And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher.
A New York woman has filed a proposed class action lawsuit against the Girl Scouts of America,
following claims that the organization's cookies contain heavy metals, pesticides, and other toxins.
The lawsuit filed in a federal court by Amy Mayo earlier this week,
claims that the Girl Scouts of America,
along with cookie manufacturer, Ferreiro USA,
and interbake foods,
operating under the name ABC Bakers,
are selling cookie containing heavy metals and toxins.
Okay.
The lawsuit points to a study commissioned by groups
moms across America and GMO science, love them,
that said of 100% of the cookies tested,
contaminated contained aluminum, arsenic, cadium, lead, and mercury.
And the 13 cookies were positive for high levels of glyphosate.
Yeah, like I said, high levels of glyphosate.
Yeah, an herbicide typically used to kill weeds.
Now, the study was not published in a scientific journal, nor was it peer-reviewed,
and used a small sample size, which everyone has pointed.
out. It doesn't necessarily
reflect contamination levels
nationwide.
It also compared heavy metals
and glyphitheut.
Like I said, I don't need you
to say the word again, levels
not to U.S. Food and Drug Administration
Food Safety Standards, but rather to
water safety limits set by the EPA
which aren't applicable to food.
Yet the study's results were touted.
We heard about it on
Rogan's podcast, and there's plenty of news going viral about this study.
Now, the lawsuit echoes the findings of the study, alleging that Girl Scout cookies
contain the dangerous levels of heavy metals and pesticides.
It accuses the Girl Scouts of making false claims about safety and quality of Girl Scout cookies
and marketing materials and packaging.
The lawsuit says that Mayo and other potential plaintiffs would not have purchased the cookies
had they known this information.
Okay, if you say so.
As a result, claims a lawsuit the defendants violated consumer protection laws and benefited from unjust enrichment from the sale of the contaminated cookies.
How much will it take for everyone to be happy with this?
Well, the suit seeks $5 million in damages for U.S. buyers of the cookies, as well as an injunction requiring the cookie sellers to update packaging to disdemeanor.
disclose the presence of the substances.
Uh, yeah.
So five million.
And if you want to be a part of that class action lawsuit,
you'll end up with getting a dollar.
But they will get five million.
And we'll see what happens with that case.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Because we don't even really know if it's true.
We just know that, uh,
this particular group,
moms across America and GMO science said it was true.
Okay. All right. Sure. We got you. Welcome. I'm still going to have my thin mince for now. Welcome to chewing the fat.
I am fascinated by this story. So a missing woman was rescued after six days in a crashed car in Indiana. This Brianna Castle, 41, was reported missing six days ago by her parents.
And the mother said that she had just begun to figure that she was not going to see her daughter again.
Apparently, she fell asleep on the way home from her parents' house, and there was a bridge.
She verved off the road or veered, and then went down into this very deep ditch.
And there was a creek at the bottom of it.
The back of the car was immersed in the creek.
So she spent six days down there.
There were cars, they claimed 400 cars.
a day passed by this bridge.
No one saw any evidence of this car down in the creek or where she verved or veered off the road.
And until one day, six days later, Johnny Martinez was driving a 10-foot-tall tractor.
He works for the county.
And he saw the car crashed in a ditch.
And he said, then he contacted his supervisor.
And they, the supervisor came out.
I don't know why Johnny couldn't just, could just,
there himself and the baraco fire chief jeremy van der wall who joined him to investigate the crash
van der walt said he didn't think anyone was in the car when martinez took him to the scene he said
i don't think anyone wasn't in the car but then the next thing you know uh i saw something move
and so we went down there he said he saw something that looked white but that's pretty he said
that's typical uh the front end collision airbag deploys and they're all white so i just assume it was
an airbag. Oh, okay. So then finally he saw something move and he came down there. And he said,
oh my gosh, somebody's in there. And being a fire chief, the next county over, he grabbed his
fire radio and got a hold of dispatch and told him what was going on. And then he got down to the car.
And he said, I hollered at her. Are you okay? Her answer was the correct one. No, I am not.
I need help.
So they checked the car
And police said they
She was all alone
She was conscious and able to speak
They discovered she had injured
And was trapped in the car
For nearly a week
The fire chief said that
She has some dry blood on her forehead
And I said, how long have you been down here?
She said, since Wednesday
I said, ma'am, it's Tuesday
I think you may be confused
No, the one
before, you idiot.
He then
realized, oh my gosh, you're the one
the family's been looking for. It's been all over
social media. I can't
believe you've been down here this long.
And they finally, they got her
out of there and she's safe.
She said that she was hoping,
you know, obviously someone would find her.
She was dipping her sweater
into the creek water
and then sucking the water
out of the sweater to survive.
Incredible. Of course, they
you know, flew her to the hospital, and she stayed overnight, and she was fine.
And the family was all happy that they found her, and they want to spend time with her and have her recover.
Now, she said, the situation has taught her anything.
It's to make sure people use tracking device or an app to keep tabs on loved one.
Well, I mean, if she had a cell phone, you probably could have tracked that, right?
And it didn't say what kind of car she had, but most cars have some kind of tracking device on them.
And as a parent, you probably know the way your daughter is driving home from your house.
Wouldn't you take that trip and maybe drive along the road?
It didn't say that they did or didn't.
And maybe they did and just didn't see it.
So, you know, I'm not quite sure I agree with.
Everyone needs to be chipped just like your dog.
Okay.
And the funny thing about, it's not funny, but there's a story that they reference in this story about Brianna, about another person in 2023 who had a very similar experience.
This guy survived six days in a ravine along this Salt Creek in Indiana as his pickup truck fell off an overpass on Interstate 94.
It's right there in Indiana.
And the pickup truck smashed and mangled and he couldn't get out.
He couldn't reach his phone to call for help.
He had a cell phone.
Couldn't call for help.
We couldn't track him.
He remained there surviving on rainwater and using his airbag as a blanket when it got cold out.
Wow, for six days.
Two fishermen out scouting for a place to fish came across him and said,
Hey, somebody's in there.
And they rescued him and they had to amputate his leg.
Thankfully, Brianna did not have.
have to amputate any body parts.
But,
and another rule of thumb that we need to address,
do not,
hey, I don't know if you want to drive alone in Indiana.
And do not have been,
holy cow,
people are just swerving off the road in Indiana.
Be careful out there.

I'm in Shumpert and Tiana Taylor.
you remember them from the VH1 reality show,
Tiana and Iman.
Of course you do.
And they have two daughters.
And one daughter was born in 2015.
The other daughter was born in 2020.
And Schumpert assisted in their birth.
I was reading a story about them.
Because the headline is that Tiana Taylor
and Iman Chumper's divorce settlement has been finalized.
And the terms are making the headlines.
Well, okay, so the marriage,
was they separated in
23. They reached a legally
binding agreement in June
of 2024. So I guess it's
finalized now 100%.
But he made
a lot of money playing in the NBA.
And I think his last contract
was 40 million. It says now
that he's probably worth about 18 to
20 million. Okay, so he still has some
money. But
this divorce settlement now,
he has to
he has to give over four luxury homes valued it over $10 million,
a one-time-seven-figure payment,
various luxury vehicles, including the $300,000 Maybach,
the 70,000 Mercedes Sprinter, and a tour bus.
Taylor will also maintain full ownership of her business.
In addition to the financial settlement,
Schubert is required to pay eight,
thousand dollars a month in child support for the couple's two daughters he will also cover their private
school tuition costs ensuring of course that the children will be well provided for despite the
separation oh okay so they're getting eight thousand month for child support and he's paying for the school
boy that seems like a bad deal but maybe he just wanted to get out of the whole relationship
Now, they claim, or at least she claims, that the separation, we've been separated for a while.
And infidelity ain't one of the reasons for our departure.
That's what Tiana said.
You could quote her on that.
To be a thousand percent clear, infidelity ain't one of the reasons for our departure.
She also assured her followers on her Instagram account that she and Shumpert remained close.
Uh-huh.
We're still best of.
friends, business partners, and are all, I want to make sure I want to make sure I quote her on her
our Instagram post. We are still the best of friends, great business partners. Yeah. And are one hell
of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children. And they are. The kids are just
cute as all get out. But she continues on that she thrives in her business and professional life. Yeah,
thanks to him.
And she's moved down romantically now.
So that's good.
I mean, look,
infidelity ain't one of the reasons for our departure.
He has to pay her,
give her properties,
homes worth $10 million.
I was reading about,
how much money did he make?
And his big contract
was with Cleveland for $40 million.
And I guess
everything throughout the years
they paid him $48 million
in salary throughout his NBA career.
Okay, I mean, he stopped playing in the NBA, I think, in 2021.
So he had a pretty good career.
And he made a good chunk of change.
He was a decent NBA player.
And he had some real estate investments that he dealt in.
But boy, what a bad investment in Brianna.
Woof.
Having to give up all that for just to get rid of her.
That had to be it.
That had to be it.
Because you're not giving all that up unless you absolutely just want to get rid of the woman.
Right?
Or the man, if it worked the other direction.
But this time it works in this direction.
It ain't infidelity.
So what is it?
It's that I can't stand you.
And I'll give you whatever you want.
Just leave me alone.
That's what it is.

Then you can do that any time, chewing the fat at the blaze.com.
Okay, Harvey Weinstein.
You know him, you love him.
The retrial of his 2020 rape and sexual assault conviction is set for April 15th in New York.
He's 72 now.
He was at the court proceedings and he arrived from the jail in a wheelchair and a suit and holding a stack of documents before the public portion of his hearing began.
There's a picture of him with his attorney and he's smiling.
It's got a big smile on his face.
He does not look very healthy.
the two officers standing behind them do not look happy at all.
They look like, well, how you think police officers should look.
And so, remember, he asked for this to be moved up,
originally, because he said,
I don't know how much longer I can hold on with cancer, heart issues,
and the harsh conditions of New York City's Rikers Island jail complex,
where he's locked up.
And the judge said,
if the trial he's on
ends early, then we'll get
you started early as well.
He's being retried on charges that
he forcibly performed oral sex on a
movie and TV production assistant in 2006
and raped an aspiring actor
in 2013. The additional charge
filed last September
alleges he forced oral sex on a
different woman at a Manhattan
Hotel in 2006.
She has not been identified
publicly yet, and they came forward
days before the trial was supposed to start.
We'll see. They went through a bunch of pre-trial stuff yesterday,
which is interesting if you're interested in that kind of stuff.
They granted the prosecution request to call a psychologist.
They,
the psychologist, Don Hughes, is an expert witness
on psychological and traumatic effects of rape and sexual assault.
She previously testified, do you remember her at the Amber Hurd and Johnny Depp libel trial against Heard?
Wow.
And as a prosecution witness in the singer R. Kelly's federal sex trafficking trial.
So Don Hughes is everywhere.
Just pay me.
I'll show up for these big cases.
The judge also granted a defense request to preclude the term survivor from being used to describe Weinstein's accusers.
He told prosecutors to instruct any police officers who testify to
refer to the women as complaining witnesses.
And while Weinstein conviction, Weinstein's convictions from the first trial were thrown out,
his acquittals on the most serious charges, two counts of predatory sexual assault and first
degree forcible rape still stand.
They, uh, he also, you know, is guilty in California as well.
So he's not getting out of jail.
Uh, this is just, uh, you know, big time for show since that first case got thrown.
out. But he looks better than I had anticipated. He's got a big smile. He's missing a tooth or two
on the top row there. But he looks better than I'd seen him in the past with the big smile on his
face. But he doesn't look well. And he might not make it. I know. I know. Dry your eyes.
All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately.
things that you really didn't know that you needed and you probably don't a sequel to the
1984 movie Spinal Tap is set for a September release so man we got something to look forward
to that uh I also see where season four of hacks is going is it up and running and
it's going to be it's going to drop on max April 10th the promo looks great I love that
that stupid show with Gene Smart and What's Her Face?
You know, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hanna, N-Binder.
Hannah-N-Binder is her name.
And the entire cast is really good.
I really do enjoy that show, Hacks on Max.
So the new season will drop on April 10th.
And they'll probably do the first two and then release the rest weekly.
That's the way Max usually works.
So that's coming out on April 10th, really good.
I also saw where Avatar, they're starting to promote Avatar 3,
which I didn't really think that they would ever make it to 3, to be honest,
but they have.
And so congratulations to what's his face, John Cameron.
But I was reading this post from Cameron,
who talked about his wife,
bawled for four hours after he showed her avatar fire and ash she kept trying to get her crap back together again so she could tell me specific reactions and then she'd just tear up again oh was that because it was so good or was it because it was so terrible john i don't know that i would use that analogy to promote it but apparently he was probably um
thinking that I didn't read the entire interview for Empire online,
but I'm sure that's what it was, is that she was,
it was so beautiful and so wonderful, she just couldn't stop crying.
And I like Avatar.
The first one was good.
The second one was eh.
And am I looking forward to the third one?
No.
And do I think that the fourth and fifth one will ever get made?
I do not.
According to reports, Spotify, said that it paid out the music.
music industry, $10 billion in royalties, the highest annual payment from any single retailer in
history, according to Spotify. And its report released this week boasted that its payouts have increased
tenfold over the past decade with the number of artists generating royalties tripling since
2017. In total, almost 1,500 artists generated over a million dollars in royalties and 12,000
500 made it over the $100,000 milestone in 2024.
That's still, and people are still pissed over the compensation that artists receive.
But, you know, that some artist boycott at Spotify's a Grammy party over streaming
royalties.
But Spotify says, hey, we don't pay the artists or the songwriters directly.
We pay rights holders.
These rights holders then pay.
artists and songwriters based on their individual agreements. So for the 12,500 who made over $100,000,
how much actually ended up in the pockets of those music makers? Who knows? Spotify has no idea,
because that's not who they pay. So keep up the good fight for the compensation for music artists
because they definitely need to be getting their money. But pay attention to the deals you sign.

Wow.
It really is who died today, but who's not dead yet, but it's on its last legs.
The Roomba, the Roomba days are numbered.
Yes, the I-Robot Rumba, well, the maker.
robot of the autonomous vacuum cleaner, told investors that it could cease to operate in the next 12 months
if it doesn't find a buyer. Wow. Amazon, I thought was going to buy it, but apparently that deal fell
through a couple of years ago. Amazon was going to buy it for $1.7 billion. Oh, that's right,
there was regulatory pressure. Right. Amazon owns too much. Well, okay, well, then it's going to go out of
business. Since then, its CEO has stepped down. It's laid off more than,
than half of its workforce as a competition from Chinese manufacturers dims the path back
to profitability.
I-Robot stock was shellacked by 36% on this news.
He had no kidding.
So I-Robot, the Roomba may be dead.
Now look, you're sooner than probably, hopefully within this year's time.
You're going to be able to have an actual robot doing your vacuuming instead of just the
Roomba, right? I mean, who doesn't want that? I know I do. All right, we do have a who died today, though.
Who died today? 18-year-old Billy Jean Floyd dead at the age of 18. And the reason that he died is because he was
taking care of a little bit with another woman who was married to another man. And when he came home,
he did not like what he saw
and he stabbed him to death
I know
I don't recommend that
but then and again I might not recommend
you know
cheating on your husband with an 18 year old
so he returned home
and he said I found him in bed
with my wife and I just lost it
oh okay
so he had just turned 18
so according to police
when they arrived they found the man
Belk is his name
The
alleged killer
who admitted to it
said they found him
at the front door
covered in blood
with cuts on his hands
Oh, okay
His wife, the 31-year-old
Jada Goldston,
also suffered several stab wounds
that required her to be hospitalized
but they were
non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Okay.
Good.
I'm just going to stab you just because I'm mad at you,
but I don't want to kill you.
The wife initially told law enforcement that a man had jumped on her boyfriend while they were in bed.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And when they asked him, hey, you have any other issues we need to know about?
He said, yeah, I'm worried about my relationship with my wife due to the fact that I offed him.
Yeah.
That's an issue.
issue. That relationship is
probably over, I'm guessing,
since you stabbed the guy
she was having an affair with and
killed him, and
then stabbed
her. And he
had, the reason that he was covered in
blood was because
he had stuffed this
kid, well, this
18-year-old man, into
a garbage can. Oh,
okay. So you stabbed
him to death. You stabbed your wife,
and then you stuff the guy into a garbage can.
All right, no problem.
A little upset over the whole wife
taking care of a little business with the 18-year-old.
So rest and peace to Billy Jean Floyd,
murdered at the age of 18.
More from, well, they're not dead yet.
Alan Jackson, the country singer, the star,
who I'm a fan of Alan, love a lot of his work.
He is giving up touring.
He is retiring, and his last show will be performed here in Texas at the Two Step In 2025 festival.
And I think there's a couple other shows in Florida and Wisconsin as well.
But that show takes place on April 5th at the Two Step In festival,
which takes place in Georgetown, Texas, at the San Gator.
Gabriel Park.
So enjoy the final shows of Alan Jackson.
Now, I guess he's sick.
I didn't know that Alan was sick.
He apparently has this charcot-Marie tooth, which is a, I don't wish that on anyone.
The Charcot-Marie tooth, a chronic neuropathy condition, which affects a person's balance and ability to walk.
Yeah, that would hinder.
a concert appearance.
I don't know.
I don't know that I've ever heard of
Charcot-Marie tooth,
but it's a chronic neuropathy condition
affecting your balance and ability to walk.
So I don't wish that anyone.
I don't wish the Charcot-Marie tooth on anyone.
So catch Alan Jackson on his final leg.
I mean, literally, this last leg
of the concert tour.
All right, I'll stop.
And then I see where Cindy Lopper...
You need to dry your eyes.
Get a tissue out.
I mean, we've got Alan Jackson.
And we've got Cindy Lopper,
who's going to retire as well.
She's announced her final leg
of what's being flagged as her last tour.
She's going to begin in July
and end up in New York
and end up in Hollywood at the end of August.
So she's stopping touring as well.
She's...
saying she's had a great career and it gives a long list of all her accomplishments and then
she was she had the documentary right and then what's wrong with cindy lappertu i know she's got that
skin disease i mean i see her doing her commercials for psoriasis which is uh you know which has
plaques and scales apparently it's really bad
nobody wants it i don't want you to have to
deal with it either, but that's why she's trying to raise awareness to psoriasis and how you need to
take care of your skin.

Conditions apply.
So the launch that was expected to take place last night that is being billed as the rescue mission, which is weird, because they sent the rescue mission spaceship up already, which has been docked at the ISS for quite some time now with new suits and everything.
So I'm not quite sure I understand that.
They tried to tell us that it was a political thing from Joe Biden that kept them from being rescued.
just kind of weird.
So this launch was from the SpaceX crew 10, which is a mission to the ISS,
and there's being billed as we're going to rescue the astronaut from the Boeing Starliner.
That was scrubbed due to hydraulic ground issue.
And so maybe it'll launch tomorrow night, Friday.
If you're listening live, today is the 13th of March 2025.
It may go off Thursday.
I mean, Friday the 14th at night.
in the evening at 703.
There's also, I guess, available time on Saturday at 6.41 p.m. for the launch.
So it may or may not launch if there's another hydraulic issue.
I'm really, it bugs me that it's being touted as the rescue mission to go save the Boeing astronauts,
though, because I thought we'd already done that.
And then that mission to come home was postponed until this mission,
Well, maybe until this mission was to go up.
So maybe that was the deal.
If I remember right, I don't have it in front of me right now.
And I, you know, I don't feel like looking for it.
But if I remember right, that mission was supposed to go up,
and then they'd have the spacesuits,
and they'd have the spaceship.
And then once this mission got up there with the replacements at the ISS,
then they could come home.
Maybe that was it.
Anyway, it's not happening right now.
So that's more postponement from,
the launch pad and we'll go up hopefully Friday night and or Saturday and we'll bring
Butch and sunny home they've only been up there for about nine months on an eight-day trip
I mean it's all that almost like Gilligan's Island was a three-hour tour now all I want to do is sing
the Gilligan's Island theme to the eight-day trip the weather started getting rough
the tidies chip was tossed if
Not for the courage and the fearless crew.
The starliner would be lost.
The starliner would be lost.
The ship took ground docking on the ISS.
There you go.
That's, I'm done.
That's a quick off the top of my head,
rewriting of the Gilligan's Island song.
You could do the rest.
All right, before we get out of here with the joke of the day,
I want to do a story that's been in my head since last night.
I read this and I thought, okay, that's kind of weird to think about.
So the water we drink is estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old, which is older than Earth itself, because the water was present when the solar system formed.
So are we drinking the same water the dinosaurs did?
These scientists claim, yes, we are.
Molecularly speaking, anyway, the same water that exists today also did when the dinosaurs roamed the earth.
all water on earth is recycled in some way.
So just think about that the next time you're opening that
microplastic filled bottle from Walmart for your drink of water.
That's dinosaur water.
All right, let's do the joke of the day.
Sent to us by Chewing the Fat via Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com from Jason.
Now, Jason has done a little bit of work.
He sent a couple of jokes, and he sent one from his wife.
So now we're getting the family involved.
I like it.
I like it a lot.
He said that he enjoys listening to Chewing the Fat.
I hope so.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
And he said that these jokes, he didn't write.
So he's not taking credit for writing them.
I don't know if the wife is taking credit for her joke,
but we'll tell you all the jokes.
that was sent in from Jason and his wife.
Okay?
What did the rock drummer name his twin daughters?
Anna one and a two.
Oh, wait, I forgot.
What did the rock drummer name his twin daughters?
I don't know.
What did the rock drummer name his two daughters?
Anna one and a two.
Yeah, that's an old joke.
A joke number two from Jason.
How does the hippie polygamist count his wives?
I don't know.
How does the hippie plumbigamous?
I can't even say the joke.
How does the hippie polygamist count his wives?
I don't know.
How does the hippie polygamist count his wives?
One misses hippie.
Two misses hippie.
Three misses.
Oh, so stupid.
And the wife, Alyssa.
sent in her joke along or Jason sent his wife Alyssa's joke in
