With Amex Platinum, you have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide.
So your experience before takeoff is a taste of what's to come.
That's the powerful backing of Amex.
Conditions apply.
Blaze Radio Network.
And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher.
So Larry O'Connor, a guy from Dayton, Ohio, an entrepreneur,
the Connor Group, or real estate investment company.
said he planned to take a deep sea submersible to Titanic level depths.
And he wants to go down and prove that the personal sub-industry is safe.
All right.
Now, this, you know, not too long ago, we had the Ocean Gate implosion, right, where they went down and it, well, blew up, killed them all.
Everyone died.
and he's already taken explorations to the Mariana Trench, the International Space Station.
He wants to travel with Triton submarines co-founder Patrick Leahy,
and they're going to plunge to the ocean's depths in the Triton 4,002 explorer.
It's a two-person submersible listed on the company's website for about $20 million.
Now there's a...
Descendant of Titanic survivors.
Now what? They're going to go down to about 12,400 feet, 2.3 miles
in the two-person submissible to the historic shipwreck site.
The descendant of the Titanic survivors, Shelly Binder, she's not happy.
She said that the Titanic should be a resting place and should be left undisturbed,
especially following the Ocean Gate disaster.
That's a little bit too late for that, Shelly.
I don't know if you know this, but we've already, we've got stuff.
We've picked it.
We've got stuff from the Titanic.
In fact, the building that I'm in has a Titanic lifeboat hanging from the ceiling.
So it's a, don't bog me down with facts, whether it's the movie or it's the actual Titanic.
Okay.
I'm just telling you that there's a Titanic lifeboat.
hanging from the ceiling in this building.
And she goes on to say that for generations,
people who have the money
are going to spend it doing things
to prove their machismo
and appease their sense of adventure.
But does that mean they should?
Yes, they should.
He's got the money.
Let him do it.
And I want it filmed.
And we should have actually,
we should have it set up
so it's going to the cloud.
So when it implodes, and I don't want it to.
But when it does, I want film of it.
Okay.
So good luck to Larry, and we'll see.
Apparently, she has spoken to numerous others who lost relatives when the Titanic sunk in 1912,
who are with her in thinking tourism around visiting the underwater burial site is just wrong.
Well, you know who's wrong here?
Yeah.
They are.
Okay, they are.
Sorry about it, but they are.
We're going down.
If we can, we're humans.
We're going down.
If Larry could take the old two-person submersible,
is that it?
Yes.
Yes, we can.
So apparently, let's see,
the majority of people aboard the ship were in third class,
including her great-grandmother and great-uncle,
and how they had to fight for their lives
to get out of third class to safety.
Okay, well, it's third class.
I mean, sorry.
What do we?
Good luck, Larry.
Good luck, and I want to see pictures
from the two-person submersible.
Sorry, Shelly, I know your family.
Rest and peace.
I got it.
Welcome.
Welcome to Chewing the Fat.
So the countdown is on as we speak.
We're recording, chewing the fat right now, and the Boeing launch that was to be this past Saturday, which was axed four minutes to launch.
And it was delayed from the original day, which was, I don't know, a month ago, almost a month ago.
So they checked everything.
They checked the phnorteners.
They tightened up any lug notes, any hex and bolts, whatever had to be tightened up.
There was some leakage issues.
and I know that there was a computer ground launch sequencer
that wasn't loading into the correct operational configuration
after they were proceeded into the terminal account.
So they just couldn't do it, obviously.
So NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunni Williams,
I believe are already on board the Boeing Starliner spacecraft
and the ULA's Atlas V rocket
that's launching off of Complex 41 in Cape Canaveral Space Station in Florida.
And they're supposed to go up today at 1052 Eastern time.
And as far as right now, the launch is still a go.
So let's check in with NASA and see if it's still a go.
And in case of an abort on the pad early in the asset.
This will likely be the last you hear from us until live.
So we are going to send you back to the team in Florida to let Megan D and Mike see us for the rest of the countdown.
All right, Megan D and Mike.
We're there because we are now under 30 minutes to launch.
So we'll see.
We'll check back in with NASA.
But I just wanted to check in and see if we're still to go because I feel like if I had to put money on this being canceled, I would.
But that's, again, that's just me.
And, you know, look, am I a gambler a little bit?
Do I play the lotto?
Sure.
Did I win?
No.
I see where the mega million, somebody from Illinois won.
Congratulations.
No, really.
I mean that.
From the bottom of my, I mean it.
You won 560 million jackpot, 264 million cash payout from Illinois.
Congratulations.
And I know, I know, I got it.
Okay.
I got it. Illinois was one of the founding members of the Mega Millions when the game began way back in 1996.
So there were 944,852 other winning tickets on that draw last night.
Two tickets matched five white balls and they won the game's second tier prize.
Oh, could it be me? No. In California and Maryland.
Sorry. The other day I told you there was the winning ticket for a.
million that hadn't been picked up.
That was from Texas and I was like, I didn't even want to look for a minute.
I just wanted to let it sit because it was like, okay, I'm going to have an extra
million in my pocket.
And then it wasn't me.
It was sold somewhere else in Texas.
It was very disappointing.
But I did win $6 the other day.
So back off me, all right?
Back off me.
I went in.
I was purchasing two tickets, as a matter of fact.
And I get the upgrade, so it's three bucks.
and then I went under the machine
and they have the machine now
they don't want to bog down the people who work there
to check the tickets.
They've actually got the little scanner now
in front of the lotto machine
that you scan your own tickets.
So you just put it on a boop
and then it comes up how much you won.
Usually it comes up not a winner.
It never works.
I had quite a few people laughing
a couple days ago when I went in
and it was like,
Boop.
This thing never works right.
It's always not a winner.
I had the girl behind the counter.
She actually stood up straight
instead of leaning over the red cash register.
Like, oh, there's a problem.
I was like, yeah, it just reads not a winner.
And some guy down the line goes,
mine does that too.
And so then, I was a little lottery fun
at the old gasoline station.
Oh, yeah.
And then we have the powerball,
drawing. As long as we're on Lotto, I'll let you know. You've got the powerball drawing tonight.
If you're listening live, it's the 5th of June 2024 for 185 million, 86 million cash payout.
So good luck, especially to those of you in Illinois.
You know, speaking of gambling, we've had to gamble with our food products way too much.
There's been all kinds of recalls, and I don't know that I like it.
This latest one is a recall on cucumbers.
And who doesn't like cucumbers?
Now put your hand down.
You know you like them.
You'll eat them if they're there.
The Food and Drug Administration announced a recall of cucumbers
potentially contaminated with salmonella.
The Fresh Start Produce Sales, Inc.
of Delray, Florida, is recalling cucumbers
that were shipped to wholesalers and distributors in 14 states
from May 17th through May 21st.
Now, they're probably already gone off the racks,
but you don't know.
Just keep it.
Keep an eye out if you live in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia.
You know, good luck they still would be there.
You may feel the issues of salmonella with those cucumbers you purchase.
Tell you what, you know how you get a free cucumber?
This is how you get a free cucumber, okay?
And you don't even, it's just a little secret from me, okay?
You don't even have to purchase a cucumber.
This, I'm going to tell you how to get a free cucumber.
cucumber, all right?
You go into the store and you say,
if you live in one of those states,
you know, give it a shot at any state.
Just give it a shot at any state.
You go to the store and you say,
hey, you know, I threw my receipt away,
but I bought some cucumbers and, well,
I bought some other items in the produce department,
but I bought some cucumbers this past weekend.
And I'm still, I still feel like,
I got a little, you know,
little thing going on.
I don't know
I don't want any money back or anything
but you know just
can I get me
I have a couple fresh cucumbers
and they'll do it
guaranteed
that's a darn near chewing the fat
guarantee
that you know what
I'll make it a chewing the fat guarantee
if you don't get a cucumber
by doing that
email me chewing the fat of the blaze.com
just then let me know
that you failed
then we have the
recall of
ice cream, which is I hate it when ice cream.
One of my favorite foods to consume is ice cream.
Get out of here. I know. I know, but it is.
There's a recall in Texas only.
Well, they shipped some of the ice cream to Mexico.
Nobody cares about that.
So it's here in Texas only.
The two recalled ice cream products.
See, that's the headline. The headline is very disturbing to me.
The headline says there's two recalled ice cream products.
However, when you get it in a lot of the headline, the headline says, it's very disturbing to me.
However, when you get into the story, then there's three.
So I feel like I'm lied to from the headline.
Anyway, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and I love them.
More than a month ago, they were notified and notified consumers about this ice cream.
But now they're reclassifying the recall.
Weird.
Okay, so it's H.E.B.
It's the ice cream, the three-ounce creamy creation chocolate ice cream, 12-pack.
and the three-ounce creamy creations ice cream,
lime orange combo 12-pack,
and not two but three,
the vanilla cups at H-E-B.
They were produced by San Antonio-based H-EB,
have, well, potential metal contamination.
That would seem to me it should have been classified
right from the very beginning.
I don't understand that.
Now, there's three different classifications for things that get recalled.
You can, this one that is number two.
That is issued when a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause
temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or the probability of serious
adverse health consequences is remote.
I don't know.
Is it remote that I'm eating some sort of shard of rebar?
I don't know.
I don't know.
But, you know, we'll say we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe early on we just knew something was wrong and we didn't know it was potential metal.
Early on, we knew something was wrong.
And then they found out that Joe ground up some bolt and it ended up in the ice cream.
That's very possible.
Then you have the class one recall.
which there, when there is reasonable probability,
that use or exposure to a product
could cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
Yeah, no kidding.
I'd like Class 1 recall.
I recall that immediately.
And the less serious Class 3 recall
is designated when a product is deemed unlikely
to cause any adverse health consequences
if consumed or used.
So, I just,
it's kind of concerning.
To me, and it's more concerning when there's metal shards of things, possible, possible metal shards of things in my food, especially ice cream. That could be an issue.
When I got a great deal on a great gift at winners, I started wondering, could I get fabulous gifts for everyone on my list?
Like this designer fragrance for my daughter. It's just $39.99, how could I resist? This luxurious will throw for my sister, this gold,
watch for my partner? A wooden puzzle for my niece? Leather gloves for my boss? Ooh, European chocolate for
the crossing guard? At these prices, could I find something for everyone at winners? Stop wondering.
Start gifting. Winners find fabulous for less. I want to tell you why it's important for you to have a Jace
case. Nobody who looks at our economy for more than a minute or two thinks that it's getting better.
inflation is still high and could easily get higher soon.
And this has a spiraling effect.
People aren't able to pay their bills.
So they are falling further and further behind.
Consumer sentiment is at its lowest level in the past half year.
And really, who could blame us?
Look, we've seen what our overrun healthcare system looks like when the economy is booming.
Imagine if something like that happened now.
Yeah.
The Jace case is a personalized emergency kit that contains essential antibiotics and medications
that treat the most common and deadly bacterial infections.
It provides five life-saving antibiotics for emergency use.
Just fill out a simple form online and you'll have it in case you need it.
There are add-on options too, like Epipens and Ivermectin.
Jace Medical encourages you to take your first.
family's health into your own hands. Go to jace.com, j-a-s-e-a-S-E-com, and enter the code
Jeffie at checkout for a discount on your order. Promocode Jeffie, J-E-F-F-F-Y at J-A-S-E.
Yeah, okay. Go to jace.com, and then at the bottom of this commercial, it tells me to go to
jacemmedical.com. You could do either or. That's the way the internet works.
you go to jace.com, it redirects you to their website.
If you go to jacemadical.com, that redirect you to the website too.
That is amazing. Either way, I don't care which one you type in, Jase or Jace Medical.
Go there and you'll find out just how important having a Jace case is and what it could do to your peace of mind.
Jace.com. Enter the code, Jepfia at checkout, Jase, JASE.com.
Okay, we are under three minutes before launch.
And you're wondering, you just told us it was 30 minutes like 15 minutes ago.
Well, don't bug me down with your little time frame months, okay?
We have computer issues and we're not NASA here, okay?
Well, let's go to NASA.
And we are now at, you know, 220 and counting down for the launch.
We're seeing the astronauts in the Boeing Starliner.
Are we, do we have NASA?
Oh, come on, we're just looking at the astronauts.
We're not, no one is telling us,
and here's the astronauts.
I thank you.
Vehicle internal.
155.
Launch sequencer start.
Yeah, launch sequencer start.
This was an issue before.
Security center LH2.
Securing Center L02.
All right, we're going to stay here to the lungs.
I got to be here.
I want to see if that, because I, my money's on.
We're pulling the plug.
They want this thing to go up bad, though, so I don't,
I wish, I don't want them to push it.
and then have something bad happen.
You know, I don't want that at all.
So let's see if the Boeing and the
ULV Atlas V rocket
can finally get off there.
Boeing can actually put some
astronauts into space.
I mean, Elon's been doing it.
How long?
Elon's, that's like sawing wood to Elon now.
Here we go.
Roger.
Roger that.
We're coming up.
up on a minute five.
If the emergency detection system
on Atlas detects something.
Oh,
report range status.
Wait a minute.
If we detected something,
we're under a minute.
Under a minute.
Before, COP started.
Astrodots, Butch Wilmore,
and SUNY Williams.
It will trigger the launch abort system
on Starliner and fire automatically.
If that happened,
the spacecraft would push itself away
from the rocket, a mile up, and a mile out.
Atlas, that flight pressure.
Oh, so if something happens
after it launches, yeah.
it automatically says,
ooh, hey, we're out of here.
Take care.
Parachute, parachute.
25.
Status check.
There we go.
Status.
We're going to go.
We may go.
It's 20 seconds.
They can't pull the plug.
Yeah, they can't pull the plug now.
Everything's fine.
Everything's looking good.
Skies are sunny in Florida.
Looking good.
Skies aren't sunny here in Texas.
10.
9.
9.
8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3,
Two, one, ignition.
And lift off the Starliner at Atlas Five,
carrying two American heroes drawing a line to the stars for all of us.
Okay, thank you for the announcement.
Drawing a line for all of us.
There it is.
It's up.
If you go outside right now and look up, you'll see it.
It's right there.
You can't miss it.
That's one of the things I do miss about not living in Florida, though.
is seeing all these launches.
No, I didn't go to NASA every time they launch,
but you could see it in the sky.
You know, you look up and you go, oh, there it is.
They're launching it again.
It's awesome.
And it'd be a whole bunch now that Elon's actually been doing it,
but now we have a styler and Boeing launching some too.
And Elon's going to launch some more tomorrow as well.
They're still climbing.
We're a minute 10 into the launch.
Oh, man.
Okay, so everything's still a go looking good.
Yeah, thank you.
Why?
You got a good job.
The audio from NASA.
Starliner and Atlas.
Looking good with speeds and attitude increasing as expected.
Coming up in less than 20 seconds,
the solid rocket boosters will run out of fuel and burnout.
All right.
And then if you're underneath them,
you'll get hit in the head when they hit the Earth.
But it's going to be in the water.
Okay, we got it.
Sweet.
So the launch actually happened.
I'll be.
They pulled it off.
Almost a month after the original launch date, they pulled it off.
Congratulations.
NASA and Boeing and Starliner, the whole damn crew.
Good.
That call, good handle from Capcom Joshua Putrick,
indicating the crew now has the ability to initiate an abort manually if needed.
They're not doing that.
Butch and SUNY or smoking cigarettes.
They're riding along.
They're headed for that. There it goes. All right, we've lost that.
All right. So the launch has been successful. If something bad happens now, I'll let you know as we progress here into chewing the fat.
But we did have the launch from the Boeing Starliner from NASA, astronauts, Butch Wilmer and SUNY Williams.
Now, they are going to meet at the ISS.
Originally it was reported they were going to be there for a week.
and then we're going to come back
and they parachute down
somewhere in the southwest United States.
Let's see if Boeing can pull that one off.
All right, let's go to the break room.
I need something cold to drink desperately.
You see where Sillion Murphy is coming back to play Tommy Shelby
in Netflix's Peaky Blinders film.
Nice. I know.
I didn't think that was going to happen.
I thought Sillion said he was done playing characters that smoked.
He'd smoked like 8 billion of those clove cigarettes,
and he didn't want to smoke anymore.
He did Oppenheimer who smoked.
He did, what's his face in Peky Blinders,
who smoked Tommy Shelby.
So I thought he was done with that.
Apparently, he was done with that until Netflix said,
hey, we'll give you all this money.
And then he said, you know what, okay.
Oh, you know what?
You're twisted by it.
arm. I'll smoke some more
close cigarettes and be in character
for you. No problem.
So it's been a greenlit by Netflix.
He's going to serve as the executive
producer of this to him, of course.
The film will be directed by Tom Harper,
written by Steve Knight.
Murphy expressed his excitement,
did he, stating that
Tommy Shelby wasn't finished with him
and that the project is
one for the fans. Filming
is scheduled to begin later this year.
the movie set to premiere on Netflix.
So if they film later this year,
you're not going to get that till middle to end of next year
for Netflix.
So anyway, you know, it's coming back.
It'll be good.
I mean, maybe, maybe you'll be able to understand
half the words they say during the show.
I don't know.
That show is one of those shows where it's probably a good idea
to have the closed captioned on while you watch it.
I don't know if everyone does that.
I don't because I can understand
what they're talking about.
But those of you that can't and are dumb.
Go ahead and put the close caption on
because it probably help you figure out
what they're actually saying.
But good for him.
Don't forget, we talked about some of the newer shows coming out.
I forgot to mention House of Dragon
starts in another 10 days or so too.
All new season, the House of Dragon.
I'm kind of looking forward to that.
I know, it's the House of Dragon,
and it's, you know, it was kind of the
woke house of Dragon.
I got it. But it was still,
it was still, you know, fun to watch
and I like the whole period piece.
But then because we have a House of Dragon,
I see where, isn't it interesting that at the same time,
Max, I'm sorry, HBO's Max, is raising their prices.
Huh. Isn't that interesting?
And when are they going to start that?
Oh, I know. They're going to start that yesterday.
Today is,
the 5th of June, 2024.
They released, press release, yesterday on the 4th,
and said, ah, it's effective immediately.
Okay.
Nice.
Thank you.
I did not know.
I tell you one thing I did not know,
is I didn't know about the ad-supported version of Max.
That's got to be part of their new Warner Brothers Discovery deal.
Because they talk about in this release that,
Max's ad-free tier in the U.S.,
which always was ad-free,
that was the whole thing behind HBO.
I can't call it Max.
Will rise a dollar from $1599 to $16.99 a month.
The annual plan will jump from $14999 to $1.69.69.
Wait a minute.
So if I'm only spending a dollar more a month, that's 12.
but if I get the annual plan
I'm spending $20 more,
why would I do that?
It doesn't make any sense.
The ultimate ad-free tier
will also increase by a dollar a month
rising to $299 a month
and by $10 per year
bringing the new annual to $209.99.
The max ad-supported version's price
is unchanged at $9.99 a month.
You can still get that for $10.
That's nice of them.
I didn't, I,
I don't even,
think about it because I have
Max through another
provider so it's there
but I'm not watching
here's the deal
I'm not watching ads
on HBO
okay that's not going to happen
I'm sorry I've already pissed about
Prime I already sit through
Paramount Plus
I already sit through Freebie on Prime
I'm not sitting through commercials
on Max
I pay for the commercial free
ad free tier on Hulu
and yet I still find myself having to sit through
sub-commercial because those don't count apparently
those are oh that doesn't count
that belongs to another what?
Yeah that belongs to another platform
and Hulu doesn't have control over that.
So what am I paying for?
I just I can't.
I just can't
But I will.
So my man,
Alec Baldwin,
is back in the news.
For a couple of different stories.
So his lawsuit, I'm sorry, the trial against him for involuntary manslaughter is still ongoing.
That starts in less than a month now.
Oh, maybe a month.
July 9th, I think is the date that it starts in.
So they've got big to-dos now because New Mexico prosecutor,
have asked to have
Hannah Guterres read,
the armor who has found guilty,
testify.
Well, she's already been found guilty.
So she's already said,
you know, she'll probably take the fifth.
She testified that she inadvertently
put live ammunition into the prop gun
that was holding it.
She, you know, she's serving
18 months in prison now.
Alec,
could be facing 18 months as well if he were to be found guilty,
but he's continually insisted, insisted that he never pulled the trigger.
You believe whatever you want to believe.
Even if he did pull the trigger, honestly, I don't care.
Alex is such a doof, but he should not be on trial for this.
Anyway, so we'll see.
I mean, she has said all along that it was all her.
That was the deal.
It was just incredible.
She has said that it was, now sure, Alec.
No, okay, first of all, stop for a second, okay, we got to get this.
I know it's been a while since he's been in the news,
but when I say his first name, that's the gun cocking.
When I say his first name and his last name, that's the gunshot.
If I just say Mr. Baldwin, that doesn't count.
If I just, okay, so if I just say the Baldwin family, that doesn't come.
Because I want to get this right.
Because it's been a while, and he's going to be in the news now coming up,
because the fans have voted on this show that the gunshots and the gun cocking remains
when I talk about Al, at least until the trial is over.
Okay.
Now, when we talk about the news story that's going on,
I don't know that I can keep up the gunshots for the news.
story but it's going to be awesome this new story today outside of this trial because there was some
fantastic news today and I truly am looking forward to it I mean I got that Baldwin no gotcha
you know doesn't want her to talk about what a do she was on set how he was in a
during firearms training.
He could become upset and have emotional fits,
which threw her off.
But so what?
She has said all along that it was her fault.
She should have checked the gun better.
She talked about how
she was very clear
that she should have done better.
And that's not Alex's fault.
That's fine.
That's not Alex.
Like Baldwin's fault.
So we'll see what happens.
I mean, the guy is just agonizing.
But I have great news because this is going to be so much fun.
If you don't want to watch it, I'll watch it for you.
Because he, and by he, I mean, Alec Baldwin.
I'm going to let it go this time.
Okay.
So by he, I mean, Alec Baldwin is going to be.
Oh, it's going to be some great stuff.
I don't know that I want to see the actual stuff that makes it to the air.
I want to see the stuff that doesn't make it to the air.
If you're going to be working on the Alec Baldwin new television show,
email me chewing the fat at the blaze.com.
I'll set up a whole new email address.
I'll even buy a burner phone.
And you and I can chat that way.
You could send me links.
You can send me little video clips from the outtakes of the show
because it's going to be awesome.
So this was their announcement yesterday.
You already said I was short.
Hi, I'm Allie Coleman.
And I'm Elaria Baldwin.
And we have an announcement.
And I'm Alec Goldman.
And we have an announcement to make.
No, I'm definitely not.
We're done having kids.
Sit down.
This is about our show.
We're inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild, and the crazy.
We're going to go.
Home is the place we love to be most.
You say we are the bold, we are the bold.
No, we are the most ones.
We all done a sit.
Let me go.
One, two, three.
We are the ballroom.
Ha!
Those kids are a nightmare.
Holy cow.
Those kids are a nightmare.
So they're going to have a...
And he goes on, it's going to be on TLC.
I cannot wait.
Alec is going to go completely mad.
Because there's no way he is this nice of a guy
with these kids screaming.
The wife is in his ear.
I mean,
That's the reason he leaves to go film things out in the desert for three months.
That's the reason he's shooting people in New Mexico.
I mean, accidents happening in New Mexico.
Because as soon as they did that,
then he went up to Montana or wherever it was supposed to be.
Just to be, it's going to be, well, I can't wait.
Because he's going to, if he goes off his medication during filming,
it's going to be fantastic.
And I can't wait.
Plus, he's going to prove a.
Again, what an elitist douche he is.
Because you're going to see.
You're going to see what an elitist douche he is.
That's going to be fun.
It is going to be fun to watch this show with Alec Baldwin.
It's the matcha or the three ensemble Cadocephora of the fates that I just
have denished who energize all the time.
It's the ensemble.
The form of standard and mini-regrouped.
Hello, Ben.
And the embellage.
Oh, who is practically pre to donate.
And I know that I'd
I'd love these offrary.
But I guard the Summer Fridays
and Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez.
I'm just a good ensemble
Cadowde desks is atopheed
Summer Fridays, Rare Beauty,
Way, Cifora collection, and other part of
Vite.
Procurre you see form of standard
and mini,
regrouped for a better quality
price, on line on Cifara.
com or in magazine.
Who died?
Wait, wait, why are you here?
I want to know who died today.
But before you do that...
I have three people in my Who Die Today segment, by the way.
Since I know that's your favorite segment,
I just want to tell you some bad news.
I just got back from NASA headquarters.
So it's not breaking news?
It's not breaking news.
It doesn't deserve a sound here?
It doesn't deserve, no, no, no, no, no.
Because I was upset.
I assumed you will be too.
So we saw the launch.
I was down there.
Saw the launch?
It was aired live.
It was air live.
Thank you for grabbing my feed.
But I noticed that at the four minute and 30 second mark,
okay.
They won't cartoon.
They went
They went cartoon version
So we saw the separating
That's when I stopped watching
We were doing the show
We should continue watching
Separation but we're done
You know
That's what you have me on the field
Because I continue watching the feed
That's correct
We're there to report live
And at four minutes and 30 seconds
NASA cuts the cameras
And goes into a
computer simulation
Of where the location is
And it's a cartoon
looking, you know, Rocking.
What are we doing?
But then if you, you know, right now lives, because you are listening to the show live,
of course.
You go to there and then you'll see that rendering cartoon version of the pod.
Oh, yeah.
And where is going, the location?
Can I ask a question?
Can we not afford cameras?
How is it possible that Elon?
Afford cameras.
Elon sent a car to space.
We watched them take off.
We watch the, we watch the.
Rocket boosters come down and back, land down on the motherships?
That's what I'm trying to say.
How is it possible that Elon is able to go from the ground up, back to the ground,
then while you're on space, and then the satellite is getting launched.
We can see all that.
See all of it.
All of it.
Every second of it.
But then the government has nothing.
Says, no, we're going to cut the feet.
You know, that's what they did the last time, too.
And what happened last time, did the thing that landed on the moon?
Did we get so many awesome pictures?
I know.
You know what?
No, we did it. Actually, we got one picture from China.
Wasn't that picture from China?
Yes, it was flying over.
It was flying over it.
And like, hey, you idiots, it tipped over.
Maybe I don't know.
Put a better camera on it.
It capsized and tipped over.
So how is it possible?
Is it a hole?
We did get it.
We actually got more than one picture because they did give us a picture of the camera that was,
they actually did have a camera on.
On the rover, whatever the hell they called it.
But it was on the bottom of where it fell over.
Would it fill over.
So we got a picture of like the side shot of the camera looking at the moon.
Yeah.
Unbelievable.
What are we doing?
Was it Columbia that, yeah, Columbia, the company, the shirt company, sponsor that
and created jackets for it.
And it couldn't land this thing.
So why is it?
And I know you have a few things to do.
Boeing spent, was given billions of dollars.
And they've way behind the eight ball on this, by the way, to begin with.
Oh, well, you're telling me the American company, Boeing, the one that is responsible for planes in space, special contract for the military state department.
Now they're, you know, they have, you know, a couple of issues with airplanes.
So you got two whistleblowers saying that Boeing's a ticking time bomb.
But anyways.
That doesn't do anything with them.
That doesn't do with the rockets.
No, how to do with the rocket.
But you're telling me that you're on the news for BS crap that happened to your company,
and you can't give me a stupid camera.
Just a camera.
Just a camera.
Just a couple of you two.
A couple of gopros.
Yeah, GoPro.
A couple of GoPro.
You know what?
Tape them on.
They're space tape.
Not even duct tape.
Not even duct tape.
What's that guy that we like?
Oh, yeah.
Flexio.
Yeah, what's a flexial on?
Let's go.
What are we doing?
And you tell me, you tell me, Jeff Fisher.
you're telling me that let's say Boeing, let's see your GoPro and I'm Boeing.
Thank you.
And I say to you, hey, GoPro, you know, are you interested in being part of this historic mission?
Yes?
Oh, okay.
How about you supplied us, you know, with two cameras?
Here's the deal.
There's going to be a time when the heat is really hot.
So you're going to need to go ahead and create a couple of cameras that could take some heat.
Yeah, it's just some heat.
Other than that, can you slap a couple up in this?
cockpit here and we're good.
I know. I don't understand.
We're willing to give you a cut from our government paycheck.
Oh, please. We'll put GoPro on the side of this rocket and we'll be fine.
It'll be the GoPro rocket.
Boeing 757.
The Boeing Starliner GoPro.
Oh, it's a Starliner not 757?
No.
Oh, okay.
All right, we're done.
Okay.
Who died today?
Janice Page died today at the age of 101.
Rest in peace.
Now, she was 101, so you're asking yourself,
could it be that?
Well, it could be, but they said that it was natural causes at 101.
I know, go figure.
She was on television for years in General Hospital and Santa Barbara.
She talked about forever that the dad walked out on that when she was four years old,
and her mom worked at the bank of Tacoma
and we always had enough to eat
but it was still struggling and nothing to spare
and I always wanted to be a success for my mother
to make up for my father
and she did she sang for enlisted men in World War II
and she had a few lines in an Esther Williams
Ed Skelton MGM film and then the next is history
so Janice Page
dead at the age of 101, rest in peace.
Then, another actor, William Russell,
actor William Russell, he was trying to hang in there to 101,
but he only made it to 99.
The Doctor, the Doctor Who star,
who portrayed Ian Chesterton in the doctor,
they call him a Doctor Who star.
He was in the, you know, Doctor Who.
Let's stop for a moment and talk about it.
in Dr. Who. Every couple years, we get a new
Doctor Who, we get a reset
of this and a reset of that, and all the
Doctor Who fans are like, I like this,
I like that, I don't like that. Okay, stop.
But this guy was in Doctor Who
for two years. All right?
63 to 65.
Does that still count?
I mean, obviously it does because they put it in there.
Rest in peace, William Russell, dead
at the age of 99.
then we have one more
I know, this is a very sad rapper
Brother Marquis
Is it Brother Marquis?
I don't know. It's Marquis.
Okay, sorry.
I know, sorry, it's the brother, I got it.
He, from the hip-hop group, two live crew
dead at the age of 58.
Rest in peace.
Cause of death?
not provided.
So it could be that.
It couldn't have anything to do with that.
Otherwise, they would have, they would have said something.
So rest in peace, rapper brother, Marquis.
His real name was Mark D. Ross.
Dead at the age of 58.
All right.
So are we done for the day?
I mean, we've gone on with the launch.
The show's gone on and on.
We've had all kinds of computers.
issues. Let's just do the
joke of the day
and get out of here.
Shall we? Shall we?
All right. So here is
the joke of the day.
It's kind of a, it's really
more of a, well, it's a thought
of the day. All right.
A word, a puzzle of the day.
All right.
It's the bathtub test. It's called
the bathtub test. And no, not
that kind of test. Okay.
You don't have to get in or take your clothes off or anything.
Unless you want to.
If you want to, go ahead.
I'm not going to say.
I promise I won't stop you.
During a visit to the mental asylum,
I asked the director,
how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized?
Well, said the director,
we fill up a bathtub and then we offer a teaspoon,
a teacup, and a bucket to the paper.
and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.
Oh, I understand, I said.
So I guess a normal person would use the bucket
because it's bigger than the spoon of the teacup.
No, the director said a normal person would pull the plug.
You want to bed near the window?
See, what he was saying was that he didn't get it right,
so he was going to be, you understand.
