Season 11, episode 21, titled Outpost 22,
Tick, Talk, Tick, Talk.
We are getting close to the end.
This is Talking Walking Dead.
Welcome to it.
Myself, Jeff Fisher, Jason Buttrill, and Maximus Fisher.
The IMDB description,
The Survivors track a convoy to a mysterious destination.
it's the fifth episode of the final eight three episodes remaining two remaining until the
dramatic finale of the walking dead um i you know i enjoyed this episode there's a lot to pick
apart but overall i enjoyed the heck out of it yeah i i actually wrote notes for this for the first
time in a long time and uh at the top of my little notes i wrote brutal and i think that was like
the thing that I like the most about this episode
is it almost seemed like a return to
almost like shock value of what they're willing to show
as far as the more. Which is awesome.
This was definitely brutal.
Just I mean, kills from characters,
I didn't think that they had it in them or they would
actually show. I can talk about that later.
But, and just, yeah, like, I mean,
from the breakout scene in the very beginning,
that dude's face when he got shot in the back of the head
and it was like up again. And the camera panned
around to it to really zoom in on it.
I was like, whoa, I was like, that's awesome.
Yeah, that was.
Even if you're not, even if you're just like not a Walking Dead fan,
you're just a horror and gore fan, which I'm both,
you would have liked this episode, I think.
Definitely.
Yeah, it was, it was nice to see,
nice to see the, you know, the little bit of fight on the breakout
and the, as they were being shipped off,
and Maggie and Gabriel and Rosita escape.
And we get the, we get the fight scene of the death of the driver
and they're on the run.
I do, you know,
it was interesting that the special guard just falls asleep.
That's actually pretty, that's probably realistic, let's be honest here.
That's what my right underneath brutal, I put break out of convoy and then underneath that,
guard must be high on meth or taking sleeping pills.
Right.
Come on.
This is his deal, right?
That's what you're doing.
We're just riding along.
We're going to outpost 22 and you had one job guard.
And it was to stay awake and not fall into a coma while they make all the noise in the world escaping.
I know that I realize that the truck is, you know, for those of us that have, you know,
struggled in the military over the years.
And those trucks are awful loud riding at the back.
But I mean, you know that, Jason as well as I do.
Oh, when you're a truck into Grenada, I mean, holy crap.
10 hours plus, you know, from Florida to Granada in a truck.
It's just the anniversary, by the way, of Operation Urgent Fury brought back a lot of memories.
Anyway, it was just, it was a strange, you know, I get it.
It's part of the show.
We got it.
That's part of the deal.
But it was fun to watch.
You're right.
It was a good kill with the shooting and then the driver and the crash.
that was fun.
And then, you know, I did like the back and forth, although I was, as the, to Maggie,
after her escape and they're on the road running, I don't understand just the kid.
Are we supposed to feel bad because it's a kid and she doesn't want to kill the kid?
Just going to let it go.
I mean, we're in a new world.
We're going to kill the kid's a walker.
Yeah.
I like that, man.
I don't know. I did.
For one, just a zombie kid
is, again, kind of brutal.
But when she, like, held him,
she was trying to keep him, you know, she was, like, holding him down.
And she kind of rode them over.
And there's a point where they're just, like, staring in each other's eyes.
And I was like, that's just kind of cool.
Yeah, I get where you're coming from, but...
It was a good scene.
I'll have to agree.
I have to agree with Jason on this.
It's just like, yeah, they're exploring different stuff with the walkers,
which I'm all about.
Even if it's, like, referencing, I don't know,
Maybe we might consider goofy.
But I don't know.
It almost seems like especially this episode was a pivot more towards the walker side of the show and not the stupid.
I don't know.
There's a lot of walkers in this episode.
There was a lot of walkers in this episode.
But yeah, I understand.
And we're pivoting toward, you know, we understand we've killed so much that now we feel bad.
And we understand that no matter what, there was still a person there before.
I get it.
Maybe I'm like looking for more stuff because of these, you know, because of that one show variant and we know there's going to be different variants.
But it almost looked like there was a look of recognition in that kid's face, almost like a pause or something.
I don't know.
It was maybe I'm reading too far into it, but.
Right.
It was just an interesting scene regardless.
And then, you know, our group, you know, gets bust off and we're going to, you know, new beginnings.
And we're slaves with no names.
You know, kind of, okay, all right, fine.
We don't know what Outpost 22 is yet.
But they're not at Outpost 22 now.
They're clearing tracks.
Correct.
Yeah.
And half of the group went to another place.
I, uh, when they, when the bus pulled up and they started that, the warden comes out and starts telling them all those rules and like separating them and stuff.
I, like highlighted, um, he said something about this will be your salvation.
And that instantly, because they, right after that.
they pivoted to
to Negan's face
and he had this like
I don't know
not grin but this like
again like a look of recognition
like you know what you're doing
dude I know what I know what this is all about
you know like salvation
even the thing seemed very savioresque
to me
and oh yeah
this was paid off later from another
Negan comment but I wrote right there
that it looks like he's kind of like
you know
directly in tune with this guy
he knows exactly what he's doing
he knows what his playbook is
well there's no doubt about that
and yeah which was said later
yeah right
and uh you know we did get
some glimpses
of Negan going to be Negan
uh we haven't gotten it yet
we better get it
I'll tell you that
yeah we better get it I don't know what it's going to take
to get us there but we better get it
I know that we could jump ahead a little bit
I know that you know when he
uh after there
you know, they're eating their slop
and they've been working
and, you know, he finally
gets a scene with the king,
which is, I think, the first time.
One of the first times
that they've had a full-blown conversation
that wasn't a battle.
Yeah. You know, where
and the king is like, he's not
forgiving Negan at all.
Good. Right.
And Negan's saying, you need to let go
that shit.
Yeah.
He'd shelve that shit.
And he was like, look, maybe I do, maybe I, maybe I do deserve to be in a place like this.
You all don't.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I love that because I, and I wrote in my notes that that was, like the king is the only one acting real so far towards Negan.
Like everyone else is like, all right, fine.
You're back.
You're good.
But like, you shouldn't ever forgive him for anything, right?
Well, yeah.
I mean, the king is like irons to people's faces and killing my people.
No.
Yeah.
Right.
These are pointing out all these horrible things, forcing women to marry him, all this stuff.
I'm like, there should be no forgiveness, you know, for this guy whatsoever.
I would never forgive him.
You may just, you may just beg for food to barely survive.
No, screw you.
You took half our crap.
Oh, you're about to have a kid.
Oh, I'm sure.
Oh, you've bettered out.
That's how I would be.
But, you know, to flip that over, it's nice to have them on your side.
Yeah.
Yeah, the king's got to give that a little bit, which we end up seeing a little bit of that with the king's like, okay, for now.
Yeah, for now I'm with you.
Okay.
And we'll see what Negan has in mind by giving these people hope, right?
I mean, it was, I, you know, of course people we don't know try to escape the being a slave and get killed by the guards.
Kelly tried too, but Ezekiel stopped her and let's be honest, that was the smart move.
No, that was the smart move.
It would have been a real shame for Kelly to die.
I wouldn't have known what to do about it.
It would have been so tragic.
That would have been.
I would have been really bummed.
In the show right here.
It is kind of worrisome, though, that his death would be a big death.
It would shock us all.
But I don't know.
I could definitely, I could see it go in that direction.
He does something and ends up getting killed for the group in the process.
Yeah, well, he has his own show.
Dead City.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that's right.
It's the walking.
Oh, well, never mind.
They changed it the Walking Dead, Dead City.
That's the title of the show coming in, in 2023, early 2020.
So yeah, that kind of takes all of the drama out of what he's about to do.
Although it takes the drama out of what he's going to do.
You know, he's not going to die.
But he could just go away.
Right?
I mean, it could be...
Because his wife is gone now, right?
So is he all...
Is part of Dead City going to be him searching for his wife?
Well, I don't think the Commonwealth has the reach to New York.
But we don't know that.
CRM does.
Yeah.
I mean, we don't know that.
And she's pregnant.
So if she's been taken and then they realize...
that she's pregnant, they're going to ship her somewhere
so that they, you know, you've got to keep the crowd growing.
You know, to keep the group growing.
I'm interested.
Yeah, that's interesting where they're taking them.
And that is, that's very, that's very good because, yeah,
we know that Herschel has been taken somewhere.
We think to Alexandria or Alpoz 22 or whatever.
But it's very possible that both Negan's wife and Herschel are designation too.
Yeah.
And we don't know.
No, because Connie was designation too.
Yeah, but she got saved.
But why would the kids and Negan's wife be designation too as well?
That's the question that we're asking.
Yeah, exactly.
I have no idea.
That's like some people were labeled A, some people were labeled B.
You know, like, we still don't know what that fully means.
Yeah, what did that?
Like, B was like, was it B was like they had potential to be a leader or something like that?
We have no clue.
Yeah, with the trash lady.
Yeah, with Jadis, because we still have no clue what that was because...
I think we did, though.
We did find out somewhere along the line what the rankings were, right?
Didn't she say that?
She said that world beyond, right?
Yeah, it wasn't a direct, but she was hinting around.
She goes, I was wrong, and he ended up being one of the most...
Right.
The best leaders that I had ever known or something like that.
Right.
So she was hitting out.
World beyond, which...
Oh, my gosh, if we see some of world beyond...
Oh, I made this joke.
I got to say this.
In the finale of the show, we will not see Rick Grimes.
We will see Iris, the main character of World Beyond in the final episode.
We delete every podcast we ever did on this show.
Going back years.
Delete them all.
I know you consider her, and I'm not too far off, but I don't hate her as much as you do.
I know you consider her like the worst walking dead character of all time.
Awful.
And I could see that happening.
Oh, my.
I can work it out for that to happen.
That would be awful.
I don't want that to happen at all.
And I did like also, just as a side note, proof that whether a female can actually speak or not speak.
I know Connie was busy whining about having to get.
having to get what's his face uh he when when she was whining um in uh in deaf speak to darrell
and darrell's like i know i got it we'll get him back okay it's just never ending anyway it's just
the the designation two stuff is interesting to me though like i mean it could just be something
stupid like oh that's where they go to get i don't know killed or something like that it could be that but
I mean, it also could be something else.
And the fact that they say they go somewhere and we never hear from them and that one guard in the radio going, oh, I think, did he say shit?
Yeah.
Oh, shit.
Yeah.
Well, get her there safely then.
Remember that?
I was like, hmm.
Yeah.
What is this about?
Right.
And that's, you kind of kind of think that's because of the kids and the young ones, right?
I loved it that they were like, they were torn on like what to do.
And they're like, oh, we'll go find the kids.
Then we can go find her.
And they're like, oh, we'll lose them.
I'm like, it's a train, right?
There's only so many variations those railroad tracks can take.
How about follow them eventually?
You'll get there eventually.
They're so worried.
I was like, it's a train.
Get on the tracks and follow them.
Pretty simple.
Slight plot hole there.
We watched Cowboys and Indians just touch the tracks to see if the trains were coming.
We can pick it out. It's okay.
We've been around for a while.
We know where they're going.
I was like, yeah, the whole thing, like, okay, so I like the train heist.
That's what it felt like, you know, like Midwest train ice.
That was cool.
But the fact that everyone just started showing up at the same spot at random, I was like,
okay, guys.
Like, well, like, when they, when Daryl and Carol just rolled up on Maggie, I was like,
huh, that's fortuitous.
Yeah.
They are following.
Well, they are following tracks.
so they would be in the same area.
Let's be honest.
But they weren't.
They were like, so they were sitting there waiting at that junction for them to come.
And all of a sudden, and in some decision we didn't get to see, they decided to jump in the Jeep and start and drive away and they end up at Maggie.
I was like, what's going on here?
Then they turn around, go back to where they were waiting.
Hang out there.
And then Rosetta shows up.
I was like, what?
Gabriel.
Right.
I don't know.
I get it when they got to get together.
We got to get our group together, but can you be a little more?
And they were in the same general vicinity when it crashed and where they were being taken.
I know.
I mean, it works, but it just.
Did you guys hear a trade?
By the way, I got to say, I love that one scene with the soldier that Maggie stabbed and then Gabriel praying with him.
That was a great scene.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was good.
And it was good.
You know, Gabriel prayed with him and then, you know, and then we then killed him.
Right.
It was like, okay, yeah, I'll pray with you.
But then I'm going to get you.
You're not getting out of here.
My little note.
He's dying already, though.
My note said, good thing they capture the one soldier that's, quote, torn up with guilt.
I was like, again, that's pretty fortuitous.
You get the guy that you can guilt trip into telling you all the secrets.
I remember you.
You were in the back pew.
Yeah.
I was like, wow.
Coincidence.
I know.
It was awesome.
I also, I tell you what,
I also enjoyed the conductor,
willing to kill himself.
Again, brutal.
To go back.
That takes,
that takes the balls.
They never would have showed that.
They fully showed that.
That was shocking in a good way.
Yeah. And then they really drove at home. They showed him stabbing and then when he fell, it like pushed all the way through. I was like, wow. That was awesome. I know. That was really good.
Now, go ahead.
Just say while I'm on like the brutality, when Darrell rode down the guy on the motorcycle, which is funny. I put in my notes again on that, you're never going to outrun a redneck on a dirt bike. It's just never going to happen.
That guy sealed his own death warrant when he challenged Darrell to a motorcycle.
cycle dole like you're done but when he killed him i mean that was just insane he like pinned him down
with his foot and stabbed him in the dome right there i mean he's like whoa it's awesome yeah it's getting real here
i know that's what he darrell wants to do to everyone yeah is just hold him down and stab him in the dome
everybody be done with them all there's no doubt about that cats like carroll was saying maybe we
don't we take a bit take a breath for a little bit so it's okay we'll get them
there. I mean, it was, and then, you know, with Carol and Maggie, you know, having their little cry
fest and preparing to fight, that was, you know, that was okay as they all were showed up together
at the hideaway farm, I guess, where they were. They were at a junction. Yeah, whatever, the hideaway
farm. Yeah, I like that they're doing the callback to where like the strength of them is the
group. And that was kind of like, I guess the entire point of that. That is very true. But every time
they're together, they conquer
the world, pretty much. Nothing can stand against
them. It doesn't matter how scary the group they
conquer. And that was the
ad, right, when they find out that
Outpost 22 is Alexandria,
and Maggie
turns into
Rickish, and
you know, we're going to destroy them.
They're messing with the wrong group of people.
Well, hey, well, she's turning back into
the Maggie that hanged Gregory.
Yeah, I mean, that's definitely a
car moment though, right? I mean, there's no question
about that. And you're right
with our group from the beginning
when we're together
with nothing we can't conquer.
And I don't know that Pamela
won't know they're coming.
I mean, we've already had crashes
and soldiers dying.
Trains deferred.
Yuma code
and like wanting to defend Eugene.
Yeah, I mean, the news is out.
Well, we get some of that next week, right?
We'll hopefully get more.
of Negan and the group trying to figure out what Negan is going to give the people to hold hope on and we'll get some of the trial of what's going on.
So maybe we get Mercer breaking them out and causing a little bit of chaos back at the Commonwealth.
I loved the Alexandria reveal where Alexandria's outpost 22.
and she's like
okay now go to the tree
that looks like a big pitchfork
turn left then go down to the river
that has been dried up for 10 years
and is now more like a dry river bed
turn right then go to it and I'm like there's no way
she's remembering this is like she's gonna be wandering around
in circles in the dark and then at the end she's like
oh and it's like go down multiple roads
and I was like could you have started
with this is Alexandria she could probably find
that in the dark and her sleep
but all that other directions are ridiculous
she didn't know it was her though right
I know, I'm just saying.
I know.
So I thought I recognized that voice.
Yeah.
I thought I recognized.
Yeah, the voice of the,
the voiceover that was giving her directions was Yvette, Nicole Brown,
who was, you know, she's the big fan,
and she's filled in for Hardwick on,
oh, was it?
Follows, yeah.
Yeah.
She's, she's been part of the, part of the show for a while.
And they, you know, they made a big deal out of her doing the voiceover work.
I thought was pretty cool.
I don't think Hardwick's ever been in any of them.
Oh, that's...
Yeah, I'm kind of surprised about that.
It might have been, but I could be wrong.
I don't know.
Let him be a walker or something.
Yeah.
Because she said she had reached out...
The story was that she reached out saying,
hey, it's the final season.
How about I come to Atlanta
and be a walker or something
just to be part of the show?
And they were like, well, we don't really...
No.
a nice, well, no.
But they said, well, we'll give you this job.
We needed someone to be a decent voiceover work for this, which I thought was cool.
Maybe they'll write in a cameo of him hosting when it's all over,
like an inferior talk show to another better talk show.
And everyone knows there's a better talk show on whatever topic he's talking about,
but he does the inferior one.
And they just write that in.
I am a fan of that.
Also, he was, like, on the show that comes on after talking with a vampire now.
He, Hardwick was wearing a Rick Grimes costume.
Yeah, well, they were getting ready for Halloween.
It was definitely Halloween.
By the way, it was definitely Halloween, everybody.
Yeah, thank you.
It's definitely Halloween, for those of you listening, alive of the 31st of October, 2020.
It was, I also, I'm really concerned.
that we continue getting
just snippets of Negan going to be Negan.
I just feel like we're not going to get it.
Yeah.
Just feel like we're not going to get it.
Somebody in my world, someone needs to get an iron to the face.
Yeah.
That needs to happen.
Even though he doesn't do that anymore, that's the point.
That needs to happen.
We need to find out that his wife is dead.
He needs to go back to being Negan
because of that.
And then maybe he can find out that there's a possibility that his wife is still alive
would get us into the new show.
I've written it for you.
Yeah, and that'd be great.
I don't think that they'll ever show him being as brutal as he used to be.
I think that they're pretty clear that he's changed, man.
He's not going to do any of that.
But I'd still like to see the badass, Neiman.
You know, like, and we've said this before, but he was immortal.
He was absolutely immortal.
You couldn't stand toe to toe against Negan.
No one could.
Right.
But now it's like
Random Joe Schmo out walking his poodle
Is gonna take Negan down
Like what
Just because he's not brutal anymore
Doesn't mean he forgot how to fight
Come on
Well one he was in a cell for eight years
And
And two
It looks like we might be getting that
Because the sneak peek on the show that comes on after
Looks like Negan being a bit of Negan
Yeah well he's getting
He's getting questioned by the warden
and it doesn't, it looks,
the warden is questioning him not being a leader.
And again, Megan has that look of,
I know what you're doing, bro.
I already have done that.
Been there done that.
Can't pull this crap on me.
So they're trying to get him to do a double cross on the people.
And maybe that's his plan to do that.
And that will give the king and the rest of them hope
to come up against,
you know,
to come against the guys with
well no it's more of give
Negan wants to give Ezekiel the chance
to give hope because
that's what I said
it's just like weird seeing
everybody like like this and hopefully
we get like a big like climactic
scene of like hey this is this is what's
going to happen. They better do it fast
they don't have too many episodes left
we have three episodes left
we're in the final three people
we have three episodes left and we have
we've seen we've had reports that
Rick was spotted in France.
So they're thinking that he was doing some cameos on the New Daryl show.
I think that I'm not sure if he was down in,
he was down in Georgia when they were filming toward the end.
So I don't mean,
talked about it at length,
but he has to show up.
He has to show up.
Yeah,
I kind of got the feeling that since COVID derailed the movies,
that they're just kind of tying in
what they were going to do into the movies
in this show, hopefully,
you know, on the final maybe couple shows
and then all the spin-off shows.
Because Rick and Michone is getting their own
spin-off show, so.
Right. And that's coming in there.
I believe that's already started
filming or it's going to start
very soon.
The Rick and Michone show.
And they've said that
they want, you know, this is their way of
creating a new,
ending or whatever. So yeah, you're right, Jason. I think that is,
you know, that's their wrap because they're not
doing the movie, which is fine. Yeah.
I mean, I'm sure scripts, or at least concepts were already all
written out and outlines and all that stuff. So instead of doing
like full-blown movies, just split it up into different shows, you know, that they
can produce later, not on the timeline. I remember, uh, I remember
Kirkman actually saying in one interview that, uh,
that COVID kind of actually helped a bit with writing the script because it gave them a bit more time to actually refine some things on the on the Rick stuff.
Yeah, that was by refining some things that meant, okay, we're canceling the movies.
Good. If that helps them not, if it helps them not make another world beyond, I'm all for taking your time.
Take all the time you need.
We'll have Daryl in France, hopefully dealing with some of the variants, right?
I don't know why he would go there.
I'm not quite sure I get it gets him there.
We'll figure it out.
Unless, I mean, okay, so Darrell made a big deal last night, again, of you took my kids, right?
So again, does that, I think that may get us to Negan, the pregnant lady, and the other kids going to New York.
with possibility, I guess, of maybe being separated because the CRM is working with the global people, the global elites.
Huh.
And, you know, maybe they ship some kids over to Europe.
Darrell is following them trying to get them back.
I don't know.
I don't think that because my guess is they actually, I just came, I literally just had this thought.
You know, it would be a good place to send the kids.
He'll top because it's under Commonwealth rule too.
Same with Oceanside.
They could have sent them there.
Yeah, but I feel like they've already, right,
the people that they're sending to Alexandria
was part of the plan to start rebuilding the, you know,
the metroplex of the Commonwealth.
And the younger ones are the kids that they're dealing with CRM, right?
The outside people.
Well, maybe, I don't think so.
That's what plants had set up.
because we have because they took all the kids
they took Judith R.J. Grace
Gracie
and Herschel
Yeah.
Well, let's just see what happens.
I just don't,
I just don't think it's going to connect to CRM
like you guys do with this particular situation.
I don't know if we think that.
I just hope that.
You know,
it's like,
we know Rick is with CRM.
He's going to have to,
he's going to tie back in to the overall story.
I hope.
I mean,
if they don't, this is the Rick Grimes show.
I mean, it's almost not even the Walking Dead.
It was the Rick Grime show.
And you started with him, you've got to end with him.
I don't see how you don't.
But if you do, then you have to tie in CRM somehow.
So, I mean, I'm just exploring possible avenues.
Like, we got this rail, this train going somewhere.
Where's it going?
Where's what's designation to?
You know what I mean?
Like, you've got to tie it in somehow.
And if you have the availability of CRM dealing with the Commonwealth, and now outpost 22 is Alexandria,
Rick is going to get, you know, has that information and realizes, hey, that's, that's his town.
Right. So he's got to come back and maybe do an inspection.
Hey, what do I need? We need to just sit down and write this. Get Gimple on the phone.
I know the filming's already been done, but let's let's reshoot this.
Is there time to change?
Absolutely is.
So anyway,
I know we're,
you're right.
Jason,
more along of the,
we really do hope that it happens.
And it has to.
I know we're,
you know,
we're coming up on the end of this show,
but it was,
it was nice to see the gore.
It was nice to see our group actually,
maybe become our group again,
you know,
become the group that's going to,
it's going to kick some butt.
And it was nice to hopefully get a glimpse.
Well, we got a glimpse and hopefully actually will happen of Negan becoming Negan.
Yeah.
I just had this, this random, like, image in my head of Rick waking up in a hospital and at the CRM place.
They said it wasn't going to be like that, though, right?
But not a dream.
Just like, since they started this show, like ending it with him, I guess maybe just kind of fast-forwarding
to, or rewinding back to when he first, yeah, woke, you know,
woke up after being taken in the helicopter.
Right.
I would even somehow be okay with that, I think.
But that would be, I could see them doing some.
Remember they did a scene not to long ago that mirror, that like mirrored,
was it a couple seasons ago where it mirrored, uh,
Rick walking like by himself by a gas station and helping somebody?
Remember that?
And they didn't, they made a big deal.
how they shot it were a shot for shot exactly that was a hundred dude that was season
eight the hundredth episode with carl yeah that's what i'm asking you like yeah yeah so they
have a they already have a track record for doing similar scenes like that so i mean yeah that would
be kind of cool ended it the way you uh the way you started it would be cool i don't know something
i'm i'm reaching for straws here because i wanted so bad that would piss me off let's get him
if we're going to rewind
if we're going to do that
then we can rewind to him
in the hospital bed but then let's
fast forward to today right
if we rewind the episode
to where we have
Rick awakening in the hospital after
Jada shipped him off
and him you know with that look of where
the heck am I and
what's happening
we know that Jada said he was
you know she was wrong in his
in her
prediction about his work and how what a good leader he was, then we have him walking through
the gates of outpost 22 or something. He's got to be show up for today. It has to show up for the day.
It's almost more interesting to me, like theorizing how they could reintroduce him and wondering what's
going to happen to the group. It's like, I don't really care about the group. I just want to
bring him back. I care about the group. I do too. Let's just reintroduce him. Let's get it over with.
Bring him back. What the hell are we waiting for?
Mr. I wanted to spend more time with my family, but he still spent all his time down in Georgia.
I got it.
That's what's so crazy about the show is we know the group's going to win, right?
It's like watching the movie Titanic.
We know the ship's going down.
We don't know how.
That's the question.
It's like, do we, I don't know if I even really care.
I just, right now in every episode, I'm like, I just want to know how they bring Rick back.
That's it.
Thank you.
Let's work to that.
Right.
So they're going to defeat the Commonwealth.
We got it.
Oh, we didn't see that coming.
We did not.
We thought the Commonwealth was going to win and our group was just going to all get wiped out.
No, we know they're going to win.
I don't think they defeat the Commonwealth.
They think they take it over.
There's a difference.
Well, they win.
And we win.
That's the point.
We win.
Right.
We win.
We know you win.
But how do you bring Rick back?
That's what we all want to go.
And we also know that now it's going to be the king, right?
Negan's already appointed the king as the new king.
He gave him away.
He said, okay, you're going to give him hope.
you're going to be the guy.
He's going to be the new guy, right?
So when they take over Commonwealth,
it's going to be the king.
But do we really care?
No.
I don't.
I want Ezeko shaking hands with Rick and Rick saying,
all right, I'm out of here.
I'll talk to you later.
The thing is,
the way you guys are saying this,
it doesn't make sense for him showing up.
It has to make sense for making good.
good. Right now, it doesn't have to make sense. I want them back. I don't care. Right a bit.
Let's make it happen. Reshoot the scenes, call them back in here, turn those machines back on.
Even though the sets are already taken down. All right. That's it. Let's wrap this thing up.
Thank you for listening to Talking Walking Dead. We'll be back next week. Three episodes left, man.
It hurts. I know. I know it's going to be painful, but we'll be able to try to survive through it without putting a railroad spike through our necks.
Jason Buttrill, Maximus Fisher, myself, Jeff Fisher.
Thanks for listening to Talking Walking Dead.
