Season 11, episode 22, titled Faith.
That makes this talking walking dead.
Welcome to it.
Myself, Jeff Fisher, Jason Butchrell, and Maximus Fisher.
The sixth episode of the final eight, two episodes now remaining.
Episode description on IMD, B, Ezekiel, and Negan plan to work out the camp revolt.
Eugene stands trial with Yomiko as his defense attorney.
I enjoyed most of the episode.
I will say that the overall thought of the show now that no one of any importance can die.
It's a little frustrating.
I want someone to die, damn it.
They're not going to.
I'm torn out.
I know.
You know, I mean, that's the fallacy of them announcing all these new shows,
because we know people are protected.
You know what I mean?
The funny thing is, is that is, I will find it hilarious that even Angela Kang has said she was,
she has been upset with them announcing all the shows because she's like,
that takes away the surprise, but we have no control over AMC's marketing.
Yeah, I have no doubt.
Now, there, no, obviously.
And, okay, so even if you say, all right, so these new shows are announced and we know that,
you know, we're not killing off knee again, uh, even with the.
suspense of last night's episode, which we'll get to.
You knew he wasn't good.
It was a good episode, especially Negan.
I was doing this.
I mean, we can kill the wife.
We can kill, you know, we can kill some other people.
Like, I mean, we still have violin man traipsing around the wood somewhere.
Stop it.
Okay.
Okay.
We actually had Luke again.
Last time we saw Luke was the season 10 finale.
Yeah, where he was staying at Oceanside.
Yeah.
So I know.
And so we find out from him.
him wandering in the woods with his violin maker girlfriend that, you know,
Oceanside is gone.
Have a nice day back to Commonwealth.
If there's not a more perfect candidate to die, it's violin.
Thank you.
Somebody, please.
Just, you know, even if it's an accident.
Even if he accidentally, oh, darn, we lost them.
Darn the luck.
I don't think there are too many, like, fan pages or, like, fan groups, just dedicated
DeViolan Man.
No one's going to stop watching The Walking Dead.
I know.
He dies.
Come on.
So, and also is, now, I'm, where I was a little confused.
I read that in your notes.
I'll explain it.
Go ahead.
No, no, no.
Go ahead.
Where was I confused?
Read it.
Then I'll explain.
Where was I confused?
I just, Negan's wife.
I thought she was someplace else.
And then all of a sudden in this episode, she's there.
I, what did I miss there?
When they were separated, that group that was separated was immediately took to Alexandria or to Outpost 22, where the rest of them that we saw stay had to clear off the train tracks, then were being transported to Outpost 22.
Okay.
All right.
Fine.
Whatever.
I thought we, I thought she was somewhere.
else that was the plan anyway okay well and you're in your defense they did make it more of an issue
of they're separating us and i know yeah like that was said like yeah divide and conquer they're
separating us to bring us down and like the next thing she's there she's with them working with the
slave trade i get you i was i was like wait when did she show back up i thought we were mad because
she was gone yeah anyway i get you um and then we i love the uh you know the you know we we have
Such great security.
There's Daryl and Carol in the bush.
Watch it.
You know,
whatever.
It's our people.
I get it.
It's funny.
But it's just,
it's great security.
Also,
they are in the bush.
The thing is it's specifically
Daryl and Carol who hide in bushes quite often.
I know.
Seriously,
that was like a Rambo movie where he's just like running through the enemy's base and no
one sees him.
And it's like,
uh,
yeah,
this great training he has.
He's literally,
just running around in the open.
Okay, you got me.
We don't see you up there in the shrubbery.
All right.
If I could back up real quick,
that scene where violin men did show up,
they are clearly,
clearly projecting what's about to happen
in the next couple of episodes
because they,
I was scared they were not going to talk
about the climbing walkers,
but they did again.
And I think that's a very, like,
interesting point.
That's got to be a big...
We got two little scenes throwing forward of the different variant walkers, right?
Yep.
We had the Walker mentioned with violin man, and it could have been a climber.
Yeah.
And then we had...
When they were in the herd.
Skinface chick, Lydia.
When they were...
Yeah, when she was guiding the herd, and the one Walker picked up the knife, she dropped.
Yep.
Yeah, that was cool.
Yeah. So this is clearly the smart variant that's going. And they're being hurted not only by Lydia, but it kind of looked like the Commonwealth people are hurting them.
Well, they were driving them away, right? They're following the lights. That's why they were so, that's why Lydia, I think, and Aaron, and they were so frustrated, right? Because while they were trying to herd the walkers to go one direction, the Commonwealth know that the walkers follow the light. Yeah. Right. So they're hurting them away from.
the Commonwealth.
I think it's the opposite.
I think they're hurting them to the Commonwealth.
Oh.
That's just,
I mean,
that's just what I think.
The soldiers?
Yeah.
Because the last time there was crazy stuff going on,
Pamela,
you did basically the same thing.
Remember we were like,
how come all these walkers
are suddenly getting towards the walls?
And then at that point,
I thought it was,
what's his name?
CIA guy.
Yeah,
well,
the CIA guys killed the workers
to make sure that they turned into Walker
after the,
Yeah. It wasn't Pamela.
Yeah, but on the outside, remember we were saying that how did they get through all the defenses?
Oh, that's get through the defenses?
I think because then Pamela then used that threat to disperse the crowd.
I think that's the same thing happening right now.
But it's going to turn on them big time because, as I said, they're projecting with this.
These are smart walkers.
Right. Yeah. At least a couple of them are.
Right. We're going to have smart walkers and we're going to have our people pretending to be walkers.
Right.
So that's going to turn on them, yes.
That's what's leading to, I mean, I'm assuming that's Pamela's ultimate, get everybody protesting, you know, after the trial out of the streets or whatever, but it's going to turn on her.
Right.
That was an interesting little tidbit in the trial, too, where it's, you know, just the perfect in today's world.
That's not my son.
The voice was altered.
And the world, everyone knows.
No.
Yeah, not true.
But you have to believe it, right?
Because that's what she said.
Your typical politician.
Oh, no, that was somebody else.
I didn't do that.
Don't forget Anthony Weiner.
I wish that was me.
It was, Anthony.
Anyway, it was just.
My son's not doing shady business deals in China and Ukraine.
That's other people.
Oh, God.
These videos were altered.
Yeah.
Okay.
Got it.
So we all knew that, you know, we all knew that,
we talked about it last week how it had to be that
Mercer was going to turn and be the guy
he was the only guy that could
um you know they strung it out as long as they could in this episode
um but you know in the end
in the end you knew that it was he was there's no way
that Mercer's going to let Eugene
get killed yeah especially because he's been
like he's been thinking about doing this probably for a while
well even but before before that right I mean when
when Eugene took the fall and saved his sister.
That's when Mercer was on his side.
He's going to let that happen.
Yeah, they keep on talking about,
like I remember when Yumiko was trying to pull him in,
she was like, it would be powerful if you could testify,
you know, against her and pull all those,
all these, you know, some of these claims.
It would help us.
I'm curious about how that theory,
plus all the people that are now free from Alexandria,
all those people were disappeared by the Commonwealth.
So those are potentially big weapons that they can use
to do the same thing that Yumako wanted Mercer to do.
If they're brought back to the Commonwealth,
they can all testify about what's been happening.
Well, if they're brought back to the Commonwealth,
that's when Pamela can release the walkers, though, right,
and create chaos and the whole thing can go to hell.
In this theory, yeah, that's potentially what could happen.
Which would burn it down, which is what they, you know, which is what they want to do, right?
They want a whole new thing.
And if I see, if I see freaking Carol and Maggie crying and hugging, one more freaking time, I'm feeling bad, I may burn the whole thing down.
I can't take it.
These two women, these two women who have, who are on.
top of the world now for our people.
I mean, they're the ones. They're out there fighting.
They're going to turn the world. They've snuck into Alexandria.
We're going to, we're in the middle of battling, and we're still going to cry and whine
and talk about how, oh, I can't take it.
Even though it's probably human and accurate.
No, it's not.
They've got to move on.
They've already, we already had that last week at the secret camp that everybody knew about.
It's such a difference also
Because at one point they'll have
Maggie going
They're going to know who they still messed with
Right
They're never going to see us coming
And then the next thing they're crying
The next scene I'm like
I don't know what to do
When I still miss them shut up
Mood swings day
And they did that with
Daryl and the deaf lady
What's her name?
Connie
Yeah
The death lady
And you know
They're in the
sewer fighting walkers they have to stop that i just had one little scene of i know i'm scared to
shut up did you see in the in the sign language how the sewer was translated yeah the shit tunnel
yeah i loved that i loved that that was great because i mean that's what it is hello that's awesome
i mean that hey that's i mean that's old school coming into the city right i mean we saw that in game
of Thrones. We saw that
in many of the that's getting into
the city. And we know these sewers exist.
This is where Carl hit everybody during
when the Savior's attacked. Yeah.
Right. Right. So
you know, we'll see. And we at the
we can go back to
the
group where Negan had said, well, we'll get
into the Negan giving everyone hope.
So we had another fight between Negan and
the king. And the
again still being pissed at
Nagan and don't don't forget I haven't forgotten
can you blame him
well no
not really
but
move on
mister you had a tiger
you weren't perfect either
okay
I mean I know that you're a zookeeper
in real life I got it but
you know calm down a little bit
and we're we're together now
but he you know he's not going to let it go
Also, Negan got a little pissed at Ezekiel, but he, but that one seemed about like, you sure is hell to deserve be a father.
And he was like, I will be a father.
And I'll just move on.
Yeah, well, that, I mean, that's, but that's, but that's Negan actually playing the game.
Oh, yeah, true.
But still.
He told the king, look, I'm going to give you what you need to give these people hope.
And, you know, then, you know, you could save the, you can save the crowd because you'll be in charge and you'll give them hope, which is what he did.
I know. It was pretty amazing that he stole himself out to get killed to save the crowd,
but he didn't see the double cross coming from the leader.
I don't know that I actually believe that, but okay.
No, because the thing is with Negan, he was, if you watch any scene of him when he was the bad guy,
season seven and eight, he was a complete man of his world.
When he said he was going to do something, he would do it, and he never betray that.
That was one thing about Negan, you could always trust.
If he said he was going to do something or he said he wasn't going to do something,
he would do it or he wouldn't do it.
Are you saying that's a character flaw because he didn't see the other guy not doing that?
Yeah.
Right.
Because he told the wife that, you know, I was him.
And I know what I'm doing.
I was him.
He doesn't know we knew when, you know, their commandant was telling him that he wanted him to be the, be the inside man.
Yeah.
Tell him who was responsible.
And then he told the wife, you know, I was him.
But he didn't see the double cross coming up.
Okay.
Whatever.
Fine.
All right.
You got me.
But he gave him hope because they all stuck up for him.
You know, we're all Negan now.
And we're all Ezekiel.
And I was happy.
I was really happy because I thought somebody was going to die finally because I was like.
The Warren did.
I know.
I was like, kill them all.
What he said when they all stepped in front of Negan and he was like, they're kill them all.
Yes.
I'm like, go.
Let's see it.
I want them all drop.
Let's see them.
I didn't want that.
Nah, let them all go.
Let's end this thing.
Walk into walking there are two episodes left.
They're all dead.
Move on.
Yeah.
The princess would have died in that.
I know.
I don't really necessarily want that.
It just would have been funny to me.
It would have been that.
Well, people dying would have been funny.
Yes.
Yes.
It would at least make it to where we don't know exactly what's going to happen in the final two episodes.
Right.
And even if they just opened fire, right?
They all don't have to die.
But they all could get, you know, everybody, a couple could die.
Others get wounded.
And then they stop because the guy, you know, the soldier, 197 or whatever, that was
pissed that didn't get his transfer for his sick brother.
You know, that was a cute little set up there so that you knew he was going to be on
Nagan's side because he hated the commandant.
So, you know, I mean, it would have been nice to see a little gunfire on our people there.
Think how much better that would have been if they, if AMC had no done all that marketing
and we didn't know about the new shows coming out.
Like, why couldn't they just wait a little bit, right?
Before they started announcing these shows.
I mean, come on.
Like, that would have been, I would have been like, oh, crap,
Negan's getting it.
Like, I actually would have thought.
I would have, yeah.
But not at all.
The entire time, I'm like, okay.
That's why, that's why I think.
And I think this is where Angela screwed up.
Because if she said what, you know,
you're claiming that she said, Max,
is that she didn't have any control over the promotion and that that spoiled the thing.
Well, if they knew that that promotion was going to happen and couldn't stop,
it, then that particular scene, they should have opened fire on all those people. They all didn't
have to die, you know, but they could, they could have been wounded. And, you know, maybe you kill
a couple, you kill a couple that don't matter. Then, didn't that, here's the thing, didn't they
announced the Negan show after filming had wrapped? Yeah, maybe. Maybe.
I find it very hard to believe they don't have some power over. I do. I do. I don't really
think they do. I do, too. I mean, that, for the longest time,
I mean, that show has made that network.
I mean, it might not be their powerhouse right now, but that show made that network.
I mean, if...
With Breaking Bad, both of them.
Well, yeah, okay, but...
Now, Walking Dead is the top runner. No question there.
I mean, Walking Dead was, you know, kind of struggling, and then, you know, Netflix actually
saved Walking Dead, but it created a powerhouse for AMC when Netflix put those first two or
three seasons up that saved.
that show and the network.
But I find it hard to believe they didn't have some say on that either.
Before this, before I forget this, what the heck was happening with Herschel in that house?
I don't know.
I was like, did they go extremely dark here?
Like, I didn't know what the hell was going on.
I think they just kept all the kids separated.
I don't think it's going like hella, hella, hell of dark, but I don't know.
He was zip tied to a chair and the guy was like, I don't know what he was doing.
And all we heard him saying was shut up, shut up.
And he was like, and Marshall was screaming help.
What the hell was going on there?
Is there any explanation anywhere?
I kind of, maybe we'll find out because we still, we still don't know where Grace is.
We still don't know where RJ is.
We still don't know where Judith is.
Yeah, what about what's your face is, Jason's girl's kid?
Coco.
What's that kid's name?
Yeah, Coco.
Yeah, we still don't know where she is.
And that was the whole thing with Rosita,
which, by the way, I got to say,
I really like that.
She seemed like she had the Walker.
Like, as soon as the ward said,
you will lose everything,
she just pushed the Walker right in his face.
Yeah, I mean,
we did get to see his death.
That was nice.
I mean,
that was nice.
But you knew he was a character that we,
you know,
I,
I kind of liked him.
He was this badass guy.
I would have liked to see him a little bit more battle with this guy.
They know,
the good villains,
they always just kill off.
I'm like,
you don't have.
cares about this this what's his name matt or whatever that showed up that that princess said well
i didn't say i liked him but he'd be a badass i mean so okay cool but if he dies so what yeah
violet man so what violent man girlfriend so what we're bumbed you know we okay we're bummed there
were good characters we liked them and we appreciated what they did sorry about it take care you
know who's gonna you know who's gonna you know who's gonna take over the commonwealth and be the
villain for the final episode. It's going to be a huge shock for everybody.
He'll return from Fear the Walking Dead Metro Negan.
Oh, gosh.
With his RV group, they're back.
To save the day.
Silk shirt and shades.
Skinny jeans.
That's really funny.
That's not funny. Don't think about that.
Anyway, it was worthy. We have a couple episodes left now.
Oh, we had an F bomb at the end in a very very.
Jeffrey line that I knew you would like.
Very much so.
Very much of the mercy time to have it up.
It was awesome.
They're doing that a lot lately.
Almost every episode.
I know.
Really pushing it.
And that's, you know,
hey,
we're ending the season.
We're ending the whole series.
And we're on cable and we're on our,
on our app.
We're going to do what we want.
Pretty much,
yeah,
like pretty much can.
Like,
what are they going to do?
Cancel the next season?
Uh,
right.
Right.
I know, I know.
So, I mean, they're breaking some of those barriers, those rules, which I'm a fan of.
I freaking hate the word police, but the life we live in, I know.
But we'll see.
We'll see what happens.
I mean, we got a couple episodes.
It's awesome.
Literally a couple.
We have, right.
You know, we have Carol and Maggie and Daryl and Def Chick.
What's your name again?
Connie.
Yeah.
Def chick.
I do that for Max, just because he gets so bad with him.
whenever you forget important characters
names.
It's so bad and I ask him,
what's her name again?
He asked that about Rosita two weeks ago, by the way.
It gets so mad.
Anyway, so we have Darrell and the deaf chick.
What's her name?
And Maggie and Carol with the break-in to Alexandria.
And then Darrell comes to save the day
prior to the Walker kill of El Commandant, right?
Darrell was the one that got, came in behind him and stabbed him and saved the day,
dropped him to his knees.
That was, you know, it was kind of nice to have Darrell show up to save a little bit of that
with our crowd, no doubt about that.
It was good to have him there.
So, you know, we'll, we'll see.
Now we have everyone.
No one died.
We're all together.
Thank you.
And we could all, you know, now it's a matter of gathering our forces and try.
trying to take down Commonwealth.
And we have our inside forces inside Commonwealth with Mercer and Eugene and Max and Yumaco.
And is what's her face there still?
Who?
I don't remember.
Who's Yumiko's old girlfriend?
Magma.
Magna.
No, she's at, no, she's that, no, she's that Alex, Alexandria.
Yeah, so these people, they don't know what.
each is doing, right? So we've got to get some communication there somehow because both of these
entities are working separately now. They don't know what the other ones do. We kind of got that in the
clip on the show that comes out on after Vampire. Yeah, we did because we saw the,
we saw the clip that Princess reaches out to Mercer. Like with the radio. And so he knows that
he knows a little bit in that in that clip he knows they actually they connect so they know that each one is still alive and working toward that goal so we do know that yeah that's true so i mean that's what happens right so now they now we have to make our move uh you know pamela still thinks she's got it her plan is coming her plan is working still she found not guilty she's got the crowd she's going to kill he's going to kill uh he's going to kill uh eugene
and she's going to create something to get Commonwealth back to being her.
Her plan is still in the worst.
And we know that she has her guys hurting the walkers or climbers or whatever variant they are out in the woods, right?
So that plan still has to come.
Yeah, I think, yeah, I think she's lost the crowd, actually.
And I think I think the main, like the citizens of the Commonwealth are not on her side.
Yeah, I'm just assuming that.
what's going to bring in the herd. That was probably like the contingency plan, just in case things went sideways.
But things are really going to, I think, get crazy once they find out Eugene is escaped for what they think.
Well, yes.
Oh, she'll lose her mind. She'll lose her mind.
Yeah.
But, yeah, I think the entire group will start converging back into Commonwealth.
And I'm kind of excited to see what's going to happen with this herd.
I mean, that could get crazy with these variants, picking up knives and climbing walls.
Yeah, that would be fun.
That's a
In the show with
Walkers being dangerous again.
That's going to be cool, I think.
Because they were, they were dangerous again for the whispers,
and now they're dangerous again here.
Sweet.
Yeah, and the Whispers were just using them as...
Proxies, basically.
Yeah, the low variant walkers, right?
They were just herding up the dummies
and leading them into wherever they wanted to lead them.
Now, I mean,
tough fight not knowing what you're up against it's not an easy just go up to them and stab
them in the skull it's awesome yeah it's gonna be cool i know it'll be fun i'm looking forward to it
next episode is entitled family so i guess we all we have we find the kids and see if they were
being you know commonwealth molested or if they were just rounded up to be slaves i don't know
what was happening they were the ones that had the kids tied up not me i don't know about what
going out in there.
And we'll find out, Herschel was, you know,
did they touch you?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Maggie will hold up a little doll.
Come here, Hershey.
No, not.
No, shut up.
No.
Hershle, let me know where they touch.
That is so wrong.
I don't know.
I didn't write the show.
That just could happen.
All right.
Talking Walking Dead.
Thank you for a list.
A couple episodes left.
looking forward to them though
and we may
I don't know we'll see if we can
pull something off to maybe do the
final episode
on November 20th
as you know
maybe a live
theater show we'll see
we'll see what's up thanks for listening to
talking walking dead Jason Butchrell
any final thoughts
uh
I mean I think I guess I already really gave them
I do I do think they're headed towards like a big
Walker Showdown, which should be really cool,
and which will also, we got to remember,
they're teasing towards, I think,
the direction of some of the other shows.
Right. So a lot of the actions they take
in this next episode and the one
after that, the finale,
we'll start setting up those other shows
and it better freaking have
a certain cameo
or we riot. There's
no doubt about that. I mean, let's
just stop for just a second. This is the first
episode. We really didn't
mention that until
now and that has to happen that has to happen i don't know you know now it's looking like it's not
going to happen until the final episode which i i expected that i did okay i told you guys that i
expected that and i guess we get the we get the the chaos in the commonwealth if you if we're if
we're the ones doing it we get the chaos using their their plan they create the chaos
and the Commonwealth, and that brings Rick.
I disagree now. I think with the way they're going,
the way Rick is going to show up, and I still really want him to show up.
You know what they've done before? They don't do it often,
but they do it in really big episodes, and obviously the final episode is a giant episode.
Rick will show up in an end credit scene.
It's possible. It's possible.
Yeah. I mean, it doesn't.
I don't know that I let him off the hook with that, though.
That's still kind of ticking me off.
Yeah, if we can't give our characters some kind of, I mean, unless they're, I mean, I want them to know that Rick is alive.
If they don't do that in the finale, I think that's a big miss.
But it's possible they do like an after credits thing and then do that link, then they save that link up for their other spin-off shows to kind of give it some hype.
Right.
Which kind of pisses me off.
We know Daryl's going to go to freaking Paris, so.
and that Rick's probably involved with it somehow.
Right, because of the variance.
And we know that Negan and Maggie are going to New York, right?
So why are they going to New York?
Because Herschel is taken again by the investors.
They're in love with him and they take him.
I don't know.
He dropped his headphone, people.
So, I mean, I don't know why they would go.
That's the point.
We don't know.
All right, let's get out of here.
Thank you for listening to Talking Walk again.
We'll see you next week.
