You're listening to the Jeff Fisher Show.
Okay.
Episode 615, Walking Dead.
Today, we can call it episode 615 of Talking Walking Dead.
Jeff Fisher, along with Aaron Hernandez and Jason Buttrill,
Talking Walking Dead for the Blaze Radio Network.
All right, I'm seeing sad faces.
I'm hearing sad voices from Los Angeles.
What is going on?
Yeah.
All right, so we'll start with Jason.
Okay.
Who looked at me like, oh, this is another punch in the face episode.
This is on my list of episodes to punch in the face for sure.
Okay.
So this is my biggest issue with this episode.
Everyone is acting so stupid.
It's like literally who did they get to write this episode?
Did they just bring in two random, like guest writers for the...
It does seem...
I'll give you that. It does seem that the last couple of episodes they are starting to treat the characters dumber than you think they would be.
Okay, so getting right off to the beginning, so Rick Lane in bed with Michone.
Okay, this is hit number one.
So I'm not buying that Rick all of a sudden is so cocky to say, the world is ours and we know how to take it.
I mean, he's so cocky and so complacent.
Like he hasn't learned a single thing
All of a sudden, like he hasn't learned a single thing
And then
The rest of the characters are acting like
I don't
Like they're
They're acting stupid
But it's like they're trying to set up the plot line
For the next episode
So not like they're actual the characters that we love
It's like they're trying to like rewrite the way they think
Just to further the plot line
And that's what irritated the crap
That is kind of agonizing
I'll give you that
Because like I said
You know there are times when you
Why would they do that?
They know better.
So Darrell runs out.
He leaves because he's got this vendetta against Dwight.
He just takes off.
And then we have, who went out to follow him?
It was Glenn, Mishone, and Rosita.
Rosita went out with Darrell.
Yeah, okay.
Oh, yeah, that's right.
So they all take off, and they apparently just don't tell anybody.
Now, what's going to Carol?
Rosita left with Darrell.
after they got to the tracks.
She did not leave with Daryl originally.
Darrell went out by himself.
Okay.
All pissed.
Yeah, yeah, right.
So my point is,
two separate groups leave.
Carol leaves,
and then you got Rick and Morgan taken off.
But nobody's communicating.
They're like,
the safest place in the zombie apocalypse
is inside Alexandria, right?
Apparently, they've completely forgot that fact
because they like to leave the walls.
And every time they leave the wall,
someone dies.
And then they all run out,
split up their best fighters
within Alexander
and then
the only person left
is like Carl
you know to like
to save the day
if Negan shows up
but they're
I'm just blown away
how they're not communicating
with each other
and then taking off
and doing stupid stuff
but I know the reason
and I'll end my rant here
it's because they're just
they're just doing stupid
they're making them do stupid stuff
even though it's
outside their character arc
it's not who they are
just to further the plot line
okay I'm done
Aaron
and now Aaron
Her dad then.
Like every character acts out of character.
Yeah.
And it's so annoying.
It's just so weird that there's sending all their best fighters out in the woods for no reason.
It's not like these people have common sense all of a sudden.
They just go out, willy-neely.
I really hated the fact that Darrell all of a sudden needs to avenge the niece his death.
You know what I mean?
He didn't even know her.
He doesn't go after.
Carol, who's been, you know, his close friend forever.
He doesn't know Carol, but the thing is, is that he doesn't know Carol's gone.
Right.
Right?
Carol left, and he left before they found out Carol was gone.
Okay, with that, too, another interesting point, which drives me crazy.
You know what I mean?
All she does is leave the note for Tobin.
Yeah.
Right, after all of this.
Not Rick, not nobody else that they've been, you know, hanging out with for the long time.
Living, that's family.
and she leaves a note to Tobin.
It was just extremely agonizing this episode
that everybody was just like, yeah, it seems like a good idea.
Let's just go out in the woods and chase after a horse.
Yeah, it really felt like a parody episode.
Like I was like, oh, let's pretend all of a sudden
that the characters are not who we've been building them up
for the past few seasons.
Let's be like, just for funny, just for coolness sake,
let's have them do something completely out of character.
And that was last night's episode.
Well, Rick and Morgan, I think, were more in character than the others,
because they would go after Carol, no question.
And, you know, they would go after Carol.
And we saw the lone guy by the barn, right?
The horse guy that you referred to.
Was he a savior or not?
I think that was a different group, right?
I think that's a different group.
I think who that guy is, because if you look careful,
I went total nerd on this, and I, like, looked up stills.
I did some research.
I think he was wearing armor,
and if he was stealing a horse,
and we've been seeing all these weird, like, pikes,
you know, like spears and stuff,
I think this guy's part of another group called the kingdom.
Oh, yeah.
And we might be seeing them soon.
Interesting.
It is fascinating to me that we seem to be taking the Negan group
who we keep running into
and seeing the type of people they are
just as an afterthought.
But, eh, eh, and that goes back to Rick being all cocky.
Yeah.
No question.
Although I will say, I will say, the one thing that they're doing good, at least why I enjoyed the episode, and even the last couple kind of, is that they're starting to show the desperation of life.
That's why you like this episode?
Because you're the only one of the three that liked it.
Yeah, I mean, I do like them getting into the thought of the desperation of life.
and the feeling bad for living.
You know what I mean?
That's where a lot of them are at right now.
Well, I like that they're making the separation.
They're trying to find a reason to live.
And you've got to show the Alexandria group, Rick's group,
as not being mindless killers, like what they're setting up for Negan.
Right.
I see what you're saying on that.
But I just think they're doing it in a dumb way.
But I do agree.
I know.
Well, see, now we're torn because I do kind of agree that because for the last two episodes,
you find yourself going, like I said,
why would you do that?
They're smarter than that.
They're more smarter than that.
It started with last week's episode
of taking the dock out.
I know that we've got the dock at the hilltop,
but we wouldn't take our medical person out.
I don't care how much she wanted.
Go be with your girlfriend.
You're our doctor.
You're not going out.
I don't care how much you think you can handle it.
And then Daryl running off on his own,
all wound up.
Carol saying that she can't kill anymore.
because of love, but she's going to kill Negan's people
at the drop of a hat after she pretends,
please don't kill me, please don't kill me.
Yeah.
I just don't know.
So when Carol took off in her pretty much badass Mad Max mobile?
That was super bad Mad Max.
That was no.
Yeah.
So I love that with the spears going out.
That was awesome.
So that group that she runs into,
was that another savior group, Negan's group?
For sure.
going down to Alexandria.
I may even said it.
Yeah, you're the people with the cool wall
and a really nice place to live.
Yeah, 12 and a half clicks down the road.
Yep.
So I think that's definitely a bigger group.
I think I want to go back to something that Jackie said
about the neat.
I'm now starting to get really annoyed
by her death last episode
because I'm now seeing it through the promos
for the next episode for the season finale
that it was all a plot point.
And the reason why they killed her was because now there's no doctor, Maggie's in need.
So now the group has to go to the hilltop.
And they have to take her to the hilltop.
And also, so let's.
Which now that means less people.
When she goes to the hilltop, less people in the town.
And then also I want to make the point of, this has been like a weird fascination for me,
is trying to figure out who all is going to die next Sunday.
It's looking pretty strong for you.
Up until the end of the program tonight last night.
Well, we'll get to that.
Okay, because I was with you up until the end of the show.
Well, so listen.
So, okay, so Denise died with the arrow that we just talked about through the eye,
but that was supposed to be Abraham.
So I'm wondering if they're setting up, but can we like agree?
So Abraham is what, like a second tier character in the show?
As far as I know, they're trying to, it seems like they were trying to break him through,
but I don't think he's ever made that yet.
Made the break to number one yet.
I think Abraham, and he's been built up over the past few episodes, like his story arc, very weirdly.
Like, do we really care about Abraham's relationship?
No, I don't.
No.
But see, so it's a weird.
And we already know enough about him, as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah.
We know with the end of realizing that Homeboy was not the scientist and going to save them,
we got the storyline of him and how he met up with him, right, and how he was ready to
to kill himself and he actually saved his life and the world was coming.
I mean, we got enough of his story arc as far as I was concerned.
Well, I think they're building him up for that and they're going to reconcile that Denise
died where he was supposed to die.
That was supposed to be Abraham.
Abraham should have gotten the arrow through the eye.
If you follow the.
If you follow him, grab him out.
So I think that they're setting us up for a second tier character to die in the final episode.
It's just going to be that much more, you know, crazy or shocking when some of the, not one of the people that you really don't care about dies, but one of the second tier level people.
Right.
Because you first originally, you know, I'm going to jump ahead a little bit, but originally your plan was that it was going to be Daryl and Carol.
Yeah.
Right?
I mean, two top tier.
Yeah.
We're going down.
It's going to be more than that.
And you were, I was with you.
I was with you up until.
the end of the episode last night.
Well.
Because they're not going to kill him now.
Okay, well.
So what did we see?
So we see.
So, okay, so for one, okay, this is another thing that irritated me about all this.
Daryl's like this master tracker.
And he gets caught like that.
Stop it.
Come on.
I know.
Dwight is like his kryptonite.
He can not do anything to this guy.
And what's his face is tied up going,
ooh, oh, oh, no way.
And the saviors are just kind of materialized out of nowhere.
Come on.
No.
All right, now you're winning.
Right.
He's literally got his junk.
Now you're going about you, but for me, that's a sick day.
I'm calling out.
I'm not coming to work next day.
Now you're going to be over.
Just have a bad guy to come up on you.
Come on.
No kidding.
Now you're winning me over.
I'm pissed now.
Okay, so we think that Daryl and what's her name, or Rosie, they're going to go up and save the group,
and we're going to have another thing kind of like last week.
But then, again, Dwight materializes behind him, and then what did he say?
He said, you'll be all right.
He'll be all right.
You'd be all right.
He'll be all right.
And then we see blood splatter on the...
Actually, he'll be all right.
It was after the shot.
Okay, so he's shot.
Because I rewound it because I was like, oh, my gosh.
And I know this is a spoiler alert,
but if you're listening to Talking Walking Dead here on the Blaze Radio Network,
you've seen the episode.
So tough, okay?
Geryl gets shot.
But I rewound it because I, you know, I myself am out loud watching it going,
oh my gosh.
And then...
So I rewound it.
watching it. He shoots, and you can tell where he shoots in the shoulder.
Oh, in the shoulder. And then he said, he'll be all right.
Okay. Well, I don't know. I don't think that that means he's not going to die. I think he's still on a track.
I mean, that was a whole lot of blood. I mean, and it's not like there's a doctor anymore, Denise.
She's not going to take care of him. That's kind of a good point. So, I mean, I'm just.
Don't start bugging me down with facts. Okay.
Darrow, I tell you what, I mean, we could be looking at a massive loss of life on the final episode.
Morgan, Morgan is going to look for Carol and says, hey, but if I don't come back, don't come looking for me.
Morgan is the guy that I would not mind if he got taken out.
I thought so, too, but he's, I know, I know his little self-righteous, don't kill, and all people are good, and everybody can come back, and I'm going to use my stick, and I don't need a gun, and I want to eat my ding-dongs and be happy with.
life. I got it. But, yeah, I know. I know. It drives me crazy. Here's the thing. I think what they're
going to do here with the... And his thought, hold on one second. His thought, I'm sorry, but his
thought is actually infected our group now because now Carol is all winged out being nicey nice.
And he almost got it into Rick a little bit. And he almost got it to Daryl a little bit.
I mean, it's affecting the whole group. You're right. Jason's time for him to go.
I think it'll be great if he just gets acted out. But I think you're going to see him the next
episode because Carol left a survivor surviving, I think that that dude is going to be confronting
Morgan because you see him following him. Yeah, he was following him. So I think Morgan's going to have to have
have a choice there whether, you know, he can't turn that person, like he said, that everybody
could be turned around for the better or is he going to actually have to put up and kill
this guy. So talk about building up, like how
how they're saying they were building up Abraham's storyline,
which to me, I think, I don't know if I made that clear,
I think he's going to die.
Yes, I understood what you were saying.
I think they're going to reconcile that.
He's going to die.
Reconcil that to the graphic novel.
So he's going to be done.
So Abraham's gone.
I think Daryl is a very high probability that he's going to be gone.
Carol could possibly also be gone.
And then, no, do you see how much they built up the Glenn Maggie relationship in this?
The whole, like, sweet loving in the shower.
and all that stuff and how she was watching them as he drove out you know what I mean he
guys and if you listen to the song too if you listen to the song during that scene it keeps
repeating the chorus it's all over it's all over I didn't notice that I did not know
yeah plus well now that could go back to you know her losing the baby right the
because she's ready to lose it right now at the end she was she was ready to lose it
yeah yeah so if she loses the baby that's another that's another member
that we, you know, isn't part of the crowd yet, but still is really part of the crowd.
A big part of our first tier is her baby.
And since she's also in pain, she can't leave the compound.
I was also noticing that.
She can't do anything, yeah.
So she's going to be back in relative safety while Glenn and the rest of the group fighting for the life.
Guys, Glenn's gone.
Glenn is gone.
Graham's gone.
Daryl might be gone.
Glenn is definitely gone.
I'm not sure about Carol.
Okay, because since Carol is off on her own, she may live.
Same with Morgan.
So, but we've got, we've got, we've got Glenn and a Rosita.
He'll keep Rosita though.
Nigan will keep her.
She's a, she's a good, she's a good little hottie to have her.
Yeah, yeah, just say it.
She's a good haughty to have her.
And so she won't die, even if it's just for the workers.
Okay.
Even if it's, even just for the workers who are out struggling, they'll just keep Rosita tied up out back.
Yeah, I was trying to remember that because I've seen that, I read that scene in the comics,
And I can remember how Negan goes down to it.
And doesn't he say he's not going to kill the women?
Does he say something like that?
Yes, and he says in the line of the comics really funny.
I don't want to be called a sexist.
That's right, that's right.
Or racist.
Didn't he say a racist too?
Yeah, I get killed a black kid because I can't be a racist.
I don't want to get down like that.
So it literally...
He goes very funny character.
Even though he's very dark, it's still very funny.
So it literally, I mean, if he goes and starts saying,
if he starts going any mini mini moe because i think that's how he ended up picking it like the
main guy that he killed then just sign glen's death warrant right there because he's i it was
actually probably already signed right last last week when he left but wow what a tease but i don't know
i'm having a hunch that it may be darrell yeah and and and and the reason why is because
look they already did one of the fake out deaths here within this season uh with glen and i think
Darrell just had his like slide under the dumpster moment that glended.
So I think they're going to have to make it pay off.
But it wasn't.
I totally see your point because if they continue to do this,
people would be pissed.
And then you stop believing that anyone can die.
You know what I mean?
If you say, if you continue to save characters like that,
we're not going to believe.
We're starting to believe that the main guys are immortal.
And they're going to, you know, they're important to the story
because if they're a fan favorite, they're going to stay on the show.
I already believe that.
for Daryl or?
I already believe that.
They're immortal.
Oh, do you?
Yeah, I bet you do.
Fan boy.
Yeah, fan boy.
I'm just saying you guys can, you know, bad mouth the show all you want, but I already believe
that they're immortal and they're not going to die and we're looking forward to next week.
Okay, I'm talking walking dead.
