This is the Blaze Radio on demand.
All right.
Walking Dead, season 7, episode 1, preview 2, the talking Walking Dead.
Jeff Fisher, Brad Staggs, Jason Butchrell.
Welcome.
Yes.
Today is the day that I opened up Lucille, my gift from Walking Dead.
And you know what I did?
Because the barbed wire on there, I guess they thought, and we talked.
talked about this. We can't send
anyone with real barb-b-law.
Because if I just hit you with a bat,
it's not going to hurt you.
So I thought...
The bat is heavy. I'm going to try that with a couple of the
producers, so I just hit him over the head with just the
back thinking it's just rubber. It's got to be good.
Right. And this sucker isn't
it's still a bat. This is an assault bat.
Yes, it is an assault bat. There should be, yeah,
in California, there's probably regulations
against this assault bat. You can't
have that bat 25 yards from
a baseball field in California.
Or it's an assault bout.
No question.
But strangely, I tapped it on my head, and the rubber barbed wire actually makes it feel all right.
Oh, okay.
I feel good.
You know, it's a nice wooden carrying case.
It looks really nice.
And thank you, walking dead.
I really appreciate it.
It means a lot to me.
They didn't run that one by their legal department.
That's obvious.
Legal's going to get a hold of that and say, you did what?
You said to show.
What?
I just want to point out, though, that me and Brad didn't get a damn thing, AMC.
Well, I gave you a gift.
Don't worry about us.
We have a theme song for this?
Let's kick this on in style or what?
I'm not doing it.
You're not doing it.
We're just going, I'll end it with the theme.
That's my.
I did get to stand really close to Jeffrey in four-minute buzz.
I'm sorry.
That was it.
That was enough.
All right, so what we wanted to talk about, all right, next week.
Yeah.
We're less than a week away.
As you listen to this, if you're listening before October 23rd, 2016,
we're less than a week away than season seven, episode one.
the 90-minute season premiere.
And there's plenty of rumors going around of who's going to die at the hand of Nagan.
This is everywhere.
Ever since the mid-season finale ended, these rumors instantly started.
Theoryes, people like YouTube personalities, like breaking down the footage and like looking at shadows for crying out loud, blood splatter.
It's been insane.
And there's a couple of websites, and here's a great excuse for it to be.
be Daryl. A great reason for it. He's an original character to the show. So he doesn't have a
backstory. We talked a little bit about that in the last episode that it was supposed to be Daryl's
jacket in the main line of the camera, right?
Yeah. Not buying it. I'm not buying it for the sole fact of the reason why he's still there
is he's such a huge fan favorite. But he's also in more demand in Hollywood now.
So he's got a lot of projects. That's true too. You know. I'm just saying. I don't like the show
as much if Daryl is not there. I don't think I do either. I still like the show, as I'm sure
would too, Jeffie and Bradford.
But I just think it's better
with him there, and I think the producers are going to see that
as well. And he's a crossover character as far
as now that they've broken it up a little bit with
Carol and Morgan going over to Zuland
and the rest of the crew
battling Negan.
Darrell is the one that
keeps Carol straight.
Yeah. And so that crossover,
Darrell can be the one that can bring all of it together,
I think. What about Michone?
Well, let me just hit this point.
as well too, though, is that they just,
they went through this whole thing
of setting up this rivalry between
that one savior guy and Daryl.
Why do you do that if you're setting up this rivalry,
if you're just going to still him?
Yeah, no, no, no.
They have larger plans.
Why do you set up Glenn and Maggie for a happy future?
Well, that's, that was what the comics did.
Right.
You know what I mean?
So, and that, okay.
No one wants Glenn and Maggie to have a happy future.
I'm sorry.
Well, and that's what we were,
that's what we were talking about earlier,
that it is so,
it's so dark.
And Maggie is the other one.
Let's skip ahead to Maggie.
It could be Maggie and that'd be technically two lives because she's pregnant.
But can you can't go that dark or can you?
I think the show could.
Oh, I just don't think you can do that on TV.
So there was another rumor.
There's a guy that has a really popular YouTube channel.
It's not that one guy I was telling you about, but this is a different guy.
I think his name is 9-9 Gaming.
He's got his own YouTube channel and check him out.
He's got some interesting theories out there.
But he had a recent theory saying that he thought it was actually going to be Maggie and Glenn together.
Good ridd.
He thought that Maggie would be the first one to get it.
And Glenn would be so pissed.
Exactly.
I mean, that's my argument is where we get the two guys, the two people killing.
It doesn't have to be guys.
But where we get the two people dead is that, A, he told nobody to move.
And he told, you know it's not Carl because he told him to watch the boy or the baby or whatever over there.
And he doesn't kill kids.
And typically not women either.
Right.
But he said somebody who's going to get, you know, so I thought that someone will get, you know, so pissed that he'll have to do the second one.
Yeah.
You know, made me do it.
Yeah.
And that's what pissed him off.
I think that's what gets us to the so angry pissed off moment with Rick in the trailer.
Now, I'm sticking with that.
I think you're correct, Jeffie.
I think that it is going to be two people instead of one.
but the creators came out and said when all the speculation was going around that we are going to deviate a little bit.
We are going to deviate.
So what you read in the comics, it won't exactly be the same.
So I really don't, yeah, I don't think that you can just kill off Glenn.
Glenn's got to die.
I just don't think that they're, I don't think they'll stop there.
If they're going to deviate some, it means they're adding another, in my opinion.
See, the prevailing theory is because Abraham is so big, I mean, physically large, that you take him out first.
Remember his face?
when Nagan was doing a Zini Mini.
Yeah, and he was the only one looking up.
Yeah.
Looking straight at Ney.
Like, evil eye style.
Yeah.
So if you're Negan, I can't even do that sound that he does that's so creepy in the trailer.
He's really the only one that would seem like a threat because he has military, you know what I mean, foreign military, the biggest and strongest dude there.
The guy.
The guy's looking right at you.
You know that.
Isn't that what you did in prison, Jeff?
He went for the biggest guy, biggest meanest guy and just took him out.
I mean, I say that.
But if you'd really like to know how I survived in prison, I'll talk about.
tell you some other day.
Oh, my ears.
Talking Walking Dead on the Blaze
Radio, thank you very much.
And plus, I think my actual
justification for the Abraham theory
was that he's not supposed to be there.
And they'll eventually want to
reconcile somehow, you know what I mean?
They don't want to make the plot seem perfectly.
They don't want them to line up perfectly because they don't want you to say,
oh, I know what happens next. I read this in the comics.
Oh, I know what happens next.
Which I did. I went back. Have you read the synopsis of what
happens in the comics? Yeah.
Have you?
Oh, you can't tear me away from the comic books,
but I have so much time.
I was going through episode 552 last night,
just to recap.
It is just so dark.
It is such a dark future.
That's what I said.
That's why I was reading 552 again.
Right.
Just bathing in the darkness?
And then Maggie, because we were talking about this a little while,
if it is Glenn, Maggie has a miscarriage.
So she might have a miscarriage anyway because of the poison, right?
Because she was poisoned.
She was getting sick, and I think that's what killed the baby.
So how do you survive any of that?
Yes, it is.
I like to point those out.
Enid.
Yep.
I just want to say we called it.
So if it actually comes true.
A long freaking time ago.
Everyone go back and listen to that podcast.
Enid is going to come walking out as one of the savers, isn't she?
That's possible.
But I don't know why.
Actually, it's possible, but I don't know why Negan would tip that hand.
I don't think he's going to tip it yet.
You can't tip that yet.
Keep letting her provide intel.
Yeah, but I think that eventually she'll come walking out.
It'll be she'll walk out as one of his wives or girlfriends.
Or she'll get caught talking to him.
Yeah.
You know, when he's walking through and everybody has to bow down as he walks by.
Now, Brad, you mentioned Michon right before I cut you off there.
And I think that is a very intriguing theory.
Yes, it is.
The thing is that I remember thinking that that relationship, I didn't buy the relationship.
The Rick Michone?
Yeah, it just seemed forced to me.
I was like, why are we doing this?
It sure did seem forced.
I think the only reason that we did it is because we introduced a gay couple.
We had to introduce a biracial couple.
That's the reason we did it.
I really honestly believe that.
Although I could see, okay, you're surrounded by...
Because it felt that way.
And we introduced a lesbian couple.
We introduced the gay couple.
We introduced the lesbian couple.
And now we've introduced the biracial couple.
So I honestly believe that's why it felt forced because.
it was and if anything it would have been a hey it's the end of the world whatever
you're lonely I'm lonely let's do this thing as opposed to the hand touching the hand
and right yeah yes let's just yeah that was one of two relationships and plot lines and
Abraham was the biracial another biracial too right so that that was again that's what I was
going to say is like that that relationship there how he was breaking away from her that one felt
right that one felt kind of that one felt like that was an okay that felt right he was breaking
away from his hotness I'm blanking on her name for a second Sasha
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Miss Hotness.
Yes.
Let's call her Miss Hottness.
That was what her name.
That was what her name was, yes.
So he broke from Miss Hottness and went to Sasha, and I didn't make any sense to me because they had been an item the entire time.
I was like, why are they making such a big deal of this right now unless one of them is going to die?
You know what I mean?
Right.
Yeah, yeah.
There you go.
Which gives us back to Abraham?
More to Abraham.
Well, I hear everyone's screaming at the radio right now saying, I know what the girlfriend's name was.
Or they're screaming at their phones listening to the podcast.
I'm old school. It's always
radio. That's ridiculous so we can't remember.
But anyway, so I think...
Our internet doesn't work. That's weird.
That does give credence to
possibly a Michone
death, but
this is the thing that kind of tramples that
down is she's kind of intricate and
pivotal in
the plot lines going forward in the comics.
So we actually need her for plot lines
later. Rosita.
Rosita. Yes.
I like to tell us, but... She's the one
that's from Dallas, right?
Crap.
No, not.
Not in real life.
I mean, that's where they came from.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
She came through Dallas.
She came through Dallas and through, they hooked up with Abraham and Louisiana and came back across, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because that was our Dallas connection at the time.
I felt like, oh, okay, good.
They were coming back across the country.
Right, they were here and I missed them?
Right, they're coming back across the country.
Oh, that's the end of the world here too.
See, it's so, Abraham is so dying first.
I think so, too.
Oh, you know what?
You know what, actually, crap.
Would Glenn jump up if Abraham got killed?
Would Glenn really?
Or would Abraham jump up when Glenn gets killed?
Abraham might jump up if Glenn got killed, maybe.
See, I'm at the point now where I think it's just a shoe-in that those two are going to die.
I just don't know which one gets at first.
But if you look at the picture with the trailer, it's Maggie, looking from the camera's point of view,
Maggie to the left of Rick.
So she would have been the goo on the ground.
See, this is where you start going down the rabbit hole.
I know.
Because the camera comes straight down after Rick is tossed into the trailer.
It comes straight down from where.
See what AMC has done.
But you think it comes straight down.
See, it comes back from the trailer.
The trailer comes back from the trailer from the Winnebago.
Guys, pause this podcast right now and just Google this stuff on you or just search for it in YouTube.
We'll see.
We'll give you a second.
Go ahead.
Okay, there you go.
Now literally, now that you've just watched that, did you see all of the?
those theories. They literally pause frame by frame and they look at shadows and blood splatter.
It is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life, how they're breaking it down.
Why is it ridiculous? These are important things. They're just throwing people off.
AMC has done it. They're throwing us off. These are good first world problems.
You're throwing us up. All right, now I'm pissed at AMC for that. All right. But I can't be mad at them
for that because thank you for my Lucille bet. Oh yes. For pausing each frame and making us think that it's
somebody else who died when all we want to know.
is who died because we care for them.
And that's why they won't kill Darrell.
I think so, too.
I don't think Darrell dies.
No way, Darrell gets a pay raise is what Darrell gets.
No way.
Daryl does not die.
Rick does not die.
Carl does not die.
Sasha might.
Sasha could die.
She's expendable.
And if Sasha dies, that would bring up Abraham for the second one, right?
Because he gets pissed.
That's a good call, too.
They could throw, and part of this that I've been seeing online is people said,
Well, we were at an event where the producers were there,
and they said it was this could all, they could.
At all play it.
Yes.
It's all a ruse.
So did you guys watch the New York Comic-Con, like a 45-minute panel or whatever?
Oh, yeah.
I've watched that three times now.
Jason.
Come on.
Of course.
Right.
Right, right.
The other day I was thumbing through the comic book 554.
Oh, that's a good issue.
I was waiting for the 45-minute Comic-Con panel to,
to load while I was thumbing through that.
Why? What was it? What was it? Quickly.
If they're waiting for you, they're waiting for you on the Tommy show.
Tommy show. Yeah, Tommy Larry.
Do they realize that you're recording, talking, walking dead with me? I know. Yeah, just like, wait.
Make your point.
He'll be right there. Make your point so you can go.
You'll be right freaking there.
So in that panel, the woman, I'm going to force you to Google again, that plays Maggie.
Anyway, whatever. The lady plays Maggie.
She's sitting up there, and they ask a question about how emotional it was dealing with, you know, the death or whatever.
She instantly turns to Glenn, the actor that plays Glenn, and she loses it.
Like, seriously.
Oh, my gosh, in real life.
In real life.
So that's a good sign right there.
So everyone right now, stop and go to YouTube and watch that thing.
We'll give you a couple of seconds.
Go ahead.
And there you go.
Okay, there you go.
Now, did you see that?
She starts bawling.
Oh, my gosh.
Balling.
Which is part of the producer's grand plan to throw us off.
I don't think.
I don't think so.
She was legitimately torn up.
And I was like, holy crap, Glenn is so going down.
Oh, my gosh.
That right there.
But she, like, she misunderstood the question or, like, someone, like, brought to the fact that she didn't,
she thought that maybe everyone that was, like, in the panel or whatever kind of knew what was going on or something.
Right, right, right.
There was some controversy.
But then Glenn literally starts patting her on the leg.
I said, you know, it's okay.
It's okay.
It's okay.
down. I was like, holy crap, man. This is going to be good, man. If it's this emotional,
it's going to be good. So we'll see you next Monday on Talking Walking Dead. Of course,
one of the co-host won't be here on the premiere season seven edition of Talking Walking Dead.
But can I hit Jason over the head with Lucille just once for practice?
Absolutely. Have a good week. We'll see you next week.
