Starting point is 00:00:21 What are you waiting for? A disaster? Do it right now. 8-88-4-1-744. Welcome to Talking, Walking, Dead. Yes, indeed. Welcome to Talking Walking Dead.
Starting point is 00:00:51 This is Jeff Fisher, along with Aaron Hernandez. And wow, what an episode. It was exciting, sad, disappointing. But a bunch of other words, too. Whatever word you can think of, that's what this episode was. Romantic? Yes. Yes, romantic.
Starting point is 00:01:16 We have unanswered questions. We have answered questions. We have sewer walkers. I love those. Those are good stuff. I couldn't be that. Hey, AMC, I couldn't be a sewer walker. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:36 All right. No problem. No problem. Call me. So what do you think, Aaron? What am I getting from you today? I like the episode a lot. It set up a lot for the next two episodes left here.
Starting point is 00:01:50 It did set up a lot. I'll give you that. And sometimes we have to go through these setup episodes. And sometimes the set up episodes aren't what I like. Yeah. I know they need to be done. It definitely is setting up some traction here. And there was a lot going on in this episode.
Starting point is 00:02:07 And I mean a lot. I mean from, you know, soap opera pregnancies, you know, going down. Right. Right. Some hope there with Glenn. Definitely this episode shined a lot of that. Lesbian makeout scenes. I mean, it was a kiss.
Starting point is 00:02:22 It was... Makeout scenes. I mean, you may have pictured the makeup scene in your mind, but it was a kiss. A man has his needs. But there was a lot going on. And I think my favorite part of it, the episode, was everything that was focused with Deanna and her son, Spencer. And I think something's really creepy is going on with that dude Spencer. He's looking at the walker's weird.
Starting point is 00:02:50 I don't like him. No. No. He's something. Look, first of all, all the kids out of Alexandria, there's something wrong. There's something wrong. Everybody that's got a kid in Alexandria is something's wrong with them. There had to be something in the water.
Starting point is 00:03:07 They had to be something. That's why they moved there because something was wrong with their kid. I mean, it's really weird how they all have some kind of. a weird problem. They were hugged too long as children. That's possible. They were hugged too long. Oh, you see where it got you today, don't you?
Starting point is 00:03:25 There you go. And I think what was interesting about this episode is that for a second there, they were like, hey, Spencer's a cool guy. He's falling in line with the regiment here. He's going to start manning up. And then immediately they'd take that, they just take the rug under you and be like, oh, no, he sucks. He still sucks.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Right. Right. It's a big struggle for them. I would say that before we get to the unanswered questions that I have, we have another kid, right? The What's His Face's Kid who wants to now be trained in shooting from Rick, and you know that he wants to kill Rick. Oh, without a doubt. No question.
Starting point is 00:04:09 Without a doubt. This creepy kid has it in for. Carl and Rick, and I think he's going to try to make a move. Yeah, I mean, there's something there that he's, you know, he's pretending just enough to be, get close enough to kill him. And Rick's going to have to end that quick. I don't think he is. I don't think he's going to do it.
Starting point is 00:04:30 I really think Carl's going to step up and handle this for his pops. I'd be about time because Carl's like, you know, he's been back there babysitting for long enough and he needs to kill something. He does. And he's a, you know, that kid's a badass. Right. If you push him, he's definitely going to snap on you. And I think...
Starting point is 00:04:46 Oh, and he's definitely seen more than the rest of these dinkleberries. He can go up hard. And, you know, the sheer fact that is, you know, he had to rip out his sister from his dying mother. That's going to do something to you, man. That's going to do something to you. So he's... Yeah, you got to do what you got to do.
Starting point is 00:05:06 You've got to do what you got to do. You can quote me on that, by the way. That's so funny. that. Okay, so we've got there's still, we've got a couple of characters. We didn't see it all. We didn't see Daryl. We didn't see Carol. Who else? I mean, we've got some characters that we haven't seen at all this episode. It was kind of disconcerting. Pretty much everybody that went out to heard all the walkers. Right, none of them. We haven't really talked about them this whole season. And I think it's setting up for a possible big confrontation between them and the woves. And I think this is going to play into the mid-series finale here.
Starting point is 00:05:54 I think they, I don't know. I don't got a good feeling about it. I think they might get caught. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Mid-series finale. That's got to be coming up then, right? Because we're coming into the holidays.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Two episodes. So we have two weeks, two weeks to go. Oh, boy. Can we do some episodes? I mean, can't they work? We're all working. Why can't they? I mean, what am I supposed to do when I'm having surgery the first part of December
Starting point is 00:06:20 that there's not going to be a new walking dead on? Please. Times for us. Yes, that's first world problems right there. All right, so we didn't hear about Glenn at all. You know, they talked about him, obviously, and at the end where, you know, they're, you know, busy trying to rub his name off the wall. it was an issue when they put it on there. They shouldn't have let him put it on there.
Starting point is 00:06:46 But we didn't see or hear anything about him. We kept it all inside Alexandria this episode. So are we still? I mean, I'm still under the impression. I believe he's alive. I think he definitely is. At this point, I think they're giving too much hints now that he is alive, especially her rubbing out his name.
Starting point is 00:07:11 and Nicholas, you know what I mean? They think they're both alive. Obviously, Nicholas, you know, bit the bullet. Right, yeah, we know he's dead. But that whole arc in the story with Aaron was pretty... I enjoyed that. Yes. The sewer walkers was tremendous.
Starting point is 00:07:26 That was super cool. Yeah, it was good scene. But to find out that Maggie's pregnant is just a bombshell. And I think this also, maybe he's even delusional. Maybe he is dead, who knows? But she definitely now has hope because of the child. I think more than anything. Because I think she really did, you know, write him off as dead in the beginning of the episode.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Yeah. Yeah, I'll give you that. But, you know, having the baby, you're right, does bode to him being dead because they can still talk about him and still bring him part of the episodes without him being there. You know, like they did with Rick's wife when he was losing his mind there at the prison. And the wife was all, you know, showing up and wandering around and making phone calls and stuff when Rick was losing his mind. and, you know, so she was still part of it, but not really. Yeah. So that might go down, but the difference between her and Glenn, people actually like Glenn.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Nobody really liked Lori. That's true. That's true because she was all having sex with the brother. Yeah, she was just unlikable. Yeah, yeah. Although, I mean, for some people. I mean, some of us may have liked her. You know what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Yeah, but those people suck, so it's okay. Whoa. And then we. Okay, so we didn't hear about Glenn. We didn't learn anything about Glenn. And I also, I would like to say that we better have some kind of flashback or something showing me how Rick got away from the Winnebago and ran through the herd to come up to the gate and start yelling open the gate.
Starting point is 00:08:58 That was not. Because what the hell? We just leave it out there. Like, okay, he was stuck in the Winnebago and we know it's Rick and we know he's not going to die. So, yeah, he got out. I guess that's kind of the way they're going to play it. Right?
Starting point is 00:09:12 Come on now. I mean, how cool was it to see that now the enemies at the gate, they are surrounded, and they got a serious problem. And the cliffhanger at the end of the episode where you start seeing the blood come through, they're coming in. I think they're coming in. I mean, you can only hold so much. I mean, they actually should have Rick smarter than this point is they actually should have at least started clearing some of them. For sure, they got to send out Morgan in there. He goes, yo, you're good at this.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Start clearing. Right. I mean, at least to just start, you know, cleaning the herd out a little bit. I mean, that's what they did at the prison. You know, I mean, Rick's smarter than that. You know, you can't just let them build up like that and keep banging on the walls and keep building the pressure. You know, time and pressure. Oh, my gosh, that's what happens with, I don't know, mountains.
Starting point is 00:10:00 They will come through that wall. Yeah, it's going to happen. And I think it was super sketchy to see Spencer on the, you know, the wall. Right? And the way he was talking, there ain't something right about this dude. I know. And it's too, it's starting to creep me out. I think, I think he might let the door open. You know, I did kind of, now I'm trying to replay it in my head and I kind of felt that last night a little bit. Although I don't, I mean, at some point you got to think that somebody's smarter than that, right? Yeah, but I think he might be, I think he might know he's not cut out for this world. And I think he might just be like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:10:38 Let's just do this. Let's end this. Get it over with. Yeah, because he's already partying. He's getting drunk. You know, he's taking all the, what should be rationing. He's got his chips in his jacket. Chips up on the other.
Starting point is 00:10:50 He needs a slim gym, like a gangster. He don't care. So. That's very funny. So then, okay, so now we have, and whatever happened to, did we, did I miss, uh, what's his face, his boyfriend getting killed? Because we have the gay couple. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Right, the gay male couple. Yeah, Aaron and Eric. Did Eric get killed or something? Did I miss that? No, he just, I don't know. Well, I haven't seen him around. And then we had, and then we had the two girls to use your phrase, make out. Yeah, Tara.
Starting point is 00:11:24 It was just a kiss. Denise. It's a nice long kiss. So we've got that happening. And then we've got Rick finally taking care of a little business with the girl that's been, had the, I mean, they had the moment from the first time they. saw each other. Yeah, I mean, how Shakespearean was that?
Starting point is 00:11:41 Like, I'm going to kill your husband. I'm going to make out with you. This is happening. That's the most awesome, manliest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Took a little while, though. It did. She still has freak boy to worry about upstairs. Rick needs to take care of that.
Starting point is 00:11:56 That is true. And the young kids, cool. Like, the one that's been hanging out with Carol, like I like him. Like, I think he could turn around. But that older one might, you know. Yeah, no question. The older one's done. All right, so what do we got coming up for next week?
Starting point is 00:12:10 What do you think? Well, we saw Deanna, literally the way the episode ended was awesome because she's just like, look, man, I'm done here. I'm no longer the leader. I know this. You're the leader. Take it.
Starting point is 00:12:23 So I think you're going to start seeing the Rick Tatorship come back. And I think they're going to start seeing some serious bucket gets kicked coming up here in this. Yeah, because Rick isn't going to play. No. Rick's not going to play. Rick's going to say, look, well, this has got to be this way. and they're going to look to the mayor and she's going to say, I'm out.
Starting point is 00:12:42 I think that's what she's going to do. You're right. And I think anybody talking about, like, revolting, I think they're going to be out too. Yeah, it's no problem. You're either with us or I'm letting you out the gate. Yeah, so I think Rick's going to clean house and we might see some more wolves coming up here in the next episode. Now, if Homeboy decides to open the gate, that's an issue that they're going to have to deal with. that won't be pretty in the city, man.
Starting point is 00:13:09 They're going to have to... I hope Rick has some sort of fortress set up inside the city already. And I don't think he does. No, I think they have enough problems as it is. Right. So he hasn't got that yet. So the only place really to go and hide now is the sewer, right? The sewer are in your homes, but, you know, with that many walkers, they're going to come in.
Starting point is 00:13:33 They're going to break through the windows. But not the sewers. Yeah, that's true. down the sewers and they were there by the gates but if they start coming in the city those other walkers will go with them but the thing is though even erin said it how many people know about this he's kind of the only one that really knows about the sewers and how to get out and how to you know he's the only guy that's actually you know savvy in the whole group of alexandria the original group so i think a lot of people you know don't know about it and in that case if they do break in
Starting point is 00:14:03 a lot of those people are gone oh that's fine with me but i'm talking about our group I mean, I don't, everyone from Alexandria can go away as far as I'm concerned. You know what? They've got to clean out the herd. I really do think. We're going to keep Rick's new woman. What's her face can be sad because, you know, the, how shall we put it, the overweight wannabe doctor girl who's in love, she's got to go.
Starting point is 00:14:32 She's going to be killed. You think so? Oh, my gosh. Yes. I hope so. She has to go. She plays a pretty pivotal, like a really prominent role in the comic book. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:14:46 So that's all I'm going to say. That's all I'm going to say. Oh, no. But her fate may or may not be sealed. Oh, what do you mean? Because she's like the doctor or something? May or may not. I can't say it.
Starting point is 00:14:57 May or may not. You can say it? That's what we're doing here. It's a fun, it's a fun, you know, fate. Oh, my gosh. You have to tell me now. I'm going to, I'll cut you off from this podcast right now. They eat her.
