You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show.
Welcome to it, Talking Walking Dead.
How are you?
Yes, this is Jeff Fisher.
Yes, I'm joined by Aaron Hernandez.
No, not that Aaron Hernandez.
And we are talking Walking Dead.
Now, Aaron is the expert.
I mean, he's read all the comic books, watched all the shows.
I mean, they have to have an expert on the show.
Now, me, I'm just a layman that wants to be a walker on the show.
That's it.
I just want to be the walker on.
I don't want to be a star on the TV show.
I just want to be a walker.
We'll get into a little bit of that.
But I was thinking if you follow me on my Twitter account at Jeffie MRA,
I was looking at my tweets from Sunday night.
You know, I love, I've taken some hit from some of the people.
You know what I say to those people?
Tough, okay?
Walking Dead's on.
You're going to get live tweeted.
That's the way it goes.
So I had like 10 tweets.
You can't take 10 tweets on one show in an hour.
That's the way it goes.
But it takes you through kind of a timeline of the show.
So before we get back into the show and kind of recap what happened
and kind of take a look at what's going to happen in the future.
Let's just go through the show.
You know, of course, always wake up, time for dead.
Right hook knockout?
How's that for community?
One of my favorite tweets came from Walking Dead AMC,
Rick Tatorship.
I love that.
People, the most important resource in the world.
Think about it.
Ha!
It's because we're good people.
Doesn't mean we won't kill you.
Walking Dead fans tweeted,
Careful, Michone.
You're starting to sound like the moral compass.
That never ends well.
And I tweeted, it just feels like something ain't right.
Walker Woods, full of walking dead.
Walker's dead.
And then I commented on a tweet.
The tweet was from Mary Wright to 71.
God is like they're walking into termites again when he said, oh God, I got to go.
She was referring to Aaron.
And I commented, right, why?
I'm right. Why? I mean, I don't understand that.
And then we had the Burning Man Walker.
And we had
I retweeted one once we had
the love kiss.
I just had these mood candles set up
for you, hon.
And we had the first gay kiss.
And of course, Ben,
at Ben Finns reminded me
that Walking Dead's first gay kiss,
unless you count the time, Rick bit
that guy's neck off in season four.
and got to let it go.
Yeah, not yet.
Not yet.
So to say at least, it was an exciting episode.
Lots of kills.
We had the gay kiss.
Underlying theme of hope.
I mean, we have to have hope.
Everyone, of course, I mean, what's the underlying theme of hope is when is that going to get pulled out from underneath them?
Yeah, big time.
I definitely think that it's something that doesn't really last in this.
series so we'll see where it goes well now in last episode in our last little talking walking dead
episode Aaron uh you mentioned about a dark days coming yeah and my gosh we're outside of a fortress
that uh while Aaron said you couldn't hear anything inside when they pulled up we heard kids crying
and I thought wait play uh yeah there was like uh you know the real life but wouldn't the kids
attract walkers but hey what do I know
so Aaron lied to them we've got
you know Aaron Aaron seems to say all the right
things and he kind of does all the right
things but it just isn't right
yeah somebody seems a little fishy about Alexandria
for sure it just isn't right
I'm not sure what it is he kind of you know there was the
there was the applesauce scene
with him and the baby I mean I got the whole thing
of the baby crying and shut that damn kid up.
I got it.
I mean, nobody wants the kid crying.
But then the whole applesauce scene,
you're telling me Aaron's been out fighting
zombies and listening to Rick and the crowd
and paying and following him,
but he won't eat applesauce?
Okay.
From what I'm getting from the previews
and from the promos that they gave out at the end of the show,
I think that the city itself is pretty abandoned.
And, I mean, you know,
Aaron and his boyfriend there, I don't think they're really big on fighting.
You know what I mean?
They're not really the savages that, you know, the group, the Rick's group has become, man,
because these people are hard as nails.
No doubt.
I think they need that type of person in their camp to, you know, run security for them.
And I think that might be something that we're going to be seeing here in the next episode.
I love that.
The Rick security team.
Nice.
Yeah, because if you're eating applesauce like that,
there's no way that you've been getting your hands dirty.
It ain't happening.
I know.
That really bugged me.
I was like, come on, dude.
My mom, she made me force-feed apple sauce.
I know, shut up.
People haven't eaten in months.
I've eaten dogs on the street.
Right, right.
And you're going to cry to me about applesauce?
I didn't quite get that.
And then I didn't understand when the flare went up,
he was hell-bent on getting out of that car.
Yeah.
Got to go.
So I think that might have been a signal from his boyfriend that, A, things have gone awry and I'm here.
I'm coming to look for you.
I think that's what it was.
I think it was a signal from the other guy saying, okay, things are getting crazy.
Let's meet up.
We got to meet up.
Right.
That makes sense.
That does make sense.
And then we had the great scene of driving down the road, although we didn't see much.
Oh, that was fantastic.
of the Walker Road.
Yeah, the Buick bowling ball.
That was amazing.
It would have been fun to see them fly if we would have got a lot of that footage.
And we did see some, obviously.
And then it was fun watching Michaud pull the arms out of the grill.
That was kind of fun.
That was a great scene.
I really liked it.
But then what happened?
Then we just kind of let the RV go.
And then the next thing they know, we're showing up with Aaron's boyfriend.
Yeah.
I'm quite sure.
Yeah, well, they did get separated.
And then there was a scene with the flare zombie, which was tremendous.
Yeah, the, he had the Burning Man zombie.
I loved him.
That was awesome.
It was good.
Very, very cool.
So, yeah, I mean, there was a lot going on in that episode for sure.
I think there was also a huge, you know, message of that Rick cannot make all the decisions,
that the group itself has a voice and that sometimes the voice of the group has to pull Rick to the right direction.
Well, I think I kind of agree with that.
I think the, you know, Michone standing up a little bit to him and saying, you know,
we need to do this because she is really one that's fighting for the hope.
Yeah.
And I think once, I was thinking about this because I was thinking, you know,
now they make it kind of like, you know, everybody wants, everybody wants to buy in to the,
we need to be a safe place because they had the prison, they had the farm.
Mishone wasn't with them at the farm
But they had
Then there was the bad thing at Terminus
And then there was the
Before Terminus was the governor
Yep
Right
And then you know the prison wasn't bad
The prison was a real
Was a real pain
But at least they got some sleep at night
Yeah
At least they were safe
Yeah they were there were time
Right
There were times when you
They could go to sleep
And feel like they could actually sleep
Yeah
You know what I mean
They weren't worried about it
And you see how
I think also
they realize how dangerous the road is with Bob and the cannibals eating his leg.
That just proves to them, you know, this place is insane.
This world that they live now in is, you know, it's pretty crazy.
Yeah.
So anyway, my kind of point is that, okay, I'll give you that, you know, it's kind of a group thing.
But I think if and when the rug gets pulled out of Hope City, Alexandria, we may go back.
back to that Rick Tatorship real quick.
Yeah, most definitely.
Most definitely.
And then we had, where else was I was going to go?
We had the community.
And I love the idea of them needing,
because Michone did comment on the pictures not having people.
Yeah.
The Aaron showed her.
Yeah, where's everybody?
And he gave her some.
Bogus line.
Whatever.
He's got an answer for everything,
but it doesn't mean it sounds right,
but he does have an answer that kind of feels okay,
that could be real.
Yeah.
To every question.
So I think that's going to be explored more here in the next episode
because really that was the catalyst for him bugging out
and jumping out of the car.
You know, as soon as she was like,
yo, this is fishy, where's all the people?
He bugged out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then it was the flare and I got to go.
I got to get out of here.
I got to get out of here.
So I think that's something that's going to be coming into
coming into the picture as far as a major conflict
here in this new paradise, you know,
this place where they can lay their head to rest.
So are they going to be able to lay their head to rest
for any kind of amount of time?
They need to hold up for a little bit, at least try it, hopefully.
I think most definitely they're going to be able to do that here in Alexandria,
but I think as you've seen in this series,
anything that's good in anything that is,
they're able to keep going for a little bit,
other people, stronger people, come into the picture and they want to take it.
So I think that's something that we're going to be seen here in the next episodes.
Strong people that are not good guys and they're going to want to take whatever they can take.
Well, now, I mean, you're getting to a point now in the U.S. anyway, and probably the world,
if you say that the entire world is like this, you know, the entire world is like this,
that the people that are left are all pretty damn tough.
Yeah, for sure.
I mean, they are, you know, they have a will to live
and they have a will to be in charge of something
and, you know, still hold on to the world.
You see where this group, Rick, obviously,
that's what Aaron, why Aaron was a fan,
is that they were still holding on to being, you know, parentheses, human.
Yeah.
And so, I mean, bad guys are going to, are strong too.
and boy, you are so right.
And they're going to have people behind them.
We talk about it all the time on the Glenn Beck program
about if you're not sure, if you don't know who you are,
you're going to follow whoever is going to take you down the road
when it's time to go.
Yeah, and I think they might be meeting another group
that has a lot of those people that are following some type of crazy person
into wherever they go.
And they are outside a major, you know, U.S. city.
They're right outside D.C.
as we saw in the episode.
So, you know, I think also with that,
we're going to see a lot more zombies
because they are so close to a major city.
We saw what happened in Atlanta.
We can only imagine what would happen,
you know, at the center of our government
or what was our government.
Speaking of that, before one last little quick story,
since we are going to be seeing a lot more walkers,
AMC, why can I not be a walker?
I am petitioning to be a walker.
walker on your show. I don't want to be a star. I don't want to be one of your thing. I want to be a
walker. I want to be a walker that gets killed by one of the stars. That's what I want. And I know
you can't, and don't tell me there aren't any fat zombies because there has been fat zombies. And now I
see on your little show that follows the Walking Dead every Sunday, your little Talking Dead show,
not talking Walking Dead like this one, but Talking Dead. They have their little, look,
let's watch all the Walkers who died segment that's sponsored. And one of
the zombies in that picture. One of the walkers in that picture is a fat guy. So I want to be a walker.
So make it happen, AMC. I don't want one of your sidekick shows. I don't want to show three years
down the road. I don't want, hey, Walking Dead season one of part two. No, part of this one next season.
I want to be a walker next season. How would you want to go? And who would you want to kill you?
Look, I'm not one to lay down demands, Eric.
Okay?
I don't want to seem like I'm laying down demands.
I'm just saying I want to be a walker and I want to be killed by someone on the show, period.
All right.
I like it.
And I want that by next season.
I don't want, I don't want season one of the new Walking Dead.
No.
The all new and improved walking dead.
No.
No.
You'll be a spin-off with Judith.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Moshone.
No, I don't want that.
Okay.
And also I see where people, AMC fans are upset that they want to reverse the course and bring Beth back from the dead.
And they have a petition out there, which I'll tweet the story and put the petition out there.
But it's getting like 30,000 votes, right?
I mean, I guess that's kind of easy to do with such a big show.
30,000 people want to bring somebody back.
I mean, obviously it's not going to happen.
I hope they know that.
Beth Green was killed off, and this is their little petition.
Beth Green was killed off in mid-season finale in Season 5 of the Walking Dead.
Her death was far too soon.
And the writers threw away the potential of a perfectly good character.
Her story wasn't over.
Eminely Kintling and her character don't deserve this.
There was so much more to be done with her character,
and they chose to kill her in a disgusting, unsatisfying death
that caused more anger and disappointment than shock and mourning.
Beth was a symbol of hope
that a lot of women could relate to
and see themselves in, especially
self-harmers who saw her as someone
who overcame their suicidal, depressive
feelings. All right, stop it with the
self-harmer stuff. It was a TV show.
By sloppily killing her, it just shows
that she used to further a man's
Daryl's storyline.
We realize that the circumstances
she dies in are irreversible,
but this is television. Anything is
possible. By signing this petition,
you can at least show your support for Beth.
Let's show Emily Gently how much we love her and want her back.
All right.
Good luck.
God bless.
You know what it is?
You give anybody an acoustic guitar all of a sudden you get the sympathy bandwagon behind you.
That's what it is.
And that is this week's Talking Walking Dead on the Blaze Radio Network.
Jeff Fisher with Aaron Hernandez.
See you next week.
Take care.
