Starting point is 00:00:00 With Amex Platinum, you have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide. So your experience before takeoff is a taste of what's to come. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Blaze Radio Network. And now, Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher. It was brought to my attention that a case in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where a juror was dismissed after reporting that a woman dropped a bag of $120,000 in cash at her home and offered
Starting point is 00:00:39 her more money if she would vote to acquit seven people charged with stealing more than $40 million from a program meant to feed children during the pandemic. Now, the case itself is amazing. There's 70 defendants expected to go on trial in a conspiracy that cost taxpayers $250 million. Eighteen have pled guilty. Authorities said they recovered about $50 million in one of the nation's largest pandemic-related fraud cases, which prosecutors claim is just a fraction of money that was supposed to feed low-income kids, and the rest was spent on luxury cars, jewelry, travel, and property.
Starting point is 00:01:23 The defendants were affiliated with the restaurant that participated in the food aid program, those are still awaiting trial, including feeding our futures founder, Amy Bach, who has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing. So we'll see. I mean, the arguments, it's just incredible these people just during the pandemic. They dispersed around 200 million each, and they produced invoices for meals that were never served, ran shell companies, laundered money, indulged in passport fraud, and accepted kickbacks.
Starting point is 00:01:58 So now this particular juror said, hey, someone dropped a bag of cash off at my house, left it with my father-in-law with a message that said she'd get another bag of cash if she voted to acquit. So she turned it in. And of course, everyone, this is troubling and upsetting. And we can't have this. And we've got to ensure a fair trial. So I don't take this lightly. and we need to
Starting point is 00:02:28 go ahead and keep this jury in sequestered. So the thing with this story is, though, that it was sent to me from Jonathan, I believe, was his name. If that's wrong, I apologize,
Starting point is 00:02:45 but a listener, sent it to chewing the fat at the blaze.com. I hope that the juror actually was listening to Chewing the Fat and decided to turn in the money because you have to, I mean, as a jury, you get bribed like that or attempted bribery. You got to turn it in. Otherwise, you know, you're in trouble, especially from these dangleberries in the way this case is going. However, I would like to believe that the bag of cash was like half a million.
Starting point is 00:03:17 And she turned in 120,000 saying that, well, they told my father-in-law that there would be more cash if I voted to acquit. so she kept you know 380,000 turned in 120,000 got kicked off the jury they went ahead and let her go she's not on the jury anymore so nobody can hold her accountable
Starting point is 00:03:42 for anything and she's got a few extra bucks in the closet I hope but that having said the whole case is kind of a nightmare and they were stealing our tax dollars just for their own purposes while they were saying that we were here for feeding our future and partners in nutrition,
Starting point is 00:04:02 which were great, these small nonprofits. We're here to help people. Really, we're only here to help ourselves, but I'm hoping that the juror actually helped herself as well. Welcome! Welcome to chewing the fat. So a little bit of roundabout business news. Hertz said it's going to be.
Starting point is 00:04:30 replace its CFO with the outgoing finance chief of Spirit Airlines. Oh, that'll work out great then. No problem. I know it hurts, they kicked the head guy out because he bet on a fleet of Tesla's that nobody wanted to rent. And they were just rusting. And so the whole thing went down the tubes cost them millions of dollars. But now they're going to replace him with a guy that's coming from Spirit Airlines, the finance chief from Spirit Airlines. Isn't that airline in some kind of trouble? Ah, never mind. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:05:08 Toyota has apologized for cheating on certification tests and suspended production of three vehicle models involved. Honda has also apologized for improper tests. And Mazda has paused production. of two models over similar issues. But don't worry about it. You're safe on the road with these cars. And look, they apologized for cheating on these certification tests. So you're fine.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Don't even worry about it. How about you just move on? I'm over here editing. And I heard you. Did you just say that the financial guy from Spirit Airlines is going to hurts? That's correct. the failure of Spirit Airlines is going to the failure of Hertz.
Starting point is 00:06:05 That's correct. Didn't Hertz file for bankruptcy? Oh, I don't know if Hertz is filed for bankruptcy or not. From when, uh, when, uh, when, uh, when, uh, home, when they kicked the guy out, they lost a bunch of money. It's possible. It's possible they file for bankruptcy to make it right. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:22 On October 25th, it was reported that. Hertz filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday. Okay, so in October, in October. So this was before they, oh, that was long time. Oh, we don't even worry about that. 2021? Oh, that was, that's just doing business. Oh, that's just doing business.
Starting point is 00:06:45 So who cares? So when you file for chapter 11. Oh, they're fine. So I remember back in 2021, when I had a rental with them and they screw me of some money. and Keith too, because I have a hatred for Hertz. And I was talking to the customer service. I did become a little bit of a caring. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:03 And then I was like, and that's why you file for bankruptcy. And then it goes, what are you talking about? Oh, oh. See, that's what I mean. It's just business. Did you, did the company, did not, because I released. She doesn't know. Yeah, she's working.
Starting point is 00:07:21 She's working the phones in Panama. She has no idea. She has no idea. So you're working for a company that doesn't exist. Yeah. The company does exist. Same thing for Spirit lines. I said the same thing.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Yeah. Did you know you're going also? Yeah. So I'm a frontier now. I'm a frontier man. Well, I mean, hopefully Spirit will turn it around now that they've gotten rid of the guy that's going over to Hertz. So we can only hope and pray. And I love the fact that Toyota, Honda and Mazda, well, Mazda hasn't apologized.
Starting point is 00:07:53 They just paused production of two models. so Honda and Toyota apologized for cheating on the certification test. Mazza just said, yeah, we've paused production, but we're not apologizing for anything. Also, when you follow me on social media, you can follow me on my ex account at Jeffrey JFR. Now, I'm confused with that because as far as I know,
Starting point is 00:10:00 not safe for work content on X has always been there forever. Even when we said we were cracking down on the not safe for work communities, I was, thank you. There was porn on top of porn on X. I mean, thank you, we allowed that. We allowed that on X. He allowed William Shatner on X. That was when William set the record, though.
Starting point is 00:10:40 He doesn't hold the record anymore. Wow. I know. Sorry. But, I mean, it's just incredible. Ah, go ahead. Just let it go. Just let him finish.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Yeah, he's old. Take some time. Add. Did you have anything else to add to the X, adding, being allowed with not safe for work content or you just wanted to play that? I just wanted to play that. Just like the audience is the itch there of like, wait, he's talking about porn and we're not going to play the... I was talking about not safe for work.
Starting point is 00:11:17 Oh, that's what that means? I mean, that's what not... It's not safe for work. Doesn't have to be pornography. Oh, I'm sorry. I mean, a lot of people... A lot of people... think that it is, and most people believe that it is.
Starting point is 00:11:29 And I still saw a lot of pornography on X. But you had a VPN, right? I didn't, though. Hmm. No, I didn't. You do incognito mode? I don't. No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I know. I know. But anyway, just know that I guess. You should dial up? I was not. I was not. I know it's weird. That's weird.
Starting point is 00:11:51 So maybe someone should let Elon or what's her face? Uh, You know, what's her face? Linda Yakorino. Yaccarino or Yacarino or whatever her name is, the CEO of X. Let her know. Didn't she come from the world, the kind of microphone? Let her know that porn was still there.
Starting point is 00:12:12 And you can claim all you want that you will now allow it. It never went away. Marshall's buyers travel far and wide, hustling for great deals. on amazing gifts, so you don't have to. They've bagged this season's Italian leather handbags. Designer. Chris Cruz. Chris, where are you at today? I'm right here right in front of MOB headquarters.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I just came up after a long press briefing. And I got some sad news for you. Pirates, I believe. Pirates? Yes, pirates lovers. Tucupita Marcano was just banned Tukapito Marcano
Starting point is 00:15:09 Right Oh Tucupita Marcano That's what I said Tucopita No That's not it is Tucopita Markano
Starting point is 00:15:19 That's what I That's almost exactly What I said So close So close But I want to let you know That he has been banned From MLB
Starting point is 00:15:27 Now you were to ask me How long he's been banned for How long has he been banned for For live Jeff Fisher? Wow Tocopita Marcano has been banned from M-O-B-F-Live for life. Holy cow. The only way of the thing that gets you banned for life from Major League Baseball is gambling, right?
Starting point is 00:15:44 And that's exactly what it was. He was gambling, betting on baseball. Four others were suspended, but only for a year. He got banned for life, so... He must have made a lot of money. Yeah, that's it. That's it. He must have made a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Or he bet on the team he was playing for at the time. The 24-year-old, whom Spottrack projects, he made how much? How much do you think he made? I don't know. He was playing. He was playing for the Padres now. He probably had a $5,000, $700,000 contract, maybe more. Okay.
Starting point is 00:16:17 So he made $2.7 million. I need his manager, by the way. But, yeah, okay. So he made it with his contract. Yeah, with his contract. Okay. A career of 0.217 average. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Yeah, he's not, he was just, he's just a, you know, he's a middle of, middle of a. But here's the thing, if you guys were asking me, what other players got also been for a year? Yeah, I was, I was just going to ask you. He's just going to. He's picture, Michael Kelly. Yeah. Diamondbacks pitcher Andrew Salfranck. Yep.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Padres pitch. Did this all pictures? Gay. No, not gay. No, your boy, Tukapito Marcano. What's his name? Oh, come on, get it. You know why his name is.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Tocopita Marcano. Yeah, he was an infielder. He's not. And then Philly's infielder, Jose Rodriguez. Yeah, okay. Receive a one-year suspension from betting on other teams. But Marcano, who was playing for the Pirates at the time, I'm told you're giving me the live report from the stairway.
Starting point is 00:17:15 From the stairway. MLB. But I'm told that he was actually betting on the team he was playing for. Yes. Yes. That's what gets you banned for life in baseball. Yeah. That's a too bad.
Starting point is 00:17:25 But it never said, and I don't know that maybe this is when they reported this in the lobby of MLB. Yeah. How much he made or. lost gambling. Never gave that information. They never gave that information. But, but, Shohay Otanis.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Ah, they always got to go to Shohai. Former interpreter. A P. Misuhari was charged in April, which we talked about this. Yeah, big time. Talk about it. This, now that guy was charged in April. We stealing.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Yeah, he's a lot. 16 million from the doctor's super star. He made some money, though. He made, he made some money from that. gambling too but I mean his deal his his his uh his deal with show hey man he abused that so bad and i mean if he didn't abuse it and show hey just threw him under the bus i mean i guess you could believe that but i don't i believe the guy just used his uh his um well i mean he was the guy that spoke for show hey so i believed he just used his relationship uh and just
Starting point is 00:18:31 stole money and it took money from show hey no no question and that will be proved out obviously in a court of law but that's actually exactly what happened so he made a hundred thousand dollar bet oh yeah they bought a bet a this is our new guy this guy the um oh to cupita markano okay he made now we're talking he made a hundred thousand dollar bet on his team yes to win or lose so plays to show see that's the thing if he made a bet on he made a bet on his team he's a bet on his team to win, I say, you know, okay, go ahead and suspend him for a year with the other players. They're drawing the line at betting on your own team.
Starting point is 00:19:12 But if you're betting on your own team to win, that means you're not doing anything to hurt the team. You just want them to win. It just doesn't say because it's still. It's just broke. You just want them to. I know, well, you're right there in the lobby at MLB. Right now, I'm in the streets.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I don't know if you could hear the cars passing by here. I can. Do we have to say goodbye? Or is there more information coming? Taxi! Oh, there's a taxi coming. Sorry. They don't, the taxi cab, they don't like when you talk.
Starting point is 00:19:43 All right. Thanks, Chris, for the breaking news here on CTF. Our man on the street, Chris Cruz, letting us know that Tupacada. Tupita Marcano. Yeah, was a band for baseball today for life. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately.
Starting point is 00:20:13 Well, I see Paramount Global has reportedly reached an $8 billion deal to be acquired by Skydance Media. Now, that's the film studio owned by David Ellison, the son of Larry Ellison, Oracle's founder. Redbird Capital and KKR are partnering with. sky dance. Next comes approval from Sherry Redstone from Paramount. She is a majority owner of national amusements. She's been hot and heavy for this, so I'm pretty sure this will be okayed by her. It's only $8 billion.
Starting point is 00:20:53 That's all. So even if you were to say, I don't know, hit the lotto this week, you're probably not going to get in on this deal. So we have the Powerball and the Mega. The mega drawing is tonight, $560 million jackpot, $258.4 million cash payout. I guess you could maybe buy some stock into the new Skydance media. And then no one won Powerball last night. So tomorrow, June 5th, for those of you listening live,
Starting point is 00:21:33 today is the 4th of June 24. uh powerball jackpot is 185 million dollars with an 86.0 million cash payout so good luck good luck i see in connecticut they have an unclaimed two million dollar ticket uh still out there so if you purchased your ticket at crowzers food store and who doesn't love crowzers food store in uh Guilford. It's about 16 miles east of New Haven. You know where that's at. You should look for your tickets because there's a $2 million unclaimed ticket in Connecticut. And who wants that money to roll over? Not me. I would say you have 180-day window to pick up your ticket. And so this was purchased Oh, not long ago.
Starting point is 00:22:38 Actually, this is not long ago. You have until November. So don't even worry about it. I don't even worry about it. You're fine. So you've got until November, if you purchased tickets at Krauser's food store right there in Guilford, you still have until November to turn in your $2 million lottery ticket.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Yeah, now, speaking of finding things for money and what it's worth. You know, you've ever seen the people that magnet fish, you know, and they put magnets down in the water and they pull up stuff from the bottom of the lakes and rivers. And so there's this one couple who have, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:25 on their YouTube channel, who magnet fish. And that's what they do, the local waterways. And they apparently just reeled in a safe. and that's pretty incredible. Oh my gosh, and it's pretty heavy, so they reeled in this muddy safe
Starting point is 00:23:42 from a Queens, New York pond. And then I guess they were, it's easy enough to open the safe? I didn't, there's no picture here of the safe. I guess I could go to their YouTube channel and actually see it. I don't really want to do that though, since I'm lazy and I'm talking to you.
Starting point is 00:24:02 But they opened the safe. and in it was two stacks of $100 bills. So they got about $100,000 in this safe. And that's pretty incredible, good for them. Because most of it, I'm sure, is, you know, they found old safes before. It's nothing is empty and no actual cash. And I'm sure they have,
Starting point is 00:24:28 the owner, we want to identify who owned the safe. do you do you because I would think if you're magnet fishing finders keepers I'm out here I'm out here
Starting point is 00:24:43 in the water with my giant magnet and I'm pulling stuff up from the gunk and the goo of some ponded queens and if there's money and something
Starting point is 00:24:54 that got thrown down there oh that's mine yeah if there's a watch if it's coins jewels those are mine. Sorry about it. You don't get to claim them now. I found them in a pond in Queens. Speaking to making money, though, I see where the Minnesota Vikings, that's the National Football League team, gave Justin Jefferson their wide receiver a new contract.
Starting point is 00:25:22 And he is now the highest paid non-quarterback in the NFL. They gave him. a four-year, $140 million contract that includes $110 million guaranteed. Pretty sweet. Congratulations to Justin Jefferson and Minnesota.
Starting point is 00:25:50 That's a good deal. He becomes the eighth wide receiver in the NFL to receive a contract with a $23 million annual average per year. year because this one averages out to like, I don't know, what's that, 35 million a year? Yeah, pretty sweet. What's really sweet about it is the guaranteed money. Because no matter what happens now, he gets at least $110 million. Good for him. You know, I do think this is pretty cool. A CPAP, the continuous positive airway pressure machine
Starting point is 00:26:41 that forces air into the body via the face mask. I've kind of, you know, it's a cumbersome thing. A long time ago, I took a sleep test and they said I needed a CPAP. And then I got one and I got the wrong kind of mask and the machine. It was noisy. And it's just have a nice day.
Starting point is 00:27:03 Gone. And according to this, I mean, roughly 39 million Americans, Americans currently suffer from sleep apnea. And I know I got it. I should, I need to have a sleep. I got it. But you know what? Most people don't like it because it's cumbersome and expensive.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Yeah, that's because it is. And they are. But we have now, and there's no drug. There's no new drug that I can take to fix the problem. Well, until now, researchers at app. Named, a Massachusetts-based company, have developed a drug called AD109. Man, how old good do you feel now? AD109.
Starting point is 00:27:49 The experimental drug is a combination of aeroxibutin and atomoxedine. Adam oxidine. Yeah, that's what I said. Adam, Adam. Adam oxidine. Yeah, that's what I said. Adam oxymoxid. I got it.
Starting point is 00:28:08 That's what I said. Okay, that's used to treat ADHD. So both drugs are designed to help keep people asleep. And in tandem can reportedly keep a person's airway from collapsing during the night. So this was published in the clinical trials. gov, which I mean, I'm a fan of 100% of the time. So it was published there, and they believe that we can continue on with the clinical trials, and phase two has now begun. So, man, maybe in the future we don't have to wear that stupid mask.
Starting point is 00:28:50 And soon, my prediction will be 100% true. Federal regulators have given Amazon permission to allow it to expand its drone delivery program. in a blog post published on its website, the Seattle-based Amazon said that the FAA, the Federal Aviation Administration, has given its prime air delivery service the okay to operate drones beyond visual line of sight, which was, you know, a barrier.
Starting point is 00:29:24 That's prevented its drones from traveling a longer distance. The announcement comes a month after Amazon confirmed that it was ending prime air drone deliveries in Lockford, California. Not sure why they were ending that. The town was the company's second U.S. drone delivery site after a college station here in Texas. Amazon didn't offer any details about why it was ceasing drone delivery.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Maybe, you know, people weren't using it. It did announce that it was going to begin drone deliveries in Tulson, Arizona later this year. And the announcement comes after Alphabet's wing, received FAA exemption last December to fly its drones beyond visual line of sight. Yeah, they're flying all over. We got them flying all over in my neck of the woods. In fact, I see them, I see them, I watch them take off. My wife's taking some videos.
Starting point is 00:30:16 I have to bring them off to show those on maybe one of my chewing the fat segments during Pat. Because it's fascinating to me. It's all, they load them up and off they go. And the pilot is just a tablet. I'm not sure. I got to stop and talk to him because I'm not sure if it's the tablet and then the guy that says
Starting point is 00:30:36 go, they log in the coordinates and then the tablet, you know, is the ruler of the drone because someone's got to be there observing, right? There's got to be someone in a room observing the drone making the delivery. Doesn't there? Maybe, maybe not. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:56 But I mean, you've got drone deliveries from Walmart. You've got wing is delivering for Walgreens and DoorDash now. Amazon uses those MK27 drones, which are different than the wing drones. But we'll see. The skies are going to be dark. The skies are going to be dark with drones,
Starting point is 00:31:19 and it's going to happen sooner than you think. And you're going to have to make some money when you put in the drone delivery shoot on the roof of your house. You laugh now, but you're going to be laughing the other side of your face. Nobody's going to be, for now, when people get drone deliveries, they're outside, they're out front, they're watching it, they think it's cool.
Starting point is 00:31:38 And that's going to be lost in the shuffle soon. This is going to be, my drone's supposed to be delivering stuff, and supposed to be here in 20 minutes. I'm going to be, you know, I walk outside at 25, it better be in my yard. So that creates porch pirates, yard pirates, drone package of pirates. You don't want that. You want criminals. So you're either going to have to have them drop it off in the backyard,
Starting point is 00:32:03 which I don't, you know, I'm not sure what the logistics are for that. And so you just put it on your roof. Just have the drone delivery shoot on your roof. So when the drone flies over, pump, your address is on the shoot. There you go. Drop it in. Have a nice day. And we're done.
Starting point is 00:32:22 I'm telling you, you need to do that. You need to create that. That's a million dollar idea from me. Be a drone. Shoot delivery construction worker. Come up with a way that you can just insert the drone delivery shoot in someone's house without making it a huge remodel deal. We just, yeah, we can get you hooked up in here, no problem.
Starting point is 00:32:51 That's what I want to hear. And, you know, speaking of drones, we have drone vehicles on the road these days, too. I see where Volvo just debuted a self-duty. driving version of its heavy truck designed for long haul transport production ready vehicle certified at the fourth level of autonomous safety standards is it yes yes it is and it is out there on the roads look we've got cruise vehicles back in and on the road in dallas So the cruise General Motors self-driving car officially resumed manual driving of its vehicles in Dallas
Starting point is 00:33:33 to create maps and gather road information. The data will train cruises driverless systems and allow it to return to autonomous driving. It's called supervised autonomous driving. Meaning that that's a good gig, by the way. meaning the cars drive themselves with a human ready and able to take the wheel if necessary. All you got to do is just sit there. And when it looks like everything's engaged, you're just cruising right along, no problem.
Starting point is 00:34:05 Now remember, they were forced to suspend operations last year after one of his driverless cars dragged a pedestrian for roughly 20 feet. You know what? That's not really true. Okay, so what's true is it dragged the pedestrian. but it did what it was supposed to do. The pedestrian was hit, remember the pedestrian was hit by another car, flew in the air and fell in front of the driverless car, and the driverless car tried to get out of the way and keep driving,
Starting point is 00:34:39 and then finally came to a stop after 20 feet. Would it have been a little bit different with the human driving? Maybe, but it followed everything it was supposed to do. that wasn't the car's fault and you know whatever okay so they suspended operations and uh they California I think even recalled uh their license and uh they recalled the fleet and they laid off some executives we'll see uh we'll see uh they're you know GM wants it you know they want it bad they're saying that they wants it GM wants it bad they uh they claim that it could generate you billions of dollars a year, I'm sure, tens of billions of dollars a year.
Starting point is 00:35:24 So we'll see what happens. But if you're looking for a sweet gig, at least for now, you need to be a part of the supervised autonomous driving where you just kind of sit in the autonomous vehicle and make sure that everything is okay. It's the matcha or the three ensemble of Caj4A of the Farrant, of deniches who energize
Starting point is 00:36:03 all the ensemble. The form of small small and mini regrouped, and the embellage, too be able,
Starting point is 00:36:09 who is practically to do you know, and I know I should have these offer, but I see the summer Fridays and
Starting point is 00:36:14 Rare Beauty by Salina Gomez. I'm, I'm sure. The most ensemble of the fadow of the fendos
Starting point is 00:36:18 show show for a beauty, way, Cepora Collection and other part of VIT. Procurry
Starting point is 00:36:24 you see form of standard and for a great on different on C4 or
Starting point is 00:36:28 magazine. Okay, when I say biweekly, what do you think twice a week every other week right every other week twice a month that's what you think well every other week
Starting point is 00:36:41 because you end up being depending on the days of the week but biweekly you know obviously twice a month for sure when you can say every other week but for sure every other week or twice a month biweekly now who thinks that biweekly means twice a week.
Starting point is 00:37:01 I don't know. I was looking at the story that's the way to clear up the confusion. There's no confusion. There's absolutely no confusion. Byweekly is every two weeks.
Starting point is 00:37:15 That's the way it works. There's biweekly, every two weeks. Bimonthly would be I don't know, every other month. Biannual also would be I don't know, twice a year.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I don't understand what the confusion is. Maybe we don't teach this in schools anymore? I don't know. I don't know. I know that, you know, remember we had the big fight over Fortnite. Not long ago, it was a big fight. It was just that I really did, you know, according to the world, the Fortnite is 14 days.
Starting point is 00:37:54 I really thought it was a month. I originally I always thought a fortnight was you know about 30 days in there but it's only 14 so a fortnight is really 14 days but a fort if you have to schedule if I want to report once a fortnight that would be the same as biweekly right instead of once a month that would be the same as biweekly that's the only confusion if you were to use the word fortnight other than that there's no conversion And it just drives me crazy. I don't understand why. Maybe this is just someone who's looking to clickbait me into reading their story. And it worked. Okay, then I saw this.
Starting point is 00:38:36 And I don't know if it's true. I want to try it, though, I think, because it is really incredible if it is true. And, you know, the business genius is out there, which I am not, you know, will tell me if it's true or not. Okay. But I read this and I thought, wow. I should have been doing that. So when your kids start high school, open up an LLC for them.
Starting point is 00:39:05 You can say it's a consulting business. Open up a business bank account for them. Auto deposit $50 a week. Open up five to eight trade lines and use it for stuff around the house like cleaning supplies. When they graduate high school, they will have a four-year-old LLC with four years of history and a $512,000 account balance.
Starting point is 00:39:32 And it says here, congrats, you gave your kids the privilege you never had. That's pretty amazing if that's true. And I'm sure there's going to be some business people out there telling me, that's not true, Jeff. You won't have $512,000 in your account. You'll only have $400,000 or something. I don't know. But it sounds like a smart thing to do.
Starting point is 00:39:56 Doesn't it? It does to me. But again, that's just me. I know. I know. I know. It's just me. All right.
Starting point is 00:40:04 Let's get out of here. I'll leave you with a joke of the day today. Remember, this is a joke of the day. All right. It's not me. This is more of a thought question of the day. But it's something to think about. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:18 So if you had to choose between your significant other and $5 million, what would be the first thing you would buy? You know you got it. You know you did. Stream and subscribe to more Blaze Media content at theblaze.com slash podcasts.
