Welcome to Talking, Walking, Walking.
Dead. Wow. What an episode. Season 6, well underway. One episode left before the winter break.
And we find out that yes, in our hearts and minds are okay because Glenn is alive. Jeff Fisher here, along with Aaron Hernandez, on Talking Walking Dead for the Blaze Radio Network. Aaron, are you relieved?
I'm so happy. Like, when I saw him, I was like, yes.
He's alive.
Like, our theories weren't entirely, well, at least my theory wasn't entirely correct.
No.
But who cares?
He's alive.
No, I think we both pretty much called it.
I mean, I thought that he originally, that he would, you know, hey, you can still climb underneath that dumpster.
It looked pretty high.
And, you know, high up off the ground.
And then your thought of him just being covered in that goo and laying there was actually, that's kind of what saved him, was having a little bit of goo.
on him so he could slide underneath the dumpster.
Yeah, I mean, he, I wasn't expecting, to be honest, I really think they were going to kill him off.
Like, I was hoping, but towards, you know, the episodes that were coming, I really thought they were just going to be like, he's dead, he's done, but he's back, man.
You are touching, such an, why would they kill Glenn off?
Why would they do that?
I don't know, but they've been killing a lot of people, so.
Okay, so we have Glenn alive, and then he runs into, I'm not.
sure what up with Enid. I mean, she's been a weird bird from the beginning.
She's a strange one. Yeah, but I'm not real sure what's up with her. However, you know,
I mean, it's nice of Glenn to want to save her and all, but I think we need to lose her.
She's going to be, she's dragging us down. She is becoming a bit of a liability, although she did say Glenn.
So, I mean, you know, she's starting to earn her keep. There might be hope for her.
And, you know, it was a cute little thing at the end with the balloons.
So, you know, we do to find out that he was alive at Alexandria.
Hi, before we get to that, let's talk a little bit about what's happening back at Alexandria.
Obviously, with the ending of this episode, next week is going to be a scream.
There's going to be, you know, a battle royal for Alexandria.
Do you think Alexandria survives or are we done with it?
I think he's going to, let's put it this way.
I think Alexandria is going to be there.
I don't think a lot of people will be there after this next episode.
The walls are coming down as you see and I think there's enough trouble already.
Like they've already gone through enough that this is just what they needed right now.
It's like really this is happening too.
and I think all the internal struggles that we've seen all throughout this season,
it's all going to come out and play here in this next episode.
It's going to be a real shame to see some of those Alexandrians gone.
Not.
The only thing is, now, first of all, the walls aren't coming down.
The tower crashed into a couple of sections.
So that's kind of manageable.
It is manageable, so there's definitely hope.
But I think you also have to look at it.
look at, look, you have a wolf
stuck in there right now.
If you're going to attack somebody
right now would be the time.
Daryl and everybody else,
Sasha and
Ford, yeah.
They have not seen, they were
no part of this episode. Yeah, where are
they? So three of your really
crucial soldiers are
gone. We don't know where they're at.
And you have the guy
inside that's locked up, that looks
like he's going to escape.
Morgan doesn't want to hurt anybody
I mean right now
if you're going to hit a group
this is the time you do it
Yes that's true
Now let's
I mean it was first ended the
The ex-mare lady
Her boy who tried to crawl himself
Over the walkers
He was the one that got them all worked up
And started made them knock down the tower
To crash into the fence
It was because of his actions
That got them all worked up
Anytime the word
Hey man I want to help
comes from this guy, run.
Right.
This guy is the biggest jinx I've ever seen in my life.
Right.
I mean, they probably should put a bull in this guy's head
because because of this dude, I think a lot of people are going to die.
And the mayor lady, she is, I realize that makeup is getting a little weak
in there in Alexandria, but she's looking a little frightening.
I'm not sure what's up with her, but somebody needs to put a little rouge on or something.
Because he looks bad.
Maybe it's a sign to come.
I don't know, man.
I mean, come on.
They still have mirrors, okay?
Take it easy.
Anyway, I mean, we're the ones, right?
I mean, it's our group that has the, you know, the dental hygiene.
Come on, we can take a little bit of makeup.
Take care of ourselves a little bit.
I know hubby's dead and your sons of jinks, but, you know, just a little blush.
Anyway, the, now we saw Carol is, Carol is right on top of it, man.
she is on top of it and we saw her give
I don't like the little
that kid's got to go to the kid of Rick's
girlfriend the little one the one with the
the bowl haircut
yeah I don't know what his I mean he's been
all freaked out he doesn't come downstairs
he sits there at the
landing of the stairwell
I mean it just come on now
come on yeah I like him because he's such a
throwback to the old world
like this is like a typical
kid that would have existed in the old world.
And I like him.
He's almost like a novelty and a relic because you look at people like Carl and they're just
like, yeah, we've got to kill a lot of things today.
This is what we're going to do today.
That's a good point.
So I like him, but I don't think, you know, what I'm thinking is going to happen.
I don't think he's going to make it.
Oh, boy.
Now, let's talk a little bit about, I noticed on Twitter last night and I didn't want
to start any wars or any battles or anything.
so I didn't really, I let it go.
But I saw someone say, I'm calling it right now.
That guy's going to kill Rick and he's going to try to kill Carl.
And I thought, dude, first of all, you should have been listening to a talking walking dead
because we called that like two and a half weeks ago, bro.
I don't know what you're, you know, great that you called it during this episode when the whole world knows.
But no, we called that quite some time.
Yeah.
I mean, and you definitely see it now.
He's already plotting.
You know, he already tricked the nurse to get into the stash.
Got a bunch of bullets.
Yeah, I know.
He's starting to follow him.
He is going to be fish food, man.
The saving grace for him is that the walls come down.
You know, the big wall came down when he was going to make his move.
Yeah, and also, you know, I don't know how this is going to play out with his mother and her relationship with Rick.
I have a feeling that he's going to try something.
Carl's going to stop him.
and if he kills them
Oh
You know what I mean?
What does that
What will that do to
To you know
This mother who's lost her husband
Even though he was a you know
D-backed
Lost her husband to Rick
Yeah but but still nonetheless
You know and then now
Her son
And now she has Judith
Could something happen?
Oh no
No you can't
Nothing can happen to Judas
She's the saving grace
I don't know man
You lost two people to this family
I just want to go on the record
I called that, okay?
I called that a long time ago.
I'm telling you, Judith is the saver.
I don't know, man.
I think something might happen here in this next episode
where she might be chum.
And that would, you want something that's going to throw Rick over the edge?
Yeah.
Let something happen to that little baby.
Oh, my gosh.
I think that's what's going to happen.
And I think maybe that might be the fuel.
He might need to, you know, like a complete dictatorship,
and also war with these wolves.
Not only against the wolves,
but you have the next bad guy coming up, right?
Next, maybe not the next half of season six,
but season seven for sure.
They've already signed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan
to play Negan, the bad guy, right?
Is that right?
That's a great actor for that role.
Wow.
Yeah.
Okay, cool.
Yeah, so if that's the case,
this is going to become incredibly intense.
Right.
Beyond intense.
This portion of the comic book,
from the entire history of the entire series is my favorite because it's so brutal and so intense
that this is where we're really going to start seeing madness and craziness because this guy
Negan makes the governor look like a I don't know man looks look like a Girl Scout you know
well we're at the point now right we're at the point of survival in in the series and
if this were actually happening.
You're at the point now where the people who have survived and who are ruling have been able
to survive because they're okay with killing real people who are not sick and killing sick
people.
And the only thing that's kept Rick and his group sane and not building into this evil
empire of the governor and everything is because they still believe in not kill
killing people who have not been infected unless it's absolutely necessary.
Yeah.
And I think you're going to definitely still see that.
But, you know, those rules, they're definitely going to be, you know,
well, they're all right.
Yeah.
I mean, they're already stretched pretty thin.
Yeah.
You know, Morgan is, I mean, when Rick found out that those were the guys that Morgan
let go, he should have just kicked Morgan out right then.
He was.
I love Morgan.
I love him to death.
Like, I understand.
I get it. All the lives matter.
Precious lives.
All yada, yada, yada.
Take your stick.
Get out.
Yeah.
He was definitely furious, man.
And I think really the only thing that's holding Rick together is that this is the man that saved his life.
I know.
I know.
And that keeps going through his head.
But, man, you saw the rage, man.
Rick's rage today in this episode was pretty high.
Old Spence there was going to get thrown over.
I know.
And he should have.
He probably should have.
And then his line with the What's Her Face who is saving?
What are you doing?
We could have lost you.
He was saving these people.
I think he already has divided himself between the Alexander's got just about enough.
He has, man.
He's totally like, dude, I don't know by you guys, but this place is ours.
And he was so pissed.
You could have lost your lives trying to save these people.
Yeah, that was great, man.
That was one of my favorite parts of the whole episode.
They're not our people.
Rick's mentality needs to change, man.
In order for this thing to work, I think it has to change.
And I think this next episode is going to be the event that makes the unification, the real unification of this place.
Okay, well, and that makes sense.
So we'll lose all the deadwood.
Yes.
And the people who are left now, the Alexandrians and our regular crowd, the people who are left will be the fighters for the future, obviously.
Yeah, totally.
But I also think that they're going to have to be unified because I think the threat of the wolves and the threat of Negan, who is coming, you know, later down in this series, is such a great threat that without unity, they're all lost.
So they've got to get it together here in this next episode or, you know, a lot more people would die.
Right.
And so you honestly believe you want me to put your own hold.
You think my saving grace baby is going to go away?
Yeah, man, I think somebody's going to happen.
That's very tragic here in this next episode.
And I think it's going to set up the next season to be incredibly brutal.
Okay, so I'll tell you what I think.
Now, I'm guessing that we get rid of the kid trying to kill Rick and Carl.
He's gone.
He's gone.
He may get a wound in on Carl.
You know, he may get Carl shot somewhere.
Because remember they talked to him about how to shoot when somebody's pointing a gun at you,
and Rick was like, you know, you're going to want to bring it up and fire, but don't.
You want to bring it up to your eyes and fire.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And Carl's like, you're going to be scared.
You will be scared, but this is what you have to do.
And so I think this kid doesn't realize that yet.
You know, he's really pissed and he's a psychopath and he's over the edge.
But I don't think he knows exactly what it takes to kill somebody that he look in them in the eye.
Yeah, for sure.
So he can get a wound in.
He's going to get a wound in,
but he's not going to finish him off,
and they will finish him off.
Now, I want to know how great of a wound will that be.
Could this wound coming up here be something that will mark either Carl or Rick for the rest of their lives?
And that will play a big role here in the next coming episodes for the next season.
I think that's a very real possibility.
Oh, yes, where we have the mark for the rest of the rest of the season.
rest of the
for the rest of the series.
Because we know now, we know
Rick originally
had, you know, he lost a hand
early, right?
Yeah.
So.
In the comic book series.
He lost a hand, which they didn't want to do
in the, in the television series.
You know, obviously,
they talk about, you know, the CGI,
but they've got the CGI down now.
They can do whatever they want.
They can do it, but I like the idea
with the, you know, he has all 10 fingers.
I do like it because it allows them to do things that, you know,
it's very limited for him to do in the comic book.
But that also, you know, leads to interesting stories,
but we've already seen those stories.
I want to see what they do with what their new take is on it.
Yeah.
And so I was reading somewhere deep in the bowels of walking deaddom.
And they talked about in the comic book,
does Carl have one eye?
He does.
I know that you I know that
I know that I know but
well I'm a spoiler
because I realize that you
Mr. Smarty pants has read all the comic books
and I have not
yes but I do dive into
the Walking Deaddom
halls of the internet
from time to time
and uh
and that's right people I do it
just for you here on
talking Walking Dead on the Blaze Radio
network yeah
that's right you're welcome
um
but
That's okay.
We can burn it away.
You're telling them, you're telling our audience the baby's going to get eaten.
I can't say Carl's going to lose an eye.
Well played, sir.
Well played.
Okay, come on.
Shut up.
Yeah, he's going to be a one-eyed jack there.
They're going to be calling him lefty.
There you go.
Let's call him lefty.
Okay.
So let's leave it with, I'm really looking forward to next week.
I'm looking forward to next week on talking walking dead.
recapping the
first
the end of the first half
of season six
of Walking Dead
and it should be
obviously they're going to leave us with some
huge cliffhanger which is going to drive me
insane but
with the tower crashing
and the walls coming down
there will be a great
battle coming next week
and I am really really
looking forward to that
