Starting point is 00:00:00 With Amex Platinum, you have access to over 1,400 airport lounges worldwide. So your experience before takeoff is a taste of what's to come. That's the powerful backing of Amex. Conditions apply. Blaze Radio Network. And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher. So I've had this headline in my head for, I don't know, since last night and it just kind of irked me. The headline is, why so many people are having strokes in their 20s, 30s, and 40s.
Starting point is 00:00:34 We've never had patients so young. Huh. Let's see. Strokes are on the rise among younger people with recent CDC report revealing a 14.6% increase among people aged 14 to 44 within the 2020 to 2022. While the alarming trend has been seen. stumping medical professionals. One expert has shared some intriguing theories.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Oh, really? I wonder what he's thinking about. Let's see. We feel that it's possible that these young adults that are having strokes in their 20s, maybe they're drinking, you know, I don't know, too many energy drinks. Sure. Okay, sure, we can say that. And, I mean, we don't know how much caffeine.
Starting point is 00:01:29 Well, we actually do know how much caffeine is in the energy drinks. I know, I know. But the reasons are not fully understood yet. Well, what else could there be? I mean, there's a rise in the traditional cerebral vascular risk factors. You know, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity. Uh-huh. And there's some lifestyle factors, of course, stress, long working hours, and physical and activity have also been suggested as contributing factors.
Starting point is 00:01:56 Uh-huh. And what about the caffeine? Yeah, that too. Yeah, and those energy drinks, I mean, holy cow, those things. Some of those energy drinks have 400 milligrams of caffeine per day. I mean, per can. No, some of them actually have, I want to get it right, okay? Some of the energy drinks have 200 milligrams of caffeine a can.
Starting point is 00:02:22 You're only supposed to have 400 a day, okay? So with the one can You're getting half the daily dosage That you're supposed to have But there's no clear evidence A direct link Between energy drinks and stroke Several studies have reported the risk
Starting point is 00:02:40 Of you know the hypertension And the cardiac arrhythmia Yeah you know But we just don't know what is causing these people To have strokes Huh Well you know what you know It's the Adderall
Starting point is 00:02:51 It's the Adderall that's on the rise and the ease at which it can people can get it especially with this damn telehealth and people having access to health care physicians that are just
Starting point is 00:03:05 writing those adterol prescriptions huh yeah so maybe it's that we don't know we're guessing though it's funny that throughout this entire story not one mention of that
Starting point is 00:03:22 not one mention could it possibly be that could it we're looking into it being that nope no mention of that whatsoever you know what it's it's got to be the energy drinks or the adderol oh okay what about that oh wait we didn't even mention that it just drives me insane
Starting point is 00:03:43 at least I thought we were at a point now where we're going to at least admit that it could possibly be that What was I thinking? Welcome. Welcome to chewing the fat. I was just given some amazing news. All right.
Starting point is 00:04:18 So if you're listening live, today is the 4th of June 2025. So coming up July 30th of this year, almost two months from now, William Shatner is going to be live on stage in DFW. Okay. we've got to get William Shatner on the show. He's going to be in town. They're doing this Star Trek to the wrath of con filming. Then he's doing a question and answer thing.
Starting point is 00:04:44 It's going to be live on stage. And it'll be fun. It's going to be at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, the Texas Theater, and Mills Entertainment present William Shatner live on stage. You can get tickets available now. And I've got to talk to William Shatner. Now I'd like to have him in studio. But if he's hawking this event,
Starting point is 00:05:03 Right? We're going to talk. We've got to talk to him before. Now, obviously he's, I mean, come on now, he's William Shatner. There's a lot to talk about. This man has been a TV star for a long time. But we most definitely have to talk to him about his trip to space. I mean, who can forget William Shatner live in space? God. Weightlessness. Oh, Jesus. Carmen Line Okay No description All right stop I don't know that I'm going to play it for William this way But I mean
Starting point is 00:05:41 I don't think that I can listen to William Shatner In space Without listening to it under You know Music Weightlessness Oh Jesus Carmar line.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Yes. No description. Can equal this. Oh, weightlessness. This is nuts. Oh, my God. Have you think Bill would be pissed? Or where do you go with it?
Starting point is 00:06:23 Oh, I'm telling you. Holy hell. Oh, my goodness me. Oh, goodness me. Oh. Oh, wow. I can't believe this. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:38 We have to play that for me. I have to. It would be a go against everything in me to have William Shatner. Okay, here's the deal. If he comes in studio, if I can get William Shadder in studio, we'll do it. We'll do that. If he's on the phone and just hawk in the event, that's kind of tough to do. We won't get the bit.
Starting point is 00:06:58 You won't understand it. He's like 100 now. We won't understand it. but so if he's in studio if I can get him in studio we go william shatner right here in the chewing the fat studios here at mercury studios and dfdb come on now we will do it I promise you so that that has to happen right
Starting point is 00:07:19 right I will never forget seeing that live and all I could hear was the porn music underneath it never I'll never forget it never because all I could hear the entire time what then it was happening live in front of me. I'm at my house going, oh my gosh, where's the porn music? I had to wait until the next morning to do it live on the show. I just had to, I couldn't wait hardly. That's all I could hear in my head. So we definitely, if you know Bill, hello. Tell him, tell him he needs to be on. He needs to be on chewing the fat. We need William Shatner
Starting point is 00:07:56 on this program. If you don't know Bill, we'll go ahead and reach out to him anyway and let him know he needs to be out in the show. Okay. Okay, so it's that that time of year again that we're finding out what CEOs make for all these companies. And, you know, we had the big news that Elon Musk was the lowest paid
Starting point is 00:08:24 CEO of an S&P 500 company. Tesla paid him $0.00. And Elon responded on X by saying, zero for seven years, despite increasing the value of the company 2,000%.
Starting point is 00:08:40 And so, I mean, it's an argument of what, you know, is what you pay CEOs worth it, right? I mean, there was just a big story about the Warner Brothers Discovery shareholders meeting that voted down the pay increase of their CEO. So their stockholders meeting had the investors vote down a non, this is key, non-binding advisory to a measure to approve the compensation package for, is. Zazlap and the company's other named executive officers according to the SEC filing. So it's referred to as a say on pay vote designed to give shareholders a voice in expressing their approval or disapproval of exec compensation. Well, they reported the tallies and there were 724.5 million shares voted for the executive compensation package.
Starting point is 00:09:37 and there were 1.06 billion shares voted against the measure, meaning almost 60% of the votes cast were against the pay packages. In addition, there were 5.69 million shares that did not vote, those people who didn't care, the absenteeism, and there were other broker non-votes that are all part of the deal. So Zazlov's pay package rose for last year rose 4.4%. He made $51.9 million. that's a good
Starting point is 00:10:09 year. So according to the company's latest proxy statement his base salary was only 3 million I say only 3 million and he received
Starting point is 00:10:17 stock rewards of 23.1 million and then he had a bonus compensation of 23.9 million. That's a nice bonus. 23.9 million? Yeah. And then there was some
Starting point is 00:10:29 other compensation nuggets in there for a little over a million. You know, just he probably spits on that. That's taken people lunch, stuff like that. So,
Starting point is 00:10:40 now they, of course, they voted against him, making that much again. That's a non-binding vote. So that's probably not going to happen. We'll pay him what we want. So the other Warner Brothers' Discovery's top executive, the CFO,
Starting point is 00:10:58 Gunner O. Edenville, makes $17 million. And he's made that for the last couple of years. So he hasn't even gotten a raise in the last couple of years. How is he getting by? on just $17 million a year. Ouch.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Exactly. The chief revenue and strategy officer, Bruce Campbell, 19.8 million, up 8% from the year before. Global streaming and games CEO and president J.B. Perrette, 19.7 million.
Starting point is 00:11:28 And that's down a couple of percent. And the international president made 14.8 million. So those, I mean, maybe they cut they cut a couple million off of those guys to appease the
Starting point is 00:11:41 you know the shareholder vote well we cut them down you were right we were paying them too much but there's no way as well as well taking a pay cut sorry that's not going to happen if it does they'll decrease his base salary which it was 3 million right
Starting point is 00:11:59 so they'll say you know what you're right we're only going to pay him two million dollars a year base salary stock options are still going to be 20 or 30 million still going to have that little executive bonus in there for 10 million and you know those little expenditures yeah those are going to be
Starting point is 00:12:17 for another million on that as well I mean holy cow it's just it's they're worth it I'm not saying it's not worth it I'm just saying that's a lot of money you make a 50 million dollars a year that's that's a lot of money you can quote me on that that is a lot of money now I was looking at some of the other CEOs
Starting point is 00:12:37 what they make. So the number one, highest paid CEO, Axon Enterprises, Rick Smith. And you don't know who Rick is? If you saw him, you'd go,
Starting point is 00:12:48 oh, yeah, that guy. I saw his face behind a limo glass not long ago. He made $164.53 million. That's, of course,
Starting point is 00:13:05 with Stock Awards, and other little incentives in there. But it all worked out to be $164.53 million. Then number two, you have Lawrence Culpe Jr. And I love Larry at GE Aerospace. He pulled in $88.95 million, earning the number two slot. Wow, good for him.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Stephen Schwartzman from Blackstone. Wow, he's in third place. He's got to bump up a little bit. He only made $84.3 million. Wow. Tim Cook, Apple. Everybody knows Tim Apple. Number four on the list.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Tim brought home $74.61 million. What a bum. What a bum. Number five, Joseph Bay, from KKR. he is a co-CEO okay so his package was uh oh no i'm sorry his payment was a 73.09 million dollars although he's co-ceeo does it does it say what is that the other ningoberry got paid as much uh david getlin k kkhar co-ceo um son i'm a gentleman john town town highs but yeah he's in there yeah it doesn't say exactly how much but it It says business leaders that made up the rest of the 10 highest paid S&P 500 CEOs,
Starting point is 00:14:41 Carrier Global CEO, David Gittlin, KKR, co-CEO, Scott Nuttall, so he either made as much or right around that same $78.9 million. Netflix, co-CEO, Ted Sarandos, yeah, I mean, and Simon Property Group. Simon Property Group, how much money I want it, I'd like to see that. Because those guys are hurting. They've been selling property and cut it, losing. losing jobs all over the world. But hey, I'm sure he's fine.
Starting point is 00:15:09 He's doing a fine job, keeping that company afloat, making 50, 60, 70 million, if they're in the top 10, and the fifth guy is 73.9. So the next five are going to be somewhere between 50 and 70 million. That's good pay wage. That's good pay wage.
Starting point is 00:15:30 So I know you people that voted for the Warner Brothers CEO, and all their helpers to not make their pay. Ha, that's cute of you. That's real cute of you. Boarding for flight 246 to Toronto is delayed 50 minutes. Ugh, what? Sounds like Ojo time. Play Ojo? Great idea.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Feel the fun with all the latest slots in live casino games and with no wagering requirements. What you win is yours to keep. Groovy. Hey, I won! Feel the fun. The thing will begin when passenger Fisher is done celebrating. plus Ontario only. Please play responsibly.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Concerned by your gambling or that if someone close, you call 1-866531-2-6-0 or visit ComexOntario.ca. In business, they say you can have better, cheaper, or faster, but you can only get to pick two. Well, what if you could have all three at the same time? That's exactly what co-hear Thompson Reuters and specialized bikes have, since they upgraded to the next generation of the cloud, Oracle Cloud infrastructure. OCI is a blazing fast platform for your infrastructure, database, application, development, and AI needs, where you can run any workload in a high availability, consistently high performance environment,
Starting point is 00:17:06 and spend less than you would with other clouds. How is it faster, you ask? OCI's block storage gives you more operations per second. Cheaper? Yes, OCI costs up to 50% less for compute, 70% less for storage, 80% less for networking. Okay, how about better? Yeah, in test after test,
Starting point is 00:17:27 OCI customers report lower latency and higher bandwidth versus other clouds. This is the cloud built for AI and all your biggest workloads. Right now, with zero commitment, try OCI for free. Head to oracle.com slash jeff. That's oracle.com slash Jeff.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Zero commitment, try OCI for free oracle.com slash jeff okay so do they have the bees cleaned up or not so a couple days ago 250 million bees were on the loose apparently
Starting point is 00:18:07 the truck carrying these bees crashed I don't know how the truck crashed I don't know what happened I just know it was hauling all these bees and then it overturned Ouch more than out I mean there were bees everywhere
Starting point is 00:18:21 where. And they've been busy. I know they were busy trying to clean them up. They said that 70,000 pounds of honeybee hives on board came off the truck unleashing all the bees. So, which they claimed $250 million. I don't know. It might have been
Starting point is 00:18:39 $250 million and one. Might have been $249,999. I don't know. But they wanted to, at the time, this was a couple of days ago, they told people to avoid the area, due to potential of bee escape and swarming. Yes, no problem.
Starting point is 00:18:57 Now, master beekeepers showed up to help out because that's what beekeepers do. Oh, there's a problem? Yeah, I'll show up. And they helped out. And what the plan was is to rehive and, you know, find the queen bee. So they were put the boxes out and they were going to give them a couple of days to show up and find their queen.
Starting point is 00:19:19 And the goal was to get. as many bees back as possible. So I haven't seen a report how they're doing with the bees, but they were telling people at least, and they said 24 to 48 hours. So this happened a couple of, and I think it happened on the first,
Starting point is 00:19:36 which was Sunday. So this is Wednesday, if you're listening live, so should have, that's more than 48 hours. So hopefully, hopefully they've got this taken care of. There was no word on the, crash. It looks weird how it crashed.
Starting point is 00:19:53 So did the driver, I'm not blaming the truck driver. I'm not going to do it. It's not the truck driver's fault. Someone swerved in front of him, something. And so, thank you to all the beekeepers that showed up to rescue the pollinating honeybees. We appreciate
Starting point is 00:20:11 everything you, you beekeepers do whenever you do it. But be careful up there in Washington. This is not the only story. You know, I was I was going to go one of two ways after this story in my head. I was going to tell you about the elephant, the Thai elephant that's ravaging the neighbor.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Deciding that it's going to go in stores and break everything. And it owns this city is really. This elephant just owns the city. And it walks along the street. And then when it wants something, it just takes it. And people are like, oh, okay. Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha. So this elephant, I guess it's a wild element,
Starting point is 00:20:48 elephant from the national park in northeastern Thailand and yeah it just shows up it goes off the trail and it just wanders along the street and then it says oh there's a grocery store I guess I'll go in are you stopping the elephant from going into the grocery store no you are not
Starting point is 00:21:04 and are you going to stop the elephant named Plybinglich P-L-A-I-B-A-N-G-G-L-E-K P-E-L-E-K Amorpha-Falus Exactly I don't know that they call him that but I would. And he just shows up and starts eating things and destroying things because, well, he can't.
Starting point is 00:21:27 So I don't know how long they're going to let Ply-Bang-Legh wander around this town and snack on what he wants. But that needs to happen soon. Somebody needs to remind the old Ply-Bang-Lek that, uh, hello, you are an elephant, we are humans. We'll put you down. Yeah, we'll put you down. But not yet.
Starting point is 00:21:52 They're not letting that happen now. And the shops are, I guess, okay with it saying, yeah, it would just, I mean, once he comes in your store, what are you going to do? Yeah, I mean, that's, you're going to take pictures and hopefully people will show up your store and buy goods from the store that the elephant goes to best you could do. So, but the whole time that I'm doing the Washington B story, and I'm telling you about it, all I can think of is this horrible story out of Washington. It's just horrible.
Starting point is 00:22:25 And I was reading it last night, and I sat on my back porch last night, reading this story, wondering how does someone go on from this? I mean, it's just horrible. And I mean this sincerely. So this is in Wenatchi, Wenatchee, W-N-A-T-C-H-E-E-W-N-E-W-N-A-T-C-H-E, Washington. Amorphophalus.
Starting point is 00:22:51 No, it's not how they pronounce it. But it's in Washington and the B's story, as I'm telling you, I'm thinking about this story. And the couple is divorced. The dad is homeless. He has visitation rights of the kids. Three daughters. He goes and gets them, doesn't come back.
Starting point is 00:23:14 The mom says that she was worried about the safety of the girls and the guy. They put out an amber alert. Now they're looking for him for murder. They found, I mean, he, someone, they're assuming the dad, killed these three little girls. And it's just, I mean, so now the mom, you know, I mean, she's got the ex-husband,
Starting point is 00:23:40 someone you loved that she had children with on the run. I guess apparently there was, you know, mental issues. Really? there were some serious mental issues going on, but she said she never thought that it would bleed into affecting how he treated their daughters.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Well, it did. And these three beautiful girls, nine, eight, and five. And I stood and looked at their picture and thought, I don't know how, I mean, just this woman needs your,
Starting point is 00:24:15 if you pray, pray for them. if you do nice thoughts do nice thoughts for him them um the decker sisters uh do some nice thoughts for their mom now you can pray for Travis Decker the dad um
Starting point is 00:24:37 or you can pray for Whitney Decker the mom because really for me I would say uh the mom uh the dad is out of his mind and on the run I don't know how you I just
Starting point is 00:24:52 I don't even know why I'm talking to you about it because I don't know how someone goes on from not only losing a husband now and will he probably is he going to kill himself probably
Starting point is 00:25:09 either by his own hand or by police on the run and now you have you three beautiful daughters gone just horrible but that's all I was thinking about when I was doing the stupid B story
Starting point is 00:25:27 was my point and I know just stop looking at me like that let's go to the break room and we'll move on I don't want to drink no although
Starting point is 00:25:38 although all right fine let's go to the break room and if that's what you're serving that's what we'll have so just It's been five years since the George Floyd riots turned Minneapolis upside down, and really the country. Well, right now, Blaze TV just dropped an explosive investigation, and you need to see it.
Starting point is 00:26:14 For the first time ever, three active duty Minneapolis police officers are speaking out on camera anonymously to tell the truth about what really happened. These guys were on the front lines when the third precinct was abandoned and burned. They're still on the job, still in uniform, and what they reveal about Derek Chauvin and Governor Tim Wals and the breakdown of law and order in that city is absolutely jaw-dropping. They say Chauvin was railroaded. Yeah, we saw that. Walls completely failed him.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Yeah, we saw that. And that they're risking their lives every day in a city that's turned its back on them. Yeah. So here's the deal. You can watch the first 10 minutes for free right now on YouTube. Just search Blaze TV Minneapolis.
Starting point is 00:27:00 M-I-N-N-E-A-P-O-L-I-S. Blaze TV, Minneapolis. And to see the full on filtered investigation, well, you need to be a subscriber to Blaze TV. And don't look at me. I told them, hey, release it all.
Starting point is 00:27:16 They didn't listen to me. They said, no, you need to become a subscriber. So go to Blaze, do you get, yeah, they gave you, like, what, 10 minutes? 10 minutes for free? You're welcome. All right, I did the best I could for you. I'll go to blazedtv.com slash jeffy.

But one of the things that helps keep it free is your subscription to Blaze TV. So go to blazTV.com slash Jeffey and get $20 off your subscription right now.

Starting point is 00:28:40 You can order a cameo from me anytime at Jeffey JFR on the cameo app. I believe I signed up for their little Father's Day special. So it's a deal now, so it's worth less, you have to pay more
Starting point is 00:28:55 Or I mean, less than you normally would. So, I mean, it's a lot more. So you're saving a lot of money. Save it a lot. I broke down. Anyway, so at Jeffrey JFR on the Cameo app, it's worth every doggone nickel. Okay?
Starting point is 00:29:12 See, I don't like the nickel sound. I don't like it. Worth every doggone penny works for me. Every doggone nickel sounds so cheap to me. I just, is it me? Yeah, I know it's me. All right. So we've all been Rick rolled before, right?
Starting point is 00:29:28 We have all been Rick rolled. So Rick Ashley, apparently they're saying is getting the last laugh. Ah! So this is 1987. 1987 is when never going to give you up came out. Wow. And then it started, thanks to social media, started to become people getting Rick rolled. And Spotify now says that people are actively choosing to listen to the song.
Starting point is 00:29:53 it's now reached over one billion streams on Spotify for Rick Ashley never going to give you off so if you've been Rick rolled he's happy with it he's happy with it because it's making him a little cash
Starting point is 00:30:16 he is never going to give you off baby never this might get the Rolling Stones Rolling Stones out of my head so okay I can't do the whole thing I just I can't I can't I can't no I can't I can't I can't do the whole thing
Starting point is 00:30:55 I let you get to the chorus I just I can't I don't know that it's going to get the stone songs out of my head because I told you remember the last song on Mobland this week for the season finale was sympathy for the devil
Starting point is 00:31:09 the last song on your friends and neighbors was a give me shelter which one of probably one of my favorite songs by the Stones all time. But both songs were awesome. I put the stones both songs in my stupid head. And I don't think being Rick rolled
Starting point is 00:31:24 is going to take the stones away. And I see where Stranger Things, season 5, is announced as the final season. Duh. It's about time. It's called Stranger Things Nursing Home. They're all adult now grown.
Starting point is 00:31:44 So it's the final season. Releasing in three parts. All right. I know. I didn't do this. Okay, this is Netflix, not me. So you get four episodes on November 26. Then you get three episodes on Christmas Day.
Starting point is 00:32:01 And then you get the finale on New Year's Eve. So, I mean, it's kind of cute. It's kind of cute. But that's about it. Just drop them. All right, just do what you do. Just do what you do, Netflix. Here's a show.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Watch it. Do what you do. don't try to be cute with your little hey we've got the NFL and now we're doing four episodes here and two episodes here and the finale here and hey what do what you do
Starting point is 00:32:33 just release the stupid shows all right I made it through did I talk about on Monday I think I did I made it through department Q this weekend I need something new I know, I know. Maybe I could sit through the Ken Burns
Starting point is 00:32:57 Leonardo da Vinci documentary. So Ken Burns is exploring the life and genius of Leonardo da Vinci in his first non-American documentary, a two-part PBS special. When is Ken going to win? When can I watch this? that. I know it's been out for a while, but I haven't had an opportunity to sit through four
Starting point is 00:33:24 hours of a Ken Burns two-part documentary on Leonardo da Vinci, which I'm sure is, I know, I know. Leonardo is there, and I might get there sitting through that stupid thing. It might be worth it. They say it's nice. I mean, he brought the whole damn family, and I was reading a story about it at one point, And it was talking about how his wife was co-directing and his daughter and son-in-law were there helping with the editing
Starting point is 00:33:54 and they all moved to Florence, Italy, as they were preparing for the documentary. I mean, so wonderful that the family got together. We could be a family and we could make documentaries, you know, that never end. And I get paid for it. And so we all make a little money from it. Good for him. Actually, good for Ken Burns on that.
Starting point is 00:34:15 But am I going to sit down? through that this weekend. Dude, we can start Kevin Burns, Leonardo Da Vinci. Go ahead. Let's put it on. Do we have it? Yeah, it's right there. It's hockey season, and you can get

Starting point is 00:35:35 Who died today? Well, let's begin with Shigeo Nagasima. What'd you call me? Shiguel Nagasima. Once voted Japan's most famous sports stars has died at the age of. 89. They said he had pneumonia at a hospital in Tokyo
Starting point is 00:35:56 and he didn't pull through. So he was, I mean, this guy was awesome to Japanese baseball. Nine straight titles with the team in the 60s and 70s played 2,186 games hitting 444 home runs. He was the guy.
Starting point is 00:36:14 He was the man. Banzai! Banzai! Banzai! I don't know that they were I don't know that they were cheering that. But rest in peace to Shigio Nagoshima,
Starting point is 00:36:26 dead at the age of 89. Banzai! Banzai! Banzai! Pretty sure they weren't doing that. Also, I saw where this college soccer player, Chase Stiegle,
Starting point is 00:36:43 has passed away at the age of 20, and it doesn't say what killed him. He was in the dorms. I mean, we can just assume what probably killed him. But the story, which fascinated me about it, okay? So I'm sad that this, I'm very sad this young man died. He had a great future ahead of him. So whatever happened to him, you know, I'm sad that it happened to him.
Starting point is 00:37:04 But this whole story is actually about his dad. I mean, the kid's dad was a former NFL player. Played in the Canadian Football League, big star on the Canadian Football League, never quite made it to a big level in the NFL, but he played in the NFL. and so the whole story is about his dad, former wide receiver in a CFL Hall of favor, Milton Stigle. His son died. And it talks about how he was a rising star in soccer
Starting point is 00:37:30 and I'm very sad that he died at DePaul University. They was in the dorms and they found him dead. And there was no, nobody listed anything. What happened? So, okay, all right, fine, no problem. So rest in peace to Casey. Casey, no, it's
Starting point is 00:37:53 I gotta do that again. Did I call, what did I call him first off? Okay, all right, so I'm gonna edit that, I'm gonna start that with rest and peace. So rest and peace to Chase Stagall. Chase Stegal.
Starting point is 00:38:11 I know that you're the son of Milton, but, you know, you mattered too, Chase. Dead, dead at the age of 20. Very sad. Then I saw a story where two people, died and 500 were arrested in France during these soccer celebrations. So it doesn't name the people that died, but I guess they were part of the celebration
Starting point is 00:38:38 crowd. And you think to yourself, ah, it's France. And it's soccer. Ah, that's fine. You know, today starts the pilgrimage to Mecca. You know, in Saudi Arabia, go to the Hage or the Hage or whatever they, however they, pronounce it. Hage.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Oh, you're working today. So it's Hage. Hage. Yeah. Be careful there because they trample people all every year at the... Hage. Yeah. So just be careful because you're on your way to Mecca and I don't want any bad things to happen there.
Starting point is 00:39:15 But it's possible that it has... Oh, another thing that has died is the Blake Lively case against Beldoni. I know. I thought, I know I was looking forward to it too, but a judge said, yeah, you know what, this is going to be history. We're done with it. So, Beldoni was filing a motion. He wanted to compel Blake to turn over all her medical records.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And Blake was not having any of that. So now she's saying that she's going to withdraw her complaints. So, okay, I guess it's over. I guess the case is dead now, right? I guess. Yeah, so we'll see what happens between the Baldoni Blake Lively case. That was quite the little back and forth. it kind of hurt me.
Starting point is 00:40:25 You know, because Blake is, the way she's looked at me over the years and it's just been embarrassing. And I try to tell her, don't, Blake, stop looking at me like that. It's embarrassing. But she won't,
Starting point is 00:40:37 she, he continues to look at me like that. And I just didn't want her all tied up in this. This is all murky and messy and it just isn't, isn't her style. But maybe it is. And remember, we still have the wildfires going on
Starting point is 00:40:54 and the Saharan dust. coming across so if you're experiencing irritated eyes and nose and throat you end up sounding yeah it's probably because of the wildfires and it could be because of the Saharan dust we don't know we don't know just we know that
Starting point is 00:41:15 there were a couple hundred over a couple hundred wildfires in Canada and over a hundred of them were listed as out of control. So that was, smoke was supposed to be coming into the U.S., the northern states, Minnesota, Michigan, and it was supposed to come down into Texas across the Midwest.
Starting point is 00:41:38 And then we have the Sahara dust coming across the Atlantic into the, yeah, yeah. I mean, it's definitely that. So air quality is crazy. I bet you air quality in the upper, Peninsula, you know, up here, not the lower peninsula, but the lower peninsula is probably hitting a little bit of that smoke, but the upper peninsula. I mean, that's darn near Canada.
Starting point is 00:42:01 So it's on fire as well. And so just be careful. Be careful when you go outside up there because, yeah, running around coughing and blowing your crap on everybody. Nobody wants that. This episode is brought to you by Peloton. A new era of fitness is here. Introducing the new Peloton Cross Training Tread Plus, powered by Peloton IQ,

So congratulations to the 54-year-old Lieutenant Daniel Chala. from a Miami-Day deputy who had all charges dropped against him. It's over. The case is over.
Starting point is 00:43:25 He apparently met this person at a club about a month ago and brought this person home. Now, he thought the person was a female. But the person wasn't a female. The person was a male who was dressed up like a woman. And apparently they started kissing. and then he realized, hey, you're not a woman, and he kicked her out. Now, originally they said that he punched her and beat her up and they, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:58 charged with assault and all that stuff against a transgender woman. But he said, no, I didn't. That didn't happen. And so now the case, the charges are dropped. He was on leave, administrative leave. for the Sheriff's Department and so now I don't know what happens to him I don't know if he goes back
Starting point is 00:44:22 because it said that the person who he was with and kicked out of his apartment or home wasn't going to press charges and did not want to have anything to do with anything to do with it so is this person now being intimidated
Starting point is 00:44:40 from the Sheriff's Department like no you're not going to press charges you're not going to do this get the hell out of here? Or is it for real? And it's a tough one. I would like to believe that it's real. That this person
Starting point is 00:44:55 is just not going to press charges because what she said in the heat of the battle, you know, was not true. He didn't attack her. And they were both under the influence. And things got out of hand and then he kicked me out. And I was pissed. So I complained and had him arrested.
Starting point is 00:45:11 And now I'm, you know, I'm not mad anymore. And I realize I don't want anything to do with it and I just want to move on with my life. Or is it the sheriff's department saying, you are not going to be testifying against this deputy sheriff. That is not going to happen.
Starting point is 00:45:29 So he's already off now. I mean, he wasn't on duty when this happened. And then he was on some kind of administrative leave suspension, whatever it was, while this case was ongoing. So does he go back to being a deputy sheriff? Does he retire? Does he have a nice day? Take care.
Starting point is 00:45:48 Go be a cop in some other Florida County. Not Miami-Dade. I don't know. But I found it interesting that I know. I found out that he was a man and get the hell out of here. Dude, where are you partying at? And this person must have looked good. Must have looked good.
Starting point is 00:46:11 So, you know. Maybe you Give it a shot I don't know You're already there All right Let's get out here I told you I was going to do
Starting point is 00:46:25 Allison Affair Jokes The rest of this week So you got two yesterday I have two today And you'll have two tomorrow Allison Affair jokes So if you want to hear the first two And you haven't heard yesterday's show
Starting point is 00:46:37 What are you doing? First of all, why haven't you heard yesterday's show? And second, I know you're busy listening and talking Walking Dead I got you. Okay, no problem. So this is Allison sent in in her email on an affair, six affair jokes. Boom, boom, boom, boom.
Starting point is 00:46:54 And they all made me laugh. So this is a fair joke number three. A mortician was working late one night. He examined the body of Mr. Swartz about to be cremated and made a startling discovery. Swartz had the largest private part he had ever seen. I'm sorry, Mr. Swartz, the mortician commented. I can't allow you to be cremated with such an impressive private part. Yeah, it happens to the best.
Starting point is 00:47:20 It must be saved for posterity. So he removed it, stuffed it in his briefcase, and took it home. And he said to his wife, I have something to show you, you won't believe. And he opened up his briefcase. And his wife, oh my God, Swartz is dead. Okay, this is joke number four from Allison. That's good. A woman was in bed with her lover when she heard her husband opening the front door.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Hurry, she said. Stand in the corner and she rubbed baby oil all over him and then she dusted him with talcum powder. Don't move until I tell you. Pretend you're a statue. What's this? The husband inquired as he entered the room. Oh, it's a statue. The Smith bought one and I liked it, so I got one for us too. No more was said.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Not even when they went to bed. Around 2 a.m., the husband got up, went to the kitchen. and returned with a sandwich and a beer. Here, he said to the statue, have this. I stood like that two days at the Smiths and nobody offered me a damn thing. See, because...
