Starting point is 00:00:33 So, anyway, look for that on Monday afternoons as well, talking, walking dead on the Blaze Radio Network. Now, I was all ready to take this quiz. I-sidewith.com. And it's the 2016 presidential election. How do your beliefs align with potential candidates? take the quiz. I really do not know how long this quiz is,
Starting point is 00:01:01 but we should take it together and see where we're at. But I've got Matt in Indiana holding, so let's talk to Matt, and then we'll see if Matt's taking the quiz. Matt, welcome to the broadcast. All right, Jeff, how are you doing? Oh, so good, so good. So good. I have taken that very quiz you're talking about.
Starting point is 00:01:26 And I was like 90-some percent Ted Cruz, which is the guy I support. There you go. I was happy. My dad supports Ted Cruz and he got Donald Trump. He's pretty mad. But I had to tell him, I was like, well, you know, if Donald Trump did have the stuff he said, he might actually be halfway to conservative. So he's a liar, you know.
Starting point is 00:01:49 But that's what I wanted to talk about is Donald Trump, because it's funny that this national. inquire, you know, they hit Ben Carson, they hit Rubio, they hit Cruz, they're pretty much, they're pretty much identical twins to the mouth of Donald Trump. They just spew out filth as Donald Trump's enemies. But Donald Trump is the one who wants to get rid of the libel laws, not, or open up the liable laws in the First Amendment, not going after people for telling a lie, but to go after people that might say nasty thing.
Starting point is 00:02:28 That's correct. And when you're around him, his mouth is like a child's swimming pool. It's full of filth. And you don't want to be around it. And so I just think it's funny that, you know, even if he has nothing to do with this, if he really believes that, he should be like, you know, that's why I want to open up the liable laws. But he doesn't.
Starting point is 00:02:48 He just, it's kind of like what you said earlier in the show. He got his. Screw the west's rest of you. Well, that's the way he is. He's going to get his screw the rest of us. That's right. That's why he's been his whole life. That's absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:03:04 That's absolutely right. That's all I wanted to say. Thank you, Matt. I appreciate it. And don't forget, you know, Mr. National Inquirer, my brain is shot today. Just today, Jeff? Yes. The Mr. National Inquirer, you haven't dropped our buds.
Starting point is 00:03:22 I know. I know it's just a coincidence. I got it. Okay, it's just a coincidence. All right, I sidewith.com. All right, look, I should ask Matt how many questions it was. Oh, my gosh. Could be a thousand.
Starting point is 00:03:35 We could be in trouble here if it's a thousand questions. Let's scroll down here real quick. It doesn't look too bad. All right, let's take it together. See who we're with. What is your stance on abortion? Pro-life, pro-choice, other stances. Life.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Do you support the legalization of same-sex marriage? Oh, well, yeah. I mean, who cares? If they... Look, what they... I'm going to say yes, because same-sex marriage, I do. It's fine. But they shouldn't...
Starting point is 00:04:18 I'm just going to say this. Should the government continue to fund Planned Parenthood? No. And they only fund them. They give them a little bit of money, and that money should stop. But hey, whatever. Should the government increase environmental regulations
Starting point is 00:04:33 to prevent global warming? I mean, everybody knows the earth is bad, right? Should national parks be preserved and protected by the federal government? See, again, there's so many fine lines in here. I mean, obviously, yes, but there are other ways to do it. Should producers be required to label genetically engineer foods, GMOs? Well, I mean, they already have to.
Starting point is 00:05:12 They have to tell you what's in the food, right? Should physically and mentally capable adults on welfare be required to work? Well, if they, yes, they should be required to work if there's a job and there's a place to work. You know, they wouldn't be on welfare. They could get a job. Should the employers be required to pay men and women the same salary for the same job? They do. They are.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Should all the welfare recipients be tested for drugs? That's up to the states. I mean, why? Up to the states. Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun? I mean, more. What do they do? Probe you? Should people on the no-fly list be banned from purchasing guns and ammunition?
Starting point is 00:06:15 Well, again, this is so many qualifiers in these questions. Should there be term limits set for members of Congress? Do you support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act? Should the federal government require children to be vaccinated for preventable diseases. See, this is, you support the legalization of marijuana? Should a photo ID be required to vote? Should prisons ban the use of solitary confinement for juveniles? Should the U.S. accept refugees from Syria? See, here's some more qualifiers, because obviously, yes, we should accept refugees, not just all of them, and not just Muslim. Should foreign terrorism suspects be given constitutional
Starting point is 00:07:15 rights? Oh, yeah, no. Should the government decrease military spending? Do you support increasing taxes for the rich in order to reduce interest rates for student law? Come on. How long is this stupid thing? Do you support Common Core National Standards? Should illegal immigrants have access to government subsidize health care? Should Muslim immigrants be banned from entering the country until the government improves its ability to screen out potential terrorists? to the U.S. increased restrictions on its current border security policy. Increase restrictions on its current border security policy.
Starting point is 00:07:57 Should the U.S. increase restrictions on the current border security policy? Should the U.S. just follow what laws we already have? Where do you side on science issues? Science! If the president election will held today, which candidate would you vote for? Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Marker Rubio. Chris Christie, Gary Johnson, Hillary Clinton, John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, Ben Carson, Rand Paul.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Are you kidding me? They've got Gary Johnson on here and they don't have Jim Gilmore. What the hell? So we know you are human. Answer a survey question to continue reading this content. How often do you travel for a business trips of 100 miles or more? Oh, uh, I don't know. A little bit.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Who arranges your business trips? Show my results. Oh, here we go. Who should I vote for? Oh, the pictures of all the candidates are doing a head wave on the screen. Headwave. Here we go. Who am I going to vote for?
Starting point is 00:09:24 All right. On immigration, economic, health care, education, environmental, foreign policy, criminal science, and electoral issues. Are you kidding me? Gary Johnson is above Ted Cruz? All right, here's where I voted. Donald Trump, Austin Peterson, John McAfee, Gary Johnson, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton. I do. The way you answer some of those questions for sure gets you into Trump land because of,
Starting point is 00:10:08 but the qualifiers on them are not what counts, right? because you say no, but really it's yes with qualifiers. Or you say yes, but really it's no with qualifiers. I mean, it's agonizing. So there you go. Did you take it with me? No? Good.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Okay. All right. This is fascinating to me. The Library of Congress put some new entries in this past week. And they. put in Gloria Gaynor, I will survive. I know, I thought the same thing. The Library's National Recording Registry,
Starting point is 00:11:08 which aims to preserve sound recordings that have great cultural and historic importance to the United States. What else did they put in? Billy Joel's Piano Man. The Supremes, where did our love go? John Coltrane's, a love superiors. The oldest edition this year is the Let Me Call You Sweetheart by the Peerless Quartet from 1911.
Starting point is 00:11:38 That particular song. I mean, that's a, that's a all-time classic, right? I mean, who didn't have a grandfather that would sing that? Let me call you sweetheart. Oh, yeah, come on. Everybody sings that. Metallica's master of puppets. Non-musical recordings include George Marshall's The Marshall Plan speech from 1947 and a fourth quarter radio coverage of the 1962 basketball game between the Philadelphia Warriors and the New York Knicks in which Wilts Chamberlain set the record for the most points scored in a single game.
Starting point is 00:12:28 That is a fascinating story, actually. There was no recording of that game of Wilt scoring his 100 points. That's why you just see the snapshots of Wilt holding up the 100 card. And there was no, the radio station, the game was played in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The radio station that was airing the game didn't record it. And nobody recorded it. Some kid, I forget where, some kid had to go to bed. so he rigged up a thing to record the radio
Starting point is 00:13:04 so that when he got up in the morning he could listen to the end of the game and that's the only recording that they have of the fourth quarter of Wilt scoring 100 points is this kid's Jerry rig recording the radio so that he could listen to it
Starting point is 00:13:22 in the morning when he woke up. Fascinating. Fascinating. And The Library of Congress, this collection helps safeguard the record of what we've done and who we are.
