Blaze Radio Network And now, chewing the fat with Jeff Fisher Those of you traveling, if your flight has been delayed, it was only because United Airlines were grounded last night due to a tech outage after, I mean, the issue has been resolved now. A thousand flights were still delayed overnight,
Starting point is 00:00:49 and dozens were canceled. I'm sure that everything is fine. They said the technology issue that led to the grounding of its flights for a few hours, yeah, it's been resolved. We got it. apparently there was a problem with its unomatic system that houses information about each flight that is then fed into other systems including those that calculate weight and balance and track flight times and so don't even worry about it sure uh 1,038 flights were delayed
Starting point is 00:01:20 sure flights were canceled you may even still be paying the price at airports by the time you're listening to this show but everything is fine we weren't having It was just an electronic glitch. That's all. And the U.S. Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, said that the issue was specific to United's operations and was unrelated to a broader air traffic control system. So there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:01:49 They are getting full support from the FAA and they're addressing United's flight backlog. So while you're waiting in line today, listening to the show at the airport. wondering why am I waiting? That's why. But the issue has been resolved. And why don't you just wait in line and keep your mouth shut? Welcome. Welcome to Chewing the Fats.
Starting point is 00:02:14 We have a fugitive on the run out of Massachusetts. A 55-year-old woman, Rory Susan Woods, was supposed to show up for her court date. And she did not. So there is an arrest warrant issued for her, for her and she remains obviously innocent until proven guilty. Uh-huh. The accusations against her are very serious and we'll be prepared to present the evidence
Starting point is 00:02:44 that she endangered many employees of the sheriff's department who were merely doing their jobs. She may have delayed justice, but it won't be denied, according to the district attorney's office there in Massachusetts. What did Rory Susan Woods do? Well, it happened back in 2022. So we're just now getting around to her court date, which she has evaded justice. She pulled up to a house. There was an ongoing eviction going on at this house in memory lane, on memory lane in Longmeadow.
Starting point is 00:03:24 She pulled up in a blue Nissan X-Tera. She left her dog in the car and immediately went to the beehives being towed by her SUV and tried to open the lids to unleash the bees. Sheriff's deputies tried to stop Woods, but she made the bees angry, and they started to circle the area. Woods then smashed the lid, flipped a hive off the flatbed,
Starting point is 00:03:46 which made the bees very aggressive. The bees stung several officers, some of whom are allergic, and bystanders who were watching nearby. One officer was taken to the hospital for bee stings. Woods put on a professional beekeeper suit to protect herself, then carried.
Starting point is 00:04:02 a tower of bees near the front door of the home to try to stop the eviction. Now, they've been trying to evict this person from this home for years. She tried to agitate the bees more and was arrested by sheriff deputies and booked at the Western Massachusetts Regional Women's Correctional Facility. And she was set to report for trial this week. And she did not report for trial. so the arrest warrant for her is now active. And if you know where Rory Susan Woods is, I would, you know, well, you do you.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Should you turn her in? Yes. Because she's just a horrible person who just wanted to stop an eviction and did so by unleashing bees against the sheriff deputies and the whole neighborhood. Seems like a fascinating way. to stop an eviction. I don't know. It doesn't say in the story if it did stop the eviction,
Starting point is 00:05:05 although they do say it was an ongoing opportunity for eviction off and on for years. So maybe she put a pause on the eviction as well due to her unlawful behavior. So good luck. Being on the run there,
Starting point is 00:05:20 Rory Susan Woods, because you are now a fugitive from the law. You know, speaking of fugitives and bad people out there on the run, if you have had it with them and are looking for a new gig, I guess you can go to work for ICE. They're offering a $50,000 signing bonus
Starting point is 00:05:39 and student loan forgiveness to new hires. And they're aiming to hire 10,000 new agents with which that would make ICE the largest law enforcement agency in the country. A $50,000 signing bonus and a student loan forgiveness to new hires. I would apply to ICE if I were someone that wanted to be in law enforcement,
Starting point is 00:06:03 because that is well worth the money. And it's not a bad gig. When you go to their website, you can become a deportation officer, a criminal investigator, general attorney. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:17 So they've got jobs wide open for you. Plus, I said, I mentioned the $50 signing bonus. It's a $60,000 student loan repayment plan, and you get premium pay. so you can choose your mission and apply at ice. Again, that's not a bad gig if you are so inclined. I mean, let's say you work for Clairs.
Starting point is 00:06:41 You know, the store that has been known for piercing millions of teens in malls across America and Europe, they file for bankruptcy. So they operate more than 2,750 stores in 17,000. countries throughout North America and Europe and 190 icing stores in North America. And no, they don't sell ice. It's, well, I guess they do if you consider jewelry ice. And it's, you know, that's one of the stores that's for Clare's that sells jewelry. Anyway, they're Claire Holdings LLC and certain of its U.S. and Gibraltar-based subsidies.
Starting point is 00:07:24 collectively, Clare's U.S., the operator of Clares and icing stores across the United States, made the filing in the U.S. bankruptcy court in Delaware, and that marked the second time since 2018, and of course it's for the same reasons. High debt load, shift among teens heading online away from physical stores. Yeah, nobody's going to the malls. I mean, that's where Clare's is usually based out of is malls across America. And, wow, malls are dead onto the vine, or at least, not as, they're not as lucrative as they used to be.
Starting point is 00:07:58 According to the court filings, Clares has assets and liabilities ranging from a billion to $10 billion. So if you work for Clares and you, you know, you're thinking about maybe getting a new gig, you could go to work for Homeland Security, I guess. It doesn't say what kind of background you have to have to be a hireie at ICE. So you could just say, hey, I already work at ICE. icings, I'm ready to just work at ice. I want to lose the ING. So if you're working at Clairs or for their icing company, how about you lose the ING and just go to work for ice? It's just a thought. That's all. I'm sure, look, they're trying to stay alive, just like many, many other
Starting point is 00:08:41 businesses. I'm sure some of the tariff issues are hitting stores like this hard because they get products from overseas. But you have Amazon and Timu, I mean, are just crushing these businesses. So good luck. Good luck to Clare's and, of course, the ever-present icing stores. Now, most likely, what's going to happen to these Clairs and icing employees, well, they still have a gig yet. They haven't closed the doors yet. But they're probably just going to go ahead and start an OnlyFans account instead of trying to join ICE. I'm going to lose the ING, but ICE is just going to be my OnlyFans account. I know there was a story that talked about Lilite
Starting point is 00:09:25 who launched an only fan on her 18th birthday and they claim, or at least Lilita claimed, to make over a million dollars in just a few hours after launching her only fans account. Now, I don't know if everyone at Clare's or icing is worth that on OnlyFans, but it may be worth a shot.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Now, I saw a headline that talked about only fans must be banned uh no uh it shouldn't if you uh don't like it don't subscribe to any features that only fans uh has but uh no uh it's an opportunity for americans and uh whoever to make money uh and they can do it on their own go for it i don't know that you could make a million dollars in a few hours like little tay but you can give it a shot. This massive, mysterious hot blob beneath the eastern U.S. is moving toward New York, and scientists are puzzled. So they've been studying this ooze that's going on underneath the United States headed toward New York City. I'm here to tell you, you've got time, okay?
Starting point is 00:11:39 And I'll tell you how much time you have in a moment. First, let me tell you about the cover-up on Blaze TV. If you haven't seen it, it's a hard-hitting docu-series exposing how the federal government and public health agencies lied to you during COVID, from the virus's origins to the lockdowns to the vaccine narrative and how big tech helped them cover it all up. You can binge all five, because episode five dropped as well. So the newest episode, Mockraker,
Starting point is 00:12:18 hopefully you've seen the first four if you're already a subscriber. If you haven't, now's the time to subscribe. Fauci coverup.com slash Jephy. The latest episode, Mockraker, dives into the Pandemics Industrial Complex, showing how Fauci and Burks and government bureaucrats worked with social media platforms to silence the truth. I know.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Right? It isn't about censorship. It's about mind and control. control. So now's the time. Go to Fauci coverup.com slash jeffy. Fouchy coverup, F-A-U-C-E-R-U-P-U-P-C-O-V-E-R-U-P-C-O-M-C-O-M-C-E-F-E-F-E-F-Y. Fouchy cover-up. Get you $20 off your subscription to Blaze TV, your annual subscription to Blaze TV. Now is the time. Starting point is 00:13:19 access to the Blaze website, everything on Blaze.com. So become a subscriber today by going to Fauci coverup.com slash Jeffie. Okay, the primordal ooze that's underneath
Starting point is 00:13:34 that's underneath the U.S. heading toward New York. Now, it lies beneath the continent that's been, according to experts, you know, tectonically quiet for about 180 million years. And so that's when they think that the ooze started coming. But now they've done some observations and they've done some tests and they think that the
Starting point is 00:13:57 ooze has only been there for about 80 million years. Now, why are we safe? Well, they claim now that they have done all these tests. They've used geological observations, computer simulations, model plate tectonauton. geodynamics. I love the geodynamics. And the team was able to replicate the formation of the hot blob, which is 1,120 miles northeast of the Appalachians. They found that the ooze was moving southwest at a clip of 12 miles every million years. So you're probably good. They estimate that the blob will reach NYC in 10 to 15 million years.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Now, if you're in between the Appalachians in NYC, maybe you have 10 million years. I don't know. It doesn't say. So it should be okay. You know, this all started when North America broke away from Africa. And now, you know, we had land masses, Canada and Greenland. We're splitting apart, and so it all started back then.
Starting point is 00:15:11 So that was a little while ago. According to a study published in the journal Nature, and I love them, they described how this molten manite molasses is created when hot rocks sitting just outside the earth's core rises to fill cracks in the crust caused by land rifts. Duh. So you got at least, you have at least, what, 10, 12 million years, maybe longer, and then we're going to have to worry about the movement of the primordial ooze. So relax, okay, don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Still have plenty of time to enjoy this show, Chewing the Fat. Thank you for listening to the show. If you're not a subscriber, what are you doing? You need to subscribe to this show. It's free. and you shouldn't be listening on your friends platform. Nobody likes a freeloader, okay? Everybody likes free stuff, but nobody likes a freeloader.
Starting point is 00:16:11 So if you're listening to this on somebody else's phone or tablet or other device and it's not yours membership, you need to subscribe yourself, okay? Because nobody likes a freeloader. Anyway, thank you for subscribing to chewing the fat. I appreciate it. One of the things that helps keep
Starting point is 00:16:31 this show free is your membership to Blaze TV. So again, you can go to that Fauci coverup.com slash Jeffey or you can go to blazedtv. com slash Jeffie. Both will save you $20 on an annual membership, but you use whichever one you want, but use it. Okay. It's that simple. Also, you can email this show Chewing the Fat at theblaze.com.

I do a live show there every Saturday morning with Brad Staggs, Saturday morning live,
Starting point is 00:17:24 and it's well worth the watch. Plus, I've been kicking around an idea that I want to do on X lately. so that may happen in the near future as well. You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram, Jeff Fisher Radio. You can follow me on my YouTube page, Chewing the Fat with Jeff Fisher. You can order a cameo from me at Jeffy JFR on the cameo app. That's not free, but it is worth every doggone penny at Jeffey JFR on the cameo app. And outside of special appearances, I do show up on the Pat Gray Unleashed program,
Starting point is 00:18:01 Wednesday and Fridays, and I do other fill-in work on that show as well. But every Wednesday and Friday you can see me and hear me on Pat Unleashed, which is on Blaze TV and other platforms as well. So you can catch me there. You catch me all those places. I know, I know. And then I do the Saturday morning live thing with Brad Staggs on my axe at Jeffrey JFR. Brad puts it up on some other platforms.
Starting point is 00:18:31 He does the Daily Mojo every day. You can catch him there. And in fact, I show up when I can on the Daily Mojo, usually on Thursday mornings. But you never know. I may show up on the Daily Mojo as well, some other days. And then, oh, coming up, we are less than a month away. Actually, we are a month away. A month away from the Darrell Walking Dead show, Darrell Season 3, starting up September 7th.
Starting point is 00:18:59 And so you will be hearing talking Walking Dead again with myself and Jason Buttrill and my son Maximus. As we dig into Daryl's show, season three, which is the penultimate season, because they've already announced that season four will be the final season of the Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon. So we have two more seasons left of the Daryl Dixon show. My gosh, I give and I give and I give. You are welcome. All right, let's go to the break room.
Starting point is 00:19:27 I need something cold to drink desperately. So I see Disney had their revenue call yesterday, and wow, they fell short of expectations. I know. I'm sad for them. Their expectations were $23.73 billion expected for this quarter, and they only got $23.65 billion. I know. I don't know how they're surviving. So their earnings beat projections by the 161, which is adjusted to 147, which is expected.
Starting point is 00:20:11 The streaming business was up 6% with Disney Plus and a Hulu. Speaking of Disney Plus and Hulu, apparently say goodbye to the Hulu app. Hulu is going away. It will be folded into Disney Plus next year and will replace Star as Disney's international entertainment streaming brand. don't know that I like that, but that's what's going to happen. They didn't ask.
Starting point is 00:20:37 I know. I know they just left me out in the cold. And also the ESPN app, which is the Worldwide Leader standalone app on August 21st. That will cost $29.99 a month. And it will include all the networks channels while providing you with another way,
Starting point is 00:20:54 you know, to allow all the other ESPN celebrities into your life. I will say I'm not sure how that affects me because I do have the ESPN, plus stuff, uh, raked into my Hulu app. So, uh,
Starting point is 00:21:08 they better not be tagging me with another $30 a month. I, holy cow. I mean, I just want to watch college football. It's the only reason I have the ESPN plus stuff. I don't care about all the other soccer and swimming and rugby.
Starting point is 00:21:25 And what's the other stupid sport I'm supposed to like now? I'm not cricket. Lacrosse. Lacrosse. Lacrosse. I'm supposed to love lacrosse now. I just want. College football, okay?
Starting point is 00:21:34 That's all I want. I'll watch some of the other sports if I have to from time to time because I, you know, sure, I'm a sports dufous. I get it. But I just want college football. And they are, they better know how they charge me an offer for that. I don't want to. I don't want to pay it.
Starting point is 00:21:50 So they also signed a deal with WWE. So ESPN gets a five-year, $1.6 billion agreement that begins next year that will give ESPN exclusive rights. to big WWE events, including WrestleMania and SummerSlam. So where does that leave Netflix? Because I thought they signed the big deal with Netflix. I guess that's just for Monday Night Raw?
Starting point is 00:22:15 Okay. All right, whatever. I thought they were doing other events with Netflix as well. But nope, not WrestleMania or SummerSlam. That's going to ESPN. And then we talked yesterday a little bit about how ESPN and the NFL are coming together. The NFL is taking a 10% stake in ESPN. pending regulatory approval.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Uh-huh. And they're going to return ESPN, we'll own then NFL network and Red Zone channel, and will fold the NFL's fantasy product into its own platform. So if I get that with the NFL or the ESPN app, you know, is that make it worth $30 a month? I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:56 That will have to be addressed at a later date. And I see where my man, Stephen Colbert, is going to be, guest hosting or guest starring on the Elspeth show, which is on Paramount Plus. I have not watched all of those episodes. I did watch multiple episodes of Elzbeth. And that's got Carrie Preston and Wendell Pearson, who I love. She's a, I don't know, an attorney, detective, kind of weird, offbeat.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Wendell Pierce is doing it. I love him. So, I mean, he's been in such a lot of. cool stuff and I like him although this show seems I mean he's got to make money so good for him for doing it but apparently uh cobert is doing a guest shot on this show which was talked about when pierce was on cobert's show um okay so you know good for them I guess
Starting point is 00:23:51 um I would like to you know I guess he joked around about being a corpse on one of his shows if that's all it's going to be that's awesome I want to see I will see that episode show me the episode where they're rolling the gurney down the hallway and the hand sticking out of the gurney is Stephen Gobert. Yes, I'm all for that. Or they go to the morgue and there's several bodies laying there and they flip back the sheets to see the toe tag of the one body and that body is Colbert. Yes, I'm in. I joke around all the time for these shows that for those.
Starting point is 00:24:32 like the corpses and the guy walking away from a crowd. I've joked around for years. Yeah, that's me. There's no way you can prove it. Nobody can prove that it's not you. My kids just hate it because I'll be watching it. Yeah, I did that rule. That was me right there.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Yeah. Yeah, see that dead guy right there with his foot out? Yeah, that's me. But if that's going to be Colbert, he's stealing work for me. Bastard? Boy, they are trying anything to get you back at the theaters. So it was reported this week that YouTube stars are going to be start showing
Starting point is 00:25:10 stuff at the theaters to fill empty seats. Regal Cinemas is releasing Dude Perfect, the Hero Tour, documentary following the YouTube Trick Shot Group's live performances and recent arena tour on 800 plus screens. I mean, do I want to see it? Yes. Will I go to the movie theaters to see it? No. But okay, we'll see. I mean, it's a big experiment. Both parties as theaters desperately searched for new programming with ticket sales
Starting point is 00:25:36 still down 25% from pre-pandemic levels. I would have bet more than that, but okay, we'll say 25%. Regal, the second largest U.S. theater chain, is handling distribution, supplying the film to competitors, AMC and Cinemark. The exhibitors hoping
Starting point is 00:25:52 to replicate AMC's Taylor Swift the Eres Tour Magic. Yeah, good luck. Is dude perfect Taylor Swift? Okay. I mean, they have 61 million and YouTube subscribers, sure. And hopefully they want to kickstart, you know, a new wave of social media creators
Starting point is 00:26:09 bringing content to theaters. I like that if it works, you know, because some of these social media creators could create some things worth watching on the big screen. So I am okay with that. I mean, they just announced that Hamilton, Hamilton, when I was forced to listen to that damn soundtrack and watched that show,
Starting point is 00:26:30 it was released five years ago, on Disney Plus. And I guess Disney owned all the rights for the filmed version of the Broadway show. They bought that, I think, for $75 million. I don't know how much, what's his face got for that?
Starting point is 00:26:49 Lynn Manuel Miranda. I just saw where he's getting like a whack statue or something too. He came out on stage for the Hamilton show that he doesn't even do anymore, but he came out at the end. And the whole world loved it. My daughter, oh, look, Lynn, show.
Starting point is 00:27:02 up at the end of the show. I mean, I like Hamilton. I did. I enjoyed it. My daughter still plays some of the stupid songs from the soundtrack all the damn time. And the way, you know, what my favorite, though, my favorite play is actually a six. Those girls, the original girl, for six. That Broadway play?
Starting point is 00:27:24 Awesome. But, you know, I'm forced to listen to that all the time. But is that going to draw people back to the theaters? I guess. Good luck. I mean, while they're at it, they might as well do some of my plan. Let's do some of my plan to get some people back in the theaters. Like, I don't know, lowering your snack prices down from, you know, $2 million to a million dollars a bag.
Starting point is 00:27:47 And getting your drinks a little bit cheaper. I know that's where you make your money. That's what you want. Lower the prices on that to get people through the door. Tonight is $5 movie night and $5 popcorn night. So for 10 bucks, you get a movie and a popcorn. Just a thought. Just a thought.
Starting point is 00:28:06 You don't have to thank me. Just do it. It's hockey season, and you can get anything you need delivered with Uber Eats. Well, almost, almost anything. So no, you can't get a nice rank on Uber Eats. But iced tea, ice cream, or just plain old ice? Yes, we deliver those. Goaltenders, no.
Starting point is 00:28:39 But chicken tenders, yes. Because those are groceries, and we deliver those too. Along with your favorite restaurant food, alcohol, and other everyday essentials. Order Uber Eats now. For alcohol, you must be legal drinking age. Please enjoy responsibly. Product availability varies by region. See app for details.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Who died today? Who died today? Well, let's begin with Jeannie Seeley. Jeannie Seeley, and I think it's Jeannie Seeley. Maybe Gianni Sealy. I'm not sure how she pronounced it. I mean, she's a country music legend, a soulful country music singer. She had a Grammy, and she won awards with her song.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Don't Touch Me, has died at the age of 85. She was known as Miss Country Soul for her unique vocal style. She was a trailblazer for women in country music and celebrated her spirited non-conformity and for a string of undeniable hits in the 60s. and 70s. Her husband just died back in May. She was recovering from multiple back surgeries to emergency procedures. She said she spent 11 days in the ICU.
Starting point is 00:29:53 She suffered a bout of pneumonia. She said that after her pneumonia bout, she said, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel last night and it was neon, so I knew it was mine. Oh, I get it. I get it. She died according to reports succumbing to complications from an intestinal infection. So rest in peace to Jeannie Seeley.
Starting point is 00:30:18 I was just watching a clip of her from this show, Country TV on the road or country on the road. And she was singing her son. They're all just sitting around listening to singers. I'm guessing that's what the show was. They had all these stars to sit around and listen to each other sing and say how good. they were to each other. And this is Jeannie Seeley doing her hit song on Country Road. Don't Touch Me. This is not the original version. Oh. Oh yeah. Think about it. Yeah. Yeah. We're all sitting around you
Starting point is 00:31:02 sing it girl. Oh no. Yeah, don't do it. Over the door to heaven, baby. Yeah. Think about it. Don't touch me. Don't touch me unless you mean it, baby. That is awesome. Listen, she sang on Porter Wagner's show. She had a deal with Monument Records. She, I mean, hello. She was born in Pennsylvania, and she was on local radio programs and, you know, local TV.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Then she went to L.A. And then she came to Nashville. So rest in peace to the soulful country music singer, Genie Seeley, dead at the age of 85. And I will bet, I don't know how much money I'll bet. If I had your money, I'd bet it. Because I bet that Brad Staggs, I'm gonna find out on Saturday morning live this week,
Starting point is 00:32:21 I bet Brad Staggs had something to do with that stupid country road TV show. I would bet a lot of money on that. So we're gonna find out. Because it was, while it was a terrible show, all the stars showed up and sat around and listened to each other, play their music, and they just loved each other.
Starting point is 00:32:43 So I would bet a lot of money that Brad Stags out of Nashville had something to do with that stupid show. Then we have Hannah Moody. Now, Hannah is, well, she passed away at the age of 31. And I think we may have talked about Hannah because she went missing back in May. And she went missing, she was out of a hike in Arizona. and she is a faith-based influencer.
Starting point is 00:33:09 She had, I don't know, tens of thousands of followers on Instagram. She went missing, and her friends reported her missing on the 21st of May. Took them a couple days to find her. So I feel like we may have mentioned her, but they have finally released the full autopsy report. And, I mean, they believed she would,
Starting point is 00:33:29 when they found her, uh, she was already, uh, starting to decompose. and the temperatures were over 100 degrees, and they found no evidence of foul play or underlying medical issues. It was just an accidental death due to environmental heat exposure. So if you're out there hiking, stay hydrated and be careful out there, doggone it. And she went hiking, I guess, by herself, because they found her like, I don't know, 600 yards off the trail a couple days later.
Starting point is 00:34:02 and so I don't know what happened. I don't know if she got, you know, started hallucinating when she didn't have any water and started wandering around, but she was off the trail and then she passed away. So rest in peace, knowing that there were no underlying medical issues and there was no evidence of foul play, just an accidental death due to environmental heat exposure. So rest and peace to Hannah Moody dead at the age of 31. got me thinking about how many deaths there are on these hiking trails. You know, we were just talking about the primordial ooze underneath the Blue Ridge Mountains. And, man, you hike the Appalachian Trail.
Starting point is 00:34:47 That's a long-ass trail. You can quote me on that. The Appalachian Trail, that's a long-ass trail. Like 14 states, the Appalachian Trail. There's not been a lot of people that have hiked from the, you know, end to end of the Appalachian Trail. trail. That's quite a feat. That's a good deal to do that. And I would guess that there are all kinds of missing people and deaths along the Appalachian Trail. And I don't know that there's any numbers.
Starting point is 00:35:14 In fact, I should probably just do a show on it, the deaths of the Appalachian, you know, Blue Ridge Murders. So the fourth, I mean, you have Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. This is the Appalachian Trail. That's huge. You know how many lives have been lost along that trail? Stay tuned.
Starting point is 00:35:41 Definitely, that's something I've got to look into because you know it's out there and you know there are numbers out there. And there's been little hints at it with different shows showing, you know, a murder on the Appalachian Trail or someone getting, running away, a fugitive, you know, using the Appalachian Trail
Starting point is 00:35:59 as his hideaway. but I mean to know the actual numbers ooh I don't know that might the government might not be happy to share that information but it'd be a good TV show you're welcome and thankfully we didn't have anybody die at the Fort Stewart Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia yesterday a gunman wounded five soldiers
Starting point is 00:36:21 the suspect was a 24 of 28 year old male army sergeant he was apprehended I don't know like 40 minutes after the shooting started and they held him in custody until everybody showed up to actually arrest him and put him down. We don't know why did it. We don't know what set him off. All five victims were transported to a nearby Army hospital. They're in stable condition.
Starting point is 00:36:46 And of course, the investigation is ongoing. So will we find out that why this particular soldier went crazy and started shooting people? Who knows? Could have been a poker bet. could have been someone, some of the, one of the five victims cheated with his wife. Who knows? We'll find out later.
Starting point is 00:37:06 Fort Stewart, though, that's a big fort. 8,800 people covers 437 square miles. It's located 40 miles southwest of Savannah. That's a big, that's a big fort. That's a big army base. So,
Starting point is 00:37:20 heal fast and get better to the wounded five soldiers. And let's find out why this 28-year-old Army Sergeant went off the deep end and let us know, please. This episode is brought to you by Peloton. A new era of fitness is here.

Starting point is 00:38:18 As I've said, it's going to, the skies are going to be dark. The skies will be darkened with drones, and it is coming faster than we think. It was just reported that the Transportation Secretary, Sean Duffy, they got mentioned twice at today's show. Good for Sean Duffy. he said the American consumer experience is set for an overhaul with commercial drone use. Okay. I said, we're going to change the way you get your Amazon package.
Starting point is 00:38:49 You may get a Starbucks cup of coffee from a drone. Okay. I will say this, I don't want my Starbucks coffee delivered by a drone. But, you know, I'm sure some people do. So they have released new rules that would relax requirements for a drone pilot to maintain physical sight of the aircraft. So what could possibly go wrong? The FAA says the U.S. risk falling behind China in the space
Starting point is 00:39:16 if it doesn't act soon and they want to take more ownership over the situation. Okay, well, we're pretty good at that space. We just have local municipalities that we have to worry about. And even Duffy and what's his face, Brian Bedford, the FAA administrator, he said that we have drones in operation in our skies. Yeah, yeah, we do. but it's not regulated, perhaps is the way it should be.
Starting point is 00:39:40 See, there's the thing. They don't have their hooks in it enough yet. Which makes it very, very difficult to manage. Does it, Brian? Okay, if you say so, sure. They also went on to say the rules, the new rules for more activity while trying to keep the skies as safe as possible
Starting point is 00:39:55 with increased air traffic. Sure, we understand that. Of course, you want to mitigate all those risks while you're looking at something like this. We got it. And we want to allow technology to evolve and we don't want other people to we don't want their commercial technology
Starting point is 00:40:11 in our airspace those damn Chinese we got to block them all right we want our own stuff delivered so they're just making it and start making it easier for deliveries to happen but I feel like they still have to overcome
Starting point is 00:40:22 the local municipalities which may be an issue we'll see how that goes but your skies are going to be darkened with drones I'm telling you if you're building a new home and I've said this for multiple years now if you're building a new home you should get a deliver
Starting point is 00:40:36 shoot built on your roof. So that you don't have to go out in your yard. You don't have to go out in the front yard or the backyard to get your drone delivery. You just, your little address on your roof there or your own QR code on the roof. So when the drone flies over, it goes, oh yeah, that's the house. Boop. And the, you know, the door opens up and the package drops into your shoot. And that's already in your house.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Huh? Now that may, the, the Starbucks coffee may spill. but, you know, the lunch should probably be fine. You'll be fine. Don't worry about it. Because they're talking about making it easier for Amazon and DoorDash to deliver goods with drones. So, okay, I mean, are we going to just have separate like McDonald's drones and Burger King drones and Starbucks drones? I guess, maybe that won't be allowed, so they'll have to subcontract it out to, you know, the Amazon's and the DoorDashes.
Starting point is 00:41:33 I mean, is Amazon going to deliver a McDonald's for them? I don't know. It could be a partnership. Who knows? I was looking at McDonald's. They said that they are beefing up their $5. McValue menu over concerns that it's lower income customers were tightening budgets.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Concerns over they might be tightening their budgets? Yeah, they were. You were losing money and people didn't want to spend $8 million at your drive-thru. I'm continually amazed at how much it costs to go through McDonald's drive-thru. But apparently you can get the $5. McValue meal. According to this, customer traffic in the U.S. at McDonald's has declined to 2.8%. Oh, that's overall at fast food joints. Okay. So that's all fast food joints. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. That does not surprise me. It's a million dollars. You go through what used to be,
Starting point is 00:42:23 you know, yeah, I'll take a burger, fries, and a soda. I'll be 1825. What? I mean, it's usually I didn't want the, I don't want the upper echelon. I just want to, I just want to the, this wanted the value meal. Yeah, that's 1829. Whatever, it's amazing. I mean, McDonald's has already shut down their Cosmix places, right? And they were mixing all their special drinks and stuff there.
Starting point is 00:42:48 But they're offering, now they're talking about offering new trendy beverages at their McDonald's. So some of that stuff, and they said it when they closed them down, that they were going to use some of the drinks that they were making at Cosmix and that's what they're going to start offering at McDonald's. So,
Starting point is 00:43:04 I mean, are we going to be able to get the McDonald's $5. McValue meal dropped in my front yard for lunch from the McDonald's drone or the DoorDash drone? Okay. All right, but I bet you using DoorDash. It's not the $5 MacValue menu meal anymore. It's the $5 McValue menu meal with the DoorDash charge.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Because they're not dropping stuff off for free. Okay? Let's just be clear about that. That is not happening. Maybe Amazon. will offer their free service as they upgrade your membership fees. Oh, does that mean that it's not free if they're upping their membership fees? Yes, that's what that means.
Starting point is 00:43:48 But good luck. We'll see. I'm not opposed to it, and I'm ready to put the shoot in my house and on the roof. Let's make that happen. All right, let's get out of here. I'll leave you with a joke of the day. A joke from Megan. It's right in.
Starting point is 00:44:03 We talked about fast food joints. Okay, here you go. Here's a fast food joint. a joke from Megan. How did Burger King get Dairy Queen pregnant? I don't know. How did Burger King
Starting point is 00:44:15 get Dairy Queen pregnant? Hey, forgot to wrap his whopper. So incredibly stupid. But what happened? No, you got it. Stream and subscribe to more Blaze Media content at theblaze.com slash podcasts.
