Starting point is 00:01:04 You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show. We'll start with the big story, but I want to talk about that. I want to go into, we're going to go in-depth next hour and get your thoughts and see exactly how you feel. Wow, was there a lot of emotion yesterday over this headline? I'll read you the headline And then I'll read a little bit to you But we'll go into depth next hour Because it is absolutely
Starting point is 00:01:34 Amazing to me Okay The headline says Actually it doesn't say it reads Cruz makes it official endorses former rival Trump That's the headline In a lengthy Facebook post
Starting point is 00:01:54 Friday afternoon And Cruz said that he will cast his vote in November for Trump after many months of careful consideration of prayer and searching his own conscience. I've made this decision for two reasons. First, last year I promised to support the Republican nominee that I intend to keep my word. Second, even though I have had areas of significant disagreement with our nominee. And I would, no, I'm not going to comment. I'm just reading you what he said. Even though I've had areas of significant disagreement with our nominee, by any measure, Hillary Clinton is wholly unacceptable.
Starting point is 00:02:33 That's why I have always been, never Hillary. The Texas Senator continued to lay out six key policy differences that informed his decision to eventually vote for the man he once referred to as utterly amoral and a pathological liar. These policy issues included the Supreme Court, National Security, the Affordable Care Act, Immigration, Energy, and Internet Freedom. Now, did he endorse Donald Trump? Well, in a sense, yeah, he did. Although he didn't say I endorse Donald Trump and I am a Trumpster and Donald Trump is the man, he did say that he would cast his vote for Donald Trump. which I am absolutely amazed.
Starting point is 00:03:35 I didn't think he would do it. I didn't think he would do it. So if you have some comments about that, next hour, 888-903-33, I'll take your comments. We'll read some of the Facebook posts, some of the tweets, amazing. We'll talk to Steve Dase, who was, you know, one of the biggest anti-Trump guys and pro-cruz guys. It's been almost 24 hours that we've had the news. And we'll see how Steve is, you know, digesting the news. I'm guessing, just guessing, that yesterday he didn't, hadn't even eaten it.
Starting point is 00:04:19 He was sick. So we'll see if he's actually put some down today and felt a little bit better. We'll read the entire Facebook post from Senator Cruz. and let you know exactly, you know, what he had to say and how he feels. And I can tell you that I, man, I didn't think he'd do it. I didn't think he should do it. I think it's a mistake. But hey, that's just me.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Now, of course, we have the Donald Trump Hillary Clinton debate coming up Monday, the first one. I've got to tell you, the only reason I'm looking forward to it is it's kind of like, you know how you watch traffic go by and you think, man, if there was an accident right now, I'd just sit here and watch the accident. That's kind of where I'm at. It's kind of a boxing match. You watch the boxing match, ensure there's skill. And sure you want to see dancing around. and sure you want to see both boxers, you know, throw a couple of punches and, you know, get themselves straightened out. But really, you're waiting for one boxer just to smash the other boxer.
Starting point is 00:05:41 And that's what I'm waiting to see. I want to see if one can do it. I got to tell you, I don't know if there's going to be any boxing smashes with each other. I don't know if the gloves will come off. I don't know if we'll leave the gloves on. the most important thing is this debate Monday is going to be divided into six segments, about 15 minutes each on major topics, selected by NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt. I think Lester is going to surprise people.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I think he's going to take the bull by the horns this bad boy. It's going to be at Hofster University in New York. It was supposed to be in Ohio, but Wright State University said, You know what? This is going to cost us too much money. Have a nice day. We can't do this. So Hofstra said, now we got it. Now, the moderator, Lester Holt, will open up each segment with a question and each candidate gets two minutes to respond. The candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. And of course, Lester will use the balance of the time of the segment for deeper discussion on the topic. Most importantly, there are no commercial breaks scheduled. Scheduled.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Okay? So maybe they put in an emergency cough light commercial light button on the podium. So if a candidate is starting to feel they need a break, they push that button, and NBC goes, this is NBC News, and they go to a break. And they go to a promo. or they show the camera outside and say, this is what's going out of New York now. And they break away from the stage.
Starting point is 00:07:33 I don't know. But one thing that Trump is good at, he'll get enough rest, he'll be up there, and he'll be standing strong. He proved that. He's proven that. Hillary, not so much. She needs to come through with flying colors
Starting point is 00:07:54 and look like she's ready to go another 12. rounds when it's over. Because if she gets, I mean, any kind of woozy, any kind of coughing attack, anything, it's over for her.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Trump will, I mean, the only saving grace is this could be where Al Gore steps in. Right? If she goes down, if she's woozy, you know, if we hear Donald Trump go, you don't look so good, we need to get you a chair and goes and gets her a chair or something to sit down on?
Starting point is 00:08:40 Ha! Which would be fantastic to watch. I don't wish any bad madness on Hillary. I don't want her to be sick. I don't want her to be any of that. But she is. I think we all know that. After that little 9-11 attack where they carried her into the van, wow.
Starting point is 00:09:02 That is not good. Okay. And I really am still confused at why she wants to be president if she's sick. I have personally dealt with an elderly and other elderly human beings in my life, aside from myself. And I know that look. And I know that I can't walk look. And I know that I'm going to need to help and almost carry.
Starting point is 00:09:38 look and feeling. And she had it at the 9-11 fall, let alone watching some of the other pictures that have come out as they're, you know, walking up the stairs. The one shot was they're walking up the stairs and everybody is watching her feet go on the stairs. Now that, you know, they're supposed to take care of her. I got it. But nobody wants her trip and fall. But most of the time, if a human is considered healthy, going up a. you know, a small flight of stairs doesn't get the full-on attention of everyone looking at your feet to climb the stairs.
Starting point is 00:10:18 That comes from people who are used to seeing that human being have trouble with stairs. And I am well aware of that situation. So I hope they have her all IVed up, all throat lozaged up. And they ought to have an IV with water in one arm and an IV. with throat lozenge anti-coff syrup in the other and just have her ballooned up with that juice. And then put her in a NASCAR suit so that she can, she doesn't have to go to the bathroom. None of it. So she can just stand there and look strong.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Because man, oh man, one wobble. I mean, I know that most of you believe that cancels wobble and don't fall down, but if cancles wobbles at all on this debate it could be over that's devastating for her devastating so it'll be fun to watch i am i am looking forward to it i'm not necessarily looking forward to hearing what they have to say oh dear lord do i not care what they say i do kind of care what they say i don't want to hear it really because they both are leading us down past i don't want to go down so we'll see i mean monday's the big When you have the, you know, in October 4th, you've got the vice presidential debate,
Starting point is 00:11:56 and then you've got two or three other debates scheduled in October. But if she, if cancels wobbles and falls down on this coming Monday, by October 9th, Donald Trump made debating Al Gore. He may step in Al and say, Al, we need you and you're going to be running for president. You're going to step in. Al would put up a fight. Although now people are probably will say,
Starting point is 00:12:30 Jeff, it's not going to be Al Gore. It's going to be Joe Biden. Okay. Okay. Whatever you think. But somebody, one of those two guys, are going to step in. It's not going to be Elizabeth Warren. It's got to be somebody that's known, strong, and can stand up to Donald Trump.
Starting point is 00:12:50 And those two men, Al Gore and Joe Biden, are the two that can do it. And it might be too late because Donald will be able to play that off as. Nice to see the second team showing up tonight. He is going to drive these guys. I'm telling you. Just you can quote me, if cancels even wobbles, let alone falls. On Monday night, it is over. You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show, the Blaze Radio Network.
