All right, so testing one, two, three, testing, one, two, three.
I can still, can you push that button?
Thank you.
All right, so Jason.
Yeah.
You got me?
There you go.
Boo-ya.
Max.
My good.
Hello.
Yes.
Thank you.
All right.
We good to go.
I'm going to give you a quick open and then into the music, okay?
And it doesn't, Chris is going to add it so it needs to be tightened up.
Oh, well, just, you know what I mean?
Let's just get it in there.
Wait, what were you saying before?
All right, let's go.
Somebody's rushing us, apparently.
Calm the hell down.
Season 10, episode 11 of the Walking Dead, titled Morning Star.
That makes this Talking Walking Dead.
Welcome to it.
Myself, Jeff Fisher, Jason Buttrill, and Maximus Fisher,
talking Walking Dead.
The IMDB description, The Whisperers are coming.
coming for Hilltop.
After Daryl and Lydia's encounter with Alpha,
the communities must decide whether to run or fight.
You can guess which one they did.
Eugene's communication with Stephanie gets complicated.
So before we start breaking it down, Jason,
thumbs up, thumbs down.
Did you enjoy it?
This is a dope episode.
I'm really into it.
It wasn't one of the choices, but go ahead.
I had to add dope because it's never on the list of choices for some reason.
What's funny, though,
I was just about to tell Max right before we started
is I went through this entire episode
watched it. I was like, hey, pretty good episode.
I'm kind of annoyed that they didn't show the battle.
And then I, because I saw the talking walking dead right
afterward, talking dead. And I was like, oh, crap.
So they're going into that. I never watched that.
So I just turned the TV off. And then later
I started seeing tweets going, oh my gosh, great battle.
I was like, what? So I had to go back to the DVR.
I was like, oh, this may seem even a better episode.
It was good.
Yeah.
Max?
I thought it was a pretty good episode.
episode as well.
And it should gave you some point or some ideas for the future perhaps.
Yes.
Which we'll get into, which you were pretty happy about.
I saw, you know, we had the opening scene with Negan and Alpha.
And one of my favorite tweets during that scene was,
Negan looks like he's questioning his life choices.
And beta preparing syrup.
Yeah.
The tree sap.
I had to Google that because I was like, what?
You didn't know, you didn't know tree sap was flammable?
Are you being serious right now?
Does anyone know that?
Besides Eagle Scouts for crying out loud?
99.9% of the population is not an Eagle Scout.
Why is they have syrup?
Max is like, hey, you could build skyscrapers with it too.
Let me show you.
Just cut the trees down.
Here's this glue for houses.
What was funny is when I Googled that, last night it was like around 11 o'clock.
And that was one of the trending Google searches.
Everybody is tree sap flammable.
It was great.
Max tweeted, duh.
Duh, yeah.
So, and then we had the great, we had the great Negan mask as he was actually now.
He's one of the whispers with his Joker mask.
I was, I was happy that they showed us a little bit of Negan.
And especially like that opening scene you were just talking about when he was talking to Alpha.
Alpha.
So wasn't that normally beta's role?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
I didn't even know if they hinted this in the comics, Max,
but like he's kind of taken over for Beta, is what it seems like.
At the, it's always been Negan and Beta.
Well, Negan's always been Negan, but Beta never liked Negan.
Which is clear now more than ever.
Oh, it's going to get worse.
And as they were walking in the herd, remember Negan was walking with Alpha and Beta was in the back like,
what is going on?
Yeah.
I'm going to have to put an end to this.
Yeah.
The comics didn't really go this far with Negan and Alpha's relationship.
They definitely delve more into it in the show, which I like.
Right.
And it seems, you know, it really does seem, as when you saw one of the premiere clips for next week,
it almost looks like we could be close to a max prediction.
Yep.
You know what one.
It looks like next week might.
be alpha's death at the end of the episode.
Could be the setup, though, or the setup to her death.
There's a reason to because there's confirmation about what's happening in two weeks.
So I'm going to save that for later.
No, let's have it right now.
Yeah, okay.
Let's do it.
Next episode, next episode.
You got me hooked.
Okay.
Next episode, my theory is the end of the episode will be in Negan killing Alpha.
They showed a clip where Negan has taken Alpha to this.
other this small building, like the small shelter or something like that.
He said he found something she was looking for.
But anyway, that doesn't happen in the comics, but either way it leads probably to the same place of him cutting off her head.
Right.
But if that happens, that's where it ends.
Wait, are we getting an official prediction?
Yes.
Oh, this is part two.
It's part two.
No, here's the reason.
Episode 13, which is the week after next week, because next week is,
episode 12.
That would make the next one 13.
Episode 3.
No, you guys aren't going to like it.
If Bloomberg gave one million dollars.
Oh, not this.
Not this.
No politics here.
But,
uh,
next,
the,
the episode 13,
you guys aren't going to like this.
Is the Michone episode.
Oh,
yeah.
So the,
next week's episode is going to,
is going to end with Alpha dying.
It's,
Cuts off and then next, and then the week after that is Michaud.
Yeah.
That's my prediction.
Or it ends with, uh, it ends with it looks like, right?
We don't get that until maybe 14.
Oh gosh.
So both of those scenarios are very possible with how agency operates.
Yeah, because I knew, I knew like the clip that they played for the preview last week for this week was the beginning of the battle.
Of course, that's the end of the episode.
It went further than you thought, though.
It did.
It did.
It was nice to watch.
And I like the, you know, as we get into the episode, you have, you know, Eugene
Yaping to Stephanie over the radio.
Yep.
Wow, they are really setting up this.
They sure are.
This happened in the comics, too.
This is completely comic accurate, where they completely set up the Commonwealth like this.
How long was it when they started this?
Did they actually introduce the Commonwealth?
about a few issues after the Whisperer War
So that's interesting
I mean they're going to milk the Whisper War out for as long as they possibly can't
I think it's going to end at the season
I think the Whisper War is ending this season
Because the reason that Michoen is gone
Is that she's off to get more weapons right
Bigger weapons to help with the war
Yeah I believe so with the Virgil guy
Into that island
How many episodes do we have
That's 16?
Till 16
Wow, and you think it's going to be over
The entire storyline by the end of this season.
The Whisperer War, the Whisperer season,
The Whisperer Arc, I mean, was always
great, it was just short.
In the comics.
In the comics, they kept it short.
Short and sweet.
The Commonwealth was definitely all-out war with Negan
was definitely longer in the comics
than the Whisperer War was.
I think that would be great
because we'd get a lot more action packed into the season
and then just move on.
Yeah, be over with it.
But, I mean, there's not a whole lot of content.
after Commonwealth, right?
I mean, that's it.
Commonwealth is the end game for the dead comics,
and then I'm guessing after Commonwealth,
maybe that leads into the Rick movies?
Yeah, the next season would be tied into the Rick movies.
It would be tied into fear.
If our theory is correct.
It would be tied into World Beyond,
which is just supposed to be limited series, right, two seasons.
I saw that.
Last night, that's surprise me.
You know, you bring all those together into the movies, and then everything wraps up into one, as we talked about before, where it's just one show.
Yeah.
They all meet up and it's just one show.
There's no way they get, I mean, there's no way we lose all the shows.
My idea is that, no.
I think my, I, you know my idea where all the shows will merge and then, like, they all meet up.
All the characters do.
And then that goes into the first Rick movie and then the second and third and the third one.
Because it's a planned trilogy.
Right.
That the third one is the end of the Walking Dead TV franchise.
And that's where it ends.
The third movie.
I don't know that they do that, though.
It's an awful lot of money.
It almost kind of seems like they're testing right now whether it's economically viable to have any of these spinoffs.
Yeah.
Because if they are on that timetable where we only have like, say, three to four more seasons left.
then they're going to want
something, they're going to want to
somehow continue this on. They have to, right?
I mean, if it's making money, if it's still number
one, two or three on the
ratings list. It's still number one,
I think. You've got to.
Right. Amc has to.
That's what's keeping them afloat.
I mean, the other shows are, you know, their other
series on AMC are fine, but
they certainly haven't made the cash
that
Dead has. Oh yeah. I mean, look at
Better call Saul.
It's shot beautifully, good actors, everything, and it's still down the line.
Yeah, it's not.
It doesn't bring in dead.
It's under fear for crying out loud.
Back to the, back to the episode.
No, we're discussing the future.
We're talking to.
I know we're discussing the future.
And then as we get to, we get to our favorite character that we all forget about is Earl.
Oh, crazy Earl.
The grumpster.
I love it.
Earl.
As our Facebook.
as our Facebook fan, Justin
points out, okay, Earl needs to become
the new leader. I completely
forgot about him. We need an Earl and
Negan conversation. Oh, totally.
That'd be so great. That'd be great.
I knew for the giggo right when you saw him. I was like, oh,
hell, yeah, we got Earl. And of course, his
first is, right? Here is that.
Who is that? Who is that? I told you.
I told you what we're going to have in her.
I don't know who she is.
You can definitely understand where he's coming from
with that conversation, though.
So good.
Sure.
So good.
He's so, that's my kid.
And then, of course, there's Alden, too.
Then, of course, there's Alden, too.
Yeah, and Alden's his sidekick, right?
I always just go, always, you know, just kind of needle him.
And I like to Alden with, oh, you really think so?
Of course I do.
Yeah.
Of course I do.
Get back to hire and there.
It's so good.
So good.
And then we had, and of course, you know, then you get the, you know, the gamma,
wanting to see the baby and Earl doesn't want that
and her sneaking around trying to look at the kid
and Alden's, you know, get out of here.
I don't want Earl seeing this, man.
Dude, trust me, man.
He gets crazy.
You do not want Earl to see him.
We had a small mention of Enid too because of the pikes.
Right.
And then one of my favorite scenes was the King and Carol.
Well, which one?
The one where they were by the river?
No.
I know what's one you're talking about.
You know, the river where he, you know, shows up.
you know, hey, this is Daryl's place,
and I knew you'd be out here.
But when they're back at Hilltop,
and Carol gets a little neck growth hottie,
a little neck growth business with the king.
Oh, you're dying of cancer, business.
They're so setting up his death.
That's got to happen.
I'm a little nervous with the, you know, it's not going to happen.
Deep down, you say to yourself,
it's not going to happen,
but it sure seems like they're given
Darrell the get go to I think they're they're trying to fool us with the way he the way he was
talking you know and if things go sideways and we get separated one of us doesn't make it
now that's setting you know you're uh you're obviously setting it up for the king of course yeah
yeah but uh you know i think they're trying to say well we do that with other characters too
darrell we don't lose him and uh you know it just seems like whoof if that would be that i think
No, no, I was, no way, right?
There's no way in my heart, no way.
I think the show careers would offer him double salary.
If he was like saying,
ah, why don't you go ahead and write me out?
Because I'm kind of getting sick of this.
I want to ride my motorcycle some more.
Dude, 100 million an episode, you're staying.
I have a theory that Daryl might get Rick's comic death.
Which is down the road, though.
Yeah, which is the end of the Commonwealth storyline.
Right, way down the road.
Which is, you know, which is possible because by that time
in a year or two or a couple more seasons.
Hopefully you've brought in some characters that can hold the line,
but I don't know.
I don't know if you can or not.
And you're wrapping it up at that point.
Yeah, if Darrell gets Rick's comic death,
the show will be around over at that time anyway.
And so one of my favorite scenes from the show
is when Rosita comes to visit Eugene.
First, you know what I mean?
Rosita visits them at the radio booth.
and, you know, screws it up with Stephanie.
And she says, hello, well, oh, and Eugene, you know, screws it up,
and he's so bummed that he's been, you know, all hot for Stephanie.
But then she comes back and comes back and sees him outside.
He's getting the batteries all ready for the Walker Horde.
That was a good idea, but...
And it looks like they're going to kiss.
And I laughed with Max out loud during the episode.
And Max...
He said the same thing.
Max laughs, and he goes,
Oh, man, that's a good thing that I didn't have.
He saved himself from the Jasoning.
That's exactly what I said.
And I get a text from Jason.
Like right after I say that.
Eugene just barely escaped my death row list.
So funny.
Which I think that's...
You could have at least given Eugene a small pass.
No, no, no, no.
I've had it up to here with all my girls being, you know, thrown off to other characters.
I'm like, yeah, straight up.
And it's...
We know that by now we've proved.
that AMC and the creators
listen to this podcast. Yes.
They've taken our advice on multiple
things. Yes, they have. And this is
one more case of that, proving to be
true. Because they know that I would have
found some way to ride in a Eugene
death in one of these episodes.
So they were like, I guarantee you before, it was
written as they kiss. But because
of our listeners and this
podcast and Jeffrey, you put in the song.
Also, in the comics, him and Stephanie do
get together. So.
Okay, so
that gets me to that.
Does that save Eugene from dying in the whisperer war with his meeting with Stephanie?
For the Commonwealth.
Or does he still get to death?
Rosita lives.
And we find out that he told Rosita about the meeting that he's supposed to have with Stephanie and she goes in his place.
Both are possible.
I just think they're so thin now on beloved characters in the show.
Tough to get rid of them, man.
It's hard to get rid of them.
Well, even King's up there now.
Ezekiel's up there now.
And he's gone.
I think he's gone.
He's got cancer.
He's got the growth.
He's already had his, he's always had his cancer business with Carol.
He got his sympathy screw.
Him and Rosita are on borrowed time right now because they died during the pikes in the comics.
Right.
So, I mean, but the only reason they're on borrowed time is because we're so thin on characters
that there's no way that they kill them off, right?
I mean, that's what saved her.
I could, I could easily, although it pains me to say this, I could easily see.
them killing off Rosita not being that big of a deal.
She's loved enough for people to go, oh, man, that sucks.
But she's not, like, so pivotal.
Other than Eugene.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That Eugene rises above Rosita.
Yeah, I can almost see that.
And then we had the Lydia talking to Carol, and, you know, I love the little Lydia with her little heart,
H&L.
That was made, like, a while ago.
Back in season nine.
I know.
It was her little love memory of how things are okay and why she wanted to, why she wanted to be here.
So cute.
And then the horde is coming.
The horde is coming as they're preparing for the horde.
Like when they're setting up the traps and the bar and the electric wire, you just see the rats.
Yeah, I want to get to the rats.
That's the, have we ever seen, do you recall, because the horde is chasing out the animals.
Why wouldn't other animals be coming?
Are they all dead?
The deer, everything else is running.
You know what I mean?
The only thing we see is the rats being pushed out of the underbrush.
Other animals would be running too, right?
Unless the horde has killed them.
But have we ever seen rats be pushed out of a place, a house, a building, a warehouse, something because of walkers?
I was trying to remember because I don't remember.
Not off the top of my head.
There might have been one time.
I can't remember specifically, but there might have been.
That's what I mean.
You know, is there something that we could, you know,
Walking Dead obviously would reference back to,
well, we chased them out of, you know,
Warehouse B in season six,
and that's what brought it on.
I can almost guarantee you that if Max does not remember it,
it probably never happened.
Right.
Because Max would remember it.
Right.
Okay.
That's a great point.
So it's really strange to me.
It could be the fact, too,
that most of the time when we usually see a horde,
we usually don't see a horde,
we just see herds,
that either they're a small herd or even if they're a big herd,
they're in this one confined space like the quarry.
There would definitely be no rats in a quarry.
And we've seen them in giant fenced in areas.
Yeah, but this is just them in a forest.
And this is even if this is just a quarter of Alpha's hoard,
that's still bigger than the average herd.
Right.
Well, got you.
Understand.
And definitely there's.
And I'm just surprised that there weren't.
Other animals.
A deer.
You know, some kind of deer or, you know, a squirrel.
Because we see them, they're out hunting.
They get a rabbit every now and then.
You know, they pull a rabbit out of their hat every now and then.
You know, they pull a squirrel out of their hat.
I love the fact that it was that tense moment.
And everyone's like, oh, crap, the horde.
And then Jeffie's like, dude, we're the squirrels.
Are you kidding me?
Did the horde stop off for lunch and just sitting there eating the squirrels?
in the forest
as possible
like that
I mean the last
I mean the last time
I mean if the squirrels are going up in the trees
to hide from the horn
so the rats would go to
why would they all be running out like this?
I mean the last time we really saw rats on the show
if you think about it
was either during
when the when Egan went into the abandoned sanctuary
or right
when like early season
four or five around that time
when with Lizzie when she was feeding
the rats to the walkers.
Right?
I mean, right, there have been rats in episodes, but I was just trying to remember if any
herds, not hordes, had chased them out of buildings or not, and I don't remember
ever seeing that before.
It was, that was just, I mean, it was a cool thing.
It was a cool thing.
And, you know, the horde is coming and they're kicking up all the dust through the
forest.
That was cool.
Just seeing the dust over the...
The sign of the rats or, you know, that the horde is coming.
But again, hello.
They're the only animals out there?
Yeah.
Dude, we're the squirrels.
This is not believable.
Where are the squirrels?
Then of course we saw
And of course we see them all gearing up with a...
Preparing for the war.
I know they were preparing for the war.
That's right with Eugene over the radio singing some Iron Maiden.
I got to tell you.
And of course you knew it was an Iron Maiden song.
Of course.
I mean, you were humming it right with Eugene.
Totally new.
He was singing.
I'm a metal head, so I like iron feet.
So.
Yeah.
When he was, speaking of Eugene and the preparations, I was, I guess because you all,
we were always just so used of Eugene doing weird crap.
Right.
I didn't even think that he was doing something.
Worthy?
Yeah, like when he was messing with the batteries and all that crap.
But it didn't even dawn on me to like later when the, they started going into that.
Into the wires?
Yeah.
I was like, oh, crap.
And what a great idea, right?
Now, you knew it was going to be the batteries had very low power in them anyway.
So you didn't know it wasn't going to last very long.
Plus, I mean, you think about the Horde, man.
That's just overwhelming the system.
There's no way.
I know they want to stay in fight, but it just seemed to me that that was a,
it's kind of a dumb move.
Been smarter just to get the hell out.
Yeah.
Well, they tried, remember.
They were going to.
I know, but they had an opportunity at one point to pack it up and go.
The Horde is coming.
and pack it up and go and then go make your stand at Alexandria.
I'm constantly amazed in some of these where they don't choose to use the fortress that's
available to them to fight these things.
So like that's not how warfare works.
Really?
You don't, like if I'm commanding the armies of Hilltop.
I was in the military.
I mean, the whole purpose of having a fortress is to use it.
Right.
So you mount your defenses from inside the fortress.
you don't send all your fighters to die on the outside.
Well, they had wrapped, it was like.
Well, they also said that they had pretty much just figured out at that point
because they were going to go out searching for Magna and Connie again in the caves,
but Darrell came back with Lydia saying her mother's coming,
and they even said it wouldn't be long, it wouldn't take,
it would take too long to either get to Alexandria or get people here.
And it was a good awakening when Darrell, the road was blocked in a negon fashion.
Like the way that thing was shot too
Like when it was like in front of Darrell pulling back and you see the barricade with the trees
I immediately just click going this looks familiar
Right I mean it's definitely Negan
And then of course the walker hanging that really
And Darrell hits right he's with them now
Is that what the Sabres say they left the walkers game
Remember when they were barricading all the road all the way around the season 6?
No yeah I remember that I just don't did I didn't remember if they had walkers
Yeah they had a walker hanging from the bridge near one of the barricades
So why would he do that?
Is he signaling?
I think so.
I think that's his way, right?
He's talked his way in to Alpha, right?
Because Alpha wants, does my true skin disturb you?
No.
I mean, he's got Alpha turned down to the Max now, right?
I mean, she is just nothing but all over Negan.
And Beta is on the outside.
So, you know, that's his way of saying,
I'm here.
Yeah.
Right?
I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
He's probably looking at it like,
I'm trying to tell you, I'm with her.
I got it.
You know, I got you.
All right?
Just hold your, hold your ground and I'm going to take care of it.
Well, that'll, so that's definitely going to come into play once Negan switches sides.
Because I don't know, because Darrell will be all pissed.
But then Negan will say, hey, that was me trying to save you.
Right.
I'm trying to tell you.
I'm on, yeah, I'm with her.
You know that.
I'm here.
I'm on the inside.
I'm taking care of it.
And this definitely, and that goes.
And that goes towards Max's theory that this could happen next episode because he was like that one where he was like, dang, you're ruthless.
You know what I mean?
Or you're a badass or whatever he said.
Right.
And the whole, you know, the stick whipping and the going crazy.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
Let's remember.
He's, I think, generally loves Judith.
So.
Yes.
So that's probably the thing that's at the top of his mind right now.
This, I cannot let this happen to Judith.
Right.
So he's pushed probably.
Probably to his breaking point.
I know.
I know.
So he's doing just enough to stay in the graces of Alpha for now
until he gets that moment in the forefront, right?
That moment in the little shack that they showed.
I found out who you were looking for.
And who is he going to try to sell her on?
Gamma.
I don't know.
It's maybe either Gamma or Lydia?
Lydia.
I was thinking Lydia was my first thought.
He said I found what you were looking for,
not who.
So I don't know.
So maybe that's where she's been staying.
Oh, yeah.
Maybe that,
because they haven't really talked about where she went.
Right.
That'd be where she kept all her makeup and her toiletries and everything because she was so clean
and made up when she found Daryl in the.
And apparently her steroid stash because she can now carry grown men across the forest.
You can carry grown men to safety.
You're going to find like vials of anabolic steroids.
It was cool seeing R.J. again, just a little bit.
Like when they went in a bokelex?
When Daryl and the rest of them were putting the kids in the carriage before the roadblock
And we see we see R.J., Rick Jr. wearing the hat and with Daryl's vest.
Yeah, and it was nice to see Judith, you know, it's always Judith wearing that bad ass.
We're wearing a Rick's gun.
Just about it big as her.
Piss me off to see R.J. wearing the hat, though, as Judith.
Right.
Piss me off.
Right.
Kind of with you on that.
Yeah.
Kind of with you on that.
Judith is Rick.
All right.
Judith is now morphed into our Rick Grimes.
Leave the head alone.
Where was that?
I was watching,
when I was watching that battle,
I kept waiting for any second for Little Miss Grimes to come barreling through,
defying,
you know,
she's somewhere,
right?
Because at the end.
That's got to be next episode.
Well,
in the end,
I don't remember if it was the preview or if it was the end of,
okay.
In the sneak peak,
they're looking to get out.
The king is grabbing all the kids.
Remember,
he told Daryl,
if it goes sideways,
and you'd get the kids out,
and he specifically told Judith to go with the king if it happens.
She better defy that.
Well, as the king is gathering, getting the kids out, he stops and goes, where's Judith?
Oh, really?
Yeah.
Oh, crap.
I didn't see that.
So she's, you know, she's terrible.
And in the background of that sneak peak, you see the main building of hilltop burning.
Yeah, it's pretty impressive.
I mean, that's when you talk about, you know, your military prowess,
how you need to defend the walls.
So you were right, though.
Like, I told me we're like hilltops going down.
Yeah.
There's no way.
And, you know, when, and of course, I mean,
Eumach says the genius knew that sap is flammable.
When they slingshot it on the, on them.
I didn't look it up, but I went,
okay, I guess sap is flammable.
I was trying to figure out.
I was like, so the sticky.
It smells like syrup.
They're going to attract bees or something.
It's like,
and a flaming arrow.
The horse didn't scare out any bees, but all the rats came.
The bees are still hanging out in the woods.
So, I mean, yeah, I mean, hilltop burns, right?
I mean, the gate down, it's, there's, that's what I meant by the horde.
I mean, that's such an overwhelming presence.
I don't even think this is all over horde.
I think there's just like a little more than I,
quarter of it maybe? I don't know. I don't know about that, but I mean, it's such an overwhelming
presence. It's tough to
think that in the back to the batteries, right? I mean, you knew it was a great idea,
but that's a great idea for, you know, 10 walkers.
Not a thousand or how many are over there.
I mean, it's just incredible. And also the
the little barricade they made to like to spike them off.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, which was great. So what do they do at the end to like deal with
the ward? Like, how do they just,
the vast numbers. They come up with something crazy.
They like, if
I remember correctly from the comics, after
the pretty much during the end of the Whisperer War,
they pretty much have
to lead them to the ocean.
They pretty much lead them to the ocean, so they
just go into the ocean. Yeah.
And they're trying to get away
to Oceanside, so that makes sense, right?
They just ship them into the ocean.
Which still,
I mean, the ocean is fine.
I'm okay with them going into the saltwater,
but it's the freshwater. The freshwater.
The fresh water in the rivers, I don't want the walkers in.
We need to drink that.
It's a filtration system.
But then just like, so they let him in and then that, of course, led to Andrea's death in the comics.
Right, and we still have, you know, speaking, we have, if we have the episode with Bichon, we still have the dingleberries in the cave, right?
So what's the end of the season, the hands coming out of the ground as they, as Magnet digs herself out of the cave?
For the season?
Yeah, I mean, when are we going to find out that they're still alive in the caves?
That's got to be soon, right?
Maybe next episode?
I don't know.
I don't know.
But the next episode is the Mishon deal, right?
No, that's the episode after next episode.
I know that's, okay.
But I'm saying we're already on this week's episode of the war and the Mishon episode following that.
But we have to find out that they're still alive somehow, right?
I mean, we weren't able to go rescue them, but there's got to be a point.
where we as at least fans realize, oh, they're still alive.
And they could come back and, you know, help fight whatever war that's still going on.
Because that's a – and plus we don't know what happens to the Alexandria people, how they help.
Do they stay there and just secure Alexandria or they come up and try to, you know,
help Hilltop and save them as they guide the walkers to the ocean?
I mean, that's why – it's just such an overwhelming –
That's going to be an interesting scene near the end of the season when Alexandria gets hit by the horde.
Okay.
So in the comic books, Alexandria gets overtaken.
It doesn't fall.
Alexandria doesn't fall like Hilltop, but it does get overrun.
They get it back by the end of it, but it does just get flooded and part of it gone.
Not all of it like Hilltop, but a good chunk of.
Oh, there's only so much sap you can bring along from the ride to burn.
That was a pretty good scene, though, with Beda just putting down his hand.
And they just...
With the slay shots?
Yeah.
It was great.
Water balloon war.
Yeah.
Then, of course, we had Neegan and Alpha right there with the whispers with the flame and arrows.
Right.
And that's what I mean.
He's, you know, Alpha's over there with the water balloon crowd.
And Negan is with Alpha going, yeah, you go take care of the water balloons, boy.
I'm over here with my girl.
I mean, he's...
Beta's got to be...
Yeah.
Wait until he finds her a headless corpse because remember, Negan, if this is where it's going,
Negan is going to take her head to Alexandria.
To prove that that's what will help him prove, right?
He goes, I'll let you know.
So Beda will just find her headless corpse.
Right.
I built the wall in the road to let you know I was inside, which Daryl knew when he said he's with him now.
And, you know, here's her head.
And that's, I wanted to let you know.
I was working for you, bro.
Here's her head.
It's going to be tense, especially if, for the people that die,
maybe a next episode, because they wouldn't have died.
They were on their way out.
So that blame will go straight on the end.
So, okay, so I was reading an article in Forbes by Paul Tassie's
guy that writes for Forbes, but his article was Who Survives the Whisperer War?
and his list was
Darrell
Carol
Judith and R.J.
Michone.
Magna.
What's Magna's girlfriend's name?
Yumiko.
Yumiko.
Whatever car you wanted to buy is
the Yumico.
Oh my God.
Oh, my God.
You know, Yoniko.
Connie.
Eugene.
Nigan.
so that means your girl's gone right yeah she bites it that'd be kids the king's gone
Luke that'd be mean Luke is gone Kelly uh our main man Earl right and maybe he's not
maybe he doesn't count and and uh maybe he doesn't count Jerry some of these characters
Jerry see some of these characters like Earl and Jerry are they good enough to survive
and not be counted as one of the top characters.
I don't know.
I know.
I know.
They're right there.
Especially Jerry.
Especially Jerry.
Earl too, though.
Earl is right there with Jerry as far as being a character that we love.
We love the character.
But if he survives, do we count it as a big character survival?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Jerry is such a fan favorite at this point.
I don't know.
People would probably start counting him into the...
I know.
Not as a main character, but a loved character.
Right.
So, I mean, you keep him around, right?
Earl dies.
You'll be like, okay, whatever.
You know, the old grumpy dude had it coming.
You know, pretty much.
I should have died a long time ago.
But I warned you.
Save the kid.
Save the kid.
Arr!
I know, but he's a badass, though.
I love him.
Now he is, yeah.
I love him.
He's right.
He needed two swords out there.
That was a pretty cool scene, though, when they were, when all the part of the front of the
hordes at the barricade and they were just stabbing them and trying to get their heads before
the, before the catapults of sap.
Yeah, and I mean, and Daryl had his morning star, yeah, the, swinging around.
He had said he came up, he developed actually that himself.
He talked about how he wanted it.
Oh, really?
Yeah, Norman Reed has said how he wanted the morning star.
He called, he called the show like the cheap version of Game of Thrones.
That's what he said.
Yeah.
Because of all the weapons, right?
The weapons are what you come up with, right?
I mean, that's what you make.
And that's what he was thinking about with The Morningstar.
And he also joked on the show that comes on right after, at least it did last week,
that, you know, he had digged himself once in the face with the stupid thing.
Yeah.
He looked up with a camera crew, was like, yeah, we saw it.
Yeah, we saw it.
It was really funny.
This episode and next episode was also directed by Nicotero.
So.
Yeah, and there were some great shots, right?
And no question.
So next episode is entitled Walk with Us.
And it talks about Michone taking Virgil back to his mysterious island to Renew and
reunite his family.
And in exchange, right, Virgil was supposed to give her weapons.
This is weird, though.
And it talks about could that change the tide of the Whisperer War?
Well, while that's going on, we have the Whisperer War, right?
So we're talking about a therapist.
mentioning Michone for next episode.
I think
that's a mistake because
I was looking on the wiki and online.
Next episode
and episode 13 have the
same description.
Oh. So it just could be a mistake on the
releasing aspect.
Okay. So next episode, it looks like it's going to continue
the story of Hilltop and then
Niga and the Whispers. And maybe they do it on purpose because
they're going to kill Alpha. And then the episode
after next episode is the Michelle one.
And they don't want people to know.
Yet we do, because Maximus has called it.
On talking, walking dead.
Again, but I...
Again, for the second time.
I hope I'm right this time.
If I'm wrong, okay.
If you, if I'm wrong, what do you guys want me to do?
Get down on your knees, beg for forgiveness.
And I want people listening to subscribe to the podcast
so you're able to listen to Max getting down on his knees.
and begging for forgiveness of being wrong in his prediction.
However, I hope he's right because I want Elfa to die.
Thanks for listening to Talking Walking Dead.
We'll see you next week.
