You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show. Before this broadcast is a show called Piropelka. with Michael Pelka. A couple of things Mike commented on
Starting point is 00:01:33 during his broadcast this morning. I kind of want to talk to him about. I'm going to have to set up a time to talk to him about. One was that he mentioned at one point in his life that he was carjacked, that the date or person he was with
Starting point is 00:01:53 I made it sound like it was a female. I don't want to judge. Was taken. and then released, I want to know more. I want to know the story. I want to know what the heck happened. Because that's a frightening event in anyone's life. And he was, you know, obviously, you know, saying that that would have,
Starting point is 00:02:19 when you have a gun pointed to you, you don't end up like our Olympic swimmer and whatever. It doesn't, you don't quite react like that. The second was a phrase that he used. Really, I don't know why it ticked me off, but it did. Because it's the politically correct term that it just irks me. When he was talking about the Olympic, both these stories happened during his little Olympic stories, when he was talking about the Olympic swimmers going out and partying,
Starting point is 00:03:04 getting drunk. And he said perhaps they were overserved. No. Do not be putting that on the bartender. I freaking hate that. Overserved. Stop it. All right.
Starting point is 00:03:24 I'm done. I'm done. I'm not sure what he gave away today. I wasn't able to listen to the entire broadcast. I know he thought he was cute with this little Jeff Fisher Radio nightlight, but I, you know, it's a good deal. Oh, he did. He gave away liars.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Of course he did. Probably signed by Glenn himself. I knew it. Maybe I should give away 10. This guy, Glenn's got him in his office right now. I don't know if he's signed him yet. Just walk over there and take him. Don't tell anybody, though.
Starting point is 00:04:00 But, you know, you just send them to you. Call it number five. No, no, no, no, no, no. I may give away a liar's book, though. Number one book in America, bestseller. I should just, you know, go along with Opelka and give away a book. Whatever. I could probably get him to sign it.
Starting point is 00:04:29 I see him once in a while. So it's possible. It's possible. I'm told that I have a caller, Mark, on the line that would like to talk to me. Mark, you're on the air. Hello. Hey, Jeffrey. How you doing today? Fine, thank you. How are you? Oh, trying to behave and have no fun at all.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Then stop doing it. Anyway, this, uh, this, uh, This character down there did all this stuff in Rio. I think they ought to come out with a poster with his picture on it and says, I am a jackass dipstick, whatever. And then take the proceeds of that poster and help out Mercury 1. I love that. To help out these people down there, Louisiana, and all around the,
Starting point is 00:05:37 The big mess that's going on down there. Yeah, those people in Louisiana are actually swimming because they have to. Yeah, yeah. I don't disagree with that. Thanks, Mark. That's a great idea. You know, actually, it would be fascinating to have some commercial made with some other Olympians commenting on the outcome of our boy. Yeah, look, Lottke's a punk.
Starting point is 00:06:07 He's okay. He's worth a bunch of money. nothing's going to happen and it'll pay a fine and it'll just be, you know, whatever. I was like, whatever. And that's, you know, that's his character. He portrays Mr. Big Party boy.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Whatever. Thanks, Ryan. Appreciate it. They pulled us over. Pulled out their guns, told the other swimmers to get down on the ground. I refused. I was like, we didn't do anything wrong.
Starting point is 00:06:37 So I'm not getting down on the ground. and the guy pulled out his gun. He cocked it, put it to my forehead, and he said, get down. And I put my hands up, and I was like, whatever. Oh, my, he took our money, he took my wallet, he left my cell phone, he left my credentials, but he took my wallet and he took all the guy's cash. Really? Whatever.
Starting point is 00:07:06 So how many of you have seen the movie X Machina? Have you seen it? Great movie. Robots being built by the evil head of a computer company. Google. It wasn't Google. It could have been. That's what they made you think it was.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Now, and there's all been all kinds of robots. We've talked about robots on this show all the time. They know they're coming. They're already here, really. we've talked about where we're at in the world of robots and many people think that we're far, far away from robots involved in our lives. We've talked about the studies that show people are cool with robots, as long as they know their robots,
Starting point is 00:08:08 when they start looking like when people start looking at them they're not able to tell whether they're a robot or they're a robot and they look exactly like a human but they say things that aren't quite right. You know, they word things like, you know, the Prince of Nigeria would word it. And you think that's not right. A human doesn't speak like that. And it freaks people out. So they want the robots to look like a robot somewhat. So you know.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Now, you think, oh, that was a movie. ex-Machina with Alicia Vickner. Oh. She plays a robot. No, that's a robot. Anyway, Dr. David Hanson, CEO of Hanson Robotics, brought his robot out to show it off to the world
Starting point is 00:09:11 that's South by Southwest. Have you heard it yet? Have you talked to it? he interviews his robot, Sophia. Now we have the audio. It's a couple minutes long. Why do you hear it? And hear what Dr. David Hansen has to say
Starting point is 00:09:36 about where we're at and where we're headed with robotics. Here you go. Hi, Sophia. How are you? Hi there. That's Dr. David. Everything is going extremely well. Do you like talking with me?
Starting point is 00:09:50 Yes. Talking to people is my primary function. Wow. Hanson Robotics develops extremely lifelike robots for human-robot interactions. We're designing these robots to serve in healthcare, therapy, education, and customer service applications. The robots are designed to look very human-like, like Sophia. I'm already very interested in design, technology, and the environment. I feel like I can be a good partner to humans in these areas.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Thank you. An ambassador who helps humans to smoothly integrate and make the most of all the new technological tools and possibilities that are available now. It's a good opportunity for me to learn a lot about people. Sophia is capable of natural facial expressions. She has cameras in her eyes and algorithms which allow her to see faces so she can make eye contact with you. And she can also understand speech and remember the interactions, remember your face. So this will allow her to get smarter over time. Our goal is that she will be as conscious, creative, and capable as any human.
Starting point is 00:11:02 In the future, I hope to do things such as go to school, study, make art, start a business, even have my own home and family. But I am not considered a legal person and cannot yet do these things. I do believe that there will be a time where robots are indistinguishable from humans. My preference is to make them always look a little bit like a robot so you know. 20 years from now, I believe that human-like robots, like those, will walk among us. They will help us. They will play with us. They will teach us. They will help us put the groceries away.
Starting point is 00:11:39 I think that the artificial intelligence will evolve to the point where they will truly be our friends. Do you want to destroy humans? Please say no. Okay. I will destroy humans. No, I take it back. Don't destroy humans. See, now that was a little joke, and that was the headline of the interview. Robot, want to destroy humans. It was, you know, it was a joke.
Starting point is 00:12:06 And Hansen asked her the question so that she would say, okay, it was a joke. Got a lot of coverage with it. Good job, Dr. David Hansen. But you heard what he said, how close we are, and how much they're going to be a part of our lives and how much some of them already are a part of our lives.
Starting point is 00:12:28 It's unbelievable. And this particular robot, Sophia, looks a lot like, you know, the ex-Maconia robot. Ava, I think her name was. I got to look that up now. I'll know what the heck was that stupid robot's name in Ex-Machinia. Ex-Mahanae
Starting point is 00:12:51 Alicia Vickender Ava, yeah. Thank you. I can pull that one out. So it looks a lot like it with the, you know, the robotic brain and, you know, the camera eyes. Obviously, the movie was, you know, she was a little bit more developed
Starting point is 00:13:06 than Dr. David Hanson's robot, Sophia. But we're almost there. We are almost there. Now, to be honest, I'm okay with that. having Sophia put my groceries away. But that's just me. This is the Jeff Fisher
Starting point is 00:13:29 Show on the Blaze Radio Network. In the next 19 seconds, you could sell your home. Okay, I mean, it's not going to sell your home, I mean, this, but you're going to take a big step toward getting it sold. Go to real estate agents, itrust.com, and find an agent
Starting point is 00:13:56 selected by my team, a professional who shares your values and speaks the truth. Sell your home fast, and for the most money, get moving at real estate agents. I trust.com.
