You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show.
You hear that?
It's time for Talking Walking Dead on the Blaze Radio Network podcast.
Jeff Fisher here.
How are you?
And my man Aaron Hernandez joining you today on Talking Walking Dead.
Aaron, howdy.
You all right?
You make it through the episode okay?
Man, it was good.
It got intense at the end.
It did.
It took a little while, though.
I must say one of my, if you follow me on Twitter at Jeff EMRA,
we, you know, live tweet the show.
And I must say one of my, one of the beginning tweets was,
uh, since when did the Walking Dead turn into the Lifetime channel.
So it did, it did take a while to start up.
The nine inch nails in the, in the first half of the show kind of threw me off.
I was like, where were we going with this?
I know.
Now, uh, it, uh, it did get a little, a little freaked out at the end.
But, uh, before we get to the end, we'll say, you know, we're, we'll say, you know, we're, we
We were all worried about what we found out now is Pete, the wife beater, is the surgeon in town.
Yeah.
And so they immediately, we need to just kill him.
And then we got kind of talked out of killing him right off the bat, and now he's going to try to make him stop beating the wife, right?
Yeah, that's what the plan was.
Right.
And then, you know, obviously we catch him at home.
And, you know, the wife who I thought had a moment with Rick and was ready to.
take care of a little business all of a sudden
threw down the gauntlet against Rick
and started standing with wife beat her
and it was okay but she
did kick him out though she did
she did say he had to leave and she was
trying to stand up for herself but
you know I think after years of
abuse she's just kind of like okay
I'm a dormant you know
she doesn't really have too much things to say
and what was the surprise is that
you know of course
of course the people of
Alexandria know it and are trying to, you know, well, we're just hoping it would get better.
Yeah, that threw me off.
So they all knew about it, but because he's the surgeon, he gets a pass, which shows you that,
you know, the group, their group is not really living in reality.
Right.
Well, they haven't been.
Oh, my gosh.
They've been fortunate enough to be where they're at now behind the walls.
And last week, right, that's where they were, that's why they got into the big fight and
her son, Deanna's son, died, and Noah died because they were after the power packs for the solar
stuff, right?
Yeah.
So, which they didn't get, by the way.
Yeah, and it just shows you how just they're not capable of dealing with the threats that are
out there in this world.
And it just shows you because one of their main guys handling security is Nicholas, who's a
Momo.
The guy has no brains.
Well, that was taken care of last night.
It did.
People like you should be dead.
People like you should be dead.
Glenn hit it right on the nail.
And I think this guy is going to become more of a liability here in the next episode.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Because he was buds with what's her face's son who died last week.
Although in the end, Deanna's son knew in the end, before he got all eaten by the walkers,
he realized, hey, we're the idiots.
Yeah. He was trying to redeem himself, but, you know, a little too late.
And then you've got Carl doing a little hanging out with Eden.
Yeah, check that out.
Doing a little hanging in the love tree.
The tunnel of love.
Surrounded by zombies.
It's exciting.
It is. I'm happy for it.
But it seems a little weird that they put it in.
I think they just put it in just because the show has been getting more,
more intense than they needed some type of levity.
Yeah.
Let's make it intense.
I do too.
I like that.
I like that.
Carl, get over it.
He had some other girlfriend that ended up dying.
That's right.
So he's going to get this one killed.
Yeah, so he's going to get this one killed.
Maybe.
That hat might be bad luck.
And I tell you, Sasha got a little Walker crazy.
We do that, though.
She's, I think she's done.
She's gone cuckoo.
Yeah, she's got like space disease or something.
She's just, she's just so part of the world that, you know, they were part of up until recently
that she can't comprehend the way these people are living, the way they have this sanctuary
and the way they're treating it.
I don't think it's commuting with her.
So she's just like, look, I'm just going to be out there roaming the world, killing zombies.
This is my life.
This is what I did.
And I got to tell you, while she does have maybe a little, you know,
Walker dementia.
It's kind of, you know, Rick is kind of in that same mode.
Yeah, man.
You know, he, you know, when he was trying to talk to Deanna about, you know, that's not the way it is now.
It isn't, it isn't, it isn't that way anymore.
You know, I get, I get it that we don't execute people.
I mean, I get that Deanna is trying to say, you know, hey, we don't execute people here.
And, you know, it isn't swift justice.
but really Rick is like you out there it is.
Yeah, that's the way it is.
You know, you dally you die.
And you know it's the interesting thing too is that you see the transition of Rick's character within these past seasons.
And now you see him more acting like Shane.
I know.
Than ever.
Right?
He's becoming more and more like Shane, which is, you know, is keeping himself alive.
That's what's keeping him and the group alive in this world.
Well, then we're here.
Okay, so then we've got the end.
And we've got the big him and Pete fight.
Yeah.
And, you know, they're rolling out in the middle of town
and they stop, stop each other from killing each other.
And Rick pulls the gun on everybody there
and tries to set it straight.
And then our girl, Michelle, knocks him out.
Yeah, that was cool.
I mean, but she has.
to do that. He was rambling. He got crazy face, the blood on his face. He looked like a crazy
person pulling out the gun on everybody, on everybody, knocking his kid off his back,
keep on punching the guy. He went berserk, man. See, that was my gut reaction the first time.
I was like, Michelle, good job. Just knock him out and stop it. Stop what was going on.
So get everybody out of there. Yeah. Which I thought, you know,
my gut reaction.
My first reaction was that's good.
But then the more I thought of it, I was like,
wait a minute, who do you think you are?
You're trying to step up like that.
You need to back on down.
Plus, she is having a little issue, too,
because you saw when she was out there with Sasha
and, what's her face?
That, you know what I'm talking about.
Rosita.
Yeah.
They were out there.
And when they were, just before they started killing Walker,
because she was having flashbacks of killing walkers.
The sword.
All the way back to the slaves.
Yeah.
All the way back to her slaves.
And it made me think that she is regretting that.
Because she always did, she always has kind of regretted it.
Yeah.
But I think that she is really so happy to have this Alexandria.
She doesn't want to give up the rest.
Yeah, I see.
I don't know.
I don't know how to take that.
I also saw, though, that she was like, I need my sword again.
Boy, no doubt about that.
Especially with that, you know, small herd of zombies that came through.
She could have used it bad.
Yeah.
And then not to mention, not make as much noise.
I think that's becoming a big problem.
You've seen more and more followers going to the wall.
With Daryl.
She's shooting like crazy people.
Yes.
Daryl and Aaron.
Aaron were out running around, looking around, which we'll get to, you know,
They found some stuff, but he even said, Aaron said, boy, there's more of them than there used to be.
And I'm thinking, yeah, because you guys are around to shoot your guns off all the damn time.
They're attracting them.
Why do you think Darrell has his crossbow?
And Michelle had her sword and the rest of them do kill so many head-to-head with knives.
So they don't make any damn noise.
They got to do it quietly.
Or I think, you know, maybe in the next episode,
I think those walls might be coming down.
I don't disagree with that.
I don't know that if,
I don't know if it's going to be a kind of a governor kind of thing
where they bring in, you know, the,
the military vehicles and knock them down and just start taking it over,
you know, a little military law kind of thing.
Or if we have, you know, we saw so many of the walkers with the brand W
on their forehead.
And, you know, maybe we overthrow the, you know,
overthrow the walls with the herd of walkers,
which the governor did.
I mean, we saw a preview of that at the prison.
Yeah.
You just, you know, wheel them in and let them lose.
Yeah, so there's a couple different possibilities here, right?
So either the noise is going to bring
just a huge amount of the herds that are probably living in D.C.
They're not too far away from D.C.
We saw what happened in Atlanta.
How many zombies were?
in Atlanta.
And especially think D.C. because that's the central government, people were probably heading
there for help.
So there might be even a higher number of zombies living in D.C. in that area.
But also what I've been thinking, too, about the Ws is that maybe those are M's.
Maybe those are not Ws.
Because in the comic book, there's a character by the name of Douglas Monroe, who's the original
ruler or leader of the Alexander...
Andrea Save Town. So could it be, when she was telling Rick about exiles, could it be that?
And she talked about it before. They mentioned it this week and they mentioned it either last week
or the week before about setting people free, you know, letting them go. Yeah. And this week,
Rick is like, I need your mind? Yeah, you can't do that. This isn't the way that works anymore.
Yeah. So could it be an M, could it be a W? You know, I don't know, but it could be Douglas Monroe,
who was a character in the comic book
that we haven't seen yet in the TV series.
I love that.
Then is Douglas like, you know,
we're putting the M is upside down just to fool you?
Maybe they hang them upside down.
You know what I mean?
And they do an M.
Oh, to brand them?
Yeah, brand them.
To brand them.
Oh, they're alive.
Oh, I like that.
Yeah, yeah.
So, you know, it's a sick world.
We saw when Aaron and Darrow went into the camp zone
where there were people alive living there.
And then a couple minutes later, you know, they're all dead tied up.
We saw the really grisly scene with the Walker tied up to the tree.
So these people are, you know, whoever's doing this, they're not like our group.
They're the bad guys.
Right.
So we saw also Rick trying to, when you say not like our guys, you see our guys still trying to hold on to a little bit of being what we call human.
Yeah.
You know, having a little bit of that compassion still,
trying to hold on to that.
And that's a hard thing to hold on to in these times, man.
It really is.
But even, like, you saw Carol, she baked the casserole.
You know what I mean?
This is the same carol that's, like, you know, chopping off limbs and scary little boys.
So you do see that the group is still trying to, try to fit in, at least, you know, in this group.
Try not to tell everybody to look at the flowers.
So sorry for your loss.
Yeah, I'm sorry your son was an A-hole, okay?
So sorry for your law.
And then all of a sudden, when she's baking two,
little Sammy showed up in the window.
That kid, we need to toss him over the fence, man.
He just needs to go away.
So he's going to be Walker bait?
Yeah, he just needs to go away.
We'll see.
Just come here, Sammy.
I got some cookies for you, throw.
Yeah, I don't know.
What happened to little Sammy?
I don't know.
I think maybe that entire family is going to be capoots.
I'd like to see Rick have a little love before the whole thing goes to hell,
but I don't think that's going to happen.
He needs a little R&R.
I'm a little disappointed for Rick now because she blew him off last night and kind of that whole...
Well, murdering your husband kind of has that effect sometimes.
Almost murdering somebody kind of has that effect.
Yeah, but before then.
Oh, that's right, yeah.
Before then when he was
getting all cutesy
Yeah
She was she said something
And I'm like
Because I thought we had a moment
Yeah
You know
She was like why you'd be it so nice to me
Or what do you something
I don't remember what it was now
Gosh darn it
You gotta find my
Look through my Twitter accounts now
Because it really ticked me off
Well it's definitely on man
Like it's definitely on
You know there's some type of spark there
But I don't know how much
Is it left after he threw
her husband out through the window.
You know what I mean?
So that changes things.
It does?
Yeah, I think so.
I think so.
Okay.
Well, we'll see.
Okay.
I think so.
And it covered in blood, pointing guns at everybody,
tossing your kid off your back.
That kind of, I don't know.
That's not a turnoff for a lot of people.
It doesn't bode well, doesn't?
No, I don't think so.
No, you're right.
That might put you down a little bit.
I'm sorry, baby.
Might go down.
I thought maybe we'd, I thought maybe we'd get together tonight.
Yeah.
You know what?
You know what?
I'm good.
Yeah, definitely not the game phase you want to bring to the first date.
It's just not.
All right.
So we got to big hour and a half, two hour finale coming up this Sunday.
Yes, sir.
The 29th, right?
The 29th.
Yes, the 29th.
Yeah, the 29th.
Wow, March 29th.
My brother's birthday.
Happy birthday, bro.
Happy birthday.
And so we've got the big hour and a half, two-hour show.
I was thinking that maybe the walls don't come down.
I think the walls are going to look like they're ready to come down.
That's going to be the end of the season.
Maybe.
They're going to leave me hanging with the battle just taking place or something.
Yeah, I think they're going to have to reveal what's up with the woves.
You know what I mean?
You keep seeing that.
Yeah, no, we find out that.
I'm not saying we don't find that out
And we don't maybe have some sort of
Some sort of meet and greet
Especially I think the meet and greet might come
When we're getting ready to throw Rick out
Although I can't see them through
I can see them attempting to throw Rick out
But this is going to be the telling tale about Michone
Whether she stands up for Rick
Or whether she says
Maybe it's time that he goes
True
Because if she says maybe it's time
that he goes,
we need to get rid of her too.
Yeah.
I don't know about that,
but the episode is called...
I know, I know.
It is called Conquest.
So, we'll see...
We'll see what that means,
you know, with the group
and the people of Alexandria.
Okay, let's go. I can't get here soon enough.
See you next week.
I'm talking.
Walking Dead.
Take care.
