Season one, episode six, the final episode of the walking dead Daryl Dixon, titled Coming Home.
Episode description on IMDB, Jeanette solidifies her base of power.
Daryl has a job to do before he can return to America.
Myself, Jason Butrell, and Maximus Fisher.
This is Talking about.
Walking Dead.
Welcome to it.
How in the world are you?
Thanks for coming along for the ride today.
I will start out by saying I loved this episode.
Yep.
This episode was outstanding.
Yeah.
There's a few nitpicky pieces, but overall, it was awesome.
Dude, I, there's been some, like, random things I can nitpick on the writing on some of these,
like when Daryl just ran off into a trap and got beat by the Apple Dumpling Gang.
Right.
Yeah.
Like that made no sense to me, but this was written beautifully.
This whole show was great.
This episode.
Oh my God.
This episode, this episode very was great.
Great finale.
This gives me some hope for fear.
Some.
It's a teeny.
Teeny.
Teeny.
Not a lot.
You keep it.
Holy cow.
So we started out with the World War II.
soldiers on the beach and of course that ties in to you know grandpa and uh you know they do the
close up of the one soldier on the beach and i i didn't look to see if it was actually if the dog
tags on the soldier were actually darrell's grandfather but i'll just leave it to my heart to believe
that it's definitely dexon totally was yeah had to been and so uh you know have they done anything
like that before like that cinematic i don't think so i don't know
think so. I can't think of a time.
That's why it completely shocked me.
I was like, what the hell are they doing?
Because they've never done anything like that before.
I know. And then just the fade directly
into the gladiator scene. I mean, God,
it was so good. It was all gladiator, man.
By the way, the gladiator scene was
amazing. The gladiator scene
was awesome. The only thing missing was I am
I have Maximus Desmus
Meridius, commander to the armies of the north.
That was it. Oh, man.
I'm actually named after that movie if you couldn't tell.
Man, when he went, I mean, they did do it like a little homage to it when he threw the head up there.
100%.
The only thing that was missing was him saying, are you not entertained?
I know.
That would have been awesome.
That would have been awesome.
There's no doubt about that.
So, I mean, I really enjoyed that.
And the fight scene, you know, in the ring, in the, in the, in the Coliseum, so to speak, was awesome.
And, you know, Jeanette was pissed because they, the super.
juiced up walkers.
And they don't have that mix quite right.
It's not exactly how it's.
Some work, some don't.
That was cool though. I mean, they've got all,
this like super serum that they're using,
it's clearly, it has different
effects on different walkers, but it's
some weird stuff.
Really weird. And then he stabs the one and it's the
burning one. So it just burns
and he gets free.
Anyway, with that whole,
that whole scene. Then they chain, then they
chate him up to the guy and
Clearly another gladiator throwback with the two guys chained together.
And then, you know, obviously then their getaway, our union of hopers finally showed up and saved them, which we knew they would.
Obviously, we saw them in the crowd, which was good to see.
How did they get the guns past them, though?
Like she mentioned that later.
Like, I thought you checked them for guns.
I was like, yeah, how did they get in with those guns?
Yeah, I don't know.
Maybe he's got a 3D printer at his uncle's auto garage.
I don't know.
Or maybe they have other people on the inside of that group.
Well, they have to be.
That's what concerns Jeanette, right?
She's really worried about that because she knows absolutely that's an issue.
And that was a great scene when Homeboy came back after, first of all, before we, I'll jump ahead, but I'm going to go back.
It was a great scene when Jeanette faced Homeboy after he had let Daryl and Laurent and Isabel go.
And he killed all the soldiers and let them go and told them how far the nest was and all of that.
And she said, you know, she said where she used to work at the museum and studied the eyes and knew when people were lying and knew, you know, that he was lying.
But I still don't understand why he let them go.
I'm happy he did and it's obviously
they had to keep them alive for the show
but I'm not real sure we never
didn't learn
why he let them know
I mean he said he didn't he didn't
he didn't kill Lauren he didn't want to kill the kid
yeah I know
I know but his whole deal was to kill
Daryl and he had that opportunity
and let it go he said next time he said next time
I heard the show I watched the show
I still don't understand it
yeah I mean
he's I mean he's he's kind of being billed as this like major french partisan so you know what I mean
like so maybe he's like actually believing in the kid and thinks he's he's the better route for
France you know but he's got to buy this time yeah that's true so he's going to let darrell and
the nuns go because they're they're taking care of him yeah right yeah I get that because he couldn't
just shoot that yeah he couldn't just shoot darrell and be done with it because then they would
just shoot him for disobeying orders.
So he's like, okay, the only way to save the future of France is to execute these soldiers
and let Daryl go.
That actually makes sense.
Yeah, I guess that's what you have to do because he's on the inside and that's why she
has to keep him, you know, imprisoned or kill him now.
Well, she said she's going to keep him alive so he could tell her where the nest is,
but he won't talk.
So she even said, it's going to be a lot more painful for you.
It'd be very poetic if Daryl had to like lead a group to go rescue him.
So, you know, the first season starts with his brother dying, going after Daryl in like this blood vengeance, hating him the entire time, saving him at the end.
And Daryl goes back in the beginning of the season two and has to save him.
That'd be kind of cool.
Yeah, it would be.
And you saw where when he picked up the pocket watch, he knew what it was.
So he knew the guy that it belonged to.
You know, because when he saw the pocket watch, he knew the guy who it belonged to.
And he knew where the next was.
Andy knew where the nest was, right?
I don't know.
Maybe there's a lot more depth to that character than we thought.
Season two.
Yeah, I mean, we're going to get season two.
I mean, it's already in the works.
So that's something to definitely look forward to.
We had the escape, going back to where we were,
we had them trying to escape.
A great scene was when Laurent tries to escape the guards
and they just push him back in,
and he's just like, I'm sorry,
I was just trying to think what Daryl would do.
And then Isabel just goes, it's okay, I got this.
And she pulls out the keys.
And he's like, well, how do you do that?
He's like something I learned a long time ago.
Yeah, well, and then that's obviously when he starts questioning his faith because
Jeanette was like Messiah.
Yeah, I don't think so.
I don't think so.
But, you know, everyone certainly believes he is.
And if you don't, you're definitely questioning yourself.
You know, I mean, the presence of God in this show.
is amazing.
Yeah.
There was a
one season TV show.
I think it was actually called Messiah.
Did you guys ever see that or hear about that?
I don't think I ever saw that one.
It was like about a guy that's like from the Middle East
and he shows up and just says he's the second coming of Jesus basically.
And by the end of the show,
so at the beginning of it, you're like, oh, he's totally.
It's a fraud.
No, at the beginning you think, oh, he might be.
Then you're like, then things come out and I go, no, he's a fraud.
And at the end, you're like, oh, crap.
maybe he might be. And I almost felt like that with this kid. You know what I mean? It's like,
okay, yeah, it's interesting how he was born. Maybe there's something to it.
Then you're like, okay, we know who the father is. We know who the mother is. But how he was born was
is the thing. But now he did do some things where people were like that kind of, it looked like
they were conflicted and something they shouldn't have been conflicted. Something was pushing them to
be conflicted. And I was like, hmm, I don't know. Yeah. I know. I know. And so,
I love the
one of the things that I have to
kind of that I was like okay come on
so when Darrell is
escaping the tunnels with Quinn
the boyfriend and
we see Quinn where he got bit
and so
Darrell cuts his hand off so that they can
be you know split up and Quinn can save him
and Darrell can get away
and then after
that Darrell runs into the
Union of Hopers and the
Union of Hopers just uses
they cut his hand off
because they could undo
the handcuff.
Then when they get to the garage
or the gairoge, the guy just
pokes a nail in the thing and hits the
Darry was free and I'm like, what are we even
doing? Like the good thing
Quinn didn't see how, look at his good thing he was dead
by then because if he saw that, he's like, bro.
I had to go through that.
It was like, I'm a lot.
Walker in these tunnels now with
one hand. What are we doing
here?
The freaking nail took that off.
You do that,
Darrell, you bastards.
He was bit anyway, so he's going to die
eventually.
Okay, okay.
No problem. It was really funny.
I thought his redemption
is kind of somewhat with redemption
was kind of okay.
Yeah.
I'm glad it wasn't.
He's the thing. He never had to change
heart. He wanted Isabel.
He never had a change of heart.
And he was, I mean, it's not like it was a full redemption
because he was not a good guy.
But at least he, you know, he wasn't, he was a bastard,
but he wasn't an effing bastard.
Right.
Right. And he believed that, you know,
his son was the, was
the Messiah, the Savior, right?
I mean, he had to have.
Oh, did he?
Just get, I, I think so.
I mean, maybe not.
Maybe he just was saving his son to get to Isabel.
Well, I don't know.
I mean, I just don't feel like he did.
He might have too.
I don't know.
Like I said, I was conflicted.
But he said, right.
Right.
And then we get to, you know, the Daryl story, which we kind of knew, but, you know, he goes into depth when he's working on the car, talking about his dad, making him put the engine back together.
And if they didn't get it done, they couldn't eat.
And that's when we find out that Grandpa died on the beaches, you know, in France.
And, you know, left everybody alone.
The shot of him jumping ahead again to the end when Daryl gets to the beaches.
Oh, with the graves. That was amazing.
With the, yeah, with the crosses.
More, more God and more just, that was really, really good, really good.
Really good.
And I think there's a lot more depth than maybe we even have time there to even go through with.
But, I mean, it was almost, they were building the case where they were clearly trying to tell him that, you know, this might be your new home.
Yeah. And then he's kind of retorting with, I already have a home, you know?
You know, like, before he got to the beaches, I felt like when they were talking to him,
when they went to next. Okay. We have to go back. Let's go back before we get to that.
When we get to that, let's go back. You're driving the car here, Jeff. I know.
I know. Well, I don't off a bridge at some point.
It's just my ADD, okay? I'm sorry.
So we'll go back because after the after we get to find out.
about Daryl's grandpa stuff. That's when
you know, we,
they get, they get caught and
that's when Homeboy doesn't kill
them, kills the soldiers, lets them go.
And he tells them to follow the coast
to the nest.
And they get to the nest.
The nest, beautiful.
You know, it's from like 780
AD in real life.
It was built. I was reading, I was reading
about it. They've shot at some
beautiful places in France.
It's Mount, Mount
and Michael founded in 708 AD.
708 AD.
I know.
It became a fortress and remained unpenetrated for the entirety of the
hundred years war between England and France.
That's just a tidbit of what they're using as their nest.
So then when they get there, he meets, and I'm like, wait, we have a Chinaman from France?
What are we doing?
And then we're not like from New Jersey.
And I thought, okay, it's probably a Korean or something.
But no, he's from Hoboken.
Yeah.
He's from New Jersey.
Really funny.
That was really fun.
That was like that Starburst commercial where he was like, I'm Scotch Korean.
It's a contradiction.
It's a contradiction.
Really funny.
So they're at the nest, which is, you know, just an amazing place.
Oh, hang on.
Yeah, were you about to say how I wonder how much that cost?
I was about to say, I wonder how much it cost a filter.
Yeah, exactly.
Like, just compare that between, like, let's say, fear when they literally did, when they did the cowboys and Indians and they shot it out and, you know, in a, you know, just an open field with tents and stuff.
Back lot.
Like, we know the reason why is because you spent so much money in the other season and, you know, in the, in the, uh, doing all the other stuff in the cities and all that stuff.
So you literally just found a plot of land and did it because it was cheap.
Now compared to here and they're doing it, like, UNESCO sites.
That's insane.
Yeah.
I mean, all their, all their history sites that they're using, right?
Remember, they said that they fought a long time to be able to film in France.
And then finally, in the story, it said, somebody said, oh, it's for Daryl Dixon.
Okay, we'll do that.
But I'm sure that it was more of like, all right, well, so we'll agree to this because it's Daryl Dixon and AMC, but tread lightly.
Yeah.
Also, like, remember, though, like, even compared to Dead City.
The budget between Fear and Dead City
was big when we noticed that too.
Yes, it was.
Not just filming in New York, which is a lot of money, but still.
Did they film it in New York?
Yeah, they actually did.
They did film it in New York.
It was filmed in New York.
Interesting, because a lot of it was CGI.
Yeah.
But even that's expensive, so.
The CGI in Dead City looked better than some of the other stuff in Fear and World Beyond.
There's a lot of things not right with Fear and World Beyond.
Yeah, no kidding. So we're at the nest and they're trying and Darrell is even a Hoboken guy says, you know, you kept your bargain. We kept ours. We've got everything lined up for you unless, of course, you don't want to leave because we don't want you to leave. This is your new home. Sometimes you have to, you know, sometimes you have to go away to find a new home.
Yeah. And I'm thinking, yeah, this is it, baby. What are we even talking about? This is it.
Darrell. Why you even, they spent the
of the time together with
him and Isabel ready to, you know,
do some serious business and fall in love
through the whole
show. I mean, Darryl
him basically acting as the father
to Laurent because like, oh, when
LaRaw found out Quinn died, he was like,
he's not my dad. Like, he said it
himself. Right. Right.
And so, you know, I mean, Darrell
did everything, but, you know,
roll around those eight beds in the
the medical unit with Isabel taking care of some business.
That should have happened.
That absolutely should happen.
I know.
Well, I mean, oh, I can't reach my back.
Okay.
All right.
I didn't know what's happening.
I'm just saying, I didn't notice that actually, like, when she got stabbed, the knife
went full through her shoulder.
Yeah.
Her shoulder blade.
I know.
I can't reach my back.
Yeah, but he has no, uh, he has no blood family back.
back in the United States.
He keeps saying, you know, I've got a home there.
And I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm conflicted because I'm like, I don't think you do, bro.
Okay.
So where are they staying?
They're still in Commonwealth.
There's still, it's Commonwealth, like, Commonwealth.
Commonwealth assimilated Alexandria and Hilltop.
So, because the leaders of, we know who the leaders of Commonwealth days now.
It's, it's Zeke and all them.
So, we know that it was, all of it was assimilated into Commonwealth.
Commonwealth, big now.
So it's still Alexandria, hilltop, Oceanside, and Commonwealth.
Like, that's all one thing now.
That's where they're staying.
Okay, but is that, I mean, difficult for me to think that with Rick gone and Mishon gone,
and I guess he still thinks Carol is part of his family.
Carol, Judith, AJ.
He had feelings for the deaf girl, whatever her name is.
Connie.
Can you do that with your fingers?
I know, bad joke.
But I guess maybe he considers that ball foot.
Judith.
Like I said Judith and RJ.
Yeah, but those aren't his kids, really.
He did promise to take care of him, which he did.
And I'm just saying, we all know Judith could beat Laurent in a fight, but even like that.
No question.
Yeah, hello.
Well, if Daryl trains Laurent over the years, maybe that.
could change.
Daryl's not, he's got
Laurent, I mean, Laurent had him, God will
forgive you, right? Even that's
no problem. And you feel like at that
point when he had him killed Quinn
that God will forgive you.
I mean, I feel like
that's when Daryl
I guess it could have been just
I'm saying what I wanted to say to make you do
what I wanted you to do, but it didn't feel
that way. Yeah.
I don't know. I don't know.
I know. But then
but then Daryl's like, I'm leaving.
He does him.
He's packing up his bag with 80 loaves of bread.
I don't care about a homebooking guy.
I'm taking all the bread.
Okay,
sitting here in the kitchen,
it's mine.
That's what I would do.
And Izzy is like,
you know,
trying to tell him,
you know,
I'm right here.
Well,
she was also,
she was mainly talking about Laurent,
but we also got confirmation
that the vest is still in his possession.
That's correct.
That's correct.
Thank you.
I thought,
of you when he did that. I was like, yes, there it is. That was one of the biggest plot holes.
I was like, that vest better be on his station. They better have that. He has it. We never,
we never did see where, how we got it back, right? No. That's just, that's just part of it. Don't
worry about it. How about you shut your face? It's in his bag. He gave his way home. Remember when,
it's a homing vest. It's a home. Before he left when Laurent was sleeping on the bed, he did, remember, he said, oh, I'll get, I'll get the, I'll get the,
I'll get, I'll get it later, like the cube, and he actually did.
He, like, yeah, he left around to cube and left without saying goodbye.
That's where I'm torn.
So now we get to the, and, you know, he takes off and he, and he leaves.
And I, the, and he reaches the beach.
And he gets to where he's supposed to be picked up by the ship.
And we have, you know, beach cave walkers from all over show up.
That was.
It was just so coordinated.
I mean, like, tell, okay, so back to that, telling that story of his granddad, he's like, it wasn't much of a fight, just died on the beach.
And then I got the feeling that they wrote it that way so he could have that fight, right?
He could have the Normandy Beach fight that his granddad didn't have.
So there's like so much crap stuffed into that one scene.
I was like, holy crap, man.
One thing I actually like, like, I know it's a little detail, but like, when he found, when he saw the flag and he walked up and you see the crosses of the, like, all the graves, I'm like, oh, he's going to find his granddad's grave.
I thought that was the first thought of my head, but I'm like, oh, he's just going to walk up and see it.
Well, I thought it was just going to be the cliche.
He walks up first grave he sees his granddad.
No, where they like cuts to like at least a 15 to 30 second like cutting of him just walking around looking for the name Dixon.
Yeah, I mean.
So I'm like, well, I mean, without knowing, I'm sure that those graves all had, we can find out who's where in today's world.
But with no technology, you're just stuck wandering, looking.
around trying to find who's who on those beaches.
And I love when he actually sees William T. Dixon and he just stops and you actually see Daryl
cry, which you had like, well, three times, maybe four times you've ever seen Daryl cry?
I almost thought that he would drop to his knees, but he didn't.
I thought that would be maybe that's too much for him.
Yeah, that's too much for him.
But I mean, but it's also kind of showing that, well, he does have a tie to France.
He does have family in France.
This is kind of like his land, really.
Yes.
I mean, his granddad fought for it, died for it.
He's buried there.
I mean, and that's when he started crying, I was like, that's kind of not only him thinking
about his granddad, but thinking about what that means as far as his place and leaving it.
You can't leave it now.
I know.
So now he can't, he can't be the one to leave Laurent because he would be like what he
criticized his granddad for.
And his dad.
That's what Isabelle was saying.
You think you're changing history
You know you're repeating it
And so as he's on the beach
Calling the boat
And Laurent shows up there
I'm not sure
Was that real or is that
I think it was real
Because when it zoomed out
Laurent was still standing there
I think Laurent followed him
And but my get
I've seen a
I know we're cutting to the end
I'm gonna cut to the ending scene
Back in America in a minute
But I saw a couple people
Talk because I rewatched the clip
Someone posted on YouTube
I get the show
but some people were saying that
oh maybe Laurent will go with him to America I'm like I don't think he's
actually gonna go way I don't think he's gonna go I think it would be amazing I would
like it if he's not there and I don't know yeah like see like episode one
cut to Laurent like praying just like keep feeding the audience the possibility you
know what I mean that's just completely imagined that's where that's where my head was
at it was like that's not him you know that
There's no way because they showed Daryl leaving the nest,
and you don't just leave the nest and somebody follows you and you don't see them.
You know what I mean?
That's a wide open space.
You see who's behind.
That's why it's the nest.
And they just let the Messiah leave on his own?
Right.
No way.
I think we're right in that it's him praying and Daryl is seeing him.
but then like but then you notice he looks back and forth for a quick second he's like okay
he's like what am i going to do
like you notice that he's like i mean he can't leave you can't i'm sorry i just i you know
screw america but he's the messiah to take care of damn it his name is jeff
basically he's adopted his adopted son basically that is not the opinion of the other
two casters on this like but like his basically he's
his adopted son.
Like that's basically what Loran is.
Well, he's got to take care of the Messiah.
He's the maiden.
Well, the Messiah takes the throne.
Daryl's going to be there with a cigar going, all right.
I got you, bro.
So Carol is going to find, so that actress is finally going to say, okay, fine.
This is now that the show is such a raging hit.
Now I'm going to go do it in France.
Well, I don't.
Well, I don't think so.
Because, you know, he announced right at New York Comic Con that she is going to be a, you
part of the show. She's going to be season two.
But I don't think I, you know, maybe she can't go to France.
If she goes to France, that's exactly what it is, Jason.
That's exactly what it is.
Oh, it's a hit now. Sure, I want to be a part of it.
But the thing, no, no, the thing is we, when they filmed that scene, I don't think it was a
reshoot that happened two weeks ago to edit it in.
Okay.
Like, if the, like, why, like, you guys forget how long it takes to actually put this stuff
together. That probably was filmed months before the first episode was made.
Which we didn't know what kind of hit it would be.
What kind of big deal it would be back at that time.
So now that it is a big hit, she wants to be more a part of it.
I think it's very possible.
Yeah, but I think that the show is going to be, you know, she's going to be a big part of the flashbacks here in America.
Can we take a moment just to say, I love more.
It was good seeing Carol again.
It was good seeing Carol and like her doing like.
like he like opens the trunk and she just kind of takes out the rush and think oh i was the whole time i was
like biker jeff bridges is so screwed he's like the moment she stepped out i was like oh dude you just
signed your own death and weren't it just the back up on your little jeff britches but absolutely
he's screwed and it was it was good to see carroll so i think right season two is going to be
He stays in France and the flashbacks in America because she's looking for him, right?
She wants to know where he is.
And no one knows.
No one knows where he is, although French doc needs more walkers, right?
He's got a, Jeanette wants some, a little bit more testing needs to be done on the serum.
To, you know, for her walkers.
So maybe he comes back to America and that's where Carol finds out that Darrell, that Dixon is in.
France. Yeah, I would, I would just assume that she would trace, trace the bike back to that camp.
She would torture or interrogate those guys and then jump on the next boat to go out to see what happened to Daryl, to see if he's still alive.
And then she shows up in like what, episode three or something like that in France or who knows, something like that.
By the way, that's almost confirmation that he's not getting on that boat and going to America.
Almost, yeah. Because there's no reason to have her on this investigative trail if it, if it's not. She's not coming from.
The France.
Yeah.
But I'm telling you, man, this show was freaking amazing.
It was, it was better than Dead City, in my opinion.
But.
Yeah.
No question.
Yeah, absolutely.
But, man, think about this.
Think about this track record.
We had, after the main show, obviously, we had fear, which had its ups and downs,
a lot of downs, a lot of downs.
But then...
Let's talk about the ups.
Yeah, true.
The ups of fear are good.
But then there was World Beyond, which had like three ups.
But.
But then we go on to.
I did like a couple of the single episode shows that they did.
But then Tales of the Walking Dead.
Tales, that's what I was talking about.
Half of the show was good.
Half of it was eh.
Then they go on to Dead City, which is good.
We all agree.
Like I didn't see anybody complaining that Dead City was bad.
Everyone was like, oh, Dead City's pretty good.
I like this show.
Yeah.
It has some pretty good.
The effects are pretty good.
It's fun being in New York.
It's fun seeing some more savior background.
Huh, this is interesting.
And the ending with Negan, like the girl wanting him to take over New York, be a leader, like all that.
That was great.
And then we get to Daryl, which is amazing.
Yeah.
Those who live should be amazing.
I hope so.
Now, we saw the trailer for it.
So the one trailer from New York Comic-Con.
It's supposed to start February 24th.
But, all right, I won't be blasphemous this week, okay?
How was the trailer?
I won't be blasphemous this week.
But, okay.
How was the trailer?
That's fine.
Wait, what?
Wait, what?
It's fine.
It's fine.
I said it's fine. I just feel like I don't think it better be as good as Dead City.
I don't know that it can be as good as
Daryl Dixon, but we'll see.
We'll see.
I hope that it is.
The thing, okay, so the thing that I see we were tracking,
the thing that worries me about it a little bit,
and maybe it's unfounded because it's so early,
but the teasers we got for Daryl Dixon looked amazing.
Yes, they did.
Remember it was cinematic?
Yes, exactly how the show was.
What we're seeing from those that, was it?
The ones that live?
The ones that live.
Seems more in the line of Dead City.
A little bit.
Now, to be fair, it is just a New York Comic-Con teaser.
It's fair.
By the way, if you go back, I haven't seen it,
but if you look at the Daryl Dixon,
like Comic-Con teaser from I think last year,
it probably looks pretty similar until we get to the main trailers.
Main trailers are where I'm focused on.
The teasers from Comic-Con is just, hey, get hyped.
Yeah.
Okay.
All right.
You know what?
I'm happy that Rick is back.
They're happy I said it.
I'm happy that Rick is back.
I got to say this too.
I can't wait for the Rick and Michelle in Love story.
I got to say this too.
I remember.
I got to say it was hilarious, me remembering this.
Back when they announced all these spinoffs,
we all, including me a bit, were like, oh, God, the Daryl, the Daryl show.
Like, originally it was the Daryl Carroll show and then just the Daryl show.
We were all making fun of going, oh, it's probably going to suck.
and then this dropped
yeah
they definitely showed us all
but is this
would this have been better
with the addition of Carol
I can't see it
no I do like the idea of Carol
actually coming to France
trying to find him
I don't
I don't
but then just her coming with him
I don't I like Carol as
the one of those
the peripheral person
still in America
I don't like her coming to France
she comes to France
she screws everything up
that's a worry
that is a worry
because they're on they've tapped into something very good right now yes they have don't fix something if it ain't broke
i know uh and these first this first season of darrell dixon ain't broke
and it was really good but you know you know what this tells me
this tells me because we're getting a second season of dead city we're getting a second season of
the walking dead i believe and we're getting it and we know we're getting a second season of darrell dixon
right
if
those who live
is really good
the ones who live
the ones who live
those who live
we're going to get a second season
and we should be getting more Rick Grimes
yeah
great
pick it out
oh
that's great
dad come on
I will tell just a side story
that
my oldest son
Elvis
started rewatching
the Walking Dead again
because he's been texting me
I just got to see season two
oh my gosh I forgot how much
I liked Shane
Rick what a pussy
funny enough
Rick kind of becomes like Shane in season 5
and then it turns right
then they turn Rick into the hero
and that's obviously how we
you know fall in love with Rick Rhymes
as the badass
but
it's all I'm saying
it's just a little story
A little side story.
A little side story.
I'm excited.
Will I be watching the ones that live?
Absolutely.
100%.
And fear starts next week.
The final episodes of Fear the Walking Dead.
We'll be back.
And then we have February 24th for the ones who live.
No dates on Dead City or Daryl Dixon for season two.
Any predictions for fear?
I will watch it.
I will watch it.
I will watch it.
I'll tell you that the episode that's going to be airing called Anton, Strand fights to protect his new life when it's threatened by the arrival of an old friend.
So we know what's her face shows up and they're going to be battling over property.
So great.
I know.
I know.
So Morgan's gone and so is Dwight and Sherry.
They're not in, they're not in to fear anymore.
They both left.
All three of them left.
Well.
So we don't have Dwight and Sherry because they broke up and left after their son died.
And then Morgan and Mo are out to find Rick.
So they're probably going to be in the ones that live.
I would have been happy with what's his face sticking around.
Dwight?
Yeah.
I've been happy with Dwight sticking around.
You know what's making me enjoy me listening to you guys talk about fear so much?
I figured out I've hacked how to.
watch fear. So you, when you read
the description in my mind,
after you read it, I just pictured
or envisioned the sound.
Womp, womp, womp.
And then Max goes into talking about it and you
ended, and I heard in my head.
Womp, womp, wom. I'm going to do that now
after, like, they're going to go to a
commercial break. I'm going to play that sound
off my stereo in my house.
It's going to make me happy and then we'll get
to the next segment.
Thank you for listening to Talking, Walking
Dead. My name is Jeff Fisher.
Jason Butchral, Maximus Fisher, and you, the listener, thank you so much for listening to Talking Walking Dead.
And we'll see you next week when we discuss Fear the Walking Dead.
Wompom.
