Blaze Radio Network And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. Campbell's Soups. You know them, you love them. Well, Campbell's has just announced a limited edition, grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Starting point is 00:00:48 All. Now, we all love tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich, but now we can get a can of tomato soup and grilled cheese together. Yum. Yum. The combination of traditional condensed Campbell's tomato soup,
Starting point is 00:01:10 cream, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack, and a surface ripened semi-soft cheese like a monster is going to hit the shelves soon. It may already be on some shelves. It's a limited edition, Campbell's soup.
Starting point is 00:01:26 You know, would I try it? Yes, do I like tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich? You bet. But I don't know that I'd like the actual Campbell's soup with the grilled cheese flavor. Not sure what it's going to taste like, but it's going to be on the shelves. And man, am I ready for it? How about you? I mean, they have so many soups on the shelves already.
Starting point is 00:01:58 so I mean why not one more why not one more that's what Campbell's soups are good welcome welcome to chewing the fat
Starting point is 00:02:13 I see where more and more cities and states for that matter are now paying people to move there remember a few years ago we talked about the Tulsa Oklahoma plan where Tulsa remote was the first program where it offered remote workers and entrepreneurs $10,000.
Starting point is 00:02:41 The program they claim was very successful with over 2,900 people accepted and $307 million in direct employment income generated as of December 2022. They claim that it's also generated an estimated $2.5 million in new sales tax revenue for Tulsa, county and $3.1 million for the state of Oklahoma. And now we have Topeka, Kansas, a program called Choose Topeka, that offers incentives valued up to $15,000 to attract residents, in addition to offering financial incentives. The program also helps connect new residents with housing and jobs. According to them, very successful program with over 6,000 people.
Starting point is 00:03:33 applying, but only 150 new residents moving to the area and a 95% retention rate. So not all of them stayed. I guess they moved to Topeka and said, wait, what? This is Topeka, Kansas? Yeah, yeah. Okay, I'm not staying here. So they had 6,000 people apply and they only took 150, and not all of those stayed credible. The Shoals, Alabama.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Alabama's northwestern region is offering up to $10,000 to remote workers who relocate to the area through a program called remote shoals. The program which launched in 2019 has received over 2,300 applications from all 50 states. It doesn't say how many actually showed up to qualify applicants must be self-employed or a full-time remote employee. make $52,000 or more annually and relocate to the area within six months. Okay. Rochester, New York. Yes. If you're looking to move to upstate New York, you can apply to the greater ROC remote program.
Starting point is 00:04:51 The program is offering $10,000 in grants and incentives to remote workers who relocate to Rochester, New York. Now, there are states. that are offering incentives. The state of Kentucky actually has eight cities and towns offering generous relocation packages to recruit new workers. Wow. Other states that are offering incentives
Starting point is 00:05:17 West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, and Alaska. So if you're looking to move and you think, man, I don't know where I want to move, you could move to Topeka, Kansas and get incentives, up to $15,000. Or you could move to
Starting point is 00:05:37 one of the eight cities in Kentucky or move to Michigan. And I was born and raised in Michigan. And I don't know that I want to move back, but maybe for, you know, an incentive, what is Michigan giving me? Michigan is calling it the
Starting point is 00:05:53 Michiganer Scholars Program. It offers scholarships and internships for those who complete an internship and or accept a full-time position. in industries including computing, electronics, software development, or process engineering. The program is open to recent graduates and college students.
Starting point is 00:06:14 Okay, so not me. And this year, 350 awards are going to be given ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, but the program is looking to expand. So you can move to Michigan if you are a recent graduate or a college student. student who commits to working for participating companies in the Great Lakes State for at least 12 months. And then, and then you may or may not get $5,000 to $10,000. Huh? That's an incentive program to move to the state of Michigan. So those are just some cities and states that are willing to pay you to move there. So if you're looking to move, good luck. God bless. I did
Starting point is 00:07:03 learned something today that I thought was genius and this is something that anyone can do. So we talked in the past about how the airlines are starting to jack their prices up for your checked luggage. And we find out that Delta announced earlier this week that it's hiking its check bagged fees for the first time since 2018. And they're also cracking down on smaller third carry-on items that boarding agents didn't use to bat an eye at. So they're saying that they're bumping the checked bag fee by $5 to $35 for the first checked bag and $45 for the second. American Airlines made a similar decision at the end of February. They're increasing their cost of checking your first bag in person by $10.
Starting point is 00:07:52 But it cut the fee on slightly overweight bags from $100 to $30. Oh, that's so nice of them. United JetBlue and Alaska Airlines also issued $5. increases to existing bag fees. Southwest, the biggest domestic U.S. carrier by passengers, is the only major airline that still provides flyers with two free check bags, but it's still cracking down on the extra carry-on items. However, I read something as I'm reading this story that I thought,
Starting point is 00:08:26 that is a great genius. I know that Southwest has been making passengers, condense their belongings and, you know, their fanny packs and their shopping bags into two carry-ons. And so, I mean, I've had to do that before where I've flown and at one gate they're fine with your carry-on. And at the other gate, they're saying, you're only allowed one carry-on. So I had to stuff one carry-on into another carry-on to make it one carry-on. Still the same two pieces, but they're just one piece in the eyes of the airline.
Starting point is 00:09:03 So what they're saying in this story, though, and this is something that anyone can do, is that people have started wearing multi-pocket fishing vests where you can fit, you know, they've got all the pockets all over, you can fit your chargers and some clothes, maybe even a laptop or a tablet in your fishing vest pocket. And then that's not really a carry-on. That's something that you're wearing. That is genius. I wish I would have thought of that. You may want to try that the next time you're traveling, you know, on an airline. With Amex Platinum, $400 in annual credits for travel and dining means you not only satisfy your travel bug, but your taste buds too. That's the powerful backing of Amex.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Conditions apply. All right, this story comes from KVTA4.com, the breaking news. their tagline is news you can count on to let you down. So I'm assuming that it's a real story. And if it's a real story, I'd like to know why this is illegal. Okay? So a man named Kurt Fellows, 67, is being held by the Secret Service at an undisclosed location after a shipment containing close to 1,000 previously used sex toys, Dildo.
Starting point is 00:10:44 arrived at the White House on Valentine's Day, addressed to President Biden. The letter attached to the shipment said, Happy Valentine's Day, Sleepy Joe. Since you like to F all of us, why don't you go F yourself? Wait, that's not funny. I don't know what I'm laughing at. So while sending an unsolicited shipment of Dildos to the president is grounds for arrest. It is? Why? And according to the story, not to mention a possible health concern,
Starting point is 00:11:22 the addition of the letter, which for reasons of national security, cannot be fully disclosed to the public at this time. Okay, so he told the president to go F himself, and he sent him a box of dildose. I find that that, I don't know why that's illegal. I mean, I guess you pay the guy a visit, but you arrest him for that? That, which, which, you're, you, you know, which, which, you know, it is grounds for arrest. Why? Why is sending a box of anything to the president that's not, you know, something... Yes, I'm assuming that a box of dildos is not terrible.
Starting point is 00:12:03 So they arrested him. They went to Kurt Fellows Montana Ranch and arrested him. It says here without incident, but that says here once in custody, the self-proclaimed patriot became belligerent and aggressive to the point where he had to be sedated and put into a straight jacket. Letters from friends, family, and acquaintances are already arriving in droves pleading for the release of Kurt Fellows. It's clear his actions met with the support of his peers.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Yeah. He's been collecting these used sex toys from like-minded women in Montana, and they are pleased with the idea that the president received a giant shipment of their sex toys. No official statement from the White House has been released at the time of this writing. So, if this is real, and I'm telling you, I believe that it is. I want to believe that it is. I don't know why sending a box of dildos used or not with the note saying, happy Valentine's Day, you like to F us, why don't you go F yourself, is grounds for a
Starting point is 00:13:13 but it is, it is apparently, and Kurt Fellows is now under arrest for that thing. So if you're thinking to yourself, you know, I'm going to send President Biden a box of used sex toys. Don't do it. Don't do it. I wonder if you sent a box of used sex toys to say President Trump, when he was in office or when he may or may not be in office again, would you be under arrest for that as well? I don't know the answer to that.
Starting point is 00:13:44 You'd have to assume yes, but that, you know what happens when we assume things, right? So you'd be better off just, I don't know, waiting to win the lotto. I see there wasn't a winner on Powerball. They just keep growing. A Powerball drawing is going to be Saturday, the 9th of March. Today, if you're listening live, is the 7th. 521 million jackpot, $249.6 million cash payout. And then tomorrow on the 8th, you have the Megamillions, $600.
Starting point is 00:14:12 $87 million jackpot, $332.3 million cash payout. That does give you enough money to purchase sex toys to send to the White House, but I do not recommend you doing that. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately.
Starting point is 00:14:38 You know, I talked about this this morning, as a matter of fact, on Mojo 5O, on my hit with Brad Stags and Ron Phillips on Mojo 5O, my Thursday morning hit, chewing the fat hit on Mojo 5O. Oscar Meyer is rolling out a plant-based hot dog and sausage this year with the help of a startup backed by Jeff Bezos,
Starting point is 00:15:03 who is the richest man in the world. We found that out yesterday, at least for it today. The Kraft-Hines Company is teaming up with the Not Company, the The Not Company. It's a vegan-centered firm, and they're introducing the, not hot dog and not sausage. So the Kraft Hines believe that people are going to plunk down $5.99 for a package of four plant-based hot dogs and $7.99 for four of the not sausages. Wow.
Starting point is 00:15:35 I don't remember seeing these on the shelves in my grocery stores. I haven't necessarily been looking for them, but I feel like if they were there, I would have seen them. Back in 2022, Kraft Hines and the Not Company introduced a plant-based Philadelphia cream cheese to appeal to the non-dairy-leaning consumers. I don't remember seeing this on the shelves either.
Starting point is 00:16:00 They also came up with a Kraft, not mac and cheese, and an alternative version to mayonnaise, not mayo. And cheese slices, not cheese slices. Incredible. I don't remember. remember seeing these. And it doesn't sound like it would be good, but that's just me. And I thought we were moving on from the plant-based world, by the way, but not so much at Kraft-Hinz. I am the
Starting point is 00:16:25 not company. So they believe that projections showing that sales of plant-based food products are going to rise from $8.3 billion in 2023. We have $8.3 billion of plant-based food products selling today, if you say so, they believe it's going to go to $19 million by 2030. Okay. They say that we know people are hungry for plant-based meat options. Are they? I mean, well, from brands they know and trust.
Starting point is 00:17:00 Oh, right. Maybe that's true. So the Kraft Hines, not company CEO, Lucho Lopez-May, and I love the Kraft Hines, not company CEO, Lucho Lopez May. She said, or he said, they said, it said, Zezem said, said,
Starting point is 00:17:24 we know that people are hungry for those plant-based meat options from brands they know and trust. Good luck convincing consumers to ditch meat for good. I'll tell you that, because I, unless they're forcing us to. It's amazing that the sales, I think, are going down. Nobody wants their product. and yet companies are doubling down on it. Makes you just wonder what's going on just a little bit.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Plus, I will say that calling the hot dog, the not hot dog, does seem a little iffy. I mean, why wouldn't you call it the not dog? I don't know. I don't know. Maybe that's, I guess it's just me. But look for those on your store shelves and, And don't they sound good?
Starting point is 00:18:15 I see where a Panera bread. Man, they are in the news. Almost every day. It's a Panera bread in the news world. We had the Panera bread story where they're changing their menu. They're going to abandon dinner in their largest menu transformation. They're just going to go to lunches, including many items, for less than $10, and they're going to shift away from dinner meals.
Starting point is 00:18:39 And they're trying to get people to, you know, go. to Panera bread. And they also claimed that they had an exemption from California's new $20 an hour minimum wage law. But then I saw a headline that said that they didn't have an exemption. So whether they do or not, I mean, I don't know if they have an exemption from the new $28 an hour minimum wage law in California. But, I mean, it would be sweet if they did.
Starting point is 00:19:05 But they're going to add nine new menu items to enhance the recipes, a 12 existing classics and a new air. era at the company. Well, yeah, it's definitely a new era because the latest news today comes that they're going to roll back its animal welfare commitments. And what is that you ask? Well, that they were requiring cattle to be pasture raised, and they're not doing that anymore. They are, they're going to loosen their standards for animal welfare. And they claim that that's going to save them $21 million annually. So the cattle won't be pasture raised.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Oh, no. What will I do when I go to Panera bread and I have my soup in a bowl of bread and the meat that they serve isn't pasture raised beef? I don't know. I don't know what I'll do. I guess I'll just look forward to, I see where Danzel Washington
Starting point is 00:20:10 and Jake Gillinghall are going to star in a Broadway production of Othello set to open in 2025. That might be worth seeing. I've been watching The Lincoln Lawyer again on Netflix. I love that stupid show. There's two seasons. Manuel Garcia Rolfo Pays Mickey Holler
Starting point is 00:20:28 in The Lincoln Lawyer. It is really good. I love both seasons. And I got, I ended season two last night again. I don't know how. is the second time. I've made it through season two. I watched it the first time.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Then I watched it a second time. And I got to thinking, okay, well, it's about time for season three. I mean, are we, did we re-up it on Netflix? Well, yes. Season three of the Lincoln Lawyer has officially geared up production. They are filming season three. But if they're filming now, we'll be lucky to get it by the end of this year. Very disappointing.
Starting point is 00:21:06 It's going to be 10 new episodes based on, The Gods of Guilt, which he uses that line in season two. The fifth book in the Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Conley. I might have to start reading the Lincoln Lawyer series. They claim that the audience response to the show was gratifying. Yeah, it was a fun show. It was great. It's Mickey Holler, man.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Kidding me, The Lincoln Lawyer. It's awesome. If you haven't seen Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix, watch it. it's fun and Manuel is awesome as Mickey Holler and the surrounding cast is really, really
Starting point is 00:21:50 well done. So you know, let's go ahead and catch it. I like the, I like the court cases going on and he's, you know, he's the Lincoln lawyer. Duh. Speaking of court cases and lawyers, the New Mexico
Starting point is 00:22:05 jury has found the Rust movie Armourer Hannah Guterres Reed and they says here in this story
Starting point is 00:22:15 they're just calling her Hannah Guterres but it's Hannah Guterres Reed I thought maybe Reed left I don't know
Starting point is 00:22:23 maybe Reed said hey you're on trial we're out so maybe it's just Hannah Guterres now but she was found guilty of involuntary
Starting point is 00:22:32 manslaughter in the accidental shooting death of cinematographer Holland Hutchins Now, remember, Rust was the movie being filmed that was starring Alec Baldwin. Only took the jury two hours to deliberate.
Starting point is 00:22:54 It was a 12-person jury. They were asked to review evidence. It was a, I think it was a 10-day trial. And they were to determine whether she acted recklessly or with willful disregard for the safety of other. while overseeing guns and ammunition on the movie set. That's been two and a half years ago since that very sad day. The 26-year-old Arizona woman faces up to 18 months in prison for her role in the death of photography director Helena Hutchins.
Starting point is 00:23:27 The jury was dismissed after the jury foreman read the verdict. Off they go. And the special prosecutor asked that Gutierrez be taken into custody immediately. And New Mexico, first judicial district judge, Mary Marlowe, Sumner, agreed, and the court deputy escorted Gutierrez out the side door of the courtroom. So she'd been charged with involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering. The jury found her not guilty of evidence tampering. So the special prosecutors and attorneys for weapons handler Hanu Guterres read finished presenting their cases in her Santa Fe, New Mexico trial, on Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:24:11 So now we have to be ready for the trial with Alec. That is starting in July. I think they're looking to get a jury on the 9th, and then they're going to have like an 8 to 10 day trial for Alec Baldwin. And that should be fun, because I don't believe that he should be found guilty, but we'll see how they present their case and how he defends himself.
Starting point is 00:24:38 because I think the whole thing is just silly that he should be found guilty. But on the other hand, like I've said, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Marshall's buyers travel far and wide, hustling for great deals on amazing gifts. So you don't have to. They've bagged this season's Italian leather handbags.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Designer. Hand-picked the finest sweaters from the rest. Ooh, cashmere. Landed makeup. palettes from the brands you love. Brushes too. And hustled all those wishless topping toys. So plush. Our buyers
Starting point is 00:25:30 have got you covered. Marshal's. We get the deals. You gift the good stuff. Who died today? Who died today? Well, we have Janice Burgess. Janice Burgess has passed away. Rest in peace. She was 72.
Starting point is 00:25:48 She was the creator or is the creator of Nickelodeons, the backyard agains. And who hasn't fallen in love with the backyard against? She died, well, she was in hospice care in Manhattan. Apparently, she had breast cancer and was struggling with her. We've all, you know, had breast cancer touch our lives. And it's very, very sad.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Rest and peace, Janice Burz. She was the real deal at Nickelodeon. and her work at Nickelodeon was incredible, and she was also a well-known smoker, and so I'm sure that didn't help. That didn't help at all, but she was on fire and did so much and created so many children's shows
Starting point is 00:26:38 and oversaw so many of them at Nickelodeon. She was a force to be reckoned with. So rest in peace, Janice Burgess Burgess, dead at the age of 72. then we have a German man who isn't dead, but he claims that he got 217 COVID shots and reports no side effects. He claims he deliberately got vaccinated for COVID-19
Starting point is 00:27:07 a whopping 270 times and did not report any side effects from that many jabs. The researchers are now studying the possibility of, you know, he may be the most vaccinated person in history. The immune system of this 62-year-old man from central German city of Amogneberg, who has not been named, is still firing on all cylinders. The man voluntarily received so many shots against all medical advice and warned against jumping to far-reaching conclusions from this single case.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Okay. Now, they claim here that he, they weren't sure that he, they weren't sure that he, was telling the truth. So they collected evidence of 130 vaccinations over nine months. He claims he got he got it all done
Starting point is 00:27:58 in 20 months, I believe. And so he got all these vaccinations. They are studying his hyper vaccination. And what is happening? I believe they believed, they theorized
Starting point is 00:28:16 that after being hit by somebody vaccinations of bodies immune cells would become less effective as they become accustomed to the antigens. But that's not the case for this German man. In fact, they said considerably higher concentrations of immune cells and antibodies for the COVID virus than a control group of three people who received the recommended three vaccinations. The study said, also, I will say that according to this, he never had COVID. So there you go. If you, you don't need four, you don't need your COVID shots and the boosters.
Starting point is 00:28:55 What you need is just 217 VAC shots and you'll be fine. And you got to mix them up. You got to mix them up. You got to get, you got to get COVID vaccine, different COVID vaccines, including all MRI versions. And he did it over 29 months. They confirmed 130 over nine months. but he claims 217, over 29 months.
Starting point is 00:29:23 So have fun, good luck, God bless. Oh, and for those of you that saw the coffin wash up on the beach near Galveston's Pleasure Pier over the weekend, just now there wasn't a body in it. Yeah, I know, the jokes were all there. You know, I saw the social media post. when you try to die outside of Galveston, but it keeps bringing you back.
Starting point is 00:29:52 It was just a stunt that was done by the haunted Mayfield Manor. They decided that they would do this and bring people to, hey, why don't you come to our haunted Manor? So the coffin was a person. apparently just a promotional gimmick. Just a promotional gimmick for the haunted Mayfield Manor. Which was a good deal. Got a lot of press and people were talking about it.
Starting point is 00:30:27 And so there was plenty of good jokes to show up with the coffin on the beach. You know, somebody's dying to get to the beach. and I hate it when my mom shows up at beach parties. Really, really funny. So don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. If you saw the coffin and then you were really concerned and left the Galveston Beach area down there by the pleasure pier, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:31:06 It was just a promotion. It wasn't a real dead body and a coffin. This episode is brought to you by Peloton. A new era of fitness is here. I probably should have put this in Who Died Today? But we do have whales in the news. Whales in the news? No, I'm not talking about the joke that I used for the joke of the day, not quite some time ago, where I talked about the guy that was in a bar and two various large women with accents are sitting across from me.
Starting point is 00:32:23 and I say, cool accents, are you two ladies from Scotland? And one of them yells, it's whales, you idiot. So I said, okay, are you two whales from Scotland? The joke is I don't remember much after that. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about actual whales in the news, okay? So there was dead humpback whales out of Virginia Beach. this weekend.
Starting point is 00:32:54 They washed ashore along the stretch of the beach. And the marine biologist showed up and performed an ecropsy to determine how it died. They don't know how they died. Noah Fisheries says the first report of a dead humpback wheel came in on Saturday. And then there was another one floating along saying, hey, isn't that another one that floats comes ashore? Yes, it is. Oh, gosh, darn it. Not one but two.
Starting point is 00:33:21 Dead whales. along the Virginia Beach. And man, what fun it would be to be just strolling along the Virginia Beach and having a 32-foot-long 32,000-pound whale wash-up on shore. And that's a little one. That's a juvenile male.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Holy cow. So they don't know if they're going to be able to determine the specific cause of the whale's death. It was a true team spirit, according to Virginia Beach, fire police and public works department and agencies from North Carolina
Starting point is 00:33:51 of stepping in as well. Once the team finished the necropsy, they buried the whales remains deep in the sand. Far down enough that they say it won't interfere with beach activity. Okay. If you say so, hey, is that a giant explosion where my sand umbrella is? Yeah, this is the whale exploding. Don't worry about it. So a marine biologist barricaded all around the whales, and they said,
Starting point is 00:34:21 hey, they're protected by the Marine Mammal Protection Action, which makes touching these animals illegal. Shut up. You're going to, if the dead whale washes up on the beach, I can't go up and touch it? Okay. If you say so, if you say so. So they ask anyone who sees a stranded whale,
Starting point is 00:34:42 because this whale wasn't stranded. It was dead. Call the stranding hotline. That's 866-755-66-22. 866-75-6-6-22. And you're going to be directed to a trained responder. So winter and early spring are common time for dead whales to wash up. Yeah, man, nothing says spring like a dead whale washing up on the coast.
Starting point is 00:35:14 So rest in peace to hump back whales, the flow, you know, rolling up on the old beach. in Virginia Beach. Now, I will say that, you know, they keep telling me whales are, you know, they're actually going extinct. And they're going extinct because whales can't out sing human noise pollution. That was a big story.
Starting point is 00:35:41 That part of whales in the news when they tell me that the Baleen whales have evolved a special voice box to help them sing underwater. but this is making them vulnerable to be drowned out by human noise pollution. Okay, well, I mean, complex whale melodies first recorded some 50 years ago are known to play a key role
Starting point is 00:36:02 in the social and reproductive communication of these massive marine animals. Okay, that's great. But noise pollution, and I know a lot of people are blaming the windmills off the coast for causing this noise pollution for these whales. So they want us to, you know, tone it down,
Starting point is 00:36:20 for these whales because they could be going extinct. Except then I see a story that talks about how these killer whales worked together to kill and eat sharks. So then they absolutely followed these two killer whales around as they would round up sharks and eat them. Then they said, we couldn't believe it. The one whale did it on his own. Wait, what?
Starting point is 00:36:49 Yeah. The male killer whale killed the shark and consumed its liver all in under about two minutes. And he did it all on his own. He didn't need the help of his partner. He got pissed. His partner was taken too long. And he said, I'll just do it myself. So they know how to do it.
Starting point is 00:37:07 And I'd rather have them do that than attacking sailboats in the Atlantic. But then here's the deal. More whales in the news. A rare gray whale extinct in the Atlantic for 200 years spotted near Nantucket. So it really wasn't extinct. Was it? You just let us to believe that they didn't exist anymore. No, they still exist. They just showed up.
Starting point is 00:37:41 The gray whale extinct but not really extinct. The article keeps calling it extinct from the Atlantic. more than 200 years. Somebody said, hey, look at that there. Isn't that one of those, them there, extinct gray whales? So the aquarium's aerial survey team circled the whales area for about 45 minutes, took photos, and later confirmed it was indeed a rare gray whale. Research technician Kate Lemmel,
Starting point is 00:38:18 L-A-E-M-M-L-E was quoted as saying my brain was trying to process what I was seeing because this animal was something that should not really exist. Okay, but it does. So the species
Starting point is 00:38:34 apparently disappeared from the Atlantic Ocean by the 18th century. Was it because of humans? Yes, in part because of whaling. Oh, in part because of whaling. Couldn't have been noise pollution since it was the 18th century.
Starting point is 00:38:48 century. However, five have been observed in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean waters in the last 15 years. Oh my gosh. So they aren't extinct. In fact, they've just gone away at our busy breeding where we haven't seen them. Just amazing. Wales in the news. Wales in the news. and they, without the sea ice that usually limits the range of gray whales, they can potential travel the passage in the summer, something that wouldn't have been possible the previous century.
Starting point is 00:39:26 Wait, what, yeah, it's ice-free, and we're just killing the planet, so it's climate change is playing a part. And that's why we're seeing them again. No, we're seeing them again because they went away. And then they started breeding more, and now they're back. I mean, it's just wails in the news.
