably do not have just stolen because nothing in the Jeffie household it is lost. I was there. So apparently, apparently if you just take a box from the truck when the guy's there and you plug it in, it works good for a while until they finally put loss and they do a search of
Starting point is 00:43:50 everybody's house ever so often. They go, ooh, hey. Two boxes. That's not, that box wasn't supposed to be there. I really don't know how it happened to be honest, but that's how the guy. had to have put it in one of the times that they were there and they just didn't register it, right? So then, you know, so it works. How much it cost you?
Starting point is 00:44:12 Have good weekend.
