Starting point is 00:00:00 With Amex Platinum, you have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide. So your experience before takeoff is a taste of what's to come. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Blaze Radio Network. And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. So Milton, I guess it's over now. We don't have to worry about it.
Starting point is 00:00:24 Hurricane Milton is gone. It's off the coast of Florida. It's over. We don't have to worry about it anymore. made landfall last night. If you're listening live today is the 10th of October 24. So last night on the 9th at 8.30 p.m. It made landfall south of Tampa Bay near Cesta Key.
Starting point is 00:00:44 And it moved across the state all night. Moved pretty fast. In fact, it sped up across the state. And it is off into the Atlantic now. We don't have to worry about it any longer. And so we'll check in hopefully with my man in, for our boots on the ground report in a little while and see how things fared for him. I saw a lot of flooding, a lot of damage.
Starting point is 00:01:08 It's going to be extensive damage throughout the state. I know. Just terrible. I was just wondering, when does Disney World Universal Studios, Sea World, Gatorland, when do they all open back up? Because is it today? Is it tomorrow? When do they open back up?
Starting point is 00:01:26 And the Waffle houses have got to be back open. So, you know, let's get to it. And I did see if you were in the outside at any time during Hurricane Milton and you got a little dust in your eye, like, oh, oh, what's going on? Well, the hurricane hunters had some ashes from a Florida meteorologist, Peter Dodge, who died, I mean, he died back in. 2023. Very sad, but he died back in March of 2023 at the age of 73. He was an award-winning career.
Starting point is 00:02:07 He worked with the Atlantic Oceanographic and meteorological laboratory, the National Hurricane Center and Aircraft Operations Center. And so they, as they were out hunting the hurricane, the storm measurement vortex data
Starting point is 00:02:27 read Peter Dodge HXSCI, 1950-20237 or 387th to symbolically honor the weatherman's 387th and final hurricane flight. So they dump some ashes from Peter Dodge into Hurricane Milton and they wanted to pay tribute to his 44-year career. So, which is fine. You know, rest in peace, Peter, and I'm glad that we did that. But, you know, if you got a little dust in your eye, you're standing on the beach in Florida, that might have been a little bit of Peter.
Starting point is 00:03:08 And so, you know, just say a little prayer for Peter. Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. So yesterday I talked about skip lagging. And it really irked me. I've been thinking about it, the airlines, American Airlines, told jurors that the travel website behind skip lagging, the skip lagging hack is freeloading off of the airline's good name
Starting point is 00:03:41 and allowing passengers to book cheaper tickets to connecting city than abandoning the subsequent flight on the ticket. Well, you know, the airline is against it because they've already sold the ticket. So they're just mad that the person has found a better. deal than flying direct into that city. I got an email to Chewing the Fat at the Blaze.com and it says, you know, they need to create an app or a website that if you want to skip lag, sell your ticket to another passenger from that city.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Yeah, see, that's where the airlines would be new. But that's what they're pissed about. I mean, this person, Jonathan, emailed me saying, you know, if you have a flight from L.A. to Detroit to New York, but get off in Detroit, find someone that wants to go from Detroit to New York, then bam, sell you a ticket to that person. Win, win. Well, that's what the airline is pissed off about, that they're not able to do that. They even say in this story that they're trying to claim that it's a classic bait and switch,
Starting point is 00:04:44 draw customers in with the promise of secret fares and instead sell the customer, consumer, a ticket at a higher price. Well, yeah. They told juror skip lag had made over 90 million deceiving customers using Americans brand without permission. They're not deceiving customers. I log in to their website and it gives me flights that are
Starting point is 00:05:07 cheap with multiple stops and then I could get off at this particular at another stop where there's a layover. I just don't get back on. And the airlines are pissed because they are saying that
Starting point is 00:05:23 that's a seat that now is unsold. That's not true. The seat isn't on sold it's already been sold uh it's just you have it's not sold again uh you know you're thinking to yourself well that person told us that they were going to get off in detroit uh then we could have sold that ticket to someone in detroit we could have done exactly what you're thinking that the uh ticket holder should do that's you know that's an issue that probably uh is not a good thing for the airlines to have um you know passengers selling their tickets to other people uh but
Starting point is 00:05:59 Especially in today's security-driven world. I understand what you're saying, but there's no way they're ever going to allow that. But they would allow, you know, they're pissed that the airlines are mad because they are losing all this money. You know, they're not really losing all this money. The ticket is already sold. They're just mad that you didn't pay the higher price for the direct flight and that you're not, that there's an empty seat on the plane going to the next city that they weren't able to sell. But they already sold it.
Starting point is 00:06:29 I don't understand what the real problem is. The real problem is, is the airlines are thinking they're getting scammed out of selling another seat on their plane. When they're really not. Anyway, it's just the skip lagging thing is really, really bugging me. And the American is seeking over $94 million in damages on this case. No? No.
Starting point is 00:06:59 I guess there's been other airlines United has gone after skip lagged and logistical and public safety concerns. Okay. What would that be? What would be the safety concerns? Oh, look, the person who was in seat 1A is not there for the remainder of the flight. That seat is empty. Man, I wonder what happened.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Well, it's not up to us to worry about that. let's go on to the next city i don't that's just no airlines no you don't get to claim that but in today's world they probably well they are and we'll see if they actually can get away with it well today's the day for uh tesla it's a robotaxy day robotaxy reveal day uh you know for the last decade elan has talked about the potential of robotaxies and uh you know these self-driving self-funding optimus taxis, I guess, that could transform the economics of Tesla. Now the grand reveal is supposed to be here.
Starting point is 00:08:05 You know, they're going to have it at Warner Brothers Discovery Movie Studio in Burbank, California. Yay! So if you're out in California, the door is open at 5 p.m. Pacific time. And the remarks will begin at 7 p.m. Pacific time. And so I guess it's going to be live stream. stream the we robot event is going to be streamed on X.
Starting point is 00:08:30 So, you know, he teased this back in April saying it was going to come in August. And then, ooh, yeah, we got to postpone that. We've got a design change to the front that we need to concern ourselves with. So we're not going to launch it right now. So no word whether it's going to be up on their YouTube page or whatever. I mean, Tesla was at one time worth one. point two trillion dollars today it's closer to about 770 billion um so we'll see uh if the robotaxies actually actually uh do what they're supposed to do it will uh enhance the worth of tesla so will the robot
Starting point is 00:09:13 i mean optimist will i mean i'm going to name it name it do we but uh i want a robot bad if it will do it so we'll see today on the live stream of Wii robot. Plus the self-driving taxis they've been here. I mean you have the Waymo and the crews and a couple other companies I hadn't
Starting point is 00:09:36 heard of. Zooks. Apple has got some self-driving cars, Neuro, Mercedes, Ghost Autonomy, We Ride Corporation, Motional AD Inc. And Apollo. They're all driverless car companies. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:09:52 But Waymo crews are the two big ones, and they've been testing a lot. They've tested a bunch with autonomous, with no one in them, and they've tested a huge amount with a driver to see how it works out. And, you know, the one problem we've talked about before was the accident where the car ran over the body. Well, the body was thrown in front of the autonomous vehicle after it got hit by another car driven by a person. And so the car did what it was supposed to do. It hit something, ran over something, and then pulled over and stopped. So it's kind of a, you know, the car didn't, the autonomous vehicle didn't run over a human. Anyway, and so there's still out there.
Starting point is 00:10:38 We'll see if, we'll see if this works out. I'm interested to see the Wii robot presentation. So not only have we had two big storms come in, we had Helene and then Milton now we're dealing with that. I know that we're dealing with wildfires around the country. Yes, it's still wildfire season. I saw someone post, nobody's talking about the wildfires. Yeah, there's a few other bigger issues we have. And it's wildfire season and they're being fought.
Starting point is 00:14:53 And we can break down. I mean, there is an amazing amount of wildfires. But most of them, I believe, not all I know are. you know, small. And the one post I saw was about Wyoming. And I'm like, you got like five people living in Wyoming. There's a fire over there. That's okay. You're fine. Anyway, the severe geomagnetic storm is set to hit the earth
Starting point is 00:15:14 today. Wait, what? What does that mean? Well, the severe geomagnetic storm is apparently poised to send the northern lights across the continental United States. Oh, with the aurora's potentially visible across much of the northern U.S.
Starting point is 00:15:35 And as far south as Alabama and west as California. So earlier this week, the sun emitted a solar flare. Wait, what? The sun did what the sun does? Yes. It rapidly prompting this coronal mass ejection, a large burst of plasma and electric waves. Yeah, that's what it is.
Starting point is 00:15:57 And the agency predicts that the storm is potentially hitting the earth as early as this morning or midday, uh, considered to be severe and four out of five on Noah's geomagnetic storm scale. Okay, so, well, what does that mean for us?
Starting point is 00:16:13 Are we going to lose anything? Are they going to, is it going to fry anything? I don't think detrimental impacts to some of our critical infrastructure technology are possible. Okay, well, that's not good. Uh,
Starting point is 00:16:24 let's see if, I, I will say, I'm, I am opposed to detrimental impacts, to our critical infrastructure technology. I don't want to think that happen to that. While unlikely the department, oh, see, okay.
Starting point is 00:16:40 While unlikely the department cautioned the satellites could show increased inconsistencies and that more and more longer periods in reduction of GPS may also occur. So if you're out there driving and you know it's telling you to make it right and you're not supposed to, it's because of the geomagnetical storm. So just look up to the sky and you'll see the stunning lights and you'll know that your GPS is screwed up because of that, because of the coronal mass ejection from the sun. Usually you like the coronal mass ejections,
Starting point is 00:17:17 but not the ones from the sun. Not the ones from the sun. All right, let's go to the break room. I need something cold to drink desperately. So we have, well, it's not breaking news, but it's just in, if it was breaking news, our man on the street, Chris Cruz would be here for it. But this is just new news. The Met Gala has announced the Coleman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, ASAP Rocky, as with a dollar sign, Farrell Williams, and Anna Wendomino. will co-chair the 2025 Met Gala,
Starting point is 00:18:06 alongside Honorary Chair LeBron James. As a side note on LeBron James, before we get back to break away from the Met Gala for a moment, I saw where LeBron had posted on his ex-account. Can someone please explain to me why we're getting on a plain emoji and heading to Milwaukee for one preseason game? and my man Greg, who I started following, who is hilarious. Hey, LeBron, it's Greg.
Starting point is 00:18:39 The reason for this is because if you were to drive there, it would take over 29 hours. So I'm guessing your coaches thought it would be more efficient to fly. Hope this helps. And then he posted the screenshot with, I had to give LeBron James a geography lesson today. hilarious. So really, really funny. I guess LeBron didn't want to go to Milwaukee, and I don't necessarily blame him. So back to the Matt Gala, which happens, I believe, the first Monday of May, right?
Starting point is 00:19:15 The first, whatever day that falls on. So it's May 5th this year. And the honorary chair is LeBron James. And man, I just, I can't wait for that. So along with that. So their theme this year for the, the 2025 Met Gala is super fine, tailoring black style, drawing inspirations from Monica L. Miller's 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion, Black Dandyism, and the styling of black dysphoric identity. Yeah, man, I'm looking forward to that. So the exhibit will feature garments, paintings, photographs, and more,
Starting point is 00:19:58 all exploring the indebtable style of black men in the context of dandyism from the 18th century through present day. So, man, that's something to look forward to seeing all those guys. The Matt Gala there is called Super Fine, the 2025 Matt Gala. super fine tailoring black style i don't know if taylor swift is going to be there probably you know she's the latest uh she's the world's richest female musician so it'd be a get to make sure that taylor is there wouldn't be surprised to have taylor and Travis show up for this particular event uh yeah you know what i'm gonna i'm gonna say that that's a ctf fact that Taylor and Travis will show up to the Met Gala.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Yes, that's going to happen. Congratulations to Taylor, though. I mean, you know, becoming the richest female musician. Yeah, congratulations to you. Worth $1.6 billion now out in front of Rihanna, who I believe is now number two. I don't know how Rihanna is going to get by at $1.4 billion, but I'm sure she'll try to manage. And then I don't know, maybe they'll all be drinking Mountain Dew because I see where Mountain Dew, because I see where Mountain Dew is going to bring back its full name
Starting point is 00:21:23 and kind of go back to the retro brand. Does that get people drinking Mountain Dew? I don't know, maybe. The Mountain Dew has announced that it's reclaiming the mountain with a new logo and visual identity. The new but vintage look will be the first logo update since 2009 and it'll be used for packaging, equipment, advertisements, and more. Customers will start seeing the rollout in store.
Starting point is 00:21:48 as early as next summer. So we're not even going to get ads yet until then. The brand is calling its new look a fresh take on the Mountain Dew Legacy, which hopes will connect fans with the yellow green sodas long and storied history. The brand's new identity was created by the PepsiCo Design and Innovation Team.
Starting point is 00:22:11 I love them, which also redesigned the logo for their flagship beverage, Pepsi, in 2023, which meant a lot to me because I was like, wow, is that a new logo? So Mountain Dew has gone through six logos over the past 76 years with the first reflecting its southern moonshine adjacent roots. Over time, the curvy nature of the original logo gave way to the more electric and sharp look on subsequent updates, at least until now. And now we're going to go to the vintage travel posters of Mountain Dew
Starting point is 00:22:44 with their new logo and bring down. back the mountains. That's great. What do they call it? The team, the advertising team. All got together and said, hey, we are the PepsiCo design and innovation team. We need to redesign this and we need to, you know, pretend like we're doing our job. So let's have a fresh take on the Mountain Dew legacy. And it worked. And it worked. And perhaps here's an idea for, I'm just throwing it out there, Mountain Dew. Maybe have it be one of the sponsors of the Med Gala, because to have, you know, you could have all the stars
Starting point is 00:23:25 walk in with Mountain Dew. Coleman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, ASAP, Rocky, S with the Dollar, insignia, Farrell Williams, Anandwinter, LeBron James, they could all walk in with their Taylor Swift, Travis, Kelsey, they could all walk in with their Mountain Dew. And they could all be showing off the new take on the Mountain Dew Legacy. Marshall's buyers travel far and wide, hustling for great deals on amazing gifts. So you don't have to.
Starting point is 00:24:14 They've bagged this season's Italian leather handbags. Designer. Handpicked the finest sweaters from the rest. Ooh, cashmere. Landed makeup pallets from the brands you love. Rushes, too. And hustled all those wishless topping twas. boys so plush.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Our buyers have got you covered. Marshals, we get the deals. You gift the good stuff. Who died today? Who died today? Well, let's tell you about Kenny Johnson. Kenny Johnson dead at the age of 62. Now, Kenny was a Rockdale County
Starting point is 00:24:52 soil and water conservation district supervisor. And he had testified alongside business owners and leaders about the bio lab chemical fire just outside of Atlanta which spewed clouds of hazardous chlorine gas and smoke throughout the area
Starting point is 00:25:11 and then he just suddenly collapsed near the state capital during a public meeting on the toxic chemical plants inferno outside of Atlanta so the official cause of death
Starting point is 00:25:28 obviously will be determined once an autopsy is completed. And I wonder what the official cause of death will be. Oh, it was a heart condition. He was going to drop over no matter what. It had absolutely nothing to do with the chemical plant fire that happened. So we're going to just go and let that go. And we're going to continue on with our chemical plant right here outside of Atlanta.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Okay. Don't worry about that. Hazardous chlorine. gas and smoke. They're fine. It's already in the air. It's fine. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:26:03 Yeah, sure, we evacuated. You know, that whole area. But that was just a precaution out of an abundance of caution. It's not funny at all, man. Rest in peace. Kenny Johnson. Dead at the age of 62. What killed him?
Starting point is 00:26:24 We don't know yet. Okay, a couple of stories. that are hard for me to believe. Many of you have sent me the story about the Indian man, you know, the man from India, who has apparently been found in a cave. And they're alleging that he's 188 years old. And there's a short video.
Starting point is 00:26:48 It's like a 24-second video of this man, you know, walking over rocks. With a stick for a cave. And sure, does he look like an old guy? Yes. Does it possible that he's 188 years old and have been living in this cave? No, I don't believe it. The more you watch it, they've got him taped up and whatever kind of weird kind of legging things he's wearing. But his feet do now look like they're 188 years old. But is it possible? Sure. Probable? No. Sorry, I don't believe it. Then we have a story out of England, and I didn't know that grocery stores in the United Kingdom kept their produce up on shelves. But this lady claims that she was knocked unconscious after a discounted cauliflower fell on her head.
Starting point is 00:27:48 So she claims that she was browsing a discount rack at this weight rose grocery store. when the vegetable hit the back of her head. Suddenly a really large and heavy item fell down on the top of my head and I hit my head. I fell and when I woke up I was suffering from a concussion and was knocked out. Now, cauliflower, they tell you in the story, cauliflowers tend to weigh around two pounds. And my, I guess that's her name, M-A-I, says that the brassica fell between four and six feet before hitting her head.
Starting point is 00:28:29 They don't normally keep cauliflower up that high. I guess that's what they do in the United Kingdom, if that's true. She told the son that she was still experiencing a variety of symptoms. Yeah, I bet she was from neck pain to anxiety and that the incident has had a damaging impact on her health. Has it? Has it? she said she is considering legal action against the chain what oh color me shocked i don't believe it i was very unwell and i'm still suffering and unable to work i don't know how the cauliflower fell but they
Starting point is 00:29:11 should not store heavy roundish items like that on the top shelf i'll give you that they shouldn't be doing that i don't know why they would and in fact i can't tell you a grocery store that i've ever been to that has had cauliflower up high like that and do they usually have have them eye level it would be the highest
Starting point is 00:29:37 that you would keep something like that and that would be a stretch eye level and oh I wonder if she's two feet tall Jeff yeah that would still be you know just a little bit maybe head level for that I don't see it falling six feet and it
Starting point is 00:29:53 somewhat on the head. Uh, no. It's very hard for me to believe. Very. And here we go again. Uh, a major meatbacker now, Bruce Pack, uh, company based in Durant, Oklahoma, which is beautiful, uh, this time of year. Brand names include Urban Bruce and City Grillers. Set its recalling 9,986,000, 2245 pounds of.
Starting point is 00:30:23 of ready-to-eat products that were produced from June 19th of this year until October 8th, just a couple of days ago. According to the Department of Agriculture's Food and Safety and Inspection Service, yeah, these products were shipped to other establishments and distributors nationwide and then distributed to restaurants and institutions, and the USDA said it discovered an issue after conducting routine testing of poultry products. The testing came back positive for a Listeria, a species of bacteria that causes infection and could lead to death in severe cases.
Starting point is 00:31:01 So the food regulators investigated the matter further and found that the bacteria was found in the ready-to-eat chicken. And so there's no confirmed reports of Listeria infections caused as a result of consuming the Bruce Pack produced meat. But, of course, out of an abundance of caution, we're going to get these products. that's recalled. And you could obviously throw them away, return them to the fourth place of purchase for a refund. Or now you can go into any restaurant or grocery store and say, hey, I brought some of your Bruce Pack chicken breasts.
Starting point is 00:31:41 And they had to throw them away because they got hysteria. So you want to give me some store credit? 10 million pounds of these Chipotle chicken breasts, chicken breast, chicken burger. And gourmet beef patties. Oh, there's some gourmet beef patties, too, the organic ones. He doesn't mention those, though. It just talked about the poultry products.
Starting point is 00:32:01 So you're probably fine with the gourmet beef patties. Probably. But, you know, be careful. Because you don't know about those damn Bruce Pack produced meat products until they tell us, hey, everything is fine now, and we've hosed everything down. And you don't have to worry about possibly, possibly. becoming, you know, sick from hysteria.
Starting point is 00:32:27 And in a story that has nothing to do with Bruce Pack, just know that today, if you're listening live, the 10th of October, 2024, McDonald's is introducing the chicken Big Mac to its repertoire. So you can run out to your local McDonald's, I guess, and order yourself one of their new chicken. Big Macs. Yay!
Starting point is 00:33:10 Boarding for flight 246 to Toronto is delayed 50 minutes. Ugh, what? Sounds like Ojo time. Play Ojo? Great idea. Feel the fun with all the latest slots in live casino games and with no wagering requirements. What you win is yours to keep.

Please play responsibly. or that if someone close to you, call 18665331-2-6-0 or visit comics, Ontario.ca. So what else do we have going on in the world? Let's see. We've got the Major League Baseball Division Series still ongoing. So who do we have left? We've got the Tigers, the Guardians,
Starting point is 00:33:54 the Royals, the Yankees, the Mets and the Phillies, the Padres, and the Dodgers. That's who's left in the Division Series as we get on our way to the... the league championships series and then the World Series. So we have that going on. The NHL just started, the National Hockey League. And we had the first full-time female assistant coach in the play in the box with the coaches and the players this year. Congratulations to Jessica Campbell, Seattle Creckons, Jessica Campbell.
Starting point is 00:34:30 She is the NHL's first full-time female assistant. coach. We still have college football. We still have the NFL football, smack dab in the middle of their seasons. And we have the WNBA finals beginning. They begin tonight. That's right. And who cares? The numbers have been really bad. We'll see if they actually tick up a little bit for the finals, but I doubt it. But we do have the WNBA finals that begin tonight. And we found out that Raphael Nadal. Rafael Nadal is going to retire. And if you ask yourself, Rafael
Starting point is 00:35:07 Nadal, who is Raphael Madal? Well, he's a big time tennis star, professional tennis star, and from Spain. And he's been around for a long time. I mean, he's won so many. You know what I mean? He's called the King of Clay.
Starting point is 00:35:23 He's won the French Open singles title 14 times. Wow. He's won 112 of his 16 grand slam matches. He's won the French Open, a record number of times, the Australian Open, Wimbledon, a couple of times. He's U.S. Open. One Beijing Olympic Gold in 2008. Besides the 2016, Rio Olympic Gold and men's doubles.
Starting point is 00:35:50 And then, so Raphael's done okay for himself. But he said he has not been able to play for quite a while now without limitations, is what he said. So he's getting older and it's been difficult and he doesn't. like it. And the last couple years, I can't do it anymore. I'm going to play my last professional match at the end of the ongoing season. And then I'm going to retire.
Starting point is 00:36:14 The reality is there's been some difficult years, these last two especially. And he posted, I don't know, four, four and a half minute video saying his goodbyes in whatever language he speaks. Jeff, you said he was from Spain. Yeah, okay. So whatever language they speak in Spain,
Starting point is 00:36:37 that's what he was speaking in. So he's going to retire. And we won't see Raphael anymore after this season. That's too bad. That's too bad. And so before we get out of here, I want to check in. Now let's see if we can get a hold of my man,
Starting point is 00:36:50 Chuck Palm, and see how he weathered the storm, Milton in Tampa. Well, well, well. Thanks for picking. I appreciate it. So you weathered the storm. I mean, it's gone now.
Starting point is 00:37:14 It's over. It's a beautiful day in Florida. The hurricane's gone. It takes everything with it, so it's a beautiful day outside in Florida. Not for those that are still underwater. Not for those that are still struggling without a home. But it's a beautiful day weather-wise in Florida. So how did you weather the storm?
Starting point is 00:37:32 You're just 68 degrees outside right now with the sun shining, just enough to recharge my solar panels on my batteries because I've got no power still. But I let it the storm amazingly well. You don't have any power? You're in the heart of Tampa. You have no power. What about water? Still running. Hillsborough County notified us
Starting point is 00:37:52 that if we get low pressure water to go ahead and boil, but it wasn't mandatory yet. There's still plenty of pressure. Power's out on probably 80% of Hillsborough County at the moment. And a lot of down power lines trees to snap to like nothing. Over three million people are without power
Starting point is 00:38:08 in Florida. So are you able to have you tried to did you get in the boat and you know float around and see what's happening or you just now leave well i had my canoe uh strapped to the house last night uh no i'm i'm about 30 miles from the water and uh you're not that far from the water you're not 30 miles away from the flood zone sir from the flood zone we we have canals that are within five 10 miles but they're not you know generally raising up 10 12 feet like the bay did uh we were we were high and dry, except I have a lake in my backyard for the first time in 30 years. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:38:44 I've never seen standing water like this because, I mean, it's saturated. We've had two, almost three weeks of solid rain, and it's got nowhere to go. You know, everything is, the runoff is incredibly slow at the moment because of all the saturation. Does you have any wind damage, no, anything like that? Small little bit here, the front porch. Oh, okay. Can you go outside and find us someone that had some damage and, so? that it was really struggling so that we can find out what actually happened in the storm.
Starting point is 00:39:14 All, you had one job, you had one job. We had to move a lot of trees, but we haven't actually left the property. I had one job. I wanted some damage. I wanted some wind. I wanted some rain, and I got none of it. I see pictures on the television, you know, other programs showing me destruction and flooding and residents being rescued.
Starting point is 00:39:33 I'm sorry, have you checked your messages? I sent video in the midst of the storm. I've had... No, you did not. It's on X. I know it was able to get out, at least before we, you know, lost all the power. No, you didn't still work. That's a nice little, that's a nice little thing to throw out there.
Starting point is 00:39:50 Well, I sent it to you. I sent it to you because, no, you didn't. But okay, that's fine. All right. Well, you know. The damage we had was so minimal. It was just one of the porch columns got knocked down and we had a bunch of trees. So you did have some damage.
Starting point is 00:40:06 I'm telling you. Yeah, it was not. Oh, sun and roses all day all night. That's what you got to come to the table with. It was a very safe. Oh, I've got a little puddle of water in the backyard for the first time in 30 years. Never see that before. Other than that, we're fine. I'm not even boiling water yet. It's fine. They haven't even turned that off yet. Sure, the rest of the state is on fire and burning and tornadoes.
Starting point is 00:40:33 We're fine. I mean, there's something like 180 tornadoes in one night. And we had about 90-mile-an-hour winds in my front yard. I've never seen it like this. This was probably the most terrifying storm in the 38 years I've been in Florida. That's what I'm talking about. That's the report I want. Yes, sir. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:40:56 I mean, I'm happy. I'm saying the aftermath for us was great. I mean, there's people around me that, you know, they've got trees in their house. People's cars caught on fire. We still have flooding. You know, the doom and gloom is out there if you're really looking for it. Yes, I am. Yes, that's what I'm looking for.
Starting point is 00:41:16 I want you in your canoe, paddling along going, hey, look, there's Charlie, barely alive. I want that. All right, all right. If you insist. Wow. I mean, I'm glad you guys are safe. Boy, happy. Thanks, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:31 I mean that from the bottom of my heart. All right, thanks, Chuck. I appreciate it. I am glad you're okay. Okay, thank you. And the storm's gone now. Good talking to you. You know, we'll all see the, I mean, there's going to be some serious damage, extensive damage.
Starting point is 00:41:46 A lot of time to repair. We're going to, yeah, we'll all be at it for a while. Yes, no kidding. All right, thanks. I appreciate it, Chuck. Thanks, brother. See you soon. Chuck Paul.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Man on the street. Boots on the ground in the storm. Heart of the storm. Nope, fine here. A little wind down front. A little water padding in the backyard. That's it, though. I'm fine.
Starting point is 00:42:08 I will say the damage is going to be horrific. And so if you need help or you know someone who needs help, get a hold of Mercury 1. Mercury 1.org. Once you have power and cell service or whatever you can do to get help from the shelters, Mercury 1 will be on the ground and I'm sure is on the ground already helping. I know Ron DeSantis is on it, your state governor, but for sure Mercury 1. will be there to help. And hell, we might as well use Chuck Palm's house for a staging ground.
Starting point is 00:42:43 That sounds like that's the bunker of the state. Stream and subscribe to more Blaze Media content at theblaze.com slash podcasts.
